    Nick kicks off the new year by focusing on the importance of strategic planning for business growth, examining the common pitfalls of overly complex strategies that hinder execution and introduces a practical one-page strategic plan framework used in private equity.  Nick outlines the six key components of this framework, including the exit vision, value creation thesis, strategic priorities, key metrics, critical constraints, and quarterly rocks KEY TAKEAWAYS A strategic plan should be concise and fit on a single page. Overly complex strategies can hinder execution and lead to confusion among team members. The key to successful strategy is not just in planning but in execution. Clear ownership of tasks and regular reviews are essential to ensure that the plan is actively followed and adapted as needed. A one-page strategic plan should include six main components: exit vision, value creation thesis, three strategic priorities, key metrics, critical constraints, and quarterly rocks. Each component plays a crucial role in guiding the business towards its goals. The strategic plan should be a living document that is reviewed weekly and updated quarterly. This ensures that the team remains aligned and focused on the most important objectives. BEST MOMENTS "Most business owners start off with overly complex strategies that cause them to fail when it comes to execution."  "If your strategy doesn't fit on one page, you don't have a strategy, you have a wish-list."  "The planning process itself becomes the goal, not the outcome. And that is a huge, huge mistake."  "If you can't fit your strategy on one page, you don't have strategic clarity yet." VALUABLE RESOURCES Get the 1-Page Strategic Plan today. Meanwhile, Japan's move to normalize interest rates could trigger a massive repatriation of capital that impacts global markets, while in the UK, Prime Minister Starmer faces a difficult year of economic stagnation, surviving largely because there is no clear alternative to his leadership.October 18701

He believes this job is one of the most challenging - and important - of his career. In a wide ranging conversation, the ambassador describes his life in Moscow over the last two years: a period of heightened tensions between the UK and Russia after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.The number of diplomats in the city has been drastically reduced and, for a British ambassador in Moscow, there are daily challenges to deal with. You're going to hear his experience of being followed wherever he goes in Russia and how, on occasions, his staff face harassment. He sees a key part of his job - defusing potentially dangerous diplomatic misunderstanding with the Russian government. He also reveals the gap between the anti-British rhetoric heard in the country's state media and the genuine curiosity of ordinary Russians towards the UK. I have enjoyed his content for months, and it was a pleasure to hear his deeper, unfiltered perspective. We discussed U S involvement in Venezuela and Colombia, proxy conflicts, oil politics, and disappearing accountability for war crimes. We examined the illusion of political choice in America, the Israel Palestine conflict, the rise of China, and the financial systems that keep people indebted while power concentrates at the top. In the final part, we shifted toward faith, discipline, hardship, and the overlooked contributions of Islamic civilisation to science and culture.     It's a new year and we are finding out about the hopes and aspirations of three young disabled people around the UK. At 17, Niamdh is School Captain at her college in Scotland and hoping for a career in politics. She took her council to court not too long ago and won a case which now ensures she gets adequate BSL support in the classroom - since then, she's been flying. Seren has just started a new job in social media and is loving it. She has 750k of her own followers. But being blind means it hasn't always been easy to get companies to take her seriously when she applies for jobs. Seren gives some thoughts on when you should declare your disability on a job application and how she has landed a job in a supportive company. And Izemrasen is 27 and working as a personal trainer in a gym. He's adapted his aspirations and career goals over the years due to creeping Ehlers Danlos Syndrome - a connective tissue disorder. He has become a regular wheelchair user and gives some top tips on how to find your voice and ask for the support you need. Plus, BBC journalist Kit Taylor gives analysis on the bigger picture for young people.     Bangers and mash in action for our first poet. Tim Key, an English poet, comedian, actor and screenwriter, joins Nick and Angela to fire up Dish in 2026. Last year was a huge one for Tim, made notable by the release of The Ballad Of Wallis Island, a film he stars in alongside best friend Tom Basden. The pair wrote the screenplay together, basing it on a short film they had made nearly 20 years earlier. It has amassed critical and popular acclaim, winning three British Independent Film Awards.  