Starting as a cold caller, he quickly realized the value of building genuine connections and earning referrals. This shift in focus, combined with a profound belief in the power of gratitude, led to Curtis co-authoring the national best-selling book, Appreciation Marketing® - How to Achieve Greatness Through Gratitude. The success of the book opened doors to a global stage, where Curtis had the privilege of educating teams worldwide on the profound impact of implementing an Appreciation Marketing® strategy. The message was clear: in a world driven by technology, personal connections are the true currency of life. Inspired by this philosophy, Curtis founded AMcards, a groundbreaking business tool designed to create, strengthen, and nurture relationships in a tech-savvy world. Since it's founding in 2015, Glitter & Spice (and Lorene herself) has won multiple awards for innovation and product safety, and has provided countless parents and infants with fashionable solutions to all of their teething and sensory development needs.   We talk about the symptoms of teething in infants that compel them to chew, and the difficulties in knowing how to soothe them while also not allowing them to chew on things that are unhealthy. We also talk about how brightly colored silicone beads provide a natural allure for an infant to chew on once they are finished nursing as an alternative to pulling hair or finding other things to put in their mouths.   We discuss Lorene's process of development for her teething products, and how her experience with her son's early teething and sensory needs drove it along. We talk about how reliable teething aids can help to encourage longer and less distracted nursing, especially in infants with sensory needs. We also talk some about Lorene's experiences in building her business while also being present for her kids and developing product based on their needs.   Finally, we talk about the different grades of silicone and what makes silicone ideal for teething products in terms of safety and durability. We talk about sensory needs in children, particularly with Autism or other developmental disorders that involve a need for tactile stimulation. We discuss how having an awareness of each child's individual needs and treating them as something entirely unique to the child in question will help both parent and child to have a smoother learning experience throughout the development journey.   To Learn More Visit: https://www.glitterandspice.ca/   For Any Questions, Email Us at media@birthcircle.com

Bettina became a mother for the first time at age 44, and since then has dedicated her life to coaching other women over 40 through limiting beliefs that keep them from starting their own journeys into motherhood. She is a huge advocate for over-40 motherhood, and through her coaching and writing, hopes to reshape some of the societal stigma around having babies at an older age.   We talk about the barrage of negativity and fear that a woman over 40 can run into when she decides to start a family. We discuss Bettina's experience of realizing how much stigma was involved in older motherhood, and her decision to write her book to encourage other older mothers. We also talk about some of the considerations an older mother should make in order to ensure that she is able to conceive and have a healthy pregnancy.   We talk about the data that is used to determine the success rate for pregnancy over 40 , where it comes from, and why statistics in this area tend to be inaccurate. We talk about cultural perceptions of what is "too old" to have a baby, and how those perceptions came about, as well as why they aren't necessarily true. We talk about menopause as the end of a woman's fertility, and how greatly the time frame for it varies, and how fertility prior to menopause shouldn't be a concern at any age if there are not any previously existing fertility issues.   Finally, we talk about other things to consider when thinking about the "best" age to have children, including how financial stability may affect maternal health, and how the experience and emotional maturity of an older mother may help better equip them after the baby is born. We quickly look over the main myths about older motherhood and debunk a few final concerns for any potential older mothers listening.   To Learn More Visit:  https://www.bettinagordon.com/joy For Any Questions, Email Us at media@birthcircle.com

She has been called a visionary in the field of medicine as a business, and she has touched the birth world both by attending births herself, and by helping others to offer the best possible birth care for their clients.   We talk about Midwifery as a field and birth as a business of necessity, as well as how the insurance industry complicates a birth provider's ability to be paid properly. We discuss how the reality of birth providers operating in-network, and how the demands and limitations can make birth more dangerous and less personal. We also talk about how providers are reimbursed by insurance networks for birth, and some of the reasons for the structure, as well as some of the benefits and downfalls of that structure for both the patient and the provider.   We discuss some of the reasons why more birth providers aren't leaving the network structure, and some of the fears holding them back from starting off into an out-of-network practice structure. We also talk about birth costs, and the ways that in-network providers have to calculate billing in order for the insurance to pay for it, and the ways that it can create problems for how providers are paid for prenatal and birth care.   Finally we talk about how billing works out-of-network, and why providers shouldn't be afraid to switch, as well as why patients shouldn't be afraid to go out-of-network. Jessica's work goes a long way in helping to provide wider access to the sort of inclusive and comprehensive education that is vital for health and safety at any stage of reproduction. We talk about how Jessica's journey to be knowledgeable about sexual and reproductive health for herself and her friends led her into the birth world and becoming a doula and reproductive health educator. We also talk about the inception of LOOM and the value of accessible reproductive education. We discuss the lack of resources for teen parents, and the ways in which teen parents are able to thrive when they have proper support and education.   We discuss, as a doula, supporting a wider variety of pregnancy and birth experiences than what most people consider the "usual" and how every birth is improved when the individual experience of the parents is acknowledged and uplifted, including their gender identity, family structure, supporting partner, and individual values. We also talk about what the curriculum of LOOM covers, starting with the very basics of what many people may not know about their body or their pregnancy and working up.   Finally we talk about the ways that LOOM supports birth partners, regardless of parental status. We talk about giving the partners or chosen family of the birthing person the resources that they need to give the proper support and to be an active part of the experience. We also talk about what it means to normalize the experience of childbirth and how doing so can reduce the amount of fear that people experience going into pregnancy and improve birth outcomes and the overall experience of living in our bodies.   To Learn More Visit:  http://loomhq.com For Any Questions, Email Us at media@birthcircle.com

