Le moment reprise voit Bowling For Soup détourner "Hit Me Baby One More Time" façon indie punk. On this week's show, we revisit albums that would've topped past year-end lists if they hadn't been blocked by Bruce Springsteen albums. We also revisit the pesky Bruce Springsteen records that blocked them. All this & much, much less! Debts No Honest Man Can Pay started in 2003 at WHFR-FM (Dearborn, MI), moved to WGWG-FM (Boiling Springs, NC) in 2006 & Plaza Midwood Community Radio (Charlotte, NC) in 2012, with a brief pit-stop at WLFM-FM (Appleton, WI) in 2004.

☕️Buy me a coffee: https://www.everyonelovesguitar.com/support On this Jeff Schroeder interview, Jeff discusses his new album 'Metanoia' and his decision to leave the Smashing Pumpkins. The album is a departure from his previous work and represents a new era in his musical journey. Jeff reflects on the challenges of leaving a successful band and the process of redefining his identity as a musician, and as a person. He emphasizes the importance of letting go of ego attachments and embracing new opportunities, the importance of being present and enjoying life, the role of passion in your career, the significance of finding your own sound amidst the vast array of gear options available. Jeff shares his interest in mysticism and spirituality, how it has influenced his music and life, the attraction of different cultural philosophies and theologies, the appeal of ambient music, and the process of creating Jeff's new record. Jeff shares his experience of working with friends and the joy of creating something from start to finish, his extensive guitar collection and his approach to production. LOADS of cool stuff here! Jeff's most well-known as the guitarist for the Smashing Pumpkins. He initially took James Iha's place and was with the band from 2007 to his amicable departure in October 2023. He recorded five studio albums with the band and after bandleader Billy Corgan, and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin, Jeff was the third-longest-serving member of the group. Jeff's got a new album out, called Metanoia… and today we're going to talk about the new record, and find out why he left the Smashing Pumpkins. As a side note, Jeff's one of THE most intelligent guests I've had on the show - very bright guy who's incredibly well-read Photo by Vice Cooler

Siamese Dream Review by Greg Prato While Gish had placed the Smashing Pumpkins on the "most promising artist" list for many, troubles were threatening to break the band apart. Singer/guitarist/leader Billy Corgan was battling a severe case of writer's block and was in a deep state of depression brought on by a relationship in turmoil; drummer Jimmy Chamberlin was addicted to hard drugs; and bassist D'Arcy and guitarist James Iha severed their romantic relationship. The sessions for their sophomore effort, Siamese Dream, were wrought with friction -- Corgan eventually played almost all the instruments himself (except for percussion). Some say strife and tension produces the best music, and it certainly helped make Siamese Dream one of the finest alt-rock albums of all time. Instead of following Nirvana's punk rock route, Siamese Dream went in the opposite direction -- guitar solos galore, layered walls of sound courtesy of the album's producers (Butch Vig and Corgan), extended compositions that bordered on prog rock, plus often reflective and heartfelt lyrics. The four tracks that were selected as singles became alternative radio standards -- the anthems "Cherub Rock," "Today," and "Rocket," plus the symphonic ballad "Disarm" -- but as a whole, Siamese Dream proved to be an incredibly consistent album. Such compositions as the red-hot rockers "Quiet" and "Geek U.S.A." were standouts, as were the epics "Hummer," "Soma," and "Silverfuck," plus the soothing sounds of "Mayonaise," "Spaceboy," and "Luna." After the difficult recording sessions, Corgan stated publicly that if Siamese Dream didn't achieve breakthrough success, he would end the band. He didn't have to worry for long -- the album debuted in the Billboard Top Ten and sold more than four million copies in three years. Siamese Dream stands alongside Nevermind and Superunknown as one of the decade's finest (and most influential) rock albums. --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/comics-in-motion-podcast/message