Alongside The Ballad... Tim released a book of poems, L.A. Baby!, and launched his latest stand-up show Loganberry, which returns for a new tour across the UK from February. He's a long-time collaborator with former Dish guest Steve Coogan, appearing with Coogan in Saxondale and a number of Alan Partridge projects.  Tim loves the pub, loves fish and chips, and believes he has worked out how to get the most out of Dish through his list of likes and dislikes. With a Five Points beer in hand, he is served sticky sausage & apple braise with a mash that, as always, becomes quite the talking point. Waitrose's wine experts have paired the meal with a Château Maris Organic Les Planels. With poetry, laughter and stories about pub characters and eating in the bath, our first episode of the year is a bumper one to get us all going. And, in case you are wondering, Helena Bonham Carter is up next week for our final episode of Season 8.  You can watch full episodes of Dish on YouTube and, new for this season, on Spotify.  All recipes from this podcast can be found at waitrose.com/dishrecipes A transcript for this episode can be found at waitrose.com/dish If you want to get in touch with us about anything at all, contact dish@waitrose.co.uk  Dish from Waitrose is made by Cold Glass Productions Learn more about your ad choices. This is despite US tariffs which were initially set at to 49%, but later negotiated down to ~20%. At the same time, Chinese exports to the US plunged -40% YoY in Q3 2025. This comes as the region has a massive cost advantage over US and European manufacturing, which ranges from 20% to 100%, even after tariffs. Companies use Southeast Asian economies as alternative export bases to avoid China’s 37% reciprocal tariff. As a result, the amount of trade rerouting from China hit a record $23.7 billion in September. Anchored by the Trump Corollary, asserting a sovereign, American‑led Western Hemisphere and demonstrated in both the flawless military operation in Venezuela and the broader regime‑pressure strategy, this doctrine is not theater but an integrated fusion of economic, security, and hemispheric power. These changes are as profound in their structural implications as the original Jacksonian pivot, and those who assume Trump is a merely performative politician and strategist are therefore sorely mistaken, confusing a disruptive style with a coherent focused project to realign America's coalition, its economic model, and its role in the world. DOGE Corporation for Public Broadcasting Board Votes to Dissolve Organization in Act of Responsible Stewardship to Protect the Future of Public Media   The Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB), the private, nonprofit corporation created by Congress to steward the federal government's investment in public broadcasting, announced today that its Board of Directors has voted to dissolve the organization after 58 years of service to the American public. The decision follows Congress's rescission of all of CPB's federal funding and comes after sustained political attacks that made it impossible for CPB to continue operating as the Public Broadcasting Act intended. Greenland is the theatre where any strategic exchange between Washington and Moscow is contested. If you want to intercept a ballistic missile, the best point to do so is at the apogee, at the top of the flight path. The shortest route for an interceptor to get to an apogee is from directly below the apogee. That's where Greenland is. So, without stating what should happen here, this is **why** the Trump administration says they **need** Greenland for national security. The other thing that is happening is that the Northern Passage through the Arctic is opening up, and soon there will be Chinese cargo ships sailing through the Arctic to Rotterdam. It's faster than the Suez and the ships aren't limited to Suezmax size so China and EU trade is going to accelerate a lot. This means Chinese submarines will also be venturing under the Arctic into the Northern Atlantic, IF THEY AREN'T ALREADY DOING SO. Hence, the North East coast of Greenland serves not 1 but 2 critical strategic security objectives of US national security. If this wasn't clear to you, please understand that the Mercator global map projection is for children and journalists only. It is not a useful guide to where any countries or territories actually are in the real world that we live in. No self respecting adult should be using Mercator for their worldview. They insist the world runs on rules now and that borders are sacred. Also that true power has been replaced by paperwork. This belief is not moral in the least. It's f*****g archaeological. They live inside institutions built by violence, defended by men they no longer understand, and guaranteed by forces they refuse to acknowledge. Like tourists wandering a fortress, they admire the stonework while mocking the idea of a siege. They confuse order with nature. