Brenda Song, a scifi weather machine, and witty commentary on capitalism at the rise of the digital age...what doesn't this DCOM have?? This week we're talking The Ultimate Christmas Present, a 2000 DCOM about two teenage girls who make it snow in LA, a crazed weatherman trying to understand, and an angry Santa looking for the culprit. Also Patrick Star is here (sort of). Whether you've seen it or not, we'd love for you to revisit the past with us because it is a wild (and worthwhile) ride. "Coach" stars Craig T. Nelson as Hayden Fox, the head football coach at Minnesota State University. He created a near perfect life for himself at the campus until one day he was stunned to find out that his daughter who he had barely seen over the last 16 years had decided to enroll there. Now Hayden is forced trying to balance leading a NCAA Division I-A school and being a dad. The show produced 200 episodes over its nine season run. As we find out, the decision was made to push the original pilot back one spot in order to air the episode "Kelly and the Professor" first. Did ABC make the right call swapping the two? If you've ever wondered how tuned up the antics could get if Spongebob Squarepants has a child twist to it you're in luck and Kamp Koral: Spongebob's Under Years is perfect for you. To support the new project the voice actors who provide voice performances for Spongebob Squarepants and Patrick Star, Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke spent some time chatting with me for a bit. They spoke a lot of the reasons they enjoy Kamp Koral: Spongebob's Under Years, the other adventures they would like to see the young versions of their characters, and the two explain why the dialogue is more important than the pitch of the voice when it comes to expressing age. Spongebob actor Tom Kenny himself expressed that they jokingly refer to the series of shows as the SBU or the Spongebob Universe, inspired by the MCU. He also explains how much he loves his job and that every day is different because there are Kamp Koral as well as the Patrick Star show both happening in addition to the main series. It's an incredibly fun chat with two charismatic and intensely fun individuals (three if you count me) and it was legendary to speak with both of them. You guys are going to really love this one so grab the popcorn and kick those legs up, you're headed to Bikini Bottom!
Today we are going to Kamp Koral with SpongeBob and Patrick themselves! We had the chance to sit down for an interview with Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke. These two are friends both on- and off-screen. From friendship to multiverse happenings, we had a blast chatting with these guys. Special guest Matt Serafini joins us this week for a bonus review of The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, which is now available to stream on Paramount+. In addition to discussing this third movie about everyone’s favorite undersea sponge, we also wax poetic about the ongoing legacy of “SpongeBob SquarePants” and its impact on pop culture over the last 20 years. Sponge on the Run was directed and written by Tim Hill, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger. The voice acting features most of the main cast of the television series: Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Mr. Lawrence, Carolyn Lawrence, and Jill Talley. Additionally, the film features a mix of live-action cameos and voice acting from Awkwafina, Matt Berry, Tiffany Haddish, Danny Trejo, Snoop Dogg, Reggie Watts, and Keanu Reeves. The film was dedicated to Stephen Hillenburg, the original creator of the show. LINKS Follow us on Twitter: Jon Negroni, Will Ashton Support our show on Patreon. On this edition of the Richard Crouse Show Podcast we meet Kiesza, a singer, songwriter and pop star with a fascinating story of resilience. From the reserves of the Royal Canadian Navy to writing songs for people like Rihanna to her single "Hideaway" debuting at number one on the UK Singles Chart to collaborating with everyone from Duran Duran to Pitbull and Diplo she is a bona fide pop princess. Then, in 2017 she suffered life altering injuries when a taxi t-boned the car she was riding in. Her recovery from a traumatic brain injury was slow and involved staying in a darkened room for six months but she is back with a new album, a new self-run record label and a new outlook. Then... In a career that spans five decades Chaka Khan has sold an estimated 70 million records, collaborated with everyone from Ry Cooder and Robert Palmer to Ray Charles and Quincy Jones, from Chicago to De la Soul and Mary J. Blige. She’s a musician, singer and songwriter with a shelfful of Grammys. I first saw her, with the band Rufus, on Soul Train singing their mega hit Tell Me Something Good. I became an instant fan and have remained so all these years later. I had the chance to speak with the music legend via Zoom to talk about her role as the voice of Henrietta the Chicken in the new Disney+ film The One and Only Ivan. And finally...I speak to Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke, the stars of “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run.” For more than twenty years Kenny and Fagerbakke have voiced two of pop culture’s favorite animated characters, SpongeBob SquarePants and his pal Patrick Star. In the new film, playing in theatres in Canada, SpongeBob and Patrick go on a rescue mission to save SpongeBob's pet snail Gary, who has been "snailnapped" by King Poseidon. In this interview e talk about the new movie, the popularity of SpongeBob memes and why these characters have endured for more than two decades.

We interviewed Bill Fagerbakke about his voice acting career.
Most Stephen King fans agree that his post-apocalyptic epic novel THE STAND is his magnum opus. We will not be discussing that, as we are forbidden from doing so. Instead, we're parsing through all six hours of the miniseries that aired in 1994 and stars Gary Sinise, Molly Ringwald, Rob Lowe, and Bill Fagerbakke (the voice of Patrick Star on Nickelodeon's SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS). But the true star of this movie is stereotypes we can't believe were acceptable only twenty years ago. Also in this episode: Rob self-medicates, and Dan dreams of mattresses smaller than a minifridge. GROWING UP FISHER is a new NBC series that's based on the life of it's executive producer and show creator DJ Nash. IT’S NOT EVERY FAMILY THAT’S BROUGHT CLOSER TOGETHER BY DIVORCE, BUT THE FISHER FAMILY IS ANYTHING BUT TYPICAL–11-year old Henry (Eli Baker) met the most amazing person he’ll ever meet in his life when he was four-and-a-half minutes old, his dad, Mel Fisher (J.K. Simmons). Mel’s an incredible father and successful lawyer…who happens to be blind. Ever since he can remember, Henry has always been his dad’s eyes and wingman, so when his parents decide to separate, he’s less than thrilled that his job has been outsourced to Mel’s new guide dog, Elvis. Meanwhile, his mother, Joyce (Jenna Elfman), begins a quest to find herself, essentially becoming a teenager in her forties.
