Lara and Carey are back in the stu: Lara with a new love of London and a renewed faith in the travel gods, and Carey with a new earring. They discuss a Heathrow horror story, and the gay splendor of “Heated Rivalry” on HBO Max. Then, Larz and Carz gird their loins and return to the SURce for the brand new season of “Vanderpump Rules.” With a new cast, the jury was out, but the solidly unhinged premiere promises a potentially stellar season, despite all odds. We meet Natalie, the bartender with a penchant for chaos, middle-aged beaus, and texting heel photos to your boyfriend. Server Marcus with sad sea foam eyes and his Katie Maloneyesque girlfriend/coworker Kim, Jason and Chris, the cousins/OnlyFans duo from South Jersey, and recent SUR hires; Demy the eternal SUR employee; Audrey the roller girl hostess; Shayne the golden retriever mactor; and finally, Venus Le Fleurs, the Capri-smoking diva with luscious locks and wisdom beyond his years. Nana Vanderpump laments the pandemic-hit nightlife scene in LA, as Natalie tucks her tail between her legs from a fight with her 54-year-old ex-boyfriend at SUR, of course. Kim angsts over Marcus and Natalie's too-close-for-comfort friendship; Marcus lands in hot water over sneaking drinks with newbie Jason. Jason and Chris surf and plan their LA takeover; Shayne shows off his hot bubble joie de vivre and ‘hole is a hole' mentality. It all converges at an all-hands staff meeting, with Lisa flexing her HBIC bicep, veneer lisp, and all. It's all happening. We are so back. Together, they've led to nearly 40 graphic novels, two Hollywood movies and a TV series. Dav sits down with Tom Power to talk about being misunderstood as a kid with ADHD and dyslexia, how drawing gave him confidence, and why he thinks graphic novels are a great way to introduce kids to reading.

Most entrepreneurs think storytelling is about simply entertaining. But the stories that move markets, build movements, and create generational brands all follow a deeper pattern that is wired into every human across every culture in history.  In this episode of The Russell Brunson Show we talk about the Hero's Journey! I open up Joseph Campbell's The Hero With a Thousand Faces and show you why this framework has shaped your favorite movies, your personal development, your beliefs, and even the way ClickFunnels grew to a billion dollars in sales. If you want your message to resonate at a primal level and persuade people without feeling pushy, this is the story structure your business has been missing. Key Highlights: ◼️How Joseph Campbell discovered that every enduring story across time and culture follows the same pattern. ◼️Why George Lucas built the first Star Wars movie using this exact framework and how thousands of Hollywood films now follow it. ◼️The core steps of the Hero's Journey and why audiences subconsciously connect to it in movies, books, and real life. ◼️How applying this structure transformed my webinars, funnels, events, and ultimately the growth of the ClickFunnels movement. ◼️The three versions of the Hero's Journey you can study and use: Campbell's original, Christopher Vogler's Hollywood version, and my Expert Secrets version. The Hero's Journey isn't just some ‘fun' thing to talk about... It is the blueprint behind every story that has ever moved a crowd, converted an audience, or transformed a customer. Once you understand it, you start seeing it everywhere and you will know exactly how to weave it into your own marketing, sales presentations, and content. If you want my notes with all three frameworks side by side, you can find them here: ◼️https://russellbrunson.com/notes ◼️If you've got a product, offer, service… or idea… I'll show you how to sell it (the RIGHT way) Register for my next event → https://sellingonline.com/podcast ◼️Still don't have a funnel? The Worst Mass Shooting in U.S. History: A Retired Las Vegas Police Officer Shares His Story. On October 1, 2017, the world witnessed the deadliest mass shooting by a lone gunman in American history. More than 22,000 people were gathered for the Route 91 Harvest music festival on the Las Vegas Strip when gunfire erupted from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel. In just ten minutes, a 64-year-old attacker fired over 1,000 rounds into the crowd, killing 60 people and wounding hundreds more. The total number of injured would eventually rise to approximately 867 as panic swept through the venue. The powerful episode is streaming for free on the Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast website, on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, YouTube, and most every major Podcast platform. For many, the details of that night came through breaking news on Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms. But for the officers responding to the scene, including Retired Las Vegas Metro Police Captain Josh Bitsko, the horror unfolded in real time inside the hotel. Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast social media like their Facebook , Instagram , LinkedIn , Medium and other social media platforms. A Night That Changed Las Vegas Forever The shooter had meticulously prepared his vantage point: two adjoining suites, 24 firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, and high-capacity magazines. Fourteen of the rifles were .223-caliber semi-automatic weapons; others included .308-caliber rifles and a revolver. Investigators would later confirm that the gunman fired 1,058 rounds, 1,049 of them aimed toward the festival grounds from nearly 500 yards away. Look for supporting articles about this and much more from Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast in platforms like Medium , Blogspot and Linkedin . Shortly before the attack began at 10:05 p.m., a Mandalay Bay security guard discovered a barricaded door on the 32nd floor. Moments later, he was struck by gunfire through the shooter's door and was able to radio the hotel for help even while wounded. A maintenance worker also encountered the danger and helped relay the message: this was no routine call, someone was firing rapidly and indiscriminately. Meanwhile, concertgoers below initially mistook the gunfire for fireworks. But as bursts of 80 to 100 rounds echoed across the Las Vegas Village fairgrounds, panic set in. The crowd struggled to escape the fenced-in venue as bullets rained from above. Available for free on their website and streaming on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Youtube and other podcast platforms. The shooter paused only briefly during reloads and while confronting the security guard. By 10:15 p.m., the gunfire had stopped. The suspect then turned his revolver on himself. Inside the 32nd Floor: Captain Josh Bitsko's Experience Amidst early confusion, reports of shots from multiple hotels, uncertainty about the shooter's position, police officers made their way to the Mandalay Bay. At 10:17 p.m., officers reached the 32nd floor. Guided by the wounded security guard, they began clearing rooms one by one while evacuating terrified guests. The Worst Mass Shooting in U.S. History: A Retired Las Vegas Police Officer Shares His Story. Retired Captain Josh Bitsko, then a sergeant, was one of the officers who ultimately breached the shooter's room. Between 10:26 and 10:30 p.m. Using explosives, Bitsko and his team entered Room 32–135, where they found the shooter deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot. The Law Enforcement Talk Radio Show and Podcast episode is available for free on their website , Apple Podcasts , Spotify and most major podcast platforms. Bitsko would later supervise another officer-involved shooting just weeks afterward, a separate critical incident involving a double-homicide suspect. Both events left lasting emotional impacts and deepened his understanding of trauma within law enforcement. Steve Palmer and law student Troy Henricksen talk about a timely and thought-provoking topic—the delicate balance between following military orders and questioning their legality and morality. With recent political debates swirling around Congress members urging military personnel not to obey unlawful executive orders, the conversation delves into both personal experience and historical context.Drawing from Troy Henricksen's background in the military, the discussion explores how soldiers are trained to respond to commands, when it's acceptable to challenge orders, and the tricky ethical territory that comes with it. Together, Steve Palmer and Troy Henricksen look at famous examples from history and pop culture—from the Nuremberg trials to Hollywood films like “Crimson Tide”—to illuminate the very real dilemmas facing those in uniform today.Whether you're interested in the intersection of law, politics, or ethics, this episode promises a nuanced look at what really happens when the chain of command is put to the test. Key Points:Soldiers Are Taught to Follow Orders—With Limits. Troy Henricksen shares firsthand insight: soldiers must obey commands, but there are clear exceptions for unlawful or unethical orders. The “Nuremberg defense” (“just following orders”) is not absolute.Human Discretion Is Baked Into U.S. Military Law. Unlike some historical regimes, the American system expects soldiers to use judgment about the morality and legality of orders—balancing strict discipline with individual responsibility. The Political Debate Is Complicated and Ongoing. You're listening to American Ground Radio with Louis R. Avallone and Stephen Parr. This is the full show for December 2, 2025. 0:30 President Trump has just pulled off what may be the boldest constitutional power play in modern history—nullifying every executive order, proclamation, and pardon stamped with Joe Biden’s auto-pen. With one move, Trump flips the script and forces Democrats into a corner: if they want those Biden-era actions back—like Fauci’s pardon—they’ll have to sue him and testify under oath about Biden’s actual mental capacity. It’s shrewd. It’s historic. And it puts the whole auto-pen scandal center stage. 9:30 Plus, we cover the Top 3 Things You Need to Know. The Trump Administration fired 8 immigration judges in New York City this week. Costco has filed a lawsuit seeking to be reimbursed for tariffs. One third of the commercial Drivers licenses issued by the state of Minnesota to foreign citizens was illegal and violated federal law. 12:30 Get Prodovite Plus from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. We break down how the Left sells “social justice” and “social programs” with feel-good language, while real human connection gets replaced with government control. And why, in the end, the most “social” system might actually be capitalism. 16:00 We got a question in for our American Mamas, Teri Netterville and Kimberly Burleson. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones are furious with CNN after their son, Dylan, went on air and got absolutely schooled by Scott Jennings. Now the Hollywood power couple is blaming the network. We ask the American Mamas if they have a right to be upset with CNN for “setting him up to fail.” The Mamas ask a simple question: He’s 25… so who really set him up? We get into NEPO babies, media bubbles, and what happens when activism meets actual debate. Tune in—this conversation gets real. 23:00 Today we’re getting into mindsets—prosperity versus poverty—and why President Trump’s new “Trump accounts” are lighting a fire under the private sector. Michael and Susan Dell just dropped a staggering $6 billion to seed investment accounts for millions of American kids, and it’s sparking a bigger conversation: What happens when real innovators—not Washington—decide to bet on the next generation? We break down the difference between handouts and true investment, the power of compound growth, and why this is prosperity thinking in action. 26:00 We break down the left’s latest outrage—accusing Secretary of War Pete Hegseth of war crimes after the U.S. Navy took out a cartel-run drug boat in the Caribbean. The media is pushing a narrative that doesn’t even match its own reporting, and we’re unpacking every contradiction. We dig into President Trump’s Day One executive order labeling violent drug cartels as foreign terrorist organizations, the legal authority behind military action on the high seas, and why the AUMF from 2001 still matters today. Plus, we look at the staggering reality: drug cartels are killing the equivalent of 30 9/11s every year through narcotics flowing into America—yet some politicians are more upset about taking out cartel operatives than stopping the carnage. 32:00 Get Performlyte from Victory Nutrition International for 20% off. Yep. Front-page analysis on your cat’s emotional frustration while the country faces real crises. 35:30 We dive into a major move from Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins, who’s announcing a full review of USDA programs to ensure benefits go only to U.S. citizens. Some call it common sense. Others call it controversial. We break down the clash: taxpayer dollars, strained safety nets, and the growing fight between states and the federal government over who gets what—and who pays for it. We're cutting through the noise, pushing past the political spin to get to the heart of the issue: limited resources, runaway costs, and a national conversation that’s quickly shifting from compassion to crisis. 39:30 A new poll shows Americans are turning on the idea of a four-year degree—only 33% now say college is worth the price tag. What happened? Higher education is losing its shine, from sky-high tuition fueled by government subsidies to campuses that feel more political than practical. Millie B.B.B. changed her name #yas (and so did Ashley Tisdale), 2 iconically big Hollywood penises, UTA signed a big wheel of cheese, Masika Kalysha mourned, uh, iconically, the girls did Le Bal, Porsha's jorts came out of the drawer, Chase and Kelsea broke up again (lol) and Rita turned 35. Happy birthday, girl! To learn more about listener data and our privacy practices visit: https://www.audacyinc.com/privacy-policy Learn more about your ad choices. In the sixth and final episode of our series Broken: The Black Dahlia Murder, we explore the enduring cultural legacy of one of America's most haunting unsolved crimes. For nearly eight decades, Elizabeth Short's name, and the moniker “The Black Dahlia”. Has inspired countless books, films, television shows, and theories. But in the process, the real woman behind the legend has often been overshadowed by sensationalism, myths, and misinformation. In this episode, we revisit the most persistent theories surrounding her murder, including the widely publicized, but deeply controversial claims of the so-called “Black Dahlia Avenger” and retired LAPD detective Steve Hodel's accusations against his father, Dr. George Hodel. We also introduce listeners to the thoughtful, evidence-based perspective offered by author William J. Mann in his forthcoming book, Black Dahlia: Murder, Monsters, and Madness in Midcentury Hollywood (releasing January 26, 2026). Mann's work offers a grounded theory that avoids conspiracies and centers on the real circumstances of Elizabeth Short's life. Then, we turn inward to consider what the evidence and Beth's own history suggest about the most likely scenarios behind her tragic death. This episode aims to give her her story back.About This SeriesBROKEN: The Black Dahlia Murder is a six-part Once Upon a Crime original series. Through extensive research, historical records, and firsthand accounts, Esther Ludlow uncovers the truth behind America's most infamous unsolved murder, separating fact from fiction to rediscover the real woman behind the myth.Featured Guest: William J. The filmmaker Noah Baumbach can recall when he may have fallen out of love with his craft. He was shooting “White Noise,” based on Don DeLillo's novel, “on a deserted highway in Ohio at 4 A.M. with a rain machine.”  “Oh, God, I don't know that I like doing this,” he recalls thinking. “Am I doing this”—making movies—“only because I do it?” He channelled that angst into his new film “Jay Kelly,” a Hollywood comedy of manners starring George Clooney as a very famous movie star who suddenly wonders whether it was all worth it, and why people keep offering him cheesecake. In October, Baumbach spoke with The New Yorker's articles editor, Susan Morrison, at The New Yorker Festival about working with his wife, Greta Gerwig, on “Barbie,” and why the first lines of his movies can tell you everything.  New episodes of The New Yorker Radio Hour drop every Tuesday and Friday. Join host David Remnick as he discusses the latest in politics, news, and current events in conversation with political leaders, newsmakers, innovators, New Yorker staff writers, authors, actors, and musicians.
