This week, Corrine Malcolm and Keely Henninger dig into one of the most common questions they hear from endurance athletes: how should runners actually strength train? They break down why lifting can improve running economy, force production, muscle recruitment, tendon strength, and durability — and why those benefits matter just as much for ultrarunners as they do for athletes chasing faster speeds. They also get practical about what strength training should actually look like, including how often to lift, where to fit it into a running week, why heavier weights and lower reps may offer runners more benefit than endless high-rep exercises, and how plyometrics and eccentric work can prepare the body for the demands of technical trails and long descents. Plus, they talk about fueling for muscle adaptation and why strength becomes even more important across different stages of life, including perimenopause and menopause. It's a science-heavy but highly practical conversation about getting stronger, running more efficiently, and building a body that can keep doing this sport for the long haul.Follow Us:FeistyFest Details and Registration: https://livefeisty.com/events/feisty-fest/Women's Mechanic Camp in Tucson: https://livefeisty.com/events/bike-mechanic-school-tucson/Courses and Coaching: https://livefeisty.com/courses/@feisty_media@trail.societySupport our Partners:Use the code FEISTY2026 for 20% off at https://www.tifosioptics.comProBio: Use code Trail20 for 20%-off orders (30%-off + free shipping w/ subscriptions) at https://www.probionutrition.com/rabbit: Visit https://www.runinrabbit.com/ use code: SEPTEMBERTRAIL10 for 10% off.

Flodesk recently released its 2026 Email Marketing Trends Report, analyzing more than 3 million campaigns and 14 billion email deliveries. And while some of the findings reinforce long-standing email advice, others challenge the “best practices” we've all heard for years. In this episode, I'm breaking down the data through an eCommerce lens and digging into: Whether image-heavy emails actually hurt deliverability What segmentation really means for product-based businesses The subject line tactics that may, or may not, matter Which “spam words” are actually worth worrying about What the data says about the best days and times to send Why some list-growth and automation findings are a little misleading The email metrics I think matter more than opens and clicks You'll also hear why some of the tiny email optimizations people obsess over probably matter a lot less than you think, and what I'd prioritize instead if your goal is actually making more sales from email. If you've ever wondered whether you're sending at the wrong time, using too many images, overthinking your subject lines, or following outdated email marketing advice, this episode will give you a much better framework for deciding what's worth testing in your business. _______ Links Mentioned Full Show Notes https://ecommercebadassery.com/392   _______ Learn With Me Work with Me 1:1 https://ecommercebadassery.com/ecommerce-help/ https://ecommercebadassery.com/email-marketing/   Courses & Membership https://ecommercebadassery.com/membership https://ecommercebadassery.com/programs   _______   Let's Connect Website: http://ecommercebadassery.com Instagram: http://instagram.com/ecommercebadassery Membership: http://ecommercebadassery.com/membership   _______   Rate, Review, & Subscribe Like what you heard? Leave us a messge!!////RE-RELEASE////In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I talk about edging and how it can be used inside a female-led relationship. This episode is the first part of a three-episode plan where I wanted to talk about edging first, then orgasm denial and orgasm control, and then eventually bring my subbie on to talk about whether these things are actually necessary for a successful long-term female-led relationship.I start by breaking down the stages of orgasm, because understanding arousal matters if you are going to talk about edging. Edging is basically getting yourself or your partner right to the edge of orgasm, stopping the stimulation, letting things calm down, and then starting again. It can be done alone or with a partner, and it can create stronger orgasms, more awareness of your body, and a deeper sense of connection.I also talk about why people need to know their own bodies before they can expect a partner to know what works for them. Masturbation, sex toys, communication, and self-exploration should not carry shame. If you do not know what feels good to you, how are you supposed to explain that to someone else?Inside an FLR, edging can be used in a lot of different ways. It can be punishment, reward, foreplay, denial, connection, mindfulness, or just something fun and hot to