In this episode, I share the deeper psychological lessons inside the new Diddy documentary, not to debate guilt or innocence, but to understand the human systems that create cycles of power, harm, silence, and attachment. This isn't a Hollywood story or an industry story. It's a human story. The documentary made Diddy feel more human rather than less, and that's what makes it so unsettling. When you look closely at the incentives, the grooming, the rewards, the fear, the validation, and the primal drives behind the behavior, you start to see a spectrum that exists in all of us — the universal instincts for status, belonging, intimacy, dominance, and connection. I also talk about Cassie, Kirk Burrowes, and the partners who stayed inside that ecosystem, not to blame but to understand the psychological gravity of coercive control. When we understand the forces acting on people — the love-bombing, the fear, the dependency, the identity fusion — we gain clarity on why people stay, why people participate, and why some people break free. This video is ultimately about human nature, accountability, restraint, and how to build relationships where love and power don't collapse into each other. If you or someone you care about has experienced sexual assault or abuse, you are not alone. Billy Hallowell noticed something that should bother Christians: every October, Hollywood releases films about demons, possessions, and the supernatural—and audiences pack theaters. Meanwhile, many churches won't touch these topics with a ten-foot pole. The CBN journalist, TV host, and documentary filmmaker joins Blurry Creatures to explore this disconnect and share what he discovered while making "Investigating the Supernatural: Miracles." Billy walks through verified cases of miraculous healings, including a man who was dead for 40 minutes—pronounced dead, shocked 12 times, being prepped for the morgue—before a praying doctor saw him come back to life with a perfect heartbeat. These aren't secondhand stories; Billy investigated them with the rigor of a journalist, seeking medical records, eyewitness accounts, and expert analysis. He issues an open challenge to skeptics and cessationists alike: watch the documentary and then explain what happened, because he couldn't find any naturalistic explanation. The conversation goes deeper into why Billy believes the church's silence on the supernatural is a massive failure. He argues that secular materialism has seeped into Christian thinking, leaving believers with a "truncated view" of spiritual reality that leaves them unable to understand the world around them—from geopolitics to personal struggles. Billy shares his conviction that UFO and alien phenomena are demonic in origin, meant to redirect attention away from God, and he sees the current mainstream interest in these topics as a door Christians should be walking through. The episode also addresses the dangerous theology that blames sick people for lacking faith, what near-death experiencers consistently report about God's love, and why humility—not dramatic encounters—is the real catalyst Billy has observed in countless conversion stories. Plus, in true Blurry Creatures fashion, we explore whether Bigfoot could be demonic, a "rental car" for spiritual entities, or something else entirely. On the night of March 9, 1963, officers Karl Hettinger and Ian Campbell made a traffic stop on the corner of Carlos Avenue and Gower Street and Hollywood. Early that day, the officers had been instructed to seek out and bust anyone they suspected of being engaged in gay sexual activity, and that night they were confident they'd found two men that fit the bill. However, after Campbell instructed both men to step out of the car, the driver, Gregory Powell, pulled out a pistol and held it on Campbell, effectively disarming him, while other man, Jimmy Smith, disarmed Hettinger. The two officers were then forced into Powell's car and driven more than one hundred miles away, where they executed Ian Campbell, while Hettinger escaped into a nearby onion field and managed to find help at the home of a farmer. The murder of Ian Campbell in the onion field shocked residents of California, not only because it was so cold-blooded, but also because of how the incident unfolded. By yielding to the demands of their hostage taker and handing over his gun, many people felt that Hettinger was at least partially responsible for Campbell's death. Powell and Smith were quickly captured, tried, and convicted for the murder, but the consequences of that night in the onion field would have a profound and lasting effect on police policy all over the country for years to come.Recommendations in this episodeFollow @themhoffers Follow @annaleegrace15  ( YouTube  or Instagram)Follow @ChefRileyMeehan and Purchase his book A Little Bit ExtraReferencesAssociated Press. 1963. In this week's episode, we dive into the life of Hollywood's original “I'll do it my way” girl: Katharine Hepburn. From growing up in a fiercely progressive household (her mom was literally fighting for birth control while her dad was lecturing on public health) to reinventing herself as the pants wearing, ice-bath-taking, golf obsessed wellness influencer of 1930, Hepburn was never going to fit the studio mold. We unpack her rise from east coast tomboy to four time Oscar winner, the rumors, the reinventions, the romances (real and speculated), and the unapologetic independence that made her a legend. It's a story of privilege, pressure, feminism before we called it that, and the price of living life on your own terms in old Hollywood. History is just gossip, and this is Hepburn like you've never heard her. Travis sits down with actor‑turned‑entrepreneur Ryan Rottman, cofounder of AthleteAgent.com, an IMDb‑style database for the sports world. From training as a business major and actor at Texas Tech to navigating constant rejection in Hollywood, Ryan shares how thick skin, relationships, and a love of sports led him to build the most extensive searchable sports database online, alongside partners like Aaron Rodgers and Nate Robb. On this episode we talk about: How Ryan's early trading and acting work out of college built the financial runway and mindset he needed to pursue creative projects What acting teaches about rejection, resilience, and treating yourself as a business—and how those lessons transfer directly into startups and fundraising The origin story of AthleteAgent.com, modeled after IMDb but built to centralize athlete data, representation info, and off‑field opportunities Why most athletes beyond the top 1% are massively under‑monetized, and how better visibility can unlock endorsements, podcast bookings, investments, and partnerships The realities of building a tech platform from scratch—finding dev teams, talking to 100+ investors, and expanding from 10 sports toward a global, 50+ sport footprint Top 3 Takeaways Acting and entrepreneurship share the same core skill: moving from “no” to “no” without losing enthusiasm, while treating every experience as training for the next opportunity. Athletes are brands, and most are dramatically under‑leveraged off the field; centralized, accurate data and contact info unlocks deals for the other 99%, not just superstars. Long‑term success often comes from repurposing skills and networks—Ryan used his IMDb experience, sports relationships, and business training to spot an obvious gap and fill it with AthleteAgent.com. Notable Quotes "As an actor, you are your own business—rejection is daily, and your job is to keep showing up until the right role hits." "IMDb changed my acting career because people could actually find my reps; I realized nothing like that existed for athletes." "We didn't build AthleteAgent for the top 1%—we built it so the other 99% can finally be found, booked, and paid." October 20th 1967 is a day burned in to most lovers of Bigfoot as the day everything changed with 59 seconds of footage of alleged undiscovered hominid striding through Bluff Creek in California. For the two men who caught that footage, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin, life would never be the same again and in his new film, Bigfoot Enterprises: The Trueish Adventures of Patterson and Gimlin, director Eric Fulford and his writers Mark Schwartz and Mark Yellen set their sights of telling the story of the aftermath and the madness this entails. Eric is a lifelong Bigfoot enthusiast and genuinely passionate about doing justice to the legend. He's got great stories from pre-production and what it takes to bring a cryptid to life on screen. Eric has made a career digging into the dusty reels of American storytelling, from the punk-legend skate myth of DAY AT THE POOL to the surreal Hollywood spiral of THE PLATINUM LOOP.
