SEASON 4 EPISODE 55: COUNTDOWN WITH KEITH OLBERMANN A-Block (2:30) SPECIAL COMMENT: So would you like to collapse the Trump Regime? Today? Peacefully? Legally? You - the White House press corps. It only takes one of you. You go into the next Oval Office Scrum, and you ask him politely for his explanation of something released by his administration, by Pam Bondi’s office, on the government website, and you read – quoting this FBI 302 interview file: “Maxwell presented (her) to Trump…by the things Maxwell said, it was clear that (she) was available…”And don’t stop reading and don’t make eye contact. THEN from the sworn affidavit, reed, quote: “I personally witnessed Defendant Trump telling the plaintiff that she couldn’t ever say anything, if she didn’t want to disappear like the 12-year old female (redacted) and that he was capable of having her whole family killed…” Quote: “the physical and sexual abuse that I personally witnessed of minor females at the hands of Mr. Trump and Mr. Epstein... under penalty of perjury even though I fully understand that the life of myself and my family is now in grave danger” unquote, what SIR is your explanation SIR about when you threatened this girl’s life, sir. Just keep asking. Don't make eye contact, don't stop, don't stop talking when he starts talking. Just reel off those quotes. And the one about becoming fertilizer. And the "Calendar Girls" story (as nonsensical as that probably is). And all the others. Because we don't always see the escape hatch when it appears before us, and it just appeared. Because the Epstein Files are part of an official Department of Justice Document Dump. Their contents are Pam Bondi's problem, not you or your lawyer's. And if you don't bear down and do this job as it was designed by the Founding Fathers, you will sooner or later face one of these outcomes: you'll be arrested, you'll be replaced by some automaton Bari Weiss likes, or the country will survive and the next people running media will never consider you for work because you were cowardly when we needed your courage. Oh and you can peacefully, legally end the careers of Elon Musk and Marco Rubio and Bari Weiss and lots of others. The material is all in front of you. Just have the courage to pick it up and fling it, like he'd fling his poo at you. ALSO: Don Lemon was arrested not because Jesus but because Trump has always hated him. And if you've forgotten, I explained two weeks ago why Trump was trying to restart the 2020 crap, now sending Tulsi Gabbard to Georgia. They're sitting up not a claim that the election was fixed, but that the election was fixed by another country (hey, Nicolas Maduro, you mind taking the rap, in exchange for a pardon?) and there is no statute of limitations on THAT. B-Block (34:55) THE WORST PERSONS IN THE WORLD: Harriet Hageman, the blob they elected to the House from Wyoming to replace Liz Cheney, is now running for Senate. Emphasize "running": she has fled a town hill. The Bill Maher Pretzel Logic: Celebrities should shut up, voters don't listen to TV and movie stars. But Bill, you expect them to listen to you. So you're saying you're not a star? And the latest Bari Weiss firing target is supposedly Face The Nation host Margaret Brennan and one of the names being thrown around (probably nonsensically) is Matt Lauer. C-Block (54:00) MONDAYS WITH THURBER: We need a doubleheader. I heard an audio book with a famous actor doing Thurber's tribute to what would be called Dunning-Kruger Syndrome: "The Macbeth Murder Mystery" and it was one of those rare times when I actually said "No - I did this better." So I bring it to you, and as a bonus, a second great unheralded Thurber story: "Meet Birdey Doggett." Enjoy them at your leisure.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

(Secrets Between Sisters) *** It's called the Chronovisor – and it is said the device can look into events in the future as well as the past. Is it true? We may never know – the Vatican, the supposed owners of the device, are refusing to cooperate when questioned. (Does The Vatican Have a Time Machine?) *** An Alaskan hunter claims to have found a boy that had been kidnapped… not by humans or aliens, but by a mysterious creature knows as the ircenrraat. (Abducted By The Ircenrraat) *** It is considered to be one of the most beautiful lakes in the United States. But there are also tales of ghosts, a giant lake monster, unexplained disappearances, and murders. That's only a sample of what you might find at Oregon's Crater Lake. On the surface, the 25th Amendment is a perfect mechanism for providing a stable transition of Presidential power. But that's not what early state ratification critics thought. And it's not how Hollywood writers oft envision it. When debating the 25th amendment to the US Constitution, one state legislator called it rushing "pell-mell into madness." Another said it did not complete the very purpose it intended and should go back to Congress for fixing. And still another said it has a huge hole around the vice presidency. These state quibbles were enough for a scare, but the states ratified anyway, in the wake of the Cuban Missile Crisis and a bipartisan push. But were the arguments valid? Although the 25th is designed to potentially remove a President, it is also designed to avoid doing that if at all possible. It was written by politicians to avoid politics, and as several TV and movie writers have found, it could create lots of politics. If you find it confusing, you aren't alone. Some opponents during its ratification took a look at what came out of the hard work of Sen. Kefauver and Bayh and said - why was it written this way? And not all their criticisms were answered. In this episode we look at the 25th and objections raised in Pennsylvania, Arkansas and Colorado that might have sunk the amendment. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