explore together. For me, the most interesting part is how intentional it can make both partners. You have to pay attention. You have to know your partner's signs. You have to communicate what you want from the experience. The biggest takeaway is that edging is another tool you can use in your relationship if it works for you. It does not have to be part of every FLR, but it can absolutely add power, control, anticipation, and connection when both people are into it.5 Talking PointsWhat edging actually isI explain edging in simple terms: getting yourself or your partner right to the edge of orgasm, stopping stimulation, letting the body calm down, and then starting again. Why edging can make orgasms strongerOne of the biggest reasons people practice edging is because it can make the final orgasm feel more intense, last longer, or feel more powerful.Know your body before expecting someone else to know itI talk about why self-exploration matters. If you do not know what turns you on or what feels good, it is much harder to communicate that to a partner.Sex toys are not a threatI push back on the idea that a woman using a vibrator or toy means her partner is not enough. Toys can add sensation, variety, and intensity. They should not automatically be taken as an insult. How edging can fit into an FLREdging can be used as punishment, reward, foreplay, denial, or connection. Like everything else in a female-led relationship, how you use it depends on your dynamic, your communication, and what works for both of you.To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! EP 552: Allowing Yourself to Receive Support Without Feeling Guilty with Maryam

Over It And On With It

Play Episode Listen Later Aug 26, 2026 29:58

What if receiving love and support feels almost as uncomfortable as the pain you're already carrying? In this deeply compassionate coaching session, Christine works with Maryam, an Iranian woman living in Norway who is struggling with grief, fear, and guilt as she witnesses tremendous suffering in her homeland while her family remains in Iran. At the same time, Maryam has built a beautiful life with a loving husband who consistently shows up for her. He listens, comforts her, walks with her, and gives her space to grieve. Yet instead of simply receiving his support, Maryam often finds herself apologizing for needing it. Underneath that guilt is a powerful question: If people I love are suffering, is it okay for me to feel safe, supported, and loved? Christine helps Maryam explore how trauma can condition the nervous system to expect chaos and suffering—making safety and love feel unfamiliar when they finally arrive. Sometimes, without realizing it, we may even add guilt to positive experiences as a way of recalibrating back toward what feels familiar. Together, they explore collective grief, survivor's guilt, highly sensitive nervous systems, receiving in relationships, and the difference between compassionately witnessing suffering and believing you must suffer alongside someone in order to love them. If you've ever felt guilty for having something another person doesn't, struggled to receive help without apologizing, or believed that your own happiness somehow minimizes someone else's pain, this conversation offers a powerful invitation to choose differently. Press play to discover why your suffering doesn't relieve someone else's—and how allowing yourself to receive love may actually give you greater capacity to offer love in return. Consider / Ask Yourself Do you feel guilty receiving support when other people are struggling? Is it easier for you to care for others than to allow someone to care for you? Do you unconsciously believe that suffering alongside someone proves how much you love them? When something good enters your life, do you find yourself waiting for something bad to happen or creating additional worry? Can you allow yourself to experience safety and love even when suffering exists elsewhere? Key Insights and A-Ha's Compassion for another person's suffering doesn't require adding unnecessary suffering to your own life. Trauma can orient the nervous system toward chaos, making love, safety, and support feel unfamiliar. Guilt can become a way of limiting how much goodness we're willing to receive. Receiving support doesn't make you less compassionate, committed, or connected to the people you care about. Rejecting support can also prevent someone you love from experiencing the gift and purpose of supporting you. Your suffering does not automatically lessen someone else's suffering. Receiving love can expand your capacity to give love. Sometimes healing means allowing your nervous system to recalibrate to safety instead of continually tethering itself to pain. How to Deepen the Work When