I'm taking a detour from my regular rhythm on the podcast this week to share some of my thoughts on the current state of the US and the fascist regime change underway, orchestrated with maximum chaos, brutality, corruption, and incompetency. Here I'm reading from three essays I've previously posted online where I'm applying my background as a professor of Religious Studies. The first, "What is a Cult?" comes from Jan, 2021. The next, "A Brief Guide to the 'Spiritual' Forces at Play in Trumpism," was from Nov, 2024, and the final, "On the Apotheosis of Loyalty as the Ultimate Virtue in the Trump Cult Kakistocracy" is also from Nov, 2024.

In this prize-winning essay for the 2021 Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies essay contest, Dr. Ruickbie examines the evidence for the survival of consciousness after death (“life after death”). Initially skeptical, he found that there was sufficient evidence from a wide variety of sources, including apparitions, reincarnation, near-death experiences, after-death communication, and premonitions, that met the contest's criteria of being “beyond reasonable doubt.”Such claims are often dismissed as contravening the laws of physics; however, Ruickbie takes the ground-breaking approach of organizing the evidence as eye-witness testimony to the "block" universe (in which past, present and future exist at the same time) described by Albert Einstein and Hermann Minkowski; and finds further support in the latest theories and findings of Quantum Physics for what Ruickbie calls “timetanglement” and “cloud consciousness.” Using a novel framework inspired by Charles Dickens, this is a readable and convincing account of a complex and highly debated subject.BioDr Leo Ruickbie, FRHistS, FRAI, ARPS, PhD (Lond), MA, BA (Hons), ACIQ, Associate of King's College London, is a Visiting Fellow in Psychology at the University of Northampton, where he is a member of the Exceptional Experiences and Consciousness Studies research group.Described as a ‘leading historian and sociologist of the paranormal' by the Daily Express newspaper (print) and ‘a leading expert on the paranormal‘ (express.co.uk online), Dr Ruickbie specialises in controversial areas of human belief and experience, sometimes called ‘exceptional human experiences'. A phrase coined by Rhea White in 1990, exceptional human experience is ‘an umbrella term for many types of experience generally considered to be psychic, mystical, encounter-type experiences, death-related experiences, and experiences at the upper end of the normal range, such as creative inspiration, exceptional human performance' (White, 1994:5).Dr Ruickbie is closely involved in the work of the Society for Psychical Research as a member of Council, former Editor of its Magazine and a member of its Spontaneous Cases Committee. Established in 1882, the Society for Psychical Research is the world's largest, oldest and most reputable organisation for the scientific study of what we now call ‘the paranormal'.He is also a Professional Member of the Parapsychological Association. Established in 1957, the Parapsychological Association is affiliated to the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In recognition of his contribution to scholarship sustained over the course of his career, Dr Ruickbie has been elected a Fellow of both the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Anthropological Institute.Dr Ruickbie's PhD is from King's College, London, for his thesis on contemporary witchcraft and magic use, building on research that won him an MA with distinction from Lancaster University.  How America Works…and Why It Doesn't: A Brief Guide to the US Political System by William Cooper. Cooper validates something we've all been feeling lately: that twenty-first-century America isn't working the way it's supposed to. He sets out to provide a non-partisan assessment of the ongoing challenges faced by American democracy, explaining key aspects of US political history to give the background to recent, dangerous developments. Cooper also shows how these recent developments have their roots in the deeper past, with the establishment of the political system in the first place and all the knocks and tweaks to it along the way. And he reveals how the US Supreme Court is now exacerbating polarization instead of acting as an effective check on executive power.                                          WILLIAM COOPER is an attorney, author, and national columnist. His writings have appeared in hundreds of publications including the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Newsweek, CNN, Washington Post, and San Francisco Chronicle. He lives in Northern California. Here's what people are saying about his book:

What do professional ‘futurists' think about global disorder? With our current world seemingly in never ending Disorder that won't be immediately cured by the election results, it can be hard to put your head above the parapet and try to see into the future. Furthermore, given the rapidly changing pace of technology, the 2050s, 2070s, and 2100s feel a long way out. Is it worth trying to forecast and plan for the future? If countries started planning now, could we see an Ordered future?     In this episode of Disorder, Jason opens with his feelings about election day and then hands over to Jane Kinninmont to host Cat Tully, who works with governments, civil society and young leaders around the world to facilitate structured conversations about what the future could and should look like. She is the founder of the School of International Futures, and has previously served in the UK government, working on strategy in the prime minister's office and the Foreign Office.     Jane and Cat delve into the complexities of forecasting the future, discussing the importance of collective foresight in navigating global disorder. They discuss what was and wasn't achieved by the recent UN Summit For The Future, the role of strategic foresight in preparing for potential shocks, and how people around the world are working to push governments beyond short-term populist priories. Finally, they Order the Disorder by talking about the importance of youth engagement, and using futures and foresight methodologies to build a better future rather than viewing the future through the lens of panic and polycrisis.    Producer: George McDonagh  Exec Producer: Neil Fearn    Subscribe to our Substack: https://natoandtheged.substack.com/  And Pray that the Disorderer-and-Chief doesn't win    Show Notes Links    The School of International Futures' Implementation Handbook for the wellbeing of future generations: https://soif.org.uk/implementation-handbook/    UK Government's brief guide to futures thinking and foresight: https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/media/635931b18fa8f557d066c1b1/A_Brief_Guide_to_Futures_Thinking_and_Foresight_-_2022.pdf    A great book by Jane McGonagal on training your imagination to think about the future: https://janemcgonigal.com/2021/12/17/imaginable-how-to-see-the-future-coming-and-feel-ready-for-anything-even-things-that-seem-impossible-today/  Learn more about your ad choices. Today we will delve into the complex and often incongruent ways the United States works and why it doesn't. To what degree do we know how the country is supposed to work as voters and nonvoters in the upcoming US presidential election? What makes us care and not? William Cooper offers rich insight into the key drivers and less-examined ways of how the political landscape in the US has been shaped. His 2024 book, How America Works...and Why It Doesn't: A Brief Guide to the US Political System is an opportunity to make sense of the American political landscape. He will share historical implications of what we experience today, and which Constitutional provisions have guided the country in the best and worst ways. William Cooper's work addresses what guides our political system alongside the embedded traditional central to America's story. We will discern recent developments, that have led to and created a tumultuous political environment, ahead of the 2024 election, including the shifting role and influence of the Supreme Court. We will speak in-depth about the threat of extreme polarization, what this means for us right now, and what we might expect going forward. Tune in to gain more insight into the political workings of the American Experiment and what this means for you as we near Election Day 2024.

Twenty-first-century America isn't working the way it's supposed to. William Cooper's How America Works and Why It Doesn't: A Brief Guide to the Us Political System (Ad Lib, 2024) explains why. Americans in the twenty-first century are becoming increasingly untethered from both reality and the essential principles and traditions that have shaped the nation's historic success. A big part of why America isn't working is because far too many Americans neither know nor care how it's supposed to work. Cooper explains key aspects of recent US political history to give the background to dangerous developments, including how political groups have reshaped since the 1964 Civil Rights Act; the rise of Newt Gingrich and the Tea Party; the profound impact of the internet and social media; and the threats posed to the electoral system by the growth of extreme polarization and growing irrationality. Cooper shows how these recent developments have their roots in the deeper past, with the establishment of the political system in the first place and all the knocks and tweaks to it along the way. He also reveals how, as a result of increasing politicization, the US Supreme Court is now exacerbating polarization instead of acting as an effective check on executive power. If you're a Christian, like me, then you believe that the view of the world and life presented by the Bible is the true one. The most basic, most fundamental teaching of the Bible is that God is there. The Triune God of Scripture lives. God Himself is the ultimate explanation for why there is stuff like logic, morality, human dignity, the laws of physics and science, etc. You take Him out, and you lose all those things. Sure, adherents of non-Christian worldviews want to lay claim to all that stuff, but they don't have a leg to stand on. Their worldviews don't provide them an adequate basis to account for—to explain—all that “stuff!” So they must steal from our worldview. That's what we're talking about today. Welcome to The Nonlinear Library, where we use Text-to-Speech software to convert the best writing from the Rationalist and EA communities into audio. This is: PAs in EA: A Brief Guide & FAQ, published by Vaidehi Agarwalla on October 25, 2022 on The Effective Altruism Forum. This guide was produced by Pineapple Operations; Holly Morgan is the primary author, with support from Jennifer Waldmann and Vaidehi Agarwalla (all mistakes are Holly's own). 