Synopsis: As concerns about rolled-back protections grow louder, whistleblowers at HUD have risked it all by going public with allegations that paint a stark picture of systematic regression on equality under the law. This show is made possible by you! To become a sustaining member go to LauraFlanders.org/donateDescription: Housing discrimination is illegal in the U.S., but every year, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) receives thousands of complaints from individuals who believe they are not being treated fairly because of their race, religion, disability and other protected classes. HUD is one of the only free resources available to Americans facing housing discrimination, but a shocking new whistleblower complaint letter released on Monday, September 29, 2025 says the agency is in crisis. Staff was slashed by 70% since Donald Trump took office, some civil rights cases have been abandoned, and political appointees are allegedly overriding legal findings to allow discrimination. These are just some of the claims in the formal complaint letter, which has now been filed through U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren's office and taken to the press. In this conversation, Laura Flanders speaks to two of the four whistleblowers, HUD civil rights fair housing attorneys, to find out what this story means for civil rights and why they're speaking out now. As fair housing hangs in the balance, Palmer Heenan and Paul Osadebe are organizing union members to uphold their oath to defend the constitution and protect Americans.Guests:• Palmer Heenan: Attorney, HUD Whistleblower; Member, AFGE 476• Paul Osadebe: Attorney, HUD Whistleblower; Steward, AFGE 476 Subscribe to Laura Flanders & Friends on YouTube and podcast platforms to receive bonus interviews like these and our full, uncut conversations. President Trump, speaking at the White House, declares — without scientific evidence — that acetaminophen use during pregnancy causes autism. Favreau, Lovett, and Tommy react to it all and discuss Charlie Kirk's NFL stadium memorial service, Sen. Ted Cruz's departure from the MAGA-majority on free speech, and Trump's latest Watergate-level corruption scandal—the firing of a US Attorney who refused to charge Trump's enemies with crimes they did not commit. THE FBI's investigation into the shooting of Charlie Kirk has turned up a disturbing connection to an Antifa-linked group called the John Brown Gun Club. John Brown was a violent Civil War-era abolitionist who believed the institution of slavery could only be purged ”with blood.” His memory has been invoked by a leftist organization linked to Antifa that seeks to militarize the white working class against symbols of what it perceives as oppression—like the police. The Texas-based Elm Fork John Brown Gun Club, the transgender group behind the July 4th shooting at the ICE facility in Alvarado, Texas, co-hosted educational workshops in 2023 with Armed Queers SLC, the Salt Lake City group linked to 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, the alleged shooter of Charlie Kirk on September 10, 2025. The founder of Armed Queers SLC, Ermiya Fanaeian, is a prominent activist in Utah who appeared onstage at a rally for then-presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren in 2019 and posted a video with a colleague about their May Day 2025 trip to Cuba to study revolution alongside Palestinians. Where will this investigation lead? Time will tell, but, contrary to the claims of Candace Owens, the evidence is not pointing towards Israel. In this episode of "Normal World," Dave Landau is joined by Angela and guest cohost Mike Imbasciani, filling in for 1/4 Black Garrett. The panel begins with a look at a Spirit Airlines flight that came uncomfortably close to Air Force One, riffing on distracted pilots and the airline's downplayed response to the incident. The tone turns serious as the team revisits the Charlie Kirk assassination, breaking down the suspect's court appearance, unusual text exchanges, and the broader debate over punishment. Along the way, they lampoon the now infamous “suicide smock” and question how justice should ultimately be served. Politics dominate the middle stretch, with pointed commentary on Kash Patel's remarks, including his charge that Adam Schiff is “the biggest fraud to ever sit in the United States Senate.” The discussion broadens to Jerry Nadler's missteps, Hasan Piker's rhetoric, and wider questions about violent protest, cultural decline, and whether America can recover a shared sense of direction. Later, the hosts turn to Elizabeth Warren's public persona and Democratic theatrics before closing on a lighter note with a live performance from Mike Imbasciani. Today's guests on "Normal World" are Kevin Kramis and Adam Johnson.SponsorsSome bourbons chase trends. Flying Ace chases legacy. Buy online at flyingacespirits.com — use code BLAZE for free shipping. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., raised serious national security concerns this week about the Pentagon's plans to integrate the controversial “Grok” chatbot into U.S. military operations via a recent high-dollar deal with tech billionaire Elon Musk's company, xAI. Warner d wrote in her letter delivered to Hegseth Wednesday that “the department awarded a $200 million contract under questionable circumstances to incorporate an AI company with a product that provides misinformation and offensive, antisemitic responses into DOD's operations.” In the correspondence, Warren asks the Pentagon chief to answer dozens of questions about the xAI contract, its full scope of work, ethics and accountability issues and more, by Sept. 24. The Defense Department announced in July that its Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO) partnered with xAI, Anthropic, Google and OpenAI — through four, separate $200 million agreements — to accelerate the department's enterprise-wide adoption of some of the most sophisticated and still-emerging commercial algorithms and machine learning capabilities. Chris Kraft, the Department of Homeland Security's deputy chief technology officer for artificial intelligence and emerging tech, is now serving as the acting chief information officer of the U.S. Secret Service. Kraft, who's focused primarily on AI in his DHS role, replaces Kevin Nally, who recently left government for a position in the private sector. Kraft's new position was not confirmed by spokespeople for the U.S. Secret Service, but he acknowledged the role on LinkedIn. Due to its mission, the Secret Service is quieter than other agencies on its technology portfolio, but the agency uses a variety of platforms and faces serious technology challenges. After the assassination attempt on President Donald Trump in Pennsylvania in July 2024, FedScoop documented a series of tools at the component's disposal, including commercial telemetry data and Protective Threat Management System. Mike Lomas and Glenn Wiggle rip into the chaos of Democrat-run cities, exposing how crime statistics are being manipulated while violence actually worsens. From D.C.'s soaring murder rate to California's crumbling streets, they argue that lenient sentencing and bail reform are fueling lawlessness by design—just another path to more gun control and government power. The guys highlight Florida as a blueprint for real crime reduction, call out corruption enriching career politicians like AOC and Elizabeth Warren, and revisit the overreach of COVID mandates that stripped away freedom. The Democratic National Committee just wrapped up its meeting in Minneapolis, and one of the big ideas floated behind closed doors was a midterm convention. The logic is clear. Democrats are dealing with a brand problem. They want to reset, energize, and show that the party still has fresh faces and energy. That means television time. That means spectacle. So: midterm convention. And I'm all for it. I would love to cover one. I love conventions. Give me a big show with music, lights, messaging — I'm there.I don't know if Trump caught wind of this plan early or just read it when the story dropped, but it's clear what happened next. He jumped on Truth Social and declared that the Republican Party would also hold a midterm convention. Because if the Democrats are getting a big TV moment, then he's going to get one too — and he's going to make it better. That's how Trump operates. If you're doing a spectacle, he's doing a bigger one. The man knows television, and conventions are made-for-TV moments. So now we might have two of them. What would those look like? For the Democrats, expect the same tightly-scripted, ultra-managed production they've always delivered. Nobody does a convention script like the Democratic Party. For all their other dysfunctions, they know how to build a prime-time political package. The Republicans? Expect a Trump rally — but bigger, glossier, and even more overloaded with segments, guests, and applause lines. Multiple nights, probably. A celebration of Trumpism that looks less like a traditional political event and more like an awards show. The Path to a Shutdown is ClearMeanwhile, Axios also reported that Democratic leaders in Congress have landed on their key demand to avoid a government shutdown: the reversal of Medicaid cuts in the One Big Beautiful Bill. And this is where things get interesting. Because while I'm not here to defend either side — I come from media, not partisanship — I can tell you that this is exactly the kind of story that drives conservatives crazy. This is what fuels the belief that the media covers these fights with blinders on. Because here's the reality: Democrats want to shut down the government. They are choosing this. They want a shutdown — not because they think it will solve something, but because they think it's a strong midterm frame. That frame is Medicaid cuts. Specifically, Medicaid cuts for rural hospitals. That's the message. Not the whole bill, not the fiscal fight — just the healthcare piece. That's the issue they believe will mobilize their base and let them go on offense. So everything that happens next, from press statements to floor speeches, is about setting up that narrative. The Republicans will try to pass a continuing resolution. Democrats will have to decide: do they agree, or do they shut it down?I don't think Schumer or Jeffries can survive politically if they don't let their caucus go through with this. That's the point we've reached. The shutdown is happening, and this is why. The date to watch is September 30 — that's when the funding runs out. And unless a miracle happens, we're going to see this showdown play out just like they've mapped it. And the messaging is already here. Elizabeth Warren said, “If Republicans want Democrats to provide votes to fund the Trump administration, they can start by restoring the health care they ripped away to finance more tax handouts for