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Then blame the person that reminds them of this. Civilization is not the default state of humanity. It is an achievement that is temporary, fragile, and expensive. It exists only where force once cleared the ground and still quietly patrols the perimeter. A lion does not debate the ethics of hunger. Neither does a starving empire. History is not a morality play, it is a pressure test. When pressure rises, abstractions collapse first. Laws follow power; they do NOT precede it. Property exists only where someone can prevent it from being taken. Sovereignty is not declared, it is enforced. The modern West outsourced this enforcement, then forgot the invoice existed. So when someone points out uncomfortable realities (whether about Greenland, Venezuela, or the broader balance of power) they respond with ritual incantations: “You can't do that.” “That's wrong.” “That's against the rules.” As if the rules themselves are armed. As if history paused because we asked nicely. This is how empires fall. Not from invasion alone, but from conceptual rot. From mistaking a long season of safety for a permanent condition. From believing lethality is immoral instead of foundational. Every civilization that forgot how violence works eventually relearned it the hard way. The conquerors did not arrive because they were monsters; they arrived because their victims could no longer imagine them. The tragedy is not that power still exists. The tragedy is that so many have forgotten it does. Idk who needs to hear this but civilization is a garden grown atop a graveyard. Ignore the soil, and someone else will plant something far less gentle. Hate me for being the messenger and asking the hard questions about conquest if you want. You're just wasting your time. War/Peace Zelenskyy Announces the Appointment of Former Canadian Deputy Prime Minister, Chrystia Freeland as Economic Advisor  Chrystia Freeland was the former lead of the Canadian trade delegation when Trudeau realized he needed to try and offset the economic damage within the renegotiated NAFTA agreement known as the USMCA. Freeland was also the lead attack agent behind the debanking effort against Canadian truckers who opposed the vaccine mandate. In addition to holding Ukraine roots, the ideology of Chrystia Freeland as a multinational globalist and promoter for the World Economic Forum's ‘new world order' is well documented.    given the recent revelations about billions of laundered aid funds being skimmed by corrupt members of the Ukraine government, we can only imagine how much of the recovery funds would be apportioned to maintaining the life of indulgence the political leaders expect. In response to the lucrative “voluntary” appointment, Chrystia Freeland has announced her resignation from Canadian government in order to avoid any conflict of interest as the skimming is organized. The “Coalition of the Willing” (including the UK, France, Germany, and others) is coordinating these pledges to reassure Kyiv, but the framework explicitly ties into U.S.-backed elements like ceasefire verification and long-term armaments.  Russia has not yet shown willingness to compromise on core demands, so the deal’s success remains uncertain, but this step advances the security pillar of the overall plan. President Trump signs Executive Order 14287 in the Oval Office. The title reads like standard bureaucracy: “Protecting American Communities from Criminal Aliens.” But in the third paragraph, a single phrase changes everything: Sanctuary jurisdictions are engaging in “a lawless insurrection against the supremacy of Federal law.” Insurrection. The exact statutory term from 10 U.S.C. §§ 332-333 . The language that unlocks the Insurrection Act of 1807. Georgetown Law professor Martin Lederman publishes analysis within days. The executive order mirrors Section 334 requirements. The formal proclamation to disperse before military deployment. It designates unlawful actors, issues formal warning, establishes consequences. Governors dismiss it as political theater. Constitutional attorneys recognize something else. The proclamation was already issued. Trump just didn't announce it as such. THE LEGAL FRAMEWORK January 20, 2025. Inauguration Day. Hours after taking the oath, Trump issues Proclamation 10886 declaring a national emergency at the southern border. Section 6(b) requires a joint report within 90 days on whether to invoke the Insurrection Act. The deadline falls April 20, 2025. Eight days later comes Executive Order 14287 . National emergency declaration establishes crisis conditions. The 90-day clock forces formal evaluation. The executive order provides the legal predicate. Section 334 of the Insurrection Act mandates the president issue a proclamation ordering insurgents to disperse before deploying military force. April 28 order satisfies every requirement. It names the actors. Describes their unlawful conduct. Warns of consequences. Grants opportunity to comply. Governors treated it as negotiation leverage. It was legal notification. The trap locked in April 2025. Everything since has been documentation. THE TESTING PHASE Throughout 2025, the administration attempts standard enforcement. National Guard deployments under existing authority. October 4, 2025 . Trump federalizes 300 Illinois National Guard members