We talk about the Changing Woman initiative, the meaning behind the name, and what the organization does for tribal communities in healing through birth and midwifery. We also talk about Marinah's induction to the birth world and what led her to what she believes is her life's calling. We discuss the historical course of midwifery being overtaken by obstetrics and the resulting loss of midwifery traditions in indigenous communities. We also touch on the different types of midwives, particularly in the Americas. We discuss cultural misalignment between birth providers and birthing people and the issues that can arise when people don't have access to birth providers from their own communities. We discuss the way that the current North American midwifery associations are still not doing much to uplift or encourage midwives of color, particularly in indigenous communities, and what needs to be done in order to help overcome the issue. We also talk about how governments shift blame to midwives for maternal mortality rates to avoid prioritizing maternal health. We talk about restoring traditional culture to midwifery in order to strengthen the practice as a whole, as well as some of the perceptions of midwives in our modern world and how the stigma makes it difficult for traditional midwifery to regain a foothold in society. We also discuss how all women regardless of cultural origin can reach back to reclaim their ancestral birthing traditions and restore life to their own communities without appropriating another culture's roots. Finally, we discuss the nuance of trying to determine one's own roots, especially when we are separated from our roots by adoption or other circumstance, and how to approach finding the traditions that are authentic to you. We discuss Adriana's call to birth work after her first birth experience made her realize that birth is a lot more complicated and messy than most people understand, and that it takes much more than a proactive brain to create a positive experience. We also talk about her journey to discovering how birth can be better approached to support the physiology of it and do so without fear so the body can do its job.   We talk about the process of shutting off the 'thinking' brain and learning to trust the instinctive brain during labor so that your body can carry out its natural process. We talk about the way that medical measurements (checking of dilation, etc…) can be a mental and emotional distraction from the natural process, and how to overcome that. We also talk about which things 'activate' the thinking brain and how knowing what might distract you gives you power.   We discuss some of the natural physiological reflexes that both the birthing person and the baby have that allows for birth to flow in a certain way. We also talk about the chemical responses that happen in birth to support the process of birth and aid the baby's vital responses during and after birth.  We discuss the ways that medical interventions might interfere with this process, but also how some natural birth moments can be recreated after the fact.   Finally, we briefly talk about Adriana's Venezuelan roots, and the way that birth has been over-medicalized in Latin America and the way it is affecting the birth culture in those areas. We talk about how education and availability of birth support in every birth space can help to improve birth outcomes in marginalized communities. Finally we talk about normalizing doula work and birth support for everyone so that advocacy for birth decisions can become the mainstream rather than the exception. We challenge new parents to become educated and empower their birth space to achieve this end. To Learn More Visit: http://www.nikialawson.com/ For Any Questions, Email Us at media@birthcircle.com

Fourteen years ago she took a journey toward adopting a child from the Los Angeles foster system as a single woman and she shares her experience and the insight she gained from it with us today. Our Digital Media Coordinator and Executive Assistant for Birth Circle, Erin, also joins us as a guest interviewer.  We talk to Nefertiti about her initial journey toward deciding to adopt, and what informed her decision on the specifics of what she wanted from the adoption. We also talk about the stigma she came up against in choosing to adopt outside of her own community, and the way informal adoption commonly works in communities of color.  We talk about the things that surprised Nefertiti about raising her children, particularly in regards to protecting them from racial bias at school. We then talk about how important it has been for her to have a community to rely on while raising her children.  Finally we talk about the image of what 'adoptive parents' are thought to look like, and how falling outside the 'norm' can be a deterrent for single parents and parents of color against adopting from the foster system. Nefertiti talks about her book and gives her advice for people preparing to navigate the system as she did. TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com HOW TO BUILD MORE CONFIDENCE- STEP #2- GETTING RID OF NEGATIVE THOUGHTS Hey guys welcome to Step #2 of how to build more confidence. Today I want to share with you some tips and tricks on how to get rid of negative thoughts. You know that little voice in your head that puts you down and tells you that you’re no good. That is a learned thought pattern that we adapt when we are growing up, but it sticks with us our entire life if we do not change them. Subconscious Mind, I first want to cover where do those thoughts come from. They come from your subconscious mind.. our conscious mind is the thinking, problem solving, everyday thinking mind. Our subconscious mind is the storage of our true beliefs. In order to get rid of negative self talk