Hey folks, before we dive into episode 250 (250!?), please read the title of the episode. With that information fresh in your mind, you need to decide if this is a topic that will trigger you or send you into a blind rage in the comments. If the answer is 'yes', then maybe sit this one out. If the answer is 'no', then enjoy the episode. You're sitting alone, and suddenly a voice cuts through the silence. It knows your deepest fears, your hidden shame, and it won't shut up. It's not a friend, not your conscience—it's something else, taunting you, day after day. For millions of people with schizophrenia, this isn't a thought experiment—it's their reality. But here's the kicker: what if those voices aren't just a glitch in the brain? What if they're something… more? Thanks for 250 weeks of weird. Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for June 21, 2025 is: litmus test LIT-mus-TEST noun A litmus test is something (such as an opinion about a political or moral issue) that is used to make a judgment about whether someone or something is acceptable. // At our family's Thanksgiving dinner, the litmus test for good mac and cheese is whether or not it is baked. See the entry > Examples: “The audience in a Broadway show can be intoxicating, and it's like a litmus test. If a joke doesn't land one night, you tell it differently the next night. It's terrifying, on set, to have no idea if something is working.” — Erika Henningsen, quoted in The Hollywood Reporter, 1 May 2025 Did you know? It was in the 14th century that scientists discovered that litmus, a mixture of colored organic compounds obtained from lichen, turns red in acid solutions and blue in alkaline solutions and, thus, can be used as an acid-base indicator. Six centuries later, people began using litmus test figuratively. It can now refer to any single factor that establishes the true character of something or causes something to be assigned to one category or another. Often it refers to something (such as an opinion about a political or moral issue) that can be used to make a judgment about whether someone or something is acceptable or not.

Welcome back to The Freaky Deaky! Tonight, we're stepping into the shadows of a topic that's haunted humanity for centuries—demonic possession. Not the Hollywood version with spinning heads and green pea soup, but the real, unsettling accounts whispered in church records, scribbled in diaries, and debated by priests, skeptics, and scholars alike. We're breaking it down into four stages: Infestation, Oppression, Obsession, and Possession. These aren't just spooky stories—they're a roadmap of how some believe a malevolent force creeps into a life, starting with whispers in the walls and ending with a battle for the body itself. First, there's Infestation—think unexplained knocks, foul stenches, a sense that something's watching. Then Oppression hits, grinding you down with exhaustion and nightmares. Obsession follows, hijacking your thoughts with darkness you can't shake. And finally, Possession—where the entity takes the wheel, turning your body into its puppet. We've got four true tales tonight, pulled from dusty archives and firsthand accounts. Are these demons real, or just the mind cracking under pressure? Can you really go from free to demon possessed in 4 easy steps? You decide. 1:25: Last week, Mike Vrabel talked about the message he wanted to deliver to the players before they left for the break. What was the prime directive Hogan and the rest of the team got from Bill Belichick before they left for the summer? “Don't be an assh*le.” 4:30: How do you as a player get away from the game, but also want to try and stay sharp? Are you running on a beach somewhere at 6 a.m. at a resort? “I remember taking my wife to Turks & Caicos and we were doing hill sprints at 7 o'clock in the morning.” 7:15: We asked Vrabel what he was going to do over the next four weeks or so, and he talked about time with family. He also said you sort of got cranky over the last 10 days or so, because you were just ready for things to start. What did you do during your time away, and did you get squirrelly at all in those last 10 days or so before the start of camp? “Yeah, you get anxious,” said Hogan. 10:00: Training camp is all football, but there's also anxiety and excitement and anticipation. “I'll see you at Thanksgiving.” What is the best thing and worst thing about this time of year for a player? 16:00: Price is working on a story on John “Stretch” Streicher, Vrabel's No. 2 guy who has been described by some as the new Ernie Adams. With this in mind, what is Hogan's favorite Ernie Adams story? “Ernie was always a damn mystery to me. For the first year and a half, I didn't know who the guy was. … He was a really interesting individual.” 21:15: Ernie was a one-man analytics department in Foxborough. 21:40: On Drake as a leader. Does he have the capability to take that step from rookie quarterback to captain/leader? “He can't be afraid to be an assh*le.” 27:10: On Maye leading the spring workouts. He would call out a cadence and if the team jumped, they'd run again. He had the reins. “I think that's a good sign. …. For this team to be successful, [Maye] needs to continue to mature into a genuine leader.” 30:25: On Brady telling Gronk he wouldn't throw him the ball if he kept making mistakes. “I don't care how good you are.” Brady was “so detail-oriented.” On building trust with pass catchers. 35:12: Over/under on Stefon Diggs. We take 70 catches, 950 yards, and five touchdowns. Over or under on all three?

In those moments when we want to disagree, why do we often stay silent? At those times when we want to opt out, why do we often just go along? A key reason is that it's hard to defy. It's hard to question the way something's always been done. To challenge comments, behaviors, and systems. Yet it's in those moments of defiance that we flex our values and craft an identity. That's why I wanted to talk to Sunita Sah, organizational psychologist at Cornell University and author of the book, Defy: The Power of No in a World that Demands Yes. Her research reveals the importance of defiance and the skills we need to do it well. In her book – and in this conversation – she shares ways we can practice it and support others doing the same. This morning's message looks at Paul's words in Philippians 4:6-7 as an encouragement to pray and share with God all the things on our heart and mind, not only to see God change circumstances, but as a way to change us and to know that He cares for us. Prayer is relational in nature because it builds our trust and connection with the Lord. We can pray about everything and learn to be anxious for nothing.

