Living Local: Spotlight on Plymouth, MA — A Town Steeped in History and Full of Heart At Boston Connect Real Estate, we believe that real estate is more than just buying and selling homes—it's about finding a lifestyle, a community, and a place to call home. That's why our Talk Real Estate Roundtable often features our “Living Local” series, where we highlight the unique towns south of Boston. In our latest episode, hosts Melissa Wallace and Kristen Howlett turned their focus to one of Massachusetts' most iconic coastal towns: Plymouth. America's Hometown—Past and Present Often referred to as "America's Hometown," Plymouth holds a storied place in American history. Founded in 1620 by the Mayflower Pilgrims, it's one of the oldest municipalities in the United States and was the site of the first Thanksgiving feast. It served as the capital of Plymouth Colony until 1691 and was originally home to the Wampanoag village of Patuxet. Today, Plymouth remains a vibrant community where history and modern living blend seamlessly. From the famed Plymouth Rock to the beautifully restored Mayflower II and historic homes, the town offers a unique window into our nation's beginnings. Geography That Inspires Plymouth is massive in terms of land area—spanning over 96 square miles of land and 134 square miles including water. It encompasses various neighborhoods and geographical sections like Cedarville, Manomet, and Plymouth Center. Its coastline stretches along Cape Cod Bay and features nine public beaches, with Plymouth Beach being the largest and most ecologically significant. Outdoor enthusiasts can enjoy the town's numerous ponds, forested areas, and conservation lands. Miles Standish State Forest and Camp Cachalot offer camping, hiking, and exploration right in your backyard. A Culinary Destination One of the most-loved aspects of Plymouth, according to listener feedback, is its dining scene. From seafood shacks to upscale restaurants, there's something for everyone. Kristen and Melissa shared local favorites, including spots like the Pillory Pub, Tavern on the Wharf, and many more that offer everything from casual bites to waterfront views and live acoustic music. Whether it's a cozy brunch or a night out, Plymouth has a restaurant for every occasion—and the best part is, you can often get a table without a reservation! Community and Lifestyle For those considering a move, Plymouth offers more than just historical charm and natural beauty. It's a place where you can feel connected. Kristen noted that many clients—especially those looking to downsize—are drawn to Plymouth for its relaxed coastal lifestyle, sense of community, and access to amenities. Plymouth offers a variety of housing options, from historic homes to new construction, making it appealing to everyone from first-time homebuyers to retirees. Real Estate With Heart At Boston Connect Real Estate, we're not just helping clients buy and sell homes—we're helping them find where they truly belong. Plymouth embodies the kind of community where people want to plant roots, whether it's your first home, your forever home, or a cozy coastal retreat. Thinking about calling Plymouth home? Let us help you discover why so many fall in love with this historic gem. Interested in learning more about living in Plymouth or other South Shore communities? Daily Anglican Prayer - Wednesday Morning – 25th June 2025 Readings NRSV: Psalm 135; 1 Samuel 19. 1-17; Acts 13.1-12. Led by Felicity Scott, an Anglican prayer minister in Queensland, Australia. The full prayer transcript is available by going to this episode on the Podcast website. https://dailyprayeranglicanprayerbookforaustralia.podbean.com Welcome to Wednesday Morning prayer. We proclaim the Good News of our Lord Jesus Christ: GOD in his infinite mercy, forgives all sins, and through our baptism in the name of our Saviour, Jesus Christ, we are given a rebirth into new life, free from the burden of all sin. ALLELUIA With faithfulness we respond to the good news: We acknowledge Christ as our saviour and accept with gratitude, that we are forgiven for all wrong doings, past and present. To honour the gift of forgiveness, we release our burden of guilt and rise up to live in the glory of God forever more. Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, Blessed be God forever. Let us Pray. 1 Rejoice always pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; For this is the will of God in Christ Jesus.       Glory to God; Father, Son and Holy Spirit:  as in the beginning, so now, and for ever. Amen.    2 The Opening Canticle, A Song of God's Grace Blessed are you,  the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ: For you have blessed us in Christ Jesus with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,  You chose us to be yours in Christ, before the foundation of the world: That we should be holy and blameless before you.  