we must clear out the negativity in our subconscious mind. Napoleon Hill said in his book Think And Grow Rich, that we become what we think about. So if we are constantly thinking negative then our life become negative. Our goals are to remover negativity therefore building the life that we want. The power of affirmations, Affirmations is the only way of removing negative thoughts from our minds. An affirmation is repeating a set of positive phrases mixed with emotions, which in turn changes our subconscious minds. An example of this would be like saying I AM CONFIDENT, and I AM WINNER. What you want to do is to say positive things to yourself on every day multiple times a day until your subconscious mind accepts the new words as beliefs. Tony Robbins states that you get out of life what you focus on, if you focus on what you don’t have that’s all you will get. So our job is to constantly focus on what we want and not on what we don’t want. I do this every day myself because just like you I must train my mind to think positively. So congratulations on learning the 2nd step to becoming a more confident version of yourself.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com CONFIDENCE- YOUR LACK OF CONFIDENCE IS A STRENGTH I’m always talking about how to raise your self-confidence, and how important it is to your success. Today I came across a thought that I wanted to share with you. That is that your lack of confidence has many positives. Yes, I am going to share with you what the positives to a lack of confidence does for you and also I want to give a tip that you can use today to help you to be more confident in the eyes of others. First, I want to share with you the difference between confidence and being competent. Confidence is your belief in your self to be able to do a certain task, and competence is your knowledge or ability to do it. Once that is understood we can talk about how your lack of confidence is strength. I remember when I was in school in biology class ill never forget I was very confident in my test taking skills which made me not study enough, in the other hand a classmate of mines was not confident so she over studied. While I was hanging out with friends because I was confident I was going to do well (no competence) my classmate was at home studying (competence). She ended up with an A and I ended up with a C. moral of the story is that you lack of confidence can help you to seek answers and to work harder towards something. I also want to share with you a tip that you can start using today that will make others believe you are confident even if you are not. Perception is reality even if we hate to admit it, but it is the truth. Fake it until you make it, is the best way to make people think you are confident. The best thing you can do right now is to act like the person that you want t be, therefore; you become it. People only see what you show, so if your shy but act outgoing you will be labeled an outgoing and confident person.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com HOW TO DEVELOP CONFIDENT BODY LANGUAGE-9 THINGS TO AVOID Hey guys, I want to talk to you about a very important topic and that is Body Language. 93% of communication is body language and only 7 percent is what you actually say. With that being understood one can see how understanding our body language can be so important. I want to share with you 9 body language habits to avoid. 1. Crossing arms- when you are speaking to someone in public or anywhere for that matter be aware that you do not fold your arms. This implies that you are not approachable or are uncomfortable. Instead be open keep your arms at your side. 2. Fidgeting- fidgeting is a characteristic of a person that is not confortable in the situation. Fidgeting is described as body movement without purpose, this can be when you are talking to people trying not to move. Stand still and be aware of your arms and feet. 3. Looking down- looking down is a beta male characteristic. It is seen as a sign of weakness and lack of confidence. Keep your head up, and expose your neck. This will give you a confident look. 4. Posture- when you sit or stand be aware of your posture. Your posture says a lot about your confidence. Keep your shoulder back, head up and expose you neck. 5. Tense- A confident person is always relaxed. When you go about your day keep that in mind. Relax your arms when you walk, and let your shoulder drop. 6. Walk fast- do not walk fast, this is a characteristic of a beta male. An alpha male or female is not in a rush for anyone. Walk at your own pace and have people match your walking speed not you theirs. 7. Rub yourself- when you rub your self it means you are telling your self its going to be okay. Woman has the hardest time doing this because it is a habit. It means you are not comfortable. 8. Cover genital area- covering up the front of your body period is a sign that you are not comfortable. Don’t cover your genital area when you stand (men), and do not cover your chest or stomach area with a hat or purse it shows weakness. 9. Wimpy/ blaming gestures (shoulder shrug)- palms up and shoulder shrug means you don’t know something and don’t care to find out what it is. Palms up is a sign up submission, alphas do not do this gesture. If your goals are to have a strong appeal to your self, be aware of you body language. This will give you strength in any situation of your life.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com WHY AM I SO SHY, THE ROOT OF ALL EVIL Hey guys, Randy Arias here. Today I want to talk to you about, where does shyness come from? A lot of us are dealing with shyness and lack of self-confidence and lack of self-esteem and anxieties. But we don’t know where any of that even came from. So I want to share with you the top five places that we acquired our shyness from. And so I’m going to share them with you now and then I’m going to break them down really quick. Society has made us to become who we are. So that’s why we’re shy. Our parents, school teachers, and the media. Also, some of us are born hyper sensitive and so that’s the fifth one. Now let’s talk about each one separately. First, Society is constantly telling us to go with the flow, to follow the leader. To not get in trouble, and so by doing that we lose our self-identity. And so we start to become someone we’re not, hence we become shy. So that’s the biggest reason with society that while we’re shy. Secondly, it’s your parents. When you were born you were not shy. You weren’t born into the world shy. You didn’t know what to be shy about. So if you look at a kid or a child, you would see that they’re actually very happy, very