It's easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of the holidays and to lose touch with the reason for the season. Although the gift-giving possibilities are endless, the most cherished gift is often time spent with loved ones and friends. Memories last a lifetime; batteries wear out and Barbies go bald.In this episode, with Christmas approaching, we discuss alternatives that don't break the bank yet give the gift of togetherness. Reminisce, look at photo albums, invite your family to bake cookies or decorate the tree. Plan a trip. Go caroling. Volunteer at a food bank. Shop for a needy family. The time spent together will be memories you share for a lifetime. And when the planning and preparation is complete, remember to celebrate the birth of Jesus. Dr. Joscha Bach discusses advanced AI, consciousness, and cognitive modeling. He presents consciousness as a virtual property emerging from self-organizing software patterns, challenging panpsychism and materialism. Bach introduces "Cyberanima," reinterpreting animism through information processing, viewing spirits as self-organizing software agents. He addresses limitations of current large language models and advocates for smaller, more efficient AI models capable of reasoning from first principles. Bach describes his work with Liquid AI on novel neural network architectures for improved expressiveness and efficiency. The interview covers AI's societal implications, including regulation challenges and impact on innovation. Bach argues for balancing oversight with technological progress, warning against overly restrictive regulations. Throughout, Bach frames consciousness, intelligence, and agency as emergent properties of complex information processing systems, proposing a computational framework for cognitive phenomena and reality. Episode 120 - YouTube Beef, Gravel World Champs, and Tire Talk w/ Tyler Pearce (aka VC Adventures / The Vegan Cyclist) What up party people. I'm going to be completely honest here, I really had no idea who The Vegan Cyclist was until he started some good old fashioned beef with Dizzle in his Dustbowl 100 video and even after that I still didn't know his real name was Tyler Pearce until the night before recording this episode. But hey, I give the guy some serious props for agreeing to come on the show this week and checking his ego at the door. Tyler came into this conversation with not only an open mind but also open arms willing to accept Dizzle and his sometimes brash persona despite all the controversy that was sparked. Dylan and I mostly sit back and let the two YouTube frenemies clear the air on what really happened during their interaction at the Dust Bowl 100 before we all dive into some conversation on a few topics like Gravel World Champs, tires, marginal gains, and future projects VC is working up. Oh yeah, and if you came this week hoping I would share my latest tire test results comparing DJs beloved Race Kings to the Keegans sought after Aspen ST, I unfortunately was not able to complete the testing project prior to recording since we had to move our recording session forward a day but I'll post some of my preliminary findings on the socials at some point this week and leave the conversation for another episode. Cub Kuker Supernatural Podcast EP302 The Anunnaki Gods and Their Relationship to the IGIGI (Watchers): A Bold Perspective on Ancient Astronaut Theory Introduction: Diving into the depths of ancient Mesopotamian mythology, we uncover a narrative that challenges conventional interpretations. At the heart of this mythos are the Anunnaki gods, enigmatic celestial beings whose intricate connection to the IGIGI, known as the Watchers, beckons us to explore the revolutionary ideas proposed by the ancient astronaut theory. As we scrutinize the words etched in the cuneiform tablets, a provocative tapestry of extraterrestrial intervention and cosmic oversight begins to emerge. The Anunnaki Gods: Referenced extensively in texts like the "Enuma Elish" and the "Atra-Hasis," the Anunnaki gods are depicted as formidable entities shaping the destinies of both gods and mortals. An excerpt from the "Enuma Elish" asserts, "When the gods, man-like, bore the labor, carried the load, the gods' load was great, the toil grievous, the trouble excessive." This proclamation encapsulates their dominance over human affairs, implying a purposeful intervention beyond mere myth. The IGIGI - Watchers: In the fragments of the "Atra-Hasis" epic, a cryptic revelation surfaces. The IGIGI, the Watchers, are assigned the duty of vigilant observation, ensuring the continuity of cosmic order. A shard of text reads, "The luster [of the Anunnaki], from the earth the gods lifted." This reference tantalizingly hints at their role as overseers, potentially bearing witness to profound events occurring on Earth. Ancient Astronaut Theory: Embracing the ancient astronaut theory, proposed fervently by Zecharia Sitchin, we unearth a perspective that shakes the foundations of traditional interpretations. Sitchin's translations and analyses propose that the Anunnaki were extraterrestrial visitors hailing from the distant planet Nibiru. Their purpose? To exploit Earth's resources, as inscribed in Sumerian records: "Man shall be charged with the service of the gods, that they might be at ease." A Bold Conclusion: With the ancient astronaut theory as our compass, we navigate through the mystical realms of the Anunnaki-IGIGI dynamic. This narrative transcends the realm of myth, demanding an audacious interpretation. The convergence of Sumerian texts and the ancient astronaut theory beckons us to ponder the unimaginable—the notion that gods were astronauts, shaping humanity's course through interstellar intervention. As we peer into the fragments of tablets, our perception of history's tapestry undergoes a paradigm shift, paving the way for a fresh appreciation of humanity's cosmic connections. In the end, whether one fully embraces the ancient astronaut theory or remains skeptical, the echoes of extraterrestrial influence in ancient mythos cannot be wholly ignored. With each clay tablet we decipher and every cosmic riddle we untangle, we inch closer to understanding a past that might be more awe-inspiring and enigmatic than we dared to imagine. × Cub Kuker Supernatural ️ Unlock × Supernatural I Am The Raven https://www.CubKuker.com/ SUPPORT ME: ️ Stars (FB), Gifts (TT), Supers (YT) or Tips (POD) These ‘virtual items' to me they help me earn extra money to keep making