you notice yourself apologizing for needing support, try replacing "I'm sorry" with "Thank you," "I love you," or "I'm grateful you're here with me." Notice what happens in your body when someone offers you love, comfort, or support without asking for anything in return. Remind yourself that it is safe to receive—even when other parts of your life or the world feel uncertain. Ask yourself whether your suffering is actually helping the situation you're concerned about. Give yourself permission to step away from collective pain at times and return to the reality of your own present moment. Practice receiving support without immediately feeling obligated to reciprocate it. Recent research shows that between 40 and 60% of women either change or quit their sport due to bladder leaks. That's 100% too many in our book. So this week we sat down with Dr. Lauren Siff, a double board-certified urogynecologist to demystify one of women's health's most under-discussed issues: urinary leakage. We break down the differences between stress and urge incontinence, why athletes and active women are prone to leaking, and how the menopausal transition can worsen the situation through declining estrogen, shifting vaginal pH, and rising UTI risk. Dr. Siff walks us through the full range of solutions, from pelvic floor exercises and support devices to Botox, bladder stimulators, and the game-changing role of vaginal estrogen, plus how to know when it's time to seek care. Her message is loud and clear in this one: no matter how small or severe the symptoms, there's help available — and you never have to stop doing what you love.Dr. Siff is a double board-certified urogynecologist and Chief of Gynecology and Urogynecology for the Central Virginia VA Health Care System and Associate Professor at VCU School of Medicine and VCU Institute of Engineering. A dedicated innovator and surgical educator — with a Distinguished Educator certificate from the Cleveland Clinic and founder of SurgicalEd VR, which uses VR and haptic technology to improve the quality, safety, cost-effectiveness, and accessibility of surgical training. She also serves board and committee roles with the Society for Gynecologic Surgeons, American Urogynecologic Society, and American Association of GYN Laparoscopists. She is Central Virginia Site Lead for the National VA Women's Health Research Network, and chairman of the U.S. National Surgery Office's Surgical Advisory Board for GYN. Andrea and Ann Théato untangle the distinctions between psychic perception, mediumship, and channeling, while discussing why training, ethics, and discernment matter. Ann explains how psychic information is read from the living, how mediumistic communication comes through from spirit, and why developing these abilities requires more than simply trusting every impression that enters your mind. The conversation also opens into the larger possibilities of consciousness, from psychometry, tarot, crystal balls, and scrying to reincarnation, multidimensional awareness, and life beyond death. In last week's episode, we talked all about why product curation is the real MVP of your holiday sales strategy. This week? We're tackling part two of the equation: your content marketing plan. Because the truth is, even the best product curation won't sell if nobody knows it exists. In this episode, I'm walking you through the Q4 content principles you need to follow if you want your marketing to actually convert this season.   Here's what you'll learn: The reason clever content is killing your Q4 sales (and what to do instead) One shift that turns your product from “meh” to must-gift What your overwhelmed customer actually needs from your content (hint: it's not more emojis) The invisible copy mistake that's secretly costing you conversions How to shut down buyer hesitation before it ever bubbles up What most brands get totally wrong about email frequency (and how to fix it without annoying your list) Why sounding like a broken record might be your best Q4 strategy _______ Links Mentioned Full Show Notes https://ecommercebadassery.com/391   Gift Guide Glow-Up https://ecommercebadassery.com/glowup   Holiday Content Bundle https://ecommercebadassery.com/holiday-content   More Holiday Podcast Episodes https://ecommercebadassery.com/holidaypodcast   _______ Learn With Me Work with Me 1:1 https://ecommercebadassery.com/ecommerce-help/ https://ecommercebadassery.com/email-marketing/   Courses & Membership https://ecommercebadassery.com/membership https://ecommercebadassery.com/programs   _______   Let's Connect Website: http://ecommercebadassery.com Instagram: http://instagram.com/ecommercebadassery Membership: http://ecommercebadassery.com/membership   _______   Rate, Review, & Subscribe Like what you heard? Leave