On this week's episode, we're joined by mama and singer Julie Mintz, whose path to her daughter Ophelia is nothing short of extraordinary. Decade-old frozen eggs, shocking lab errors, surrogacy setbacks, countless retrievals, and the discovery that she and her husband were both genetic carriers for the same disease. Then came HOPE in the form of one healthy embryo. One tiny maybe. At 47, she welcomed her baby Ophelia and turned her own miracle into a mission, offering financial support to help other families grow. It's a story that is at times harrowing and frustrating, and one that captures the real-world courage behind so many fertility journeys. In this profoundly moving and honest conversation, we sit down with Jeff Loving, a NICU dad, husband, and now an author, who shares the intimate and often unspoken grief experienced by fathers after pregnancy loss. Jeff walks us through the heartbreaking loss of his two sons, Davian and Jadon, the struggle to find empathy and appropriate medical care, and how these experiences ultimately led him and his wife, Cassie, to become fierce advocates for their future family. This episode is a raw look at marriage under immense stress, the importance of empathetic medical staff, and the redemptive joy of welcoming their "double rainbow" daughter, Isla Grace. Jeff also discusses his mission to help other men through their grief by writing his book, Holding Onto the Light. Key Discussion Points & Timestamps Time Topic Key Takeaway 00:06 Meet Jeff Loving: Husband, NICU Dad, and Author Jeff introduces his family, including his dog, Sage, his wife, Cassie, and their NICU "double rainbow" baby girl, Isla Grace, reflecting on five years of marriage and three pregnancies. 01:08 The Loss of Davian (First Pregnancy) Jeff describes the initial shock and excitement of their first pregnancy, the sudden onset of symptoms at 19 weeks, and the devastating choice they faced in the hospital due to an infection: lose the baby, or risk losing both the baby and his wife. 04:55 The Cruel Disconnect of Grief Jeff recounts the soul-crushing moment of holding his son, Davian, as his heartbeat stopped. He shares the struggle of navigating intense grief while the world—and Thanksgiving—kept moving around them. 07:58 Finding Support: The Power of Presence The discussion turns to how his family supported them by simply being present, rather than offering platitudes like "it's God's plan." The importance of showing up for grieving parents is highlighted. 11:21 Empathetic vs. Detached Care Jeff praises the nurses who were a "calming presence in the chaos" and later attended Davian's service. Conversely, he shares a painful anecdote about a male doctor's detached and jovial demeanor, asking if he wanted to cut the cord after the loss. 15:51 What Compassion Looks Like in Care Jeff shares what he wished the doctor had said: "I know this is very hard... just know that my heart breaks for you, and I'm so sorry that you guys are going through this." This is a vital lesson for medical professionals. 16:55 Marriage Under Stress After moving to North Carolina for a fresh start, Jeff discusses how the loss put their marriage under extreme stress—it would either break them or bond them deeper. They emerged stronger. 23:13 The Loss of Jadon (The Second Pregnancy) The traumatic situation repeats almost day-for-day with their second son, Jadon. Jeff details the medical system's failure to provide a cerclage procedure, despite repeated requests, and the resulting emergency. 26:45 The Audacity of Poor Communication Jeff recounts being livid when the doctor who denied them the preventive cerclage entered the room without him present to tell his wife they were losing their baby, and then left without speaking to Jeff. 34:20 The Blessing of Angel the Bereavement Coordinator Jeff shares the incredible support they received from their bereavement coordinator, Angel, who handled every detail from handprints to selecting clothes, even providing a moment of much-needed humor when she accidentally gave Jadon a hilarious nickname. 36:02 Remembrance Toys: Dino Dave and Jucletus The significance of tangible remembrance items, like a weighted dinosaur (Dino Dave) and a heartbeat bear (Jucletus), that allow Isla to connect with her "big brothers." 39:18 "This is Our Double Rainbow Child" Jeff discusses the difficulty of answering "Is this your first?" as a parent of loss, and how he now confidently speaks of Isla as their "double rainbow child." 42:03 A Resource for Fathers of Loss Jeff explains his motivation for writing his book, Holding Onto the Light: A Father's Journey Through Loss and Healing. He notes the lack of resources for grieving men and how he encapsulated real stories into a fictional narrative to help them feel seen and heard. 