to protect ICE personnel in Chicago. Governor J.B. Pritzker files immediate legal challenge. Federal courts block the deployment. Posse Comitatus restricts military involvement in domestic law enforcement. November 2025 . Portland judge issues permanent injunction against Guard deployment in Oregon. December 23, 2025 . The Supreme Court denies emergency relief in Trump v. Illinois. Justice Kavanaugh files a brief concurrence with a consequential footnote: “One apparent ramification of the Court's opinion is that it could cause the President to use the U.S. military more than the National Guard.” Northwestern Law professor Paul Gowder decodes the signal : “This is basically an invitation for Trump to go straight to the Insurrection Act next time.” The courts established ordinary measures cannot succeed when states organize systematic resistance. They certified that regular law enforcement has become impracticable. They documented the exact threshold Section 332 requires. The founders designed a system that assumed conflict between federal and state authority. For decades, that friction was suppressed. Emergency powers normalized after 9/11, federal agencies expanded into state domains, courts deferred to administrative expertise. The Guard deployment battles weren't system failure. They were constitutional gravity reasserting itself. Courts blocking deployments under Posse Comitatus didn't weaken Trump's position. They certified that ordinary measures had become impracticable, crossing Section 332's threshold. December 31, 2025 . Trump announces Guard withdrawal from Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland via Truth Social. Governor Newsom celebrates: “President Trump has finally admitted defeat.” But the machine's interpretation misreads strategic repositioning as retreat. You cannot claim ordinary measures have been exhausted if contested forces remain deployed. Pull back. Let obstruction resume unchecked. Document the refusal. Then demonstrate what unilateral executive action looks like when constitutional authority aligns. THE DEMONSTRATION Trump v. United States . THE HIDDEN NETWORKS Intelligence sources describe what the roundups since fall 2025 actually target. Embedded cartel operatives running fentanyl distribution chains under state-level protection. The riots following military arrests aren't organic resistance. They're funded backlash from criminal enterprises losing billions. Pre-staged materials appear at protest sites. Simultaneous actions coordinate across jurisdictions. The coordination runs deeper. Federal employee networks across multiple agencies held Zoom training sessions in early 2025. Officials with verified government IDs discussed “non-cooperation as non-violent direct action,” the 3.5% rule for governmental collapse, and infrastructure sabotage through coordinated sick calls. They planned to make federal law enforcement impracticable. The exact language Section 332 requires. Sanctuary policies exist because cartel operations generate billions flowing through state systems. Governors sit on nonprofit boards receiving federal grants. Those nonprofits contract back to state agencies, cycling federal dollars through “charitable” organizations. Cartel cash launders through these same construction and real estate networks. When Trump's operations extract high-value targets, they disrupt the business model. The Machine defends itself through coordinated obstruction designed to make federal enforcement impracticable. This transcends immigration policy. This tests whether states can capture governance for criminal enterprises and nullify federal supremacy. THE LINCOLN PARALLEL Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation confounded supporters and critics alike. Abolitionists expected moral thunder. Instead they received dry legalese about “military necessity” and “war powers.” The document deliberately avoided the word “freedom.” It specified which states, parishes, counties. It exempted border states still in the Union. Constitutional historians recognize the genius. Lincoln wasn't making a moral proclamation. He was establishing irreversible legal predicate under war powers. Once issued, even Northern defeat couldn't fully restore slavery. The proclamation made restoration of the old order structurally impossible. Trump's April 28 order follows identical construction. Critics expected immigration rhetoric. Instead: technical language about “unlawful insurrection” and “federal supremacy.” Specified sanctuary jurisdictions, formal notification procedures, funding suspensions. Avoided inflammatory language. Constitutional attorneys recognize the structure. Irreversible legal predicate under insurrection powers. Even political defeat cannot fully restore sanctuary authority. States would have to prove they're not in systematic insurrection. Both presidents disguised constitutional warfare as administrative procedure. THE COMPLETE RECORD When you review the eight-month timeline you recognize what most ‘experts' miss. The April 28 EO satisfied every Section 334 requirement. It designated sanctuary conduct as insurrection. It