us a messge!!In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I continue the listener Ask Me Anything episode with my subbie joining me again to answer questions about our real-life female-led relationship. This episode covers everything from tattoos and piercings to chastity, parenting, kink, FLR labels, cuckolding, friendship, trust, and whether I would ever play with another submissive. Some of the questions get personal, but that is part of why I love this kind of episode. It gives me a chance to talk openly about the difference between fantasy, reality, communication, and what actually works inside our relationship. One of the biggest topics in this episode is how much your teen children should or should not know about a parent's FLR or kinky lifestyle. I talk about the fact that my teen kids do not know the sexual details of our relationship, but they do understand that I am the decision maker in the house. I also talk about how being a parent does not mean you stop being a human being with needs, desires, identity, and a private life.We also talk about labels, why some people want them, and why others avoid them. Some couples may already be living a female-led relationship without ever calling it that. For some men, the label can feel validating because it gives the dynamic structure and weight. For others, the label may feel too exposed because FLR still carries a social stigma.Later in the episode, we get into whether I would ever play with another submissive or another dominant man as part of teasing, cuckolding, or power exchange. The answer, like so many things in this lifestyle, is that it depends on the person, the connection, the trust, and the communication. Nothing is really off the table in theory, but anything that happens has to be grounded in safety, honesty, and the foundation of our relationship. At the heart of this episode is the same thing this podcast has always been about: we are two people madly in love, sharing what we know from the life we actually live. This is about honest conversation, building community, answering questions, and helping people feel less alone in their own dynamics.5 Talking PointsContinuing the listener Ask Me AnythingI answer more listener questions with my subbie, and we talk through some of the more personal, complicated, and honest parts of our FLR.Children, privacy, and living an FLR as a parentI talk about whether our kids know about our lifestyle, what they do and do not know, and why being a parent does not mean you stop being an individual with your own private life. The power and problem of labelsWe talk about how some people may already be living in an FLR without using that label. For some people, the words “female-led relationship” can feel validating. For others, the label can feel risky because of the stigma attached to it.Trust is the foundation of any expanded dynamicWhether the topic is cuckolding, playing with another submissive, or involving another dominant personality, the answer always comes back to trust, communication, safety, and the strength of the relationship. This podcast is about community, not perfectionI talk about wanting more listener questions and conversations because this podcast is not about pretending we have all the answers. It is about sharing what we live, giving our opinions, and building a community where people can talk honestly. To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! There's no shortage of information about short-term rentals.Podcasts. YouTube videos. Facebook groups. AI. Courses. Conferences. Tools. Software. In fact, sometimes there's so much information that figuring out what you actually need to do next becomes the hard part. And if you're a newer host, it can leave you wondering whether you're really ready to do this at all.In this episode, I'm sitting down with my friend Jodie Odlin, short-term rental host, hospitality professional, and creator of the Hospitable Hosts book series, to talk about what actually makes someone a great host — and spoiler alert: it isn't having every piece of technology, every fancy amenity, or every system perfectly dialed in.Sometimes, you need to get back to basics. We talk about the difference between simply owning a short-term rental and truly understanding hospitality, why more information doesn't necessarily create better hosts, and how to turn what you're learning into action instead of allowing it to become another source of overwhelm.Jodie also shares one of the biggest mistakes she made in her own STR business — waiting years to collect guest email addresses — and why building relationships with your guests beyond the OTAs matters. And because this is a conversation between Jodie and me, we somehow take a rather unexpected detour into… beekeeping.