46:05 The Defining Moment The most powerful feedback: a man who hadn't read a book in a decade finally read Jeff's book after losing his son. 48:52 Where to Find the Book and Connect Jeff shares his book title, where to buy it, and the dedicated email address to build a community of grieving fathers. Action Items & Connect with Jeff Read Jeff's Book: Title: Holding Onto the Light: A Father's Journey Through Loss and Healing Author: J. S. Loving Available: On Amazon (print and Kindle Unlimited). Resource-Based Marketing: Choosing the Right Strategy for the Practice You Have Today In this solo episode, Kevin breaks down one of the most important — and most misunderstood — principles in building a thriving cash-based practice: resource-based marketing. Instead of chasing every shiny strategy, Kevin explains why the best marketing plan is the one that aligns with the resources you actually have in abundance right now — whether that's time, money, relationships, or skill set. Using real client examples, Kevin shows how two practice owners with completely different resources require completely different marketing approaches — and how choosing the wrong strategy leads to frustration, wasted money, and inconsistent caseloads. You'll learn how your resources evolve over time, why your marketing must shift as your business grows, and how to avoid the classic roller-coaster of feast-and-famine patient volume. In This Episode, You'll Learn: Why there is no one-size-fits-all marketing strategy for healthcare practice owners How to identify whether you're time-rich, relationship-rich, financially-rich, or skill-set-rich Why some practitioners build full caseloads without ever spending a dollar on ads When Facebook ads, PPC, and paid strategies actually make sense — and when they're a terrible idea The hidden danger of relying on time-heavy strategies as your practice grows How to evolve from time & energy marketing to financial & systems marketing as your caseload expands Who This Episode Is For: Practice owners who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or unclear about which marketing strategy will actually produce consistent results — and who want a principle-based approach instead of cookie-cutter tactics. Mining Stock Daily welcomes back Jay Martin, CEO of Cambridge House and host of the Vancouver Resource Investment Conference (VRIC). Martin describes the current gold market as a "most textbook bull market", noting the methodical trickle of capital from hard assets to large-cap equities and now toward funded developers and early-stage companies with world-class assets. The conversation delves into the macro drivers, particularly the fact that the United States government took in record tariff revenue in October but still ran the highest October budget deficit on record, underscoring a continuous spending problem. In the second segment, MSD Correspondent Michael McCrae sits down with David Garofalo, CEO of Gold Royalty. Garofalo details how Gold Royalty has rapidly expanded from 18 royalties at its inception to over 250 today, highlighting its superior growth profile in the royalty universe and focus on low-risk jurisdictions like Nevada, Quebec, and Ontario. The conversation addresses the landmark transaction where the stablecoin company Tether bought an 8% stake in Gold Royalty, which Garofalo views as bringing a new pool of capital into the sector, seeking diversification from U.S. treasuries into hard assets. He also offers insights into the gold sector's future, calling gold a currency driven by the debasement of fiat currencies and predicting continued M&A among producers due to a decade-long decline in reserves. She is a psychologist, trauma expert, and author of the new book, Post-Traumatic Parenting: Break the Cycle, Become the Parent You Always Wanted to Be.In this episode, we discuss:You open your book by saying, ‘It's not you, it's your trauma.' That feels like both a relief and a challenge. Can you unpack that for parents and caregivers who blame themselves for every misstep in their parenting? When you use the term post-traumatic parent, what do you mean? How does that differ from saying ‘parent with trauma' or ‘healed parent'?Many caregivers feel haunted by an internal guilt that says, “How can I give what I never received?” How can parents or caregivers move from guilt to agency—without glossing over the pain? What are the 5 post-traumatic parenting defaults you identify in your book? What do they look like in real-life moments of parenting? How does a parent choose not to opt into those old trauma-driven defaults (e.g., yelling, withdrawal, overcontrol) in the moment? The metaphor of trauma as an appWhat is the concept of cycle-breaking versus cycle-making, and how is it valuable for breaking those unhealthy parenting patterns? What are some practical applications of this post-traumatic parenting reframe? How can a parent create and maintain trauma-responsive routines or rituals that will increase a child's sense of felt safety, without being rigid or feeling like a bunch of rules they must follow?Support the showPlease leave us a rating or review. The company controls over 600 square kilometers of prospective ground and has secured financial runway through Q1 2027 following a $15 million equity financing and $8 million from selling its Detour East property to Agnico Eagle .The company's strategy prioritizes near-term value creation at Martinière while maintaining long-term optionality at the