I just got back from the Novel Marketing Conference. This was put on by my friend Thomas Umstattd Jr (who has a great podcast for authors). I love single track events, and this one was AMAZING. It was all about book marketing (which applies to podcasting). Only the original Podfest comes close (but that didn't feed me Schlotzky's deli Sandwiches).I need to give credit, the "Four D's" come from Chase Replogle who does a few podcasts including the Pastor Writer, Let's Talk Bible: Kids, and he's the Pastor at Bent Oak Church. His opening keynote was AMAZING. I have adopted it for podcasters.Main Points:Single Track Conferences: I explained why single-track conferences are my favorite—you don't miss out on sessions, and the Novel Marketing Conference was one of the best I've attended.Opening Keynote – The Four Ds: Chase Replogle's talk resonated with the “Four Ds”: decisiveness, discipline, discernment, and devotion—applies to both writing and podcasting. My favorite: nobody listens to what you record, they listen to what you edit (editing is magic!).Marketing Parallels: Even though this was a book conference, book marketing is a close cousin to podcast marketing. The basic principles really do translate.Serving Your Audience: I reflected on the courage to create, facing the fear of “what if nobody listens?”, and focusing on service and devotion to your listeners. Is Your Podcast a Painkiller or a Vitamin?: Thanks to Thomas Umstattd Jr.'s talk—a “painkiller” solves a direct need, while a “vitamin” is nice to have but not urgent. Think about what pain your show removes for your audience.Podcast Competition: I highlighted that we're not just competing with other podcasts, but with all forms of entertainment—TV, games, etc. Know your unique value. Why People Listen: People consume podcasts for entertainment, education, or escape. I asked: Does your show serve one (or more) of these needs?Value of Listener's Time: All podcasts are “free,” but listeners pay with their time. We need to make it worth it.Improving Your Show: Attending other sessions gave me ideas about making changes that truly improve the show rather than just making it different.AI & Prompts: I shared tips I learned about using AI—give ChatGPT clear instructions about who you are, what you...

Despite a complex childhood, and with her teenage years spent guiding the career of her controversial comedian mother Janey Godley whilst caring for her depressed autistic father, Ashley has just had the most surreal, dramatic, tragic… and successful year of her life. Her dream job was always in the magical world of TV with all its escapism, justice and happy endings. But the universe has a twisted sense of humour, and just as Ashley finally gets her big break, Janey is diagnosed with terminal cancer. Yay.In this episode, we jump inside the brilliant and unhinged autistic brain of our “adult perma-child” protagonist and attempt to unspool this tragicomedy with some hilarious digressions en route.Produced by Julia Sutherland Sound Design by Sean Kerwin A Dabster production for BBC Radio 4

Big opinions. Peak Chill Filtered chaos.

Independent Americans host Paul Rieckhoff joins NewsNation Now with Connell McShane and Republican leader Tiffany Smiley for a fiery, no-notes live TV showdown—and this all-new episode brings you the full, unfiltered audio. They clash over Trump's dramatic move in Venezuela, regime change talk in Cuba, and what Paul calls a “vision board” foreign policy that now stretches from Venezuela to Cuba to even Greenland. At stake are core American values, the role of Congress, the risks of regime change wars, and whether our military and allies are being overextended in ways most Americans—and especially independents and veterans—do not want. From there, the debate shifts to ICE, immigration, and recent shootings in Minnesota, as Paul raises alarms about secretive, aggressive enforcement tactics and the blowback they are creating among Republicans, Second Amendment advocates, and independent voters. Tiffany counters that voters will ultimately judge Trump on their pocketbooks, pointing to tax cuts, rising wages, and a strong stock market as proof that his economic agenda will win out as people “start to feel it.” Paul pushes back that Trump's approval is collapsing with independents, and that Americans care not only about their wallets, but also about feeling safer and more respected in the world. Connell steps back and lets the sparks fly as the two battle over who really represents the rising independent majority. It's fast, unscripted, and raw, capturing the real fight over foreign policy, immigration, the economy, and the future of independent political power in America. If you're sick of canned talking points and partisan echo chambers, this