If you're looking for calm, structure, and professionalism… you are aggressively lost. This episode of The Rizzuto Show is a daily comedy show operating at full chaos capacity. We kick things off with one of the most on-brand news stories in American history: a police officer named John Murica hitching a ride on the back of a Ford pickup truck to catch a bike thief. Was it the Fourth of July? Sadly no. Was “Fortunate Son” playing? Absolutely yes. Is this the most patriotic thing to happen this year? We're saying yes without hesitation. Then things spiral into a brand-new game: Around the Horn – Mind Meld Edition, where the gang attempts to think alike and instead exposes just how differently their brains are wired. Winter activities, ice cream toppings, body parts, doctor's offices — friendships are tested, conspiracies are accused, and Scott's handwriting once again becomes the villain. From there, we dive headfirst into one of the most heated debates the show has ever hosted: Seattle vs Boston — which city is the better rock town? Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Hendrix, Aerosmith, Dropkick Murphys… the receipts are pulled, the bias is admitted, and an expert is called in to officially settle it. (Boston fans, maybe sit this one out.)Sports fans aren't left behind either. Cardinals broadcaster Chip Carey joins the show to finally explain what the hell is going on with Cardinals games, streaming, cable, MLB involvement, and why it shouldn't feel this complicated to watch baseball in 2026. We also get into trades, prospects, Yadi's new role, and what the future actually looks like — minus the usual panic spiral. And just when you think things might settle down, Rizz casually reviews Rafe's new house live on the air, assigning it a numerical score like it's a kitchen remodel on HGTV. There are opinions on shoveling, floating stairs, blind dogs, grocery-bag moving strategies, and whether knocking on walls is normal human behavior. It's messy. It's loud. It's heartfelt for like 12 seconds before someone ruins it. In other words, it's a daily comedy show doing exactly what it does best.Follow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MO.Minivans Are Making a Comeback For All the Right Reasons Justin Fischer Costco x Nike SB Dunk Resale Prices: Inside the NumbersWashington Police Officer Named Merica Hops in Back of Resident's Pickup Truck to Catch up to Suspect on a BicycleSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Agile in Construction: Team Happiness as the True Measure of Scrum Master Success in Construction With Felipe Engineer-Manriquez Read the full Show Notes and search through the world's largest audio library on Agile and Scrum directly on the Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast website: http://bit.ly/SMTP_ShowNotes.   "The teams that are having fun and are light-hearted, making jokes—these are high-performing teams almost 99% of the time. But the teams that are overly sarcastic or too quiet? They're burning out." - Felipe Engineer-Manriquez   Felipe offers a refreshingly human definition of success for Scrum Masters: team happiness. After years of traumatic experiences in construction—days when he pounded his steering wheel in frustration during his commute—Felipe developed what he calls being a "human thermometer." He can sense a team's emotional state within 5 minutes of being with them. His proxy for success is a simple Likert scale of 1-5: 5 is Nirvana (working at Google with massages), and 1 is wanting to jump out the window. Felipe emphasizes that most people in construction internalize stress and push it down, so you have to ask directly. When he asked an estimator this question, the man quietly admitted he was at a 2—ready to walk away. Without asking, Felipe would never have known. The key insight: schedule improvements happen as teams move closer to a 5. And the foundation of it all? Understanding. "People do not have an overt need to be loved," Felipe shares from his Scrum training. "They have an overt need to be understood." A successful Scrum Master meddles appropriately, runs toward problems, and focuses on understanding teammates before trying to implement change.   Self-reflection Question: If you asked each of your team members to rate their happiness from 1-5 today, what do you think they would say, and what would you learn that you don't currently know? Featured Retrospective Format for the Week: Start/Stop/Keep Felipe's favorite retrospective format is Start/Stop/Keep—but his approach to introducing it is what makes the difference. He connects it to something construction teams already know: the post-mortem. He explains the morbid origin of the term (surgeons standing around a dead patient discussing what went wrong) to emphasize the seriousness of learning. Then he reframes the retrospective as a recurring post-mortem—a "lessons learned" cycle. Start: What should we begin doing that will make things better? Stop: What should we no longer do that doesn't add value? Keep: What good things are we doing that we want to maintain? Felipe uses silent brainstorming so everyone has time to think, then makes responses visible on a whiteboard or digital display. The cadence scales with sprint length—45 minutes for a week, 2 hours for two weeks, half a day for a month. His current team committed to monthly retrospectives and pre-writes their Start/Stop/Keep items, making the facilitated session efficient and focused.   [The Scrum Master Toolbox Podcast Recommends]

