It's Friday, August 15th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Muslims in Congo kill three, set cars ablaze, & abduct others There were two separate attacks attributed to the Allied Democratic Forces, a Muslim terrorist group operating in the eastern area of the Democratic Republic of Congo, reports International Christian Concern. The first ambush occurred on the evening of Saturday, August 9 in North Kivu Province.  The Muslims targeted a specific vehicle and abducted its passengers. The second, more deadly attack occurred during the night of Sunday, August 10 in the Ituri Province.  They killed three people, set ablaze several vehicles and houses, and abducted many residents who remain missing. Nearly 10,000 sign petition demanding Toronto mayor end taxpayer funding to homosexual ‘pride' events A petition signed by 10,000 people has been submitted to Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow demanding an end to taxpayer funding of homosexual/ transgender “pride” events, reports LifeSiteNews.com. Earlier this month, Gregory Tomchyshyn, the Canadian campaign director for Citizen Go, dropped off a petition to Mayor Chow calling for her government to end its lavish spending of taxpayer dollars on the promotion of sexual perversion, including the “Toronto Pride” parade. For years now, LifeSiteNews has documented the event's crude floats, public nudity, and public displays of sexual exhibitionism. The petition said, “Mayor Olivia Chow and Toronto City Council just handed $350,000 in taxpayer money to Pride Toronto, despite the event's history of public nudity and indecent displays in full view of families and children.” According to Canadian Broadasting Corporation News, “Pride Toronto” will see its taxpayer funding hiked by 26 percent since fewer corporations want to promote sexual immorality. Toronto Mayor Chow condemned corporations that pulled funding from the group and suggested not shopping at Home Depot because the corporation is no longer funding the sexually perverted “Pride Toronto.” You can write Mayor Chow a polite 2-sentence email of objection: mayor_chow@toronto.ca. Or send a letter to: Mayor Olivia Chow, City Hall, 2nd Floor, 100 Queen St. W., Toronto, ON M5H 2N2 Canada. Previously, Adidas and Nissan Canada were considered “gold-level” sponsors, a designation given for those who donate at least $150,000 in cash or in-kind contributions. Venezuelan Evangelical Christians march for Jesus Thousands of Evangelical Christians mobilized across Venezuela during the March for Jesus, reports The Christian Post.  The event featured preaching, public worship, biblical reflection, and prayers for Venezuela. According to the Latin Evangelical Alliance, this year's theme was: “Jesus, the nations belong to You.” Social media was filled with images of the march, which was held not only in cities but also in rural towns. Pastor José Piñero, executive director of the Evangelical Council of Venezuela, addressed the crowd in Cumaná with a message in Spanish focused on grace.  I'll translate this 9-sentence clip in a moment. (Piñero speaks in Spanish) Pastor  Piñero said, “We are here because this land cries out for hope. And that hope has a name. And His name is Jesus Christ! (cheers) “Today, we march with purpose, with conviction, with firm love.  We don't march for ideologies. We don't march for human agendas. We don't march for political agendas. We don't march for sectarian agendas.  We come with the eternal Word of God, the Bible.” Proverbs 30:5 says, “Every W ord of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.” Seventeen percent of Venezuela's population is comprised of Protestants and 71% is Catholic. Trump-Putin meeting in Anchorage today about ending Russo-Ukrainian War Anchorage, Alaska Mayor Suzanne LaFrance, an Independent, has announced that the city is “prepared and ready” for President Donald Trump's high-stakes meeting today with Russian President Vladimir Putin about ending the Russo-Ukrainian War. The meeting is set to be held at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson. Trump seeks to extend federal D.C. takeover as ‘sanctuary city' policies put on ice In an effort to eradicate violent crime in our nation's capital, President Donald Trump is preparing to ask Congress to extend the 30-day limit on his federal takeover of Washington, D.C. When asked by a reporter Thursday if he intends to seek congressional approval to prolong his federalization of D.C.'s Metropolitan Police Department, the president said this in reply. TRUMP: “Well, if it's a national emergency, we can do it without Congress, but we expect to be before Congress very quickly. We think the Democrats will not do anything to stop crime, but we think the Republicans will do it almost unanimously.” The president began moving federal law enforcement agents into D.C. late last week, following the vicious beating of a Department of Government Efficiency staffer, 19-year-old Edward Cristine, who intervened in a carjacking to protect the female victim. On August 11th, President Trump officially took federal control of the D.C. police department and quickly mobilized the D.C. National Guard. Between August 7 and the morning of August 13, the federal crackdown yielded 103 arrests on charges ranging from suspected homicide and narcotics to firearm offenses and even illegal immigration. Woman sues Marine who allegedly poisoned her drink with 10 abortion pills And finally, Liana Davis, a Texas woman, has become the latest victim of a disturbing case of the abortion kill pill being used against her, and she's taking her pain to court, reports The Washington Stand. Her lawsuit alleges that Christopher Cooprider, a 34-year-old U.S. Marine, impregnated her and repeatedly pressured her to “get rid” of the baby, despite her firm refusals. According to the federal lawsuit, Davis has accused Cooprider of dissolving at least 10 misoprostol pills into her drink, without her knowledge, at her Corpus Christi home while she was eight weeks pregnant with his child. It only took 30 minutes after drinking the spiked beverage for Davis to start “hemorrhaging and cramping.” She asked for his help, but Cooprider fled the scene and was unreachable.  In a text at 12:30a.m., she wrote, “I am gushing blood. Please hurry.” But he never responded.  Tragically, their baby died. The first half of Proverbs 28:13 describes Christopher Cooprider well. “He who covers his sins will not prosper, but whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy.” The wrongful death lawsuit seeks unspecified damages from Cooprider and Aid Access, the company which sold the abortion kill pill to the randy Marine. According to NBC News, “The Corpus Christi Police Department said there are no active investigations involving Cooprider.”  The Marine declined to comment as well. According to a new study from the Journal of the American Medical Association, Aid Access shipped 118,000 chemical abortion pill packs into the U.S. between July 2023 and September 2024. On X, Family Research Council President Tony Perkins wrote, “The Trump administration must take action now. 1 in 10 women suffer severe complications from the abortion pill. Traffickers and others use easy drug access to control women and kill unborn children. State laws are being trampled.” If you or a loved one has ingested the Abortion Kill Pill with regret, the baby can be saved during the first couple of days  through a special progesterone protocol.  Visit AbortionPillReversal.com. It's Thursday, August 14th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Indonesian Christian leaders urge government to protect religious liberty Religious leaders in Indonesia are calling on the government there to protect religious freedom. This comes after a string of attacks on Christian buildings in the Southeast Asian country.  The Conference of Indonesian Catholic Bishops said, “Any act of intimidation, violence, or unilateral restriction of religious activities violates the law and undermines the fundamental values of life together as citizens of the same nation.” Indonesia is not currently on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries to be a Christian. However, it has appeared on that list in previous years. Anglican Church of Nigeria horrified by lesbian bishop in Wales The Anglican Church of Nigeria cut ties with the Anglican Church of Wales over its election of an openly lesbian archbishop named Cherry Vann who is in a sexual relationship with Wendy Diamond. Rev. Henry Ndukuba leads the Anglican Church in Nigeria. He said, “The Church of Nigeria believes that this moment calls for prayer for the Church of Wales, hoping that the Church of England will not follow in her steps. We should hold them in our prayers with a clear message that hope lies only in true repentance and godliness.” To its credit, The Anglican Church of Nigeria previously severed ties with the Episcopal Church in the United States over a similar situation.  2 Timothy 4:3-4 warns, “For the time will come when people will not put up with sound doctrine. Instead, to suit their own desires, they will gather around them a great number of teachers to say what their itching ears want to hear. They will turn their ears away from the truth and turn aside to myths.” British pro-lifer targeted a third time for praying outside abortion mill Police in the United Kingdom are investigating a woman for praying outside an abortion mill. It's the third time police have gone after Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, Director of the March for Life UK, over her silent prayers. West Midlands Police previously arrested her twice. Vaughan-Spruce won a settlement over the wrongful arrests worth about $17,500. However, officials continue to target her. Jeremiah Igunnubole, legal counsel for Alliance Defending Freedom International, said, “We will continue to robustly challenge this unjust censorship, and support Isabel's right to think and believe freely.” Could Supreme Court overturn homosexual marriage ruling? In the United States, Liberty Counsel recently asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case of a Christian county clerk. Kim Davis, the former Rowan County, Kentucky clerk, refused to issue marriage licenses to homosexual couples. She was the first victim to be jailed and sued following the infamous 2015 Obergefell ruling. The Supreme Court ruling legalized faux same-sex marriage nationwide. Liberty Counsel Founder and Chairman Mat Staver said, “Kim Davis' case underscores why the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn the wrongly decided Obergefell v. Hodges opinion because it threatens the religious liberty of Americans who believe that marriage is a sacred union between one man and one woman.” U.S. debt hits $37 trillion The U.S. national debt hit $37 trillion for the first time, according to a Tuesday report from the Treasury Department. The national debt is projected to reach 99% of the U.S. Gross Domestic Product this year which is the measure of the total economic activity within a country. The Peter G. Peterson Foundation noted that the debt amounts to $280,000 per household in America and is growing at over five billion dollars per day. Fewer Americans drink alcohol A survey from Gallup found that the percentage of Americans who use alcoholic beverages fell to a record low of 54 percent. Young adults are even less likely to drink alcohol at 50 percent.  And for the first time, over 50 percent of U.S. adults say drinking one or two alcoholic drinks a day is bad for one's health. That number is up from 28 percent in 2015. Young adults are even more likely to say drinking is bad for their health at 66 percent. Gallup noted, “Declines in alcohol consumption do not appear to be caused by people shifting to other mood-altering substances.” Answers in Genesis announces Truth Traveler attractions in Pigeon Forge & Branson And finally, Answers in Genesis is opening two new Bible attractions, one in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and the other in Branson, Missouri.  The Truth Traveler attractions feature a 5D experience that blends cutting-edge virtual reality, motion seating, and sensory effects to transport you through pivotal moments in Biblical history. The website says, “Feel the ground shake as the floodwaters rise, stand in awe at the towering walls of Babel, and witness history unfold in breathtaking detail.” Ken Ham, the CEO of Answers in Genesis, said, “Please pray with us that these attractions will reach thousands of families with the message of the truth of God's Word and the Gospel.” Psalm 111:2, 4 says, “Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. … He has caused His wondrous works to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and merciful.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, August 14th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus (Adam@TheWorldview.com). (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Indian jailor and guards beats five pastors Five pastors in central India were assaulted in custody last month.  It all began when a Hindu mob disrupted a church service. Authorities responded by arresting the pastors and slapping them with false charges of forced conversions! Then, the jailor and guards beat the ministers.  One pastor told Morning Star News, “They grabbed the opportunity, and without any trial or evidence beat us mercilessly, simply because we are Christians. … Here in Chhattisgarh [State], they are targeting all the smaller churches. … Hindu extremists target every private celebration taking place in Christian homes.” Please pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ in India. The country is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult countries worldwide to be a Christian.  Proverbs 17:15 says, “He who justifies the wicked, and he who condemns the just, both of them alike are an abomination to the LORD.” Armenia and Azerbaijan sign historic peace deal at White House The leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan signed a joint declaration for peace at the White House last Friday.  U.S. President Donald Trump called the agreement “historic” as it aims to end decades of conflict between the two southwestern Asian countries.  Armenia and Azerbaijan also signed economic agreements with the U.S., opening the region to American businesses.  Listen to comments from President Trump. TRUMP: “For more than 35 years, Armenia and Azerbaijan have fought a bitter conflict that resulted in tremendous suffering for both nations. They suffered gravely for so many years. Many tried to find a resolution. … They were unsuccessful. But with this accord, we've finally succeeded in making peace.” Trump cracks down on D.C. crime President Trump announced plans on Monday to crack down on crime in Washington, D.C. National Guard members arrived at the nation's capital yesterday. Trump also put the Metropolitan Police Department of the District of Columbia under federal control.  President Trump said, “This is Liberation Day in D.C. and we're going to take our capital back.” The White House noted, “If Washington, D.C. was a state, it would have the highest homicide rate of any state in the nation.” 