In 2018, it was announced that James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin would rejoin The Smashing Pumpkins. A tour and new music (produced by Rick Rubin), were announced to celebrate the reunion. Those Rick Rubin sessions were originally conceived as 2 EPs, but over time it became an album (or not according to Billy?). The result was Shiny and Oh So Bright - Vol. 1 / LP: No Past. No Future. No Sun. Joining Frank to discuss SAOSBV1LPNPNFNS is fellow Pumpkinhead Evangelina Sanchez! Evangelina and Frank discuss the feeling of being all "alone - together" as Pumpkins fans, how Shiny fits into the ATUM storyline, being a creative trying to rise above your mammoth past, a wishlist of Shiny songs to hear live, modern production pros and cons and Solara speaking to why we gravitate towards the Pumpkins. While some fans heralded the return, others were dismissive. It's an album that has a complicated history with fans, critics...and possibly the band? But much like Monuments To An Elegy, there's a lot here to still dig into and enjoy. Will the "Woahwoahwoahwoahwoahwhoah" crowd rise?! Become the owl at midnight! How to support the 'kast: NEW ! Healy's body of studio work has been recognized by Billboard, College Music Journal and has received radio play nationwide. His work as a composer includes 4 works of musical theatre: Forgottonia, The Gringo, Madam, and Big Machine and one cast album entitled Seeing Other People. Madam was nominated for five St. Louis Theatre Circle Awards in 2021 and The Gringo was one of the headlining acts at the 2018 St. Louis Fringe. It still holds the record for being the best selling show in festival history. He has worked as a production manager for Fly North Theatricals since the staged reading of Colin Healy's musical "The Gringo" in January 2017. In addition, he has focused on supporting the development of new works by prioritizing attending readings and play festivals with feedback sessions for the writers, and has participated in and organized readings as well. He is a part of the production team for FNT's digital content on YouTube, and he is a co-host of the Grown-Up Theatre Kids podcast. This month we're we're a mere decade away from our current time as we ignore the Mayan doomsday prophecies and choose our favourite songs of 2012. We'll also be talking about making country legends cry, Turkish goth music, & Tracey's secret love of krautrock. We've each chosen our 10 favourite songs of the year and sent them over to Ian's wife Lydia, who put the playlists together and distributed them so we were each given a playlist of the 20 songs from the other two hosts, along with our own 10. We then ranked the playlists in order of preference and sent them to Colin's wife Helen, who totalled up the points and worked out the order. Helen also joined us on the episode to read out the countdown, which we found out as we recorded so all reactions are genuine. Now, admittedly, in parts we're a little bit brutal to some of the songs in the list as we're three separate people with differing music tastes, but please remember that to be in this episode at all the songs have to have been in one of our top 10's of that year.
An great interview with Gary Waldman, an artist manager-tour producer-musical instrument enthusiast, who spent decades with Neal Casal throughout his career. We discuss Neal Casal's music, his foundation, and his legacy. We discuss mental health in the music business and the songs of the great Neal Casal. To learn more about the Neal Casal Music Foundation visit:https://nealcasalmusicfoundation.org/To Purchase Highway Butterfly, The Songs of Neal Casal:https://nealcasalmusicfoundation.org/store/highway-butterflyAbout Neal Casal:Neal Casal was born in Denville, New Jersey in 1968. He was a songwriter, singer, guitarist, record producer, photographer, surfer and friend. When his parents divorced in the mid-70's, Neal moved with his mom from NJ to Georgia to California, before coming back to NJ and growing up in Rockaway, NJ. After graduating high school in 1987 and the end of his high school rock band, Exire, Neal started working at a guitar store called The Music Maker in Hackettstown, NJ. It was there he met a musician named Davis Jaynes, who would become Neal's mentor and a huge influence on his guitar style. They would play guitar together at the store all day and spent a year or so playing shows together around New Jersey, where Neal would develop the sound that would become the foundation of his solo career. Neal would go on to appear on multiple recordings as a member of bands like Circles Around the Sun, Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Beachwood Sparks, The Skiffle Players and Hard Working Americans. He added his sublime musical touch to studio sessions and live performances by a long list of artists, including Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Sheryl Crow, Lucinda Williams, The Jayhawks, James Iha and Vetiver. His vast body of solo work was embraced by audiences worldwide and continues to be rediscovered in his passing. With the formation of the Neal Casal Music Foundation, the body of work Casal left behind, including an extensive archive of unreleased material, will be reimagined to further shine a light on his artistry, while providing resources to raise money for positive change. Neal Casal brought joy to so many and, in his absence, the foundation created in his name will further that purpose. It also hopes to reflect back to Casal the beauty he brought to this world in pursuit of a life dedicated to music and art.Neal Graeme CasalNovember 2, 1968 – August 26, 2019
Jason and Jon continue through the letter W and discuss five rather mellow tunes, including the closing track on Oceania, a Gish fave, a song from James Iha's first solo album, a rarity with several incarnations, and an MCIS demo that may have had a second life on Adore.
Jason and Jon continue through the W's and discuss a somewhat odd batch of songs in this episode, including a Starchildren jam that has unexpected connections to proper SP songs, a Djali Zwan tune from the "Spun" soundtrack, a James Iha-penned SP track from 1991, and much more!