provided formal notification. It established consequences. It granted eight months to comply. Compliance never arrived. California and New York passed laws shielding criminal networks. Illinois officials threatened to prosecute ICE agents. Multiple states coordinated legal defenses against federal authority. Courts blocked every standard enforcement attempt. They certified that ordinary measures have become impracticable. Every statutory requirement checks complete: Formal proclamation warning insurgents to disperse: April 28, 2025 Executive Order 14287 Extended opportunity to comply: Eight months from April to December 2025 Documented systematic multi-state obstruction: Sanctuary laws, prosecution threats, coordinated resistance Exhausted ordinary enforcement measures: Guard deployments blocked by federal courts Judicial certification of impracticability: Supreme Court ruling with Kavanaugh footnote The legal architecture stands finished. The predicate has been established. Only the final triggering event remains. Thomas Jefferson signed the Insurrection Act into law on March 3, 1807 . He understood executive authority: forge the instrument ahead of the storm, then await the conditions that justify its use. Abraham Lincoln used it to preserve the Union when eleven states organized systematic resistance. Ulysses S. Grant invoked it to shatter the Ku Klux Klan when Southern governments refused to protect Black citizens. Dwight Eisenhower deployed federal troops to enforce Brown v. Board when Arkansas chose defiance. Each invocation followed the same pattern. Local authorities refuse to enforce federal law. The president issues formal proclamation. Forces deploy when resistance continues. The current situation exceeds every historical precedent in scale and coordination. Multiple state governments coordinating systematic obstruction. Sanctuary jurisdictions spanning dozens of cities. Criminal enterprises funding the resistance through captured state institutions. The April proclamation gave them eight months to stand down. They chose escalation. THE COUNTDOWN The January 4 statement confirms what the legal timeline already established. Prerequisites met. Constitutional threshold crossed and judicially certified. The operational timeline is active. The next escalation triggers the formal dispersal order. Section 334 requires the president issue proclamation ordering insurgents to “disperse and retire peaceably to their abodes” before deploying military force. That's the legal tripwire. Once issued, if obstruction persists after the compliance window closes, federal troops can enforce federal law. Active duty forces under the Insurrection Act. Constitutional. Unreviewable. The forces won't conduct door-to-door immigration raids. They'll provide security perimeters while federal law enforcement executes targeted operations against high-value assets. Operatives. Trafficking nodes. Criminal infrastructure. Targeting oath-bound officials elected and appointed, as well as federal employees who swore to uphold federal law and chose insurrection instead. THE RESTORATION Sanctuary jurisdictions received explicit insurrection warnings last spring. More than half a year to comply. Every olive branch rejected. Courts blocked ordinary enforcement repeatedly, certifying impracticability. The Venezuela op demonstrated unilateral resolve. Yesterday's statement activated the operational sequence. Pattern recognized. Machine is exposed. Evidence is complete. What remains is execution. They're just waiting to hear it tick. The most powerful weapon restrains until every prerequisite aligns. Until mercy extends fully and meets systematic rejection. Until the constitutional framework demands its use. Every prerequisite has aligned. Mercy has been extended and rejected. The framework demands its use. Revolution destroys. Reversion restores. The Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves. The Insurrection Proclamation frees a republic.  https://twitter.com/EkoLovesYou/status/2008304655156342936?s=20 https://twitter.com/EricLDaugh/status/2008597603412308341?s=20 (function(w,d,s,i){w.ldAdInit=w.ldAdInit||[];w.ldAdInit.push({slot:13499335648425062,size:[0, 0],id:"ld-7164-1323"});if(!d.getElementById(i)){var j=d.createElement(s),p=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];j.async=true;j.src="//cdn2.customads.co/_js/ajs.js";j.id=i;p.parentNode.insertBefore(j,p);}})(window,document,"script","ld-ajs");

