Reinventing Healthcare, Four Women at a Time. In this powerful episode, I chat with Amy Louis-Bayliss, MD MSCP, and Lindsay Stollery Jephcott, two of four visionary women—three doctors and an entrepreneur—who unite to transform women's healthcare. Rather than rushing to build a business, they began by aligning their values and purpose, grounding their venture in a commitment to make a real impact. Through Lume Women + Health, they tackle a crucial, often overlooked need: personalized healthcare for women. They address menopause, sexual health, and overall wellness with a unique, preventive approach. At the same time, the episode examines the broader healthcare system's challenges and the toll on patients and front-line workers alike. It explores the idea that a fusion of private-sector innovation and a shared vision for accessible care could bring scalable, lasting change. This conversation offers an inspiring blend of entrepreneurial grit, health advocacy, and lessons in building purpose-driven partnerships. And their approach could change healthcare for the better across our country.   To learn more about Lume Women + Health: https://lumewomenshealth.com

Retiring at 63 with “enough” may sound good on the surface, but when you examine what financial freedom can look like, your 401(k) may begin to lose its luster. Finding other ways to create wealth could be the secret to creating the retirement you dreamed of. On this episode of Zen and the Art of Real Estate Investing, Lindsay Lovell sits down with Jonathan to talk about the moment she decided her 401(k) wouldn't be enough to give her the life she dreamed about. Once she dove into real estate, Lindsay scaled her real estate business from zero to 36 doors in just 18 months--achieving the financial freedom she longed for. Today, she owns a diverse portfolio with 72 properties, including long-term vacation rentals and mobile home park ventures. She is the co-founder of GVI Capital Management and Wanderlust Stays. She is the founder of the Millionaires March, a coaching business for real estate entrepreneurs. Jonathan and Lindsay's conversation is in-depth, and they start by exploring how Bigger Pockets and other sources helped her begin learning about real estate investing and how to find a community of investors to connect with. She explains why her first intentional investment purchase was based in St. Joseph, Missouri, why she leaned on her mentor to guide her in the beginning, and her approach to diversification as she builds wealth. Lindsay is passionate about helping others in real estate, which led her to start the Millionaires March coaching business and helps her clients find the right asset classes for their goals. In the last half of their conversation, Jonathan explores Lindsay's preference for single-family homes in the Midwest, how climate change affects her purchase decisions, and her method for identifying potential investment markets. Finally, she explains why your goals for financial freedom should define your success. Lindsay Lovell discovered the secret to creating wealth and finding financial freedom, and her passion for helping others do the same is inspiring. This episode contains lessons learned along the way that you won't want to miss. In this episode, you will hear: Lindsay Lovell's realization that her 401(k) may not provide the retirement she wanted and her pivot toward real estate investing How Bigger Pockets and the investing community's desire to help further fueled her interest in investing Lindsay's first property purchase in St. Joseph, Missouri, which she paid $25,000 in cash for, spent $20,000 renovating, and its eventual appraisal for $62,000 What led her to invest in St. Joseph after initially considering Reno Her conservative approach to property purchases and why she leaned on her mentor to guide her through the first few buys The importance of diversification in building wealth What the Millionaires March is and who Lindsay's clients are in her coaching business How she helps her clients find the right asset classes for their investing goals Linday's preference for single-family homes in the Midwest and how climate change impacts her choices Why she doesn't like flipping houses and stays away from those projects The steps she took to scale her portfolio and the role of diversification in that process Identifying markets based on key points that are solid indicators of a growing market Getting through the nos to get to the yes with the support of a community around you Focusing on your goals for financial freedom to define your success The advice Lindsay offers to investors who want to get into this challenging real estate market Her future plans for the Millionaires March and the one piece of advice she'd give to new investors in the current real estate climate Follow and Review: We'd love for you to follow us if you haven't yet. Say Yes to Holiness

