Welcome to The Rizzuto Show — the funny podcast that proves trivia is less about knowing answers and more about how loudly you can defend the wrong ones.On this episode, the crew dives headfirst into another round of trivia Matchup, a game designed to test knowledge, memory, logic, and emotional stability… and somehow only one of those things shows up. Moon, Learn, Rafe, and King Scott take turns absolutely torching their own credibility while attempting to answer questions that sound easy until your brain fully abandons you under pressure. We kick things off with Moon vs. Learn, a showdown that immediately spirals thanks to Barbie lore, calories, immortal honey, and the eternal question: what actually is a group of flamingos called? (Spoiler: nobody feels confident, but Moon feels confident anyway.) Marco Polo's nationality becomes a full vibe-based argument, Friends episode counts get wildly inflated, and logic is applied in ways science has specifically asked us not to.Then it's Rafe vs. King Scott, and this is where things truly get unhinged. Zodiac signs become public enemies, water signs are debated like conspiracy theories, and Rumpelstiltskin's straw-to-gold origin story is somehow made harder than it's been for centuries. Insulin, Yellowstone Lake, Johnny Carson, and the circumference of the Earth all take collateral damage as the crew confidently locks in answers that history itself disagrees with. What makes this episode special isn't who wins — it's how everyone loses just a little bit. The trash talk is elite, the confidence is unearned, and the logic is aggressively creative. This is The Rizzuto Show in peak form: loud, sarcastic, self-aware, and completely unbothered by being wrong as long as it's entertaining. If you love daily chaos, dumb confidence, and the sound of your own brain yelling “HOW DO YOU NOT KNOW THIS?” at your speakers, this funny podcast is exactly what you signed up forFollow The Rizzuto Show → https://linktr.ee/rizzshowConnect with The Rizzuto Show Comedy Podcast → https://1057thepoint.com/RizzShowHear The Rizz Show daily on the radio at 105.7 The Point | Hubbard Radio in St. Louis, MOSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Humanity is closer to destroying itself, according to atomic scientists who revealed on Tuesday that the famous “Doomsday Clock” was set at 85 seconds to midnight — the closest it has been in the nearly 80-year history of the clock. The Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists, a science-oriented advocacy group, made the announcement on Tuesday, metaphorically rating how close humankind is to annihilating itself with human-made advancements. Midnight represents the point at which humans will have made Earth unlivable.“It is the determination of the bulletin's science and security board that humanity has not made sufficient progress on the existential risks that endanger us all. We thus move the clock forward,” said Alexandra Bell, president and CEO of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists. “The risks we face from nuclear weapons, climate change and disruptive technologies are all growing. Every second counts and we are running out of time. It is a hard truth, but this is our reality.”See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Skywalking Through Neverland: A Star Wars / Disney Fan Podcast

Are you wondering whether Wonder Man is worth your time? In this episode, we break down Marvel's latest Disney+ series, give you the essential background on the character, and explain what you actually need to know before diving in. From Simon Williams' comic book origins to his surprising connections with Vision, Scarlet Witch, and the Avengers, we cover the fun facts, controversies, and powers that shaped Wonder Man long before his MCU debut. We also dig into how Wonder Man fits into the MCU under the Marvel Spotlight banner—designed to be more grounded, character-driven, and accessible without deep MCU homework. Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as a struggling actor hiding dangerous superpowers, and Ben Kingsley returning as Trevor Slattery, the series leans hard into Hollywood satire, mentorship, and the bizarre "Doorman Clause" that bans super-powered people from acting. Our reactions are… mixed. While the show shines as a personal story about ambition, insecurity, and creative survival—anchored by a standout performance from Ben Kingsley—it struggles with tone, realism, and the weight of its MCU identity. We talk about what works, what doesn't, and whether Wonder Man feels like a forgotten experiment or a meaningful setup for something bigger down the road. Watch the YouTube version here for the best experience. Listen to the podcast episode here: Written WONDER MAN Review Wonder Man is the 19th television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (including both live-action and animated projects) and arrives as part of Phase 6. The series was created by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings) and Andrew Guest (Hawkeye, Community, Brooklyn Nine-Nine). Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, crossing superhero franchises after playing Black Manta in DC's Aquaman films, stars as Simon Williams, a struggling actor auditioning for the lead in a remake of Wonder Man, a low-budget 1980s action film that Simon once bonded over with his father. Simon carries a dangerous secret: he has explosive superpowers that he can't fully control. Worse, he must keep those powers hidden if he wants any chance at an acting career thanks to the Doorman Clause, a rule that bars super-powered individuals from working as actors. One episode dives into the origins of this clause, and it's easily among the series' most entertaining and imaginative chapters. Ben Kingsley returns as Trevor Slattery, the infamous actor hired to portray the Mandarin in Iron Man 3. Since then, the character has appeared in the Marvel short All Hail the King and film Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Here, Trevor is once again chasing relevance—and is also auditioning for a role in the Wonder Man remake. Interestingly, the series never clearly states where it fits into the MCU timeline. There are only light references—photos on walls, casual mentions of "shield throwing." Frankly, that restraint is welcome. It's firmly set in the present day on the main MCU Earth, and that's more than enough. Had this been set on another timeline or Earth, this review probably wouldn't exist. Character Over Capes At its core, this is a strong, personal story about two people supporting each other in a brutal industry. Simon approaches acting with intense seriousness—reminiscent of Dustin Hoffman's character in Tootsie—while Trevor, as a mentor figure, pushes him to loosen up and trust the words on the page. Wonder Man is far more interested in the relationship between Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery than in building a new costumed icon. Through their conversations, the series thoughtfully explores what it actually means to be an actor. Abdul-Mateen II and Kingsley make for an engaging, surprisingly balanced duo. The show wisely avoids leaning into easy odd-couple clichés, which elevates their dynamic. If you enjoyed the behind-the-scenes look at show business in The Studio or Hacks, there's a lot here to like. Wonder Man ups the stakes by adding uncontrollable superpowers into an already stressful industry where almost nothing goes your way. Tone & Reality Gaps Tonally, Wonder Man struggles. It can't always decide whether it wants to be serious and emotional or silly and farcical. It oscillates between the two. The dialogue is often grounded and well-written, but the situations frequently feel forced—bent to serve the script rather than emerging naturally from reality. Living in Los Angeles, where the series is set, makes some of these moments especially hard to ignore. Being under a tight deadline to submit an audition tape and deciding to drive from Hollywood to Malibu and back—congratulations, you've just wasted three hours. These issues extend to the on-set scenes. Having worked in the film industry, many of these moments rang false. A day player wouldn't halt production because they have extensive notes. There are numerous story hiccups where disbelief must be suspended simply to keep the plot moving. A test audience likely would have flagged many of these. Performances & Standout Moments Any time Ben Kingsley is on screen, he's impossible not to root for. Simon, by contrast, is difficult to like until the final two episodes. That's clearly intentional—he's closed off and emotionally blocked—but watching someone repeatedly sabotage themselves is frustrating, even if it's thematically justified. One unquestionable highlight is the episode centered on the Doorman Clause, "Doorman". Josh Gad's appearance, along with his reworked version of "In Summer," is delightful and injects much-needed energy and creativity into the series. Release Strategy & Final Verdict Marvel continues to undermine its TV output with its release strategy. Ironheart dropped its six episodes across two days. Echo released all five at once. Wonder Man follows suit with all eight episodes dropping in a single day. The result? These shows are consumed quickly and forgotten just as fast. By the time Daredevil Season 2 arrives in March, this will likely be one of those "Oh yeah… what happened on Wonder Man again?" series.I went in with an open mind and high expectations—this is Marvel, after all. In the end, I liked Wonder Man, but too much got in the way of loving it. SPONSORS Small World Vacations is an official sponsor of Skywalking Through Neverland. This study challenges long-held assumptions and uses seismic wave data to illustrate how these large low velocity provinces differ in density and material, impacting the planet's heat extraction from the core and potentially affecting the stability of Earth's magnetic field.Confirmation of Mars as a Blue PlanetNew evidence from ancient Martian river deltas suggests that Mars was once covered by a vast ocean. High-resolution images reveal delta-like structures, indicating that water once flowed into an ocean approximately 3 billion years ago. This discovery supports the notion of a once habitable environment on Mars, offering insights into its geological history and the potential for life.Galaxies Growing Through Cool Gas FilamentsA fascinating new study has demonstrated how galaxies can rapidly grow by drawing in filaments of cool gas. Observations from the Keck Telescope's Cosmic Webb Imager provide direct evidence of these gas streams spiraling into galaxies, fueling star formation at unprecedented rates. This research offers significant insights into the processes of galaxy formation and the role of the cosmic web in shaping the universe.www.spacetimewithstuartgary.com✍️ Episode ReferencesScientific ReportsMPJ Space ExplorationNature AstronomyBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/spacetime-your-guide-to-space-astronomy--2458531/support.(00:00:00) Distinct histories of Earth's mantle provinces(00:12:15) Mars confirmed as a blue planet with ancient ocean(00:25:30) Galaxies grow rapidly through cool gas filaments(00:35:00) Discovery of the oldest known rock art in the world.