is the front-row seat you've been waiting for. Lauren Cobello is the CEO and founder of Leverage with Media PR, a boutique public relations agency that helps authors, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders use media strategically to build authority, credibility, and growth. Before launching her agency, she spent nearly two decades building her own personal brand as a personal finance expert, becoming a three-time author and regular national TV personality on shows like The Today Show, Good Morning America, Dr. Oz, and Rachael Ray. After scaling her personal brand to seven figures, she sold that company and bootstrapped Leverage with Media PR from zero to a million-dollar agency in just 10 months. On this episode we talk about: How Lauren paid off 40,000 dollars in debt and built a personal finance brand from a couponing blog. How national TV appearances became top-of-funnel “ads” that fueled her seven-figure business. Why she sold her first company, downsized her lifestyle, and went all-in on starting a PR agency debt free. The truth about the PR industry, including low-quality agencies, profit-first models, and why so many founders feel burned. How traditional media, podcasts, and social platforms now work together to build authority in 2026. Why relationships and senior-level publicists are the real differentiators for landing meaningful TV and podcast placements. The realities of getting on top podcasts like Joe Rogan and why most entrepreneurs need a more strategic, ego-free media plan. Top 3 Takeaways Media is a multiplier: When used strategically, every TV appearance, podcast, or feature should act as top of funnel that drives people into a sales ecosystem and builds trust before you ever enter the room. Not all PR is created equal: Most agencies optimize for profit, staffing junior or outsourced teams, while the firms that actually move the needle rely on senior publicists with deep relationships and clear KPIs. Traditional media isn't dead—it's leveraged: In 2026, the strongest brands blend traditional TV, podcasts, social, and newsletters, using prestigious earned media (like major TV shows) for credibility and association that makes everything else easier. Notable Quotes "Every single TV appearance that I did became top of funnel—an ad that went into my sales funnel and got people to trust me before I even walked in the room." "PR is not marketing, and most PR agencies are full of it because they sell promises junior teams can't fulfill." "You probably aren't going on the top five podcasts you're dreaming about, but the right ‘smaller' shows can move the needle more than the ones with fake followers and vanity metrics." Connect with Lauren Cobello: LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/company/leveragewithmediapr Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/leveragewithmedia Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/lauren_cobello Other: Leverage with Media PR  Travis Makes Money is made possible by High Level – the All-In-One Sales & Marketing Platform built for agencies, by an agency. In this week's interview, Derek Champagne talks with Shark Tank veteran Steven Sashen. Steven talks with Derek about building an international business, stepping in the Shark Tank, and even his days of stand up comedy.Steven is the developer and CEO of Xero Shoes • Your Original Barefootware – www.XeroShoes.com. Steven and his wife, Lena Phoenix, started the “Barefoot… PLUS!” sandal business in late 2009; he had returned to sprinting 2 years earlier, at age 45, and experienced almost continuous injuries. An experiment with running barefoot cured the injuries and improved his times. Knowing about the Tarahumara indians in Mexico, who run hundreds of miles in sandals made of tire scraps lashed to their feet, Steven created a high-tech upgrade of that product and launched it online. With nothing but Search Engine Marketing and Social Media Marketing, Xero Shoes has become the best-selling running sandal in the world.Steven's commitment is to making footwear that lets customers connect with the ground and “Feel The World,” fits perfectly, express wearer's personalities, outlasts any other footwear, and uses fewer resources than any other footwear. He's also committed to discovering and teaching the best techniques for teaching natural movement — for walking, hiking, and running.Prior to jumping into the sandal business, Steven was an internationally-known Internet marketing expert, Search Engine and Social Media marketing consultant, and software designer. He also co-hosted the Emmy award winning, internationally syndicated TV show, Disk Doctors.Steven is also a Masters All-American sprinter, one of the fastest 50+ year olds in the United States.Learn more at www.xeroshoes.comBusiness Leadership Series Intro and Outro music provided by Just Off Turner: https://music.apple.com/za/album/the-long-walk-back/268386576

