— Women's wellness emphasizes maintaining the pelvic floor muscles as a key component of a healthy lifestyle. Pelvic floor function contributes to proper organ support, core strength, and sex satisfaction when it functions properly. The weakness of the pelvic muscles can cause incontinence, muscle and nerve pain, and organ prolapse in women. The underlying cause of pelvic floor dysfunction should be explored by pelvic floor physical therapists if women experience health issues related to it. Occasionally, a pelvic floor isn't weak, but it doesn't know how to relax. It is possible to achieve the desired results through physical therapy or targeted exercise routines. As women get older, pelvic floor problems often arise, but they don't have to result in issues that reduce quality of life. By taking preventive measures or addressing problems as they arise, women can reduce the effects of muscle weakness and maintain optimal pelvic floor health. Valeria interviews Gloria Kolb — She is the CEO and co-founder of Elitone®, an FDA-cleared, non-invasive wearable treatment for women with urinary incontinence. As an inventor with 30 patents, Gloria's accolades include Best New Product of 2019 by My Face My Body awards, Sling Shot 2020, and a top 10 finalist in Google's Women Startup Challenge. Joining the Marines after dropping out of college, Tyler Stallings was the old man in the group of recruits that he enlisted with. That wasn't a bad thing though as the Texas native admitted that he had some growing up to do and was forced to do it quickly. It turned into one of the best experiences of his life and helped mold him into the man he is today. One of the things that he missed the most while in the service was the sport of archery and being in the outdoors. It was there that the idea behind StealthRig was born and the rest, as they say, is history. Fast forward to the 2024 Archery Trade Association Show in St. Louis this past January and Stallings found himself onstage accepting The Impact Award for Best New Product. Beating out over 150 other items launched at the show, the modular bino harness system is unique in that it features a steel plate on the back, allowing you to attach your bow to it and navigate hands free in any environment.I had the pleasure of catching up with Tyler on the show floor as well as seeing him at Mission 28 here in Wisconsin in April. He and his brother in law attended our private event at Vortex Optics and made the trip up to the HHA factory for a tour later that week. With a product ideal for the Western hunter, he will be seeing a lot of The Badger State in 2024, attending all of the Beast Mode Archery Challenge events.A strong man of faith, I have thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Tyler and am excited to see his brand grow as the years go by. Our guest Nancy Parsons will share her insights on this question along with assessment and data-based ideas for mapping a strategy for effective development.Deep self-awareness is critical to mapping an effective strategy for development and performance improvement.  Research shows that leaders tend to lack the clarity and personal objectivity needed to recognize, build upon, or leverage their inherent character talent, gifts and acumen; while understanding, managing and neutralizing their risks and short sides. Pet loss often goes unacknowledged, is compared with other losses, or is met with statements that invalidate the grief that is experienced. ‘It was just a cat' and other unhelpful comments minimize the real experience of grief pet owners go through. Both Erica and I describe the connection we had with our cats and how their loss affected us. Erica's cat Wolfgang had such an impact on her life and when he died, she could not find suitable support to help her navigate grief, so she created a beautiful card deck. Erica's mission is to support others in dealing with pet loss and normalize pet loss grief as a valid sort of grief.     About this week's guest After the sudden passing of her cat, Wolfgang, Erica couldn't find a simple product to help her cope, so she created her own: Pet Loss Grieving Cards. Nancy Parsons is CEO and President of CDR Companies, LLC, which is a globally recognized expert in combining the science of assessments with the art of developing people. Nancy was the ACEC/MEECO International Institute Thought Leader of Distinction in Executive Coaching (2019) and author of the Amazon bestseller: Women Are Creating the Glass Ceiling and Have the Power to End It. Nancy and her team recently launched CDR-U Coach, the first-of-its-kind, digital avatar coach that provides individualized feedback and development for all employees. CDR-U Coach was awarded the 2021 Gold Star Winner of the “Best New Product or Service of the Year” by the Stevie Awards for Women in Business and for the 2022 Houston Business Journal Innovation Award. Nancy's primary clients include global C-Suite members and executive coaches.   In this episode, Jordan and Nancy discuss: Coaching from live people delivered digitally The only digital avatar that can debrief a deep personality assessment  How the avatar can extend the reach of executive coaches Nobody coaches the bottom 80% of the workforce Breaking through the glass ceiling  Key Takeaways The digital avatar system is not AI. All the scripts are written by executive coaches. This extends deep coaching to people who almost never receive it.  