JSA #57 / Hawkman #24 (2004)It's a double dose of #JSApril this week as we double up the conversation on the next two installments of the “Black Reign” story arc!In JSA, the team makes its way to Kahndaq, having to use air travel as opposed to magic travel because Nabu's being REAL cranky these days. Along the way, Power Girl calls Hawkman an ass, Black Adam bifurcates thru the JSA transport and all of Northwind's friends, with their bird talons and supple chests, look to make mincemeat of the heroes.Over in HAWKMAN, Doctor Fate seemingly turns heel as Nabu mucks up the JSA on the offensive. Hawkman clangs his own son on the head with his mace, Brainwave probes Shazam's teenage thoughts and Hourman is gutted….literally! All this plus Jen and Shawn offer a correction regarding Billy Batson's age and discuss Jason Todd's failed pro wrestling career.*** PROPER COMIC BOOK DISCUSSION STARTS AT 00:09:55 ***Promos: #JSAPRIL (https://fireandwaterpodcast.com/podcast/jsapril/) / THE MONITOR TAPES (http://themonitortapes.com)Continue the conversation with Shawn and Jen on Twitter / Instagram / Facebook / Threads / Bluesky or email the show at worstcollectionever@gmail.comAlso, get hip to all of our episodes on YouTube in its own playlist! https://bit.ly/WorstCollectionEverYTDownload the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and wherever you get your favorite shows. JSA #56 (2004)Welcome to #JSApril! Worst Collection Ever is proud to participate in this celebration of JSA content by delivering our wicked takes on Geoff Johns's “Black Reign” saga! This issue plays out more like the first act of a promsing action flick, with Black Adam recruiting a crew of disenchanted, mayhem-seeking folks to help him liberate his home country of Kahndaq. We got the assassin Nemesis, a tatted-up Eclipso, a freshly-mutated Northwind, a conflicted Atom Smasher and Chester Bennington of Linkin Park aka Brainwave aka Robert Englund from the V mini-series. The scene gets bloody and emotional and there are cooling brains all over the place. We also spend a bit of time parsing out Northwind's creation so, if you new to the podcast, put a fun movie on for the kids and then hide under a blanket while you listen to this. All this plus Jen and Shawn buy a bunch of cheap trades, new DC Absolute offerings and the Hawk Tuah Girl runs afoul of the Dark Knight![NOTE — we (or specifically Shawn) refers to Northwind a bunch as “Hawkwind.” Hawkwind was a band that Lemmy was in before Motörhead - we are aware of this. We will most likely screw this up again, so there you go]*** PROPER COMIC BOOK DISCUSSION STARTS AT 00:22:14 ***Promo: #JSAPRIL (https://fireandwaterpodcast.com/podcast/jsapril/)Continue the conversation with Shawn and Jen on Twitter / Instagram / Facebook / Threads / Bluesky or email the show at worstcollectionever@gmail.comAlso, get hip to all of our episodes on YouTube in its own playlist! https://bit.ly/WorstCollectionEverYTDownload the podcast on Spotify, Apple Podcasts and wherever you get your favorite shows. If the title doesn't give it away, Wolverine is finally wearing his comics accurate suit. THIS IS NOT A DRILL! 24 years later and its finally happening. Anyway, Microsoft seems to have won its case against the FTC, and its acquisition of ActivisionBlizzard should be able to go through. The Emmys have announced their nominees, Ashoka released a trailer, and Bog Iger isn't going anywhere anytime soon. That and a whole lot more.
Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes Superman Legacy Cast Gets a Little More Super According to reports, James Gunn's Superman Legacy continues to fill out it's cast with three new notable additions: Nathan Fillion will portray Green Lantern, Guy Gardner; Isabela Merced, most known for Dora and the Lost City of Gold is set to appear as Hawkgirl, and X-Men: First Class's Edi Gathegi joins the fray as Mister Terrific. That's a lot of super-powered folk for David Corenswet's burgeoning Supes to contend with! Oppenheimer truly dropped the bomb? Oppenheimer director Christopher Nolan confirmed that the soon-to-be-released film has zero CGI shots. Seems disturbing when you think the movie is about the atomic bomb, but Nolan wants scenes to feel seamless so he used old school movie magic with new technology for IMAX, using forced perspective to film the recreation of the Trinity test, the first-ever test explosion of a nuclear bomb in 1945. It's time to suit up, bub. Deadpool 3 actor, writer, and producer Ryan Reynolds broke the internet on Monday revealing a first look of Hugh Jackman's yellow, comics-accurate Wolverine suit on the set of the upcoming movie. The yellow Wolverine suit has been referred to and joked about for years in other X-Men-related movies, but it seems it will finally be donned by Wolvie himself. And in more Deadpool 3 news, Jennifer Garner is set to return to her role of Elektra after nearly 20 years. Trailer Park! Ahsoka Star Wars released a two-minute trailer for Ahsoka the Disney+ show starring Rosario Dawson that drops next month. It will start with a two episode premiere which is becoming a trend for Star Wars, with mostly positive reaction from fans. Blue Beetle DC dropped its final trailer for Blue Beetle, releasing in theaters on August 18. The trailer shows an extended look at the Scarab AI that selects Jaime Reyes as its host and shows us more of the film's villain. Bob Marley: One Love Secret Invasion star Kingsley Ben-Adir who plays Gravick will play Reggae icon Bob Marley in the biopic, One Love, coming to theaters on January 12, 2024. Napoleon The first trailer for Ridley Scott's next epic war film, Napoleon, has debuted. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix and Vanessa Kirby and has a theatrical release date of November 22. The Nun The ninth film in The Conjuring franchise, The Nun 2, has a new trailer to horrify audiences. The film is set to premiere on September 8. Bestselling graphic novel and webcomic creator Nathan Pyle will see his creations come to life on AppleTV+ with the debut of Strange Planet in August. Rick and Morty and Community co-creator Dan Harmon serves as executive producer for the 10 episode adult animated series. Shang-Chi star Simu Liu confirmed on Meta's new Twitter competitor Threads that the highly-anticipated sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings has been delayed saying, “Was told it would follow Avengers, but that keeps pushing back due to circumstances beyond my control.” It was another disappointing week in the box office, with Insidious the Red Door opening to a $32.7 million dollar domestic box office, taking the top spot away from Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, which only brought in $26.5 million domestically in its second weekend. The faith-based movie about child sex trafficking, The Sound of Freedom, made headlines after earning $40 million in its first week of release and placing 3rd at the domestic box office, despite high profile, big budget competition, and controversy surrounding statements from its lead Jim Caviezel. A deleted scene confirming the High Evoluationary's fate was released, showing that the widely-hated villain is indeed alive if not 100% well. This is a different ending than most of Marvel's villains receive.
My immediate thoughts on Hawkgirl, Mister Terrific and Guy Gardner being cast in Superman: Legacy, and the haunting Hollywood reason it was likely announced on July 11. Kellum gained his first major role in 2012 when he was cast in the FOX comedy Ben and Kate (then titled Ben Fox Is My Manny) playing the role of Tommy, the best friend of the titular character Ben (Nat Faxon).[7] Following Ben and Kate, Kellum was cast as Hunter in NBC's Sean Saves the World starring Sean Hayes and Megan Hilty. In 2015, Kellum was cast in the recurring role of Curtis Holt, based on the DC Comics character Mister Terrific, in the fourth season of The CW drama series Arrow.[8][9] Holt is a technological savant and inventor who initially works at Palmer Technologies under the supervision of Felicity Smoak, and later becomes a member of Team Arrow. Tread Perilously's Women First month continues with an episode of The Golden Girls called "Mister Terrific." After meeting him at the mall, Rose starts dating local afternoon children's show host Mister Terrific. He's not a DC superhero, but he does seem to believe in his television persona to an unsettling degree. When Dorothy laments her summer job prospects, Mister Terrific suggests she try out as his show's educational advisor. Her comments lead to a change in the program's direction and Mister Terrific is swiftly fired. Can Dorothy get him his job back? Will his reality break? Will Rose acknowledge his major problem? Although Justin and Erik love The Golden Girls, the episode leaves a few things to be desired -- even if it is better than its IMDb rating suggests. The New Gods come up thanks to switched wires. The death of Roy Fokker also comes into play for some reason. The pair try to recall what 1980s sitcoms were really like. It eventually leads to some '80s horror movie appreciation. Erik does his very specific Goofy impression. Justin offers some good trivia answers. They also outline the perfect design of the main characters and discuss the reasons a Golden Girls reboot would be nearly impossible today even if it can be easily cast.