Hello my friends and welcome to another edition of my vinyl record radio disc jockey on the internet type thing we got going over here now. I've been snowed in the house for going on 3 days and I'm not a fan. Starting to develop the first symptoms of cabin fever, which was the title of a really nice mixtape that I rather enjoyed from Wiz Khalifa back in the day. This episode serves as a rock and roll example featuring familiar sounds to this podcast. Multiple examples of Hendrix, Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, some being vintage originals and some being new remastered 180 gram wax. You can't slow and throw every rock song but when it works it works. Good googly moogly Nutshell by Alice In Chains slowed and throwed is something to behold. A catapult into your feelings. Followed up by slowed and throwed Blink 182?? Get out of town. Just the other day my faithful space heater that I've had for a long time finally went kaputz right before this blizzard hit. Thankfully I did replace it but I didn't think I'd need a big one. This has been a mild winter so I bought the tiny heater. My little pigs are frozen but hey this little soldier has been kicking I'm proud of my little heater. We're doing our best to fight through and make it til the spring. I'm all sorts of fired up about replanting my flower bed wooooooow what a beating what am I even talking about. Oh and I might actually be the world champion of air drumming In Bloom by Nirvana. Any naysayers are welcome to challenge me. Until next time..Your Host with the MostTrilly Bob Thornton

In Part 2 of our conversation with Priya Hutner, we keep pulling back the curtain on life inside the Kashi Ashram and the world surrounding Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati (“Ma”), including what happens when devotion, hierarchy, and silence collide. Priya continues sharing her lived experience growing up in and around the ashram and how spiritual ideals were often used to excuse harm, blur boundaries, and shut down questions. We talk about the normalization of control and coercion in spiritual communities, the pressure to reframe pain as growth, and what it's like to realize—years later—that what you were taught was “love” or “service” didn't actually feel safe.We explore the long tail of cult recovery and religious trauma, especially for those raised in high-control spiritual environments where obedience was spiritualized and dissent was discouraged. We reflect on the complicated legacy of Ma, the culture of the ashram, and how charismatic leaders and closed communities can create conditions where harm goes unchecked. Priya's honesty adds to an essential conversation about accountability, healing, and reclaiming your voice after leaving a group that once defined your entire world.Be sure to check out Priya's book launching March 3, 2026, Chasing Nirvana: A Seeker's Story of Love, Loss and Liberation, and follow her on her website, Instagram, or Facebook. Also…let it be known that:The views and opinions expressed on A Little Bit Culty do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the podcast. This episode is sponsored by Betterhelp. In Part 1 of our conversation with writer Priya Hutner, she takes us inside her years at the Kashi Ashram, a spiritual community led by guru Ma Jaya Sati Bhagavati, AKA “Ma,” in New York. She unpacks how an intentional, service-oriented “ashram family” slowly revealed deeply culty dynamics beneath the incense and darshan (beholding). She traces her journey from an earnest young seeker drawn to Eastern spirituality, meditation, and seva (service), to an insider navigating Ma Jaya's love-bombing, manufactured mystique, public darshans and punishments, and the slow erosion of her autonomy and critical thinking in the name of devotion and ego death. We also get into the day-to-day life at Kashi—kids raised collectively, money and careers funneled into the guru's vision, romantic and family relationships controlled from the top—and how Priya eventually recognized spiritual abuse, trauma bonding, and high-demand group tactics that still affect former ashram members decades later.Be sure to check out Priya's book launching March 3, 2026, Chasing Nirvana: A Seeker's Story of Love, Loss and Liberation, and follow her on her website, Instagram, or Facebook. Also…let it be known that:The views and opinions expressed on A Little Bit Culty do not necessarily reflect the official policy or position of the podcast. Mary answers the question, "How do we offer Loving Kindness to those that commit atrocities?"  This is a common question, and is especially relevant right now. The heart practices do not ask us to ignore feelings or emotions that arise when faced with the violence and oppression so rampant today. Instead we are invited to greet whatever shows up and reflect on where we are and how we are holding our own pain. The heart practices invite us into our own healing which allows us to open to others.Recorded Jan. 10, 2026 in the virtual worldSend me a text with any questions or comments! The economic reflation narrative is back—but is it durable or just another market storyline driven by optimism and liquidity? Lance Roberts explains what investors mean by "economic reflation," why markets are once again pricing in stronger growth, and which data points are reinforcing the bullish case. We examine the role of monetary policy shifts, fiscal spending, labor market dynamics, and commodity trends that are supporting expectations for improving earnings and profitability. Just as importantly, we address the risks to the reflation narrative. Sticky inflation, slowing global growth, tighter financial conditions, and policy missteps could all challenge the assumption that reflation is sustainable. Markets often price in best-case outcomes long before the data confirms them—and that gap can matter for portfolio risk. We close with practical investor considerations, focusing on risk management, diversification, and how to think about portfolios when markets are caught between reflation optimism and late-cycle realities. This discussion is designed for investors seeking context, not predictions, and a disciplined framework for navigating shifting macro narratives. Rock and roll is not rock and roll without a beat. John Lingan's new book, BACKBEATS: A History of Rock and Roll in 15 Drummers (Scribner; Publication date: November 11, 2025) is an electrifying journey through the history of rock and roll, told through the lives of fifteen iconic drummers and their percussion rivals-from John Bonham and Charlie Watts to Ringo Starr and Questlove.Rock and roll thrives on rhythm, but the drummers who drive that pulse often stay in the shadows. In BACKBEATS, acclaimed music historian John Lingan brings these unsung heroes into the spotlight, delivering a fascinating journey through six decades of rock history.Lingan's deep research and vivid storytelling explores the lives of fifteen pathbreaking drummers and their fellow timekeepers-men and women who together laid down the beat of an era. From Bernard Purdie's legendary work with Aretha Franklin to Dave Grohl's funk- and punk-indebted swing for Nirvana, these drummers redefined what was possible in pop music. Iconic figures like Ringo Starr, whose inventive style transformed the Beatles, and Charlie Watts, the steady backbone of the Rolling Stones, take center stage. But Lingan doesn't stop there-he also shines a light on Hal Blaine, the backbone of the LA studio scene's "Wrecking Crew," groundbreaking, underappreciated talents like Maureen Tucker of The Velvet Underground, whose minimalist beats rewrote the rulebook, and Sam Lay, a pivotal figure in rock's evolution from the blues.Packed with insider stories and exclusive interviews-from Robert Plant's reflections on Led Zeppelin's legendary sessions to revered recording engineer Steve Albini's behind-the-scenes accounts-BACKBEATS offers an eye-opening glimpse into some of rock's most unforgettable moments, including the seismic shift of Bob Dylan going electric at Newport, James Brown's explosive creation of funk in the late sixties, and Slayer's role in the birth of LA thrash metal in the early eighties.More than just a tribute to an unrecognized group of virtuosos, this book is a love letter to the art of drumming itself. BACKBEATS shows how these remarkable artists not only kept the beat but drove rock and roll forward. It's a must-read for any music lover, offering a fresh and thrilling perspective on a story we only thought we knew.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/arroe-collins-unplugged-totally-uncut--994165/support.