February 2026 marks an unprecedented astrological and numerological shift. As we move from the grounded stability of Earth and Water into the primal lifeforce of Fire and Air, the ground beneath us is shifting. With Chinese New Year ushering in the Year of the Fire Horse and the monumental Saturn-Neptune conjunction at the zero point of Aries, we are being refined, fine-tuned, and asked to move with absolute precision. In this episode, we break down the three essential themes you need to embody to navigate this volatile yet expansive energy: Say Less: Why "Yes" and "No" are complete sentences in this new era of coherence. Your Question is More Important Than the Answer: Moving from "Why me?" to "What is this making space for?" Self-Pity Won’t Hold: Why the victimhood timeline is closing and how to reclaim your power through personal accountability. The heat is on, and the momentum only builds from here through July. It’s time to stop over-processing, stop over-explaining, and start initiating. In this episode, we cover: The transition from the Snake to the Fire Horse (Feb 17th). The impact of Saturn and Neptune at the zero point of the zodiac (Feb 20). The start of a new Eclipse season in a new axis (Feb 17). How to handle Mercury Retrograde in Pisces (Feb 25). Moving from the "old operating system" to a new humanity. Want to dive deeper into February’s Astrology & Numerology and what this energy means for you? For many people reading this, the crises we discuss on this podcast – from ecological instability to financial collapse – often feel like a distant problem in the future. But for the youth of today, managing the impact of these situations will define most of their lives, and many have already dedicated their careers to mitigating the worst outcomes. What do the leading young voices envision for the future, and what are they doing today to make that a reality?  In this episode, Nate is joined by indigenous environmental justice activist and Planetary Guardian, Xiye Bastida, to discuss how her indigenous heritage and leadership in the youth climate movement have helped guide her to continue her work toward a more ecologically attuned world. Together, they discuss the importance of intergenerational collaboration rooted in love, rather than simply rage or blind hope. Importantly, Xiye emphasizes what could become possible if we change our definition of what success looks like, live closer to the Earth, and start to view our planet as a sacred teacher, rather than a well of resources from which to extract.  What are the hopes and fears of younger generations during these increasingly tumultuous times? How might indigenous wisdom inform our aspirations and strategy as we attempt to navigate the increasingly challenging world ahead? And how could a closer connection to the land help us cultivate a more sustained inner fire in order to continue moving in the direction of better futures – even if we don't yet know the exact destination? (Conversation recorded on December 3rd, 2025)    About Xiye Bastida: Xiye Bastida is a 23-year-old activist and member of the Planetary Guardians, an independent collective elevating the science to make the Planetary Boundaries a measurement framework for the world and spark a global movement by inviting everyone to become guardians of our shared home. Xiye is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Re-Earth Initiative, a global youth-led organization that has raised and allocated millions of dollars to help fund effective, small-scale projects across frontline communities in the Global South. Additionally, she has become a leading voice in the climate movement, organizing climate strikes, speaking on global stages like the United Nations, and redefining storytelling through her upcoming film, The Way of the Whale. Additionally, Xiye has been recognized as a TIME 100 Next honoree, recipient of the UN Spirit Award, a Forbes Changemaker, and is currently a 776 Fellow, continuing to scale youth-led climate leadership globally. Most recently, she was named on Forbes' 30 under 30 Social Impact List.   