upbeat, there’s nothing that could bring them down. They are hyper; they are very excited because they have no limits to their lives. And so from there as a parent we tell our kids don’t do this, don’t do that, act like a grown up. Now what does that mean, act like a grown up? Act sad and miserable, exactly. And so that’s why our parents without even meaning to make us shy. They make us, not confident in ourselves because they start to kill it little by little. So that’s number two. Thirdly, I’m sure when you were in middle school some of the kids made fun of you. It happens to every one of us. And so that’s a big thing guys. When you are in middle school or high school or just school period, you look at your teacher as the person with authority. And what are they always telling you, rules. Don’t do this, don’t do that. And then when you are a little different, some of the kids make fun of you. So you, in order to avoid that, you become someone different. You do things differently to fit in. And so again you lose your identity. So that was, that’s another one. Fourth, of course mass media. The media is huge. If you watch TV, it’s constantly telling you how to live, how to think, what to drive, what to eat. And so, for example, it’s always talking about losing weight, losing weight, losing weight, right. And so what does that tell you? That if you’re overweight, you’re different. And so if you’re an overweight person watching the TV telling you this, now you start to become self-conscious. Now you start to believe that there’s something wrong with you. And so there starts to drop your self-esteem, your self-confidence and so that’s how it hurts us guys. Fifth, is being hyper sensitive. You know some of us are just born sensitive. Doesn’t mean that you’re shy, just means that you’re sensitive to stimuli, to different things that happen. And so those people are actually more likely to deal with shyness, or those feelings. And so even if that’s your case, it’s not a big deal because the great thing about shyness and confidence is that we can actually change it. Alright I’m going to be sharing some more of that in other videos. But just to know that this is where your shyness came from, you were not born shy. You were not born with low self-esteem or low self-confidence. It was something that was taught to you but it’s not real because it’s just things that people have been telling you, or the media, your parents, kids in middle school. Where are those kids now? Exactly, they don’t exist, they are somewhere in life. And so I just want to leave you with that. Hopefully once you understand where it comes from, it can help you to overcome those struggles.

Randy Arias Confidence Podcast

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com CONFIDENCE- WAS I BORN SHY Today I have a pretty cool topic to share with you, and that is a myth that has been thrown around by almost everyone that I know, and that is the shy gene. In my previous video I shared with you the five ways that we acquire, low self-confidence, low self-esteem and where shyness comes from. And so nowhere in there was there a shy gene because that doesn’t exist and so I want to debunk this myth. So what I’m trying to tell you is that it’s not true. You were not born with a shy gene. You acquired shyness from your parents, your school, all of those different things that we talked about in the previous video, but it is not true. But what happens is that, when you tell yourself that you’re shy, you’re basically doing an affirmation. For most of you that don’t know what an affirmation is, it’s basically what you tell yourself over and over and over and over and then you actually begin to believe it. Now the thing about affirmations is that it can be used for positive and for negative. If you tell yourself, I am confident. I am confident. I am confident, and you just say that a lot throughout the day, you actually begin to believe it. Once you believe it, it becomes who you are. So biggest lesson that I could tell you today is that, in order to change your beliefs, the only way to do that is through affirmations, through affirmations, we can change the way that we think. So instead of telling yourself, ‘I am shy’, you want to tell yourself, ‘I am confident. I am confident. I believe in myself. I am a winner.’ You say those throughout the day, and it’s not going to happen in one day, but if you do this every single day, and replace the negative affirmations that you’ve been telling yourself, with that positive one, you will begin to change your mindset, your belief system. So I want you to think about for a moment when you say, ‘I am shy’. If you think about what happens physiologically, you become like, ‘I am shy. I am shy,’ like you drop. Your confidence drops. Your physicality drops. You at that moment cannot be productive because our mind controls our body, our emotions, everything. So when you limit yourself by saying a negative statement, you have depleted not just your mind but your physicality. You can’t run faster when you say a negative thing to yourself, but then try this, tell yourself, ‘I am confident. I am confident. I believe in me. I am a winner.’ You will see yourself physically believe it more. You will have the physicality straight. You will puff your chest out. You will become more confident in that moment and you could actually, if you wanted to, run faster and do things better because you just changed your physicality and your mindset to be confident, to be alive, to believe in yourself. And so the biggest take away from this video is, be careful what you tell yourself. The bible says, ‘life and death is in the tongue.’ So be careful what you tell yourself because with the words that you tell yourselves becomes your belief, your subconscious minds adapted. So your belief adapts it and then you become what you say. If you think about it for a moment, think about your everyday thoughts and ideas of yourself. That’s basically a total sum of your life. If you’re not confident it’s because you tell yourself you’re not confident. If you’re not organized because you tell yourself you’re not organized. But if you’re good at something, think about those thoughts that you put towards that. You probably tell yourself positive things. ‘Oh, I’m good at this,’ or ‘I’m good at that,’ and so you must learn to mess with…hack your brain. to help you to do what you want it to do. So I’ll leave you with that. There is no shy gene. You were not born shy. You are a winner and you must act, and tell yourself that every single day.