Identify one standard you're chasing that isn't yours and pause it this week. 2. Replace doom‑scrolling with a tactile activity (e.g., crochet, chess) to reset mental bandwidth. 3. Share resources (books, articles) that center marginalized voices instead of speaking for them.Publishing insights: A slower, deliberate book proposal can yield a far better deal than an immediate offer.Chrissy's Substack, The Liberation Collective – https://chrissyking.com/substack (or similar)Instagram & TikTok: @iamchrissyking – https://instagram.com/iamchrissykingIf you found this conversation valuable, hit Subscribe so you never miss an episode, leave a review on your favorite platform, and share the episode with fellow entrepreneurs who are ready to break free from limiting body narratives. Out-of-Unit Members: Many mid-singles attend their neighborhood wards while also participating in mid-singles wards, creating a challenge for leaders to maintain engagement and consistency. Family Influence: Family obligations can pull mid-singles away from ward activities, making it difficult for them to build connections within their ward family. Spiritual Focus: Rob emphasizes that the primary role of leaders is to connect members with Christ, rather than solely focusing on helping them get married. Meaningful Activities: Activities should be Christ-centered and relevant to the members’ lives, fostering a sense of community and belonging. Leadership Applications Encourage Engagement: Leaders should create an environment where mid-singles feel valued and included, recognizing their unique challenges and encouraging them to participate in ward activities. Foster Connections: Leaders can facilitate opportunities for mid-singles to connect with each other and with Christ through intentional, spiritually uplifting activities that focus on attributes of Jesus Christ. Communicate with Families: Leaders should engage with the families of mid-singles to help them understand the importance of allowing their loved ones the space to build their own lives and relationships within the ward community. 00:02:30 – Cultural Dynamics in Mid-Singles Wards 00:04:00 – Understanding the Mid-Singles Experience 00:04:30 – Interview with Bishop Robert Cornilles Begins 00:05:00 – Bishop Cornilles’s Calling Story 00:07:00 – Formation of the New Mid-Singles Ward 00:08:30 – Challenges of Serving a Mid-Singles Ward 00:10:00 – Selecting Counselors for the Bishopric 00:12:00 – Current Responsibilities as a Bishop 00:13:00 – Mid-Singles Bishops Councils in Utah 00:15:00 – The Need for Mid-Singles Wards 00:16:00 – Cultural Challenges for Mid-Singles 00:20:00 – Navigating Family Dynamics and Church Involvement 00:22:00 – The Dilemma of Out-of-Unit Members 00:25:00 – Building a Strong Ward Culture 00:28:00 – Encouraging Engagement in the Ward 00:30:00 – The Importance of Personal Relationships 00:32:00 – Respecting the Needs of Mid-Singles 00:34:00 – Connecting Members with Christ 00:37:00 – Creating Meaningful Activities 00:40:00 – Intentionality in Planning Activities 00:46:00 – Monthly Themes and Attributes of Christ The award-winning Leading Saints Podcast is one of the top independent Latter-day Saints podcasts as part of nonprofit Leading Saints’ mission to help Latter-day Saints be better prepared to lead. Brian and Richard are back for Episode 631 of the Chasing Tone Podcast - The cheat code for tonechasers and Brian get's heated and drops an f-bombWith Blake away eating pizza at the Fretboard Summit, Brian and Richard are left holding the baby, and swear they won't open with AI...yeah, right....Richard professes that a possibly-AI peppered piano playlist pervaded his daughter's wedding (say that after a couple of ales), and Brian floats a theory about record labels, capitalism and the Dark Side of the Pop Tart. From the enshittification of everything to personalized audio recommendations, the guys land on the big question: if a machine just hands you Gilmour's tone from a single prompt, have you cheated the whole game? This somehow turns into a conversation about Brian's very specific coffee tastes. Brian also swears as he becomes heated and blows a gasket. Richard shares a genuine "they're using my stuff" moment as his Fuzz pedal gets complements from a band that Richard covers in his own band and he also discovers a piece of hardware that Brian needs to own.The Illuminati, self-leveling frets, a Bass VI worth selling a kidney for, and the reason Brian should never set up his own guitar...it's all in this week's Chasing Tone!We are on Patreon now too!Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/chasingtonepodcast)Courses and DIY mods:https://www.bluesguitarmethod.comhttps://www.betterguitartone.comhttps://www.wamplerdiy.comhttps://www.guitarpedalcourse.comCheck out Oliver Effects:https://oliverfx.co.ukYoutube:https://www.youtube.com/@chasingtonepodcastFind us at:https://www.wamplerpedals.com/https://www.instagram.com/WamplerPedals/https://www.facebook.com/groups/wamplerfanpage/Support the show

