Engage with scripture readings, heartfelt devotionals, and collective prayers that draw you into the heart of God's love. Embark on this year-long voyage through the Bible, and let each day's passage uplift and inspire you. TODAY'S EPISODE: Welcome to the Daily Radio Bible! It's August 2nd, and we're on day 215 of our year-long journey through the Scriptures. I'm Hunter, your host, Bible reading coach, and a fellow traveler through these life-giving pages. In today's episode, we'll explore the rise and dramatic turnarounds in the reigns of Manasseh and Amon from 2 Kings 21 and 2 Chronicles 33—stories marked by heartbreaking rebellion, profound repentance, and the relentless mercy of God. Then, we'll move into the Gospel of John, where Jesus encounters the Samaritan woman at the well, offering her—and each of us—the living water that truly satisfies. As we read, we'll reflect on the deep thirst that only Christ can quench, the radical forgiveness He offers, and the invitation to worship in spirit and in truth. Join us as we open our hearts and let the Word point us to the One who knows everything about us yet loves us just the same. Whether you're feeling spiritually parched or longing for a fresh encounter, this episode is for you. Grab your Bible and let's dive in together. TODAY'S DEVOTION: Thirsty this woman was. And she was willing to admit it. She wasn't too proud to admit that she was thirsty. “Yes, Teacher, give me this water.” She said she knew that she was dying of thirst—that unless something changed, she would die. After five husbands, she was dying inside. But Jesus offers her this living water. Water that truly satisfies. Jesus mercifully offers those who are dying of thirst living water. Relief from the endless cycle of sin and shame. Sin and shame. Sin and shame. Relief from our past. Forgiveness. She says, “he told me everything I've ever done.” And although these words were not written, you could complete the statement with these: And he loved me just the same. It was this radical acceptance and forgiveness from a kind and merciful Messiah that delivered her from her desperate thirst. He knows everything, and he loves us just the same. Are you thirsty? He knows. And you have a kind and merciful Savior who is making a point of pursuing your heart to give you the water that will quench your desperate thirst. So drink well of that water. Remember that your Messiah is kind and he pursues your heart, knowing everything you've ever done and loving you just the same. Live in the light and joy of him and drink well. That's the prayer that I have for my own soul. That's a prayer that I have for my family, for my wife, my daughters, my son. And that's a prayer that I have for you. May it be so. TODAY'S PRAYERS: Jesus is my shepherd. You have called me by my name into the life of the beloved. Here in the stillness, I remember that I am not alone. I belong to you and to the great communion of saints and sinners held together in your love. Remind me, Lord, that every breath is grace, every encounter is a chance to give what I have received—mercy without measure. When I forget who I am, when I lose my way, lead me again to still waters. Restore my soul, renew my hope. Reroute me in the joy of simply being yours. Amen. The Lord's Prayer: And now, as our Lord has taught us, we are bold to pray: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen. OUR WEBSITE: www.dailyradiobible.com We are reading through the New Living Translation. Improve your health and happiness. The sound you hear in this episode creates a calm atmosphere and at the same time blocks out disturbing noises. This will help you de-stress, unwind, and rest. Enjoy two hours of relaxing sounds to help you relax, focus, study and fall asleep.About ASMR Sleep Recordings:The purpose of ASMR Sleep Recording is to help you sleep and concentrate better. This particular episode lasts two hours and has no ads in the middle, so you won't be woken up or disturbed while focusing or relaxing. When you listen to ASMR Sleep Recordings, you can lock your phone, so you won't get any bothersome stimuli from notifications and other sounds from your phone. You can switch between apps while studying or working without pausing the ambient sound.About our sounds:Water creates a natural white noise. Infused with the relaxing quality of nature and the sound-masking properties of white noise, listening to running water is an ideal way to turn off all the stressful things life brings, and to de-stress. Some of our most popular sounds include a river, flowing creek, babbling brook, gentle