Episode 10. Touching on all the things we CAN do to support ourselves through our current season of energy this week. And since energy doesn't work on timelines, whenever you listen to this episode is when you need to hear the messages within it the most. Starting with Rest - What does your body use to pull your attention towards it, signaling it's need for rest? And then, what kind of rest is most helpful for yourself at this time. Next is to turn towards your people, love on them, cheer them on, share in their understanding of need for rest. Also, pay attention to when some people filter out, who ends up showing up with the space their exit created? Was it more of what you once asked for, does it help you understand that life is redirecting you towards your highest potential and this is part of the plan? Reaching towards the small daily habits that we can use to help us open to potential and release the need or idea of control. The unseen is here to help us - so ask for the help! And let the rest unfold as it will and belt it out like Elsa "Let it gooooooo, let it goooo!" Thank you for joining me on my front porch as I share with you my experiences as I continue to live from the teachings of Neville Goddard. In this episode, I talk about limitless possibilities and how I play with it, which can turn a cloudy sky blue. Much of my time is invested in assisting my 92-year-old father. It seems to be a thing for those of us in my age category. It can be a lot, but as I apply the teachings of Neville Goddard to my experiences, it is more of a discovery and play with a lot of richness of experiences. I love that and now let's explore together.

What if success doesn't equal happiness? Many of us spend our lives pursuing a singular idea of success, one that was created for us by someone else. We give votes to those who shouldn't even have voices and strive to go faster and faster even as we find ourselves falling further and further behind. We chase gold stars, we check all the boxes, we lean in - and yet we still feel incomplete. In times of crises, like COVID-19, when we are all forced to press pause on all the hustle, one thing becomes abundantly clear: you can't be insatiably hungry for someone else's goals. When we don't define success in our own terms, finding our purpose and carving our own path becomes impossible. So how do we break the cycle so that we can live our best lives? How do we create a new normal… so that when life goes “back to normal,” our normal becomes a life we actually want? In this episode you will learn: What marketing messaging is working in 2020 How to pivot from a speaking career How to create an online course in 1 week (not 1 year) Where your business will go after Covid-19 calms down Who you need to listen to when making business decisions ABOUT LAURA GASSNER OTTING Laura speaks with change agents, entrepreneurs, investors, leaders, and donors to get them past the doubt and indecision that consign their great ideas to limbo. He contends that private-sector competition will bring down the cost of space launches and in-space technology and shows how those trends are already underway. Zubrin’s book lays out a compelling vision for the future of humanity in space. As space exploration increasingly becomes the domain of private companies and private citizens, humanity may be on the verge of a revolution in spaceflight that could open up a future of limitless possibility. This week’s interview is with Robert Zubrin, astronautics engineer and President of the Mars Society, who also introduced Elon Musk to Jim Cantrell at the founding of SpaceX. Dr. Zubrin was in Washington, DC at the Lincoln Network’s “Reboot American Innovation” conference to contrast the successes of the private sector space industry over the past few years with the excess and stagnation of NASA’s human flight program over the past few decades. At the current rate of innovation, he believes that the first manned mission to Mars will happen in our lifetimes.Should we settle Mars before we settle the moon? Are there regulatory restraints on the private space industry? Has our generation lost the drive to pursue the knowledge that made it possible for us to go to space? How do we inspire people to try something that has never been done before?Further Reading:The Case for Space: How the Revolution in Spaceflight Opens Up a Future of Limitless Possibility, written by Robert ZubrinReboot American Innovation May 2, 2019, Lincoln NetworkRelated Content:From SpaceX to Vector: Jim Cantrell and the Private Space Industry, Building Tomorrow PodcastJim Cantrell on Vector, Elon Musk, and Space Force, written by Spencer NealeA Libertarian Response to Global Depopulation, written by Pamela J. Laura Gassner Otting is a professional keynote speaker, respected author, and successful entrepreneur. She helps innovators, idealists, and iconoclasts get “unstuck” by providing