Millions of borrowers will now face uncertainty, as federal judges in Kansas and Missouri have blocked crucial parts of President Biden's student loan forgiveness plan. The rulings prevent the Department of Education from easing repayment terms and accelerating debt cancellation for many. White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre expressed strong disagreement with the decision, affirming the Department of Justice will continue to vigorously defend the SAVE plan. The plan has benefited 8 million Americans with lower payments and faster debt relief. It was a cornerstone of the administration's efforts to fix the broken student loan system. Despite the legal hurdles, the administration is determined to enroll more borrowers and provide ongoing support. The court's decision impacts efforts to lower payments for those with larger loans and shorten the required payment period from 25 to 20 years for forgiveness. I cry out  to you in your loving son Jesus name then I pray in the name of the father and the son and the Holy Spirit Amen: Explanation and Commentary of Matthew 25:40 There is nothing in the Bible that would suggest that it is possible to separate love for God from love for people. We love and worship an invisible God. He has forbidden us to make an image of himself, but he has put his image into mankind. If we would see him and serve him, we must see and serve our fellow man. But beyond that, we must see and serve “the least of these” because in this we can better know that our service is rendered to God for love of him and for his glory. Serving those who are of worldly importance, especially those who can return the favor (Lk 14:12), is not wrong, but the motive for such service could always be in question, especially if the kind of service that Jesus is describing never occurs. In the parable of the sheep and the goats, neither the sheep nor the goats expected the response of the master. The sheep are surprised that they were serving Christ by serving the least of these. The goats were surprised that they were failing Christ by failing the least of these. The goal here would be to do all things and render all service to all people for the glory of God and the sake of the Gospel. Breaking Down the Key Parts of Matthew 25:40 #1 “The King will reply, truly I tell you,” The King is Jesus at the judgment “in his glory…on his glorious throne” (Mt 25:31). The most important aspect of his judgment will be the opening of the Book of Life. The sheep will have their names written there (Rev 20:12). The goats will not. This signifies belief vs unbelief. Rather than see what follows as a kind of salvation by works, one should understand that true believers will live their lives in Christ and unto him. #2 “whatever you did…” Jesus said of the sheep, “For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick, and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me” (Mt 25:35-36). The goats, the unbelievers failed to do the very same. #3 “…for one of the least of these…” There are few who will not help a great or important person if given the chance. But the humble will stoop for those who cannot return the favor (Lk 14:12). Christ is careful to align himself with these similarly to how he upholds children. #4 “…brothers and sisters of mine,” It seems he primarily means Christians. But there is a sense that he also means nonbelievers who are in need as well. We are certainly taught that God sends the sun and rain on the wicked as well as the good and that we should be like our Father in Heaven, even blessing our enemie

Yes, even you!To do it well does cost some money and a fair amount of time and effort, but it’s not extremely expensive, and you don't need anyone's permission to do it.The hardest part (from what I've seen) is growing an audience and getting people to listen to your podcast and share it with other people.People probably aren't going to care about your opinionA common mistake I see a lot of people make is starting a show where they just talk about whatever random subject they feel like talking about.It can be fun to do that for awhile, but it’ll be hard to convince strangers to listen to you unless you're already known for something else.Everyone has an opinion, and most strangers probably aren't going to be interested in hearing yours. To stand out, you’ll need to figure out how to provide something valuable, useful, or interesting to them.Aim to make your show entertaining, educational, or inspirational. If you can make it be all three, even better.If you don’t feel like you have anything important or interesting to say, it’s ok to put off podcasting for awhile. Focus instead of becoming an interesting, experienced person who can talk about a topic or tell stories in a way that makes people notice and pay attention.Don't give up when the going gets tough.You’re going to encounter road blocks and get stuck sometimes.There are answers to every question out there on the internet in blog posts, YouTube videos, books, podcasts, etc.Be patient and learn to enjoy the process of learning. Don’t get frustrated if you can’t accomplish a task right away.Podcasting is a marathon, not a sprint.Success comes to those who stick with it for a long time, so don’t give up if you don’t achieve all your goals right away. Look for shows that are similar to the show you want to make. Learn from them, get inspired by them.4 Key Parts to PodcastingThere are four main parts of making a great podcast. They are: 1. Planning & Pre-Production 2. Recording & Production 3. Editing & Post-Production 4. Launching & PromotingLet's go through each of these steps in more detail.1: Pre-Production / Planning the ShowThe Goal: Come up a title, theme, short description, branding/visual style, and format for your