Leave us a messge!!In this back catalog re-release of Krystine's FLR Podcast, I answer listener questions in an “Ask Me Anything” episode with my subbie joining me to give his side of the dynamic. This episode gets into some of the more intimate and honest parts of our female-led relationship, including forced bi, chastity, denial, release schedules, whether orgasms are reward-based or pleasure-based, and what the actual goal of chastity is in our relationship.I talk about the importance of communication, boundaries, and safe words, especially when you are dealing with fantasies or activities that push someone outside of their comfort zone. We also talk about how chastity is not just a game or a short-term challenge for us. It has become part of our lifestyle, our connection, and the quiet background of our dynamic. One of the biggest themes in this episode is that denial does not equal unhappiness. My husband is denied often, sometimes for long stretches of time, and he still describes this as the happiest time of his life. For us, chastity and denial are not about punishment alone. They are about connection, control, closeness, service, and reinforcing who leads and who follows. We also talk about why I like having my subbie on the podcast. A lot of my listeners are men, and I think hearing from someone who lives as a submissive husband every day can be helpful. At the heart of this episode is the same goal I have had from the beginning: to build a real community where people can ask questions, talk honestly, and feel less alone in this lifestyle.5 Talking PointsAsk Me Anything: real listener questionsI answer questions sent in by a listener, and my subbie joins me to offer his perspective as someone living this female-led dynamic every day.Forced bi, boundaries, and safe wordsI talk through the idea of forced bi, the difference between fantasy and actual consent, and why communication and safe words matter before stepping into anything that pushes comfort zones.Denial does not mean unhappinessWe talk openly about how often I deny my husband and how he can still be genuinely happy, fulfilled, and connected inside that denial.Chastity as lifestyle, not a short-term goalChastity is not really a challenge or temporary exercise for us. It has become part of our daily life, our bond, and the way our power exchange quietly exists in the background.Building a real FLR communityI talk about wanting my subbie on the podcast more often because many listeners are men who may benefit from hearing his side. This podcast is not just about us talking. It is about building community and helping people understand this lifestyle in a real way.To find that Audio versions of the FLR Skool courses, just click here.Or FLRSkool SubscribeSupport the showWant to keep this conversation going?Join us inside FLRSkool.com — where real couples are having real conversations about female-led relationships! Over It And On With It

What happens when loving the people in your life starts to feel like being responsible for keeping everyone okay? In this deeply compassionate coaching session, Christine works with Jessica, who is navigating several major transitions at once: the end of a 10-year relationship with her best friend and business partner, building her own creative career, and watching her mother rapidly decline from Alzheimer's at a young age. As the oldest of four siblings, Jessica has spent much of her life carrying a strong sense of responsibility and loyalty toward the people she loves. When someone is hurting, her instinct is to step in, protect them, fix the problem, or even put her own life on hold to make sure they're okay. But that way of loving has become exhausting. Christine helps Jessica recognize the difference between holding space for someone and trying to protect them from pain. What Jessica has understood as love and compassion is sometimes an old survival pattern—one that tells her she can only feel safe when everyone around her is okay. Together, they explore over-responsibility, codependency, boundaries, grief, nervous system regulation, and the enormous amount of energy we can lose worrying about situations we simply cannot control. If you've ever been the strong one, the caretaker, the oldest daughter, the empath, or the person everyone depends on, this episode will help you recognize where love may have become tangled with worry, guilt, fear, and responsibility. Press play to discover how to love people deeply without carrying their pain—and how reclaiming that energy can help you finally have more capacity for your own life. Consider / Ask Yourself Do you feel responsible for making sure the people you love are okay? When someone you care about is suffering, do you immediately feel compelled to fix or rescue them? Have you confused worrying