advanced-stage Fenelon deposit . Martinière has emerged as the primary catalyst, with 2025 drilling extending mineralization from 400 meters to 800 meters depth across a 2-kilometer strike length . Recent intercepts included 50 grams per tonne over 1.7 meters, with the company targeting expansion from the current 750,000-ounce resource to 2 million ounces by 2027—a threshold management considers economically compelling for partnerships or development .Fenelon represents a longer-term opportunity, with a March 2025 preliminary economic assessment outlining a 3,000 ton-per-day underground operation using ramp access, dry-stack tailings, and paste backfill . However, the required $50-60 million prefeasibility study cost—representing half the company's $100 million market cap—makes immediate advancement impractical . Instead, Wallbridge conducts limited metallurgical testing and desktop optimization while remaining open to joint venture partnerships .The Detour East sale exemplified disciplined capital allocation, eliminating future dilution risk and funding expanded Martinière drilling without requiring larger equity financings . Despite gold trading above $4,000 per ounce—up 40% in 2025—junior explorers have not participated meaningfully in the rally, though Penny expects capital to eventually rotate from cash-generating producers to quality exploration stories .With $31 million cash and a clear strategic roadmap, Wallbridge positions itself for multiple outcomes: continued independent development, strategic partnerships, or acquisition by larger producers seeking quality ounces in mining-friendly jurisdictions as the exploration cycle recoversView Wallbridge Mining's company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/wallbridge-miningSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com

GRANTED 6/16/2025 QUESTION PRESENTED: New Jersey's Attorney General served an investigatory subpoena on First Choice Women's Resource Centers, Inc., a faith-based pregnancy center, demanding that it turn over most of its donors' names. First Choice challenged the Subpoena under 42 U.S.C. 1983 in federal court, and the Attorney General filed a subsequent suit to enforce it in state court. The state court granted the Attorney General's motion to enforce the Subpoena but expressly did not decide First Choice's federal constitutional challenges. The Attorney General then moved in state court to sanction First Choice. Meanwhile, the district court held that First Choice's constitutional claims were not ripe in federal court. The Third Circuit affirmed in a divided per curiam decision. Judge Bibas would have held the action ripe as indistinguishable from . Americans for Prosperity Foundation v. Banta , 594 U.S. 595, 618-19 (2021). But the majority concluded First Choice's claims were not yet ripe because First Choice could litigate its constitutional claims in state court. In doing so, the majority followed the rule of the Fifth Circuit and split from the Ninth Circuit. It did not address the likely loss of a federal forum once the state court rules on the federal constitutional issues. The question presented is: Where the subject of a state investigatory demand has established a reasonably objective chill of its First Amendment rights, is a federal court in a first-filed action deprived of jurisdiction because those rights must be adjudicated in state court? Moss emphasizes that guano harvesting occurred under tragic human conditions, with Chinese indentured laborers frequently dying during extraction operations. Mossnotes that declining guano availability stimulated the invention of synthetic fertilizers by Haber and Bosch, catalyzing the emergence of intensive chemical agriculture. Moss documents that high-intensity chemical farming, despite enabling global food production, precipitated catastrophic declines in bird and insect populations, a phenomenon extensively documented in Rachel Carson's seminal work Silent Spring. 1880

Both biological parents had drug addiction. Bio mom was on a trial home visit, but used this as the reason our grandchild is with us. After the trial home visit ended, bio mom was still getting supervised visits 2x a week. After every visit, the little one was dysregulated and started biting and hitting the daycare kiddos and the provider, and would also act out towards us. She is only 15 months old. Both parents terminated their rights in May, and that is when I put a stop to the visits. We know bio mom was still using while having her supervised visits. I give weekly updates and photos to bio mom. But she keeps pushing for (in-person) visits, and I can't do visits, as I don't know if bio mom is clean or still using. She has had 13 years of using and has found loopholes in the system to keep seeing her other kids, when she doesn't have custody of them. Since we stopped visiting, my grandchild has become more stable and regulated and has stopped biting and hitting. Our caseworker has filed the adoption papers, and we will soon finalize the adoption. Bio mom is still using, and she tells me she is an alienated parent, and that I am keeping her from her child.
