WWE Unreal Season 2 Review
The years that followed Brian's childhood encounter in Lyerly weren't easy, but they were transformative. His mother beat cancer, earned her degree, and rebuilt their lives piece by piece. Brian found his footing too—working his way up from fast food to restaurant management, discovering he had a gift for handling people and solving problems. But something else was happening beneath the surface. In rural Georgia during the early nineties, Brian came to terms with a truth he'd been running from—he was gay. A relationship with a coworker named Marcus brought clarity, but also consequences. Friends disappeared. Family members stopped calling. The people who stayed proved who really mattered. A career in juvenile corrections followed—seven years working with teenagers society had written off. Then came the badge he'd always wanted, a posting in the remote mountain town of Suches Georgia, and a chance meeting with a sheriff's deputy named Daniel that would change everything. Together, they bought forty acres in the North Carolina mountains backing up to the Pisgah National Forest. And almost immediately, the strangeness began. Howls in the night. Rocks appearing in impossible places. Lights with no source. Something was out there, watching their new home. Brian's unexpected run for Caldwell County Sheriff opened doors he never anticipated—including a partnership with a forest ranger named Zach who'd been quietly documenting the truth for years. Dozens of people had vanished in the Pisgah. The evidence pointed to something the government was desperate to hide. Then a college student named Austin Mercer disappeared, and the trail camera footage he left behind changed everything. Now Brian faces an impossible choice. Men in black suits have delivered a clear message—back off or lose everything. But walking away means more people die in the darkness of those ancient woods.Part Two of Bigfoot Country is the story of a man finding his identity, his purpose, and his courage—and discovering that sometimes the monsters in the forest are easier to face than the ones who want to keep them secret.Get Our FREE NewsletterGet Brian's Books Leave Us A VoicemailVisit Our WebsiteBecome a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/sasquatch-odyssey--4839697/support.
In this episode of the Jason Khalipa Podcast, Jason and MDV dig into what real discipline actually looks like when life gets uncomfortable. The conversation starts with a simple reminder about concessions and quickly moves into something deeper: why you can't be everything to everybody, how discipline shows up in everyday decisions, and what it means to carry yourself as a steady presence in unpredictable situations. They break down a real interaction from Men's Club, talk through sticking to a personal code, and unpack why physical capability matters — not so you can escalate, but so you don't have to. Strength, restraint, awareness, and the responsibility that comes with being capable are all on the table. This episode is about staying grounded, reading situations clearly, and showing up in a way that makes things better — not louder.Timestamps[0:00] Concessions and an important reminder[5:40] Why you can't be everything to everybody[6:45] A real conversation about discipline[10:50] A Men's Club interaction and sticking to the code[18:40] You never know what someone is going through[21:38] Being a commanding and comforting presence[26:10] Supporting law enforcement and staying physically capable[33:00] The importance of de-escalation[35:05] Why absolutes create problems[40:03] Stay tuned and train daily with JasonThanks for tuning in to the Jason Khalipa Podcast!

Daily Halacha Podcast - Daily Halacha By Rabbi Eli J. Mansour
The Aruch Ha'shulhan (Rav Yechiel Michel Epstein, 1829-1908) writes that the text of the Kaddish prayer was likely written by the Ansheh Kenesset Ha'gedola ("Men of the Great Assembly") during the first years of the Second Commonwealth. This prayer expresses the wish that G-d's Name should be glorified and become known throughout the world. The destruction of the first Bet Ha'mikdash marked a grave Hilul Hashem – desecration of G-d's Name – and so when Jews returned to their land and began rebuilding the Temple, the Rabbis composed this special prayer that the glory of G-d's Name should be restored. The Yalkut Yosef (Hebrew edition) notes that this theory might be supported by the Gemara's comment (Berachot 33a) that our prayers and blessings were written by the Ansheh Kenesset Ha'gedola. However, as noted by Rav Yisrael Bitan, the Gemara did not specifically mention Kaddish, and thus this proof is not conclusive. In any event, this is the opinion followed also by Rav Shlomo of Worms (Germany, d. 1096), in his Siddur. He explains that after seventy years in Babylonian exile, the Jews' primary language was Aramaic, instead of Hebrew, and for this reason the Kaddish text was written in Aramaic. A different view is presented by the Orhot Haim (Rav Aharon of Lunel, late 13 th -early 14 th century), who maintained that the Kaddish text was written several generations later, by the Tanna'im. The unique significance of the Kaddish prayer, and its precious value, is clearly expressed in several passages in the Gemara. In Masechet Berachot (3a), the Gemara tells that Rabbi Yossi was once traveling and stopped to pray in one of the ruins of Jerusalem. While he was there, he heard a voice weeping and lamenting, "Woe unto the children because of whose iniquities I destroyed My home, burned My sanctuary, and exiled them among the nations." Afterward, he was informed by Eliyahu the Prophet that this cry is sounded three times