www.patreon.com/dopeypodcast  listen without ads! This week on Dopey! A heavy, emotional holiday episode of Dopey that moves between chaos, grief, recovery, dark humor, and connection. Dave opens with a raw, chaotic song about cocaine, crack, and wanting relief, then sets the tone for a brutal week shaped by multiple tragedies — including the shocking deaths of Rob and Michelle Reiner and the arrest of their son Nick Reiner, a former Dopey guest. The episode includes sponsor reads, listener Christmas messages, and reflections on sticking together in recovery when the world feels overwhelming. Dave reads Spotify comments, emails, and shares messages from the Dopey Nation, emphasizing connection, gratitude, and community during the holidays. The centerpiece is a long, candid interview with Alec Baldwin, recorded just before Thanksgiving. Alec discusses growing up on Long Island, early drinking and cocaine use, working in New York television, moving to Los Angeles, fame, excess, driving intoxicated, overdosing in a hotel room in Oregon, and ultimately getting sober in 1985. He describes how AA became his entire social world, how spirituality helped keep him sober, and how his faith and family carried him through later life crises — including public scrutiny, divorce, legal battles, and depression. Alec speaks openly about wanting to “just not kill myself tomorrow” during his darkest moments and how sobriety principles guided him through. After the interview, Dave plays more holiday messages from the Dopey Nation and then has a long, emotional phone call with his father, Alan Manheim. They process the Nick Reiner tragedy, public backlash, antisemitic comments, criticism of old Dopey clips resurfacing online, and the strange irony of Dopey being thrust into the media spotlight through tragedy. They discuss parenting addicts, mental illness, fame, synchronicity, and how Dopey interviews became central to news coverage. The episode closes with reflections on resilience, staying connected, asking for help, and honoring Chris, followed by Dave playing his song “Good So Bad.”SEO / SEARCHABLE KEYWORDS (CUT & PASTE)  Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. Hello dear listener, Vanessa here.  First off, I want to let you know about a unique in-person event that Nocturne will be part of in the San Francisco Bay Area on Saturday, January 10th. Way back last January we released the episode, Impression, in which I followed artist, Nathanael Gray out to the wilds of the Point Reyes National Seashore, and chronicled his process of creating a large triptych painting of the ocean, in the dark.  If you'll be in the Bay Area on January 10th, I'd like to invite you to an intimate immersive experience in which we'll gather together from 6:30-9pm, listen to the episode, AND reveal the painting that Nathanael created for the first time, along with his newly created series, Ocean Fields. What's more, they'll be time to mingle in the lovely art/gathering space - A Loft of One's Own, in Emeryville, purchase yummy pop up food, amidst a newly created soundscape by Nocturne composer, and co-creator, Kent Sparling.  The event is free, but there are limited spots available, so RSVP is required. You can find event details at https://www.aloftofonesown.com/impression . And speaking of past episodes, I thought I'd drop an old holiday favorite into the feed as a rebroadcast. The episode is Tree People, from back in 2017, featuring Joel Shupack, who worked for years guarding Christmas Trees at night in NYC. Joel is highly entertaining as he recalls the ins and outs of this very unique nocturnal gig. So, whether you're revisiting this story or hearing it for the first time, I hope you enjoy it. There's a funny thing about Christmas in New York: In a city where most of the living trees are clumped together in just a few areas, right around Thanksgiving new clumps of trees start popping up all over this mostly concrete and asphalt setting. The tree stands sprinkled throughout the city create a festive air, but there's another dimension to the world of Christmas trees in New York City at night. Support Nocturne by donating at www.patreon.com/nocturnepodcast  Tree People Credits Nocturne is produced by Vanessa Lowe. Production help on this episode from Joel Shupack. You can find Joel Shupack's podcast, Square Mile, here. We are in it! There's no time left to plan anything so how can you still be proactive and ahead of things? I'm sharing my sanity saving tips to meet you and your family's needs and still show up as your best self in these last couple of weeks in December. We are in those flexible strange last weeks of the year so what can you do to save your sanity?  Event Go Bags If you only have time to implement one thing - this is it! Event go bags are like the go back you should have packed to grab at a moment's notice so you have the things you need while you are away from home for an unknown amount of time. In this instance, you will look at the calendar and place a bag, in an out of the way area, for each event. Then you're going to put some kind of clip on it to attach any notes you make to yourself about the event like grab the appetizer from the refrigerator or return the book to Aunt Betty that you want to remember as you go out the door for the event. As the date approaches, you can add items to the bag too that you want to remember to bring…maybe Aunt Betty's book.  And I strongly recommend a donation area. I know I talked about it recently that you may be getting the bug to declutter. We have January energy creeping up on us and we want things to be clean before company comes. A great free activity is decluttering with your kids. Because they are home and they are bored! But you definitely don't have time to pack everything up and head to a donation center.  