415 hostile incidents against U.S. churches in 2024 The Family Research Council released their latest report on hostility against churches in the United States. Last year, American churches faced 415 hostile incidents. That's down from 485 incidents in 2023 but up from 50 incidents in 2018. Incidents included vandalism, arson, gun-related incidents, and bomb threats. Tony Perkins, the president of Family Research Council, remarked, “The American woke Left has been intentional in spreading its hostility toward the Christian faith throughout every corner of America. … Christians must … demand more from their government leaders when it comes to … preventing criminal acts targeting religious freedom.” 77th city becomes sanctuary for the unborn Life News reports that Douglassville, Texas became the 77th city in the U.S. to ban abortion last Tuesday.  The city council of Douglassville unanimously passed an ordinance to become a Sanctuary City for the Unborn. (You can send a quick one-sentence email of thanks to the City Council members through a special link in our transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com) The ordinance prohibits elective abortions in the city limits. It also bans abortions on Douglassville residents, regardless of where the abortion takes place.  Pastor Heston McLaurin of Douglassville Fellowship Church said, “I thank the Lord for every step forward in defending the lives of unborn children. Proverbs 6:17 says that God hates ‘hands that shed innocent blood' and He is the defender of the helpless.” Americans get majority of calories from ultra-processed foods New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found that Americans get most of their calories from ultra-processed foods. Such foods include sandwiches and burgers, sweet bakery products, savory snacks, pizza, and sweetened beverages. Americans get 55 percent of their calories from these ultra-processed foods. That number rose to nearly 62 percent for kids through age 18. 438th baptism anniversary of Indian named Manteo And finally, today marks the 438th anniversary of the baptism of a notable Native American.  Manteo received baptism on August 13, 1587, into the Church of England on Roanoke Island. It was considered the first baptism in the new world and the first baptism of an Indian into the Church of England. The Algonquian Indian helped English settlers at Roanoke make it through a harsh winter in 1585. Manteo also became one of the first Indians to ever visit England. He is remembered as a stalwart friend of the English in the new world. It's Tuesday, August 12th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson 4 of 5 most populated countries hostile to Christianity International Christian Concern reports that now “four of the five most populous countries in the world share a disturbing reality: Christians are systematically and harshly persecuted within their borders.” And we would add that these four nations have stepped up persecution against Christians over the last ten years. The four countries are China with a population of 1.41 billion people, India with a population of 1.46 billion people, Indonesia with a population of 285 million people, and Pakistan with a population of 255 million people. By contrast, the United States, with a population of 347 million people, is the other top 5 most populated country which actually allows for religious freedoms. Russia won't comply with 1987 moratorium on nuclear missiles Last week, Russia announced it will no longer comply with the 1987 moratorium on deployment of nuclear-capable intermediate range missiles. These missiles are designed to bring total annihilation to European cities. This opens the way for nuclear-capable launch vehicles to be deployed proximate to theaters of military operation. China doubled nuclear warheads China began its nuclear buildup in 2018—increasing its nuclear firepower from 280 to 600 warheads, and adding 350 new Intercontinental ballistic missile silos this year. This buildup took place at the same time France and the United Kingdom reduced their nuclear arsenals. 80th anniversary since U.S. dropped atomic bombs in Japan This month marks the 80th anniversary since the US dropped atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki, Japan. The city of Hiroshima marked the anniversary with a memorial event. The city's mayor, Shiro Suzuki, addressed the gathering, as one whose parents survived the 1945 attack. Suzuki said, ”Conflicts around the world are intensifying in a vicious cycle of confrontation and fragmentation . . . and if we continue on this trajectory, we will end up thrusting ourselves into a nuclear war. This existential crisis of humanity has become imminent to each and every one of us living on Earth." Youth unemployment up worldwide The BBC reports some Chinese college graduates are actually paying for a pretend job. The outlet mentions a business called “Pretend to Work Company."   With real jobs increasingly hard to come by, some young adults would rather pay to go into an office rather than to be stuck at home. This year, China's youth unemployment rate has scraped 17 percent. Canada has seen a sharp increase of youth unemployment—now at 14.2 percent. Italy's rate is upwards of 22 percent, and the United Kingdom has seen more increases of youth unemployment what they call “youth economic inactivity” in recent years—now at 13.4 percent. But youth unemployment in South Africa is the highest at 61 percent. The Apostle Paul exhorts the youth and all of us that "If anyone will not work, neither shall he eat. For we hear that there are some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, not working at all, but are busybodies. Now those who are such we command and exhort through our Lord Jesus Christ that they work in quietness and eat their own bread." (2 Thessalonians 3:10-12) World Vision justified in denying employment to a lesbian The 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled  that the Christian ministry, World Vision, was well within the law when they denied employment to a lesbian named Aubry McMahon who was in a sinful relationship with a woman she called her “wife.” The court held that the ministry had not violated federal or Washington state non-discrimination laws because it was covered under the “ministerial exception.”  Abortion Kill Pill has enabled abortion rate to increase despite Dobbs Americans are killing significantly more babies following the U.S. Supreme Court reversal of Roe v. Wade through the Dobbs decision on June 24, 2022. Official records put the annual number at 1.1 million, up from 880,000 in 2020. That's a 25 percent increase. The difference appears to be made up by the abortion kill pill by mail program. About 63 percent of the murder of babies is executed by the abortion pill now, and 25 percent of all abortions come by “Telehealth” or by mail. Twenty-two leading Southern Baptist pastors have issued a letter to President Donald Trump, requesting that the administration “stop the mail-order distribution of the abortion drug mifepristone.” To this point, the Trump administration has been reticent to limit access to the abortion kill pill. In May, the U.S. Justice Department recommended tossing out a lawsuit that would have restricted a reduction of access to Telehealth abortions. In an interview with interview with Time Magazine in December, the president reiterated five times, that it was "highly unlikely” the Food and Drug Administration would do anything to restrict access to the Abortion Kill Pill.  However, God is in control. Jeremiah 51:19, 20, and 24 reminds us "He is the Maker of all things;  and Israel is the tribe of His inheritance. The Lord of hosts is His name. You are My battle-ax and weapons of war: For with you, I will break the nation in pieces, says the Lord." California fire has burned 120,000 acres The State of California is dealing with more out-of-control fires. The Gifford Fire started up last Wednesday, and has already consumed some 120,000 acres. It's now threatening the towns of Arroyo Grande and Santa Maria. Sadly, it's only 30 percent contained.  Grand Canyon fire has burned 144,000 acres The Dragon Bravo fire in Arizona has shut down the Grand Canyon North Rim for the season.   This fire has burned up 144,000 acres. In God's all powerful workings, this fire began by lightning strike on Independence Day, July 4th. Despite tariff revenues, 2025 U.S. deficit is $109 million higher than 2024 And finally, despite the Department of Government Efficiency, the tariff hullabaloo, and the influx of import taxes to the federal government coffers, this year's deficit, through July, is a whopping $109 billion more than it was last year. The deficit totaled $1.6 trillion over the first 10 months of fiscal year 2025—heading towards a $1.9 trillion deficit for the year. That's about eight times the average deficit incurred under the George W. Bush administration. CA pastor issues dire warning on anti-parent bill, Man avoids prison after attacking pro-lifers, Trump to meet with Putin in Alaska

It's Monday, August 11th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus CA pastor warns if anti-parent bill passes they need to leave state Pastor Jack Hibbs, Founder of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, sounded the alarm last week about a dangerous anti-parent bill in California. HIBBS: “[Democratic California Governor] Gavin Newsom and his buddies up there have crafted Assembly Bill 495. This bill 100% strips parents of their parental rights. It allows an individual to obtain this new form that comes with the bill. They can download it. They can get it mailed to them. They can go pick it up. They fill it out. “They can name a child, let's say Suzie Q. So, John goes to a school in California and says, ‘I have this form, and I am asking for Suzie Q to be put into my custody. I want to take her out of school.' “The bill does not require a background check for this man. Requires no identification, no driver's license, no nothing. There's no requirement in the bill for the school to call you to ask you if it's okay if John takes your daughter out of school. “It is literally being called by opponents of it --  I'm one of them -- the California Legislature Trafficking Bill. It is unbelievable. Go to realimpact.us. Read about it. “Four or five reprobates have written it. We're going to let you know who they are, and we're going to campaign against them.” Supporters of the controversial bill see it as a necessary response to President Donald Trump's crackdown on illegal immigration. In a so-called “fact sheet” about the proposal, Democratic Assemblywoman Celeste Rodriguez argued that the bill enables the kids of illegals to be cared for if their parents are detained or deported. However, conservatives and Christians believe the law could be used in nefarious ways, allowing non-related adults to a child to gain legal authority over the child with a single affidavit that does not require parental consent, reports Faithwire.com. The California Senate is about to vote on it. That's why Pastor Hibbs urged the thousands in his congregation to travel the 400 miles north to California's capitol on Tuesday, August 19th to speak out against it. HIBBS: “I need all of you to take August 19th off. I'm going to ask all of you to drive, bus, fly. I don't care how you get there, but I want you to meet me at the Capitol steps in Sacramento because our elected leaders are right now trying to get a bill passed that's the unthinkable. “We're looking for a minimum of 5,000 people to be there that day. Let your voice be heard. The last time we gathered up there, it was the largest gathering in 27 years in our state capitol.” Gina Gleason, director of the Real Impact ministry at Calvary Chapel Chino Hills, said,  “[Democrats] have a supermajority and Republicans are in the minority. So usually the Democrats get pretty much everything that they want unless we, as the church, as conservatives, stand up and speak up, and that's what we're trying to do with this bill. If we make enough noise, if we get enough attention, they will back off.” Pastor Hibbs said that the problem is too few Christians vote. HIBBS: “This is the California government, ladies and gentlemen, that somebody's voted them in. I think we did, maybe, by not voting. ‘Nah, I just sit that out. I'm going to get involved in that kind of stuff.' And … here we are. “Because whenever there's an evil, evil always fills a void, a vacancy. Jesus said that a man void of the Holy Spirit, the demons go search out and bring seven more demons worse than himself, inhabits the man because there was a vacancy. “Because good people don't vote in California, we've got idiots running this state, perverts.” Pastor Hibbs issued a dramatic warning. HIBBS: “If this bill passes, I'm going to ask you to leave the state of California. You're going to need to pack up, and you're going to have to get out. You got to get out. You got to run with your kids. You got to go. I would not subject my child to one second in this public school system with this new law, AB 495. “Your child's safety is number one in your life. I never thought the day would ever come when I would encourage you to leave. “As you can tell, I'm angry, and I'll die on this hill. This is the end of California. If this bill passes, your children are now subject and vulnerable to state-sanctioned kidnapping or trafficking.” Pray for the demise of AB 495.  If you live in California, tell your legislator you oppose AB 495 and attend the Tuesday, August 19th rally in Sacramento. Proverbs 21:15 says, “When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous, but terror to evildoers.” Trump to meet with Putin in Alaska after issuing ‘very severe' tariff threat President Donald Trump announced that he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on American soil this Friday to discuss an end to the war in Ukraine, reports One America News. On Truth Social, President Trump wrote, “The highly anticipated meeting between myself, as President of the United States of America, and President Vladimir Putin, of Russia, will take place Friday, August 15, 2025, in the Great State of Alaska. Further details to follow.” The upcoming talks between the two world leaders follow after President Trump gave Putin a 10-12 day deadline to secure a ceasefire in Ukraine, or potentially face “very severe tariffs” and sanctions. Man avoids prison after viciously assaulting two elderly pro-lifers in Baltimore And finally, Patrick Brice, who was found guilty earlier this year of savagely beating two elderly pro-life activists in a May 2023 attack outside a Baltimore Planned Parenthood abortion mill, was only sentenced to home detention and probation last Thursday, but notably will not be required to spend a day behind bars, reports LifeSiteNews.com. On August 7, Baltimore City Circuit Judge Yvette Bryant  sentenced Brice to just one year of home detention and three years of probation for brutally attacking pro-life sidewalk counselors Mark Crosby and Dick Schaefer, who were 73 and 80 respectively at the time. Schafer and Crosby were simply praying and offering alternatives to women who were coming to kill their babies, when a Planned Parenthood “deathscort” -- a staff member or volunteer who "escorts" women past pro-lifers -- attacked them. In broad daylight, Brice, who was 28, assaulted Schafer from behind, throwing him into a planter and window. When Crosby ran to his aid, Brice hit him in the face, knocking him to the ground, sending him crashing onto the brick sidewalk, and then Brice kicked him in the head.  