Jace and Rocky from Comic Boom! take a close look at the DC Comics titles for the week of August 17, 2021. Jace felt it was a bit of a down week, but Rocky was pretty pleased overall. Superman And The Authority #2 - Manchester Black starts recruiting and this is certainly a version of The Authority we never thought we'd see. Will they be strong enough to do what needs to be done? Writer - Grant Morrison, Artists - Mikel Janin, Fico Ossio, Evan Cagle & Travel Foreman, Color Artists - Jordie Bellaire, Sebastian Cheng, Dave Stewart & Alex Sinclair, Letterer - Steve Wands Shazam #2 - Dane and Billy are in the Underrealm, but getting there is just the beginning of the adventure. How will Billy find the Rock of Eternity and when he does ... then what? Also we learn that Dane is much more than he appears to be. Might he be so powerful because of who is father is and is his father, Neron? WHAT?!?!? Writer - Tim Sheridan, Artist - Clayton Henry, Color Artist - Marcelo Maiolo, Letterer - Rob Leigh Batman Secret Files: Clownhunter #1 - Ed Brisson always grounds his stores no matter how fantastical the character. The same is true here, but neither Jace nor Rocky care much for Clownhunter, so despite a technically well done comic, both guys felt this story fell a little flat. Do you agree? You may have to read for yourself to find out. Writer - Ed Brisson, Artist - Rosi Kampe, Color Artist - Andrew Dalhouse, Letterer - Simon Bowland Batman Catwoman #6 - The triple narrative and speed with which this series is coming out still continue to be a challenge. Jace once again asserts that once the whole series is out and he can read it in once sitting that this story will be pretty damn good. It just isn't there yet. Rocky read it multiple times but still feels compelled to agree. Writer - Tom King, Artist - Clay Mann, Color Artist - Tomeu Morey, Letterer - Clayton Cowles Supergirl Woman of Tomorrow #3 - This story continues to impress narratively, artistically and most of all, emotionally. This issue could stand on it's own as a wonderful story showing how much Kara cares about others. Knowing Tom King the themes and ideas displayed here will resonate throughout the series and especially at the end. Writer - Tom King, Artist - Bilquis Evely, Color Artist - Matheus Lopes, Letterer - Clayton Cowles Superman Red Blue #6 - One of our favorite issues of the anthology so far. Tom King spins a masterful story of how much Superman can mean to us and how in his reflection we all are special. Plus a cool retro story with great art from Matt Wagner and more! Writers - Sophie Campbell, Matt Wagner, Tom King, Darcie Little Badger & Rex Ogle, Artist - Sophie Campbell, Matt Wagner, Paolo Rivera, Steve Pugh & Mike Norton, Color Artist - Brennan Wagner, Letterers - Dave Lanphear, Steve Wands & Pat Brosseau Nightwing #83 - We finally find out what Dick has planned for the fortune left to him by Alfred. Also Dick seems to come to an understanding with his "sister" as she hits at the fact she is actually working from the inside to take down Blockbuster & crew. Jace still isn't convinced she is really the daughter of John Grayson though. Could that just be another part of her 'cover'? Time will tell. Writer - Tom Taylor, Artist - Bruno Redondo, Color Artist - Adriano Lucas, Letterer - Wes Abbott Flash #773 - In Rocky's words we have returned to "normalcy". Wally West is once again the Scarlett Speedster and headlining the Flash title. As he has his first day at the job Mister Terrific set him up with, he relishes in the freedom he has to react to any situations that arise where the Flash is needed, but maybe more importantly he realizes that his experiences as The Flash over the years have given him unique knowledge. Knowledge that can make him a valuable asset to the engineering team his is set up with. Writer - Jeremy Adams, Artist - Will Conrad, Color Artist - Alex Sinclair, Letterer - Steve Wands Catwoman #34 - It's a brief reunion for Selina and Bruce as Batman rescues Catwoman from the aftermath of her fight with Father Valley last issue. Selina is not one to back down though, so she goes toe-to-toe with the assassin once again, but is he perpetually one step ahead of her and if so, how can she win this battle? Writer - Ram V, Artist - Fernando Blanco, Color Artist - Jordie Bellaire, Letterer - Tom Napolitano