On this installment we discuss The Smashing Pumpkins' fourth, left-turn of an album, Adore. Discover what "black vanilla" sounds like and how many guitar pedals Billy Corgan can run an instrument through (is it 6 or 7?) We also check in on D'arcy's distain for computers, James Iha drifting further from the band and the end of a certain era in rock. Trust me it's loads of fun. We even hear from Howard Stern, Regis AND Kathie Lee. If your friends could see you now...living it with SRR
Today on the Pumpkast, we take a trip down south with James Iha's 1998 country-tinged solo album, "Let It Come Down"! While it was not a hit with critics or audiences, there is plenty to appreciate about this cozy gem. Frank and Pat discuss how James deliberately avoided a "watered down Pumpkins" album (and how they're not too proud to admit they probably would have been fine with that), and the album's impressive list of collaborators, including Nina Gordon, Adam Schlesinger and D'Arcy. We also delve into the contrast between James' trademark dry sarcasm and his penchant for earnest, sappy love songs, how there were stronger choices than "Be Strong Now" for the single, and Frank’s secret history as "The Walrus," a lesser-known member of KISS. It's a fun detour down Iha Lane to those heady, pre-Adore days in Pumpkinland. Hallelujah, we're in love with -- well, we're at least glad we gave a good listen to -- this album! It's the 25th Anniversary of the release of the "1979" single, so what better way to celebrate than by talking to one of the ACTUAL cool kids in the iconic video, LAUREN ENGLISH?! Lauren reminisces with us about how she was discovered and cast in the video, how fun it was to roll in a giant tire, and her experiences simulating a teenage party that was not such a simulation after all. She also discusses her connection to James Iha and Marilyn Manson, what she's up to nowadays and the real-life mishap involving tapes on the roof of a car that was later referenced in the "Perfect" video. It was a really great conversation and we think you Pumpkinheads will love it. Thanks to our pal Alex Scordelis for helping us produce this episode! Follow us on the socials! Back in 2012 we had the chance to speak with at that point former The Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha around the release of his second solo album Look To The Sky. We spoke about the music he grew up with and how the Smashing Pumpkins got started and the succes they had, but also where he was at that point with progressive supergroup A Perfect Circle and running his own label and studio. We also spoke about the rift between him and The Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, who at that time had reformed The Smashing Pumpkins after their break up in 2000, and there was some contention about why Iha wasn't part of it. Luckily it all turned out well as Billy and James reunited in 2018 and continue to make music together to this day. Interview by: Martin KuiperSupport the show (https://www.patreon.com/FaceCulture)
Frank and Pat finally reach the beginning of the end of the Mellon Collie era with the 1996 b-sides box set The Aeroplane Flies High! In Part 1 of our 3-part coverage of everyone's favorite hypnotic CD suitcase, we'll be tackling the "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" and "1979" singles (both of which contain some of our all-time favorite SP b-sides). We draw parallels between The Cars' and The Pumpkins' underrated influence on today's music, give more love for The Cure and ponder how "Ugly" is a secret metal song. All that plus hot takes on which James Iha tracks should have made the Mellon Collie cut and more Wayne's World references than necessary! Schwing! Darren talks with Longwave's Steve Schiltz about his band Longwave, Van Halen, and of course, David Lee Roth! Steve talks about how Eddie's guitar playing was his entry to Van Halen, Dave, and Steve Vai and Jason Becker's catalogs, and how it informed and inspired how own work. Plus, the time Steve and James Iha (Smashing Pumpkins) were incredulous when a younger travel companion hadn't heard of, and subsequently did not get, the greatness of "Hot For Teacher." And Darren tells Steve about the Japanese import of the Spanish-language version of Eat 'Em And Smile, Sonrisa Salvaje (yes, you read that right). *** Steve Schiltz co-founded Longwave in 1999, and by 2002 the band was signed with RCA Records. Longwave's sophomore album, The Strangest Things, helmed by Flaming Lips producer Dave Fridmann, brought the band's music to the masses, and international tours with The Strokes, Bloc Party, OK Go and many more followed. Longwave went on an unofficial hiatus in 2009, after releasing Secrets Are Sinister. After years of collaboration, Schiltz wrote, recorded, mixed and produced Tonight Is The Ghost by himself — the first set of songs from the project that would become Hurricane Bells. The album quickly garnered kind words from critics and a following of fans. Steve's music has been featured on the soundtrack to The Twilight Saga: New Moon, alongside Death Cab For Cutie, The Killers and more. Hurricane Bells released an EP in 2010 and a second album, Tides And Tales, the following year. Another EP, There's Nothing Precious in the Past, was also completed. The band toured the States and played to crowds in Japan and India. Steve has toured with the likes of Albert Hammond Jr., The Pierces, Teddy Thompson and James Iha. His playing and writing can be heard on Blue October's 2018 hit album I Hope You're Happy (for which he co-wrote the title song), as well as UK hits by Birdy and Gavin James, and James Bay's international 2019 hit “Bad”. He's also his own boutique studio, composing music for documentary films and ads for multiple national brands and companies. In 2019, Longwave reunited and released “If We Ever Live Forever”, followed by “Live At Bowery Ballroom” in 2020. New records by Blue October, Harvard Of The South, and the Japan-only “There's Nothing Precious In The Past” are all slated for release in 2020. Tragically, this interview was recorded 2 weeks to the day before Neal died. Neal Casal was the lead guitarist for the Chris Robinson Brotherhood, released 12 solo LPs, played as a sideman for Robert Randolph, Todd Snider, James Iha, Gin Wigmore, Duncan Sheik, Tift Wegmore, Ryan Adams… and was also a member of Hard Working Americans (Todd Snider & Dave Schools) and Circles Around The Sun Deep convo here about the sacrifices Neal made to get his solo career going, how & why he cranked out 6 records in 5 years… his attraction to the blues, surfing, photography, his favorite guitar effects, connecting people, best decision he ever made (definitely NOT what you might think), and of course, NYC pizza: Subscribe https://www.everyonelovesguitar.com/subscribe/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/EveryoneLovesGuitar/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/everyonelovesguitar/