billionaires.” That's the line. That's the campaign. It's already baked in. Democrats sent a letter to Speaker Johnson and Senator Thune saying this has to be bipartisan — while knowing full well that their demands are nonstarters. It's the same dynamic we've seen from Republicans in the past: throw out a demand that won't be met, use the denial to justify the shutdown. The only difference is that Democrats usually don't do this. But this isn't the same Democratic Party as it used to be, now is it?Chapters00:00:00 - Intro00:06:42 - Midterm Conventions00:09:35 - Dems Shutdown Plan00:15:34 - Update and Minneapolis Shooting00:18:28 - Epstein00:22:56 - CDC00:24:33 - Mark Teixeira00:27:01 - Interview with Howard Mortman01:04:10- Wrap-up This is a public episode. Jen Psaki shares samples of the gross, sycophantic fawning of Donald Trump's Cabinet members at a group meeting that leaves little wonder why Trump thinks "a lot of people say" he should be a dictator. His own Cabinet already treats him like one.Jen Psaki reports on Donald Trump's director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, who is using his access to federal housing data to accuse Trump's political enemies of mortgage fraud, perhaps ignoring the irony that Trump is a notorious fraudster, or perhaps because of it. Senator Elizabeth Warren joins to discuss what the FHFA is meant to do, and what is really going on with Pulte's obeisance to Trump.Jen Psaki reports on the devastating poll results that have Donald Trump rightly concerned about Republican control of Congress after 2026, and which are likely why he is appointing wild election conspiracy theorist Heather Honey to be deputy assistant secretary for election integrity, and is begging states with Republican-controlled legislatures to help him rig voting districts.Iowa Democrat Catelin Drey breaks the state's Republican supermajority with a Senate special election win.

This week on the Mark Levin Show, the Justice Department is launching a federal grand jury investigation into former Obama administration officials accused of their role in 2016's Russia-gate. This legal move could lead to criminal charges against key Cabinet members from the Obama era, including James Clapper, John Brennan, and James Comey. President Barack Obama needs to be questioned for his role. Barack Obama is the central figure in uncovering the full scope of the Russia Collusion scandal and the attempt to undermine the Trump campaign and presidency. The Supreme Court does not grant him blanket immunity. It offers a presumption of immunity, which could be challenged based on what the investigation reveals. Regardless, there is no immunity from criminal investigation or from being compelled to testify under oath—period. Israel is being attacked and accused of a deep Zionistic rhetoric that Israel has special interests regarding the spread of Zionism. Isreal is defending itself and protecting the freedoms of Jews, Christians and non-radical Muslims who oppose the Radical-Islamic regimes. Sen Elizabeth Warren met with Zohran Mamdani to endorse his socialist and Marxist agenda. Warren asserts that affordability is the primary crisis facing our nation, but this is merely a facade to disguise their true intentions. She also claims that this aligns with the Democratic message and their core values. Fidel Castro spoke of free healthcare, free food, and housing, yet he stifled his people's progress, leading to the current disastrous state of Cuba. The handouts they are advocating will ultimately cause more harm than good, jeopardizing everything you have worked tirelessly for, merely to provide for illegal immigrants, while also undermining essential institutions like our Police Departments, ICE, and more. Democrats have been more aggressive in gerrymandering than Republicans. There's not a single Republican representative from Massachusetts. There's only one Republican representative from Maryland. In 2020, the Census made "mathematic" errors resulting in upwards of 5 congressional seats assigned to blue states, which should have been held by red states. President Trump as an iconic, history-making president who thinks outside the box, achieving success as both a businessman and leader. Trump leverages America's economic power to rebuild industries, repatriate businesses, access closed economies, and compete with Communist China, while applying it to foreign policy—mirroring Ronald Reagan's approach that led to the Soviet Union's collapse. Chicago's Mayor Brandon Johnson warns of a "point of no return" for city finances amid a $1.1 billion 2026 deficit, pushing for tax hikes like a millionaire tax, corporate head tax and wants progressive revenue options. In On Power, it explains that the progressive movement aims to fundamentally transform America and Western democracies by centralizing government power, diminishing individual freedoms, and reengineering society through soft negative power. Johnson's progressive tax hikes reflects a drive to expand centralized governmental authority, which will erode economic freedoms and individual autonomy in pursuit of societal reengineering. This is what NYC can look forward to if Zohran Mamdani gets elected. Mandami repeatedly trashes America, failed to assimilate, and acting as a revolutionary against the country since his teenage arrival. His Marxist, Islamist, and Jew-hating ideologies echo terrorist lines. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