each day. However, Eliyahu added, when Jews assemble in synagogues and study halls and pronounce in Kaddish, "Yeheh Shemeh," the Almighty "nods His head," so-to-speak, and regrets having driven the Jewish People into exile. The Kaddish recitation thus arouses G-d's love and compassion, and brings the final redemption closer. Moreover, the Gemara teaches in Masechet Shabbat (119b) that if one answers "Yeheh Shemeh Rabba" with all his might, harsh decrees that were issued against him are rescinded. And the Gemara states in Masechet Sota (49a) that since the destruction of the Bet Ha'mikdash, the world's condition has been increasingly worsening, yet the world survives in the merit of "Kiddusha De'sidra" and the Kaddish recited after Torah study. ("Kiddusha De'sidra" refers to the section known to us as "U'ba Le'sion," when we cite several verses followed by their Aramaic translation.) Rav Amram Gaon (9 th century) tells that Rabbi Yishmael was once shown by an angel the horrific tragedies that were decreed to befall the Jewish People. The angel explained that new decrees are issued against the Jews every day, but these decrees are left unfulfilled in the merit of the Jews' recitation of "Yeheh Shemeh Rabba." There was once a member of our community who suffered a stroke, and the family, who heard of the great power of Kaddish to annul harsh decrees, brought a Minyan to the rehabilitation center. They prayed there with the patient, ensuring to have special Kavana (concentration) when responding "Yeheh Shemeh Rabba." The patient quickly recovered, returned to work, and lived for many years – a clear demonstration of the special power of Kaddish.
Why do we rubberneck accidents and binge true crime? Behavioral scientist Coltan Scrivner explains the surprising psychology behind our morbid curiosity.Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1276What We Discuss with Coltan Scrivner:Morbid curiosity isn't a character flaw — it's an evolutionary feature. The same instinct that makes us rubberneck at accidents helped our ancestors learn about threats without becoming victims themselves. It's your brain's built-in threat-assessment system, gathering intel from a safe distance.Horror movies work because of a specific formula: an overwhelmingly powerful villain versus a vulnerable protagonist. That imbalance — think Pennywise hunting kids or Jason stalking camp counselors — triggers our threat-detection systems in ways action films simply can't replicate.True crime's massive female audience isn't random. Women face threats primarily from people they know, so their curiosity focuses on spotting danger signals and understanding how predators operate. Men, who historically face violence from strangers, gravitate toward watching combat simulations like UFC.Decades of research and millions of dollars confirm: violent video games don't create violent people. The Mortal Kombat moral panic of the nineties produced the ESRB rating system — but the generation raised on those pixelated fatalities turned out just fine.Engaging with scary play — whether horror films, spooky games, or even childhood tag — actually builds emotional resilience. Kids who experience controlled fear learn to regulate anxiety, giving them psychological tools to handle real-world stress as adults. So don't skip the haunted house. And much more...And if you're still game to support us, please leave a review here — even one sentence helps! “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is.” (Mark 13:33 NKJV) Prayer is one of the most powerful and misunderstood tools available to God’s people. Many people confuse it with normal conversation or the daily interactions they have with other people. So, they ask skeptical questions like these: If God knows what we need before we ask Him, why should we even bother to ask? If God is going to do what He wants to do, and He already knows what He’s going to do, what difference does prayer make? The Bible offers several compelling reasons for God’s people to pray. Let’s look at four of them. First, we should pray because Jesus told us to. Do we need a better reason than that? Jesus said, “Men always ought to pray and not lose heart” (Luke 18:1 NKJV). Not to mention the blessings of watching our prayers get answered, whether that involves the salvation of a loved one, a divine healing, or a wonderful provision. If Jesus says we should do it, then let’s do it. Jesus led by example in this area. He prayed frequently. A significant percentage of the red letters in the Bible are words of prayer. Jesus’ prayerful connection with His heavenly Father was essential to His earthly ministry. Second, we should pray because it’s God’s appointed way for us to obtain things. God works in our lives through prayer. James 4:2 tells us, “You do not have because you do not ask” (NKJV). This means there may be things God wants to give to us that are not yet ours because we haven’t specifically asked. That’s not to suggest that God is a cosmic genie, waiting to grant our every wish. The key to praying effectively is to discover what God’s will is and then prioritize it in your life. When your desires align with God’s will, amazing things will result from your prayers. Third, we should pray because through prayer, we overcome our anxiety and worry. The Bible says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6 NKJV). When we are tempted to worry, we should pray instead. Prayer isn’t a mantra or a string of empty words to repeat to distract our attention from the things that cause us anxiety or worry. Prayer is the act of staring down those things, acknowledging them and their impact on us, and then handing them off to God, who