    Donate (no account necessary) | Subscribe (account required) Join Bryan Dean Wright, former CIA Operations Officer, as he dives into today's top stories shaping America and the world. In this Tuesday Headline Brief of The Wright Report, Bryan covers political fallout from Minnesota's massive Medicaid fraud scandal, disciplinary action against Senator Mark Kelly for seditious conduct, explosive courtroom revelations from Nicolás Maduro's arraignment, rising global instability tied to Trump's Venezuela decision, and new intelligence warnings involving China, Iran, Germany, and America's food supply. He closes with encouraging medical research on immune health and cancer prevention. Tim Walz Forced Out as Minnesota Fraud Probe Explodes: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz announced he is dropping his reelection bid after becoming a liability to Democrats over the nine billion dollar Somali Medicaid fraud scandal. Federal investigators are now probing what Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison knew and when, after state whistleblowers warned in 2018 that fraud at Feeding Our Future was obvious before any money was paid. Despite those warnings, hundreds of millions flowed to Somali nonprofits that later donated to Democratic campaigns. Prosecutors admit the fraud is so widespread that many participants may never face charges due to limited resources. Hilton Refuses to House DHS and ICE Officers: A Hilton franchise owner in Minneapolis refused rooms to DHS and ICE agents participating in an immigration crackdown, saying the hotel would not assist deportations. Corporate Hilton had not responded at the time of recording. Bryan urges listeners to remember this incident when choosing where to spend their travel dollars. Mark Kelly Punished for Seditious Conduct: Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth reduced Senator Mark Kelly's military retirement rank and pay after Kelly called on service members to refuse illegal orders from President Trump but could not identify any such orders. Hegseth said Kelly's actions constituted reckless misconduct and confirmed investigators are evaluating whether Kelly could be recalled to active duty for prosecution under military law. Maduro Pleads Not Guilty as Indictment Stuns: Former Venezuelan president Nicolás Maduro pleaded not guilty in Manhattan, declaring himself innocent and still the legitimate leader of Venezuela. Federal prosecutors released a detailed indictment outlining twenty-five years of cocaine trafficking, kidnappings, beatings, and murders ordered by Maduro and his family. His vice president, Delcy Rodríguez, vowed to resist the United States and declared Maduro a hostage, while Marxist guerrilla groups threatened attacks on Americans. Trump's Venezuela Decision Sends Shockwaves: The Wall Street Journal reports that President Trump repeatedly tried to negotiate Maduro's peaceful exit before losing patience after public taunts. His decision to authorize the capture has rattled regimes worldwide, including Iran. Reuters reports Iranian officials now fear Trump will act decisively if protests escalate, prompting the Ayatollah to quietly prepare escape plans to Russia along with billions in assets. China's Espionage Footprint Near U.S. Bases: A Chinese intelligence-linked individual owns two golf courses near Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana, home to America's nuclear bomber force. Chinese media openly described the courses as networking hubs for U.S. political and business elites. Bryan warns that such properties create serious espionage and sabotage risks, similar to a Chinese-owned trailer park near Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri. Threats to America's Food Supply: A new screwworm outbreak in Mexico threatens U.S. cattle just as Brazil reduces its breeding herd and America's cattle numbers hit historic lows. Bryan warns beef prices are likely to remain high for several years and advises listeners to stock freezers when possible. Left Wing Terrorism Returns in Germany: German officials warn left-wing terrorism is intensifying after radicals sabotaged power infrastructure in Berlin and Brandenburg, cutting electricity to forty-five thousand people. The attackers vowed to escalate assaults on oil and gas infrastructure nationwide. Promising Medical Research: German researchers found that supplementing with 1,000 milligrams of Urolithin A for 28 days significantly rejuvenated aging immune systems by restoring mitochondrial function. UK scientists also reported that ten minutes of intense daily exercise can slow or reverse colon cancer growth by triggering DNA repair and reducing inflammation.   "And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free." - John 8:32     Keywords: January 6 Wright Report, Tim Walz Medicaid fraud Minnesota, Feeding Our Future whistleblower Ellison, Hilton refuses ICE DHS rooms, Mark Kelly retirement demotion Hegseth, Maduro indictment Manhattan drug trafficking, Delcy Rodríguez resistance, Trump Venezuela decision global impact, China espionage Barksdale Air Force Base, screwworm outbreak beef prices, Germany left wing terrorism infrastructure attack, Urolithin A immune system study, exercise colon cancer DNA repair