No problem. Create a designated area for items you may want to donate. And while decluttering you may find Aunt Betty's book which then you can place in that bag which is likely near the donation area. See how that just works out? This is the beauty of the Sunday Basket® that we all appreciate. It's one designated place for safe keeping actionable items until the time we intend to address them. I know these two spaces may create a little clutter but let's be honest most of our homes look like it's the day before laundry day right now anyway!  Let's stay sane. Two Week Big Haul I realize this next suggestion you may have to play with your paycheck schedule now but utilize it this year and plan for it next year in your operations binder.  I want you to make a grocery haul for the next two weeks. We talked about a version of this before Thanksgiving. You need snacks, meals, and more snacks. The kids are off school and people are snacking like it's their job. Think about all the appetizers or items you need to bring to any parties. Consider paper plates this year in between the meals or even for the meals too depending on your phase of life. Just decide what is right for your family.  Then do it. Consider your finances and then decide what all you can do and get it done to save your sanity! You don't have time for multiple trips to the store in addition to everything else. Final Suggestions Gas up the car so you can get to where you need to go without having to make yourself late stopping to get gas. Make sure you have enough stamps for thank you letters or Christmas cards.  And if you are stuck in the stone age with me using cash, get some cash. You never know when you'll need to pay someone back for your half of the meal or something they picked up for you.  Or you could just send it on Zelle or Venmo like the cool kids. Take advantage of these tips because these last few weeks are going to be amazing! EPISODE RESOURCES: The Sunday Basket® Sign Up for the Organize 365® Newsletter  Did you enjoy this episode? One of the greatest surprises of this journey wasn't the visions, the purging, or even the revelations; it was the people. In just four days, strangers became family. Not metaphorically. Literally. People from different countries, histories, and wounds trusted one another with their tears, their truths, their breakdowns, and their rebirths. This episode explores one of the most important distinctions of the entire experience: the environment is not secondary to the medicine—the people are the medicine. Arkana is not just a retreat center; it is a living ecosystem designed to make it safe enough to stop performing and start being real. When judgment evaporates, and egos are checked at the door, something ancient reawakens. Trust becomes the air you breathe. Authenticity becomes effortless. Healing accelerates. By the third and final night of Ayahuasca, the work had shifted. There was no war. No descent. No funerals. Grandmother wasn't teaching anymore; she was integrating. Confirming. Blessing. What once felt overwhelming now appeared as memory, perspective, and clarity. The darkness was never removed; it was revealed as temporary. And for the first time, it became clear that both the darkness and the light were never happening to me. They were moving through me. Day Five introduced San Pedro, Huachuma, the Medicine of the Heart. Where Ayahuasca turns you inward to meet your shadows, San Pedro moves you outward into connection, unity, empathy, and love. Under the guidance of Alcides, a man who doesn't just tell stories but transmits truth, the group experienced something rare and unmistakable: collective heart coherence. Not symbolic. Not poetic. Physically real. Fourteen nervous systems beating as one. This episode captures the final transmission of the Sacred Valley: connection isn't something you create, it's what remains when you remove the barriers. The heart has always been unified. It's the ego that divides it. San Pedro didn't give us anything new; it revealed what had always been there beneath the masks, defenses, and personas. As the fire burned low beneath the Andean sky, one final truth became clear: plant medicine isn't the point, it's the doorway. Nothing fixes you. Nothing completes you. These medicines remove what was never yours to carry and reveal who you've been all along. This is the ceremony after the ceremony. And this is where the journey home truly begins. Make Sense? Liv looks back on her favourite holiday memories, the joy of the lead-up to Christmas, and why the most emotional gift wins. The conversation drifts into wanting nothing vs knowing exactly what you want, the differences between UK and US Christmas traditions (including Boxing Day), New Year celebrations, and a deep dive into the wonderfully chaotic world of UK pantomime, much to Candace's delight. Jingle Bells is one of the most recognizable Christmas songs ever written… except it wasn't written for Christmas at all. In this week's Mistake of the Week, we unpack one of America's most enduring cultural misconceptions: the belief that Jingle Bells has anything to do with Christmas. Originally titled One Horse Open Sleigh, the song debuted at a Thanksgiving church service in the 1850s and was inspired not by Santa or reindeer, but by noisy, fast sleigh races in Medford, Massachusetts. No Christmas trees. No North Pole. Just winter racing, youthful chaos, and a catchy melody. Over the decades, repetition turned assumption into “truth,” and a Thanksgiving song quietly shifted into a holiday anthem. It's a perfect example of how knowledge mistakes spread — harmless, familiar, and rarely examined. In this 3–4 minute episode, Mark explains: Why Jingle Bells was never meant to be a Christmas song How repetition and cultural habit transformed it anyway What this teaches us about assumptions, organizational habits, and the stories we never question Why small knowledge mistakes can persist for generations If you care about learning, improvement, and understanding how mistaken beliefs take root, this episode offers a fun seasonal reminder: even our most cherished “facts” deserve a second look.