Tragically, Crosby suffered a fractured plate bone in his right cheek and had to have his eye orbit replaced with metal. His right eye was blinded, and he suffered a concussion. Video of the attack, which we have linked in our transcript today, released by Baltimore Police clearly shows the extreme violence of Brice's attack on Crosby and Schaefer. In February, a jury convicted Brice on two counts of second-degree assault and reckless endangerment for attacking the pro-life activists, but did not reach a verdict on the more serious charge of first-degree assault. Shockingly, in a June bench trial, Judge Bryant acquitted Brice of the first-degree assault charges on the absurd grounds that Crosby had “provoked” the defendant.  The elderly pro-lifer told Daily Wire, “Baltimore is criminal-friendly. It's not victim-friendly at all, especially if you're a senior. Judges do not like pro-lifers. They don't like us saving babies, I don't know why.” Brice also yanked off Crosby's crucifix and chain which he was wearing around his neck. Crosby said that despite the pain he endured from the attack, “My shedding blood in front of Planned Parenthood for Jesus and the babies” has actually been “a gift to me.” The “millions of babies murdered” at Planned Parenthood over the years “have shed rivers of blood.” Isaiah 59:7 describes the abortionists and the Planned Parenthood “deathscorts,” like Patrick Brice, quite well.  “Their feet rush into sin; they are swift to shed innocent blood. They pursue evil schemes; acts of violence mark their ways.” The prosecution had asked Judge Bryant for a 10-year prison sentence, urging the judge to send a message that attacking two peaceful elderly men in broad daylight for their religious or political views will not be tolerated. But Judge Bryant, who shockingly did not allow Crosby to show his wounded eye to the jury during the trial, opted to give Brice a “slap on the wrist.” Send a polite, 2-3 sentence letter to Judge Yvette Bryant objecting to her decision to acquit Patrick Brice of the first-degree assault charge and her refusal to give him any prison time at all for his violent attack on two peaceful, elderly men.  Address it to:  Judge Yvette Bryant, Cummings Courthouse, Chambers 252, 111 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21202.  I hope you are one of 50 Worldview listeners to send her a letter. In light of her miscarriage of justice, she needs to hear from us. It's Friday, August 8th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus ISIS soldiers behead Christians in Mozambique, burning churches International observers are reporting that ISIS-aligned soldiers are beheading Christians and burning churches and homes in central and southern Africa – with some of the most brutal attacks happening in the nation of Mozambique, reports Fox News. The Middle East Media Research Institute – a counter-terrorism nonprofit based in Washington, D.C. – is sounding the alarm about what it describes as a "silent genocide" taking place by Muslim terrorists against Christians.   Alberto Fernandez, their Vice President, spoke to Fox News. FERNANDEZ: “What we see in Africa today is a kind of silent genocide or silent brutal, savage war that is occurring in the shadows and all too often ignored by the international community. We see rampaging jihadist groups from West Africa and even in the south in Mozambique. “The fact, for example, is that jihadist groups are in a position to take over, not one, not two, but several countries in Africa. It is very dangerous for the national security of the United States, let alone the security of the poor people who are there.” Fernandez spoke bluntly about the goal of these Muslim terrorist groups in Africa. FERNANDEZ: “The goal is eliminating Christian communities completely. These jihadist groups want to eliminate all the Christians in that area, take that area over, and keep pushing.” And he's grateful for President Trump's willingness to become involved. FERNANDEZ:  “The President's initiative in stopping the growing war between Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo, its neighbor, is very significant, because this could have become a terrible war. We know that jihadists like to take advantage of vacuums, security vacuums, ungoverned spaces.” The migration agency said Monday that attacks by Muslim insurgents in Mozambique's northern Cabo Delgado province displaced more than 46,000 people in the span of eight days just last month. Sixty percent of those forced from their homes were children. The Muslim jihadists of Africa would do well to follow the advice of Gamaliel, the Pharisee from the time of Christ. In Acts 5:38-39, he said, “Leave these men alone! Let them go! For if their purpose or activity is of human origin, it will fail. But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.” Amazon Web Services gives the Trump admin $1 billion coupon In the United States, Amazon Web Services is giving the Trump administration a $1 billion coupon to use their services for the federal government's digital transformation and artificial intelligence capacity, reports Politico.com. On Thursday, the General Services Administration announced a sweeping “OneGov” agreement with Amazon Web Services that would yield up to $1 billion in cost savings for federal agencies shifting to cloud services. But the Amazon deal is not exclusive. Similar OneGov agreements are in the works with other major cloud providers, including Microsoft and Google. Oracle also recently signed a deal giving government agencies a 75% discount on Oracle technology. Trump cancels half billion dollars of federal funding for UCLA over anti-Semitism The Trump administration has canceled $584 million in grants for the University of California in Los Angeles, claiming they did not take a strong enough stance against on-campus anti-Semitism, reports One America News. UCLA recently reached a $6 million settlement with three Jewish students and a Jewish professor who sued the school in a civil rights dispute, claiming pro-Palestinian protesters were permitted to block them from accessing certain areas on campus in 2024. President Donald Trump's office announced that the U.S. Department of Justice's Civil Rights Division found UCLA in violation of the Equal Rights Act of 1964 “by acting with deliberate indifference in creating a hostile educational environment for Jewish and Israeli students.” Catholic priest met homosexual prostitute in church parking lot Clemente Guerrero-Olvera, a Catholic parochial vicar at St. Ann Church in Clayton, North Carolina, was arrested and charged with soliciting prostitution with a 20-year-old man he allegedly met on the homosexual app named Grindr in the church's parking lot, reports LifeSiteNews.com. During an unrelated search for a missing person around 1:00 a.m. on August 4th, a police deputy spotted the young man, identified as Ja'Quavis Brinson, inside a vehicle in St. Ann's parking lot and another man, later identified as Guerrero-Olvera, who ran away, according to the Johnston County Report. The 47-year-old Catholic priest was promptly arrested and charged with felony solicitation of prostitution after an investigation revealed that he had arranged to meet the 20-year-old via Grindr, allegedly for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity. Guerrero-Olvera was booked at the Johnston County Detention Center and later released on a $2,500 secured bond. Brinson of Benson, North Carolina was charged with misdemeanor prostitution.  1 Corinthians 6:9-11 says, “Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.” Two weeks after cancellation, Colbert doubles down on liberal jokes And finally, it's been over two weeks since CBS announced on July 17th that it was cancelling The Late Show with Stephen Colbert as of May 2026. In the first show after the cancellation was announced, the leftist comedian addressed the news. COLBERT: “On Friday, Donald Trump posted, ‘I absolutely love that Colbert got fired. His talent was even less than his ratings.” (audience boos) “Over the weekend, it sunk in that they're killing off our show, but they made one mistake. They left me alive!” (audience laughs) However, Colbert has responded by doubling down on the same liberal jokes and liberal guests that made viewers (and advertising dollars) turn away in the first place, reports Newsbusters.org. According to a new Media Research Center study, Colbert's political jokes targeted conservatives and Republicans 95% of the time, and 100% of his political guests, in the two weeks since his cancellation, were liberals. In the eight episodes from July 21 through July 31, Colbert told 129 jokes about right-leaning individuals or groups compared to only seven about left-leaning people or groups. That 95% disparity is considerably higher than his 2023 number of 86% or 2024 number of 82%. The Late Show has been losing a whopping $40-50 million a year because Colbert has used his network platform to belittle half the country, reports the New York Post. COLBERT: “They pulled the plug on our show because of losses pegged between $40 million and $50 million a year. $40 million is a big number. I could see us losing $24 million, but where would Paramount have possibly spent the other 16 million? Oh, yeah.” (audience laughs) That was a dig, referencing the $16 million settlement CBS' parent company reached with President Trump just weeks ago regarding the deceptive editing of a 60 Minutes interview with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris to aid her candidacy. Here's the edited version which aired on 60 Minutes in a segment with CBS reporter Bill Whitaker. WHITAKER: “But it seems that Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu is not listening.” HARRIS: “We are not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” And here is the unedited version, featuring Kamala's signature “word salad” which did not air on 60 Minutes. WHITAKER: “But it seems that Prime Minister Netanyahu is not listening. The Wall Street Journal said that he, that your administration has repeatedly been blindsided by Netanyahu. And in fact, he has rebuffed just about all of your administration's entreaties.” HARRIS: “Well, Bill, [long pause] the work that we have done has resulted in a number of movements in that region by Israel that were very much prompted by, or a result of, many things, including our advocacy for what needs to happen in the region. And we're not going to stop doing that. We're not going to stop pursuing what is necessary for the United States to be clear about where we stand on the need for this war to end.” Exodus 20:16 records the ninth commandment that God gave Moses on Mt. Sinai.  “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, August 8th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. He was sentenced to 10 years in prison, becoming the youngest person convicted of blasphemy against Islam in the country.  Pakistan's Supreme Court granted Masih bail in 2020. However, he had already suffered years of neglect, abuse, and lack of medical care, leading to his recent death. Psalm 116:15 says, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of His saints.” Billy Graham Association helping defend European Christians The Billy Graham Evangelistic Association is extending its legal defense fund to Christians across Europe. Evangelist Franklin Graham started the fund for defending religious freedom in the United Kingdom. This came after he won multiple lawsuits against British venues that cancelled their events. The fund has grown to $1.3 million. Franklin Graham told Fox News Digital, “We took the damages that we won through BGEA's court cases in the U.K., and put those funds into the Billy Graham Defense Fund — a new ‘war chest' to help other Christians in Europe who are threatened or intimidated into silence and not expressing their faith.” Army Sergeant shot 5 co-workers on Georgia Army base Bad news from a U.S. Army base in Georgia. LUBAS: “An active duty soldier assigned to Fort Stewart, Georgia, shot and wounded five of his fellow soldiers here on Fort Stewart. Thankfully, all are in stable condition and all are expected to recover.” That was Brigadier General John Lubas on Wednesday afternoon. The soldier shooter has been identified as Army Sergeant Quornelius Radford, reports The U.S. Sun. Radford, age 28, is in custody after he allegedly opened fire at his workplace at the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team area just before 11:00 am. The base was briefly locked down. Police said they have not learned more about his motive. Here's the good news. LUBAS: “I would also like to thank the brave soldiers who immediately intervened and subdued the shooter. These soldiers, without a doubt, prevented further casualties.” Planned Parenthood closes only two abortion mills in Louisiana Planned Parenthood is closing its only two locations in Louisiana.  The abortion giant operated in the state for 40 years previously.  Ben Clapper, the executive director of Louisiana Right to Life, told LifeNews, “Effective September 30th, Planned Parenthood will close both its New Orleans and Baton Rouge facilities. What a powerful victory for life. … To each of you who have prayed, volunteered, given, and stood with us—thank you!” With the two closures, Planned Parenthood has closed a total of 40 abortion mills this year. U.S. Health Dept cancels $500 million of mRNA vaccine projects The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced Tuesday that it is cancelling $500 million worth of mRNA vaccine development projects. The department said it will focus instead on “platforms with stronger safety records and transparent clinical and manufacturing data practices.” Listen to comments from HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. KENNEDY: “Most of these shots are for flu or COVID, but as the pandemic showed us, mRNA vaccines don't perform well against viruses that infect the upper respiratory tract. … “After reviewing the science and consulting top experts at NIH and FDA, HHS has determined that mRNA technology poses more risk than benefits for these respiratory viruses.” 28% of school boards referenced DEI in second quarter The school tracking website Burbio reports that the prevalence of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion terms in district school board meetings is down. The Trump administration has prohibited federal funding to recipients that engage in unlawful discrimination practices. This includes DEI programs. During the second quarter of this year, only 28% of school boards referenced such DEI terms, down from 38% last year. Gunman opened fire at a Seattle church event And finally, an unidentified gunman opened fire on a church event in Seattle last Thursday, July 31st.  