Today our expert guest is Ralph Brogden, who helps smart people like you master your message, showing you how to package and promote your ideas for maximum impact, influence, and income. Ralph is a best-selling author, publisher, and strategic communication consultant specializing in marketing and media. We communicate to get people to buy products, to vote for certain politicians, and to try and change their habits and behaviors. That led him into a field called strategic communication, where he began to study how to influence the beliefs and behaviors of massive populations of people. He wants to encourage people to use that power for good, but we are already seeing it being used in ways that are not very good. Kids are using these tools for cyberbullying, harming one another instead of helping them. It has become a professional and academic interest for Ralph to figure out how we can master our message to change the world and make a difference. One of the key tenets of strategic communication that hold true across cultures is the power of storytelling, or narrative persuasion. We associate meaning through stories. It is something so native to humans that it is almost as if it's in our DNA. An example of this is with negative self talk. We tell ourselves stories about why we aren't happy, why someone else is more successful. We could just as easily create a new story that empowers us instead of weakens us, and encourage others as well. Everyone's story is different, but there is still a process of 3 rules of communication that they all follow: Have something worth say Say it well Say it often There is also a 4-step process to follow when crafting your message: Visual: People make judgements in a microsecond based on the way something looks (a web page, book cover, clothing, etc.) Voice: Not just what you say, but how you say it. The language and voice that you use. This needs to be authentic to you instead of an imitation of someone else. Vibe: How do you make people feel? People make decisions depending on whether it is emotionally relevant to them. Value: No matter how great the other 3 factors, people want to know what it is worth to them. You need to solve a problem or deliver a result. These four factors maximize the effect of communicating to people that you can solve their problem and create a result. And if you can't, then you say that you can't and move on. By bringing that level of authenticity to the conversation, everyone involved is going to feel better about the situation.   The Biggest Helping: Today's Most Important Takeaway “If you master your message, everything else falls into place. Suddenly I arrived and I was in this Very Large City.. Large City… Inside a large palace, that is the only thing I can call it. People were going about their business…I mean, that had things to do, I saw various nationalities of people. There were escalators, fountains, steps, Plants and various Signs, pointing to Storage rooms! Large, beautiful ceilings that I truly couldn’t see the top of, but they weren’t plain, nothing was plain. Dream: 12-7-2014 – Russian or UN check points in the Streets of America- Americans Yell “Get the Guns! Get the Guns!” YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Rh4KdVUjpg This dream was short but very intense. There were first a gunman shown in what I thought was a Mall because of the escalator. Yet as I was moved about in the Spirit it looked to be people in a board room. Though I know some Malls rent Office Space now… Still praying on that. There was a shooter and the people from the Boardroom began to scatter. Everyone was trying to run and there was total chaos Suddenly I was moved to another scene, I was outside and there were young men College age trying to fight back. There were more and more of these attackers coming from everywhere. They were taking guns from people. I saw one young man run out of ammunition and he was yelling to another, “ Get the Guns! Get the Guns!” Suddenly the scene changed. There were just cars driving in the street. It was night. There were Russian or soldiers everywhere. I saw their faces and uniforms clearly. The Unbelieving Spouse is (Sanctified but Not Saved) by the Believing Spouse 1 Corinthians 7:13-14(KJV) 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. 14 For the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. Being Unequally Yoke can be an Issue in Life Being unequally yoked, one flesh with an unbeliever, can be frustrating, discouraging, and even costly. But it need not be defiling because one believer can sanctify a home. * In this sense sanctify does not refer to salvation; otherwise the spouse would not be spoken of as unbelieving. * It refers to “being set apart,” the basic meaning of “sanctify and holy,” terms that are from the same Greek root. * The sanctification is matrimonial and familial, not personal or spiritual. * In God’s eyes a home is set apart for Himself when the husband, wife, or, by implication, any other family member, is a Christian. Such a home is not Christian in the full sense, but it is immeasurably superior to one that is totally unbelieving. * Even if the Christian is ridiculed and persecuted, unbelievers in the family are blessed because of that believer. One Christian in a home graces the entire home. * God’s indwelling that believer and all the blessings and graces that flow into the believer’s life from heaven will spill over to enrich all who are near. The Christian need not fear that the children will be unclean, defiled by the unbelieving father or mother. God promises that the opposite is true. Date – 02/26/2012 Early AM - DREAM FLORIDA GOES DOWN 1st Dream: I had another dream this night of Florida sinking. Now I want to set the scene that it was a view as if I was view the state of Florida from a Satellite view in the atmosphere. First I saw a wave that hit starting from one side of the state and went all the way to the other side. 2nd Dream: Another dream then showed me Florida sinking, it went down and came up and then went down again and came up. 3rd Dream: It was shown to me 3 times in a row I saw Florida rise and sink 3 times and the last time it stayed down. Date–12/11/2011 Early AM - Floods in California This night I had a dream that a large Damn in California had damage so the Dam broke. Floods moved all throughout California. Some people who were closest to the Damn were completely consumed by the water. The people mid-way were struggling in the salt water. It continued to move through one city to another city. As they were trying to seal the Damn I could hear the voice of a news castor saying, “Even if they could repair it, it would be years. I then heard specifically 5 years. I was placed in various places as the flood moved through. I could hear the sound of metal bending and wood snapping as I watched the water move through the cities. Date 08-04-2014 California Destruction, Mudslides, eroding shorelines, people in huts In this dream I simply saw that, what looked to be the entire coast has eroded away. There was a mudslide. I could see another housing or apartment community that was the eroding and it was drawing closer too. I saw what look to be a neighborhood of tents/ well they were actually straw huts that people had made to shield themselves from the Chilly air and they were coming across the land carrying firewood. While this was happening I could hear the words they are cold. Date: 02-03 -15 TSUNAMI WEST COAST and East Coast U.S.A In this dream I was shown a Tsunami on the west coast and on the East Coast. I say this because I am always shown the Landscape. I was first shown a TSUNAMI consuming parts of the east coast going through the trees and inland. Then I was shown another as people were out playing on the Beach, it was sunny day! Suddenly someone noticed a wave coming in the distance, moving quickly. The wave sparkled in the sun. Some people tried to run, others stood because they knew that it was no use in running. I heard someone say, “This is the End” it echoed in my ears.