Show Notes and More   Watch this video episode on YouTube   Want to learn the broad overview of The Great Simplification in 30 minutes? Guest: Dr. Bob Hazen Mike is joined by his Carnegie Science colleague Dr. Bob Hazen. Together, they have written a new popular science book titled "Time's Second Arrow: Evolution, Order, and a New Law of Nature," which launches on February 10, 2026. This book describes how the marvelously complex constituents of our universe came to be. Evolution, they boldly propose, is a universal phenomenon—not only in biology, but in the entire atomic, chemical, mineral, and physical universe. Showing how a natural process of selection for increasing function has shaped the universe since its inception, they explore how a new law of nature could possibly help us identify life on other planets and—perhaps—even understand the purpose and meaning of life on Earth in a new way. Cooper and Nolan are coming back down to Earth this week when they discuss SUPERMAN RETURNS by special request! It was only 12 episodes ago that the guys covered a Superman movie, and let's just say a LOT has changed since then. A nearly two-decade gap means there's a new Man of Steel in town, along with more modern effects and a brand new story. You know, unless you count the parts where they re-hash Superman's origin AGAIN... Was this able to re-establish the Superman movie franchise, or did the lengthy runtime and questionable performances stop this return from being triumphant? Look up in the sky to find out; this episode (featuring a beer from Flying Monkeys Craft Brewery) is ready to save the day!

We covered this historic and famous brothel back on Ep. 120 in 2016. This is one of the few haunted locations we have found in Montana and it is located in Butte. The town has its roots in mining and was known as the "Richest Hill on Earth." Gold, silver and copper were all mined here. As was the case with so many mining towns, a successful red light district grew within the town. One of the most successful and high-class brothels in town was the Dumas Brothel. Rich clientele could have their fantasies met here, but there was also pleasure for the working class in the basement, which ran like a sex mill. The brothel passed through many hands and has the reputation of being the longest running brothel in the country. And it seems that clients and the girls are still hanging out here in the afterlife. Several entities are thought to haunt this building. Is the world outside freezing over while your internal world feels like it's on fire? Have you been forced into a sudden stop, wondering if it's a roadblock or a divine intervention? What if the "deafening silence" of this winter storm is actually the Universe screaming a message you finally have time to hear? Michael broadcasts from a frozen Northeastern Florida to deliver a profound message about the massive winter storm gripping the nation. This isn't just about the weather; this is a COSMIC REBOOT designed to break the cycle of the "poly-crisis". Michael reveals why he canceled a critical medical trip after receiving undeniable signs from the Universe (involving a bulldozer and a runaway wheel!). Discover why the Earth is "on fire" energetically yet frozen physically, how to utilize the "Silent Speaks" phenomenon to hear your soul's guidance, and why this forced pause is the greatest gift for your 2026 evolution. Key Topics: The Cosmic Reboot: Why the massive storm affecting 200 million people is a divinely orchestrated "pause button" to reset humanity's nervous system. "Silent Speaks": How the sound-absorbing quality of snow makes the external world quiet so your internal guidance becomes deafeningly loud. The Bulldozer Sign: Michael's harrowing story of a highway accident that served as a cosmic warning to stop pushing and stay safe. Fire & Ice: Understanding the paradox of why the Earth is energetically "on fire" (burning away the old) while we are physically experiencing a deep freeze. The "Poly-Crisis" Cure: How to stop the feeling of time speeding up by embracing the "space between the notes". The Echo Effect: Why intentions set during the "ice phase" of a storm bounce back louder and carry further into the Universe. A "Snow Day" Meditation: A guided visualization to help you reclaim the joy, play, and stillness of a childhood snow day, right now. This episode is a warm blanket for your soul. If you are feeling guilty for doing "no thing," this message will remind you that in the pause lies your greatest power as a Creator. Join the Inspire Nation Soul Family!

