UN week is here. Hundreds of presidents and prime ministers are headed to New York this week for the annual opening of the United Nations General Assembly. The presence of so many world leaders all in the same place at the same time makes UNGA the most important week of the diplomatic calendar. I'm joined today by Elizabeth Cousens, President and CEO of the United Nations Foundation who previews some of the key speeches, stories, trends and moments that will define UNGA81. We kick off discussing the leadership transition at the top of the United Nations before turning to some of the key issues she expects to drive the diplomatic agenda — including AI, Iran and and an international order teetering on the edge.

Rick Stroud doesn't sugarcoat it: losing at home to Deshaun Watson and a Cleveland Browns team most didn't think could compete is a genuine crisis. Rick and Steve break down exactly how it happened — settling for four field goals, another Baker Mayfield turnover, missed tackles, blown coverage, and a shaky offensive line that was supposed to be top-five in the league. Watson, written off after Cleveland's Week 1 blowout, outplayed Mayfield by a wide margin (24-of-30, 238 yards, two touchdowns, no picks), and a two-hour-plus lightning delay did the Bucs no favors on their final drive. His core argument: subsidizing groceries with taxpayer dollars removes the innovation impulse that has actually made food cheaper and better over time, and it weaponizes people's own tax money against the private grocers trying to compete—driving them out of business rather than helping anyone. He closes on a fiscal-discipline point aimed squarely at voters: every "cheaper groceries" or "free childcare" promise makes the K-shaped economy worse unless someone says what gets cut to pay for it—and since politics is downstream of culture, politicians will keep giving us "free stuff" as long as we keep voting for it.All three hosts—Tom (Gen X), Drew (millennial), and Ryan (Gen Z)—get into a genuine, generation-spanning debate about whether Gen Z is headed for greatness or for trouble. It starts with New York lowering high-school graduation standards in the name of empathy, which Tom uses to argue that comfort makes people soft ("hard times make strong men")—that decades of prosperity have removed the impetus to push young people toward excellence, and that he worries Gen Z is being raised on participation trophies, blank-slate thinking, and an oppressor/oppressed lens rather than the idea that strength is a virtue. Drew pushes back optimistically: that Gen Z is getting "the end of the stick in every direction" and will become the baddest, toughest generation precisely because of it—already grinding through the high-expectations "A-minus" pressure, being told to go to college, and doing the hard things now. Ryan makes the sharpest counter: that the claim Gen Z doesn't build is unfair because they haven't been given the chance—no assets, no money, doors that were open to prior generations now closed by private equity and monetization; he cites applying to hundreds of jobs and getting a single interview, and a generation working multiple jobs just to make rent. Tom's fear, which he's careful to flag as possibly "algorithmic capture" or a bad read: that Gen Z is mapping onto activism-as-religion—putting its energy into political change and tearing down rather than building, and that "politics is downstream of culture," so the real leverage is building businesses, telling stories, and creating things that shift the culture. He anchors his challenge in Booker T. Washington ("learn to make bricks" rather than wait to be given a system) and argues the one fatal trap is bitterness and resentment, however justified the grievances. Ryan holds his ground—that engaging the political apparatus and protesting is Gen Z refusing to sit behind a screen and taking action themselves. A candid, unresolved clash that ends with the hosts joking that in 30 years, one of them will be proven wrong, one bitter, and one dead.The team digs into the Lindsay Clancy retrial—but the host's focus is less the case itself than what it reveals about jury integrity. After jurors from the earlier proceedings reportedly went public (talking to outlets like CBS) and, in the host's read, admitted to bringing a political agenda into deliberations, he argues this strikes at the foundation of the system: jurors are sworn to be impartial and to decide only on the evidence and the rules of the courtroom, and a juror who enters with a predetermined outcome—whatever the cause—means justice isn't being served. He's careful to note there's a legitimate debate to be had about the one juror who said he had "reasonable doubt" (since the standard is proof beyond a reasonable doubt), but says the truly alarming thing is jurors stating on camera that they were pursuing a political aim. He connects it to a second, chilling example: a Colorado DNA analyst whose work is now under review across a huge number of cases (reporting cited on air suggests over 1,000 cases retested and roughly 1,045 tainted over a decades-long career), raising the nightmare that a single compromised person inside the system can send the wrong people to prison—or let the wrong people out. His throughline is a worry about the broader culture: that if you can't assemble a jury pool that isn't ideologically captured, the promise of a fair trial itself is in jeopardy. On September 20, 1973, singer/songwriter Jim Croce, his musical partner Maury Muehleisen and four others were killed in a plane crash in Natchitoches, Louisiana after finishing a concert at Northwestern State University's Prather Coliseum. On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, are you getting sick and tired of ingrates who have no connection to this country? Democrats might be keeping Piker at arm's length, but he is the face of the party. Democrats have embraced radical Islamism and Marxism just like they embraced slavery and segregation in the past. Islamism and Marxism are incompatible with the Judeo-Christian values of America and the Constitution. Most outrageously, Piker says, pound-for-pound, America causes more terrorism than Al-Qaeda. America is turning into Europe, which is dead and doesn't have the will to survive. Later, Bruce Blakeman calls in with an update on the NY Gubernatorial race. Blakeman says that his campaign is in a statistical dead heat, with polling showing him only 3.9% behind in a blue state. New York is facing economic decline, with population, business, and job losses, and warns that continued leadership by Kathy Hochul and Zohran Mamdani would further harm the state. Voters are increasingly recognizing the need for change and policies focused on job creation, economic growth, tax and regulation cuts, lower utility costs, and restoring law and order. Also, many members of Congress lack expertise in AI and data centers yet seek to regulate them. AI development is a competitive race that the United States must win. Any regulation would hinder innovation while allowing other countries to advance. If these doomer-Luddite politicians have their way, the new medicines and technologies resulting from AI data centers that are going to save lives, improve the quality of life, and increase the standard of living for untold numbers of people, would not happen.  They are literally trying to cripple these industries and these businesses, and they are also actively helping the Communist Chinese leapfrog our companies and our country.  Afterward, if the Democrats had their way, they would remove President Trump, Secretary of War Hegseth and Secretary of Education McMahon via impeachment. Mamdani just sued the Trump administration over green cards and welfare — and he said people could die if the rule stands. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, with Letitia James and a stack of blue-city mayors, is in federal court to block the public charge rule. Starting now, immigration officers can weigh SNAP, Medicaid, and other benefits when deciding who gets a green card. The administration's point is simple and old: People coming here should be able to support themselves. Mamdani's point is the opposite. He says up to four million people could unenroll from health coverage — including 1.8 million children — and that premature deaths in New York immigrant communities could jump. In the summer of 1902, all of Newport was buzzing: a European prince was coming to town, and Mamie Fish — one of the reigning hostesses of American high society — was throwing a dinner in his honor.The young ladies practiced their curtsies. But what walked through the door that night was no prince, but did tell you everything about who Mamie Fish was.She hadn't started anywhere near the top. Raised in the Gramercy Park neighborhood in the 1850s, she watched her family's fortune vanish and they relocated to the working class neighborhood of Astoria. She was barely educated, no beauty, and armed with nothing but a wit that could cut glass. It was enough to win Stuyvesant Fish, heir to one of New York's oldest names and a future railroad president, who adored her for the rest of his life.Mamie essentially invented the theme party at a time when New York society under Mrs. Astor and Ward McAllister was incredibly dull.
