Recharting Your Life With Hope -Get Unstuck and Discover Direction, Purpose, and Joy for Your Life
Tajuana is one of the easiest people to talk to, she made it seem like we'd known each other forever. If you're feeling stuck, her zen vibe and can-do attitude will pull you out of your rut on this episode. Tijuana's FB link and her email Key points: Give when you're able, inspire when you can. Serving others can give you a sense of purpose. Burnout can look like being Irritable, not wanting to meet the day, not being fully present in your life, and physical symptoms like being achy and inflamed. Try mixing iti up with doing lots of different things both for your career and otherwise. . Burnout is lower in clinicians who work more than one job. Add in creativity, it engages you in a new way. Listen to those inner pulls for each season of life. Allow yourself to be gung ho and then phase out, Even if your new endeavors don't resonate with those around you, allow yourself to be a unicorn and do things that light you up. Have fun, figure out what feels rewarding. Then try it out and learn about yourself in the process. You can't control circumstances in life but you can add in intentional practices like setting a timer twice a day to take a deep breath, stretching, yoga, or walks outside. Have grace for yourself, sometimes you'll make decisions that feel like mistakes. No one has all the answers, forgive yourself for the missteps and move forward, don't be afraid to seek out help or take steps in a new direction. You don't have to just have one lane in life, you can have lots of identities, in fact, it will probably be more fulfilling. If you liked what you heard and want help with your own burnout journey, I'd love to talk. I'm writing a book on how to heal from burnout (due out 1/25), and I have a group coaching starting mid-August after my wild kids go back to school. I first heard this quote at one of my most difficult times. I was feeling sorry for myself and was pointing the finger and blaming everyone else but me. I was going through a divorce and realized that if things were going to change in my life, I would be the one to change them. "No one is coming to save you" gave me the tenacity to look at how I was showing up in my life, take ownership of my choices and begin the slow process of creating the life I wanted to live! At What the Quote, we create Kind Humans, who speak Kindness and show Kindness! Each episode begins with the Highly Anticipated theme song (Be A Kind Human) created and sang by the host, Tajuana. Fear is something that keeps many of us stuck, in judgment and living cycles of the same life each and every day! I have found when I have done the very things I was afraid to do, I was able to experience love, appreciation and the magic of doing something I did not feel able to do. We are all fearful at times, but the beauty of life is moving past the fear to experience everything that you were created to do. Ilyanla Vanzant is known by many and loved by even more. She's an inspirational speaker, lawyer, author, life coach and television personality. I have heard her say many thought provoking quotes over the years and this is one of my favorites. Favorites because it is one of the things that many of us don't want to do. Each and every Kind Human deserves forgiveness and that included us. We deserve to forgive ourself for the things we were unaware that we were doing. "Forgive Everybody for Everything!" I have heard many different versions of this quote for many years. It always comes to me at just the right time. When I stated my brick and mortar paint and sip business, Mimosa and a Masterpiece, in downtown Indy, I said this to myself many times. I thought that I would open my business and floods of people would bust through the doors each day. In reality, it took over 6 months to build up my client base. But during that time, I was able to adjust, make mistakes in a small way and learn that I was growing at just the right speed. Her focus with them includes leveraging LinkedIn to establish brand credibility, publishing their first Best Selling book to solidify brand authority and building their paid-speaking business to increase brand exposure. In the process, her clients receive a healthy dose of 'tough love', which empowers them to get over themselves and their limiting beliefs, so they can rock their brands with confidence. Featured on C-Suite Network's ‘Best Seller TV', in ‘The BIA Brand Magazine', on the cover of ‘Entrepreneurs of Color Magazine' and various podcasts, Tajuana's influence has allowed her to speak on stages across the country. Catch her on a mission to change the world, one brand at a time, rocking her signature “Mohawk, Blazer and Chucks”. In this episode, we interviewed the Queen Bee of LinkedIn, Tajuana Ross, otherwise known as The LinkedIn Professor. Tajuana teaches entrepreneurs and wantrepreneurs how to go from being the HUNTER to the HUNTED on LinkedIn. This by far is one of our favorite interviews because we learned sooo much about how to leverage LinkedIn for your business. Make sure you listen to the entire interview where you'll learn: The biggest mistake people make on their profile what type of content you should be posting on LinkedIn Where you should be hanging out on LinkedIn Why you should be very choosy who you send a connection request to and what to do instead The most important page on LinkedIn
I thought my LinkedIn profile was "the bomb diggity," but it wasn't, as I learned from the LinkedIn Professor, Tajuana Ross. I learned of her from another colleague and guest of the show Bernadette L. Harris, and boy was she on point. After scheduling my session with the LinkedIn Professor, I knew I had to make some changes and I did. Afterward, I invited Tajuana to come on the podcast and share with you what we talked about in our session so you can benefit as well. If you think your LinkedIn profile is Da Bomb, you don't need to listen in. However, if you need some assistance that will BLOW your mind AND get you clients, tune in! Learn more about the LinkedIn Professor here. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/unmarketyourbusiness/support