There are a lot of misconceptions of basic Buddhist teachings and in this talk Mary reflects on a few. The Buddha did not say that "Life is Suffering", but instead that there is suffering, and there is a way out. Additionally, equanimity and being present for what is, does not condone injustice or greed, hatred and ignorance. Buddhist practice is a way of being in the world and fully engaged with it.Recorded Jan. 2, 2025 in the virtual worldSend me a text with any questions or comments! Undefended Dharma with Mary Stancavage

Delusion is one of the greatest impediments to freedom and in this talk, Mary discusses how being embodied and whole allows for clear seeing. Spoločnosť Paramount na jeseň tohto roka oznámila, že hudobná stanica MTV končí všade okrem Spojených štátov a Kanady. Prežije len kanál, ktorý vysiela reality shows. Končia u nás teda MTV Music, MTV 80s, MTV 90s, Club MTV a MTV Live.

"Shine On" Formed in Seattle in the late '80s, Sweet Water got their start under the moniker SGM. Comprised of childhood friends from the private Bush School, which we talk about a lot in this episode, SGM played with Nirvana and The Melvins and their 1988 Aggression album was produced by Jack Endino and was lauded by Sub Pop's Bruce Pavitt. A thrashy blast of American post-punk SGM underwent a few lineup changes, recruited a few new members and re-named themselves Sweet Water. Their 1992 self-titled indie album got them signed to Atlantic where they put out another self-titled album. They moved to EastWest Records, put out the Superfriends record, which was a catchy blast of glam, grunge and hard rock and from there, things get a tad confusing. Legal issues held the band in abeyance, so they played under the name Parc Boys with a C, put out a record, went back to being Sweet Water, recorded an album that was supposed to come out on the Enclave label but didn't and instead was released independently. Sweet Water took a break and didn't put any new music out until their fabulous 2009 effort Clear The Tarmac. Since then, they've put out EPs like Dance Floor Kills and their brand new long player Shine On. An infectious, hook-filled album that's rife with melodic muscle and hooks galore, Shine On is a shimmering effort that proves Sweet Water just keep getting better. Now, I mentioned The Bush School and for good reason--that Seattle school is kind of the secret hero of the Sweet Water story and you'll see why in a second. I'll let the fellas tell you everything, but let me say this: when the foundational education is one that fosters artistic freedom, students feel like they can do anything because they're not self-conscious, they're deeply brave and they're not afraid to make bold strikes out there in the world. And Sweet Water has made a career out of doing that.  www.sweetwaterrocks.com www.bombshellradio.com www.stereoembersmagazine.com www.alexgreenbooks.com IG + BLUESKY: @emberspodcast Email: editor@stereoembersmagazine.com