Howard Stern believes sportscasters should normalize saying "penis" on air. In basketball, Kyrie Irving defended Karl-Anthony Towns from criticism as the Pacers surprisingly took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Evan and Tiki debated the Knicks' situation, while the Yankees beat the Royals with a 5-run inning and an Aaron Judge homer. Marcus Stroman made a rehab start, and the Mets shut out the Nationals thanks to two Brandon Nimmo home runs and a complete game from David Peterson, though Pete Alonso getting hit angered Ron Darling. Finally, Mike Tannenbaum predicted Aaron Rodgers would be irrelevant by Thanksgiving, and Rodgers recently got married privately.
Hour 1 The Mets and Yankees are on a roll, with David Peterson throwing a complete game for the Mets. Meanwhile, the Knicks' coaching search continues to flounder, with rejections from candidates like Jason Kidd and public criticism from Charles Barkley. Elsewhere, the U.S. Open starts today, the Pacers took a 2-1 series lead over the Thunder, and an anonymous player poll named Juan Soto the hitter pitchers least want to face in a World Series Game 7. Hour 2 Howard Stern believes sportscasters should normalize saying "penis" on air. Hour 3 Both the Yankees and Mets are hot, building excitement for potential September playoff pushes; the Yankees' post-Juan Soto additions are thriving, while Mets pitching is so strong a caller doesn't want Sean Manaea back from injury. Boomer expects the Braves to heat up but notes Phillies' injuries. In other news, Kyrie Irving defended Karl-Anthony Towns on Twitch, leading to a discussion about "code switching" and whether New Jersey is a "tiny" state. The Yankees beat the Royals with an Aaron Judge homer, and the Mets shut out the Nationals thanks to a David Peterson complete game and two Brandon Nimmo home runs, though Pete Alonso getting hit again angered Ron Darling. Hour 4 The Knicks are still searching for a new head coach, with speculation about player input during exit interviews. A new "Roommates" podcast is due today. Jerry's final update included the Pacers' 2-1 lead over the Thunder, the Yankees' victory over the Royals (5 runs in the second), and the Mets' shutout of the Nationals, featuring a David Peterson complete game and homers from Juan Soto and Brandon Nimmo. Joe Flacco found it hard to believe adults use TikTok. The "Moment of The Day" was a funny caller interaction with Jerry, and Boomer is out tomorrow for a Maryland quarterback event.

*WARNING: This episode is brimming with a plethora of tangents. If you're someone that complains about the irrefutable whimsey of off-topic conversation, sit this one out champ. Or, at the very least, shut the f*** up, mmk?* Welcome back to The Freaky Deaky. Tonight, we're turning the dial to 11, diving straight into the static hum of the afterlife and tuning into real encounters—stories of voices from beyond. These are messages from the other side, and they're anything but gentle whispers in the dark. These stories don't just give you chills—they bring receipts. Eyewitnesses, recordings, newspaper reports, court records. These voices came back for a reason—some to set the record straight, some to deliver warnings, others to make sure justice was served. A ghostly father glowing by his son's bed, revealing the location of a hidden will. A noblewoman phoning in from the grave to save her crumbling estate. A spirit hijacking a living girl's body for weeks to reconnect with her family. A pilot whose voice cut through the airwaves long after his crash. And a young woman's ghost whispering secrets to her mother that would lock up her killer. These weren't hallucinations. These weren't hoaxes. These were experienced by families, police, judges—ordinary people, changed forever by what they heard. Are these spirits with unfinished business? Or is something else trying to break through? ----- TIME STAMPS: 0:00 - Messengers From The Afterlife 1:10 - Intro 2:30 - Disgusting & Unprofessional 5:13 - STORY: The Chaffin Will Ghost (North Carolina) 5:26 - Christian Is Lying, the Man Practically FLEW Down My Porch. Like most rebellious teenagers, I wasn't much for rules. But the Thanksgiving weekend of 2007, I played it by the book. My dad gave me strict instructions not to leave my hunting blind until dark, especially if I shot a deer. And, Buddy, did I keep that bucket seat warm. My ears were still ringing when I peered through the new hole in the blind's shoot-through mesh. The buck I shot dropped in its tracks, and I could see its white underbelly lying...

On November 27, 2024, U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian denied Sean "Diddy" Combs's third request for bail. Combs, facing charges of sex trafficking and racketeering, had proposed a $50 million bond and stringent conditions, including 24/7 surveillance and house arrest at a Manhattan apartment. Despite these measures, the judge expressed concerns about the potential for witness tampering and the safety of the community, citing Combs's alleged attempts to interfere with the investigation while in custody.Prosecutors argued that Combs had a history of manipulating witnesses and obstructing justice, presenting evidence of his violent behavior and efforts to influence the case from jail. They highlighted instances where Combs allegedly bribed security officers to destroy surveillance footage and contacted witnesses through unauthorized means. The judge concluded that no combination of conditions could ensure community safety or prevent obstruction of justice, leading to the denial of bail.(commercial at 8:17)Let's dive in!to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Diddy denied bail for THIRD time ahead of sex trafficking trial | Daily Mail Online

Our card this week is Sharon Glover, the 6 of Spades from Louisiana. Early on November 14, 1993, just two weeks before Thanksgiving, Sharon Glover was found viciously stabbed to death on a rural backroad in northwest Louisiana. Rumors led Sharon's family to believe the killer was someone close to them. But detectives are now releasing new information in this case for the first time, and they believe there's been a different prime suspect lurking in the background of this investigation for decades. If you have any information on the murder of Sharon Glover, Det. Jackson urges you to reach out to him directly at (318) 681-0705. You can also submit a tip anonymously through Crimestoppers.
