Heidi & Charles chat with Olya, the owner of the Athleticus Personal Training Studio in Gulfport, FL! Her head trainer Alvaro, also joins in on the discussion where we dive into their fitness backgrounds, opening a specialized studio, and how to find a good personal trainer. We also talk a little on what differentiates them and other studios versus the big box gyms we are all accustomed to.
When Jeff Schumacher, a former professional athlete, opens his first training studio in Malvern, he quickly discovers that providing tailored personal training in a group setting and creating meaningful relationships with members is key to its success, creating an ironic balance between business and culture. Jeff Schumacher is the General Manager of Gage Strength and Conditioning in Westchester and a partner in Engage personal training studio. He has been working in the Philadelphia fitness community since his undergrad days and has now created a unique niche in the Chester County community. Jeff Schumacher's journey into the world of small group personal training began as an athlete whose injuries led him to the training room. After college, he started working at Gage Strength and Conditioning and he quickly realized that he wanted to introduce people to a style of training that was tailored to their individual needs and not just a hit class or boot camp. After nine years of growing the business and refining their target market, Jeff and his team created their core values which revolve around the community and making an impact on their members. They also focus on the small things, such as saying hi and goodbye, and making sure the members are getting what they need out of the session. Jeff and his team are dedicated to providing the best for their members and the community. In this episode, you will learn the following: 1. How Gauge Strength Training is Offering Small Group Personal Training and Creating a Unique Training Environment. 2. The Story of How Jeff Schumacher's Career in Strength and Conditioning Coaching Evolved. 3. The Core Values and Practices at Gauge Strength Training That Enhance Member Relationships and Foster Community.

“If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. If you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime.” Every day I talk to women who've lost weight from a meal delivery service or a shot or a surgery or a high intensity/ high cardio type workout plan… it wasn't sustainable! They never learned to fish for themselves, so they don't know how to maintain their results for years to come. Any questions? Send us an email at info@rodsquad.com or reach us on Instagram.Rodsquad is Florida's #1 Personal Training Studio for Women.
What's the secret to success? Kate says: Showing up even when you don't feel like it! Rod says: Staying on track! Moving toward your goal continuously.Enjoy the journey, because the end goal will keep moving! Tip #1: Remove yourself from negotiations. Create a new identity around your new habit.Tip #2: Seek and ye shall find. Look for evidence that your goal is possible every day.Do what's uncomfortable until the opposite becomes uncomfortable. For example, maybe working out is uncomfortable until you do it so much that now NOT working out is uncomfortable. The same applies for working hard vs relaxing and eating healthy vs eating junk.Here's the simple 5 step formula to accomplish anything, including weight loss. Be extremely specific about your goal. Write down WHY you want to accomplish this. Has this ever been done before? Look for evidence that it's possible.Write down the small daily steps and actions you'll take to move you closer to your goal. Write down "I will" and "I am" statements that align with your new identity. Take the required action every day and week until you reach the finish line. In some cases, don't tell family/ friends about your goal.Any questions? Send us an email at info@rodsquad.com or reach us on Instagram.Rodsquad is Florida's #1 Personal Training Studio for Women.
Kate and Rod answer your biggest questions related to abs! Are abs really made in the kitchen? What about genetics? What's your trouble area? That's where you'll gain and lose weight first. How can you lose weight in a way that's sustainable for life?Can you spot burn fat?Whatever you do to reach your ideal weight quickly might be the same thing that keeps you from maintaining that weight! That's why it's critical to educate yourself and lose weight in a way that's sustainable. This is the same reason why people who win the lottery end up broke again shortly after. They didn't earn the skills to manage money. If you want to maintain a healthy body weight, you must learn the skills to attain and maintain your healthy physique. If you take a shortcut (a pill, surgery, deprivation, food delivery service), you won't be setup for long term success.Rapid weight loss damages your metabolism and leaves you worse than you were before. In the same way, winning the lottery teaches you that money will come to you easily and doesn't need to be earned or managed well, so many lottery winners end up broke and in massive debt, worse off than they were before! Body fat is gained or lost systemically. Step 1 to building 6 pack abs is to lose body fat all over! The Rock worked his butt off, had the best chefs and nutritionists, took performance enhancing drugs and still couldn't develop abs due to genetics! An hourglass shape has been attractive for centuries. That's why physique competitors don't work abs. They don't want to add bulk in an area we want to shrink. Only 3% of women can actually blame hormones for their inability to lose weight. Be careful about using this excuse.Click here to follow us or send us a message on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/rodsquad_boca/Send us an email at info@rodsquad.com.Rodsquad is Florida's #1 Personal Training Studio for Women!