show, and choose a time in your schedule to work on it.The first step is to decide:What your show is going to be called (the title)What it's going to be about (the theme)What your branding or visual style is going to be (the look of your artwork)What the format is going to be (Interviews? Fiction / Story telling?)When you're going to work on it (In the mornings before work? In the evenings after work? Weekends?)The Title: Check Apple Podcasts and social media to make sure the title you want isn’t already taken.The Theme/Format: Will you do interviews? Chat with a friend about a new topic every week? Tell a story in a narrative style? Do something weird and bizarre? There’s no rules here, so you have freedom to create the kind of show that you want. I’m guessing you have a few ideas based on shows you already listen to and enjoy. Make a show you’d love to listen to, and have fun!The Branding/Visual Style: Eventually you’ll need to create or hire someone to create cover art for your show. Your podcast cover art needs to be a square image, 3000x3000 pixels, a JPG or PNG file format.The Schedule: Decide what your recording and publishing schedule will be. Can you produce and publish new episodes every week? Every two weeks? Want to record a season of 12 episodes all at once and then release them? You’ll want to block off some time on your calendar to work on producing new episodes, but also time to promote your show and episodes and invest in your existing listeners and also on getting new listeners. (Podcasting can take a lot of time, so give yourself more time than you expect when you're just starting out.)Don’t worry about getting it perfect right away!Don’t worry about getting everything perfect, just make a plan and keep making progress. You can always change things later if you decide you really need to.For more information about planning a show, check out:So You Want to Start a PodcastHow to Write a Podcast Description That Attracts New ListenersHow to Design Stunning Podcast Cover Art That Stands Out2: Recording & ProductionThe goal: Get some recording gear and plan and record some episodes.Recording GearThere are ways to make a podcast using only your smartphone, or you could spend thousands of dollars on professional microphones, cameras, and accessories. There are good options for pretty much every budget.I recommend starting off with gear on the cheaper or affordable side, and then upgrading later if you decide the extra sound quality or utility is worth it to you. You want to avoid spending $2000 on gear only to decide a few months later that podcasting isn’t for you.Questions to consider:What is your budget?What gear do you need for the format you’ve chosen?How serious are you about podcasting?I keep a list of my favorite gear at kit.co/podcastingwithaaron. (Those are affiliate links, so I get a small cut of the sale if you buy something using the link on that site).Recording and Editing Software/AppsThere’s software and apps for recording and editing audio (Garageband, Audacity, Reaper, Logic Pro, Audition), and also software and apps for recording interviews (Squadcast, Zoom, Zencastr, Descript, Cleanfeed, etc).I prefer the paid software, but there are plenty of people who record and publish using free software.For best results, you’ll want to get an individual audio track for each person that’s on the podcast. This is why I like and use Squadcast.You don’t want to start off with one single audio track that has everyone’s voice on it, it makes editing and balancing the volume levels of each voice much harder.Practice recording to get comfortable with your gear and software before you start trying to record episodes that you plan to publish.I recommend doing at least couple of test/practice episodes that you don’t plan to publish, just so you can learn how to use your gear and the software without pressure to get everything right. This is especially important if you plan to do interviews.Creating EpisodesFor each episode, you'll need:An episode title/themeA short description of the episode (What is the episode about? Why should someone listen to it?)An outline for the episode (What are you going to talk about in the episode?)Episode notes or a script (You can write this before, or after. It can be as short or long as you like)Episode artwork (optional, but can be a nice touch)At the very least, you’ll need to have a title for the episode, how you’re going to start the episode, what you’re going to talk about, and then how you’re going to end the episode.Create / gather all this information, and then start recording! Be sure to save your recording when you're done.3: Editing & Post-ProductionThe goal: Edit your episodes and get them ready for publishing, and choose a hosting platform for your show.Editing a Podcast EpisodeEditing a podcast episode is definitely a topic that deserves it’s own episode or video, but the goal is to get all the audio files for the episode together, and then cut out anything you don’t want in the episode. Add music, sound effects, whatever else you want.I definitely encourage creativity with editing, but be aware that many new podcasters I’ve talked to find editing to be the hardest and most time consuming part of podcasting.If you’re just starting out, you might want to keep it simple. Only edit out really noticeable/terrible mistakes, and try to get the volume levels of the audio tracks roughly the same (this is known as mixing).Editing and mixing can take years to master or get good at, so be patient with yourself while you learn! Watching YouTube videos of other people editing will help.Once you’re done editing your episode, export an MP3 audio file. This is what you’ll upload to your podcast hosting platform.Choose a Podcasting Hosting Platform for Your ShowYou don’t