Allen, Ski, and Brent recap and review Season 3, Episode 24, "Mister Terrific." Will Rose's new love interest be a hero or a zero? Will Dorothy take the children's entertainment world by storm? Welcome to the place where I get to let my geek flag fly and talk about all things geek. Basically a fuzzy guide to life, the universe, and everything but mostly geek stuff. This is where I look into the world of geekdom and some geek news, comics, The Simpsons, Star Wars, and whatever randomness finds its way onto the recording. A few episodes ago (Level 197), Danny the Deuce and Blue joined me to discuss representation and diversity in superheroes. Well, talking about 21 heroes wasn’t enough so we’re back with 20 more discussing comics as an important medium of representation. We cover a lot of the heroes that matter so much, especially in today’s divided world. Heroes mentioned include Bishop, Isaiah & Elijah Bradley, Heimdall (Idris Elba), Amadeus Cho, Manhattan Guardian, Gangbuster, Jimmy Olson (Supergirl DCW), Blue Beetle (Jaime Reyes), Xorn, The Question (Renee Montoya), Deathlok, Freddy Freeman, Cassandra Cain, Oracle (Barbara Gordon), Silhouette, Misty Knight & Colleen Wing, Captain America Sam Wilson, Mister Terrific, and more! Enter the Diversiverse with us and we hope you enjoy this as much as we did talking about it. Congrats on completing Level 202 of the podcast! Stay safe, wash your hands, and good luck out there. The DC TV Report for the week ending Saturday April 1st 2017, featuring recaps for Supergirl, The Flash, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, Arrow, Powerless, as submitted by Edward O'Hare (nickname To Be Determined): Supergirl: Someone put a contract out on Supergirl and alien bounty hunters started attacking Kara. Turns out Mon-El's mom, Rhea, put out the bounty. After Rhea attacked Kara with a Kryptonite sword, Mon-El agreed to rejoin the fam in exchange for Kara's safety. J'onn warned Kara and the gang not to go after Mon-El because President Marsdin said so. The team said “screw that”, used a Stargate (I mean… teleportal gate thingy) Winn souped up to attempt a rescue mission, and Mon-El's dad, Lar Gand, realized Earth makes Mon-El happy and let him go. Alex and Maggie bumped into one of Maggie's ex-girlfriends and Alex spent the whole episode forcing Maggie to re-open old relationship wounds. By the by, President Marsdin is actually an alien. Last Minute Reveal: Rhea stabbed Lar Gand in the heart and she is not done with planet Earth! The Flash: Abra Kadabra was running around Central City stealing from tech companies. Gypsy came hungry to take down Magic Boy for killing her former partner. After being captured, Abra Kadabra offered info on how to defeat Savitar in exchange for freedom. Caitlin took some shrapnel to the stomach, and rather than using her Frost powers to heal, she stayed awake and talked Julian through surgery removing the shrapnel. Barry decided to let Gypsy take Ab Kabs away instead of getting the dish on Savitar. Cisco and Gypsy are not so hot an item anymore. HR was away with a new girlfriend all episode. Barry thinks he can learn how to beat Savitar by running to the future. Last Minute Reveal: Caitlin went into cardiac arrest and died! Julian removed her anti-meta necklace and she woke up, but now she's gone full Killer Frost! DC's Legends of Tomorrow: It's Doomworld! The Legion of Doom controlled the world and all the Legends were scattered around with their minds wiped, working crummy jobs. Heat Wave was bored of constantly winning, saved Steel from getting killed for figuring out the truth, and used a multiplexer gun the Atom invented to restore all the Legends memories except for Dr. Stein. The Reverse Flash made Dr. Stein create a generator that could destroy the Spear of Destiny. The Legends and the other LoD members all tried to stop Reverse Flash from destroying the Spear but ultimately failed. The Legends now want to try a do-over in World War I. Rip was drunk, baking cakes on the Waverider until Gideon helped him figure out a way to send a distress signal. Last Minute Reveal: The Waverider is a small model ship on Reverse Flash's desk in STAR Labs! Arrow: Five years ago, Anatoli convinced Oliver to pull a heist for pharmaceuticals to help a hospital before he left Russia for good. In the present, Ollie packed up HQ, told the team to get out, and hired Anatoli and the Bratva to kill Adrian Chase. Diggle wasn't having any of it, kept the team together, and slowly wore down Oliver until he decided to take up the good fight again. Ollie led