Partners Stay. Here's what most agencies are still doing: Taking orders. Waiting for direction. Hoping results keep the client around. But when CMOs tighten budgets, they don't cut true strategic partners—they cut vendors and noise. In-house teams and AI are replacing basic production. Joey Coleman says it best: “Most clients don't leave because of price; they leave because they don't feel seen, heard, or supported in the first 100 days.” Remember that while agency teams get excited and start high-fiving each other once the deal closes, the client is sitting there thinking, “Did I just waste my budget?” That gap between your excitement and their anxiety is where trust is either built or destroyed. And it's true. Make Yourself Uncuttable You want to stay off the cut list? Lead. Own the relationship. Here's how: 1. Find Quick Wins Fast Don't wait six months to show value. Launch something in the first 30 days. Fix something they didn't even ask for. Send a Loom video explaining how you improved their funnel. Let them say, “These people move fast.” 2. Overcommunicate When Things Aren't Working Most agencies go quiet when results dip. Leaders say, “Here's what's happening, here's what we're changing, here's what to expect.” Transparency builds trust. 3. Be a Resource, Not a Responder Stop waiting for tasks. Show up with new hooks, funnel fixes, better angles. Be the call they make when anything breaks in their business, not just when they need a landing page. 4. Take Ownership, Not Orders Stop asking, “What do you want us to do next?” Start saying, “Here's what we're doing, and here's why.” That's how you shift from vendor to partner. 5. Productize and Simplify If it takes you 30 minutes to explain what you do, you're in trouble. Make your offer outcome-driven, simple, and memorable. Like the PR agency that said, “We turn publicity into pipeline.” That sticks. I know it is better for kids to grow up with everyone being open with him and his adoption so it feels like now is a good time to start.  But I am not sure how to that with an almost 3-year-old.  For context, we do not have any contact with the birth family. We send updates and pictures to the agency, but they have not expressed interest in having contact with us. This always seemed like an avenue to start that conversation (you have a birth family and an adoptive family). This suggests technology companies possess sufficient resources to directly address supply constraints through upstream investments if fuel security becomes a constraint to their operations.Supply-side constraints appear particularly acute given the limited number of producing jurisdictions. Five countries produce 90% of global uranium, with Kazakhstan accounting for approximately half of world production. Much of this flows to China and Russia, creating a "bifurcated market" where Western utilities face increasing competition for uranium supplies. As Liebenberg explains, "Kazakhstan, half their material goes to China. If you include Russia, it's probably closer to 2/3. Namibia, the two operating mines in Namibia are both owned by the Chinese that goes to China."Critical inventory depletion adds urgency to the supply situation. US utilities now hold approximately two years or less of uranium reserves against an 18-24 month fuel cycle, representing what Liebenberg characterizes as "the low point of their infantry." This follows nearly a decade of utilities contracting below consumption levels, a practice that cannot continue indefinitely. The eventual resumption of utility contracting represents a key catalyst for uranium price appreciation.Yellow Cake's strategic positioning provides multiple competitive advantages. The company's agreement with Kazatomprom allows $100 million annual uranium acquisitions at spot prices through 2027, providing assured access to supply in an increasingly thin market. As Liebenberg observes, "With the spot market today, you saw Sprott raise $200 million and the spot market popped $7 without them spending a penny. It's a very thin and liquid market. So $100 million volume will move the price."The company's track record demonstrates strategy effectiveness. Yellow Cake raised $200 million at IPO when uranium traded at $21 per pound and has grown to over $1.5 billion in market capitalization with uranium at $76 per pound. Liebenberg expresses confidence in continued appreciation: "I'm still of the belief that we could see a doubling in the uranium price. We're sort of partway through that journey."Government policy support for nuclear expansion, including the World Bank's decision to resume nuclear project funding and support from 14 major banks for tripling nuclear capacity, creates favorable regulatory tailwinds. In this final installment, we examine its costs: the accelerating resource demands of AI and other data-intensive technologies.  Maya Chari, this year's Ten Across + APM Research Lab data journalism fellow, recently investigated the true water and energy costs associated with data center facilities in the Phoenix metro area— now on track to become the second largest market in the U.S. Though granular industrial data can be difficult to come by, Maya located a report submitted by Microsoft to City of Goodyear officials, stating that one of their proposed data centers would use as much potable water each year as 670 homes. Amplified across the 140 other data centers currently dotting the state of Arizona alone, the scale of such consumption becomes clearer.  As data centers rapidly multiply in response to market demand around the world—often preferring arid places like the water-stressed U.S. Southwest—critical questions are pressed about whether and how such development can be sustained.    In back-to-back conversations in this episode, we'll hear from experts involved in managing and reducing the impact of the physical infrastructure behind our digitized lives.