In this Say Yes to Holiness 1:1 Conversation podcast, Christina speaks with  Lindsay Caron, educator, parent, and Founder of the Theology of the Body Parent School. With nearly 20 years of experience in Catholic education and moral development, Lindsay brings passion and focus to her role as Executive Director of the Theology of the Body Parent School. Founded in 2020 in the quiet backyard meetings of a pandemic backdrop, TOB Parent School has now grown to a team of 20 with a robust and expanding Theology of the Body curriculum for busy Catholic families. Lindsay has degrees in Cultural Anthropology (BS), Interdisciplinary Education (MA), and Catholic School Leadership (MA), and this helps her bring an ideal blend of expertise to the non-profit and curriculum development.  The TOB Parent School was founded by Catholic parents from the Portland, OR area. They are theologians, educators, doctors, psychologists, moms, dads, priests, faith formation directors, and business men and women. They have combined intellect and desire to create a new movement of empowered parents who are equipped to reclaim their role as primary educators, and after finding nothing out there to meet the needs of the modern Catholic parent, they got to work and the result was the TOB Monthly, a mini magazine that teaches kids about personhood and sexuality in an age-appropriate way, with the parent always in the lead.  Linday and my conversation was far ranging, everything from the state of education today to how parents are able to be the primary educators that the Church says they are, so I hope our conversation serves to inspire, encourage and help share the beauty of the Church's teachings about personhood and sexuality with those around you, especially yourt children, so that together we can tell the Master of Death, "Not Today!" Warning, this episode contains talk of attempted suicide and harm to children.  The Lindsay Clancy story may not have made national news, but you've probably seen it if you live in the eastern U.S.  Lindsay was a mother of three, who allegedly killed her three young children while suffering from postpartum psychosis. This is an absolutely unimaginable and tragic case, and one that opens up a bigger conversation about women's mental health. As well as a personal one for me, as I struggled greatly with postpartum anxiety and some psychosis after the birth of my son in 2007.  Lindsay was being treated for her mental illness, and allegedly was on several medications. A recent article quotes an OB/GYN nurse and perinatal mental health advocate by the name of Melissa Anne DuBois, where she explains, “The rhetoric coming from the prosecution and other people in authority hazardously distort the medical complexity of this disorder. When they paint Lindsay as a monster who carried out an elaborate, premeditated murder, instead of as someone suffering from a serious mental illness that wasn't properly treated and who subsequently had a psychotic break, it sends a message to all the struggling parents out there [that] nothing can help me.” This episode shares Linday's tragic story, my own personal journey here, touches on how privilege is operating here, as well as what we can do. There's space for everybody.” But we know little about how differently-abled people will respond to low-gravity environments and the unique challenges that can arise in human space flight. Mission: Astro Access - a crew of disabled scientists, aerospace professionals and artists based in America - is planning its second mission to explore how different people navigate space travel. What challenges arise, and surprisingly, what advantages might different abilities have? Our guests today are Eric Ingram and Lindsay Yazzolino. Eric, a wheelchair user, and Lindsay who is blind are two of the crew members who set out to find answers to these questions on board Mission: Astro Access's parabolic flights where they experienced zero gravity, and gravity-simulating the moon and Mars. On the mission, the ambassadors will explore questions like: How would you navigate if the lights went out on your spacecraft? How would you communicate if it's too loud to hear? The experiments on Astro Access will benefit all future explorers, as the learnings are passed onto players in the space industry, making spacecraft and space stations safer, easier to navigate and adaptable to the diversity of humans who will one day visit, live and work in space.Key Takeaways Mission Astro Access is a project dedicated to promoting disability inclusion in space exploration by paving the way for disabled astronauts in science, technology, engineering and math. In turn, they are making space accessible for everyone. Astro Access completed its second mission in November of 2022, where they launched disabled scientists, veterans, students, athletes and artists on parabolic flights. They conducted experiments in weightlessness, lunar gravity, martian gravity and zero gravity.  