the team on a mission to stop the Bratva from stealing drugs and Anatoli felt betrayed. Felicity continued working with Helix, and with a huge assist from Mister Terrific, she was able to decrypt video proof Adrian Chase is Prometheus. Last Minute Reveal: Chase killed the Feds protecting him, stole their car and drove right past the SCPD squad cars coming to arrest him! Powerless: Crimson Fox announced that she was leaving Charm City and taking her talents to Metropolis (adjacent). Emily signed herself and Jackie up for a self-defense class. Jackie blew off the class because she was driving for Uber to get some extra cash to pay for her daughter's school trip, which Emily found out was bogus when she tried to give money to the teacher. Jackie was furious, but after Jack O'Lantern destroyed her car, she admitted that she's taking MBA classes and would still be Emily's friend as long as she turns the volume down on her excitement. Van interrogated everyone trying to figure out who used his private bathroom and left a magazine behind. Turns out no one used the bathroom. Jackie used the magazine to swat a bee that caused Van to squeal and hide. Last Minute Reveal: There was hours of footage showing everyone at the office using Van's bathroom but Peter the janitor deleted it all because Van kept calling him Pedro!
Today's Guest: Eric Wallace, "Eureka," executive story editor,Mister Terrific, comic book writer Writer Eric Wallace talks about Syfy's 'Eureka! (1 of 2) Order 'Eureka: Season 4.5,' available from Amazon.com by clicking on the DVD cover above! Mr. Media is recorded live before a studio audience that exists in a timeline that closely parallels your own… in the new new media capital of the world, St. Petersburg, Florida! I would have written this introduction hours ago and had plenty of time to polish it, except – as usual – my wife and daughter insisted I drop everything and watch the latest episode of the Syfy original series “Eureka.” Not that it’s ever a tough sell with me – “Eureka” is, after all one of the smartest and most entertaining shows on TV. I know this cable sweet spot doesn’t attract the word of mouth of shows on the networks or on HBO, but trust me, it’s worth your time. On previous shows, I’ve had the pleasure of chatting with several stars of “Eureka,” including Colin Ferguson, Niall Matter and Neil Grayston. But today us fans of the show get an extra dimension: a behind-the-scenes peek with writer and executive story editor Eric Wallace. The Cast of the Syfy original series 'Eureka' ERIC WALLACE audio excerpt: "We made a bold choice to revamp things. We like what we're doing, we feel strongly about it -- let's stick with it. This is the real universe. We're staying here and not going back. We thought the best way to do it was just not to comment. Syfy said, 'Go for it and don't ever go back.'" DC Comics' Mister Terrific #1, written by Eric Wallace Wallace joined the show in season one as an assistant before joining the writing stuff full time. Now he’s one of the most visible faces of the show’s writing room and his work is featured on the August 8 episode. And when he’s not writing for “Eureka,” Wallace has a second gig as a comic book writer. He’s behind “Mister Terrific,” one of the titles DC Comics is launching as a first issue this fall (Sept. 14). The song's title happens to fit this episode's theme. Stardust - Stardust, the name of the drug in this week's episode, has some special resonance for guest star Cody Runnels, also known as Cody Rhodes, the WWE Superstar formerly known as Stardust. Cody Runnels - He's Runnels here, not Rhodes, in the opening credits. That's likely because he doesn't actually own the trademark to "Cody Rhodes," his stage name with the WWE. Since Rhodes's father was Dusty Rhodes, he and his brother took on the family name when they came into professional wrestling. Now that he's no longer a member of the WWE family, he might not have easy access to his actual family's stage name. John Jr, - This is the first on-camera reference to John Diggle, Jr. in Arrow. Last week on The Flash, fans learned that John Diggle, friend and former bodyguard to Oliver Queen, has a son -- and that was a surprise. That's right: Barry Allen's excellent "Flashpoint" adventure through time created the unintended consequence of giving John Diggle a son -- John Diggle, Jr. -- rather than the daughter -- Sara Diggle -- fans got to know after she was born in season 