The guys are joined by Dave Keuning of The Killers and Keuning to discuss “Siamese Dream” from the Smashing Pumpkins. Plenty of discussion about Dave’s new album “Prismism,” Billy Corgan, Pisces Iscariot, Pissant, James Iha, and why Ben & Wayne sometimes call the band “Smashing Milk.” Check out Dave’s new record and tour dates at: keuningmusic.com

Jason and Jon get back into it after a long break. As they wrap up the L songs, they discuss a James Iha demo, a Zwan track, and a few classics as well.
I'm joined this week by Matt Walker, one of modern rock's most celebrated and accomplished drummers (Morrissey, Smashing Pumpkins, Filter, Cupcakes, Garbage, and more). Go see Matt kick ass behind the drum kit with Sons of the Silent Age at Metro on 1/12/19! We met for vegetarian food from the fantastic Chicago Diner (3411 N. Halsted), a true Chicago institution ("Meat-free since '83!"). Chicago Diner is a great entry point for people curious about vegetarian and vegan food... and for the already-converted. Chicago Diner's "Soul Bowl" is fantastic. Matt had the Trio Burger Sliders (Buddha's Karma Burger, Cajun Black Bean Black Bean Burger, and Titanic BLT). The orange drinks we ordered that we loved (and I couldn't remember the name of) were SPICED ORANGE: House-made orange syrup infused with vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and pumpkin pie spice Sons of the Silent Age: The phenomenal Bowie tribute band Matt's a part of, along with other A-list musicians including vocalist Chris Connelly. Sons of the Silent Age plays a benefit at Metro on Saturday 1/12/19. The Facebook Live recording is merely an amuse-bouche. Chris Connelly didn't need to rehearse the "SHUT UP" part of Bowie's "It's No Game." When Matt was asked to audition for... and join... Smashing Pumpkins, right out of the Filter "Short Bus" tour. The Pumpkins' matinee show at Metro. I was there and helped Tim Meadows from SNL get into the show. The nickname James Iha gave Matt Walker that just stuck. What are the drumming differences between Matt and Jimmy Chamberlin? Matt's time with Filter and current relationship with the members of the band. The Chicago scene as Matt was coming up: "I loved that time... I played in a lot of different bands." Leaving the Pumpkins to go all-in with Cupcakes. There's a Cupcakes reunion brewing... Is it a better environment for an up-and-coming artist these days? The times Matt filled in for Butch Vig with Garbage (including "Bleed Like Me"). The dark cloud that follows Matt Walker from A-list band to A-list band. If Matt weren't in a Bowie tribute band, he'd be in an Adam Ant tribute. Wind up the jukebox! "Everyone loves Matt Walker." Car Con Carne is presented by The Autobarn Mazda of Evanston.