He also explains why changing your mind is a strength, not a flaw; why extraordinary claims really do require extraordinary evidence; and why "just asking questions" isn't as innocent as it sounds. BUY THE BOOK Amazon Shop Skeptic (autographed) "Michael Shermer reminds us that the search for truth is not a luxury, but a necessity. This book is a powerful argument for why reality matters and a practical toolkit for how to find it." ―Sabine Hossenfelder "Michael Shermer has a fine record as a long-time crusader for evidenced rationality. This fascinating and wide-ranging book should further enhance his impact on current controversies." ―Lord Martin Rees "Michael Shermer is one of our most influential intellectuals. Truth lances the myth of truth's subjectivity, arguing (provocatively) that truth can generate moral absolutes. This stimulating, excellent book inspires you to spread the word that the Earth is not flat and that truth matters." ―Robert Sapolsky "Michael Shermer has spent his career grappling with the slipperiest word in our language: truth. As someone who knows firsthand what happens when truth gets lost in noise and narrative, I'm grateful for Shermer's clear-eyed insistence that truth is not only real, but necessary." ―Amanda Knox "Michael Shermer pulls no punches: in a world where opinion too often masquerades as fact, he dismantles delusion and arms us with the tools to meet reality head-on." ―Brian Greene

He introduces us to Theia, the proto-planet that came crashing into the surface of our infant planet four and a half billion years ago, tilting the Earth on Her axis and birthing the Moon. This meeting ultimately shaped the passing of time, the movement of tides, and the cycle of the seasons as we have known them. With the seasons now changing in response to our neglect of the Earth, Theia offers a reminder that these rhythms have always evolved through relationship.  Read the essay.  Discover our latest print edition, Volume 6: Seasons. Long before Antarctica was ever discovered, people already believed it existed. Ancient philosophers and mapmakers imagined a massive southern continent—Terra Australis—balancing the world, a phantom land drawn onto maps centuries before anyone laid eyes on it. But when explorers finally reached the far south in the 1800s, they found something far stranger than myth: a frozen world that seemed to distort not just navigation, but perception itself. In this episode, the boys journey through the eerie history of Antarctica—from ancient legends and early expeditions to unsettling ghost stories and modern conspiracies. They explore accounts from polar explorers who claimed to hear voices in abandoned huts, feel unseen presences in the darkness, and even encounter mysterious “third companions” during near-death journeys across the ice.The story then descends into the continent's real-world anomalies: blood-red waterfalls pouring from glaciers, massive lakes hidden under miles of ice, and warm volcanic caves that may harbor unknown ecosystems beneath the coldest place on Earth. But Antarctica's strangest chapter may have come after World War II. The episode examines Nazi expeditions to the continent, unexplained submarine disappearances, and the U.S. Navy's massive Operation Highjump—led by Admiral Richard Byrd—followed by his unsettling warnings about aircraft coming from the polar regions. Finally, the episode confronts the biggest question of all: why did every major world power agree to lock away an entire continent under the Antarctic Treaty? With no military allowed, no permanent population, and strict global control, Antarctica remains the only place on Earth that truly feels off-limits.Not because of what is known. But because of what might still be buried under the ice.www.patreon.com/theconspiracypodcast

Samantha shares how single motherhood, entrepreneurship, and chronic stress pulled her away from her own needs, and what finally helped her reconnect. This conversation is for business owners, leaders, and parents who look successful on paper but feel disconnected inside. You will hear practical ways to rebuild energy and clarity through small nourishment rituals, and a mindset shift that flips hustle culture on its head: design your life first, then build your business around it. About the Guest: Samantha Jones is an entrepreneur, culinary herbalist, wellness strategist, author, and speaker. Data is the resource, and our lives are the territory. Ulises Mejias, co-author of Data Grab: The New Colonialism of Big Tech and How to Fight Back, reflects on data colonialism as a new social order that extends the extractive logic of historical colonialism into our everyday lives. Highlights include: How terms of digital service agreements, written in dense legalese, resemble past colonial proclamations to indigenous people intended to dispossess; How data colonialism, a system of continuous data extraction from our everyday lives, mirrors traditional colonialism in that both generate wealth for the few and enable new forms