3 of the hit CW drama. Deadshot - Deadshot, a member of the Suicide Squad and the deadly assassin long thought to have murdered John Diggle's brother, showed up in a vision to Dig this week, haunting him for killing Andy himself last season. Susan Williams - Susan Williams is, in the comics, the sister-in-law of Hal Jordan, one of Earth's Green Lanterns. Created by John Broome and Gil Kane in the early days of the Silver Age Green Lantern titles, Susan was a bit of a rabble-rouser then, too; she ended up in a relationship with one of the Jordan brothers while digging around into who Green Lantern was. Falling into a vat of chemicals is similar to the origin of the Joker Adrian Chase - Adrian Chase is introduced this week. The hot-headed, good-looking district attorney is actually better known as Vigilante in the comics.Created during Marv Wolfman's time on the New Teen Titans, Vigilante in the comics is a former New York district attorney who's set on the path of justice after his family is killed by the mob. The CW describes him similarly: Chase is "Star City's new district attorney and an ally of Mayor Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who aims to clean up the streets through the legal system." “You have failed this city” make an appearance - like season 1 Lethal Weapon - Stardust burns his arm Terry Sloane - This week, we finally got to see Curtis suit up, going into the field in his Mister Terrific costume for the first time. He hasn't yet identified himself using the "Mister Terrific" name, although he did namecheck Terry Sloane -- the Golden Age Mr. Terrific from the comics -- as his inspiration (and the inspiration for the "Fair Play" jacket he wears). Trope of cool guy walking toward camera with explosion in background Oliver thinking Wild Dog's hockey mask is “cool” is likely a reference to Amell's role of Casey Jones in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.' Curtis calls it the “Arrowcave” ARROW NEWS: Arrowverse Crossover is ‘very, very faithful' to DC's Invasion! (Date: 14 Oct 2016) Marc Guggenheim promises that the crossover will be faithful to the story in the comics. In the comics, the Dominators assemble a coalition of extraterrestrial races to invade Earth, with the goal of eliminating the threat posed by metahumans. Unknown to their allies, the Dominators intend to harness the metagene and create their own army of metahumans. Guggenheim says that the crossover will be “just big, bombastic, huge action.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrowverse-crossover-is-very-very-faithful-to-dcs-invasion/ Who are the Dominators? The Arrowverse crossover villains explained (Date: 15 Oct 2016) This article is a good look at the villains of the upcoming crossover between “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow.” and “Supergirl.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/who-are-the-dominators-arrowverses-crossover-villains-explained/ Arrow's ‘Human Target' synopsis calls in Christopher Chance (Date: 15 Oct 2016) The November 2nd episode is titled “Human Target.” In this episode, Oliver will call an old friend for help. Wil Traval (Jessica Jones) will play Christopher Chance, aka the Human Target, a private investigator and bodyguard who assumes the identities of clients mark for assassination. This is not the Human Target's first TV appearance. Rick Springfield starred as Christopher Chance on a short-lived drama that aired in 1992 on ABC, and FOX aired its adaptation in 2011, which starred Mark Valley (John Scott on Fringe). Diggle's storyline will carry into episode 12, so it will be a major part of the season. Link:http://www.ew.com/article/2016/10/18/arrow-diggle-arrested-spoilers?xid=entertainment-weekly_socialflow_twitter Guggenheim reveals Captain Cold's ‘Legends' return, talks ‘Arrow's' 100th episode (Date: 18 Oct 2016) Marc Guggenheim discusses Captain Cold's return to ‘Legends,' which will be in that show's midseason finale, episode 208, but how he returns hasn't been revealed. Also, Cold will be part of the Legion of Doom. The 100th episode of ‘Arrow' promises to be big with appearances by John Barrowman as Merlin and Neal McDonough as Damian Darhk; the 100th episode will also be part of the big crossover, but Guggenheim says that the 100th will be ‘Arrow'-centric. Caitlin will seek out her mother's help as she continues to transform into Killer Frost. It also covers why the writers have backed off from the Jimmy/Kara romance, how Kara's new boss, Snapper Carr is different from Cat, and the tension between Mon-El and Kara. Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-ep-on-whether-cat-grant-knows-karas-secret-identity/ Chris Mirror Master debuts in new Flash promo (Date: 19 Oct 2016) The Rogues are back for next week's episode of “The Flash” — or the “New Rogues,” — as the episode is titled. “Star Crossed” actor Grey Damon makes his DC Comics debut as the infamous Mirror Master. The Top, played by Ashley Rickards, will also be appearing, alongside the very familiar, very missed face of Captain Cold. When Mirror Master and The Top go looking for Cold, they'll run into a little trouble with The Flash and his new speedster-in-training, Jesse Quick. Link:http://www.cbr.com/mirror-master-debuts-in-new-flash-promo/ Chris How Supergirl gets into the Crossover (Date: 20 Oct 2016) The 100th episode will, in fact, be part 3 of that crossover, and executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to Collider on how Supergirl is fitting in with the Arrowverse. "Last year, Supergirl established that The Flash was able to make his way to what I call Earth-CBS, and it stands to reason that with the proper breach technology, the reverse can happen. Once the heroes realize that they're up against aliens, they decide that they need an alien on their side and, fortunately, Barry knows a really nice one. I don't think it's a big shock that, between Barry and Cisco, and all of their experiences with Earth-2 and the multi-verse, that they can pluck her from Earth-CBS." (Date: 20 Oct 2016) Hamill was spotted on the set of The Flashl ooking decidedly Joker-esque. Considering that Flash is currently exploring an alternate timeline in its "Flashpoint" season, it's possible this is a Joker inspired alternate version of the Trickster. Or maybe, just maybe, many fans will get their wish and finally see Hamill take the role of the Clown Prince of Crime into live action. THE JLA/JSA CROSSOVER AWESOME SAUCE CONTINUES THIS WEEK! Scott and Mike are back again, fresh from their escape... I mean release... yes... release from that loony bin... I mean mental health facility... yes... mental health facility... and there was no escape at all. Mike and Scott didn't stick the pills they were given to take under their tongues and empty the contents into a napkin and then drug the night attendant and then rip the water fountain out of the floor, throw it through the window, and flee into the night. None of that happened and if anyone asks you about it you don't know anything, all right? All right. Um, anyway... this week, the guys continue their look at the Justice League of America /Justice Society of America crossovers that took place after ALL-STAR COMICS #58 with two stories -- one that involves time travel and another that involves the Justice Society being real douche bags to a fellow hero!! In JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #s 159 and 160, heroes from the past (including one of Scott's all time favorites, Jonah Hex!!) are used by the Lord of Time to mess with the JLA/JSA. There's a lot of wonky in this story, and Scott has far more to say about it than Mike, but what's new, right? RIGHT? :taps microphone: Is this thing on? Then, in JUSTICE LEAGUE OF AMERICA #s 171 and 172, the teams get together and, as per usual, someone dies!! For once, it's NOT one the "escorts" that Batman brings around and that tend to end up crushed and mangled after Superman gets into the Captain Morgan. This time, it's... well, I'd say it was a member of the JSA, but Mister Terrific, as Hawkman is so quick to point out after Terrific assumes room temperature, wasn't "really" a part of their little clique now, was he? This is an old-fashioned, closed-door murder mystery with Batman and the Huntress trying to figure out who did the deed, leaving Scott and Mike to try to figure out why the Justice Society were being such utter dicks to a fellow super-hero. Seriously!! They cut this guy ZERO freaking slack and then, after he dies, they act like it's no big deal!! Frankly, the guys are surprised that they put any effort into solving the murder at all!! Lastly, be sure to join Scott and Mike next week as they look at the final two JLA/JSA crossovers that occur "before" ALL-STAR SQUADRON!! One involves Darkseid, the other involves the Secret Society of Super-Villains!! Be there (or Mike and Scott will short-sheet ya)!!