waves on a lake, and a bamboo fountain. Rain also creates a natural white noise. Infused with the relaxing quality of nature and the sound-masking properties of white noise, listening to rain is an ideal way to switch off all the stressful things life brings and to de-stress. Some of our most popular sounds are rain on an umbrella, hailstorms, hard rain, soft rain, gentle rain, wind and rain, rain on a car.White noise helps babies and children to get a better and deeper night's sleep. This is because external sounds are masked by the noise. With white noise in the background, your child will not hear annoying cars driving by or dogs barking in bed. This allows your little one to sleep better. And it also saves you as a parent a lot of hours!Pink noise is more common in nature than you might expect. It can be compared to continuous rainfall or wind. In addition to white noise, pink noise is also increasing in popularity, especially in business environments. Because it can increase productivity, concentration and creativity.Brown noise can be compared to waves of the sea, a river current, strong winds or the sound of thunder during a storm. Like pink noise, brown noise is very similar to white noise. However, the frequencies have been lowered even further and a lot more concentrated. This gives it a rougher/coarse tone than pink noise. It sounds a bit deeper and a bit bass-like. The benefits of brown noise are the same as the other types of noise. It provides relaxation, increased focus and improved deep sleep.DISCLAIMER: Be aware that loud noises can damage your hearing. If you can't carry on a conversation without raising your voice while playing one of our spheres, the sound may be too loud for your ears. Do not place the speakers directly next to a baby's ears. If you have trouble hearing or ringing in your ears, stop listening to the white noise immediately and see an audiologist or your doctor. The sounds provided by ASMR Sleep Recordings are for entertainment purposes only and are not a treatment for sleep disorders or tinnitus. Consult your doctor if you regularly have severe sleeping problems, experience fitful/restless sleep or feel tired during the day.ASMR Sleep Recordings is the white noise and nature sounds podcast to help you sleep, study or soothe a baby. ASMR Sleep Recordings has uploaded more than 400+ episodes in the 4 years that the podcast has been online. You can listen to all episodes of the podcast on your favorite podcast platform. Today, we are excited to welcome Sharon Day to the Native Lights Podcast. Sharon is enrolled with the Bois Forte Band of Ojibwe, and she serves as the executive director of the Indigenous Peoples Task Force. She's also a grandmother, an artist, a musician and writer, and she leads Water Walks, or Nibi Walks. A deep reverence for all living things underpins the decades she has devoted to Nibi Walks. She and fellow walkers gather water at the source and carry it the length or perimeter of the body of water. This can last weeks. They undertake these journeys to show respect for the water and to support its health. And because humans are mostly made of water, she is reminded that its health is our health too. Sharon makes her home on a farm, which is also a home and sanctuary for many kinds of wildlife. Spending so much time outdoors, she is attuned to the seasons and the impacts of climate change. Every morning, she wakes with gratitude for the land and a hope that she can be a little more kinder that day.-----Hosts: Leah Lemm, Cole Premo Editor: Britt Aamodt Editorial support: Emily Krumberger Mixing & mastering: Chris Harwood

This week's featured story comes from the Sparkle Car collection. It's called "Sparkle Car #8: The Magic of Backroads." This episode of Sparkle Car features a story from our "By Thistle By Thimble" story series: "The Glove Box" Gregory and his grandmother both share a deep interest in things from 'times gone by'. He spends long hours sorting through boxes in her attic, bins in her basement, and drawers in her garage; and she loves telling him stories about the curious tools and toys and objects that he finds. But there is one place he's not allowed to dig: the glove box in her car. She always tells him: "It is not for you Gregory - at least not yet." Many years later, Gregory gets to discover the magic that was kept inside - a magic that could show him something very dear to both him and his grandmother. Also included is the German folktale "The Water of Life", about the wanderings of the youngest son of an ailing man. The boy is able to find what his brothers could