In love you destined us to be your children, through Jesus Christ: according to the purpose of your will,  to the praise of your glorious grace: which you freely bestowed on us in the Beloved. Ephesians 1.3-6     3 The Opening Prayer The night has passed and the day lies open before us;  let us pray with one heart and mind.    Silence may be kept. As we rejoice in the gift of this new day,  so may the light of your presence, O God,  set our hearts on fire with love for you;  now and for ever.  Amen.    4 The Psalms as appointed. A pause is observed after each.   Psalm reading… Psalm 135 1 Praise the Lord, praise the name of the Lord: praise him, you servants of the Lord, 2 Who stand in the house of the Lord: in the courts of the house of our God. 3 Praise the Lord, for the Lord is gracious: sing praises to his name, for it is good. 4 For the Lord has chosen Jacob for himself: and Israel as his own possession. 5 I know that the Lord is great: and that our Lord is above all gods. 6 He does whatever he wills, in heaven and upon the earth: in the seas and in the great depths. 7 He brings up clouds from the ends of the earth: he makes lightning for the rain and brings the wind out of his storehouses. 8 He struck down the firstborn of Egypt: both man and beast alike. 9 He sent signs and wonders into your midst, O Egypt: against Pharaoh and against all his servants. 10 He struck down great nations: and slew mighty kings, 11 Sihon, king of the Amorites, and Og, the king of Bashan: and all the princes of Canaan. 12 He made over their land as a heritage: a heritage for Israel his people. 13 O Lord, your name shall endure for ever: so shall your renown, throughout all generations. 14 For the Lord will vindicate his people: he will take pity on his servants. 15 As for the idols of the nations, they are but silver and gold: the work of human hands. 16 They have mouths, but speak not: they have eyes, but they cannot see. 17 They have ears, yet hear nothing: there is no breath in their nostrils. 18 Those who make them shall be like them: so shall everyone that trusts in them. 19 Bless the Lord, O house of Israel: bless the Lord, O house of Aaron. 20 Bless the Lord, O house of Levi: you that fear the Lord, bless the Lord. 21 Blessed be the Lord from Zion: he that dwells in Jerusalem. Praise the Lord.   5 At the end of the (last) pause there may follow We consecrate this day to your service, O Lord; may all our thoughts, words, and actions be well-pleasing to you and serve the good of our brothers and sisters; through Jesus Christ, our Lord.  Amen.   6 One or two Readings from the Bible as appointed.   Old testament Reading… 1 Samuel 19. 1-17; Jonathan Intercedes for David   1 Saul spoke with his son Jonathan and with all his servants about killing David. But Saul's son Jonathan took great delight in David. 2 Jonathan told David, “My father Saul is trying to kill you; therefore be on guard tomorrow morning; stay in a secret place and hide yourself. 3 I will go out and stand beside my father in the field where you are, and I will speak to my father about you; if I learn anything I will tell you.” 4 Jonathan spoke well of David to his father Saul, saying to him, “The king should not sin against his servant David, because he has not sinned against you, and because his deeds have been of good service to you; 5 for he took his life in his hand when he attacked the Philistine, and the Lord brought about a great victory for all Israel. You saw it, and rejoiced; why then will you sin against an innocent person by killing David without cause?” 6 Saul heeded the voice of Jonathan; Saul swore, “As the Lord lives, he shall not be put to death.” 7 So Jonathan called David and related all these things to him. Jonathan then brought David to Saul, and he was in his presence as before. Michal Helps David Escape from Saul 8 Again there was war, and David went out to fight the Philistines. He launched a heavy attack on them, so that they fled before him. 9 Then an evil spirit from the Lord came upon Saul, as he sat in his house with his spear in his hand, while David was playing music. 10 Saul sought to pin David to the wall with the spear; but he eluded Saul, so that he struck the spear into the wall. David fled and escaped that night. 11 Saul sent messengers to David's house to keep watch over him, planning to kill him in the morning. David's wife Michal told him, “If you do not save your life tonight, tomorrow you will be killed.” 12 So Michal let David down through the window; he fled away and escaped. 13 Michal took an idol and laid it on the bed; she put a net of goats' hair on its head, and covered it with the clothes. 