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com HOW TO BUILD CONFIDENCE -STEP 1 Hey guys, I am excited to share with you the first step to building your self-confidence. The first steps consist of 3 main concepts that we must understand so that we can use to our advantage. The 3 main concepts are: understand that you are special, don’t let peoples opinion become your reality, and hangout with people that empower you. • Understand that you are special, if you are alive that means that you are specials. You are 1 out of 40 million-1.2 billion sperm cells; the fact that you are here is already a miracle. We are all born with a purpose mine is to share messages like this with people, your may be something different. • Don't let people’s opinions become your reality, we grow up being told to fit in and not be different and in the process we lose our self. Peoples opinions have been adapted by society and the media, and they feel like anything different than what their use to seeing means is not good enough. • Hangout with people that empower you. You become who you hangout with. If you surround yourself with people that make you feel good about yourself, your self-confidence will grow faster than you can imagine. I remember a buddy of mines that lacked confidence and were very shy, started to hangout with me a lot, and anytime he would take action on talking to people I would praise him with complements. He did not know I was doing this but every time he did something social I would give him great feedback. I blew it up no matter how insignificant, this made him want to continue to improve himself. One thing led to the next in less than 1 month he was a completely different person.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com HOW TO BE MORE CONFIDENT- FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS In this video I cover how following your dreams in a great way to boost your self-confidence. We often grow up doing what others tell us to do and following the leader therefore we lose our identity. I always hear when people say that they don’t know what their passion is, and the reason for that is because we lose ourselves with all the social conditioning while growing up. In your daily life there is something that you like to do , which is probably what you spend most of your leisure time doing. Maybe it’s a hobby, whatever it is, that is what your passion is. So now your job is to figure out how to get paid to do just exactly that. Many people go into professions that they think are good because of job security or maybe the pay is good, without ever thinking if they will like what they do. I have actually done this in my own life, and I can tell your first hand you will regret it. My life changed when I made a decision to follow my dreams, and because I did, my self-confidence grew exponentially. Our self esteem drops every time we do not do what we want to do, keep in mind that anytime you don’t listen to that little voice in your head that tells you what to do, your self esteem drop with it. Above all by following what you are passionate about you will naturally raise your self-confidence. Finding your identity and being true to your self is one of the best things you can do to raise your self-confidence. Success is inevitable when you do what god put you here to do, and deep inside your already know what that is.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com CONFIDENCE- BREAKING OUT OF YOUR SHELL I want to share with you a topic that is going to help you to build your confidence. Alright, I’m going to give you the first tip, and that is, there is a first time for everything. There is a first time, when you’re going to start talking to people. You’re going to come out of your shell. You might say the first word and it may not come out the right way. You may feel awkward. You may feel unsure. You may feel that you said something stupid. You’re going to think it because that’s what it’s going to be and so what I want to share with you, is that the first time is going to be the hardest. But the good news is, the more that we do something, the better we become. So when you first start talking to people, when you start coming out of your shell, just remember that. Know that the first times are going to be hard. It’s not going to happen overnight. It’s not. If you’re coming from a place of, very, very shy, it’s going to take time. So I want you to understand that, that is going to happen and just accept it and learn from it. That’s the key. Learn, don’t let it kick you back, instead learn, move forward and take it as a learning lesson. Also it does get easier. The more that we start talking to people, the more we start getting out there, the more we start being social, it’s going to get easier. Now I want you to tell yourself affirmations. When you talk to people, when you’re out and about, ‘I’m confident. I’m confident. I am confident. Anyone will love to talk to me. I am likeable. I am a winner.’ You need to constantly tell yourself these things, because when you say that, you start to believe it. Your subconscious mind adapts it and so you start to act it. So that’s the number one step I want to share with you, and that is to be empowered. Talk to people. Start talking even if it’s just a few words, work yourself up okay. Work yourself up until you lose the fear of just talking to people on some ‘hello’ and ‘bye’ stuff. It doesn’t have to be a long conversation, just a quick ‘hello, hey how are you? Oh, good morning.’ ‘Hey, have a good day.’ ‘Oh that’s a nice chair.’ ‘Nice purse,’ just say something that breaks the ice, breaks the shield that you’ve been holding on to for so long. And just remember that it’s not going to be easy. It’s not going to be…not the first time anyways, not the first couple times but the more you do it, the more positive feedback you’re going to get because people are not mean. People are not out there trying to say mean things to you and I know maybe the TV tells you that or your experiences from when you were in school, tell you that but that’s not how people are in the grown up world. I mean it’s really not. When you say ‘hi’ to people, they like that. They’re going to respond with a smile, and they’re going to say ‘hi’ back, and then boom, you broke the cycle. You are moving forward. You are getting closer to your goal. Whenever you do feel you made a mistake, I want you to just learn from it. Take it like a learning curve, because that’s really, what we’re going to be going through. So that’s a big one right there. Your experience, you must talk to people just by saying ‘hello.’ So that’s the first things that we must do to just get there, and just know that it’s not easy. Know that it’s going to be hard at first but it’s going to get easier with time.