Most importantly, they talk about what it's like to do the holidays differently since losing their brother Adam. They get into Shakoor guilt™️, being away from family during the holidays, and how traditions shift when life doesn't look the way it used to.And with that… wheels up, 2025. You've Got Mail Zabar's scene 50% off at Shutterfly!!!!.... just kidding, it actually takes you to our website which is really cute

When winter settles in and the world grows quiet, strange things start to stir. In this year's TFD Christmas Special, we're sharing true ghost stories and creepy encounters to haunt your holiday and prove they aren't always filled with Christmas cheer. You'll hear about a haunted apartment in Ohio where a ghost learned to coexist with its tenants, a chilling brush with the so-called Death Angel (or Mothman as Christian calls it), and heartfelt tales of spirits who return when the season feels loneliest. Sharing ghost stories is the annual Christmas tradition round these parts—where fireside storytelling meets the unexplained, and endless tangents. Perfect for fans of true paranormal experiences, christmas ghost stories, and eerie holiday tales that linger long after the lights go out. So pour some nog, dim the lights, and settle in for a Christmas podcast that's equal parts strange, tragic, wonder and whimsey (okay maybe not whimsey, but it's a good time either way). Merry Christmas from The Freaky Deaky—where even the ghosts come home for the holidays.

Australia - Australia has implemented a groundbreaking ban preventing children under 16 from accessing major social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, effective December 2025, to protect them from harm, with significant fines for companies failing to enforce it, though messaging apps and gaming platforms are currently exempt. - Reddit is suing - Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Threads, TikTok, X (Twitter), YouTube, Reddit, Kick, and Twitch are all banned for kids under 16. - Thoughts on this? Saved For Last - Of all the eye-popping numbers that Oracle Corp. published last week on the costs of its artificial-intelligence data center buildout, the most striking didn't appear until the day after its earnings press release and analyst call. - The more comprehensive 10-Q earnings report that appeared on Thursday detailed $248 billion of lease-payment commitments, “substantially all” related to data centers and cloud capacity arrangements, the business-software firm said. These are due to commence between now and its 2028 financial year but they're not yet included on its balance sheet. - That's almost $150 billion more than was disclosed in the footnotes of September's earnings update. What if the Holidays are Hard?  In this heartfelt episode of the Exploring More podcast, Michael Thompson and SJ Jennings dive into the complex emotional terrain of the holiday season. While Christmas and Thanksgiving are often painted as joyful and magical, they acknowledge that for many, the holidays bring up grief, loneliness, and the ache of change. Whether it's a first Christmas without a loved one, a tradition lost to transition, or a general feeling of disconnection, this episode reminds listeners that they're not alone—and that presence often speaks louder than words. Michael and SJ share vulnerable stories about their own shifting holiday experiences, from quiet moments in Marco Island to family members moving away. They explore the tension between honoring old traditions and stepping into new ones, and how to navigate this "liminal space" with empathy and courage. Rather than fixing others or offering shallow cheer, they invite us to show up with compassion—doing the dishes, offering silence, or simply asking, "Would it help to talk?" The episode includes practical encouragement for those supporting others through a hard season, as well as a reminder: we're all walking each other home. Whether you're grieving, reflecting, or just feeling the weight of the season, this conversation offers space to breathe and a gentle nudge toward connection, healing, and hope. After the Thanksgiving holiday, Dr. Robert Pearl and Jeremy Corr sit down for an “Unfiltered” discussion about gratitude with cardiologist and burnout expert Dr. Jonathan Fisher. While the discussion begins with an exploration of the science and value of gratitude, the episode then expands into an analysis of cultural trends in medicine, mental health, and the tension between individual autonomy and collective belonging. With insights drawn from emotion research, Jonathan's own experience, and even sci-fi television, this episode touches on everything from evolutionary psychology to electronic health records — and from Lord of the Rings to generative AI. Some of the key ideas discussed: Gratitude is a mindset, a