    When your child is struggling with anxiety or OCD, fear can quietly take over your parenting. Fear of making things worse. Fear of missing something. Fear of what the future might hold. In this episode, I explore the hidden cost of parenting from that place.I talk about how fear often shows up in ways we don't always recognize, such as agitation, constant anxiety, over-cheerleading, or swinging into punitive responses when we are exhausted and overwhelmed. While these reactions are completely understandable, they can unintentionally undermine trust and keep both parent and child stuck.I also share how things shifted when I stopped parenting from fear and began meeting my child exactly where they were. That change did not mean doing less. It meant responding differently. By building trust and creating emotional safety, my child was able to feel more empowered and begin taking ownership of their own struggles.This episode is for parents who are trying their best but feel stuck in survival mode. We talk about how to recognize fear-driven parenting patterns and how moving toward a more anchored approach can change the tone of your relationship and support your child's growth.Learn how to be a solid anchor for your child in my free series. Believing the Bizarre: Paranormal Conspiracies & Myths

    The A70 UFO Incident | Paranormal Podcast In our first episode of 2026, we journey to Scotland to explore the A70 incident, one of the UK's most compelling alien abduction cases. On the night of August 27, 1992, Gary Wood and Colin Wright were driving south on the A70 highway near Edinburgh. As they traveled through the small town of Bonny Bridge—an area with over 300 UFO sightings annually—Colin spotted something unusual shoot across the sky. Minutes later, both men witnessed a massive two-tiered disc hovering just 20 feet above the road. Rather than stopping to observe this craft, Gary made the split-second decision to accelerate and try to drive underneath it. When they passed beneath the object, it released a shimmering silver mist that touched their car, plunging both men into complete darkness. What felt like only a few seconds to them turned out to be far more significant—when they regained their bearings and found themselves inexplicably driving in the opposite direction, they discovered they had lost approximately 90 minutes of time and arrived at their friend's house well past 2:00 AM. The aftermath of this encounter proved even more disturbing than the initial experience. Gary began suffering from severe, unexplainable headaches that led to extensive medical testing including MRIs, CAT scans, and even a spinal tap—all of which came back with no answers from confused doctors. Desperate for understanding, both men turned to the British UFO Research Association, which recommended hypnotic regression with Dr. Helen Walters, a qualified hypnotist and psychic. During these sessions, Gary—a hardened ambulance driver who had seen countless traumatic situations—burst into tears and had to be escorted out of his first regression, while Colin remained eerily calm throughout. Through multiple sessions, both men independently described being taken aboard the craft by three six-foot-tall gray beings with large heads, dark eyes, and four long fingers, then being led through circular hallways into fog-filled rooms where they were stripped and examined.

    Send us a textIn this episode of the Gotta Be Saints Podcast, I'm joined by Dr. Angela Costley, a Hebrew Catholic theologian and Scripture professor based in the UK, to talk about what it means to be both Jewish and Catholic—not as a contradiction, but as a fulfillment.We discuss why the phrase “Jewish Catholic” can sound confusing at first, how the Church is grafted onto the “olive tree” of Israel (Romans 9–11), what Vatican II helped recover about the Church's relationship to the Jewish people, and why Hebrew Catholics need space to live their Jewish identity faithfully within the Church.This conversation draws from Dr. Costley's work as co-editor of From Sinai to Rome: Jewish Identity in the Catholic Church—a book that doesn't shy away from the painful history of Jewish-Catholic relations, while also offering real hope for the future.About Dr. Angela CostleyHebrew Catholic theologian based in the UKScripture professor at St Mary's College (seminary)Studied at Durham, Oxford, and earned her PhD at the Pontifical University in MaynoothBoard member of the Association of Hebrew CatholicsIn this episode, we talk about:What a “Jewish Catholic” is (and why it isn't a contradiction)Why Catholicism can be understood as the heir of “Temple Judaism” fulfilled in ChristThe Mass and the fulfillment of temple worship and offerings“Salvation comes from the Jews” (John 4:22) and what Catholics should do with thatRomans 9–11 and the image of the olive tree (Israel as root; Gentiles grafted in)Why the Church isn't a “new Israel,” but Israel in fulfillmentJewish identity as personal and collective (and why assimilation can be spiritually damaging)The Association of Hebrew Catholics and the need for community and witnessFacing hard history: antisemitism, misunderstandings, and doctrinal developmentWhy friendship and dialogue matter for healing and authentic witness todayHope in Romans 11 (“all Israel will be saved”) and what that means going forwardDr. Costley's “Mount Rushmore of saints,” her hoped-for patronage, and how to pray for herGet the Book

    Handy Travel Tips for Your Ireland Trip in 2026

