In 2024, key legal and regulatory shifts transformed the ESG landscape across the U.S., Canada, U.K., and EU. In the U.S., the SEC adopted—and later stopped defending—climate disclosure rules, while the Department of Labor's ESG rule faced litigation and Congress advanced anti-ESG bills. At the same time, the EPA began deploying $27 billion under the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, and youth-led climate lawsuits saw major wins. California's climate reporting laws (SB 253, SB 261, AB 1305) faced challenges but remained in effect, and greenwashing litigation expanded to cover broad corporate ESG claims. Internationally, the U.K. introduced mandatory Biodiversity Net Gain rules, the EU implemented the CSRD and CSDDD, and Canada passed a new Modern Slavery Act. Together, these changes mark a global move toward greater corporate transparency and environmental accountability. Hoci sa snažíme vyhnúť nervozite za volantom, niekedy je to náročné. Ako reagovať na "myšičkárov" a čo robiť, aby sme zvládli dlhé cesty s rodinou bez zbytočného stresu? Na tieto otázky odpovedala dopravná psychologička Romana Mrázová v podcaste Autobazar.EU.Pribúda na cestách nervóznych vodičov?Na úvod rozhovoru psychologička Mrázová poukazuje na to, že napätie na cestách stúpa. „Neviem vám na túto otázku odpovedať, neviem, aké sú štatistiky, ale z hľadiska toho, ako ľudia zvyknú reagovať na dopravnú situáciu, tak mám pocit, že sa na cestách atmosféra zhusťuje. Ten tlak je citeľnejší aj v tej dopravnej situácii,“ uviedla psychologička v rozhovore s moderátorom podcastu Ďurom Sabom.Ako reagovať na agresívnych vodičovJednou z najčastejších situácií, ktorú vodiči zažívajú, je vyblikávanie a takzvané „robenie myšiek“. V takej chvíli je podľa psychologičky najlepšie vyhnúť sa konfrontácii. „Určite nie je dobrá ani stratégia, že 'ja ti teraz ukážem a zostanem v tomto pruhu a naschvál pôjdem pomaly'. To robenie myšiek a vyblikovanie je pasívna agresia, ktorá sa prejavuje takýmto nátlakovým správaním. Môže sa stať, že takýto vodič si to otočí smerom k vám: 'Tu ma niekto zdržoval a kvôli tomu som nestihol prejsť cez križovatku'. Ide o nastavenie, ktoré taký človek v hlave má. 'Ja mám nejaký cieľ, za ním si idem a nevnímam to, čo sa deje okolo mňa inak, ako to, čo si ja predstavujem',“ vysvetľuje Mrázová.Prázdninové cestovanie a nervozita v auteBlížiace sa prázdniny a dovolenky znamenajú dlhé cesty, často s celou rodinou. Ako zvládnuť horúčavy a napätie v aute? Kľúčové sú časté prestávky. „Ja si myslím, že je dobré dávať si častejšie prestávky. Aby každá tá veková kategória to zvládla po svojom. Je dobré si dať pauzu, akoby si oddýchnuť od toho auta a sedenia,“ odporúča psychologička.Dôležité je myslieť najmä na deti „Ak to je dlhá cesta, tak vieme, že hlavne pri deťoch je to náročnejšie. V rámci tých páuz je dobré vyhľadávať odpočívadlá, kde je aj ihrisko, alebo niečo podobné, kde to dieťa môže mať aktivity, ktoré ho zabavia. Ak sa dieťa môže aspoň na chvíľu prebehnúť, je to len dobre,“ hovorí Mrázová a dodáva: „Už keď tie deti za nami začnú v aute veľmi žiť, už to vplýva aj na rodičov. Všetci pauzu privítajú.“Keď sa napätie stáva neznesiteľnýmHoci filmové scény s hádkami v aute môžu byť zábavné, v reálnom živote je to inak. „Nie, vôbec nie,“ potvrdzuje psychologička. „Aj keď viem, že niekedy je taká stratégia, že už tam chcem byť čo najskôr a je mi úplne jedno, čo sa vzadu v aute deje, ale nie je to veľmi dobrá stratégia. Toto všetko vytvára pocit napätia a to nie je dobré. Človeka to prirodzene vyrušuje, preto je dobré urobiť si pauzu, ale treba rátať s tým, že cesta sa nám predĺži o...

With 20% of global LNG flowing through the Strait of Hormuz, even threats of disruption have raised EU gas prices by 20%. Europe's refusal to sign long-term LNG deals or develop local hydrocarbon resources is backfiring. Oil and the security of its supply have stolen the media spotlight in the context of the new Middle East war, and with good reason. Ever since Israel first bombed Iran, diesel prices have soared, jet fuel prices have soared, and importers have been troubled. For Europe, the situation is even worse due to natural gas. Europe has been hurt more than others by the diesel price surge because it has boosted its imports considerably over the past years. About 20% of the diesel Europe consumes comes from imports, and a lot of these imports come from the Middle East. The situation is not much different in jet fuel. Europe depends on imports and a solid chunk of these imports comes from the Middle East. What's true of these essential fuels is doubly true of natural gas—even though direct imports of gas from the Middle East constitute a modest 10% of total imports. Yet they constitute a substantial portion of global gas exports, so any suggestion of disrupted supply affects gas prices in exactly the same way it has affected oil prices—and makes a vital commodity less affordable for Europeans.  Europe needs to refill its gas storage caverns for next winter. Even if it cancels the 90% refill rate requirement, it still needs to buy a lot of gas, most of it on the spot market because of that aversion to long-term gas commitments it believes is part and parcel of the transition effort. And geopolitics has made LNG costlier—which will add billions to the refill bill.