Tragically, he killed 28-year-old LeBron Givaun near the steps of the church as he arrived with his family at the young adult service at Pursuit Church. He had just gotten married a week earlier and had converted to Christianity just this year. A GoFundMe campaign for LeBron's family has already raised over $70,000. The unidentified suspect reportedly shot the victim in the chest before fleeing the scene in a white Hyundai Elantra with black wheels and a damaged passenger window, reports The Daily. It's not the first time the church has faced attacks. Rioters assaulted church members at a worship event earlier this year.  Listen to comments from Russell Johnson, the pastor of Pursuit Church. JOHNSON: “The thugs who committed this crime were trying to send a message: no church is safe, no house of worship is sacred. The enemy would love for us to back down and hide, but that is simply not who we are. “And although the blood of LeBron is still stained on the front steps of our building, I'm here today to tell you there is a blood that speaks a better word. And it is the precious blood of Jesus that covers us today and provides forgiveness, protection, blessing, and healing.” Revelation 12:11 says the church overcame the Devil “by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, August 7th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. Welcome to The Daily, where we study the Bible verse by verse, chapter by chapter, every day. Today's shout-out goes to Jody Jones and Chuck Gantz from Millwood Inc. Thank you for inviting me to speak with your staff at your place of business. You're helping others find strength. This one's for you. Our text today is Mark 14:43-52: And immediately, while he was still speaking, Judas came, one of the twelve, and with him a crowd with swords and clubs, from the chief priests and the scribes and the elders. Now the betrayer had given them a sign, saying, "The one I will kiss is the man. Seize him and lead him away under guard." And when he came, he went up to him at once and said, "Rabbi!" And he kissed him. And they laid hands on him and seized him. But one of those who stood by drew his sword and struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his ear. And Jesus said to them, "Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs to capture me? Day after day I was with you in the temple teaching, and you did not seize me. But let the Scriptures be fulfilled." And they all left him and fled. And a young man followed him, with nothing but a linen cloth about his body. And they seized him, but he left the linen cloth and ran away naked. — Mark 14:43-52 This moment stings with betrayal. Jesus has just prayed with deep anguish in Gethsemane, surrendering his will to the Father's. And now, immediately, Judas arrives—not alone, but leading an armed mob. Judas approaches and betrays Jesus with a kiss, a gesture usually reserved for friends. This intimate sign of affection becomes the painful mark of betrayal. Chaos erupts. Swords are drawn. A disciple lashes out. Fear grips the air. And amid the panic, Jesus remains remarkably composed, reminding them that he had always been accessible. He had taught openly, day after day. Yet, they come for him under the cover of darkness. At this moment, every follower flees. Those who promised unwavering loyalty scatter in fear. Even a young man, who followed briefly, escapes so hastily that he leaves his clothes behind, fleeing in shame and humiliation. But Jesus stands firm—betrayed, abandoned, yet unshaken. He doesn't run, retaliate, or collapse. He calmly faces the mob, resolved to fulfill Scripture and His divine purpose. We know the sting of betrayal and abandonment. Friends fail us. People we trusted leave us isolated. We've even been let down by those who were supposed to protect and support us. Yet, Jesus understands this pain intimately. He experienced betrayal at the deepest level, yet he remained faithful. His example shows us that when everyone else abandons us, He does not. He remains unshaken, steady, and true. Perhaps you're currently facing betrayal, loneliness, or disappointment. Don't retaliate. Don't let bitterness consume you. Instead, turn your eyes toward Jesus—the One who remained faithful when everyone else fled. Let that bitterness go. Right now. Jesus endured betrayal so you would never have to face yours alone. Even if others forsake you, He never will. #Betrayal #Faithfulness #Mark14 ASK THIS: Why does betrayal by someone close to you hurt so deeply? How does Jesus' composure in betrayal encourage you? In what situation do you currently need Christ's strength to forgive? How can reflecting on Christ's betrayal and faithfulness shape your response to disappointments? DO THIS: Today, choose forgiveness over bitterness. Release your pain to Jesus, knowing He understands your hurt deeply and will never abandon you. PRAY THIS: Jesus, thank you for enduring betrayal and abandonment for my sake. Help me to respond like you—unshaken, forgiving, and faithful—especially when others let me down. Amen. PLAY THIS: "Another in the Fire."

(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark African Muslims have killed 150,000 people in last 10 years A report from the Africa Center for Strategic Studies found militant Islamic groups have killed over 150,000 people across the continent in the last decade. Such groups killed 22,307 people in just the last year, a 60% increase from the previous year. Christian Daily International noted that a majority of them were Christians in West, East, and Central Africa.  The report highlighted violence in Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, Mali, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, and Somalia. Each country appears on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most dangerous countries to be a Christian.  Christian-majority countries have decreased A new report from Pew Research found the number of Christian-majority countries decreased between 2010 and 2020. The study found that 120 out of 201 countries had Christian majorities in 2020. That's down four countries from 2010.  The decrease in Christian-majority countries came with the rise of the religiously unaffiliated. Christians lost their majority status in the United Kingdom, Australia, France, and Uruguay. Meanwhile, the religiously unaffiliated have become the majority in Uruguay, the Netherlands, and New Zealand.  Psalm 33:12 says, “Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” Australia upholds ban on Christian doctor over pro-life, pro-heterosexual views Speaking of Australia, officials in the country recently upheld a ban on a Christian doctor for expressing his beliefs online. Dr. Jereth Kok is a general practitioner in Melbourne. He believed it was his duty to speak out on issues like abortion and sexually perverted lifestyles. However, the Medical Board of Australia suspended his medical license in 2019 after anonymous complaints about his social media posts. The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal upheld the suspension last month. The doctor, a born-again Christian, defended his stance, telling the tribunal he expressed these views on a Christian website, driven by his belief that “abortion is immoral” as a Christian and that he felt “required to speak out about the issue.”  And, on transgender surgeries, he called it  “medical butchery” and “sterilizing disfigurement to healthy young bodies.” Lyle Shelton with Australia's Family First Party commented on the case. He said, “This is about more than one man. It's about whether Australians — especially Christian and conservative professionals — are still free to express their views without losing their livelihoods.” Trump prohibits veterans' hospitals from killing babies In the United States, the Trump administration is reversing a Biden-era policy that allowed veterans' hospitals to perform abortions. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs published the proposed rule on Monday. The new rule will prohibit publicly-funded V.A. hospitals from killing unborn babies.  A statement from Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America said, “We thank President Trump and V.A. Secretary [Doug] Collins for restoring the rule of law and ending the Biden administration's illegal policy that forced taxpayers to fund abortions through V.A. hospitals and violated state pro-life laws.” Microsoft reached market capitalization of $4 trillion Microsoft became the second company to reach a market capitalization of $4 trillion last week. This comes shortly after Nvidia reached a $4 trillion market cap last month. Microsoft's latest growth was driven by its Azure cloud computing business. Nvidia and Microsoft have profited significantly from the rise of artificial intelligence technology. Meanwhile, Apple trails at third for most valuable company with a market cap of $3 trillion. American Bible Society: San Fran's Gen Zers more open to Christianity than elders The American Bible Society released a report on the religious views of people in the California's San Francisco Bay Area. The region skews younger, smarter, and wealthier than the rest of the United States. People are also less likely to identify as Christian and more likely to experience stress and anxiety. However, younger generations are more open to Christianity in the Bay Area compared to older generations there and even compared to their peers in the rest of America.  The study noted, “Though the Bay Area is home to fewer Christians and more atheists than the United States as a whole, the majority of people in the younger generations are curious, open, and even wish they read the Bible more.” 2 Timothy 3:15 says, “From childhood you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.” NASA planning to build nuclear reactor on moon And finally, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration is planning to build a nuclear reactor on the moon by 2030, reports Politico. Listen to comments from Interim NASA administrator Sean Duffy. DUFFY: “We're in a race to the moon, in a race with China to the moon, and to have a base on the moon, we need energy. Energy is important. And if we're going to be able to sustain life on the moon to then go to Mars, this technology is critically important.” A directive from Duffy stated, “Since March 2024, China and Russia have announced on at least three occasions a joint effort to place a reactor on the Moon by the mid-2030s. The first country to do so could potentially declare a keep-out zone which would significantly inhibit the United States from establishing a [permanent] presence if not there first.”  Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, August 6th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson with help from Timothy Reed Home evictions of Christians in Chhattisgarh, India continue Hundreds of Indian Christians have been evicted from their homes and banned from their villages in the district of Chhattisgarh because of their faith in Christ.  International Christian Concern reports that Abishek was brutally attacked and forced out of his home along with his 2-month-old daughter. They did not know where they would sleep that night. Despite his sudden hardship, he will not return to Hinduism. Abishek said, “We are determined to follow Jesus, no matter what.” He has built his own shelter with polythene covers. He still struggles to find regular work, sometimes six miles from home. He added, “Almost every day when I travel, I think of my family back in the village. Wild thoughts haunt me of ‘What if my family is attacked again? What if they are tortured in my absence?' When I pray to God, my heart is peaceful, and I am comforted through the messages I hear during the Sunday worship.” Argentina's Javier Milei standing strong to get deficit paid off Argentinian President Javier Milei is standing firm against any government funding increases.   He has vetoed increased funding for the nation's social security or pension program. Plus, he vetoed another bill passed by the National Congress of Argentina which would have provided pensions for persons with disabilities. Milei insists upon what he calls a “deficit zero.” The goal of zeroing out the deficit is, in his words, “non-negotiable.” Sadly, private charity is not doing well in Argentina. When asked “Have you donated money to charity in the last month?” Gallup discovered that Argentina was 112th on the list for 2024, according to the Buenos Aires Herald. The Scriptures encourage private charity in Deuteronomy 15:11. It says, “For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore, I command you, ‘You shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor in your land.'” Economies of Germany, Hungary, and Russia are stagnating Europe's largest economy is faltering. Germany's economy is the worst in the world for growth, as the nation faces a third consecutive year of recession. The economy shrunk in 2023 and 2024.  Now, 2025 isn't looking much better   Hungary and Russia are facing stagnant economies as well. But on the positive side, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam, Rwanda, and Ethiopia are seeing 6-7% growth in Gross National Income per person this fiscal year.  Church of Wales selects lesbian “Archbishop” The utterly apostate Church of Wales has appointed a lesbian named Cherry Vann to head their organization as what they refer to as an “archbishop.” She lives in sexual sin with her lesbian girlfriend named Wendy Diamond. This follows the church's approval of homosexual unions in 2021.  Weekly attendance with this national church has dropped off to 0.8% of the population down from 4% in the 1980s. Other denominations only claim about 0.6% of the population.   Also, the Scottish Episcopal Church and the Presbyterian Church of Scotland have adopted homosexual marriage ceremonies. Over in England, King Charles III has yet to appoint another Archbishop of Canterbury, after the previous archbishop resigned in the midst of scandal. Matthew 21:18 relates a similar story: “Now in the morning, as [Jesus] returned to the city, He was hungry. And seeing a fig tree by the road, He came to it and found nothing on it but leaves, and said to it, ‘Let no fruit grow on you ever again.' Immediately, the fig tree withered away.”  