actually upload episodes to Apple Podcasts or Spotify or the other podcast apps people use to listen to podcasts. Instead, you’ll sign up for an account on a podcast hosting platform that will provide you with an easy interface for adding information about your show and episode to an RSS feed.The RSS feed is essentially a text document that is hosted and updated by your podcast hosting platform. It will contain all of the information about your show, as well as links to where your episode audio files are hosted.You’ll give the URL or link for your show’s RSS feed to Apple, Spotify, and the other podcast apps and directories. That’s how you get your show listed there.Once those apps/directories have the link to your show’s RSS feed, they’ll get any updates or new episodes you publish in your podcast hosting platform automatically.Which hosting platform should I use for my podcast?There’s more than a few options for podcast hosting platforms.I really like Simplecast, Buzzsprout, Transistor, Captivate, and Fireside.There’s a popular free option called Anchor, but I don’t recommend using that unless you’re only planning on podcasting for fun or as a hobby.If you’re serious about podcasting and growing an audience, sign up for and use one of the hosting platforms I recommended. Approach new ideas with a Buddhist philosophy --> Let go of assumptions. Approach each topic with a beginner's mind. A founder who is an explorer -- "Don't get stuck as an investor by constantly asking questions. You need to want to deeply understand someone. It goes both ways. Literal answers aren't enough." The role of the founder is “to collect people.” → Mentor side, peer side, employee side, customer side. Engage with people. Create a 'bi-directional' connection. This has shifted over time for Brad. Think #GiveFirst Life partner - Amy... They are equals. It's important to acknowledge that. They almost split up after 10 years because Brad's words were not matching his actions. "YOUR WORDS MUST MATCH YOUR ACTIONS.' Prioritize what's important and then follow through. If it's important to you to spend time with your spouse, then do it. Brad and Amy had to learn how to fight... When their 13 year old dog died, it was devastating. Amy and Brad deal with tragedy differently. It's important to understand that it's OK for your spouse to deal with grief differently than you do. Key Parts to building community: The people in charge must be leaders Must have a long term commitment --> 20 years+ Inclusive of anyone who wants to engage Have events that engage people Complex systems to how communities evolve --Complicated systems has more steps. Goal setting - They tend to be too rigid. The time component can be a problem. Brad prefers raid iteration. Better to have a hypothesis. If the hypothesis fails, learn it. Eric Ries - Lean Startup Rapid experimentation - Rapid learning is better Vast majority of goals you set are not right in the future Writing - "When I write, I learn." Force yourself to write it down. Put it in public. Have an open mind to feedback. "People get stuck in dogma when they don't write things down. They don't know why they believe in it." You can't do this quickly. People don't feel like they have time to think. That's a problem. The role of selling: Selling is crucial. You are selling all the time. Sales is a noble profession. Acknowledge it. Develop the skills to do it well. Everyone works in sales.  

A key part of productivity is having the ability to focus and to do the deep work.  Lee Chambers is the guest on today’s episode of the Success Podcast. He is a life coach,  and he is going to talk with us about this specific topic. Lee looks at how we attach to tasks and how we then carry them out. These two areas intersect with employee productivity and performance in today's society. Here are some key points from this episode.    We have so many different things vying for our attention.  It’s becoming more and more difficult to follow our biological rhythms and work deeply for periods of time.We face many businesses that get paid to remove our boredom. At the same time, these businesses are also removing our ability to focus on one specific task and carry that out to a really high peak performance level for a long period. The average worker does so many different things today, he or she can't possibly just work really deeply on one task. There are emails pinging here and notifications over there.    How To Start Doing The Deep Work Despite Distractions It’s a lot like riding a bike. First you get on and you balance the bike. You visualize the path ahead. You start pedaling.  But do you remember what it was like when you first started learning how to ride a bike? The same applies to deep work. A lot of practice is required. You’re not going to get it right when you do it the first time.    You have to set boundaries. No notifications. Your email is closed. Anything that's gonna distract you from the work is not there, and naturally takes a big step to make those intentional decisions. Deep work really starts to become a process of you becoming aware, and then implementing these things into your life.    When Challenges Come Your Way At some point you’ll face different challenges in your life. They might be health related or financial problems. Whatever the problem, you can turn a threat or challenge into an opportunity to learn. Lee became seriously ill, spending three weeks in hospital and spending six months learning to walk again. His illness was a turning point for him. Lee spent the last five years studying and practising everything he could learn to optimise my mind, body and soul. There will be times when your back is up against the wall. You must decide to take responsibility for your own situation and do what you can do.