Eric Ingram is the founder and CEO of SCOUT Inc. a smart satellite components company. He uses a wheelchair and flew on Astro Access 1 and 2. Lindsay Yazzolino is a totally blind nonvisual designer who currently works as a user experience designer at CVs Health. Linday flew on Astro Access 2. NASA is sending astronauts back to the moon and commercial space flight is growing. We are well past the age where only military fighter pilots are becoming astronauts. It is only a matter of time until space flight is a part of human civilization says Eric. Lindsey's experiment on Mission 2 involved designing and testing tactile decals for the inside of the aircraft. The main decal is a tactile V to help people orient themselves non-visually. Other decals included tactile symbols for oxygen masks and other emergency equipment. Eric describes microgravity as alien. You don't have the buoyancy of water holding you up. You don't have air rushing by your face as if you were jumping out of a plane. Lindsay recalls martian gravity as feeling as if the plane was moving around her. All Astro Access experiments lead to solutions that are applicable for and can benefit all human space flight. If lights go out on a spacecraft, you will need a way to navigate. If you get injured or grow old in space, you will need ways to adapt to that new physical reality. The conversation of accessibility in space is well underway due to Astro Access' initiatives and the support of several commercial space flight companies.  Resources Astro Access on Radio Lab! “We remember where we came from. That's everything,” says Susan Sarich, Founder of SusieCakes, one of California's top destinations for all things sweet. After graduating from Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, she spent 25 years holding a variety of positions within a number of renowned hospitality groups. Realizing that women tended to leave the industry around the time they decided to get married and start families, she set out to create a space where women could continue to work throughout all of life's changes. SusieCakes pays homage to her grandmothers, Mildred and Madeline, by bringing the treasured recipes they passed down to her on 3 x 5 index cards to her customers. Since opening her first shop in 2006 in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles, she has since opened in 26 locations across California and Texas, and now ships classic Midwest desserts like layer cakes, cookies and pies, nationwide. In October of 2022, she was included in Forbes' 50 Over 50 list, which spotlights women over 50 who are shattering age and gender norms across all sectors. Linday's own grandparents played a large role in shaping who she is today, so it's fitting that Susan and her legacy business is the subject of Dear FoundHer's 100th episode. Highlights from today's conversation include: The importance of grassroots marketing. Get your product into as many homes and events as possible. Don't be afraid to go against industry norms to build a business that works best for you and your demographic. How to accept and roll with being the face of your brand. Staying true to your brand and values, true to the reason you started, and trusting your gut. Quotes • “Do not let anybody tell you your idea is a bad idea. Just push naysayers aside.” (47:10-47:18 | Susan) • “Trust your gut instinct, always.” (47:23-47:25 | Susan) • “Make sure that you are being true to the reason you started out. Be true to your values. Because a lot of people lose their path once they start getting successful, or the things in life change. They forget about who they were. So one of the values of our company is that we remember where we came from. And for me, that's everything.” (47:41-48:06 | Susan) Connect with Susan Sarich: Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/susiecakesbakery Instagram | http://www.instagram.com/susiesarich Please don't forget to rate, comment, and subscribe to Dear FoundHer on Apple, Spotify, or wherever you listen to podcasts! So that was kind of the beginning of me wanting to make something different.”“If we started from scratch, how would we make it? And so that's how we ended up with dry toothpaste tablets.”“Our toothpaste tablets, you get the glass jar once, then you keep refilling it with our compostable refill pouches, and same with our deodorant.”“I block out an hour every Friday and I talk to our customers, I set up calls and I get on the phone with them.”“The most important superpower you can have, especially as a small brand, is talking to and understanding your customers.”“Sometimes the right move is to see it play out and be patient.”“You have to constantly be trying to get better”“It's not about going from point A to point B, it's about just moving forward. Designer Spotlight: Tie-Dye With Made By Keeper