of social and behavioral control; Why colonialism was essential for the development of capitalism and remains central in understanding today's data-driven capitalism; How data colonialism uses the 4 X's of traditional colonialism - explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate - to move into new 'data territories' like education, health, agriculture, policing, and war; How both traditional and data colonialism use 'civilizing narratives' to justify their extraction and colonize peoples' minds; How AI amplifies the worst of bureaucratic proceduralism and the costs fall on the least powerful in society; What resistance to data colonialism can learn from resistance to traditional colonialism: working within the system, against the system, and beyond the system. The podcast explores needed narrative, behavioral, and system shifts for recreating human life in balance with all life on Earth. With expert guests from wide-ranging disciplines, we examine the forces underlying overshoot: from patriarchal pronatalism that is fueling overpopulation, to growth-biased economic systems that lead to consumerism and social injustice, to the dominant worldview of human supremacy that subjugates animals and nature. Our vision of shrinking toward abundance inspires us to seek pathways of transformation that go beyond technological fixes toward a new humanity that honors our interconnectedness with all beings.  Hosted by Nandita Bajaj and Alan Ware.

It's (somehow!) six years ago that we started to learn about this new virus and then find ourselves caught up in a global pandemic. While there were some truly tragic parts to that crisis, it turns out there were also some good results, too. Quite by chance recently, two guests in the space of a couple of days told me stories about huge changes in their lives brought about by their travels around Covid times, and these stories were so interesting I quickly decided to create a whole episode on the topic. First up, I chat with Shannon O'Brien, an international school teacher who was actually working at a school in Shenzhen, China, at the start of 2020. During a school break for the Chinese New Year, Shannon flew to Sumatra, Indonesia, for a short holiday. Spoiler alert: it became a very long holiday! I then speak with Eva Westerling, a German doctor who in 2019 had decided that it was time for a big change and was contemplating a permanent shift to Morocco. When the pandemic hit, she and her partner were in the earliest stages of setting up a tourism business in Morocco, and then of course, no tourists came. My final guest is Eryn Gordon, who was working a corporate job in the United States when the pandemic began, and she soon found herself out of work. Instead of laying low like many of us did during Covid times, Eryn instead decided to get a new qualification and move to the other side of the world, to work in Seoul, South Korea. Moving Away From ComplexityLeaders Make It Better "Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit." – John 15:2 (ESV) What is the purpose of pruning… that less… produces more As organizations, ministries, leaders grow, so does complexity. However, complexity is not a necessity. Great leaders make things better—not by adding more, but by doing less, better. As I write this, SpaceX launched its first rocket of the year early this morning. Last year set a record for the number of launches, and this year is already on track to surpass it. SpaceX has pioneered lower-cost rockets that not only launch but return safely to Earth—a concept that was considered impossible just a few years ago. But a team of the best engineers on the planet, paired with a visionary leader willing to attempt the unthinkable, proved the doubters wrong. I recently saw Elon Musk post a picture showing the evolution of their Raptor rocket engines. These engines are ultimately designed to carry humanity to Mars. But to me, the true marvel lies in how each version has been refined. Raptor 1 looked like a tangled mess of wires, tubes, and complexity. It worked, but it was difficult to build, maintain, and reproduce. Raptor 2 was a major step forward—cleaner, more streamlined, and a genuine engineering breakthrough. Yet, the team didn't stop there. Raptor 3, the latest version, is elegant in its simplicity. It's powerful, efficient, and ruthlessly refined— the result of hundreds of intentional decisions to remove what didn't belong and simplify what remained. Elon Musk's team didn't arrive here by accident. They followed a radical but effective design philosophy. "Every requirement is dumb until proven otherwise. Delete it. Simplify. Optimize. Accelerate. Only then do you automate." This isn't just how you build rockets; it's a masterclass in leading toward simplicity. When I arrived at Grace eight years ago, we found over 50 separate ministries operating under the banner of the church. Most were siloed, competing with one another for resources and attention. We made the intentional decision to move from 50 things to four. It was a deliberate shift away from complexity. It's a timeless problem. As organizations grow, complexity inevitably creeps in. Often, it's not bad things, it's good things that no longer serve the mission. Sacred cows. Outdated processes. Organizational comfort zones. If we don't intentionally prune them, we'll never move with the power and speed the Spirit desires. Remember the words of Jesus: "Every branch that does bear fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit." – John 15:2 What Space X Can Teach Leaders 1. Question Everything "Every requirement is dumb until proven otherwise." As leaders, it's our responsibility to question every process, system, and program we engage with. We should consistently ask, "Does this serve the mission?"