Infused with the relaxing quality of nature and the sound-masking properties of white noise, listening to running water is an ideal way to turn off all the stressful things life brings, and to de-stress. Some of our most popular sounds include a river, flowing creek, babbling brook, gentle waves on a lake, and a bamboo fountain. Rain also creates a natural white noise. Infused with the relaxing quality of nature and the sound-masking properties of white noise, listening to rain is an ideal way to switch off all the stressful things life brings and to de-stress. Some of our most popular sounds are rain on an umbrella, hailstorms, hard rain, soft rain, gentle rain, wind and rain, rain on a car.White noise helps babies and children to get a better and deeper night's sleep. This is because external sounds are masked by the noise. With white noise in the background, your child will not hear annoying cars driving by or dogs barking in bed. This allows your little one to sleep better. And it also saves you as a parent a lot of hours!Pink noise is more common in nature than you might expect. It can be compared to continuous rainfall or wind. In addition to white noise, pink noise is also increasing in popularity, especially in business environments. Because it can increase productivity, concentration and creativity.Brown noise can be compared to waves of the sea, a river current, strong winds or the sound of thunder during a storm. Like pink noise, brown noise is very similar to white noise. However, the frequencies have been lowered even further and a lot more concentrated. This gives it a rougher/coarse tone than pink noise. It sounds a bit deeper and a bit bass-like. The benefits of brown noise are the same as the other types of noise. It provides relaxation, increased focus and improved deep sleep.DISCLAIMER: Be aware that loud noises can damage your hearing. If you can't carry on a conversation without raising your voice while playing one of our spheres, the sound may be too loud for your ears. Do not place the speakers directly next to a baby's ears. If you have trouble hearing or ringing in your ears, stop listening to the white noise immediately and see an audiologist or your doctor. The sounds provided by ASMR Sleep Recordings are for entertainment purposes only and are not a treatment for sleep disorders or tinnitus. Consult your doctor if you regularly have severe sleeping problems, experience fitful/restless sleep or feel tired during the day.ASMR Sleep Recordings is the white noise and nature sounds podcast to help you sleep, study or soothe a baby. Tired of losing accounts to low-price flyers or “I'll handle it in winter” cancellations? We share a practical retention system that keeps clients loyal by focusing on what they feel at home: fast replies, reliable visits, crystal water, and billing they can trust. No fluff—just the habits that stop churn before it starts. We start with communication, the heartbeat of retention. You'll learn how quick responses, photo proof, and simple updates solve the #1 reason customers switch providers. Then we lock in consistency: showing up the same day and within a familiar time window builds confidence, earns goodwill, and beats cheaper offers without a price war. We unpack seasonal myths too, explaining why winter can be messier than summer and how year‑round service prevents stains, algae, and costly spring recoveries. It's a clear script you can use at bids and renewals to set expectations and keep routes stable.Water quality makes or breaks loyalty, so we outline a preventive playbook: sustaining proper chlorine levels, using enhancers like borates or phosphate/enzyme programs, brushing every visit, and staying on top of filter maintenance. One bloom can be forgiven—repeat blooms are a deal‑breaker—so we show you how to document, communicate, and correct issues fast. Finally, we tackle billing transparency: notifying clients before parts are replaced, leaving old parts for inspection, photographing work, and giving clear price‑increase notices. When charges make sense, trust rises.Whether you're a solo operator or running a team, this episode gives you a proven framework to keep customers happy all year. If you found value, follow the show, share it with another pool pro, and leave a review to help more service teams build retention that lasts.Send us a textSupport the Pool Guy Podcast Show Sponsors! Ep 236 | This week on Discover Ag, Natalie and Tara dig into the headlines shaping how we think about food's worth, transparency, and trends — from America's broken sense of food value to Japan's farmer-forward labels and even Nara Smith's $38 garlic oil collab. America's "food value problem" takes center stage as the hosts unpack why Americans spend less than 10% of their income on food — among the lowest worldwide — and what that says about how we price nutrition versus convenience. Then they explore Japan's photo-on-pack movement that connects consumers directly to farmers, redefining transparency and trust in the grocery aisle. Next, influencer Nara Smith launches a $38 garlic oil with a luxury twist, sparking questions about marketing buzzwords and the psychology of "premium" food. Finally, they tackle the McBee Dynasty crop-fraud sentencing, and