1. What is a Personal Assistant? What is an Executive Assistant? Personal Assistants (PA) tend to be hired remotely on a self-employed basis for ~5-10 hours a week per client. Support is generally focused on saving time in someone's private life and is primarily administrative. Executive Assistants (ExA) tend to be full-time, on-site employees. Support is usually focused on saving and managing time in someone's professional life and is often a mix of administrative, motivational, and generalist. For simplicity, we'll refer to both as PAs for the rest of this post. 2. What typical tasks might a PA do? Admin and research Travel logistics Research and summarise/book top options for flights and accommodation Look into the latest rules around visas, coronavirus, etc. Procurement Research and summarise/buy top options for a particular product or service E.g. laptop, eye mask, credit card, gift, hairdresser, therapist, apartment Desk research Write/find digestible summaries of specific articles, papers, books, etc. Answer questions, e.g. “Are any organisations working on X?”, “What's the best productivity solution for Y?” Household management In-person errands, e.g. receive/return packages, process mail, duplicate keys Find and manage household workers, e.g. cleaners, childcare, electricians Motivation and focus Check-ins Regularly run through a tailored list of questions, e.g. “What are your most important tasks this week that you're worried you won't do?”, “Can we think of any motivational hacks now to increase the chance that you'll do them?”, “What steps will you take this month towards becoming your best self?” Check that the person has started work, spent 1 hour on top-priority tasks, done 7 hours' work today, etc. or just literally stand behind them like a patient teacher while they write that aversive email Proactively address current/anticipated issues with workflows and prioritisation processes based on a deepening familiarity with those systems and the goals behind them Disruptive and 'ugh' tasks Do tasks that must be done frequently or at a specific time and so would otherwise disrupt the person's schedule/focus, e.g. regularly check incoming messages for anything sufficiently urgent and important, take notes in meetings, try to get hold of a company that rarely picks up, buy tickets as soon as they go on sale Do/start tasks that the person finds particularly aversive, e.g. draft emails, book medical appointments Inbox, calendar, and task management Provide daily summaries of what today's priorities seem to be (and stay on top of deadlines) Triage incoming emails and politely decline requests as appropriate Schedule meetings (with more privacy/professionalism/gatekeeping/nuance than an app) Deliver briefings before meetings and conferences Manage tasks as they're thought of, allowing the person to quickly regain focus on their work Listen to the person's problems without judgement :-) Generalist and miscellaneous Generalist Drawing on the Assistant's generalist skill set, ad hoc tasks that there are no dedicated staff for (yet) Can involve generally being another pair of eyes (proofreading, being a sounding board, rubber ducking, user testing, etc.) or potentially management in specific areas (social media, recruitment, office, events, etc.) Miscellaneous This is an opportunity to add a complementary set of skills and attributes to someone's working life So if someone is disorganised, reckless, pessimistic, etc., they could work with an assistant who's the opposite 3. Targets of bullying are often the most vulnerable members of the scientific workforce-they may be low-paid graduate students or postdocs, living in a foreign country, navigating a foreign language and culture, and whose immigration status is tied directly to their employment. They may also have young families, be living paycheck-to-paycheck, and have health insurance and other benefits that depend on a contract position that can be revoked with little to no notice or cause. Finally, targets on the low end of a power differential are not likely to be supported by their institutions, particularly institutions that rely on the big grant earnings brought in by senior "bullies." A Brief Guide to Academic Bullying (Jenny Stanford Publishing, 2021) is a brief guide to the causes of academic bullying and to their solutions. We conclude the episode with the Kabbalistic vocalization meditation of Rabbi Avraham Abulafia. (48:32) If you wish to just listen to the meditation - There's a guide below.   Rabbi Meir Sendor, Ph.D., serves as the facilitator for Tal Orot. After serving as the rabbinic leader of the Young Israel of Sharon for thirty-two years, Rabbi Sendor and his wife Anne moved to Tzfat, Israel in the summer of 2016. With rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University and a doctorate from Harvard University in medieval Jewish history, with special expertise in the history of Kabbalah and Jewish philosophy, Rabbi Sendor teaches a wide range of subjects, from kabbalah, philosophy and hasidism to talmudic and biblical commentary, halakhah and ethics. He uses his three decades of experience teaching Torah and meditation in the Sharon and the Greater Boston area to implement this program in Israel.   