content. #faith #spirituality #paranormal #supernatural #mythology #gnosticism #mysticism *Content is for entertainment purposes only and not medical, financial, scientific or legal advice. What is the Impact of Social Media on Relationships? Social media can impact our relationships in both positive and negative ways. On the one hand, social media can be a great way to stay connected with your partner and share moments. How Do Couples Use Social Media in Their Relationship? The ways that couples use social media in their relationships vary greatly. Is There a Difference Between Couples Who Post About One Another and Those Who Don't? Research has shown that couples who post about each other tend to have more positive relationships than those who don't. This is because it shows a level of commitment and dedication to one another. It also helps to build trust by displaying their affection for one another publicly. Conflict Arising From Posts When in a relationship, it helps to be mindful and responsible when it comes to social media posts. Though one partner may be eager to share every moment with the world, the other may prefer keeping things more private. Respect your partner's wishes and understand when to draw the line between public and intimate moments. Social Media & Venting Emotions In the heat of the moment, a partner may turn to social media to express their emotions, be it excitement, anger, or anxiety.

Power Up Your Parenting: A Practical Guide for Parenting Preteen and Teen Girls by Erica Rood My first book, Relationship Ready: How I Stopped Fucking Randos and Started Cupcaking My Soulmate, is available on Amazon and Audible. FREE workbook! Apply the lessons you learn from this episode as you listen! Subscribe to my mailing list, and I'll send it right away! Episode Highlights Erica's Coaching Journey As a coach, Erica specializes in working with pre-teens, teens, young adult women, and parents of pre-teens and teens. Before this, she worked as a teacher for around 15 years. But she didn't want to stay in the classroom forever. During her master's thesis, she realized that she had a passion for helping young girls in her class. Her thesis was about relational aggression. Part of its curriculum was around helping girls learn more about themselves, friendships, and handling conflict. Young Girls' Development In fourth grade, peer groups start to become essential and influential. Middle school years are some of the toughest years. In formal education, it's more about academics and testing rather than helping children with their social and emotional intelligence. Transitioning to Her Coaching Practice Erica completed two training programs and started her career. Before COVID, she was a little fearful of going full-time as a coach. She taught part-time two days a week and slowly built her coaching practice. Part of the fear to fully transition is people pointing out its risks. The district moved her to a different school and put her in a kindergarten class, which wasn't her forte. In December 2019, before COVID hit and schools shut down, Erica resigned from her teaching job. Erica on Writing Her Book Erica started writing her book Power Up Your Parenting: A Practical Guide for Parenting Preteen and Teen Girls five years ago. Writing a book has always been in the back of her mind. She wrote blogs, but she needed to get some structure. She started working with a writing coach. However, she didn't finish the program because she already picked up the pace on her own. She began by thinking about the tools she thinks parents need most in their parenting journey. In the process, she was able to draw and repurpose some blogs. Luckily, she had a friend who runs a publishing company who helped her with the editing and publishing process. A Book for Busy Parents With parents being busy, they don't have the time to read through a heavy 500-page book. As such, the book's format is something light and accessible. You can look for a topic that interests you and read up on it. The publishing company she worked with is about empowering teens and youth. A team of high school students created the illustrations in her book. Navigating the Biggest Parenting and Teen Struggles The biggest struggle for parents is finding the right way to support and communicate with their teens. The best way to build connection and enhance communication is to meet your teen where they are. Be curious and open to what they're going through. The biggest things teens struggle with are confidence and self-esteem. How to Support Your Teenage Kids A lot of times, helping your teen is about paying attention to your language. When giving a pep talk, it's best to be specific and link their qualities and strengths to an action or behavior. Doing so helps your teen build a better sense of self. Along with telling them what qualities they need, parents also need to model these qualities to their teens. Different Faces of Parenting The role stepparents play is slightly different from what a biological parent plays. Regardless, it's vital to dig into your parenting style and tune into where your teen is at. Teens with split and blended families take some time to adjust to a new family member. Stepparents must be patient; don't take things personally. When teens direct their aches towards a stepparent, see it as a sign that they feel safe around you. Shifting your perspective helps them express their feelings better. The Biggest Challenges Young Women Face Today Body image and self-image are significant challenges, especially with the existence of social media. Another huge challenge for young women is handling big life transitions and making decisions on their own. How to Support Young Women To deal with body image, you need to build your inner sense of self. Look for inner qualities and values. These are constant and strengthen over time. Furthermore, they have to understand that the body is constantly changing. Meet your body with acceptance. Adults also need to monitor themselves because sometimes we show teens how to be self-critical. For older teens, parents need to find the balance between support and rescue. Erica's Daily Non-Negotiables Erica has a solid and organized daily routine. She drinks a lot of water. Erica also values mindfulness and balance. She believes that we have to be flexible in life. Nonetheless, the constants for Erica are her morning routine and gratitude practice. Advice to a Parent Struggling in Their Relationship with Their Teenage Daughter Ask for help. There are many ways to get support. Bringing in another perspective can help you find solutions and discover a different approach to your parenting. The teenage years are an optimal stage of development. Teens need the tools and the approach of a parent coach. 