personality trait and, most importantly, a practice. Drawiong on research from Dr. Barbara Fredrickson and others to explain how gratitude triggers upward emotional spirals, helping people tap into optimism, empathy and self-trust. When life is falling apart, gratitude alone isn't the answer. In moments of crisis, trying to force a feeling of gratitude can backfire. Instead, we should begin by choosing where to place our attention, cultivating stillness and gradually train our minds to experience positive emotions again. The real enemy of gratitude might be distraction. With much of our attention hijacked by devices, media and negativity bias, Americans today often lack the sustained focus required to feel or express authentic gratitude. There's wisdom (and warning) in a ‘hive mind.' The group discusses the Apple TV series Pluribus, in which a virus links humans into a hive mind of total empathy and consensus. While peaceful, the world loses all individuality, sparking a conversation about the tension between belonging and autonomy in medicine, society and self. A lesson from Samwise Gamgee: In a heartfelt final segment, Jeremy draws on Lord of the Rings to reflect on the importance of standing by loved ones in dark times. Jonathan responds with insight into isolation, empathy and the power of human connection — even when people seem lost. Trail to Independence” tour. And yes, former Gov. Sonny Perdue was there, rallying students to think big about the next 250 years. “America doesn’t stay great by accident,” Perdue told the crowd. “It takes work—your work. Education is what keeps democracy alive.” The event wasn’t just speeches. Students played history-themed games like “E Pluribus Unum” and a patriotic spin on “Family Feud.” Cobb Superintendent Chris Ragsdale called it “tremendous,” reminiscing about celebrating the bicentennial as a kid in 1976. Full circle, indeed. STORY 2: Sheriff’s annual Santa On Wheels donates thousands of toys Cobb Sheriff Craig Owens and his team brought some serious holiday magic to Mableton schools on Saturday with their fourth annual Santa On Wheels toy drive. Over 1,600 toys were handed out at Lindley and Floyd middle schools, turning the day into a Christmas wonderland for families in need. “Seeing those kids’ smiles—it’s everything,” Owens said. “Times are tough, but this? This is why we do it.” Owens, dressed as Santa (with Mrs. Claus by his side), posed for photos and handed out gifts, while Christmas music played and kids lined up for presents—and even a chance to win a bike. STORY 3: 100+ wreaths placed at veteran tombstones at Kennesaw cemetery   On a chilly Saturday afternoon, Kennesaw City Cemetery became a quiet, reverent place of remembrance. Volunteers—city officials, Scouts, families—gathered to lay wreaths on the graves of 139 veterans as part of the Wreaths Across America campaign. Each headstone, marked with an American flag, received a wreath. Volunteers paused, saluted, and reflected. “This is Christmas,” said Mayor Derek Easterling, a Navy veteran. “We honor them because they gave everything for our freedom.” For 8-year-old Scout Archer Linscott, it was about tradition. “We’ll be back,” his dad said. “It’s about remembering the past as we move forward.” We have opportunities for sponsors to get great engagement on these shows. Break: Villa Rica Wonderland Train STORY 4: Second suspect in Kell High School vandalism case charged, released from custody The second suspect in the Thanksgiving break vandalism at Kell High School has been charged, according to jail records. Hunter Bridges, 18, of Marietta, was arrested last Thursday and released on a $16,720 bond. He and Micah Zefo, 22, of Acworth, allegedly broke into the school on Nov. 24, causing over $12,000 in damage. Police say the pair climbed onto the roof, entered through a hatch, and spent hours inside. They reportedly drove floor scrubbers across the gym’s newly refinished hardwood, leaving deep scratches, and even tampered with school buses. Both face multiple felonies. The district called the behavior “unacceptable.” STORY 5: Cobb 911 earns triple accreditation as center of excellence  Cobb County’s Emergency Communications team just hit a major milestone: triple accreditation from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). That’s right—Tri-ACE status. Only 27 agencies in the world have it, and Cobb’s the first county agency in Georgia to pull it off. This recognition means Cobb’s 911 center excels in fire, police, and medical dispatch. It wasn’t easy—earning this required meeting 20 tough accreditation standards and passing expert reviews. “This is the gold standard,” said E911 Director Melissa Alterio. “It’s proof of the incredible work our team does every single day.” Break: STORY 6: Cobb Collaborative, Cobb Community Foundation honor