A Brief Guide to the Basic Vocalization Meditation of Rabbi Avraham Abulafia The most basic, essential skills in meditation practice are learning to quiet the mind, stabilize attention and expand awareness. Some people find direct methods for quieting the flow of verbal mental chatter to be difficult at first. In some cases, an indirect approach can be helpful, such as the following basic vocalization method of the thirteenth century kabbalist Rabbi Avraham Abulafia. On the whole, Rabbi Abulafia's meditation techniques are highly rigorous and complex. His advanced techniques involve meditations on the divine Names, requiring great purity and sanctity of mind and body. But the basic method that he describes in his manual Or HaSekhel (pp. 101-05) is accessible for everyone. As he states it, “when your mind comes to adhere to His mind that grants you mind, your mind needs to remove from itself the yoke of all alien thoughts, except for His mind that is shared between you and Him by virtue of His glorious and awesome Name.” To attain this stable awareness, the following meditation can be helpful. This is a summary of his instructions. As general preparation, sit in a quiet and comfortable location, with your back straight, feet on the floor, hands resting on your legs. If you are sitting on the floor, let it be in a way that your back is nice and straight. Sit quietly with your eyes closed for a few minutes, clearing your mind as well as you can. This is a vocalization meditation, in which we will be expressing the five essential vowels of Hebrew in connection with the letter Aleph, which has no sound itself. Hebrew has nine vowels, but Rabbi Abulafia notes, and the linguists agree, that there are five essential vowels. We will express them in the following order: Cholem= oh; Kamatz= ah; Tzeirei= ai; Chirik= ee; Shuruk= oo. We take a natural, deep breath, our head in normal position facing straight ahead. Beginning with the Cholem, we express the vowel on the exhale, letting the sound ride on our breath at a comfortable volume, out to the very end of the breath. While expressing the Cholem we raise our head slowly and gently upwards (the Cholem vowel is written above the letter). Then we inhale once, through the nose (to avoid hyperventilation), as our head slowly returns to normal position. Then we express the Cholem again on the exhale, out to the end of the breath, lifting our head gently upwards. Inhale again through the nose as the head returns to normal position. We repeat the Cholem five times total, inhaling through the nose after each exhale. Next we express the Kamatz in the same way, five times, out to the end of the breath, this time slowly and gently moving the head horizontally from right to left over the course of the exhale (this vowel is written horizontally), then back to the right on the inhale. Next we express the Tzeirei in the same way, five times, out to the end of the breath, this time moving the head from left to right on the exhale (this vowel is also written horizontally), then back to the left on the inhale. Next we express the Chirik in the same way, five times, out the end of the breath, this time moving the head from normal position down towards the chest on the exhale (this vowel is written as a dot under the letter), then back up to normal position on the inhale. Finally, we express the Shuruk on the exhale, five times, out to the end of the breath, this time moving the head from normal position very slightly forward on the exhale (this vowel is written in the middle of the letter), and returning to normal position on the inhale. After the last expression of Shuruk we sit quietly for several minutes. We have provided a recording of this meditation which you can use to follow along for the first few times, to get a feel for the sound and the pacing. A chime sounds at the beginning, to introduce a minute of silence before the vocalization series, and a chime sounds at the end, after a few minutes of silence. Throughout the meditation, you can be aware of the vibrations that each vocalization stimulates. After the vocalizations, you may find that it is relatively easy to maintain a quiet, open, attentive and stable awareness. Rabbi Abulafia goes on to expand this meditation to include letters and vowels of the divine Name, but that's for advanced meditators in a high state of purity. Even this basic form of the meditation, however, can be helpful towards connecting our mind with HaShem, Who grants us mind, with HaShem's help. Rabbi Meir Sendor, Tal Orot