You know Holly loves nothing more than hunting down new designers for y'all, and this week, we have a super-fun and super on-trend designer with us on the show: Lindsay of Made By Keeper!    This “Designer Spotlight” episode shines on Made By Keeper, who creates ice dye and reverse dye fashions. If you don't know what that is – then, helleeerrrr...that is why WE are here! #duh #youarewelcome   Designer Lindsay has been tie-dying everything she could get her hands on since she was a kid – using things like Kool-Aid and avocados, and just about anything with a strong, stainable color. (Her mother must have just LOVED that!)   “I was always a creative kid. I would rather be in art class (or theater) instead of any other class. It wasn't until I was much older that my interests broadened to more than what I could learn in a classroom. One thing that always stuck was my love for the abstract. I've never been one to be symmetrical - could never draw a human form that looked right or a bowl of fruit that was lifelike.” “Be a Fruit Loop in a bowl of Cheerios!”   - Linsday, Made By Keeper Anyway, Holly and her husband - and of course Schmutz The Wonder Doodle - were walking on the West Side one day, and found Linsday at a street market in 72nd Street all decked out in the most AMAZEBALLS tie-dye from head to toe – so of course Holly had to learn more.    Holly fell in love with Lindsay's tie-dyes (remember, she IS the best fashion friend you never knew you needed), especially the ultra-cool jogger sets, dog hoodies and adorable sets of kitchen towels and napkins. How great would those be as a summer house-warming gift!?     So, we invited Linsday to the show to tell us all about the art of tie-dye, her creations and how she started her own woman-owned business. #bosslady #brandbestie   Fashion Crime Fact: The crime it here is not wearing tie-dye, or too much tie-dye.  The crime is not taking the time to appreciate something different, and not supporting women-owned small businesses, especially lesser-known artists and creators.  We love supporting women-owned small businesses! We love to shop small. We love creative people in the fashion industry that are doing good in the world.    And by the way? These are not your Jerry Garcia tie-dyed T-shirts, folks. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but different animal entirely.   First, you should know that there are many styles and processes of tie-dying. Lindsay takes us through some of them from the traditional Batik and Shibori, to the techniques she uses which are ice dyes (yes, with ice) and reverse dyes.    Holly's Key Insights: This creative process is hard, people! It is an art form. It takes a long time to do. This is not your third-grade tie-dye. This is real, curated, thought-out, interesting, technical tie-dye. It is done in a very special way. This is bringing it back to the bare bones of what you can be wearing and how to express your creativity and your individualism.  Be sure to check out our social posts and stories to see some of Lindsay's technical processes.    You can also see more on Instagram and Etsy, where you will find all the clothing and accessories Lindsay now creates. Her fashions are unisex, and have inclusive sizes from newborn and infant, up to size up to 6X:    Joggers/Shorts Hoodies/Sweatshirts Dog Hoodies Accessories Beach Towels Kitchen Towels Ice Dyes Reverse Dyes Custom Dyes Custom Shoes   Made by Keeper's life goal? Total tie-dye world domination! Of course!    And Lindsay is right on trend with that, Fashion Friends. Because in the era of work from home (WFH), guess what people are wearing? Loungewear, comfy wear, not their pajamas.    As Holly says (and you know she says a lot), it's OK to dress casually when working from home. BUT, if you need to dive behind your couch when the doorbell rings, then you need to get yourself dressed like a real adult every morning.  #jussayin Fun Fashion Fact: Work from home does not mean you get to look like shit all day. #howtonotlooklikeshit #preach But wait, there's more. Sneaker Heads Unite! Linday is also into transforming sneakers. Most of her work is one of a kind; just by nature of the beast. But she loves getting the opportunity to take on custom projects – and sneakers have been her jam of late. This also falls into the area of sustainability: recreate your sneakers, items with stains, jeans, dye a sweater with your college colors - anything that is cotton and basically white can be transformed.    Want more style advice from Holly? Of course you do. Be sure to head over to her Pinterest boards for some of her best fashion recommendations.    That's it for this week! How can codependency contribute to financial anxiety? What can we do if we have poor boundaries around lending, spending, and giving money to others, especially family? Why our need-to-please can lead us to poor financial decisions and what we can do to stop being such dummies with money--listen now!   