community leaders    The Cobb Collaborative and Cobb Community Foundation came together for the 32nd annual Human Services Awards Luncheon, a heartfelt celebration of the people and organizations transforming lives in Cobb County. “This is about selflessness, innovation, and teamwork,” said Irene Barton, Cobb Collaborative’s executive director. “These honorees remind us what’s possible when we work together to tackle issues like homelessness and food insecurity.” Among the winners: Mark Riggans of Cobb Christmas and Janet Porter of Four Corners Group, honored for their service; Kelsey Thompson-White Battersby, recognized for her housing initiatives; and Kidz2Leaders, awarded $10,000 for breaking cycles of generational incarceration. STORY 7: Navigating Food Allergies During the Holiday Season: What Families Need to Know The holidays are all about food, right? But for families dealing with food allergies, festive treats can feel more like a minefield than a celebration. One wrong bite, and it’s not just a ruined party—it’s a trip to the ER. Over 33 million Americans have food allergies, and anaphylaxis-related emergencies have skyrocketed in recent years. Dr. Joanna Dolgoff says about 1 in 20 kids now has a diagnosed food allergy. Why? Better diagnoses, sure, but also changes in diet, environment, and how kids’ immune systems develop. Feeling overwhelmed? Totally normal. The Primal Shift

You can do everything right on paper — organic, grass-fed, pasture-raised, regenerative — and still end up eating the very compounds you were trying to avoid. That's the blind spot I'm digging into in this episode: the ways food gets contaminated during processing and packaging… often without the consumer noticing, and without small farmers even realizing they're doing it. The most vivid example is something most people would never question: A turkey can be raised well, harvested cleanly, and still get compromised at the finish line when it's put into a plastic bag and then heat shrink-wrapped in hot water.  Combined, heat, fat and soft plastic create the perfect conditions for microplastics and chemicals like phthalates to migrate into meat. The label still looks perfect. The outcome isn't. From there, I widen the lens to other "healthy" foods that carry hidden landmines. Pastured poultry can still be built on genetics designed for rapid weight gain, and the feed can still be heavy in polyunsaturated fats that end up stored in the meat.  Grass-fed beef can still pick up microplastics during processing and packaging. Even when the animal was raised well, the last steps can quietly undo a lot of the benefit. The point isn't perfection. It's awareness. Once you understand where contamination can happen, you can ask better questions and make smarter trade-offs — like requesting butcher paper before plastic, avoiding heat shrink-wrapping, or choosing producers who are willing to adjust their process when you explain why it matters.  In many cases, the only way to reduce these risks is to shorten the distance between you and your food – whether that means buying from someone local you can talk to, getting involved in the process, or raising even a small amount of food yourself just to learn what actually happens behind the scenes. This episode is my attempt to give you that lens without turning food sourcing into a new anxiety. You don't need to chase purity. But you do need to understand what labels can't tell you. In this bonus episode of Stop the Killing, Sarah shares why she felt compelled to release this previously recorded Thanksgiving episode today — after waking to the devastating news of the Bondi Beach shooting in Australia. Early reports indicate two gunmen — a father and son — opened fire on a Jewish Hanukkah celebration. Amid the terror, a civilian, Ahmed Al Ahmed, intervened and wrestled the gun from one of the attackers, an extraordinary act of bravery that undoubtedly saved lives. His courage, and the countless other acts of heroism that day, deserve to be remembered alongside the victims of this horrific event. Following Sarah's reflection on Bondi Beach, Katherine Schweit walks listeners through the recent headlines across the United States — a stark reminder of the rise in everyday gun violence: shootings in parking lots, malls, tree-lighting ceremonies, restaurants, and road-rage encounters. These are not the mass-casualty attacks that dominate front-page news, but the far more frequent, unpredictable shootings that end lives and shatter families daily. Katherine breaks down: Why “every neighbourhood” is now potentially vulnerable How small disputes escalate into gunfire Why situational awareness is essential The dangers of anger and firearms in the same moment The toll of stress and the holiday season on suicide by firearm How we can all be part of the solution