Only 10-15% of employees are self-aware, which is why a lot of people make career mistakes, become unhappy, or have engagement issues. Growth doesn't happen until we look deep within ourselves. The assessment suite delivered by the avatar includes characters, drivers, and risks.  In giving feedback, it's important to be candid, direct, and accurate - to not sugarcoat the results. However, it's equally as important to be cognizant of people who do need reassurance and need a little extra support in order to reach their potential.  Breaking through the glass ceiling is a matter of being more assertive and having more initiative. It's about being more confident and being open to speak up and answering questions even in moments where you don't feel confident. Also, like everything else, it will take practice.  “Women can change these reactions and behaviors, but they have to be aware of them. We can end the glass ceiling if we help women be more assertive in those tough moments.” —  Nancy Parsons   Connect with Nancy Parsons:   Website: www.cdrcompanies.com  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/nancyeparsons/ | https://www.linkedin.com/company/cdr-companies/  Twitter: @neparsons   Connect with Jordan:  For executives wanting a complimentary executive coaching conversation: jordan@jordangoldrich.com  Website: www.workplacewarriorinc.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/jordangoldrich1 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jordan.goldrich Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jordangoldrich/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jgoldrich/

Welcome to One Last Network and The Art of Shuffling the Deck.   Erica Messer encountered tragedy in 2020. Just months after finding her soul cat, Wolfgang, he had an accident and left her physical world.   Her grief was overwhelming, especially since it was complicated with mental health issues.  Wolfgang's death broke her in many ways.  But like kintsugi, the Japanese art of repairing ceramics with gold, she put herself back together and found her way down a new path, helping others see light through the darkness of their grief.  In her own grief, she went searching for something simple that would help her focus on her healing.   She found nothing suitable.  In consultation with her mum, Bonnie, Erica put her whole heart in developing Wolfie's Wish, her own simple product, a deck of pet loss grieving cards. Each card carries a message, an instruction, an affirmation for dealing specifically with pet loss and the grief that accompanies it.  The cards were first runner-up in the Accessories and Gifts category for the Best New Product awards at Superzoo, a large pet industry trade show, in 2022.  The cards are just the beginning of the empire Erica wants to build as she steps forward into this new life of pet loss grief and being of service to pet guardians around the world.   What to listen for  4:06 Why Erica sought professional help for her own grief  12:20 Erica's mission to help others in their grief  21:25 Learning to talk to people in a more empathetic way  32:01 How Erica finds new ways to support people in grief  37:29 How to give someone grieving space to feel  Where to find Erica  Wolfie's Wish  Instagram  Facebook: Wolfie's Wish Pet Loss Support Group  YouTube  Other resources mentioned in this episode  David Kessler's Healing Grief Card Deck  --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onelastnetwork/message Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/onelastnetwork/support

It's tough getting any stationery brand off the ground, but one that goes an entirely new direction is a real challenge. Just ask Sharon Glassman of Smile Songs. This Brooklyn fashion writer turned Colorado songwriter actually came to stationery circuitously — as she was envisioning a way for her listeners to access her anytime, she actually was planning on making music boxes at first!          Sharon quickly realized that our smart phones ARE our music boxes ... with a little help from QR codes, that is. But a product that requires explanation can feel incongruous to its category counterparts, so Sharon decided that rather than exhibiting at a traditional gift show, she would instead try the resort and souvenir route. So, she created her Natural Happiness Collection, featuring earthy symbols like mountains, water, flowers, and sun, pairing each with an inspirational message and a song about personal growth and happiness. Then, she took a deep breath and set up her very first table at her very first trade show, The Las Vegas Souvenir & Resort Gift Show. Sharon relaxed once she got her first sale within the first hour, but was really surprised on her last day, when she received the show award for Best New Product at the show! Flush from her success, Sharon drops in The Paper Fold to discuss how she developed Smile Songs, and that although the paper medium may evolve, the message is just the same. She shares lessons learned from her first trade show, and how she is bringing next-level collaborations to her most harmonious brand!