    If you're planning a trip to Ireland in 2026 these tips will make planning smoother, help you avoid crowds, and maybe even save you a bit of money. Probably the most important tips are when NOT to be in Dublin, but there are some updates to European entry & exit systems that you need to know, as well as really important advice for 2027. Jody Halsted – Ireland Family Vacations and the Traveling in Ireland podcast In case you're wondering why you would want to get your Ireland travel advice from me… My name is Jody Halsted, and I am an Ireland travel advisor. I have been traveling to and through Ireland for over 23 years (!!), publish Ireland Family Vacations, host the Traveling in Ireland podcast, assist hundreds of travelers with their Ireland vacations each year and, occasionally, I also host small group tours through Ireland (I have 2 this spring so you can look forward to some live from Ireland episodes in April and May). That's a lot! But Ireland travel is my passion; and my goal -100% – is to help you have an amazing Ireland vacation. And I have quite a few ways to do that. My website, Ireland Family Vacations, is a complete resource for Ireland vacation planning – filled with information on what to do & see as well as handy tips for planning your trip and free itineraries to get your plans in motion quickly. (Don't let the name fool you! I travel through Ireland solo, with my husband, with my family, and hosting small group tours. Whatever your group size or dynamic I am able to assist!) My itinerary personalization, vacation coaching, and custom itinerary creation services help you maximize your Ireland experience, and my small group guided tours are designed to not only deliver the ‘authentic' Ireland of your dreams but also introduce you to the people and hidden places that make the country so very magical. If you love the process of planning your trip the Ireland Travel Compass walks you step-by-step through my expert process, from when to visit and how long the perfect vacation lasts, to what to see, where to stay, and even what to eat. It's basically my entire Ireland vacation planning brain laid out. On a more personal note, I have 2 daughters, now in college, who have been traveling through Ireland with me since before they could toddle and one very supportive husband (who loves it when I plan other people's vacations because it means I'm not planning my own). At Malahide Castle (It's probably time to get new family photos done)By Aoife for Flytographer; Dublin, Ireland. All rights reserved. Now that you know all about me, let's jump into what you need to know as you consider planning an Ireland vacation in 2026! This article is based on Traveling in Ireland podcast episode 320. Use the player below to listen or scroll to continue reading the article and get resource links. 2026 Ireland Travel Tips You Need Ireland Travel Rules & Regulations There are currently no restrictions in place for North Americans traveling to Ireland.Ireland travel restrictions and other requirement are found here. In Case of Cancellation Read and understand cancellation policies on everything from flights and transportation to tours and accommodations before booking. If booking with a credit card be aware of the cancellation coverage you may have with that card. I highly recommend purchasing travel insurance if you book tickets our tours that don't allow 100% refund if cancelled. And always if you are booking a tour package (and not necessarily the one the company offers). 2026 Looks like Another Busy Year from Travel to Ireland from North America Irish tourism numbers showed that tourism from Europe into Ireland was down, but numbers from North America remained steady. From my perspective things are already looking busy, especially in the months of May, late August, and September. (The shoulder season is the new high season.) More Direct Flights to Ireland in 2026 Aer Lingus, Ireland's flagship airline is adding 2 new US routes in 2026, bringing the total to 18 routes from Dublin!This is important because Aer Lingus is considered a ‘budget' carrier. And when budget carriers enter a market, US based airlines will drop rates to compete.

    In our first episode of 2026, the legendary UK record producer, remixer, and dub pioneer Adrian Sherwood reflects on his fourth solo studio effort, The Collapse of Everything, released last summer on his On-U Sound label. He explains how the album's melodic, contemplative sonic headspace balances modern plugin technology with the raw, "breathing" energy of live performances. He also talks about many of his collaborators like Doug Wimbish and Brian Eno, but also dear departed cohorts such as Keith LeBlanc, Mark Stewart, and Lee "Scratch" Perry. Over his five-decade career, Sherwood has become synonymous with a distinctive "sound-scientist" approach to the mixing desk, most notably associated with the groundbreaking projects African Head Charge, the industrial-funk powerhouse Tackhead,  rhythmic explorers Dub Syndicate, and the seminal roots-dub band Creation Rebel.   The Record Store Day Podcast is a weekly music chat show written, produced, engineered, and hosted by Paul Myers, who also composed the theme music and selected interstitial music.  Executive Producers (for Record Store Day) Michael Kurtz and Carrie Colliton.