EXCUSE OUR  AUDIO ERROR. WE JUST UPDATED THE EPISODE. It may take time for it to update on all platforms.Minstrelsy was an American theatrical genre present from the end of the Civil War to the early parts of the 1900s that placed white performers in the comedic enactment of racial stereotypes about Black people. Today, people are so turned off by Blackface that they're not willing to delve into the reason why it is considered offensive in the first place... and we haven't learned from our past. Blackface isn't dead. In this episode, we discuss the perceptions of Black people in the media; how we have discussions about challenging historical practices (that still persist today); and Spike Lee's movie Bamboozled.WE COULD NOT COVER EVERYTHING in this episode. There was no way. We didn't have enough time to talk about images, photographs, and so many other stories… like the recent renaming of the Aunt Jemima pancake mix. The Aunt Jemima pancake mix was named after "Old Aunt Jemima," an 1875 song from a minstrel show that featured performers in blackface who wore aprons and bandana headbands. Read about Aunt Jemima's name change here.Though some might find this topic  "challenging" or "uncomfortable", living with racial stereotypes is also challenging and uncomfortable. This is a conversation worth having. We recommend that parents consider that younger children (0-7) may not be able to understand some of the themes discussed in this episode.  It is however important that if kids are online they are often exposed to racist content and concepts and that should always be discussed.Resources for learning more about the American tradition of Blackface:Are your kids ready to watch? A mission statement, by definition, is a formal summary of your nonprofit's goals, objectives, and values. But this bland definition doesn't begin to describe the depth of your nonprofit's mission or even the importance of creating a mission statement that compels supporters to take action. As a leader of a nonprofit, your mission isn't just about being a responsible person who contributes to society and has values. Your mission is a sacrifice. Unfortunately, I've seen a number of problems creep up in regard to creating a mission statement for nonprofits. I've witnessed extraordinary nonprofits struggle because… The organization hasn't settled on a mission statement, then the task of developing one gets pushed aside due to other needs. The organization has created a mission statement, but it's not a true reflection of whom or how they help. The organization's mission statement is more about them rather than whom or how they are helping. Oftentimes mission statements are crafted and then set aside, as if they are simply a box to check off when starting a nonprofit. But I want to challenge nonprofits to leverage their mission statements into powerful calls to action so that the result is more than a slogan or one-page document no one ends up reading. We want your mission statement to be visible within your organization and to the public. We're going to get your mission statement working for you. After all, you deserve a statement that packs a punch because there is a lot at stake! October 8, 2019 by Selah Hirsch

This Episode Sabal Trail Resistance This week we're sharing a conversation we had with Karrie and Niko, two folks involved in the initiative called Sabal Trail Resistance.  The immediate goal of Sabal Trail Resistance is to block the Sabal Trail Pipeline, actually a series of 3 pipelines meant to run through Georgia, Alabama and Florida, carrying pressurized natural gas.  We spend about a half an hour of this episode chatting about the route, who'll be effected, the companies behind the pipeline, environmental racism, decolonization and other related topics.  Coming up, they plan a weekend of action February 23-27, including an action against prisons and in solidarity with longterm Indigenous political prisoner, Leonard Peltier. More on their project can be found at https://sabaltrailresistance.wordpress.com and http://stopsabaltrail.com AntiPolitika After that, we're spreading a 10 minute interview between comrades at FrequenzA out of Hamburg, Germany, published in English at the end of January.  From https://frequenza.noblogs.org: “The interview is about the first issue of ‘antipolitika', released in summer 2016 with the topic antimilitarism. The anarchist newspaper consists of statements and articles from ex-yugoslavia and greece and is dedicated towards a broader public.” Updates on Sean Swain Before these words from anarchist prisoner Sean Swain, we have a quick update on his dietary situation.  We've just gotten word that Sean resumed eating on his 50th day of hunger strike.  He is still not being given a halal diet in line with his practice of Islam, and neither are other Muslim prisoners in Ohio, but he's said that the administration is considering the move.  He's achieved the other demands that he was hungerstriking for.  If you'd like to see Sean and other adherents to Islam in Ohio prisons during this age of increasing Islamophobia be able to at least eat according to their faith's dietary practices, give a call to Ohio Governor, John “JWow” Kasich.  You can call JWow at 614 466 3555, that's The Honorable Governor of Ohio, John Kasich at 614 466 3555.  