It’s been more than 18 years since the Smashing Pumpkins recorded an album with original members Jimmy Chamberlin and James Iha. So what do Matt Gamba and Zach Shaw think of Billy Corgan and co.’s new album?
Vært: Augusta Glahn-Abrahamsen *This episode of Heartland Podcast is in Danish*
No Future. No Sun.

After a busy few months, Jon and Jason are finally back this week to finish up the “H” songs, including: standout tracks from Siamese Dream and MACHINA II, a b-side released by Sub Pop, and the very first Zwan single. They also give their first impressions of “Solara,” the new Smashing Pumpkins song featuring the return of James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin.

In this episode, hosts Tim, Ryan, and Greg at turns endure Ryan explaining his crytocurrency ventures, Tim explaining Julian Casablancas, and Greg explaining James Iha.
This week Jay and Cameron talk to Brent from Shinedown and Wes from Puddle of Mudd, as well recap this week's Lorde, Alaniz Morissette, & Puddle of Mudd concerts, talk news about Dio's hologram, Gene Simmons, & James Iha, and much more.
This week, Jon and Jason talk about “Gossamer,” an epic live song that often clocks in over 30 minutes, plus: one of the few James Iha songs to make it onto a Smashing Pumpkins record, a Mellon Collie b-side that almost made the album, and the fourth and final song from the Pumpkins’ “Batman and Robin” era. They also wrap up another letter by choosing their favorite “G” song.
Bill and Brian are joined by podcaster James Anderson of Unabashedly Obsessed (unabashedlyobsessed.com) to talk about the Smashing Pumpkins breakthrough album Siamese Dream (1993, Virgin). James tells the story of playing N64 in a friend's basement, being blown away hearing the Pumpkins for first time, and how it led to purchasing the album at Walmart, a circumstance that forever shaped how he listened to the album. Bill, Brian, and James then get into the band's evolution through the years, how Billy Corgan wishes he could resequence the album, D'Arcy Wretzky and James Iha's lack of involvement in the recording, Jimmy Chamberlain's kick ass drumming and natural tones, Butch Vig's big guitar sounds and love of acoustic tracks, and much more as we make our way through the album track by track!
This week, Jon and Jason kick things off with a James Iha solo track that might be a lost Smashing Pumpkins song (and is definitely a lost classic). They also talk about a song where all four original Pumpkins members share lead vocals, a song that debuted in a car commercial during the Super Bowl, and a song with a whistle solo… A WHISTLE SOLO!
This episode includes a song that was originally written for Courtney Love to sing, a great acoustic/ukulele song, a James Iha track, and the first of two different songs named “Cross.” Also: Jon opens Pandora’s Box by finding a controversial Smashing Pumpkins-related list online, and Jason remembers some of the band’s more bizarre TV appearances.
This episode features Rob Turner and Seth Weiner each giving their review of the 2017 Shaky Knees Festival in Atlanta, Georgia. The hosts discuss the festival and the performances of acts like LCD Soundsystem, Sylvan Esso, Great Peacock, Saint Motel, Hamilton Leithauser, J. Roddy Walston and The Business, Warpaint, Bleachers, Phoenix, Ryan Adams and more. Then we hear an interview Weiner and Turner conducted the same weekend with the three core members of Zipper Club. We hear how the band’s debut tour was with Tears For Fears. Mason James relates how important his years with Cerebral Ballsy were, and the significance of having a punk ethos in general - whether it means expressing yourself fully, or pissing people off or both. Lissie Trullie explains how her Emory professor father’s record collection initially turned her onto music, and how she has been inspired going from writing alone in her own band to collaborating in this one. Drummer Damar Davis chimes in at well, discussing his early days as a musician, and bringing forth effusive love of Led Zeppelin and a stylin’ diversion to a question about the mysterious origins of the band’s name. Among the many other topics are the band’s songwriting plans moving forward, their interest in improvisation, working with Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha and the band’s, apparently very serious problem with parking tickets wTnS is Produced by Rob Turner and Engineered by Josh Thane of Wonder Dog Sounds (wonderdogsounds.com) Inside Out w/ Turner and Seth: insideoutwtns.com Twitter: @InsideoutWTNS Instagram: www.instagram.com/insideoutwtns Facebook: www.facebook.com/insideoutwTnS See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
This episode covers one of the most well known James Iha songs, two songs that Billy seemed to wrestle with and record multiple versions of, and a beautiful home demo from the Siamese Dream era that took almost 20 years to be released.
For the first time, Jason and Jon talk about five officially-released studio recordings (with vocals), including a track from the Batman and Robin soundtrack, and two of James Iha’s best songs. Also: Jason tries to convince Jon that “Canadian puns” are a thing. (Originally released April 2, 2017. Re-releasing with improved audio).
James Iha checks-in to discuss : Act 2 of his career, a phrase he learned in Los Angeles, and how turning back into a Pumpkin has been a "beautiful thing".
Ep 48: Nick Wold - Dreamers Nick tells BD about starting out on Alto-Sax and loving Jazz so much he went to NYU and majored in it until he started his first rock band in Brooklyn. Nick talks about how he's learning to write with simplicity, his first co-write experience and his song writing experience with James Iha, formerly of the Smashing Pumpkins.
How to always win the wishbone pull, and navigate Thanksgiving family drama. Plus: Paula Deen on turkey, and we talk pumpkin pie with James Iha of the Smashing Pumpkins. Seriously.