end on an unexpected high note — Italian water buffalo enjoying massages and Mozart while producing world-famous mozzarella. Send us a textThis episode addresses NICU staff mental health with Dr. Chavis Patterson, PhD (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia). He reviews common problems—toxic stress, compassion fatigue, irritability, sleep disturbance—and practical mitigation strategies: brief micro-practices (five-minute arrival/departure routines), peer debriefs (e.g., “pink flags”), unit multidisciplinary check-ins, and institutional resources such as employee assistance programs and embedded NICU psychologists. Patterson stresses normalizing emotional responses, reducing stigma around seeking psychotherapy, and building structural supports by advocating for funded on-unit psychology positions. Immediate actions: start regular team debriefs, map local mental-health resources, pilot embedded psychology coverage, and lead institutional advocacy to make staff mental health standard NICU practice.Support the showAs always, feel free to send us questions, comments, or suggestions to our email: nicupodcast@gmail.com. Water's future depends on sustainable funding, bipartisan policy, and stronger public communication. In this conversation from the Reservoir Center in Washington, D.C., Adam Krantz of the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) explains how federal investments and advocacy are shaping the next chapter for America's water infrastructure. He outlines the historic impact of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and why permanent, predictable federal funding is essential to maintain momentum. Krantz highlights the urgent need for a national Low-Income Household Water Assistance Program so that access to water is treated as essential as food and energy. He details efforts to get resources and technical help to smaller, under-resourced utilities—often left behind in traditional grant and loan programs—and how partnerships with larger systems can close that gap. The discussion also explores the role of programs like WIFIA and SRF in leveraging billions for critical projects nationwide. Looking ahead, Krantz calls for a united communications effort to position water alongside energy and transportation as the nation's most vital infrastructure, ensuring long-term investment, trust, and resilience.waterloop is a nonprofit news outlet exploring solutions for water sustainability. In response Ecojustice, the Alberta Wilderness Association, and Keepers of the Water filed a statement of concern asking the Alberta Energy Regulator to recognize the Athabasca River Basin as a “legal person” with the right to participate in decisions that affect its health. We speak with Matt Hulse, a lawyer for Ecojustice.
This week on the Missouri Woods & Water Podcast, Nate and Micah get a chance to sit down with our new friend Bryce Richardson about one of the coolest stories we have heard or had the chance to be a part of in some way. We met Bryce through a chance encounter while hunting together on a new piece of property and the rest of the story picks up steam from there. It is a great story from several angles. It shows that hunting neighbors can approach their common interests like normal people instead of asshats. It also is a great story of a bowhunter's first buck, and catching the aftermath in an unlikely way. Congratulations to Bryce on an awesome deer and thanks for listening!Check out the MWW Website for shows, partner discounts, and more!!! Subscribe To Our YouTube Channel!!! In this episode, I talk about four simple but powerful ways to be more active in daily life. Experts now agree that your overall level of movement—not your formal workouts—is the single most important factor for long-term health. You can’t just hit your morning spin class and then sit around the rest of the day. In fact, research on the “Active Couch Potato Syndrome” shows that even devoted exercisers can suffer from the diseases of sedentary living if the rest of their life is spent in a chair. Katy Bowman calls this the “lazy athlete mentality,” where you give yourself a hall pass for inactivity because you already worked out. I share four specific ways to break that pattern: start a morning exercise routine to set the tone for the day, sprinkle in brief micro workouts whenever you can, find more opportunities to walk (yes, even laps around the block count), and finally, add properly structured workouts to maintain strength and muscle mass. These habits not only boost energy and focus, but form the foundation for longevity, vitality, and graceful aging. Sandy Rosenthal was an ordinary citizen who became an extraordinary activist following Hurricane Katrina. After uncovering that defective flood walls built by the Army Corps of Engineers caused the disaster, Sandy founded the nonprofit levees.org and rallied over 25,000 supporters for safer infrastructure. Her book, 'Whispered in Water,' and her podcast, 'Beat The Big Guys,' continue to inspire change and empower listeners to take on powerful institutions and make a difference in their communities. Sandy shares her journey from a part-time copywriter to a relentless advocate for truth and accountability, highlighting the