Trump upset with India for doing business with Russia U.S. President Donald Trump issued a rebuke to India for doing business with Russia, and funding the Russo-Ukrainian War, by purchasing Russian oil. Trump has imposed a 25% tariff on imports from India, beginning this month, and promises more due to India's partnership with Russia. India now purchases 35-40% of its crude oil from Russia, up from 0.2% before the Russo-Ukrainian War, averaging around 1.8 million barrels per day. China and India constitute Russia's strongest trade partners. China, India, and Russia's Gross Domestic Product combined total $25 trillion. Together, these three economies are about equal to the GDP of the United States. Tensions rise between U.S. and Russia President Donald Trump has ordered nuclear submarines to be on standby near Russia as tensions rise between the United States and Russia. The order came following threats of nuclear retaliation from Dmitry Medvedev, deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council. Trump responded to the threat on his social media platform called Truth Social. He wrote, “Words are very important, and can often lead to unintended consequences, I hope this will not be one of those instances.” Religious groups sue over ICE raids in churches  A number of Christian and religious groups, including the Evangelical Lutheran Church and American Baptist Churches USA, have filed a lawsuit in Massachusetts. They're challenging the Immigration and Customs Enforcement's ability to raid churches and religious facilities. The case is being represented by a legal group called Democracy Forward. Reverend Lisa Dunson of the Alliance of Baptists stated, “Raids on Houses of Worship desecrate sacred spaces, violate religious freedom, and spread fear among those seeking peace and refuge.”  The Department of Homeland Security has said that criminals will no longer be allowed to hide at churches or schools. Fewer Americans receiving COVID-19 boosters And finally, a new poll found that most Americans are wary of receiving a COVID-19 booster shot this fall. Fifty-nine percent of Americans are completely opposed to the shot or unlikely to receive one, compared to just 40% of Americans who are planning to receive a booster. Republicans are demonstrably less likely to get the shot than Democrats. And the elderly plan to receive boosters at a higher rate than younger generations. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ended its COVID-19 shot recommendation for pregnant women and healthy children earlier this year. It's Monday, August 4th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Cuban pastor harassed Cuban pastor Maikel Velázquez vanished about 14 hours after delivering epilepsy medication to a friend's granddaughter on July 9th in the island country, reports International Christian Concern. Velázquez delivered the medicine to the granddaughter of Marta Benites, whose sons were imprisoned for participating in a peaceful protest in July 2021 in San José de las Lajas, Mayabeque. Immediately after the delivery, Velázquez was abruptly barred from entering the Benites home. Moments after completing a phone call with another pastor, he disappeared. His phone was instantly switched off, severing all contact. Pastors from the Alliance of Christians of Cuba launched a search for Velázquez, combing hospitals, detention centers, and police stations — yet their efforts yielded no clue to his whereabouts. At around 2:00 a.m. on July 10th, Velázquez was discovered outside his home, clearly shaken after enduring a traumatic interrogation and serious threats. When questioned, he would not disclose details of the incident and behaved erratically, sometimes yelling and at other times falling eerily silent. Pastor Velázquez's abduction is only the most recent in a string of alarming cases of pastoral harassment in Cuba. In John 15:18, Jesus said, “If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated Me first.” According to Open Doors, Cuba is the 26th most dangerous country worldwide for Christians. Corporation for Public Broadcasting is shutting down The Corporation for Public Broadcasting announced it is shutting down, reports American Family Radio. Congress created it in 1967 with the Public Broadcasting Act in order to promote educational and cultural programming that was not being done by the three broadcast networks.  With a current half-billion dollar annual budget, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting is now most known for overseeing liberal news outlet National Public Radio and the liberal network PBS. Back in May, President Trump signed an executive order to stop taxpayer funded biased media. Republican-hating NPR sued to challenge that order and told the court any decision to cut off funding must come from Congress.  With that challenge in the courts, the White House sent a rescissions package to Congress in late May. The GOP-led House passed the measure 214-212. In the U.S. Senate, Vice President J.D. Vance cast the tie vote for passage.  Heritage Foundation senior fellow Mike Gonzalez said a nation that is $36 trillion in debt should not be paying for news coverage that tells half the country to "get lost" because of its political beliefs.  HR15 enables perversion and abortion for public school minors Liberty Counsel took a case to the U.S. Supreme Court to ensure that parents  are allowed to opt their children out of homosexual and transgender indoctrination in public schools. However, if House Resolution 15 passes, it will open the floodgates and will force parents, counselors, and teachers to celebrate this destructive behavior. This bill has been introduced in both the current U.S. House and Senate. HR 15 — the misnamed “Equality Act” — will be a nightmare for everyone, warns Liberty Counsel Action. Every Democrat has signed on to the bill. And some Republicans voted for a prior version of HR 15. The margins are slim, and we could lose this battle if we remain silent. The battle in Congress will be fierce, but we must stop this bill for four reasons. First, if the child becomes confused by the propaganda at public schools — mandated by HR 15 — to think a person can choose their sex like they choose clothes, there will be no one to help them learn the truth. The child can demand hormone-blocking drugs (stopping puberty), opposite-sex hormones, and even surgery to remove healthy body parts. Parents will have no say, nor will the hospitals, health care providers, or pharmacists. Insurance and taxpayer funds will cover the expense. If the parents object, this will be considered child abuse, and the child could be removed from the home. Second, if someone pressures a young girl to get an abortion, she will have no one to protect her from this life-and-death decision. The so-called Equality Act will make abortion a federal right through all nine months. It will pre-empt every state law — including parental notification or consent and informed consent. The parents will have no say, nor will the hospitals, health care workers, or pharmacists.  Insurance companies cannot refuse coverage, and our taxes will fund the killing of innocent life. If parents, health care providers, or pharmacists resist the abortion, they can be sued by the U.S. Department of Justice, private individuals, and organizations — including Planned Parenthood. Third, if the child asks the parents for help to overcome unwanted homosexual attractions, behaviors, or gender confusion, there will be no one to help. The so-called Equality Act will make it illegal to provide any such counsel to help overcome these unwanted attractions, behaviors, or confusion. In fact, this bill makes such counsel illegal for all ages and for any counsel — licensed and unlicensed — and this includes pastoral counseling. Fourth, this dangerous bill will require Christian adoption and foster care ministries to place children in homosexual and transgender homes. And remember, the “Q” in LGBTQ encompasses nearly 550 paraphilias — which includes pedophilia! There will be no one to help these innocent children! In Matthew 18:6, Jesus said, “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in Me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Send faxes to Congress to stop the so-called Equality Act from endangering public school kids.  We have the special link for you in the transcript today at www.TheWorldview.com. Remember, some Republicans voted for a prior version of HR 15. The margins are slim, and we could lose this battle if we remain silent. White House Ballroom to add 90,000 square feet and cost $200 million And finally, the White House is about to get a major physical upgrade – a new ballroom. Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt made the announcement. LEAVITT:  “We are proud to announce that the construction of the new White House ballroom will begin. For 150 years, presidents, administrations and White House staff have longed for a large event space on the White House complex that can hold substantially more guests than currently allowed. President Trump has expressed his commitment to solving this problem on behalf of future administrations and the American people. “The White House is currently unable to host major functions, honoring world leaders and other countries, without having to install a large and unsightly tent approximately 100 yards away from the main building's entrance. “The White House State ballroom will be a much needed and exquisite addition of approximately 90,000 total square feet of carefully crafted space, with a seated capacity of 650 people, which is a significant increase from the 200-person seated capacity in the East Room of the White House.” Leavitt revealed the price tag and that it would not be paid for with tax dollars. LEAVITT: “President Trump and other donors have generously committed to donating the funds necessary to build this approximately $200 million structure.” White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles said, “President Trump is a builder at heart and has an extraordinary eye for detail.” … He is “fully committed to working with the appropriate organizations to preserving the special history of the White House.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Monday, August 4th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. Joshua 8:3 So Joshua arose, and all the people of war, to go up against Ai: and Joshua chose out thirty thousand mighty men of valour, and sent them away by night. 8:4 And he commanded them, saying, Behold, ye shall lie in wait against the city, even behind the city: go not very far from the city, but be ye all ready: 8:5 And I, and all the people that are with me, will approach unto the city: and it shall come to pass, when they come out against us, as at the first, that we will flee before them, 8:6 (For they will come out after us) till we have drawn them from the city; for they will say, They flee before us, as at the first: therefore we will flee before them. 8:7 Then ye shall rise up from the ambush, and seize upon the city: for the LORD your God will deliver it into your hand. 8:8 And it shall be, when ye have taken the city, that ye shall set the city on fire: according to the commandment of the LORD shall ye do. See, I have commanded you. 8:9 Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people. 8:10 And Joshua rose up early in the morning, and numbered the people, and went up, he and the elders of Israel, before the people to Ai. 8:11 And all the people, even the people of war that were with him, went up, and drew nigh, and came before the city, and pitched on the north side of Ai: now there was a valley between them and Ai. 8:12 And he took about five thousand men, and set them to lie in ambush between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of the city.

It's Friday, August 1st, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christians evicted from their homes in Chhattisgarh, India Three years ago, Manu, a 37-year-old day laborer in Chhattisgarh, India, came to faith in Jesus after experiencing a miraculous healing. Then, roughly two months ago, he started to pay a price for his Christian faith, reports International Christian Concern. Manu said, “I was thrown out of my house because I follow Jesus.” He is one of the hundreds of Christians who have been evicted from their homes and banned from their villages in Chhattisgarh because of their faith in Christ. Hindu nationalists, who want India to be a purely Hindu nation, are increasingly forcing Christians to become homeless and destitute. The goal of the violent attacks is to force the believers to return to Hinduism. Manu, his wife, and their two children have taken shelter in a temporary bamboo shed since May 21. He said, “My children are getting sick ever since we moved into this shed. The small bamboo shed does not protect us from rain, wind, and extreme weather conditions. This shed was used as a chicken shed prior to our occupation, with no facilities for people to live.” The persecution didn't end with the family losing their property. Hindu villagers also shunned the family, preventing them from purchasing products from certain vendors and hindering Manu from securing employment. When asked what keeps him from giving up on his faith, Manu explained, “Jesus gave me life, He gave me peace, and I am willing to make any sacrifice and bear all these hardships. I know it's all worth it.” In John 10:10, Jesus said, “I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” House Speaker: Democrats never mentioned Epstein files during Biden's term Appearing with Family Research Council President Tony Perkins on Saturday's “This Week on Capitol Hill,” House Speaker Mike Johnson explained that the Democrats are using the Epstein files as a wedge issue. JOHNSON: “The Democrats have been engaging in a civil war. They're trying to determine if they're going to go full Marxism, like with [Zohran] Mamdani, their nominee for mayor of New York City, or if they're going to go Marxism Light with their woke progressive nonsense that they tried to hoist upon the people for the last four years. So, they found a wedge issue trying to manufacture some controversy with the so-called Epstein files. Here's the problem they have, Tony, with their hypocrisy. It's quite laughable. “Remember, the Biden Department of Justice had all of these files in their possession for the previous four years. Not one time did [House Minority Leader] Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) or Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), or Jim McGovern (D-Mass.), or any of the Democrats who made so much noise over the last two weeks, not one time in the last four years that they mention the word Epstein at all. It's nowhere in their social media and their interviews or anything. And now, suddenly, it's the most important thing in the world. “We're not buying it, and I'm not going to allow them to drag the Congress into this. “The House Republicans are 100 percent united and 100 percent consistent, as we have been for many years regarding this matter. We want full transparency, total disclosure of all credible evidence. We want to and we must protect the innocent victims of those unspeakable crimes, trafficking and all the rest that were involved there. But it needs to be done in the right way.” The audacity of the Democrats surprises even House Speaker Johnson. JOHNSON: “They're trying to claim that this is some sort of cover-up. Remember, each of them were involved in orchestrating what was the largest political cover-up and political scandal in the history of the United States. And that was covering up for the rapid mental decline of the previous occupant of the White House. When