Welcome to another episode of Inglourious Blue Balls: A Basterds Work Left Undone, the monthly series dedicated to exploring the gargantuan pile of unfulfilled project announcements, spewed from the mouth of Quentin Tarantino. Joining me on this daunting journey is my co-host, Friar Wheeler (Owner of Scare Flair Records). Next up on the docket we look at an announcement Tarantino made back in 2019 when he announced he wanted to adapt his Django/Zorro comic book into his 10th and final film.Friar Wheeler:Listen to the Splatterhouse Podcast: https://open.spotify.com/show/38MSH4gnr6BU0uSrw3SuT7?si=bb155e1a67d5404bFollow the Splatterhouse Podcast on their Socials:Facebook: @SplatterhousepodcastInstagram: @the_splatterhouse_podcastTwitter: @SplatterPodcastFollow Scare Flair Records on their Socials:Facebook & Instagram: @scareflairrecordsWebsite: www.scareflair.comBecome a member of The Church of Tarantino: Follow us on our socials: Facebook / Instagram / Blue Sky & Letterboxd: @ChurchOfQTPodEmail: TheChurchOfTarantino@gmail.comWe're also on the Rabbit Hole Podcast Network: https://rabbitholepodcasts.com/the-church-of-tarantino/
Are there alien artifacts near the sun? "Almost all SETI searches to date have explicitly targeted stars in the hope of detecting artificial radio or optical transmissions. It is argued that extra-terrestrials (ET) might regard sending physical probes to our own Solar System as a more efficient means for sending large amounts of information to Earth. Probes are more efficient in terms of energy and time expenditures; may solve for the vexing problem of Drake's L factor term, namely, that the civilization wishing to send information may not coexist temporally with the intended recipient; and they alleviate ET's reasonable fear that the intended recipient might prove hostile." ET Probes: Looking Here as Well as There https://arxiv.org/abs/1609.04635 JOHN GERTZ is the President and CEO of Zorro Productions, Inc. He has produced four Zorro motion pictures, including The Mask of Zorro (1998) and its sequel, The Legend of Zorro, with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. During his tenure, 14 different TV versions of Zorro have been produced, as well as more than 75 ZORRO stage productions. In 2005, together with world-renowned author Isabel Allende, he released the best-selling novel about the genesis of Zorro. He teamed up with Quentin Tarantino to create the graphic novel, Django/Zorro, currently being developed into a motion picture by SONY. Gertz is the worldwide lead producer of Zorro: The Musical, with a score by the Gipsy Kings, which premiered on London's West End in 2008 and has since been produced throughout the world. Gertz is a leader in the field of SETI, the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, having served three terms as chairman of the board of the SETI institute; and he has published a number of theoretic papers in peer reviewed astronomical journals.

Yo! Ross promised you we'd only be a day late and here we are, one day late and twice as cold. Anywho, what even is time? This week's episode starts with two of Ross's favourite things, musicals and movies abusing his favourite characters. We share the real reason Disney made Frozen and dream about Lock, Stock and two smoking Hercules. We speculate on Zorro's clothing items and how many movies they can produce. The Brasse prove that manifesting movies into reality is not possible and get sad about Lightyear not making monies. We then obviously make inappropriate jokes while talking about a kids film and try our best to reassure people that there are more than enough MCU characters that can still be explored. We unfortunately have WAY too much Ezra Miller news (hopefully for the last time). Ross also sneaks in a special bit of news to get Jody excited and remind everyone that Sean Connery was very comfortable with smacking ladies. This week we review the most legaciest of legacy sequels, Top Gun: Maverick. We heard some good things but, as you know, nothing is ever sure until we see it. Will it be kwai or naaai? When you go into the same field as a successful parent, there are inevitably going to be comparisons about how you measure up to their accomplishments. When you're Brennan Wagner and that parent is Matt Wagner, the accomplishments you're measuring up against are numerous. But Brennan hasn't let that stop him. In fact, you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone dealing with it with more grace and humor than Brennan. Greg got a chance to finally talk to Brennan about not only his current work on the "Django/Zorro" series written by his father and drawn by Esteve Polls, but what it was like growing up in a family that also included just-retired legendary editor Diana Schutz and editor at Legendary (and Dark Horse, Oni, DC...) Bob Shreck! Brennan drops some truth bombs about being a colorist in this industry, just how many Eisners Dave Stewart has, his own art preferences and influences, and the joys of home-cooked meats. All that and more on today's episode! Robots From Tomorrow is a weekly comics podcast recorded deep beneath the Earth's surface.