The imporance of confidence

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com THE IMPORTANCE OF CONFIDENCE Hey guys, Randy Arias here, today I want to talk to you about the importance of self-confidence. You know guys a lot can be said about self-confidence, but in my opinion, some of the most important reasons to be a confident person, and to strive to be more confident is that it applies to every part of our lives. If you think about any successful person you could think of at this moment. Think about their confidence level. Most, if not all, successful people of America are very, very confident in what it is that they’re doing or whatever it is that they’re confident about. You will never meet a CEO of any Fortune 500 Company that lacked confidence. If you think about what they do on a daily basis, they deal with people, they do conferences, they talk… they do public speaking engagements. They are constantly being exposed to society and they have to perform, right. The only way one can be successful in that perspective is to be confident in yourself because if you’re not, then how can you ever do anything like that? Another huge example of self-confidence and how it can help you is, in the dating world I’ve been told by hundreds of women that the most important trait that any man can have is confidence. Confidence outweighs physicality by a hundred percent. You could be the best looking guy or girl in the world, if your confidence is low, that’s going to reflect in your body language. That’s going to reflect in the way you speak. That’s going to reflect in the way you act and that’s a turn off for the opposite sex. May be not so much for women but for men. A man that is not confident is a big turn off to women. So if you’re a guy, that is a big key and reason why you should build your confidence. If you ever want to follow your dreams, if you ever want to take the leap of faith, if you ever want to become the person you were put on this earth to be, you require confidence. Confidence is the difference between taking action or not. Its huge, confidence is everything in life guys. I can only tell you how I think about it but research states that if you are confident, you are more successful. And as far as I’m concerned, everybody wants to be successful. Successful in dating, successful in jobs and careers, successful in relationships, successful in every part of life. I mean that’s what we’re here to do. And only through successes are we happy. So success and self-confidence have a complete correlation which equals happiness. And so those are just some of the things that having self-confidence will do for you and why we should be striving to be more confident every single day, so I commend you for watching these videos. You are doing the right thing. Just understand that confidence is by far one of the biggest and best traits that you could have as a human being.

What is confidence

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com WHAT IS CONFIDENCE Hey guys, Today I want to talk to you about, what is confidence? I’ve actually had a lot of people email me asking me to make a video on what is confidence. So I want to share that with you exactly that. Confidence is your belief about being able to accomplish something. So you may think that you’re not good at Math, therefore; you’re not confident in your skill of Math. However, you may be confident in reading, so your belief that you’re a good reader makes you confident. So that’s basically the concept of it guys. So what is confidence? It’s your belief that you can accomplish a certain goal. Now you may not know how to do the thing that you are going to do, but you have the belief, you have confidence, even though you don’t know how to do it. So you don’t have to know and we are going to talk about this but you don’t have to know how to do something to have confidence in it. That’s called Competence. Competence is defined as knowing the skill that you are about to perform. You either know how to do the specific task or not. Shyness for example, it is not a way of being; it is a way of thinking. So it’s a behavioral mode, it is not an adjective that describes a person. If you behave shy, it doesn’t necessarily describe who you are it only describes your actions. So with that being understood, I want to share some other cool topics with you. What confidence is not: It is not arrogance. Arrogance is the macho men type of personality, that’s not what we do. Confidence comes from within. It’s something that comes from inside. You don’t have to say I’m confident, people just know that you are. Now back to the competence and incompetence topic. I want to share with you how this works. When you’re competent in something, it means that you know how to do the specific task. So for example, it is the ability to do something, and confidence is your belief about being able to do the task at hand. Now there’s something, such thing as confidence without competence. Which means that you have confidence that you can build the car but you don’t know anything about cars, so that doesn’t help you. Then there is competence without confidence, which means you know how to fix the car but you don’t believe that you can do it. So you know how to do it but you don’t believe you can do it, that’s another level. What is confidence? Confidence is your belief about something. Competence is the skill that you know how to do it or not. With that I leave you guys, so now you know what confidence is and also what is competence. Our goal here is to combine the two and that is when the magic happens.