the extra push they need to achieve extraordinary results. Laura is the founder of Limitless Possibility and a founding board member of the Boston-based philanthropic group SheGives. Prior to her current work, she served as the founder and president of the Nonprofit Professionals Advisory Group for more than thirteen years. She also served as a Presidential Appointee in the Clinton White House, helping guide and shape AmeriCorps. Laura is the author of several successful books including Mission Driven and Transitioning to the Nonprofit Sector, and her latest book is called Limitless: How to Ignore Everybody, Carve Your Own Path, and Live Your Best Life. Laura is a strong believer in not letting others put you in a box and hold you back. She believes that we all have limitless potential within ourselves to set our own definition of success and then achieve that success by breaking through walls and finding our own path through life. Limiting thoughts, whether from ourselves or others, have no place in Laura’s philosophy. She truly believes that self-empowerment is the key to unlocking our true potential and becoming limitless. — All of us have certain limits and expectations placed upon us from the time we come into this world. Whether it’s the parent that pushes us to go to medical school, or the teacher who tells us we aren’t capable, or the well-intentioned family member who warns us against pursuing our dreams, outside pressures are a constant anchor that too often weighs us down. Laura Gassner Otting wants to free us from that weight. Laura is a professional keynote speaker, author and entrepreneur who believes in the hidden potential present in every person. Laura believes in helping people achieve consonance, the state of aligning what they do with who they are. Through her four C’s (calling, connection, contribution, control), Laura helps people break through their limits and achieve success, no matter how they define it for themselves. In this episode, Laura discusses her career journey and shares how she “accidentally” became a keynote speaker. She shares strategies and insights from her new book, Limitless, with the goal of helping her readers get “unstuck” from the roadblocks they face and break through to a new level of success, prosperity and empowerment. She teaches people that success is not a list of boxes someone else creates for you to check off, success is however you define it. As business leaders, from time to time we can all use a reminder that our limitations are illusions and that our goals are within our reach. I hope you’ll listen to the episode and share in Laura Gassner Otting’s remarkable wisdom. Introducing Laura Gassner Otting Laura Gassner Otting is a professional motivational keynote speaker and the founder of Limitless Possibility. Where she empowers innovators, idealists, and iconoclasts to get “unstuck” in their thinking, push past their limiting beliefs, and achieve extraordinary results. She is turned on by the audacity of The Big Idea and that larger-than-life goal you just can't seem to shake. She is an instigator, a motivator, and a provocateur, and she has never met a revolution she didn't like. Her new book Limitless: How to Ignore Everybody, Carve Your Own Path, and Live Your Best Life is like a high-energy masterclass and brainstorming session all in one. With actionable tips to transform your vision for your career and do work with purpose. As she says “Many of us spend our lives pursuing a singular idea of success, one that was created for us by someone else. We give votes to those who shouldn't even have voices and strive to go faster and faster even as we find ourselves falling further and further behind. We chase gold stars, we check all the boxes, we lean in – and yet we still feel incomplete. When we don't define success in our own terms, finding our purpose and carving our own path becomes impossible. So how do you break the cycle so that you can live your best life? That's a good question isn't it? So has she defined her own route to success, or living one that is what similar folk are doing? And when she isn't being the greatest version of herself, how does she wind down her superpower and just relax and recharge? Well let's find out as we bring onto the show to start joining up dots with the one and only Laura Gassner Otting Show Highlight During the show we discussed such weighty subjects with Laura Gassner Otting such as: How to make a guest shine on a tv show by making them the best version of themselves they can ever hope to be. How at her core she is a introvert, and the reasons why she takes so much effort to prepare before she steps into the limelight. Laura shares how she was so scared in her early days in politics and seriously played the imposter syndrome to death. And lastly…… Why being authentic to one self is not the way that perhaps David Ralph first thought…but is so true.