14 When Saul sent messengers to take David, she said, “He is sick.” 15 Then Saul sent the messengers to see David for themselves. He said, “Bring him up to me in the bed, that I may kill him.” 16 When the messengers came in, the idol was in the bed, with the covering of goats' hair on its head. 17 Saul said to Michal, “Why have you deceived me like this, and let my enemy go, so that he has escaped?” Michal answered Saul, “He said to me, ‘Let me go; why should I kill you?' ”   Hear the word of the LORD. Thanks be to God New testament Reading… Acts 13.1-12 Barnabas and Saul Commissioned 1 Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen a member of the court of Herod the ruler, and Saul. 2 While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” 3 Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off. The Apostles Preach in Cyprus 4 So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia; and from there they sailed to Cyprus. 5 When they arrived at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the synagogues of the Jews. And they had John also to assist them. 6 When they had gone through the whole island as far as Paphos, they met a certain magician, a Jewish false prophet, named Bar-Jesus. 7 He was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, an intelligent man, who summoned Barnabas and Saul and wanted to hear the word of God. 8 But the magician Elymas (for that is the translation of his name) opposed them and tried to turn the proconsul away from the faith. 9 But Saul, also known as Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked intently at him 10 and said, “You son of the devil, you enemy of all righteousness, full of all deceit and villainy, will you not stop making crooked the straight paths of the Lord? 11 And now listen—the hand of the Lord is against you, and you will be blind for a while, unable to see the sun.” Immediately mist and darkness came over him, and he went about groping for someone to lead him by the hand. 12 When the proconsul saw what had happened, he believed, for he was astonished at the teaching about the Lord.   Hear the message of Christ. Thanks be to God.     7 The Canticle, We praise you O God: we claim you as Lord. All creation thanks you: The Father everlasting. To you all angels, all the powers of heaven: The cherubim and serafim sing in endless praise: Holy, holy, holy, Lord God of power and might: Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Father of majesty unbounded: Your true and only son, worthy of all praise, the Holy Spirit, advocate and guide. You, Christ, are the king of glory, the eternal son of the father. When you took our flesh to set us free: You humbly chose the virgin's womb. You overcame the sting of death: And opened the kingdom of heaven to all believers. You are seated at God's right hand in glory: We believe that you will come to be our judge. Come then, God, and help your people, bought with the price of your own blood: And bring us with your Saints to glory everlasting.   8 The belief and principle is said I believe in God, creator of heaven and earth, whose love and merciful forgiveness endures everlasting. I believe in Christ the saviour, whose example of love and compassion, taught us a restored way to live, in collaborative unity with all people. I believe in the Holy Spirit, whose divine guidance brings us together to be one with the Holy Trinity. Amen.      9 The Prayers Lord have mercy.  Christ have mercy.  God have mercy.       10 The Lord's Prayer and the Collect of the Day Our Father in heaven,  hallowed be your name,  your kingdom come,  your will be done,  on earth as in heaven.  Give us today our daily bread.  Forgive us our sins  as we forgive those who sin against us.  Save us from the time of trial  and deliver us from evil.  For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours  now and for ever. Amen.      The Prayers of the Week following the second Sunday after Pentecost Almighty and everlasting God, You are always more ready to hear then we to pray and give more than either we desire or deserve pour down upon us the abundance of your mercy forgiving us those things of which our conscience is afraid and giving us those good things which we are not worthy to ask, saved through the merits and mediation of Jesus Christ, your son our Lord. Amen   11 Intercessions and Thanksgivings may be made according to local custom and need. Let us pray Lord, we give you thanks, that through your son Jesus Christ, you have shown us the way to live in your righteousness. You made us in your likeness, you gave your only son Jesus Christ who gave us forgiveness of sin, bring us together as one, different in culture but given new life in Jesus Christ. Reconciled, forgiven, sharing you with others as you have called us to do. We pray for reconciliation with you God and reconciliation with each other and ask for strength to remain in your presence in all we do. Hive Digital Technologies subsidiary BUZZ HPC's President and COO Craig Tavares joined Steve Darling from Proactive to unveil a major expansion in the company's