Subscribe today for access to our full catalog of bonus episodes, including 2+ new episodes every month! www.patreon.com/boysbiblestudy This week we continue our education on the mysterious ways of angels and what they're supposedly up to on Earth, this time by checking out a classic from one of the great film masters, Wim Wenders. What quickly becomes clear is that nearly everything we think we know about angels, whether in highbrow film or lowbrow TV, somehow circles back to TOUCHED BY AN ANGEL, the definitive compilation of contemporary angel lore. WINGS OF DESIRE (1987) is contemporary but predates TBAA, yet it's remarkable how many similarities these works share despite occupying different cultural zones. For all the ways storytellers have tried to mix angels and humans, modern takes tend to rely on the same handful of ideas, treating them like biblical canon even though they're mostly invented. It's fascinating how much angel mythology comes from movies and TV rather than ancient texts, even when it feels old and authoritative. WINGS OF DESIRE is a gorgeously shot film that looks beautiful both in black and white, representing a guardian angel's professional distance, and in color, representing the human world. Its images of angels silently hovering around their charges feel like both a love letter to Berlin and a meditation on angels. The film centers on two angels, Damiel and Cassiel, who independently long for the authenticity of human experience as an escape from their impartial immortality. That longing deepens for Damiel when he falls in love with a mortal circus performer named Marion. An unlikely bridge between worlds appears in Peter Falk, playing himself in an inventive twist on the angel myth. A former angel who gave up immortality to become an actor, Falk communicates with Damiel and Cassiel about mortal life. Will they follow his lead? At Boys' Bible Study, we appreciate the film's inventive addition to the trope: former angels living extraordinary lives on Earth. Using a recognizable name like Peter Falk makes the idea land harder for a celebrity-obsessed audience, pushing the fantasy of angels longing for humanity even further. Step into Episode 197 of On The Delo as Delo sits down with chef Beau MacMillan for an unflinching conversation about what happens when 30 years of grinding finally collide with reality.Beau has lived the highlights—celebrity chef status, Iron Chef wins, cooking for Steven Tyler, Jerry Bruckheimer, Adam Sandler, and building Sanctuary into a 23-year Arizona institution. What often goes untold is what happens when validation, recognition, and performance stop being enough. Now over 50, Beau describes feeling mentally 19 and physically 76. Decades of 14-hour days, seven-day weeks, and constant pressure caught up to him. The shift began when his wife, after prioritizing her own health, told him plainly: “We've got all these kids, and they need us. I want you to be around. This episode doesn't start with résumés or origin stories. It starts with reckoning.Beau opens up about quitting smoking after a lifetime of loving cigarettes, going alcohol-free in an industry built around booze, and rebuilding his health incrementally so he can actually be present for his wife and five kids. The yacht chapter—cooking in the Caribbean, losing 75–80 pounds, fasting, and learning to eat for fuel instead of numbing—became the baseline he's been trying to return to ever since. But this conversation goes beyond personal health. It confronts the brutal reality of hospitality: stress is the root cause, and substances, food, and dopamine become coping mechanisms when the pressure never stops. Beau reflects on thriving in chaos, the rush of 350-cover nights, and how the same wiring that made him great also made him numb.Leadership and legacy take center stage as Beau challenges industry norms—calling for clean, organized, desirable kitchens, real mentorship, and cultures where people stay because they know they matter. Success, for him, was never titles or money, but “beautiful people, beautiful places, beautiful food.Chapter Guide (Timestamps)(0:00 – 2:40) Introduction: Skipping the Origin Story and Starting in the Present(2:41 – 8:40) Turning 50: Health Wake-Up, Family Priorities, Quitting Smoking and Alcohol(8:41 – 15:20) The Yacht Chapter: Solitude, Weight Loss, Fasting, and Food as Fuel(15:21 – 23:35) Food, Addiction, and Incremental Change: Nourishment Over Numbing(23:36 – 31:15) The Invisible Weight of the Grind: 7-Day Weeks and Dopamine Highs(31:16 – 40:00) Kitchens, Culture, and Retention: Why Young Chefs Are Leaving(40:01 – 46:30) Stress as the Root Cause: Healing Hospitality and Managing Pressure(46:31 – 55:30) Sanctuary Legacy: Mentorship, Relationships, and Redefining Success(55:31 – 1:04:00) Early Career and Recognition: Celebrity Diners, TV, and Iron Chef(1:04:01 – 1:12:30) The Handwritten Letter: Top Chef, Timing, and Full-Circle Moments(1:12:31 – 1:20:00) Arizona as Home: Community, Gratitude, and What's Simmering(1:20:01 – 1:27:30) Resting, Consulting, and Manifesting the Next Chapter(1:27:31 – End) Quiet Heroes, True Impact, and Final ReflectionsThis isn't a redemption story. It's a recalibration. A hard look at ambition, sacrifice, and deciding—finally—that the game you've been playing isn't the one you want to win anymore. If you're caught in the grind, leading burned-out teams, or questioning the metrics you've been chasing, this episode is a gut check worth hearing.Drop a comment with what landed for you—was it the stress vs. substance framework? The mentoring legacy? The reframe on what success means? Let's keep this conversation going in the community.Follow Beau's Next Chapter: https://www.instagram.com/chefbeaumac