In this podcast episode, Marissa speaks with Lindsay Bryan-Podvin, LMSW about codependency, money shame, and financial anxiety. Lindsay discusses ways how our codependency can lead to a) poor boundaries around money, b) difficulty bringing up money with others due to a fear of disapproval, and c) financial anxiety when it comes to spending on ourselves (since we are not allowed to!). Lindsay shares her experiences working with clients on their financial issues and common themes she sees with those struggling to set limits, especially with codependent family relations.    Thanks for listening!    About this episode's guest:  Lindsay Bryan-Podvin is a biracial financial therapist, speaker, and Plutus-nominated author. In her therapy practice, she uses shame-free financial therapy to help people get their minds and money in balance. Additionally, she's expanded her services to help therapists with their money mindset, niching, and authentic marketing. She lives with her partner and their dog in Ann Arbor, Michigan.   Lindsay's information: www.mindmoneybalance.com Instagram @MindMoneyBalance Twitter @MindMNYBalance Free quiz on Financial Archetypes: www.mindmoneybalance.com/podcast   More deets on this episode:   Question one: What is financial therapy? According to Lindsay, it's aim is to help clients “cultivate a healthy relationship with money.” Financial therapy is a more nuanced way to look at money that elicits the feelings and emotions that come up around money.    Question two: How did Lindsay come to be a financial therapist? “I had an interest in money because in my first job post-grad school was paid less than I made waitressing.” Say what? Lindsay discusses her endeavors to find out about money, personal finance “but a lot of it was shame-based.” She wanted to address money without shaming and blaming people which led her to her practice focusing on financial therapy.    Question three: How has Lindsay seen codependency interwoven with money issues? “It's all over the place!” Lindsay most sees it in adult-child relationships as well as between adult children: siblings. For example, a parent who pays their child's rent or a sibling who lends money to their financially irresponsible sibling.    Question four: Scenario--if I'm codependent with my mom, and she supplements my rent, why would I want her to stop doing that? “It's like a failure-to-launch issue. It's great your parents supplement your rent, but will that last forever?” Lindsay poses questions about how sustainable that is to be codependent on others financially...which it's not! “That money comes with strings attached.” Oh, truth!   Question five: How do we name “codependent” financial behavior for what it is? “I start where my client's at.” Lindsay asks them how they feel about the codependent behaviors: “Is this a problem for you?” If it isn't, she doesn't address it. If they identify it as a problem, then she does help them name the “codedendent” behaviors around money for what it is (in place of “generosity”).   Question six: How do we start to create boundaries surrounding our codependent behaviors? “It depends on the culture and context.” Lindsay describes all the timelines, cultural norms, and expectations we have that contribute to what financial independence looks like for every individual. “You really can say no to taking money from your parents.”   Question seven: When her clients start to build a boundary, what is it like for Lindsay to witness their empowerment? “We do feel infantilized when we are supported financially and I hear a lot of language like ‘I finally feel like an adult,' or ‘We finally feel like grown-ups!'” Holding the boundary is terrifying but, over time, it becomes more and more powerful. There is backlash but, most of the time, Lindsay's clients are thrilled to create and maintain their boundaries around money.    Question eight: How do we navigate codependency and money in adult-sibling relationships? “It's often a trauma response from when the siblings depended on themselves from childhood...it can be terrifying to individuate from an adult sibling.” Lindsay normalizes their dependency and also the difficulty in setting boundaries as an adult. Lindsay helps them create a “tiered approach” where they start with lending $300 then go down to $200 then to $100 and so on.    Question nine: What are the costs to remaining financially codependent with family? “The person who gets cut-off blames someone else and it gets misplaced. That can create a ton of tension.” Lindsay aids her clients in making the focus on YOU. “I love you, I'll be there for you, and it's important for me not to fund you financially so you can be an adult too.” Lindsay talks more about how resentment builds since “we hope this is the last time we give” to another...but it's never the last time.   Question ten: What about gift giving and spending to please others? “That comes up when gifts typically were in place of emotional support in childhood.” Lindsay emphasizes how, again, this pattern leads to “strings attached.”    Question eleven: How do codependency and financial anxiety connect? “They can exist indepdent of one another but also overlap. Financial anxiety means experiencing symptoms of anxiety related to money.” Lindsay discusses common triggers and how we can assess which is which. Marissa emphasizes how “if we have others in mind, then it's likely codependent.”   Question twelve: How has Lindsay witnessed codependency in therapists and their finances? “Every single one of my therapist-clients, when we talk about raising fees, they worry their clients will be mad at them.” Lindsay helps them look at the logic and emotion to empower them to make positive changes with their finances!   Link to Linday's quiz on Financial Archetypes: www.mindmoneybalance.com/podcast   www.codependummy.com https://www.instagram.com/therapywithmarissa/