not, due to his generosity and kindness to a strange man he meets on a back road on the way to the palace. Tiyi lives in North Michigan where she is the Mayor of her town! She has Irish, Creole and Nordic ancestry and can trace her lineage back to Haiti in 1702. Her family's story is fascinating. Tiyi starts off by telling us about her Great-Grandmother who met a leprechaun in Cork, Ireland and shows us the resulting enchanted shillelagh that has been passed down her family. We hear also about her grandfather's Hoodoo practices and the wisdom he passed down to her. Being a sensitive soul and clearly bearing the generations of practice of sensitive and honourable spiritual contact, Tiyi recalls hearing ghosts and voices as a child. On occasion she would encounter what she describes as 'The Slinky Lady' and one of her stories details flying out-of-body experience where she felt herself as part of the landscape. Tiyi works with forest spirits and shares a life-changing experience in a woodland which took place at a very difficult time in her life. During this wondrous encounter, she received a blessing from the forest. On another occasion she perceived 'The Gate Keeper' in the forest, from which she produced the painting that is shared in the episode. We hear about the 'talking tree' that her grandchildren reported, and we end with a series of mind bogging photos that could potentially indicate a Sasquatch encounter! It was a great honour to speak with Tiyi and I'm very grateful for all she shared about her life and experiences, so rich with meaning. Here is the beautiful blessing that she provided: "Spirit of this sacred place, Grant your blessing, grant your grace, Keep me safe in night and day, Hold me ever in your sway, Spirit of Water earth and Green Grant me sight for things unseen" Contact Tiyi via her website and be sure to subscribe to her YouTube channel. https://youtube.com/@spookymstiyi?si=eer9ZYefAiicPRb6 https://spookymstiyi.com/https://youtube.com/@spookymstiyi?si=eer9ZYefAiicPRb6 https://spookymstiyi.com/ ⭐️ JOIN THE MODERN FAIRY SIGHTINGS COMMUNITY GROUP ⭐️ / membership If you're looking for exclusive bonus material, monthly zoom chats with like minded folks, access to the Discord channels and joining events with other members, join us at: / membership S U P P O R T If you'd prefer to support the Modern Fairy Sightings with a one off donation, you can ‘buy me a coffee' and I'd be very grateful

Ever wondered why a molecule as simple as hydrogen could influence everything from Parkinson's to metabolic syndrome? We explored how molecular hydrogen selectively targets only the most harmful free radicals while leaving beneficial ones alone, making it fundamentally different from every other antioxidant supplement gathering dust in your cabinet. The six-month metabolic syndrome study particularly caught my attention: participants drinking hydrogen water saw improvements in glucose levels, HbA1c, inflammation markers, and even lost weight – with no diet changes or exercise requirements.Tyler breaks down why those expensive alkaline water machines aren't doing what you think (spoiler: it's not about pH), why hydrogen inhalation requires serious safety considerations, and exactly how to dose hydrogen water for maximum benefit. And on top of all this, we tackle why this primordial molecule – literally present since the beginning of the universe – seems almost designed to work with human biology, and why megadoses of vitamins C and E can actually harm exercise performance while hydrogen acts as a fine-tuning modulator.Timestamps:0:00 Hydrogen's effects on major diseases2:45 Six-month metabolic syndrome study results5:15 Hydrogen only targets toxic radicals6:08 Divine properties of hydrogen molecule10:12 Basic chemistry of oxidation and reduction15:30 Dangers of excessive antioxidants23:45 How hydrogen modulates antioxidant systems47:20 Hydrogen production in your gut56:30 Inhaled vs drinking hydrogen water61:15 Explosive dangers of hydrogen inhalation71:30 Therapeutic dosing for hydrogen water85:45 Debunking alkaline and structured water94:30 Tyler's elite athletic performance secretsDisclaimer:Dr. Paul Saladino received his medical degree from the University of Arizona Medical School. What is baptism really all about? Water baptism is a way of going public with your faith—an outward sign of the inner change Jesus has made in your life. When you're baptized, you're saying, “I belong to Him.” It doesn't save you, but it boldly shows you're all in—living a new life in Christ and identifying with His death, burial, and resurrection.