this holiday season This episode is a reminder that civilians can make a difference, heroes walk among us, and awareness — combined with empathy, grace, and responsible gun ownership — can save lives. To the victims and families affected in Bondi Beach, and to all impacted by gun violence everywhere: our hearts go out to you. In this episode, Kate and Jayme settle in for a real-life conversation about holiday parenting wins, struggles, and traditions that actually feel doable.Kate confesses her confusion with modern kids' entertainment and why it sometimes feels like decoding a foreign language, while Jayme celebrates surviving toddler life plus an ear infection like the true warrior she is. Wins are wins.We also talk stress management, including Kate's unexpected love affair with running while watching musicals. Because nothing says self-care like sprinting through Broadway show tunes. From there, we dive into the holiday overwhelm fueled by social media perfection, why intentional breaks matter more than trendy traditions, and how doing less can sometimes mean more for our kids. Traditions, But Make Them YoursKate shares her family's faith-based twist on Elf on the Shelf, while Jayme explains how her family keeps Thanksgiving flexible and festive with in-law celebrations and Christmas light adventures. There's talk of thankful trees, ornament collecting as a travel time capsule, and why not every tradition needs to look the same to be meaningful.Black Friday: Love It or Leave ItDifferent takes, zero judgment. In this mindset-shifting episode, Dr. Scott Watier and Tommy Welling reveal why most people struggle to maintain their fasting lifestyle during challenging times—their habits are only designed for perfect days. They introduce the "Full vs Floor" framework, a game-changing approach that gives you two versions of every critical habit: your ideal "full" version for good days and your non-negotiable "floor" version for when life gets chaotic. The hosts walk through practical examples for salt and hydration, exercise, protein intake, fasting schedules, sleep, and holiday navigation, showing exactly how to maintain momentum without perfectionism. They explain why discipline isn't about doing more—it's about never doing nothing—and how keeping habits alive even in their most minimal form tells your brain you're still moving forward. With the holiday season between Thanksgiving and Christmas, this episode provides the permission and framework you need to stop the all-or-nothing thinking that leads to weight regain, helping you build true consistency through imperfect action rather than abandoned perfection. Take the NEW FASTING PERSONA QUIZ! - The Key to Unlocking Sustainable Weight Loss With Fasting! Resources and Downloads: SIGN UP FOR THE DROP OF THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO BLOOD SUGAR CONTROL GRAB THE OPTIMAL RANGES FOR LAB WORK HERE! - NEW RESOURCE! FREE RESOURCE - DOWNLOAD THE NEW BLUEPRINT TO FASTING FOR FAT LOSS! SLEEP GUIDE DIRECT DOWNLOAD DOWNLOAD THE FASTING TRANSFORMATION JOURNAL HERE! Partner Links: Get your FREE BOX OF LMNT hydration support for the perfect electrolyte balance for your fasting lifestyle with your first purchase here! Get 25% off a Keto-Mojo blood glucose and ketone monitor (discount shown at checkout)! Click here! Our Community: Let's continue the conversation. As fun as roller coasters are in the amusement park, you may be addicted to the highs and lows of toxic love, and that's not fun or healthy in your grown up relationships. In this two-part episode, Dr. LePera shares valuable tips to help you identify if you're in an incompatible relationship and how to navigate through the emotional minefield. On Thanksgiving weekend in 2010, three brothers Andrew, Alexander, and Tanner Skelton vanished during a court ordered holiday visit with their father, John Skelton. What was supposed to be a routine custody exchange became one of the most haunting child disappearance cases in the Midwest.John claimed he handed the boys to a woman named Joann Taylor to keep them safe while he attempted suicide. Investigators later proved Joann Taylor did not exist. Neither did the underground foster network John insisted had taken his sons. With no bodies, no witnesses, and no clear timeline, the case stalled while John served time for unrelated charges. Now, fifteen years later, everything has changed. In 2025, prosecutors officially charged John Skelton with the murders of all three boys just weeks before his expected release from prison. Investigators believe new evidence finally supports what many feared from the beginning. As the case moves back into court, one question still hangs over everything. Will these charges finally reveal what happened to the Skelton brothers, or will the truth remain buried forever?