Joe Biden was no longer fit to serve, they went out and tried to convince us of the opposite -- very, very dangerous stuff. They need to answer for that, and there needs to be a lot of accountability all the way around. And House Republicans are the ones urging that and pushing it along with every tool in our arsenal.” American Academy of Pediatrics says Trisomy 13 and 18 are not 'uniformly lethal' The American Academy of Pediatrics has released new guidance stating that the genetic disorders Trisomy 13 and 18 are not "uniformly lethal" and the practice of promoting abortion and "postnatal comfort care" for all children with the conditions is outdated, reports The Christian Post. The guidance, published July 21, notes the "steady increase in medical and surgical interventions for infants and children with trisomy 13 and 18.” The medical organization described the conditions as "chromosomal syndromes associated with a range of congenital anomalies and universally severe neurodevelopmental impairment." The American Academy of Pediatrics noted that about 12.3 percent of those with Trisomy 18 survive beyond their fifth birthday and 9.7 percent of children with Trisomy 13 survive as well. U.S. divorce and out-of-wedlock births are becoming less common The Institute for Family Studies is reporting that after many decades of increasing divorce, nonmarital childbearing, and children living in broken homes, current statistics show that the trends are either leveling off or reversing, reports The Washington Stand. The group notes that the largest shift has become apparent with divorce. After reaching a peak in the late '70s and early '80s, “the divorce rate has been falling in recent decades,” currently hitting a 50-year low. Divorce is less likely because “marriage has become more selective, with more educated, affluent, and religious couples becoming more likely to put a ring on it than the general population.” The Institute for Family Studies further observed that according to the most recent projections, the risk of first marriages ending in divorce is now around 40 percent, a significant drop from couples who married in the '80s and '90s, of whom 50 percent experienced divorce. Malachi 2:16 says, God “hates divorce.” Another factor contributing to more intact families is that the amount of children being born to unmarried women has leveled off. Children born out of wedlock peaked in 2009 and has plateaued ever since, remaining at roughly 40 percent over the last 15 years. Transgender Lady Liberty stirs debate at Smithsonian And finally, Amy Sherald is a 51-year-old woke artist who became famous for depicting the Statue of Liberty as black and transgender, reports Christian talk show host Todd Starnes. She also created a rendition of the famous World War Two Times Square kiss featuring two homosexual black men. And Sherald earned national acclaim for painting the official portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama. What an unusual combination – transgender statues, homosexual black men, and Michelle Obama. The National Portrait Gallery alerted the artist that they might remove her painting of “Transgender Lady Liberty” over fears it might anger President Donald Trump. Sherald accused the Smithsonian of censorship and pulled out of the exhibit.  The White House, which believed that the painting all but desecrated one of our most sacred symbols, celebrated the development as a step toward restoring sanity in the taxpayer-funded art world. Starnes concluded, “The only person censoring Sherald's exhibit is in fact Sherald. And Lady Liberty is meant to inspire national unity – not pronoun confusion.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Friday, August 1st, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Iran has arrested 54 Christians since ceasefire Article 18 reports that Iran has arrested 54 Christians since it agreed to a ceasefire with Israel on June 24. That's more arrests than the previous six months.  Christians in the Middle Eastern country are also facing increased hate speech since Iran's recent conflict with Israel. Many are seeking to paint Christians as co-conspirators with Israel.  Article18's executive director, Mansour Borji, commented, “We are very concerned for the well-being of all Iranian Christians … considering the past misuse of pseudo-legal provisions … to justify violence and punitive measures against this vulnerable community.” Hebrews 13:3 says, “Remember the prisoners as if chained with them—those who are mistreated—since you yourselves are in the body also.” Russia rocked by 8.8-magnitude earthquake One of the largest earthquakes ever recorded struck  Russia's far east coast yesterday morning. The 8.8-magnitude quake sent tsunami waves at Russia and Japan. The waves also reached parts of Hawaii and the U.S. West Coast.  Millions of people were told to seek high ground. However, authorities downgraded their warnings after the threat of major tsunami waves subsided. Russia experienced some damage but reported no casualties.  China launches nationwide childcare subsidy China launched its first nationwide subsidy for childcare on Monday. The government will offer families 3,600 yuan per year for each child under the age of three. That's the equivalent to about $500 per child.  The central government is also urging local authorities to introduce free preschool education.  China is introducing these measures at it continues to suffer population decline as the result of its previous one-child policy.  America's fertility rate drops to new low Meanwhile, in the United States, the fertility rate dropped to a new low in 2024. New data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found the fertility rate fell to 1.6 children per woman last year. The fertility rate declined for females in age groups 15-34, remained unchanged for women ages 35-39, and increased for women ages 40-44. U.S. economy grew by 3% The U.S. economy grew better than expected during the second quarter of this year. The Commerce Department reported gross domestic product increased at an annual rate of three percent during April, May, and June. That's up from a 0.5% decrease during the first quarter. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, calling for lower interest rates. He wrote, “2Q GDP JUST OUT: 3%, WAY BETTER THAN EXPECTED! . . . MUST NOW LOWER THE RATE. No Inflation! Let people buy, and refinance, their homes!” Obama-era climate regulation justified $1 trillion in regulations The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has proposed to rescind the 2009 Endangerment Finding. The Obama-era finding has been used for climate regulations like those on motor vehicle emissions. It justified over $1 trillion in regulations, including the Biden administration's electric vehicle mandate.  Republican U.S. Congressman Mark Messmer of Indiana said, “The Endangerment Finding has long been a Democrat tool to issue burdensome regulations that ignore commonsense science in pursuit of radical Green New Deal aligned agendas. I applaud … the entire Trump Administration for making sure we cut the red tape that is unnecessarily impeding American business.”  Adultery, cloning humans, suicide, and polygamy still considered morally wrong Gallup released their latest poll on Americans' opinions of the moral acceptability of 20 behaviors. The vast majority of U.S. adults still believe adultery, cloning humans, suicide, and polygamy are morally wrong. Respondents were more divided on abortion. Most Americans believe birth control, divorce, and premarital sex are morally acceptable.  These findings are generally similar to last year. However, views of the moral acceptability of abortion and “changing one's gender” are down compared to last year. Proverbs 29:18 says, “Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint, but blessed is he who keeps the law.” 250 years of U.S. Army Chaplains And finally, U.S. Army Chaplains celebrated 250 years of ministry this month. On July 29, 1775, the Continental Congress granted the request of General George Washington to establish an official position for military chaplains.  Since then, there have been 25,000 Army chaplains. Three thousand currently serve in the U.S. Army. Listen to comments from Senior Army Chaplain (Lt. Col.) Ludovic Foyou made at Arlington National Cemetery.  FOYOU: “Today marks 250 years of the US Army Chaplain Corps. That is 250 years of ministry alongside the brave, praying with the dying, walking with the wounded, and standing watch with those who bear the burden of defense. “Two and a half centuries of ministry in boots, of comfort offered besides cots, of prayers whispered beneath helmets, in tents and trenches deserts and jungles and now across the world. “It is ministry like no other one, forged in the very crucible of conflict, yet rooted in the deepest well of hope, mercy and calling.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, July 31st, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Ugandan Muslims kill relative convert to Christianity Muslims in Uganda killed a relative of theirs earlier this month after he had converted to Christianity.  Kasajja Abdul Maliki accepted Christ in April. The pastor who shared the Gospel with him told Morning Star News, “I took him to my house and discipled him in Christian teachings for a week, and thereafter he returned back to his home.”  Since then, Maliki stopped attending prayers at the mosque. He would study the Bible and pray in his home instead. His relatives broke into his house on July 18. They found him praying for their salvation. Some of them became so angry, they began beating him and even stabbed him. Neighbors tried to save Maliki, but he died on the way to a nearby clinic. Revelation 12:11 says, “They overcame [the Devil] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death.” Argentinian president recognizes non-Catholic religious groups Evangelical Focus reports that Argentina now recognizes Evangelical churches. President Javier Milei signed a measure to officially recognize non-Catholic religious groups as “religious legal entities.” Most people in Argentina still identify as Catholic, but the number of Evangelicals has grown in recent years. The Christian Alliance of Evangelical Churches of the Republic of Argentina commented on the new measure. It said, “This was achieved thanks to the efforts, prayers, and perseverance of Christians who have worked with respect, patience, and faith to see this progress for over 30 years.” Florida has greatest religious liberty; West Virginia the worst In the United States, First Liberty Institute released their 2025 Religious Liberty in the States report. The report evaluates states based on 47 religious liberty safeguards. The top state this year was Florida with a score of 74.6%. The worst state was West Virginia with a score of 19.6%. Most states fell in the 25%-50% range.  Republican Florida Governor Ron DeSantis enthusiastically affirmed religious liberty. DeSANTIS: “Today, Florida has earned the number one ranking amongst all 50 states for protecting religious liberty. If you go back to the founding of our country, religious liberty was basically the first freedom that the Founding Fathers sought to protect. “Religious freedom was part of the reason people even settled in the American colonies to begin with. This is something that is central to the American experiment and central to our way of life. But it is something that has really been under assault in recent years.” U.S. federal employees allowed to talk about Christian faith Federal employees can now talk about their faith at work. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management sent out a memo on Monday about protecting religious expression in the federal workplace. Workers are allowed to display Bibles and crosses, talk to other employees about their faith, and form prayer groups.  The memo states, “The Federal workforce should be a welcoming place for Federal employees who practice a religious faith. Allowing religious discrimination in the Federal workplace violates the law. It also threatens to adversely impact recruitment and retention of highly-qualified employees of faith.” Planned Parenthood closes 33 abortion mills nationally Life News reports that Planned Parenthood has closed 33 abortion mills so far this year. This includes one of its locations in the Houston area of Texas which was known as the largest abortion mill in the Western Hemisphere.  Shawn Carney with 40 Days for Life said, “The defunding of Planned Parenthood and the closure of abortion centers from coast to coast means that July 2025 will go down as the WORST month in Planned Parenthood's history… for now!  Toppling this abortion Goliath proves that, with God, all things truly are possible.” Trust in church increases And finally, people are putting more trust in the church, according to a survey from Gallup. Thirty-six percent of U.S. adults have significant confidence in the church. That's up from 31% in 2022. However, it's down from 66% in 1973 when Gallup first started tracking the percentage. The last year that a majority of Americans had confidence in the church was 2009. Currently, the only institutions that a majority of Americans trust are small business, the military, and science.  Proverbs 3:5-6 reminds us, “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, July 30th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. It's Tuesday, July 29th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Ugandan Muslim terrorists massacre 40 Catholics with machetes Members of the Islamic Allied Democratic Forces, based in Western Uganda, struck the Congo town of Komanda on Sunday, killing almost 40 Catholic worshipers with machetes. This follows a similar massacre of 70 Protestant Christians in February in the city of Mayba, Congo.  522,000 Sudanese babies died of malnutrition Famine is on the rise across the world today, according to the World Food Program.  A total of 600,000 Sudanese face catastrophic hunger, and 8 million face emergency levels of hunger. The problem is four times worse in Sudan than it was last year. Since the outbreak of the Sudanese civil war in 2023, over 522,000 babies have died of malnutrition, as well as thousands of older children. That's according to the Committee of Sudanese Doctors.  This represents a sharp increase of deaths by famine — a metric that has averaged around 100,000 per year since the 1970s. Other nations facing emergency levels of hunger include Myanmar, South Sudan, Mali, and Haiti.   127 people starved to death in Gaza The World Food Program revealed about half a million people face catastrophic hunger in Gaza. Specifically, the AP reports that 127 people have starved to death in Gaza this year. From Psalm 146:5-9, we read, “Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God, Who made Heaven and Earth, the sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever, Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The Lord gives freedom to the prisoners.” Cambodian/Thai ceasefire It all started when Cambodian tourists visiting Thailand began singing the Cambodian national anthem back in February. Then, on May 28th of this year, Cambodian and Thai soldiers took a few pot shots at each other across the border.   