Lockdown kommt? Sei vorbereitet! Sei wachsam. Sei aufmerksam.
I looked what he was buying [I get this every day too] We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk The other week my youngest son and I fetched a second hand Springfree Trampoline from Northwich. I stopped at the garage by Monk's Cross to get fuel, a Costa for me and a juice for Charlie. While I was queuing I noticed the word ‘Trainer' on the back of the guy in front of me. It was one of the PTs from the high end Personal Training Studio round the corner. Top setup and phenomenal results. At a very top level price. He was getting his lunch. I was interested to see what he was eating. So had a little peek. Until I remembered that's what I get every time I go to Tesco (not so often in the last year thanks to Click N Collect). I bump into someone I know……… And they take a sly glance in my trolley. Which is fine. I get it. Sometimes I get a “Caught you”. Because there's something in there that they consider “naughty”. Bread, cake, biscuits, alcohol, etc. I've had people message me a picture of me in my car at the McDonald's drive through from the few places behind that they're sat on more than one occasion. And lots of other similar messages when I'm seen at certain places or eating or drinking certain things. And, again, I get it. It's partly a joke. But it's a joke usually underpinned by a mindset that's holding that person back. They think that you “can't have” those foods and lose weight, get fit, etc. And when they feel they can't “not have” them………. They feel they've failed. That they should “write off” the rest of that day / weekend / week / month. That this is something they “can't do”. That they're not “that kind of person”. “This isn't for me”. I usually reply to the “Caught you” with a “Have you ever actually read any of my blogs?

She took an unexpected break from Triathlons in November 2017 after she had to have a total hip replacement of her left hip. 8 months later she was back at it competing in her first Triathlon finishing 7th in her age group and hiking the Grand Canyon. She returned a year later to do 2 more Sprint distance races winning 2nd place in her age group and qualifying once again for the Nationals in her age group during the second race. Mark Ottobre is the owner and founder of Enterprise Fitness in Melbourne, Victoria.He's a trainer of champions and the reason I love superheroes. Creator of Wolfpack which I can proudly say I was the first coach he called to be a part of back in 2016. His mission is to raise the standards of trainers in the health and fitness industry and is certainly leading the way. He's the reason I reconnected to using “Personal Trainer” with pride.He was a big influence on me in my early days as a coach. I had all the passion, but lacked the business and structure to be successful at what I do. All heart, but no hope, until I got the call from Mark to take part in his Wolfpack Mentorship Program. Mark has been very open in sharing that he was once upon a time the fat kid in school until he found a love for weight training in high school that transformed his life and it's safe to say he hasn't looked back. Now he's leading the way and is a massive influence on the next generation of health and fitness leaders. He has raised the stakes and expectations of what and how a trainer can change your life. And in this episode we talk about superheroes, plus what he does to collect his thoughts and how he's managed to summon his superhuman strength in times when he needed it. Enjoy! And share the love and comments below. If you'd like to connect with Mark, you can easily find him on FB, IG, YouTube and he has his own podcast “The Wolf's Den” where you can tune in to his great work. 045: Marius Nydegger zählt zu den bekanntesten und erfolgreichsten Personal Trainern in der Schweiz. Er hat sich ein beeindruckendes Personal Training Unternehmen aufgebaut und betreibt mit seinen Angestellten ein Personal Training Studio in Solothurn/Schweiz (https://continuum-strength.ch/trainingsstudio). Nach seinem klassischen Start in den Beruf des Personal Trainers merkte er schnell, dass der Erfolg nicht im "Abarbeiten" von 30, 40 oder gar 50 Trainingsterminen pro Woche liegt. Er begann sein Personal Training Business zu diversifizieren. Gemeint ist damit, ein Unternehmen auf neue Produktbereiche bzw. Dienstleistungen umstellen. Dieser Ansatz ist wesentlicher Grundstein seines Erfolges. In meinem Podcast habe ich mit ihm über seine Erfolgsprinzipien im Personal Training gesprochen. Welche Lehren hat er aus seiner Vergangenheit gezogen und wie hat er es geschafft, neben seinem Personal Training sich als einer der Top-Experten im Trainingsbereich zu positionieren. Außerdem ist er Betreiber eines sehr erfolgreichen Online-Shops und kombiniert all seine Themenfelder auf beeindruckende Art und Weise. Ich habe selten einen so unternehmerisch denkenden Personal Trainer kennengelernt. Ein Vorbild für die Branche. Danke Marius, dass Du Deine Erfahrung mit uns teilst. Willst Du mehr über Marius erfahren, dann klicke hier: www.continuum-strength.ch Ich wünsche Dir viel Spaß beim Hören und vor allem wichtige Anregung für Deine erfolgreiche Zukunft als Personal Trainer/in. There is so much GOLD in this episode. Darren was in the military as a PTI then when he left he opened up his own Personal Training Studio. He did a lot of things right... and a lot of things wrong. He's here today to share with you some of the biggest things that he would do differently if he were to start all over again with opening a gym. so you don't fall for the same mistakes he did. Some crazy insights. Here are a few quotes from the episode to get you excited "Most people are children in adult bodies" "Trust is easiest when it's fun" "Connection breeds excellence" - If you want more leads, clients and grow your gym’s brand at the same time, and you want someone to take that stress off your hands, head on over to;