Hi! I'm Peggy from the Pains and this is a mix I made. Here are some notes: I couldn't decide which Gregory Webster non-Razorcuts song I wanted to use, but this Saturn V song is one I discovered on a Vinyl Japan comp. It's so slacker 90s indie rock sounding. Also, there's a Smashing Pumpkins song that is the b-side to my favorite SP song ever, "1979." James Iha sings it and I'm pretty sure it was recorded on a 4-track. A guy I met on AOL put this on a tape for me when I was in high school and I loved it to death back then. Further is another band that I loved in high school, I need to track down the song that's on the My So-Called Life soundtrack. The Conny song is from an album called "This Is Love" of Swedish bands covering Haddaway's "What is Love" which I highly recommend. Well, for anyone who loves cheesy early nineties dance jams as much as me. Anyway, sorry if there are too many gross love songs on here. Ew!1) Triffids "Stand Up"2) Further "Teenage Soul"3) Spinning Jennys "I'd Laugh If Your Head Exploded"4) The Dentists "I Had an Excellent Dream"5) Yummy Fur "The Career Saver"6) Teenage Fanclub "So Far Gone" (Peel Session)7) Saturn V "Machine-Gun Head"8) Proclaimers "Then I Met You"9) Ninth Arena "The Room"10) Scars "All About You"11) Girlboy Girl "Feeder"12) Age of Chance "Everlasting Yeah"13) Television Personalities "Whatever Gets You Thru the Night"14) Smashing Pumpkins "The Boy"15) Cherry Smash "Nowhere Generation"16) The Sundays "My Finest Hour"17) Mari Wilson "Stop and Start"18) Conny "What Is Love"19) Grab Grab the Haddock "Last Fond Goodbye"

Louise Post catches up with Kyle Meredith to talk about her new demo collection, But I Love You Without Mascara, a collection that preceded 2000's Resolver. The Veruca Salt co-founder discusses how the songs were written at a time when the original lineup was breaking up and the lyrics that directly reflect her relationship with bandmate Nina Gordon at that time, as well as the famed late '90s relationship that also inspired one of the songs, and having Pat Smear and James Iha guest on the closing track.Post then tells us about possible plans to release more demo collections, but not before her upcoming solo album - the first under her own name - which takes inspiration from Nirvana, Finneas, Billie Eilish, and others.Listen to the Five Days at Memorial stars discuss all this and more on the Kyle Meredith With… podcast now, or watch the conversation via Consequence.