One Cambodian soldier died. Tensions increased over the next month. During early July, several Thai soldiers were severely injured when stepping on Cambodian-placed landmines at the border.  That's what it took to ignite all-out war between the two countries, beginning on July 24th. At least 33 citizens and soldiers were killed in the conflict. This conflict, which became deadly, illustrates the biblical principle from 1 Corinthians 3:3. It says, “For you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?” Thankfully, as of yesterday, the two nations have reached an agreement to an "immediate and unconditional ceasefire,” reports The Khmer Times. Japan's conservative political party rising in stature An anti-immigrant, anti-foreigner party called Sanseito has gained ascendance in Japan for the first time since World War II — moving from 1 to 15 seats in the nation's governing body. Other conservative type parties gained another 15 seats in the 248 seat upper house, for a total of a 12% gain. Trump to Russia: 12 days to reach ceasefire President Donald Trump is upping the ante with Russia. He gave Russian President Valdimir Putin 12 days to reach a ceasefire with Ukraine, or he will impose 100% tariffs on countries which purchase Russian exports. That would include China, India, Turkey, Brazil, South Korea, and Taiwan. Democrats viewed extremely unfavorably The Democrats are now viewed extremely unfavorably here in America by the public.  A new Wall Street Journal poll revealed that 63% of voters look upon the party unfavorably. Only 33% view it favorably.  The American public appreciates the Republican views over the Democratic views on issues like immigration, inflation, and foreign policy. Americans are also most upset with the Trump administration over tariffs, healthcare, and the Ukraine war. 63% of Americans want abortion legal in most cases The latest Associated Press/National Opinion Research Center polling indicates that 63% of Americans want abortion legal in most cases, and 52% support abortion for any reason whatsoever. Hulk Hogan rededicated faith in Christ at baptism 18 months before death And finally, a pastor with Indian Rocks Baptist Church in Florida has publicly announced baptizing Hulk Hogan, whose given name was Terry Bollea, prior to the pro-wrestler's recent passing.  According to the New York Post, Hogan was baptized 18 months before his death on July 24, 2025. Hogan was asked about it on the Christian Broadcasting Network. REPORTER: “Public baptism. You have said: the greatest moment of your life.” HOGAN: “Yes, without a doubt.” REPORTER: “Terry, what did that mean for you?” HOGAN: “It broke down that fourth or fifth wall to tell people the truth about my Lord and Savior, and it set me free. I wasn't that perfect vessel that I should have been. Once I was baptized, I felt I was all new. It really was a major pivot in my life.” In December 2023, Hogan wrote that his baptism marked “Total surrender and dedication to Jesus.” Pastor Aaron Filippone included an extended eulogy for Hogan on an X post over the weekend. The pastor noted that Hogan had worshiped faithfully with his wife at the church over the past two years.. He said, “He didn't just talk about his faith—he lived it. He walked in grace, and he made sure everyone around him knew that grace was available for them too.” The pastor added: “Jesus offers hope, forgiveness, and eternal life to anyone who believes. We invite you to visit a local, Bible-believing church—just like Terry did.”   Hogan, referencing his actual first name of “Terry” in this portion of the CBN interview, talked about his desire to live a faithful life as a Christian. HOGAN:  “What Terry brings to the table is a meat suit, a meat suit, filled with the Spirit of Christ, and it's a testing ground for me. I accepted Christ as my Savior. I was 14, but I derailed. It wasn't my life. He has given me the opportunity to prove that I'm faithful and I'll never make those same mistakes again.” Indeed, Hogan had led a rocky life, marked by two unhappy divorces.   Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, July 29th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. It's Monday, July 28th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Seven Evangelicals in Columbia killed by armed group Seven bodies of Evangelical Christians, and a relative to one of the victims, were found on July 1st in a mass, shallow grave in Guaviare, Colombia, reports International Christian Concern. In April, the Frente Armando Ríos, an illegal armed group that has been known to restrict freedom of religion, summoned the eight victims to interrogate them about a rival armed group. The eight people were reported missing shortly after the interrogation.  It was especially tragic because the victims were members of the Evangelical Alliance of Colombia and the Foursquare Gospel Church who were providing humanitarian aid in the area. Trump's massive trade deal with European Union Ahead of the August 1st deadline for the European Union to agree to a trade deal with the United States, President Donald Trump hammered out a major trade deal with the European Union, comprised of 27 countries, that he announced Sunday afternoon in Edinburgh, Scotland, reports RedState.com. Before the meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Trump pledged to change what he characterized as “a very one-sided transaction, very unfair to the United States.” TRUMP: “We've reached a deal. It's a giant deal with lots of countries. The European Union is going to agree to purchase from the United States $750 billion worth of energy. They are going to agree to invest into the United States $600 billion more than they're investing already. So, they're investing a large amount of money, but they're going to invest an additional $600 billion. “They're agreeing to open up their countries to trade at zero tariff.  So, that's a very big factor. And they're agreeing to purchase a vast amount of military equipment. We are agreeing that the tariff straight across for automobiles will be a straight-across tariff of 15%. “I think it's the biggest deal ever made. Thank you very much.” The zero tariff was applicable to all aircraft and component parts, certain chemicals, certain generic drugs, semiconductor equipment, some agricultural products, natural resources and critical raw materials. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen agreed that it was an impressive deal which was tough to negotiate, noted the Associated Press. VON DER LEYEN: “We have a trade deal between the two largest economies in the world. And it's a big deal. It's a huge deal. It will bring stability. It will bring predictability. That's very important for our businesses on both sides of the Atlantic. “The investments Mr. President just described -- that are going to go to the United States, and the purchases over there. “The European market is open. It's 450 million people. So, it's a good deal. It's a huge deal.” TRUMP: “Yeah.” VON DER LEYEN:  “with tough negotiations. I knew it at the beginning, and it was indeed very tough, but we came to good conclusions with both sides. TRUMP: “We did.” VON DER LEYEN: “So again, congratulations and many thanks!” Trump didn't give a specific amount that the EU countries would spend on military equipment, saying that there wasn't a firm number in the deal, but that it would be "hundreds of billions of dollars' worth of military equipment." The agreement for the European Union to purchase $750 billion worth of energy from the United States changes the state of political affairs globally since it makes European Union countries less dependent on Russia for energy, and takes lots of money out of the pockets of Vladimir Putin and Russian and Ukrainian oligarchs. Von Der Leyen said the deal was necessary to "rebalance" trade between the European Union and the United States. Trans-identified male athletes have stolen 1,941 gold medals Trans-identified male athletes have stolen over 1,900 gold medals from women and girls, according to a recent report released by Concerned Women for America, reports The Christian Post. The conservative advocacy group's report, released earlier this month, compiled data of recorded instances dating back to the 1980s of men competing in female-only events. In addition to the 1,941 gold medals won by male athletes in women-only competitions, they also claimed nearly $500,000 in prize money by competing in women's sports.  In California alone, over 521 women and girls were forced to settle for silver medals after being defeated by male athletes. According to the CWA report, men identifying as women have competed in more than 10,067 female sport events, both amateur and professional. The report also listed the national governing bodies that presided over competitions where men defeated female athletes, including the National Collegiate Athletic Association, multiple categories within the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and several state intercollegiate athletic associations. Penny Nance, president of Concerned Women for America, said, “For too long, trans-identifying males have displaced, disrupted, and injured women and girls in female sports categories. “Our research reveals the shocking truth of the matter — over 1,900 women have come in second place to men who claim to be women. This is outrageously unjust. Women and girls must have sex-protected athletics under Title IX.”  In Matthew 19:4, Jesus asked, ““Haven't you read that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female.'?” Michigan madman stabbed 11 Walmart shoppers On Saturday afternoon, 11 people were stabbed in a Michigan Walmart before the madman was detained by a few Marines and bystanders, reports One America News. The suspect, identified as 42-year-old Bradford James Gille, is expected to face terrorism and assault charges. Gille allegedly entered the Walmart in Traverse City, Michigan, at around 4:10 p.m. on Saturday, and attacked shoppers and one employee with a “folding knife” at around 4:45 p.m. in the checkout area of the store. Law enforcement responded within three minutes of an emergency 911 call, while a group of bystanders detained Gille in the parking lot. Specifically, 39-year-old Matt Kolakowski, a former U.S. Marine, had stopped at the Walmart for weekend supplies while on a family vacation when the stabbing occurred. He thought to himself, “Well, I don't got no weapon, so what am I going to do?' So, I just grabbed an empty grocery cart and just took off after him as hard as I could.” The suspect, who was overheard describing people in Walmart as evil, stabbed a man and an elderly woman while fleeing from the store. Kolakowski was eventually able to ram the suspect with the shopping cart. A pursuit ensued into the parking lot. Another Marine, Derrick Perry, who had just come from the firing range, still had his gun on his hip. When he pulled it on the stabber, the suspect dropped the knife. Planned Parenthood closes 5 California abortion mills And finally, the Planned Parenthood abortion business is closing more centers – with another 5 closing in northern California thanks to the defunding bill President Trump signed that took $300 million in taxpayer money away from the abortion giant, reports Life News. The “One Big Beautiful Bill,” signed by President Donald Trump earlier this month, prohibits Medicaid reimbursements for nonprofit health clinics that kill babies and receive more than $800,000 in federal funding annually, effectively cutting off federal support for California's 114 Planned Parenthood abortion mills. Ephesians 5:11 says, “Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.” Or in this case defund them. It's Friday, July 25th, A.D. 2025. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Victory for Dutch homeschool families Earlier this year, the Home School Legal Defense Association highlighted the story of the Hinrich Family, who fought for over a year for the right to homeschool their children in the Netherlands. Just this month, the Public Prosecutor's Office publicly stated that parents who refuse to send their children to compulsory school, based on a qualified religious objection, will no longer be prosecuted. Like the Hinrichs, over 2,100 children were exempt from compulsory attendance in 2024 in the Netherlands, due to objections by their parents that no school in their area reflected their religious convictions. This is one of the lawful reasons to homeschool in the country. Nevertheless, parents were criminally prosecuted for truancy and found themselves, as did the Hinrichs, in a court battle to defend their natural right to raise their children according to their religious convictions. Thankfully, this decision changes that. The Public Prosecutor reported there were 160 criminal cases against parents in 2024. These prosecutions occurred despite Article 18 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, which requires states, including the Netherlands, to respect “the liberty of parents…to ensure the religious and moral education of their children in conformity with their own convictions.” Please pray that the authorities in the Netherlands will stop harassing homeschoolers for good. Deuteronomy 6:4-7 underscores the role parents should play in the education of their children. “Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down, and when you get up.” Epstein files controversy dragging Trump presidency down The Epstein files controversy is dragging down the Trump presidency.  Gallup reports that his approval rating has sunk to 37%. The revolt of House Republicans who favor releasing the Epstein case documents surprised White House officials and multiple members of GOP leadership, reports Politico.com. Some have questioned whether President Trump himself is implicated criminally. In an interview with Major Garrett on CBS' The Takeout, House Speaker Mike Johnson emphasized the need to be transparent. JOHNSON: “We want full transparency. We want everybody who is involved in any way with the Epstein evils -- let's call it what it was -- to be brought to justice as quickly as possible. We want the full weight of the law on their heads.” GARRETT: “But when the Justice Department said in that same two-page memo, there's no reason to pursue further prosecutions, many said, ‘How can those two things be properly aligned?'” JOHNSON: “These are good questions. I don't know. I've never seen the Epstein evidence. It wasn't in my lane, but I have the same concern and question that a lot of people do. I mean, there are real victims here.” Murder victim's mother forgives murderer Bryan Kohberger Bryan Kohberger, who admitted to brutally stabbing four University of Idaho students to death at their home in November 2022, was given his sentence on July 23rd.  