high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure. BUZZ has launched a new NVIDIA Hopper GPU cluster in Quebec, the latest addition to its growing supercomputing network that now spans three clusters across Canada and Sweden. The newly deployed Quebec cluster is equipped with NVIDIA Hopper GPUs and powered by NVIDIA's Quantum-2 InfiniBand networking platform, delivering exceptional processing speed and data throughput. Tavares confirmed that the system is already operating near full utilization—a strong signal of market demand and operational readiness. “This cluster is a big step forward in our mission to provide accessible and scalable AI compute infrastructure across Canada,” Tavares noted. Since 2023, BUZZ HPC has focused on building a pan-Canadian HPC footprint, establishing state-of-the-art data centers in Quebec and New Brunswick. These facilities span multiple time zones and languages, enabling localized support and broader accessibility for Canadian businesses and institutions. In a move to lower entry barriers, BUZZ is offering free and subsidized HPC credits to Canadian startups, research institutions, and companies, empowering more organizations to harness advanced compute power for AI development and innovation. In parallel, Hive Digital Technologies has taken a significant step to scale its infrastructure by announcing a purchase and sale agreement to acquire a Toronto-based facility with 7.2 megawatts of installed capacity. The acquisition not only adds strategic geographic coverage but also supports Hive's broader vision to accelerate the development of a sovereign Canadian AI ecosystem through BUZZ HPC. These developments come as Hive Digital continues to make headlines in the digital infrastructure space. The company recently surpassed 11.4 Exahash per second (EH/s) in global Bitcoin mining hashrate, marking the early and successful completion of Phase 1 of its Yguazú project in Paraguay—a 100-megawatt operation that plays a pivotal role in Hive's scale-up strategy. The company has been increasing its hashrate at a rapid pace—approximately 1 EH/s per week—and is targeting 25 EH/s by Thanksgiving 2025. Together, these milestones reinforce Hive's position as both a global leader in Bitcoin mining and a fast-emerging force in high-performance AI computing infrastructure. With its dual focus on blockchain and HPC, the company is uniquely positioned to meet the demands of an increasingly digital and AI-driven economy. #proactiveinvestors #hivedigitaltechnologieslet #tsxv #hive #nasdaq #hive #CryptoMining #GreenEnergy #BuzzHPC #AIInfrastructure #NvidiaH200 #QuebecDataCenter #SustainableTech #GPUCluster #TorontoTech #AITraining #HiveDigital #LiquidCooling #Supercomputing #GreenEnergyAI #Exahash #HighPerformanceComputing

Thursdays are the absolute worst day for holidays because you have to return to work the very next day, creating a disjointed break that feels unsatisfying and disruptive to the normal workflow.• Holidays should be celebrated on their actual date but observed on Fridays to create long weekends• Thanksgiving's scheduling on the fourth Thursday of November is unnecessarily confusing and arbitrary • Working for a few days, having a midweek holiday, then returning to work creates a psychological "second Monday" effect• The ideal solution would be to keep Monday and Friday holidays as they are, but shift Tuesday-Thursday holidays to Fridays• Consistency in holiday scheduling would create more meaningful breaks that connect with weekendsCheck me out! Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day

Merriam-Webster's Word of the Day for June 21, 2025 is: litmus test • LIT-mus-TEST • noun A litmus test is something (such as an opinion about a political or moral issue) that is used to make a judgment about whether someone or something is acceptable. // At our family's Thanksgiving dinner, the litmus test for good mac and cheese is whether or not it is baked. See the entry > Examples: “The audience in a Broadway show can be intoxicating, and it's like a litmus test. If a joke doesn't land one night, you tell it differently the next night. It's terrifying, on set, to have no idea if something is working.” — Erika Henningsen, quoted in The Hollywood Reporter, 1 May 2025 Did you know? It was in the 14th century that scientists discovered that litmus, a mixture of colored organic compounds obtained from lichen, turns red in acid solutions and blue in alkaline solutions and, thus, can be used as an acid-base indicator. Six centuries later, people began using litmus test figuratively. It can now refer to any single factor that establishes the true character of something or causes something to be assigned to one category or another. Often it refers to something (such as an opinion about a political or moral issue) that can be used to make a judgment about whether someone or something is acceptable or not.