You can also write to him via Governor Kasich 77 South High Street Columbus, OH 43215-6117 And request that Sean Swain, prisoner #243-205 who's being held at Warren Correctional, be allowed to eat according to his faith. And, now, a word from Anarchist Prisoner Sean Swain Announcements Reporting ICE Raids on Social Media As many of yall are aware, there has been a lot of concern and fear regarding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (or ICE) checkpoints recently. Given the rising tide of overt xenophobia and racism in this country, these concerns are valid, and there has been a lot in the way of confirmed raids and detentions by ICE. However, the use of social media in these situations is something that can both help and hurt the situation, both being an effective way to broadly communicate an issue and a platform for a whole lot of unsubstantiated claims and rumors. In an effort to battle this aspect of social media use, I'd like to plug a resource that DRUM put out some time ago. DRUM stands for Desis Rising Up and Moving, and they are a NYC based group which "is a multigenerational, membership led organization of low-wage South Asian immigrant workers and youth in New York City. Founded in 2000, DRUM has mobilized and built the leadership of thousands of low-income, South Asian immigrants to lead social and policy change that impacts their own lives- from immigrant rights to education reform, civil rights, and worker's justice.  Our membership of over 2,400 adults, youth, and families is multigenerational and represents the diaspora of the South Asian community – Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Guyana, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Trinidad." They have put out a very useful resource entitiled "A Brief Guide for Reporting Raids on Social Media", which we will link to directly in our blog. Basically it cautions against the spreading of unsubstantiated information and provides a step by step guide for what to do if you witness something: http://www.drumnyc.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/02/ABriefGuideforReportingRaidsonSocialMedia.docx.pdf To see more about DRUM you can visit http://www.drumnyc.org/ Support Krow From our comrades at http://supportkrow.org: On February 4, while supporting the No DAPL struggle, Krow (Katie Kloth) was assaulted and arrested by a Bureau of Indian Affairs officer (there is video of the incident below). She was walking on a public road, away from the Sacred Stone camp, when she was chased down by the officer. It is believed that she was specifically targeted because of her ongoing involvement and visibility within the No DAPL resistance, which had resulted in two arrests on misdemeanor charges previous to this incident. Krow was also known at Standing Rock for being an advocate for creating a unified front in fighting the pipeline. Krow has been charged with violation of felony probation and is being held at Morton County Correctional Center. The probation is from previous charges in Wisconsin stemming from an environmental protest against mining in the Penokee Hills in 2013, for which she served nine months in jail. After a recent bail reduction hearing, Krow was assigned a cash-only bail of $100,000. The stipulations of the judge require that the bail be paid in full. Even if the full bail is paid, it is likely that Morton County would refuse to release Krow. We are currently working with lawyers and legal teams in North Dakota and Wisconsin to figure this out. Donations to support Krow will go towards paying lawyers, commissary, postage, travel for supporters visiting Krow, and/or bail. Krow has stated that she wants the bail paid. We fear for Krow's safety and well-being, especially in light of her assault and the severe mistreatment other water protectors have received in this particular facility. Krow is an activist, artist, forager, sustainable farmer, biologist, and amazing person loved by many within the environmental movement. We need to show her as much solidarity and support as we can at this vital time. In Krow's own words, “We must negate state repression by protecting ourselves and land-bases therein; we must not give our people up, and recognize that to be in solidarity with one another is more akin to the idea of ‘harmony' than ‘unity.' Harmony implies that we can all do different things within the same song, and still find conclusion together.” Whether you are a direct action environmental activist or simply support the No DAPL struggle and protection of the land and all of its people, join us in supporting Krow, in solidarity with all things wild and free. They are actively seeking information about these individuals, and are asking anyone with information to contact them. We want to remind everyone NOT to assist UC Berkeley PD in their investigation, EVEN IF it seems like the information you give is harmless. Remember that even minor information, like identifying a “witness,” can be used to increase surveillance of activist communities. Police use this kind of information to map activist networks and harass them. In the current political climate, the state is looking for ways to clamp down on dissent and resistance. Let's not help them do that. Remember that you have NO LEGAL OBLIGATION to talk to police or FBI if contacted about the protest. They may try to make you feel intimidated, but you ALWAYS have the right to remain silent. If you are contacted by phone, email, letter, or in person, either ignore the correspondence, or tell the officer that you decline to speak with them. If you are contacted, immediately call the National Lawyers Guild at 415-285-1041 so that they can give you legal advice, and also so that they can be aware of police/FBI activities. Finally: DO NOT post or circulate the UC Berkeley PD webpage with pictures of individuals. We do not want to signal boost anything that will increase surveillance and targeting of our communities.