Sadly, the judge sidestepped Biblical justice found in Genesis 9:6 which says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made mankind." The judge gave Kohberger four consecutive sentences of life in prison without the possibility of parole. He was also ordered to pay a combined $200,000 in fines and $5,000 in civil penalties to the families of each victim. He was also sentenced to an additional 10 years in prison and ordered to pay a $50,000 fine in connection with a count of burglary associated with the crime.  Amazingly, the mother of one of Bryan Kohberger's murder victims forgave her daughter's killer in court Wednesday, expressing hope that he would find Jesus Christ and said she'd be praying for him.  Cara Northington, the mother of murder victim Xana Kernodle, expressed confidence that “Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, now has her in His loving arms in Heaven, where she can never be harmed ever again for eternity.”  “Ozzy” Osbourne, who championed hell, wanted to go to Heaven And finally, "Ozzy" Osbourne, who rose to prominence during the 1970s as the lead vocalist of the heavy metal band Black Sabbath, died on July 22nd at the age of 76, reports The Guardian. The English musician adopted the nickname "Prince of Darkness.” Osbourne's signature song entitled “Black Sabbath” included these lyrics: “What is this that stands before me? Figure in black which points at me Turn 'round quick, and start to run Find out I'm the chosen one.” In their 1970 song entitled “N.I.B.”,  they feature the lyrics, “My name is Lucifer, please take my hand.” And a 1980 song  entitled “Mr. Crowley” referenced Aleister Crowley, an English occultist often labeled as "the wickedest man in the world." Ozzy explored Crowley's legacy with curiosity and mystique. The lyrics said, “Mr. Crowley, what went on in your head? Oh Mr. Crowley, did you talk to the dead?” Osbourne sold over 100 million albums, including his solo work and Black Sabbath releases. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Black Sabbath in 2006 and as a solo artist in 2024. In the early 2000s, Osbourne became a reality television star when he appeared in the degrading, profanity-filled MTV reality show The Osbournes. It aired from 2002 to 2005 alongside Sharon, his second wife, and two of their children, Kelly and Jack.  Sadly, Osbourne abused alcohol and drugs most of his life.  He also was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in his twilight years. For someone who championed hell, he appeared to want to go to Heaven. In a 2010 interview with The Sunday Times, he said, “I genuinely believe that if you're a good person, you go to Heaven. But I can't imagine what that is. There has to be more to life than this.” There is indeed more to life than what we can see in the physical realm.  But, in Romans 3:10, the Bible says, “There is none righteous, no, not one.” And Isaiah 64:6 says, “All our righteousness is like filthy rags.” Finally, Romans 10:9 proclaims, “If you declare with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” If you've never repented of your sin and asked Jesus Christ to be your Savior and Lord, there is no time like the present. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark United Kingdom urging 10 countries to give religious freedom The United Kingdom is urging 10 countries in the world to protect religious freedom.  British Member of Parliament David Smith announced the plan earlier this month as the U.K.'s new Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief. Smith highlighted the persecution of Christians around the world in his briefing. His plan will promote religious freedom in countries where the need is greatest, including Afghanistan, Algeria, China, India, Iraq, Nigeria, Pakistan, Syria, Ukraine, and Vietnam. Listen to comments Smith made on his X account. SMITH: “So today, I was at the Foreign Office launching the freedom of religion or belief strategy -- a strategy that as U.K. Special Envoy, I've been working on for the last six months. “That strategy is going to help us work with civil society organizations, with the U.K. posts all around the world, to focus in on the places that we can make the most difference to make sure that people can have freedom of religion or belief and not be persecuted for what they believe.” At the end of his briefing, Smith quoted Proverbs 31:8-9 which says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly: defend the rights of the poor and needy.” U.S. to incinerate $10 million worth of contraceptives Reuters reports the United States is planning to incinerate nearly $10 million worth of contraceptives. The stockpile includes contraceptive implants and pills that have been stored in Belgium ever since President Donald Trump put a freeze on U.S. foreign aid. The U.S. turned down offers from the United Nations and other organizations to buy the contraceptives.  Instead, the U.S. is having them shipped to a facility in France that handles medical waste. This is in keeping with the Mexico City policy that Trump reinstated in January. The policy blocks U.S. funding to foreign groups that promote abortion. Trump cuts funding for transsexual drugs and surgeries for minors National Review reports the Trump administration is cutting federal funding for “sex trait modifications to minors.” The Department of Health and Human Service is working on a new rule to protect children from transsexual drugs and surgeries. Hospitals that harm children this way would not be allowed to participate in Medicare or Medicaid.  An administration official told National Review, “We are actively combing through all federal grants that go to the hospitals that still provide these procedures … to kids, and sorting through what funding could be cut.” Previously-owned homes sales down A report from the National Association of Realtors found the sale of previously owned homes fell 2.7% last month. Meanwhile, the median existing-home sales price is up 2% at $435,300 -- the highest ever.  Mortgage rates are also high with the average 30-year fixed-rate mortgage coming in at 6.75%. Lawrence Yun, Chief Economist at the National Association of Realtors, said, “Multiple years of undersupply are driving the record high home price. Home construction continues to lag population growth. This is holding back first-time home buyers from entering the market.” 25% of Gen Z workers regret college One out of four Gen Z workers regrets going to college, according to a report from Resume Genius. Survey respondents were born between 1997 and 2012. Seventy-three percent of Gen Z employees said they earned a degree. Of those, 21% said they work in a different field than their degree, and 19% said their degree didn't contribute to their career at all. Gen Z workers who studied science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or health professions were the most likely to say their degree contributed to their career.  If they could change their education path, 13% of Gen Z workers said they would learn a skilled trade or pursue a career that doesn't require a degree, and 10% would focus on entrepreneurship or self-employment.  More young men coming to church And finally, the American Bible Society released results from a flash poll it conducted last week.  Over 120 churches around the country responded to the survey. The poll found that 54% of churches are seeing more interest in the Bible among young adults. And 58% said they are seeing more men coming to church.  The survey noted, “Churches are seeing more men of all ages, but especially young, walking through their doors. And those who already attended are getting more invested in their faith and involved in their church.” In Titus 2:1, 2, 6, the Apostle Paul wrote, “But as for you, speak the things which are proper for sound doctrine: that the older men be sober, reverent, temperate, sound in faith, in love, in patience. … Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober-minded.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Thursday, July 24th, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Adam McManus Muslims kill Syrian pastor and 20 members of family Syrian Muslims took the life of a pastor and 20 members of his family over the weekend. Khalid Mezher was the pastor of the Good Shepherd Evangelical Church in southern Syria. He and his family converted to Christianity years ago out of a religious group in the area known as the Druze.  Violence between Druze militias and fighters from the Bedouin tribes, which are mostly Muslim, has taken the lives of hundreds of people over the last week.  Evangelical leader Johnnie Moore wrote on X, “Pastor Khalid died for a faith that many Christians hardly live. They are now martyrs who gave their entire lives, in difficult circumstances, to share the love of Jesus with their neighbors and beloved Syria.” In Matthew 16:25, Jesus said, “For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.” Puerto Rico protects kids from transsexual drugs and surgeries Puerto Rico is protecting children from transsexual drugs and surgeries. Last Wednesday, Republican Governor Jenniffer González Colón signed the Law for the Protection of the Health and Well-being of Minors in Puerto Rico. Harming children with such transsexual procedures is punishable by 15 years in prison.   Puerto Rico joins nearly 30 states in America with similar bans. Japan to invest $550 billion into America President Donald Trump secured a great deal with Japan, reports The Epoch Times. On Truth Social, President Trump announced, “We just completed a massive deal with Japan, perhaps the largest deal ever made. Japan will invest, at my direction, $550 billion into the United States, which will receive 90% of the profits. “This deal will create hundreds of thousands of jobs. There has never been anything like it. Perhaps most importantly, Japan will open their country to trade including cars and trucks, rice and certain other agricultural products. … Japan will pay reciprocal tariffs to the United States of 15%.” CBS/Skydance to pay Trump Foundation $36 million President Trump recently reached a $16 million settlement with Paramount, the parent of CBS News, over what he claimed was misleading editing of a pre-election interview with the Democratic candidate for president, Kamala Harris, reports The Guardian. While CBS initially called the lawsuit “completely without merit”, Paramount is in the midst of an $8 billion sale to the Hollywood studio Skydance Media, which requires the approval of federal regulators. President Trump has claimed that the future owner of CBS will provide him with $20 million worth of advertising and programming – days after the network canceled The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. On Truth Social, Trump wrote, “We have just achieved a BIG AND IMPORTANT WIN in our historic lawsuit against 60 Minutes, CBS, and Paramount. … CBS and its corporate owners knew that they defrauded the American people, and were desperate to settle. Paramount/CBS/60 Minutes have today paid $16 Million in settlement, and we also anticipate receiving $20 million more from the new owners, in advertising, PSAs, or similar programming, for a total of over $36 million dollars.” He added, “This is another in a long line of VICTORIES over the Fake News Media, who we are holding to account for their widespread fraud and deceit. The Wall Street Journal, The Failing New York Times, The Washington Post, MSDNC, CNN, and all other Mainstream Media Liars, are ON NOTICE that the days of them being allowed to deceive the American people are OVER.” Federal workforce shrunk by 22,000 people A report by the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond found the U.S. federal workforce has shrunk by over 22,000 people from January to May of this year. Chuck Ezell, the Acting Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, said, “The American people deserve a government that is lean, efficient, and focused on core priorities. This data marks the first measurable step toward President Trumpʼs vision of a disciplined, accountable federal workforce and itʼs only the beginning.” Trump has also extended his hiring freeze on federal workers through October. Foreign buyers purchased $56 billion worth of U.S. homes The National Association of Realtors reports that foreign buyers purchased $56 billion worth of U.S. homes from April 2024 through March 2025. The number of home purchases by foreign buyers rose to over 78,000 this year. That's up from last year's report, but still down from 284,000 purchases in 2017.  The top destination states for foreign buyers include Florida, California, Texas, and New York. The most popular origin countries of international buyers are China, Canada, Mexico, India, and the United Kingdom. China's share of buyers has gone up significantly since 2007. Star from The Cosby Show drowned Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who portrayed the teenage son Theo Huxtable on “The Cosby Show”, died at 54 in an accidental drowning in Costa Rica, reports the Associated Press. Costa Rica's Judicial Investigation Department said Warner drowned Sunday afternoon, July 20th on a beach on Costa Rica's Limón province when a current pulled him deeper into the ocean. His character, Theo, was the only son among four daughters in the household of Cosby's Cliff Huxtable and Phylicia Rashad's Clair Huxtable on the NBC sitcom. He was one of the prime representations of American teenage life and Black boyhood on a show that was the most popular in America for much of its run from 1984 to 1992. Christian golfer says priorities are faith, family, then golf And finally, Scottie Scheffler won the Open Championship earlier this week. Also known as the British Open, it's the oldest golf tournament in the world.  The American professional golfer has won 20 times worldwide since 2022. After his latest victory, Scheffler told reporters he enjoys golf but that faith and family are his greatest priorities.  SCHEFFLER: “I would say my greatest priorities are my faith and my family. Those come first for me. Golf is third in that I've said it for a long time. Golf is not how I identify myself. I don't identify myself by winning tournaments, chasing trophies, being famous or whatever it is. “This week, I was the best player in the world. I'm sitting here with the trophy. We're gonna start all over in Memphis, back to even par. Show goes on. I don't feel any different because I've won a golf tournament. This is not the ‘be all end all' for me, but I'm extremely grateful for it. “I don't think that I'm anything special, just because some weeks, I'm better at shooting a lower score than other guys are.” Scheffler's love for family inspired a Nike ad that celebrates fatherhood. The footwear company posted a picture of Scheffler on the golf course with his infant son. Nike wrote, “Priorities unchanged. Another major secured. The wins keep coming on and off the course for Scottie Scheffler.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Wednesday, July 23rd, in the year of our Lord 2025. Follow us on X or subscribe for free by Spotify, Amazon Music, or by iTunes or email to our unique Christian newscast at www.TheWorldview.com.  Plus, you can get the Generations app through Google Play or The App Store.