about someone with loving them? Are you spending so much energy managing other people's feelings that you have little left for your own needs? Can you allow someone you love to experience pain without believing it's your responsibility to make it better? Key Insights and A-Ha's Holding space for someone is not the same as protecting them from pain. Over-responsibility can become an identity and survival pattern, especially when it begins early in life. Love can become unconsciously paired with worry, caretaking, fear, and control. Worry can create the illusion that we're doing something when we're facing a situation we cannot control. Constantly putting yourself in someone else's shoes can cause you to carry suffering that may not actually be yours. When we focus primarily on other people's discomfort, we can lose touch with our own grief and needs. Trying to fix everything may provide short-term relief but can lead to long-term exhaustion and burnout. Healthy boundaries aren't about becoming cold or disconnected—they allow love and truth to exist together. How to Deepen the Work When you feel the urge to rescue someone, pause and notice what is happening in your body before taking action. Remind yourself: "Someone I love is going through something I cannot control." When an old caretaking pattern activates, meet it with compassion instead of criticizing yourself for falling into it again. Practice giving the people you love the dignity of experiencing and moving through their own feelings. Pay attention to the "energy leaks" created by worry, guilt, overthinking, and trying to control what isn't yours to control. Ask yourself what you need emotionally before automatically turning your attention toward everyone else. People often think of weight loss drugs like GLP-1 and related agonists (e.g., Wegovy and Mounjaro) as “medications”--which they are, but they work because they mimic our own natural gut hormones to lower blood sugar, slow digestion, blunt appetite, and ultimately reduce weight. In that way, they're weight health hormone replacement therapies much like estrogen and progesterone are sex hormone replacement therapies, says this week's guest best-selling dietitian Ashley Koff, RD. We dig into weight-health hormones (GLP-1, GIP, PYY, CCK) that regulate appetite and metabolism, why digestion and hydration have to be optimized before nutrition even enters the picture, and how GLP-1 medications and hormone replacement therapy can work together in perimenopause and menopause. This week, after a Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift debrief, Corrine Malcolm and Hillary Allen take on RED-S and low energy availability through Hillary's own recent experience with injury and recovery. What started as overreaching and under-recovery became a bigger lesson in how training stress, work stress, life changes, sleep, fueling, and healing all draw from the same finite pool of energy. They talk about:why RED-S can affect athletes at any sizewhy it isn't synonymous with disordered eatinghow low energy availability can slow injury recoveryand why even athletes who understand the science can still miss the signs in themselves. It's a candid, practical conversation about listening sooner, fueling enough, and learning that stress is stress — no matter where it comes from.Forbes Article: Why It Took 119 Years To Build A Tour de France For WomenFollow Us:FeistyFest Details and Registration: https://livefeisty.com/events/feisty-fest/Women's Mechanic Camp in Tucson: https://livefeisty.com/events/bike-mechanic-school-tucson/Courses and Coaching: https://livefeisty.com/courses/@feisty_media@trail.societySupport our Partners:Use the code FEISTY2026 for 20% off at https://www.tifosioptics.comProBio: Use code Trail20 for 20%-off orders (30%-off + free shipping w/ subscriptions) at https://www.probionutrition.com/rabbit: Visit https://www.runinrabbit.com/ use code: SUMMERTRAIL for 10% off.

    Mark Bell's Power Project

Getting older doesn't mean I have to stop lifting, running, sprinting, or doing the things I love. But it might mean I need to change the way I approach them.In this episode, we talk about how to stay in the game for decades by balancing intensity with longevity. We get into why constantly redlining your workouts can eventually work against you, why most people may benefit from doing more easy “green zone” work, how injuries turn into bigger problems when you refuse to listen to your body, and why enjoyment might be one of the most overlooked pieces of long-term fitness. We also talk about walking, conditioning, nasal breathing, isometrics, cross-training, David Goggins, Cam Hanes, strength, athleticism, and what it actually means to train for your future self. You might not always be able to lift what you lifted at 25 — but that doesn't mean you have to become the person saying, “I used to do that.”Special perks for our listeners below!