power of community mobilization and persistence. " " You do have to ask the questions, and if you stop asking, and if it appears that you're not paying attention, that's when bad things can happen, and that's when, I don't wanna call 'em the bad guys, but that's when the big guys win, when you stop paying attention." " It didn't take me long to realize that the big guys, like the Army Corps of Engineers are really just like bullies in the fourth grade playground. They're, they're big, but they're not smarter. They, they they, and, and the, they're elegant because they're big. And, and you know what happens when you're big and you're arrogant, you make big mistakes." " When that criticism comes, you need to look at it like free advice, free advice. What they're doing is they're finding problems with what you're doing and, and some of their points may actually be correct. They've actually helped you, even though they didn't mean to." Send us a textA gaming detour. A bold new audiobook format. And then a plunge into the oceanic heart of Avatar: The Way of Water that even a skeptical co-host didn't expect to love. We start with Oblivion's sprawling quest design and the surprising charm of getting lost without markers, then pivot to Audible's full-cast Harry Potter experiment—layered narration, ambient sound, and voices that feel like theater without sacrificing storytelling. That production craft becomes our springboard to Pandora, where performance capture turns pixels into people and water into memory.Once we hit the reefs, we get personal. We talk about what makes this sequel feel richer: a family on the run, new biomes that force growth, and a community whose bodies and culture have evolved for the sea. Quaritch's return as a recombinant lands like wicked irony—becoming what he hates to destroy it—and Kiri's mystery hums in the background, a soulful knot tied by Sigourney Weaver's uncanny performance. We dig into Spider's controversial choices, Neytiri's razor-edged grief, and the moral weight of the tulkun: a people with philosophy and song, set against human whaling that extracts Amrita with chilling efficiency. The effect isn't just visual spectacle; it's worldbuilding with ethics, family, and cost.We don't shy away from the hard hits. Neteyam's death, the suffocating tension aboard a sinking ship, and that scream of loss—all of it reminds us why this story lingers after the credits. We also peek at canon comics like The High Ground, how they frame the one-year gap, and why the film's more grounded path was the right call. Whether you're here for the tech, the tulkun, or the tangled loyalties, this conversation surfaces the reasons The Way of Water converts skeptics and rewards rewatchers. If this ride stirred something, follow the show, share with a friend who loves Pandora, and drop a five-star review so others can find us. Bruce Lee holds a special place in Seattle’s heart – and Seattle played a key role in Bruce Lee’s life. He attended the University of Washington. He taught martial arts around the city. And after his tragically young death, at the age of 32, Lee was buried at Lake View Cemetery on Capitol Hill. A biography by author Jeff Chang traces this journey alongside the cultural and political context in which Lee was becoming the international icon he is today. It’s called “Water Mirror Echo: Bruce Lee and the Making of Asian America.” In the book Chang shows how the rise of Bruce Lee mirrored the rise of Asian American identity and the ways that they each shaped each other. Origins of Water and Organic Molecules in Space4. Greg Brennecka explores the origins of life's ingredients, noting that Earth, Mars, and meteorites are fundamentally made of the same materials, with meteorites delivering complex organic molecules containing carbon. While life needs rock, energy, and water, scientists suspect Earth's water may have settled back after being liberated during the moon-forming impact, but meteorites still contributed significant building blocks in the form of pre-made ingredients like amino acids and nucleotides (adenine, guanine, and uracil) that formed in the outer solar system. Delivered in a "ready to go kit," these components simplify the emergence of life, and Brennecka stresses the need for continued missions to retrieve pristine asteroid samples to better understand our origins.

Welcome to Season 5, Episode 45! Today's episodes takes us back in history to the first "great war." We're focused on the forgotten participants in World War I… This is the story of the Chinese Labour Corps. During World War I, over 140,000 Chinese men crossed oceans to support the Allies. Their story is often forgotten and kind of ended in betrayal. China hoped to earn respect and reclaim lost territory, especially Shandong Province. But in the end, the Allies broke their promises, reinforcing racial stereotypes and leaving China humiliated. In our opening segment we celebrate the recent political wins by API in the November elections including Zohran Mamdani and Michelle Wu. We also celebrate the Dodgers 2nd World Series win. In our recurring segment, we bring back another segment of What Are We Reading to talk about The Strength of Water by Karin K. Jensen and Katabasis by R.F. Kuang.