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com HOW TO BE MORE CONFIDENT, SETTING GOALS Hey guys, this is Randy Arias, and today I want to share with you how to set goals. Now the purpose why we’re making this goal video is because in order to become more confident in yourself and to make confident decisions and to be decisive and all these different qualities that a confident person has, you must have goals. You must know who you want to be and how you’re going to do it and what you want out of life. You just have to know. If you don’t know that, how can you possibly ever be confident in doing anything in life? Make sense? And so just so you guys know, my passion is self-development. My passion and what I spend my time doing is reading books on self-confidence and goal setting and how to become a better person. And so I’m going to be sharing with you what I have learnt in over hundreds of books on this topic. So this is very valuable knowledge that I’m about to give you. It is very simple, yet very powerful. And so the first thing that I want you guys to do with your goal is to write what it is that you want. The first thing on the first line should be what it is that you want. And by that I mean what do you want out of life? Who do you want to be? If you want to be more confident, that could be a goal. I want to be more confident, alright, it’s got to be specific. So if you want to be more confident in social places. I want to be more confident at school. Or I want to be more confident with people. Like make it as specific as you possibly can think, that’s number one. Then I want you guys to, give yourself a time frame for achieving your goal. So whatever goal you set, you want to give it a time frame. So let’s say for example your goal is to become more confident. Well I want to be able to talk, this is the next line. I want to be able to talk to people without feeling scared in three months’ time. So in three months’ time, I will be able to talk to people without being afraid. Now, so you gave yourself a time frame, you see it’s a three month time. So now you have three months to work on that. So you are going to go out there, you are going to talk to people and so you are going to build yourself. So that in three months, you’re going to lose that fear. Now, the third step, that’s number two. The third step is write down the reasons why this is important to you. How is being able to talk to people without being afraid going to help your life. How is it going to benefit you? You must have strong reasons why this is important to you. Number four is, what are you willing to give to achieve this goal. So what does that mean? It means that there is no such thing as something for nothing. Let’s say, there’s no way you can become confident without talking to people right. And so you must write down that you’re willing to give, the effort to achieve your goal. You’re willing to give time. You’re willing to give money even. You’re willing to give, emotion into achieving your goal. You’re willing to put something in order to achieve it because it’s not just going to happen. It takes action, it has a process. You have to go out there and do it. And so you have to write down that you’re willing to do this for your goals. And number five is one of the most important. Is what are the reasons that are going to keep you going when you feel like giving up. Number five is very powerful. We…if for whatever reason you go out there, you talk to people and it doesn’t go well for whatever reason alright. What’s going to keep you going? What’s going to make you not give up? What’s going to make you not quit on this goal that we have set? And I’m going to give you some examples; it could be something like you’re tired of being shy. You’re tired of not being successful because of your shyness. You’re tired of not achieving your goals because you are afraid to take the leap. So a little pain is nothing compared to the reward. So you must write that down and it must be emotionally touching to you personally. And that’s the fifth step guys. That’s how you set your goals. So you set what you want specifically, then you give it a time frame. So you guys now know how to set a goal. Now the next thing that I need you to do is to read your goals first thing in the morning and then last thing at night. So before bed and first thing in the morning is when you are going to read your goals. And when you are reading it what you are going to do is visualize yourself doing the thing that you wrote and see it, positively see it like it’s happening. Like if you imagine yourself talking to people, make sure you think that it’s going well. That you see yourself succeeding at the goal that you set. And so that’s going to make it emotional for you. And it’s going to send it out into infinite intelligence. And then infinite intelligence by the law of attraction will bring it on to you. That’s the trick with the law of attraction. You’re basically sending it out through the world, with your mind, with your emotions. And then the world will bring it on to you. Alright guys I know it’s a little deep but it’s the truth and it’s the way it works. So the biggest thing about setting goals is actually reviewing it every single day. It’s not about just writing it out and throwing it on the table somewhere. It’s about writing it out and reviewing it first thing in the morning, first thing at night. So it’s a conscious mental picture you constantly have in your head and then you’re sending it on to the world and the world will make it happen for you. So again guys that’s how you set your goals. This is the first way, the first thing you must do to achieve your goals of becoming confident.