Welcome back to The Freaky Deaky! Tonight, we're stepping into the shadows of a topic that's haunted humanity for centuries—demonic possession. Not the Hollywood version with spinning heads and green pea soup, but the real, unsettling accounts whispered in church records, scribbled in diaries, and debated by priests, skeptics, and scholars alike. We're breaking it down into four  stages: Infestation, Oppression, Obsession, and Possession. These aren't just spooky stories—they're a roadmap of how some believe a malevolent force creeps into a life, starting with whispers in the walls and ending with a battle for the body itself.   First, there's Infestation—think unexplained knocks, foul stenches, a sense that something's watching. Then Oppression hits, grinding you down with exhaustion and nightmares. Obsession follows, hijacking your thoughts with darkness you can't shake. And finally, Possession—where the entity takes the wheel, turning your body into its puppet. We've got four true tales tonight, pulled from dusty archives and firsthand accounts. Are these demons real, or just the mind cracking under pressure? Can you really go from free to demon possessed in 4 easy steps? You decide.  We'll see you on the inside… ----- TIME STAMPS: 0:00 - Demons, Amirite? 0:56 - Intro 2:15 - Strawberryyyyy  4:03 - Excerpt From Richard Gallagher of Demonic Foes 7:29 - STAGE 1: Infestation  9:47 - Southington Funeral Home Case 12:27 - The Bell Witch Haunting  14:23 - What Draws In Demonic Entities? 15:03 - Past Sins & Sins of the Father  18:23 - Identifying & Breaking Generational Curses 21:41 - STAGE 2: Oppression  23:13 - The Maria Talarico Case 25:03 - The Mary Langdon Case (1670's Massachusetts)  27:23 - How Does a Demon Choose It's Target? 28:23 - Can Believers Get Possessed? 29:53 - Scott Has Control Issues (Obviously though, right?) 33:23 - Spiritual Attacks & Warfare of the Mind  38:36 - Lackadaisical Is Much Ruder Than I Imagined 39:39 - STAGE 3: Obsession   40:23 - Do Unbelievers Suffer Spiritual Attacks? 41:28 - The Anna Ecklund Case 43:23 - St. Columba's Monastery Case 44:53 - Why Do Demon's Target The Mind 45:45 - STAGE 4: Possession 46:23 - The Case of Michael Taylor (Yorkshire, 1974) 47:27 - The Case of Jeanne des Anges (1630's France) 52:43 - "If There's Demons, There's Demons"  53:36 - Majority of The World Believes In Demons 54:54 - Scott's Not Catholic, But Appreciates Confession 56:03 - Accepting Forgiveness Is Difficult 57:23 - Keep Your "Religion is Bad, Blah Blah Blah" Comments to Yourself 60:03 - Next Week: Schizophrenia & The Supernatural (Episode 250) 61:30 - Gregorian Chant Outro _____________________________________________ +PRODUCERS: Eric Long, Daniel Heng, Anthony M,  +BECOME A PRODUCER: http://bit.ly/3WZ3xTg +BUY A $9 SHOUT-OUT: https://holler.baby/thefreakydeaky The Twilight Zone meets Mystery Science Theatre 3000 meets an uncomfortable Thanksgiving dinner conversation with your in-laws. 1:25: Last week, Mike Vrabel talked about the message he wanted to deliver to the players before they left for the break. What was the prime directive Hogan and the rest of the team got from Bill Belichick before they left for the summer? “Don't be an assh*le.” 4:30: How do you as a player get away from the game, but also want to try and stay sharp? Are you running on a beach somewhere at 6 a.m. at a resort? “I remember taking my wife to Turks & Caicos and we were doing hill sprints at 7 o'clock in the morning.” 7:15: We asked Vrabel what he was going to do over the next four weeks or so, and he talked about time with family. He also said you sort of got cranky over the last 10 days or so, because you were just ready for things to start. What did you do during your time away, and did you get squirrelly at all in those last 10 days or so before the start of camp? “Yeah, you get anxious,” said Hogan. 10:00: Training camp is all football, but there's also anxiety and excitement and anticipation. “I'll see you at Thanksgiving.” What is the best thing and worst thing about this time of year for a player? 