“I’ve got my eye on the future. The future that keeps me going forward is one that is built in a more loving way. A more compassionate world is the one that I keep in my mind’s eye as my guidepost and my true north.” – Sarah Love Politics and spirituality have a long-standing dysfunctional relationship. In this conversation with artist and writer Sarah Love and Lindsay Pera, founder of the Modern Mystic Institute, we begin to dig for the roots of this dysfunction.  We already know the damage: On the right, spirituality has been manipulated and melded with politics and patriotism to oppress people and rigidly control the narrative about values in our country. The consequences are disempowering. On one hand, we’ve got the “love and light” spiritual practitioners who resist analysis and truth-telling about political and social realities. On the other hand, we have political activists who have rejected spirituality because it’s been used to bypass the harsh realities of white supremacy, cis-hetero patriarchy, and capitalism. It’s time to rewrite the narrative and to push back on constructs that narrowly define what it means to love and what it means to be a peacemaker. What if we refuse to be divided by the pundits and politicians who insist that protest, patriotism and action have to look just so? That our protestations must be polite and palatable? What if we get super clear amidst the gaslighting about what loving our country looks like? If we are going to change the trajectory of our country, we’ve got to move forward as whole people, not as people who are compartmentalized, divided and constricted. It’s time to unapologetically reclaim, redefine and sharpen our tools. We can unapologetically infuse love and spirituality with politics and politics with spirituality. The Way Station, with Lindsay, Sarah and I as your guides, will take you deeper into this re-tooling and revision of our narrative.  The Way Station is a place for those working to dismantle systems of oppression can gather, refuel, get tools and get grounded in strategy. Participants will be bringing our political expertise as well as our embodied wisdom and intuitive tools. We will explore the ways in which we can stay active, involved, creative and aligned in this moment of flux and crisis. Expect rigor and magic, love and analysis. No matter the outcome on November 3rd, our work is not over.  We are in it for the long haul of liberation. Please join us. Sarah, Lindsay and I talked about: The ways in which we’ve been socialized to avoid discussing politics and systems of oppression; Why politically progressive people shy away from spirituality; How spirituality and politics, when used together, have historically been weaponized to oppress people; The importance of questioning, pushing back, redefining and expanding our understanding of engaging politically with the tools of faith, peacemaking and love; Our “pivot points”: those moments in our lives where we saw more clearly our role as activists and how we could wield spirituality as a powerful force for change; Our upcoming retreat, Way Station, on October 30th, which is an opportunity to come together to refuel, get tools, and ground strategies for the work ahead; Linday’s and Sarah’s divination on the energies of 2021. About Sarah and Lindsay: Sarah Love McCoy is an artist, writer and teacher working on expanding and awakening the power of love in herself and human hearts the world over. Creator of the “I Stand for Love” Calendar (in its 17th year in print!), Sarah’s best known for her daily nuggets of inspiration. The belief that healing our inner wounds, learning to trust our hearts, moving energy through our hands (while getting out of our heads) and coming together in a community as a path towards a more loving tomorrow is the philosophy behind Sarah’s mission and purpose. A rockstar manager does more than make sure timelines are met and goals accomplished. They know how to get an individual or team to do the best work of their lives while finding satisfaction or meaning in the process. As this week’s guest learned, it’s not about being nice, but instead about how to be authentically yourself while enabling people to accomplish more than they ever thought possible. Lindsay McGregor is the co-author of New York Times bestselling book, Primed to Perform: How to Build the Highest Performing Cultures Through the Science of Total Motivation. She is also the CEO and co-founder of Vega Factor, a startup building technology to help organizations transform their cultures. Previously, Lindsay led projects at McKinsey & Company, working with nonprofits, universities, school systems and Fortune 500 companies.  