In this Season 2 episode of the Jennifer Zee Plant-based & Happy Podcast, I had the amazing opportunity to chat with Jenny Kong, my very own Muscle Activation Specialist! If you haven’t heard of MAT yet, you could be missing out on the key element needed to rebalance your body, increase muscle function and range of motion, experience faster recovery time, better workouts and finally, to achieve your highest quality of life yet. Jen is the owner of Parallel Fitness Studio, a Personal Training Studio, voted best fitness centre by the community of Richmond Hill. She is a Kinesiologist alumni from University of Toronto and a Personal Trainer and Muscle Activation Techniques Specialist. Jen has worked with people of all ages, from athletes, to clients with MS, Parkinsons disease, lyme disease, stroke, surgery recovery, injury, joint replacement and arthritis among others. She has an exceptional understanding of not just physical activity, but biomechanics and human anatomy and uses all of that to create workouts that build you up instead of break you down. As a twin mom, she understood first hand postpartum how body aches and pain can affect everyday performance and has been since an advocate of a “less is more” philosophy. She focuses on finding weak, underused muscles that aren’t firing optimally and strengthening those to create a more balanced muscular system. Every workout is dictated by the client’s body and structural needs and not based on protocols or the latest trends. She is totally passionate about health and wellness; and has spent over a decade in this industry educating clients about their bodies and how to work smarter, not just harder. Jen’s proudest accomplishments are her twin girls and the time she went back stage and did a MAT treatment session on Phil Collen, Def Leppard’s Lead guitarist and his wife during their concert in Toronto. In this episode Jen and I chat about: ➤ What is Muscle Activation Techniques? ➤ Comparing MAT to other therapies. ➤ Finding the root cause of pain. ➤ Locating weakness in the body. Psst... It’s not always where you think it is. ➤ How the body begins to overcompensate for muscle weakness. ➤ The true purpose of exercise. ➤ How an injury manifests. ➤ Workouts that focus on building you up rather than tearing you down. ➤ Comparing social media ‘mom life’ to the real thing. ➤ Dieting regrets. Erilaisia hyvinvointialan valmennusyrityksiä syntyy kuin sieniä sateella. Buumi on selkeästi havaittavissa mutta samaan aikaan moni astuu erilaisiin karhunrautoihin liiketoiminnan, tulojen ja menojen, asiakashankinnan, tiimijohtamisen, valmentamisen ja päivittäisten prosessien pyörittämisen parissa. Liiketoiminnan teoriat on toki tärkeitä mutta saadaksemme käytännön täsmävinkkejä, soitin studioon vieraaksi todellisen business-arjen työmyyrän, Selkrig Performance Unit -personal training studion perustajan, ystäväni Aaron Selkrigin.
My guests today are the owners of the FIRST Pure Barre in the tristate area. One is a former dancer and the other is an exercise endorphin junkie- both, I’ve been told, love wine so we’re all in good company. Besides making people shake and sweat at the barre, there are other irons in the fire and Fort Wright will soon have two new fitness studios- Club Pilates and The Stretch Lab. These women are clearly out to make Northern Kentucky long, lean, tight core machines- please welcome, Kelly Dicken Newman and Lori Gray! EDITOR'S NOTE: Pure Barre Fort Wright and The Stretch Lab are owned by Kelly Dicken Newman. Club Pilates is owned by Kelly Dicken Newman and Lori Gray. My guest today is serious celebrity status! But beyond her glamour, poise, supermodel hair and cute gym selfies, she’s spreading a message to empower women to redefine societal standards of success, beauty and happiness. She’s keeping it real, she’s serving fierce looks, she’s putting in the work, please welcome Miss Ohio USA, Alice Magoto! EDITOR'S NOTE: Shit happens- we had some technical difficulties with the guest cohost, Nick Melnyk's, mic during Alice's interview. Don't think there's something wrong with your audio. He really starts to chime in about 15 minutes through and will come in loud and clear! (He was probably a little intimidated at the beginning sitting next to a real model ;)) This episode on the podcast is brought to you by The Original Method, Personal Training Studio. Viel Spaß beim Anhören und...HIT it hard!