Kitchen flooring is installed all kinds of ways, depending on the home’s age and whether the room is new or renovated. It’s important to know what you’re dealing with before considering floor replacement. That’s just what Mary, in Iowa, is doing. “When we redid our kitchen, the floors were laid first, then cabinets over them,” she says. “Is there any way to change the flooring without tearing out the cabinets?” Floor replacement — specifically, whether it’s even possible in this case — is one of the top questions we receive. Well, Mary and anyone else in this situation will be happy to know that yes, in most cases, there is a way to update that flooring without making major changes to your kitchen. We’ll talk about that, and much more, during this episode of the Today’s Homeowner Podcast! [1:16] How to clean popcorn ceiling around AC vents [3:21] Garden statues have broken — how to put them back together again [4:22] The best way to repair holes from a sagging towel rod [6:24] How to fill cracks in plaster walls [8:44] Simple Solution: How to convert a 5-gallon bucket into a cutting tool [11:55] Best New Product: Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric Spray Paint [12:54] Danny and Joe discuss uses for the Best New Product and Danny talks about his community project for the University of South Alabama [15:21] What to do when dryer lint blows onto the grass [16:53] Thoughts on painting vintage Marlite [19:24] Help for an ongoing sinkhole [23:15] Question of the Week: How to change flooring without tearing out cabinets Simple Solutions Scrap Bucket for Cut-offs — Here’s how to convert a plastic 5-gallon bucket into a convenient cutting station. Start by using a jigsaw to cut two shallow V-shaped notches into the top lip of the bucket, one directly across from the other. Then, rotate the bucket 90 degrees and cut two shallow rectangular notches, each about 1 inch deep and 3½ inches wide. Again, position the notches across from one another. Now when making cuts, you can use the V notches to securely hold round pipes and wooden dowels, and the rectangular notches for cutting flat boards up to 3½ inches wide. Duvet Cover Trick — Here’s an easy way to place a down comforter inside a duvet cover: Turn the duvet cover inside out and spread it out on the bed with the open end of the cover at the foot of the bed. Lay the comforter on top of the duvet cover. Starting at the headboard, grab the duvet cover and comforter and roll them all the way down to the foot of the bed. Open up the duvet cover and stuff in the comforter; what you’re doing is basically turning the roll inside out. Now unroll the duvet cover and the comforter will be inside.  Watch: How to Put a Comforter Inside a Duvet Cover Question of the Week Q: “When we redid our kitchen, the floors were laid first, then cabinets over them. Is there any way to change the flooring without tearing out the cabinets?” A: Floor replacement is possible, but it depends on the floor. You can score ceramic tiles, for instance, right at the kickboard and break them out of there. Your cabinets will still be sitting on top of the old flooring, but you would place your new flooring around them. For vinyl floor, you may be able to leave it where it is and lay new flooring on top. Today I'm speaking with my good friend Hagit, the founder of Tevony, a local food manufacturer of Mediterranean marinades, spreads and dressings. Hagit created Tevony with the desire to bring her father's family recipe to the world. Started in 2018, Hagit has overcome many challenges personally and professionally and is now the winner of the 2020 Sofi award for best new product in the dip/salsa category. Join our mailing list for this weeks giveaway info: https://bigfoodtalk.com/tevony-mediterranean-marinade About Tevony After an unpleasant divorce, Hagit's daughter inspired her to follow her entrepreneurial skills and concentrate on taking her father's recipe and turning it into a business. Out of the gate, Tevony had big ambitions. Their first every public appearance was at the 2018 restaurant and food expo at the Javitz Center in New York City. Hagit along with her daughters prepared 300 jars of Tachbisha. Tevony is the brand and Tachbisha is the product line. Tachbisha combines healthy Mediterranean ingredients such as garlic, turmeric, olive oil, spices with lemon and lime which when combined not only packs a ton of flavor into your meal but also tenderizes your meat and poultry. Creating a Mediterranean Product Line The original product was the Mediterranean Garlic Spread and following the food show, Hagit learned that people needed more information. Customers were asking what they could use the product