How to include the bio of your guest in a podcast episode is a topic of some debate in the industry, and it should really come down, as it always does, to the type of show you're creating and your goals for it, as well as your personal tastes and preferences.I've been known to say that it's best not to have your guests share their own origin story on your podcast so that you can get right to the meat of the content more quickly. As a listener of this show, you'll know that makes me a terrible hypocrite, because I often start interviews by asking the guests to talk about their company and their podcast.I've tried just getting into a conversation, and honestly, for me, I find it a little too awkward and since my main goal of the podcast is building strong relationships, that's really okay. Maybe it's not perfect, but it's much better than fumbling the kickoff every week and feeling weird going into that kind of conversation.But I'm talking to someone today who is awesome at that particular strategy of skipping the intro and getting right into the heart of things immediately. Welcome to the 20th Episode of Small Business Sales & Strategy Podcast!  I cannot believe we are at 20 episodes already!!! Time flies when you are having fun!   Today's episode is about delegation in small business. In our small business, we have been evaluating our daily, weekly and monthly tasks, and where we can do a better job.  Some of the discussion has been centered around delegating the tasks that don't need to be done by us as owners, and I was excited to read a passage of scripture during my quiet time a few mornings ago! Acts 6:1-7 talks about how the 12 apostles knew they were called to spend time in prayer, spread the GOOD NEWS of Jesus and The Word of God so that the number of believers would continue to grow.  They were getting complaints within the group of believers that people were unhappy with how food was being managed and distributed.  So, instead of becoming distracted with these types of tasks, they came together and developed a plan to delegate so that they could stay doing the things that moved the needle in their "business" (their "business" was spreading God' message of hope and freedom in Jesus). So, they found 7 people that were wise and filled with the Holy Spirit to take over management and distribution of the food.  They DELEGATED.    So how do we decide what to delegate?  Let me introduce you to Eisenhower's Matrix!  There are four categories in Eisenhower's matrix that will help you decide what YOU need to do now, what needs scheduled, what you can DELEGATE, and what you can/should delete (my favorite category!!!).  I explain how to determine what goes in each category and I also give some examples.  I hope this episode sets you free to delegate in your business and personal life in whatever stage of business and life you are in!   Don't forget to join my *FREE* Facebook Community for Women in Small Business --> https://www.facebook.com/groups/367731782244780   Join my email list for my *FREEBIE* to improve communication with your customers and within your team --> www.lindsayfletcher.co   Need sales training or a speaker for your event?  Let's connect! In most cases, a past goal or desire will remain a goal or desire weeks, months, or even years from now if you don't make changes and achieve your goals. I think you may see the pattern here. But regardless of the reason or the ignition to acknowledge a change or even pursue a change or declare a goal, if one does not take action in the pursuit and possess the discipline to see it through, nothing will ever happen, no change will occur, and nothing will be accomplished. So instead of beating around the bush, let's talk about it. With the state of various social media platforms in distress and others seemingly becoming ineffective to help you reach and convert new audiences, it is time we go back to the fundamentals of content marketing. Your target audience is too big. You're moving too fast. Your sales messaging is too broad. What you need to do is think smaller, move slower, and be more specific with your offer in order to grow your business. The reality is, in many cases, we either have too much zeal or too much fear to change directions when clearly we've hit a massive roadblock that is not going away anytime soon. If you're serious about leveling up the abundance of your business now and in the years to come, you might need to hit ctrl, alt, delete, and end all tasks. Clear everything. Then reprioritize your priorities, marketing and sales efforts, and your overall business approach to how you position, present, and project the value of your offer. P.S. A confused mind will never buy. To be real, if you aren't getting the attention, the engagement, the conversations, and ultimately the sales you want, it's because of either two things: 1) you're talking to the wrong audience or 2) what you're saying doesn't make sense to anyone, and therefore no one sees your value will not and buy your product or service.The biggest reason you're not getting where you want to go, making the money you want to make is because you aren't being clear enough about who you serve, what it is that you do, what marketing tactics you need to do, your sales techniques you need to implement, and your brand messaging. You may think you are speaking in a language your ICP can understand and see the value of your MVP. But let's keep it real, if that were the case, you'd be making the money and success you wanted by now.This episode is not meant to hurt but to provide tough love and challenge you to look at every part of your business differently in order for you to grow to the level you want starting right now. P.S.