Lindsay and I talk about being nice and being a leader, how to manage for both tactical performance and adaptive performance, how various motivations can help or hinder performance, and what you can do to increase TOMO - that stands for total motivation. (2) Adaptive performance: creating conditions for and facilitating learning, problem solving, and innovation. To enable adaptive performance, it helps to understand people’s motivations. Not all motivations will inspire people to achieve their best performance, especially when creativity, risk taking and growth are involved. The three positive motivations are: (1) Play: find joy in doing the work itself; (2) Purpose: the work leads to a meaningful, desired outcome; (3) Potential: the work positions you for something desired in the future. The three negative motivations are: (1) Emotional Pressure: do the work out of fear of disappointment or missing out, shame, or guilt; (2) Economic Pressure: the carrot and stick approach to do the work for the reward; (3) Inertia: Do the work because it’s what you’ve

A tribute to my friend, Mark "Maxi" Linday. Mark was a, husband, father and friend/ a Vet with a mission. Mark, followed my lead, and helped inspire others into the hemp industry. He worked to make the planet a better place by introducing hemp plastics into the market. He is best know as the creator of; "The Hemp Pen". A pen to be put into the hands of law makers to sign the new laws around both hemp and medicinal cannabis. He was a kind man that loved to rock and roll, he made hemp guitar picks and used his 3D printer to print the coolest things from hemp plastics. He even printed the First Hemp Plane! He saw hemp to be one of the most sustainable crops on the planet. "In Hemp We Trust" Max- I will miss you and keep spreading the seed my friend. Highest Regards, Derek Cross

WHAT MAKES YOU COME ALIVE? If you've ever had trouble identifying your "thing" then you don't want to miss this episode! Amber& Alanasat down with Lindsay McPhail and the conversation that followed was straight fire. Which is fitting because Lindsay is a self described fire starter. A risk taker. An adventure maker. What we loved to much about this episode (and why we chose it to be a part of our Summer Series) is how real this conversation was. It got emotional at points and funny at other points, but the whole episode is just so, so encouraging for any mama who's trying to uncover and pursue her passions! Linday is passionate about disrupting culture and inviting people to experience God in a real way. She’s been married for 18 years and has 4 boys. Along with her husband, she’s helped bring a children’s charity called Sparrow Clubs to the Rogue Valley in Oregon in 2003, and received a home from ABC’s Extreme Makeover Home edition in 2011. Since then she’s written a few books, run retreats, and started the Barnstormer’s Vintage Fair. She’s currently the editor in chief of the Wild Woman Magazine and runs an outreach called Women's Fight Night. She fully believes that when we know who we are and walk powerfully in what God has given us, NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. We couldn't agree more! This episode was originally #34 but we are re-releasing it as a part of our Summer Series- we hope you enjoy!

I hate hype, I honestly do. Hype only seems to set you up for disappointment. Unbeknownst to me, The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo has quite the following. As a matter of fact, the book and film adaptation are both international blockbusters. If I had known this before I watched the movie, it may have changed the way I viewed it. Instead, I came in knowing very little and found The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo to be a good (not great) mystery story. In today's episode, we've got an in-depth review of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. A movie that was so long that it may have been faster to read the damn book. Also, Chuck has been hitting the streets of Hollywood looking for celebrity dirt and he's back with something he likes to call Chuck's Hollywood Lowdown and other stuff. Oh yes, Chuck covers everything from Lindsay Lohan's latest legal troubles to Mel Gibson's marital issues. Chuck is so passionate about his Hollywood news that I briefly feign interest in the subject. If I had to sum up this episode, I would say that many topics are discussed and it's entertaining.... So take a listen, have a laugh and help spread the word about MONOLITH! DR http://monolithreviews.blogspot.com/