5 Powerful Quotes from This Episode “Now, I often say to parents, teens need a new kind of parent; they need a different kind of support than they did when they were younger, when they were in elementary school. And you know, parents kind of need to learn how to make the shift.” “I think one of the best ways to really build the connection and enhance communication is to meet your teen where she is. And as you pointed out, be curious, be open to what she's going through and try to put yourself in her shoes.” “The young women I coach, they need support in decision making and really broadening their perspective. So they can see all angles and think through some of the choices that they have and the outcomes that they really are looking for.” “Sometimes I'll ask the girls that I work with, ‘Do you want to be with your body and for it? Or do you want to be against it?' Because if you're constantly fighting your shape, it's just gonna be a battle for the rest of your life.” “And I just think that in any case, we just don't have to go through life alone. And to be courageous enough to say, ‘Hey, can you support me?' or, ‘Can you give me some advice?', ‘Can you give me some coaching?'” About Erica Erica Rood is the founder of Inspire Balance Coaching. EP95: I was one of those people who did affirmations every day but I never knew that, while they made me feel good, they weren't really effective in changing the way I thought... until I was trained in the neuroscience behind how our brains work and discovered these 5 tricks that would CHANGE EVERYTHING!!! So here's the deal.... I don't want you to waste your time doing "feel good" affirmations that aren't effective. I mean, if you're already spending the time listening or writing them every day, then heck, don't you want to make that time investment as effective as possible. Affirmations that aren't addressing these five mistakes are like the fad diet you go on to lose weight. You might get a temporary "feel good" fix that fools you into thinking the changes are permanent but very soon, everything reverts back to where you were before you started. And I don't want that for you! So here are my tips written down but be sure to listen to this episode for the examples because examples are the real teachers!!! Tip #1: Always make your affirmation in the present tense as if it is already happening in your life. If you have the word "will" in your affirmation, you are making mistake #1. Change "I will" to "I am." Tip #2: Remove all instances of negative words or phrases of what you want to remove or get rid of in your life. The universe can't distinguish negative from positive so if you are trying to free yourself from judgement or lose weight, then create an affirmation that speaks to what you'd like to gain instead. What are the feelings you want that come with no judgement and weight loss? Affirm that and the behavior you are committing to that will make that happen! Tip #3: Don't ask for permission in your affirmations. Affirmations are statements that are positive and empowering. Asking for permission is not an empowered state, even if you are asking God. The truth is God will always say Yes because he wants you to have whatever it is you desire so step into that! Tip #4: Attack your negative thought head on! If you try to gloss over the negative thought with some "nice to hear" affirmation, it won't work. The example I shared by one of my students in this episode is perfect! Her affirmations was a positive statement about her being proud of the daughter she raised yet her negative thought was about THEIR RELATIONSHIP. I call this a "round about" affirmation, and these will never work. The affirmation MUST be the direct opposite of the negative thought, so in this case, I helped her create an affirmation to affirm the relationship she desires to have. And I am confident, as long as she follows the process I teach, it is already done! Tip #5: Your affirmations aren't about rewiring someone else's brain. They are only about rewiring yours so if you have any affirmations about your spouse or child and they are affirming behavior you desire for them, that won't work! You can only control YOUR THOUGHTS! So if it's a relationship that you care about and want to improve, find affirmations that help you focus on the positive aspects of that person. If it's a relationship where you feel unheard or unappreciated, create affirmations that empower you to speak your truth and that reinforce your awareness that others have their own truths which might be different than yours. THAT is what you can control! If this training episode has helped you, we'd love a 5 star rating and a review would be awesome too! Last week we discussed what it is like to date in today's modern culture, and we received such good feedback for that episode we thought to extend the conversation. This week, we're discussing the impact of finances on dating and relationships. Since it's important to understand how to manage your personal finances, we believe it's equally important to think about how your relationship with money impacts the relationship with those you're dating. We have two helpful articles to share with you this week: "Navigating The Financial Side of a Relationship" posted by the NYTimes and "How Couples Handle Money at Every Stage of Their Relationship" posted by USNews.com. Throughout this episode we discussed the history of our personal relationships with money and how that impacts our relationships with others. We discussed and questioned financial gender norms, the reasons behind why it may be difficult to let someone provide for you or vice versa, how to share/split costs, and when the best time is to start these conversations about money with someone you are dating. We also offered a few tips to listeners on how to be more proactive with crafting your financial philosophy in reference to dating and communicating those thoughts with your partner about it. We understand that discussing finances can bring up a range of positive and/or challenging emotions, however, we hope this episode encourages you to get comfortable with discussing this important topic with the hopes that you can better understand yourself and your partner as well.