—until we can either validate it or eliminate it. Why do we hold this meeting? How many of these programs are truly necessary? Can one person do this instead of two? Can this leader handle more responsibility? Why does it take three classes and three months to move someone toward membership? How hard is it to onboard new leaders? Why are we using more than one communication platform? Just because something worked in a past move of God doesn't mean it belongs in the next. 2. Delete, Delete, Delete You can't simplify clutter. Before you simplify, you must eliminate. Craig Groeschel challenges his leaders to keep a "stop doing list" alongside their "to-do list." It's logical—you can't add something new until you remove something old. This year, we made the decision to eliminate our Midweek Fire service to make room for the mission. We asked: Why do we need two weekly services focused on awakening—especially when Sunday is already our strongest and most effective service for that purpose? By removing the Wednesday service, we created space and opportunity for more Grace Groups to meet on campus. That shift better aligns with our vision to train and send. What weekly or monthly meeting can be eliminated or consolidated? What process or system could lose a step or two? What volunteer or leader could be repositioned or reallocated? I promise, you can do more than you think, with less than you think you need. Eliminate what no longer helps people discover life in all its fullness. 3. Clarify What Remains Once something is stripped down to its essential parts, you must then clarify it. Every program, system, activity needs a clear and identifiable win. Every leader needs a clear and simple expectation. Clarity is essential for both mission and movement. What is the win for our Sunday service? What's the expectation for Next Steps? What's the goal of your weekly connection points? What's the purpose of your one-on-one meetings? "Write the vision; make it plain… so that he may run who reads it." (Habakkuk 2:2) Clarity empowers people to run with vision. 4. Accelerate Timeframes What is your big, bold goal for this year? What if you accelerated your timeframe? Instead of going for it slowly over the year, what if you hit it hard for 90 days? Chances are you will not make it… but what if you do? Or how much further will you be along the journey because you accelerated? When you move swiftly and quickly, it might be messy, but it could also be more missional! Remember, the Acts church moved fast because they trusted the Spirit and empowered people. So can we. 5. Automate Last I love automation. This is where systems and programs operate without your constant intervention. However The temptation is to automate first. However if you automate while there is still clutter you will only create confusion. This is why automation is the last step. Today there is a wealth of tools and resources that can steam-line processes, automate tasks and communications. Before you lock them in… make sure that the process has been perfected. Leaders Make It Better This is one of Grace World's 5 Core Leadership Behaviors: Leaders Make It Better. It means we leave things better than we found them. We don't settle for "this is how we've always done it." We treat "it is what it is" like a curse word. We question everything. We eliminate what's unnecessary. We clarify constantly. We move at the speed of the Spirit. And we multiply what matters. As leaders, we take initiative to clear obstacles. We don't wait for someone else to do it. Questions 1. What is one area in your ministry you can simplify this week to make it better? 2. What is a system, step, or sacred cow that needs to be challenged? 3. Where have you settled for the status quo instead of stewarding revival? "Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life… so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody." – 1 Thessalonians 4:11–12 Follow Up Questions What is on thing you will STOP doing in the next 30 days? What is one thing you need to SIMIPLIFY in your life immediately? What is one BIG BOLD goal you can SPEED up?

Trees can live for many years and provide oxygen, shade, food, and homes for animals. Understanding how trees grow helps explain why forests are so important to life on Earth.