with. This is where things get interesting because taking the original garlic spread recipe and turning into a complete product line was going to be a challenge. Putting 4 products on the shelf at one time is a challenge in both production and marketing to the consumer. Now you'll find a marinade, a salad dressing, a condiment and the original garlic spread. How to Use Tachbisha for Cooking The marinade can be used on steak, poultry, fish and even hearty vegetables such as portobello mushrooms. It couldn't be any easier, just take your bottle and pour over your protein or veggies, bake or grill. You don't need any additional spices or seasoning which is the goal for Hagit. She wants to make flavorful cooking convenient for the busy family. The garlic spread can even be used as alternative to traditional pizza sauce especially for those that may not be able to eat tomatoes for the acidity. The salad dressing is one Hagit's favorite creations because she added coconut cream to the ingredients to give it a luxurious creamy finish for a unique salad experience any foodie will want to try. Because of the coconut cream you could also use it as a Thai inspired marinade. On their website they also have a recipe for Creamy Thai Vegan Soup. Award Winning Success After 2 years and starting with 300 bottles, Hagit has now sold over 10,000 units of her Tachbisha marinades and condiments all over the tri-state area and beyond. What Hagit hopes people realize is how much work goes into taking a recipe like this and putting it on the shelf. Since the Covid pandemic, making deliveries to retail stores proved more difficult and sampling at retail stores is non-existent which can really disrupt a burgeoning food manufacturing such as Tevony. For Hagit, she treats challenges as a form of motivation. The company has shifted to more online marketing efforts to get her products in front of people that are now cooking at home. You can find the entire Tachbisha line on Amazon.com as well as on their own website delivered right to your doorstep. Retail is also getting some changes with in-store POS displays in lieu of sampling. All of this work has culminated in 2020 with an award, making Tevony the the recipient of the 2020 Sofi Award for Best New Product.

About this episode Hello Alice is an online step-by-step resource for you in your entrepreneurial journey. Regardless of the stage of your business, Hello Alice can be a resource for you. This week I am joined by Carolyn Rodz, founder of Hello Alice. What I love about Carolyn's story is the narrative is so incredibly similar to why I started The Startup Story platform. To provide you, the entrepreneur and founder, with direct access to founders of companies so that you can learn from their journey. The entrepreneurial journey is such a unique storyline, and not a single one is the same. Yet, when we strip it all back and start at the beginning, we can begin to see some commonalities. One of them is that entrepreneurship was foundational in our upbringing, and for some, it was nowhere on the horizon. For Carolyn, it was very much the part of her world. This is Carolyn Rodz's startup story. In this episode, you'll hear. The term entrepreneur was never part of Carolyn's early vocabulary, but entrepreneurs surrounded her during her childhood. She shares her first exposure to entrepreneurship, her grandparents' Bolivian bread, cookie, and pasta factory. She shares some of her early aspirations, including her desire to climb the corporate ladder. She started as an investment banker, and all she wanted to be a corner office at a high rise in Manhattan. Her breaking point, when she realized the corporate lifestyle was no longer for her and how she broke away from that work-life. After leaving her job at JP Morgan, she decided she wanted to create something new, starting with a stationery business. And she won Best New Product at the first stationery show she attended. Carolyn shares what happens following her success at the trade show, including the story arc and her ultimate exit from the company. Even with the closing of her first venture, she knew she was capable of being an entrepreneur. Carolyn explains how she pushed forward to understand what steps she missed and how she could improve. About her next venture, a branding, and design company with two team members. How Carolyn transitioned into what it is known today as Hello Alice - a company that matches entrepreneurs with opportunities, locally and online, to help them start and grow a business. “Entrepreneurship is not a solo sport.” Carolyn Rodz Resources from this episode Hello Alice: https://helloalice.com/ Carolyn Rodz on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/carolynrodz