How to make confident decisions

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com HOW TO MAKE CONFIDENT DECISIONS Today I want to share with you a trick that I do, to make confident decisions. All throughout my life, I’ve always had trouble making decisions, and that’s because I lacked the confidence that whatever decision I was going to make was the right one. In life, there are so many options. Like career paths, you could be an Engineer or you could be the President of The United States or you could be a Doctor. I mean, there are so many options out there. Same thing with jobs, what job do you choose? How do you know where to work? Do you work at the factory or do you work at McDonald’s or do you work at some business place? There are so many options in life. It is hard, it really is and trust me, I deal with it all the time, but I found a simple trick that has helped me to make the decisions confidently, knowing that this is going to be it no matter what. So I want to share that with you. It is basically your goals. Before you can make the right decisions in life, you must have set goals, and by goals I mean, what is it that you want out of life. Who do you want to be? Basically because, not what you want to be, but who do you want to be? Who do you want to be as a person? Who do you want to be as a professional? Who do you want to be as a human being? What are your goals? You must have a detailed goal of who you want to be, and where you want to go in life. So once you decide what you want to be or who you want to be, then this is how you do it. When you’re faced with the decision, what you’re going to do is, look at your goals, and then look at the question at hand, and what you’re going to do is ask yourself this question. Is doing this going to take me to my goal or take me away from my goals? If the answer is away from your goals, you don’t do that. If this moves you toward your goals, that’s what you do. That I have found to be the most effective way to make decisions, because you’ve got to think about this. A lot of people, they create a life around, what’s already happening, but instead why don’t you create a life, around the one thing that you want. If what you want in life is time with your family, friends and all of that. Whatever you do in life, whatever decisions you make, must be toward this. In other words, if your goal is to have more time with your family, you don’t go and get yourself a job where you work sixty hours a week. That’s not conducive to your goal. So instead you must find a way to work somehow, where you have more time with your family, because this is your goal. So that’s just an example, so you could understand what I’m trying to say. For example, if your goal is to lose weight. When it comes down to eating, you have a choice. Do you eat this, or do you eat that? So that you could come back to your goal, my goal is to lose weight, so if I eat this, that’s going to take me away from my goal, but if I eat this, it’s going to move me toward my goals. For our purposes of confidence, a good way to do it is with the things that you tell yourself. If I tell myself this, it’s going to move me away from my goals, but if I tell myself, I’m positive. I’m good-looking. I love my life. I am confident.’ If I tell myself those things, it’s going to move me toward my goals. So that’s how you make decisions confidently. With the confidence that you know you made the right decision because above all, no matter what you’re doing in life, it’s all about what you’re trying to achieve, your one goal. That’s why you must have defined goals, of what it is that you want. Who do you want to be? A lot of people don’t do that. They don’t set their goals, and it hurts them, because then when it comes down to making a decision, they can’t make one. So with that I leave you.

TO LEARN MORE VISIT: http://www.randyarias.com CONFIDENCE IS A SKILL Hey Guys, Randy Arias here, and today I want to talk to you about confidence being a skill and let me explain what a skill is. A skill is something that you learn. It’s not something you’re born with. Some people have talent, natural talent. Some people have skill. A skill is something that you gain from practice and practice and practice for over a long time and it becomes something you’re good at. If you play baseball for example, and you couldn’t hit the ball the first time but you tried and you tried and you tried, day after day, week after week. You actually get to a point where you can hit the ball, and if you keep going and going and going. You’re going to be able to hit a homerun eventually right. Same thing, so a skill, something you can learn through practice. And so I want to tell you a little bit of my scenario of something that I’ve encountered in my life and that is that, I’ve had over twenty jobs in my life. I’ve been working since I was fifteen. I’m twenty-six right now. So I’ve had a lot of jobs because I never kept them. So I’m not proud of it but what I am proud about is actually getting the job. So what does that mean? It means that throughout the years of getting different jobs, I became really, really good at getting the job. The interview process, and see that gives me an advantage over the competition. And so my confidence level when it comes to getting the job at the interview is a lot higher than someone that hasn’t had the experience that I’ve had, in the sense of getting the job. Because here’s the thing, in school they teach you, how to get the job. What to say, what not to say right. What to put in your resume and all that stuff but they don’t teach you how to talk to people. They don’t teach you verbal skills. They don’t teach you eye contact. They don’t teach you confidence. They don’t teach you that. That’s something that you have to learn as a person and I’m going to tell you something, because I’ve been a manager. People hire employees that have great communicational skills. So that is the number one thing that you should be working on if you want to get the job. But anyways that’s another topic. Back to the skills, the point that I’m trying to get at is that because I had so many jobs in my life, I got really good at getting jobs. I got really good at being hired; at acing the interview basically. And so when I go into a job interview, now, there are always other people that are going to interview with you at the same time. I have such a confidence in myself that I know I’m going to get the job over anyone here because I know for a fact that the things that are going to come out of their mouth are not going to be confident. They’re going to be scripted. They’re going to be things that the interviewer has heard before and what I’m going to bring is passion. I’m going to bring commitment. I’m going to bring that knowledge of what I know they want to hear with the enthusiasm that’s going to get me the job. Now relating that to what you want to achieve. In order to get good at anything in life as far as confidence, if you want to get good at talking to girls or you want to get good at public speaking. The best way to go about it, is to practice it. To just do it over and over and over and over again until it becomes easy. Once it becomes easy you then build a competence in that skill. And through practice you become better and better and better.