16:00: Price is working on a story on John “Stretch” Streicher, Vrabel's No. 2 guy who has been described by some as the new Ernie Adams. With this in mind, what is Hogan's favorite Ernie Adams story? “Ernie was always a damn mystery to me. For the first year and a half, I didn't know who the guy was. … He was a really interesting individual.” 21:15: Ernie was a one-man analytics department in Foxborough. 21:40: On Drake as a leader. Does he have the capability to take that step from rookie quarterback to captain/leader? “He can't be afraid to be an assh*le.” 27:10: On Maye leading the spring workouts. He would call out a cadence and if the team jumped, they'd run again. He had the reins. “I think that's a good sign. …. For this team to be successful, [Maye] needs to continue to mature into a genuine leader.” 30:25: On Brady telling Gronk he wouldn't throw him the ball if he kept making mistakes. “I don't care how good you are.” Brady was “so detail-oriented.” On building trust with pass catchers. 35:12: Over/under on Stefon Diggs. We take 70 catches, 950 yards, and five touchdowns. Over or under on all three?

In those moments when we want to disagree, why do we often stay silent? At those times when we want to opt out, why do we often just go along? A key reason is that it's hard to defy. It's hard to question the way something's always been done. To challenge comments, behaviors, and systems. Yet it's in those moments of defiance that we flex our values and craft an identity. That's why I wanted to talk to Sunita Sah, organizational psychologist at Cornell University and author of the book, Defy: The Power of No in a World that Demands Yes. Her research reveals the importance of defiance and the skills we need to do it well. In her book – and in this conversation – she shares ways we can practice it and support others doing the same. Hour 1 The Mets and Yankees are on a roll, with David Peterson throwing a complete game for the Mets. Meanwhile, the Knicks' coaching search continues to flounder, with rejections from candidates like Jason Kidd and public criticism from Charles Barkley. Elsewhere, the U.S. Open starts today, the Pacers took a 2-1 series lead over the Thunder, and an anonymous player poll named Juan Soto the hitter pitchers least want to face in a World Series Game 7. Hour 2 Howard Stern believes sportscasters should normalize saying "penis" on air. In basketball, Kyrie Irving defended Karl-Anthony Towns from criticism as the Pacers surprisingly took a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals. Evan and Tiki debated the Knicks' situation, while the Yankees beat the Royals with a 5-run inning and an Aaron Judge homer. Marcus Stroman made a rehab start, and the Mets shut out the Nationals thanks to two Brandon Nimmo home runs and a complete game from David Peterson, though Pete Alonso getting hit angered Ron Darling. Finally, Mike Tannenbaum predicted Aaron Rodgers would be irrelevant by Thanksgiving, and Rodgers recently got married privately. Hour 3 Both the Yankees and Mets are hot, building excitement for potential September playoff pushes; the Yankees' post-Juan Soto additions are thriving, while Mets pitching is so strong a caller doesn't want Sean Manaea back from injury. Boomer expects the Braves to heat up but notes Phillies' injuries. In other news, Kyrie Irving defended Karl-Anthony Towns on Twitch, leading to a discussion about "code switching" and whether New Jersey is a "tiny" state. The Yankees beat the Royals with an Aaron Judge homer, and the Mets shut out the Nationals thanks to a David Peterson complete game and two Brandon Nimmo home runs, though Pete Alonso getting hit again angered Ron Darling. Hour 4 The Knicks are still searching for a new head coach, with speculation about player input during exit interviews. A new "Roommates" podcast is due today. Jerry's final update included the Pacers' 2-1 lead over the Thunder, the Yankees' victory over the Royals (5 runs in the second), and the Mets' shutout of the Nationals, featuring a David Peterson complete game and homers from Juan Soto and Brandon Nimmo. Joe Flacco found it hard to believe adults use TikTok. The "Moment of The Day" was a funny caller interaction with Jerry, and Boomer is out tomorrow for a Maryland quarterback event.