Hello Alice COVID-19 Business for All Emergency Grant: https://helloalice.com/resources/funding/hello-alice-covid-19-business-for-all-emergency-grant The Startup Story Inner Circle: https://www.thestartupstory.co/vip The Startup Story on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/thestartupstory The Startup Story is now on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/jamesmckinney The Startup Story on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/thestartupstory Share the podcast The Startup Story community has been so incredible sharing our podcast with others, and we thank you! ScubaCapsule was developed by divers for divers. The Hard and Software where finished through a development team in Germany, where the manufacturing part of this innovative product also takes place. At DEMA Show 2011 it was voted as the best product, but it did not got the necessary financial medium for starting mass production and advertising. Since then many parts of the ScubaCapsule have changed, improved and adjusted to the actual state of art. Now, it is more then just a capsule for your Smartphone. Depth rated to 500 ft (150 meters), it includes a free app, maybe the most complete one for divers, that provides a dive log, digital compass, photo, video recording, record of certifications and more. New features and improvements are also coming out on a regular basis directly from the core development team based in Germany. Never before was it so beautiful to capture the beauty of the underwater world. "Being named Best New Product at the PGA Fall Show in Las Vegas confirms the level of innovation that FlightScope brings to the market,” said FlightScope President Henri Johnson. “We are pleased to be honored in this way and hope that our FlightScope customers can share in the recognition, for investing in our technology."Unlike traditional launch monitors that are bound by cables, the FlightScope® Prime allows golfers, golf professionals, and club fitters to analyze golf swings anywhere! Completely portable, and easy to set up, the FlightScope® Prime utilizes a battery that can keep its charge for more than 5-hours.And just like it’s predecessor, the FlightScope® Kudu, the Prime offers the most detailed analysis of a golf swing with a multitude of readouts such as: distance (carry and roll); shot grouping screens, a club analysis screen, a driver optimization screen, results screen, and of course, you get such readouts as ball speed, clubhead speed, spin, and much, much more.My most effective sessions have been with serious golfers who want to dial in the distance they hit their wedges,” said Ryan Daily, the Assistant Director of the PGA Golf Management Program at Campbell University. “I have yet to have someone of FlightScope for the first time that can predict the carry yardage of their wedges within 5-yards. Most of the time our students are almost 10-yards off! They think they hit their pitching wedge 120-yards when they really hit it 112. It’s amazing how, after just 2 or 3 sessions, a player can hit a ball within 2-to-3 yards of his target. Immediate, precise, and accurate feedback leads to quick results.”As Head PGA professional at Rock Hill Country Club in Long Island, NY, Michael is one of only 21 teachers world wide who have earned the designation of Golf Stroke Engineering Doctorate from the Golfing Machine Organization.   The Explosive Golf Schools and Michael's web site offers a unique opportunity for golfers of all abilities to learn and improved their golf swings. The company's coming-out party took place at the PGA Fall Expo in early September in Las Vegas, where its uniquely designed putters garnered a "Best New Product" award.Utopia's first putters to market are the TXR I and TXR II. All putters are designed, milled, hand-assembled, painted and polished in tiny Utopia, and with company founders and designers Scott Saunders and Michael Hillis checking them out.The company describes the TXR 1 as a "cavity-back blade" and the TXR II as a "heel-shafted cavity-back mallet."So what's unique about the design? That ridge you can see in the photo above of the TXR 1. That ridge - a raised, thin leading edge - is what strikes the ball, and the ridge is positioned to strike the ball just above the ball's equator. The intent is provide the ball with immediate forward roll, rather than the backspin that most traditional putters (which have a few degrees of loft) start the ball with. An immediate forward roll, the company says, eliminates skipping and skidding, helping the ball stay online. The company is working on getting its putters into on- and off-course pro shops and sporting goods retailers.