is powerful and loving enough to take care of them for us. Fourth, prayer is one of the ways we make ourselves ready for Christ’s return. Jesus said, “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is” (Mark 13:33 NKJV). For many believers, Jesus’ return is a source of anxiety. The apocalyptic descriptions in Scripture paint a stark picture. For others, Jesus’ return is a source of impatience. They can’t wait. Prayer addresses both issues. It helps believers get in the proper mindset regarding Jesus’ return. These aren’t the only reasons to pray. But they are compelling reasons to pray. Why not put them into practice today? Reflection question: Why do you pray? Can you really get pregnant after menopause? Why do celebrities seem to defy biology when it comes to age and fertility? And just because pregnancy is possible at later ages, is it actually safe? In this episode of Brave & Curious, Dr. Lora Shahine explores the questions so many people are quietly asking as they navigate fertility, aging, and family-building decisions. Dr. Shahine breaks down what the science actually says about age and fertility, including why it becomes harder to conceive with age, how eggs and sperm age differently, and what role options like IVF, egg freezing, and donor eggs play. She also reviews headline-making cases of pregnancy at advanced reproductive age and explains why these headlines, while eye-catching, don't always tell the full medical story. The BanterMark Pascal and Francis Schott return to the restaurant floor with stories about hospitality as a lifelong condition—why you never stop working the room, why saying “goodnight” at lunch still feels natural, and how unusual guests and moments are part of the job. The Guys share a truly unsettling encounter with a guest who can't eat meat and reflect on why restaurant life is a magnet for stories you can't make up.The ConversationThe Guys sit down with Noah Rothbaum, spirits writer and author of The Whiskey Bible, to talk about how whiskey's real history has been buried under decades of marketing and myth. Noah explains his goal of writing a book that welcomes casual drinkers while still rewarding experts—and why deep research often reveals stories far better than the legends. They explore how whiskey nearly vanished in the 1970s, how the modern revival took shape, and why understanding the backstory makes every drink more meaningful. The Inside TrackThis episode covers the turning points that shaped today's whiskey world, including:Booker Noe and Elmer T. What do you do when you're in “flood season”, when life feels fast, heavy, and uncertain? In this conversation, Pastor Chris Kouba and Josh Thomas dig into Joshua 4 and the powerful moment when God tells Israel to build memorials after crossing the Jordan River—one on the riverbank and one set in the river. Why two? Because we forget. And when we forget where we've been, we lose confidence about where we're going. They talk about practical ways to remember and recount God's faithfulness like journaling, physical reminders, and intentionally telling the “God stories” to your kids, your wife, your friends, and the people you lead. If you're in the middle of something right now, this one is for you: God is faithful at the finish line and He's faithful in the middle too!To find out more about Pastor Chris, follow him on all the social platforms (@ckouba) and to connect with the ministry of United City visit https://unitedcity.church.Show NotesFollow on Instagram: @stepup.podcastFollow United City: @untdcitychurchConnect with Pastor Chris: http://chriskouba.comMore About United City: https://unitedcity.church/

Welcome to Episode 164 of Wrestling Tonight, powered by G FUEL and Dick Lazers. Use code TAVERN for 20 percent off. Acefield Retro and Chad are back, and this week is built around the road to Royal Rumble: Riyadh, while also zooming out to examine how WWE, AEW, TNA, AAA, NJPW, Stardom — and the global wrestling economy itself — are all adjusting direction at the same time. We open with a full preview of Royal Rumble: Riyadh, taking place January 31, 2026 at the King Abdullah Financial District as part of Riyadh Season. This marks the first traditional Royal Rumble ever held outside North America, the first Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia, and the first of WWE's "Big Five" events to take place in the Kingdom. We break down why this Rumble matters more than usual, with both the men's and women's winners earning world championship matches at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, the event's return to its traditional January slot, and the shift in distribution with ESPN streaming the Rumble in the U.S. for the first time while Netflix carries most international markets. From there, we dig into what's already locked in for Riyadh: the Men's and Women's Royal Rumble matches, Drew McIntyre defending the Undisputed WWE Championship against the winner of the Saturday Night's Main Event four-way, and Gunther vs. AJ Styles in a career-threatening match where Styles must retire if he loses. We also run through the early betting odds, where Roman Reigns and Bron Breakker sit at the top of the board, followed by Sami Zayn, Gunther, and Cody Rhodes, and discuss what those numbers tell us about WWE's short-term and long-term thinking. We cover the growing list of announced entrants on both the men's and women's sides and how the field is already beginning to take shape. We then pivot into Saturday Night's Main Event fallout from Montreal, breaking down Cody Rhodes vs. Jacob Fatu, AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura, the Women's Tag Team Championship defense with Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY against Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez, and the massive four-way number one contender's match featuring Damian Priest, Randy Orton, Sami Zayn, and Trick Williams, with the winner stepping directly into McIntyre's title picture at the Royal Rumble. From there, we widen the lens to WrestleMania season planning. We discuss WWE's current reluctance to turn Cody Rhodes heel, how WrestleMania 42 plans remain fluid, and why AJ Lee vs. Becky Lynch is shaping up as one of the most locked-in matches on the card. We also look ahead to WrestleMania 43 in Saudi Arabia, with The Rock openly addressing his excitement for the event and internal speculation swirling about possible appearances from Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin as WWE enters its busiest stretch of the year. We then shift fully into the global business of wrestling, as Dave Meltzer reports that Místico has headlined 13 consecutive sellouts at Arena Mexico in 2026, a venue that holds approximately 16,000 fans. Meltzer called the run unprecedented, noting that sustained, high-frequency sellouts in the same building represent a business pattern rarely seen in wrestling history. We contextualize the streak against past drawing eras, the legacy of El Santo, and why comparisons to Japan or North American touring models often miss the structural realities of how wrestling draws actually function. We also discuss the growing push for Místico to capture a major championship currently held by talent from All Elite Wrestling, and what that would signal about CMLL's place in the current power structure. Outside WWE, AEW remains in a moment of transition. We break down Powerhouse Hobbs officially signing with WWE, the company parting ways with longtime executive Nik Sobic, and what those exits say about AEW's current phase. We also cover Will Ospreay's next step toward a return as he undergoes a medical evaluation, Hikaru Shida being backstage in Orlando as she edges closer to U.S. competition, and clarity emerging on AEW's streaming future as reports indicate the promotion is expected to remain aligned with Warner-backed platforms rather than moving to Netflix. TNA continues to operate within a shared ecosystem, as we revisit the fallout from Genesis and Impact's AMC debut amid lingering visa issues, the accidental TNA+ audio leak revealing No Surrender plans, Trey Miguel's emotional return, and the Knockouts Tag Team picture coming into focus with ZaRuca crowned as new number one contenders. We also hit international headlines, including AAA's FOX era officially beginning, Dominik Mysterio's accidental AEW belt graphic during a promo, El Hijo del Vikingo emerging as number one contender for the Mega Championship, NJPW seeing TMDK lose the NEVER Six-Man titles at Korakuen Hall, and Stardom keeping its options open following an alleged intellectual property violation involving trading cards. Episode 164 is a full-scale snapshot of the wrestling industry at a turning point — Royal Rumble season underway, WrestleMania plans coming into focus, media rights shifting, talent moving, and promotions everywhere adjusting direction rather than delivering final outcomes as the calendar heats up.

The Dad Edge Podcast (formerly The Good Dad Project Podcast)
In this solo episode, I pull back the curtain on everything happening inside the Dad Edge ecosystem as we close out January and head into February. If your marriage feels disconnected, your health slipped during the holidays, or you've been looking for real skills—not motivation—this episode lays out exactly what's available and how to plug in. I share my own story of marriage struggle, why only a small percentage of couples truly feel connected, and how becoming a student of marriage completely changed the trajectory of my relationship. From February's marriage-focused tactical agenda inside the Dad Edge Alliance, to the 1st Phorm 8-week challenge, to major announcements around preview calls and the Men's Forge event, this episode is about clarity, opportunity, and intentional action for men who want their marriage and leadership to look different in 2026. Timeline Summary: [0:00] Keeping the blooper and why imperfection matters in fatherhood [1:35] Larry reflects on the first 10–12 years of marriage struggles [2:27] When marriage turns into co-parenting and roommate syndrome [3:07] Becoming a student of marriage and why things finally changed [3:27] Only 12% of marriages report deep connection [3:52] Introducing the Dad Edge ecosystem [4:11] Overview of the Dad Edge Alliance [4:50] February tactical agenda inside the Alliance [5:09] Why February always focuses on marriage skills [5:28] Week 1: Attraction, identity, and masculine presence [6:11] Week 2: Leading without chasing or needy energy [6:35] Week 3: Boundaries that create desire [6:55] Week 4: Emotional safety and attraction [7:39] Why February is the best month to join the Alliance [8:01] Roommates to Soulmates cohort selling out quickly [8:41] Holiday weight gain and the need for a physical reset [9:01] 1st Phorm Dad Edge 8-week challenge overview [9:42] Challenge dates and community support [10:19] January Dad Edge 1st Phorm Dad of the Month recognition [11:01] Alliance preview call announcement [11:24] What men will learn on the preview call [12:17] Moving away from social media noise [14:06] Men's Forge 2026 announcement [14:51] Why this event is different [15:41] Where to find all links and next steps [16:04] Gratitude and closing encouragement Five Key Takeaways Most men were never taught how to lead a marriage, which is why skill-building—not willpower—creates change. Attraction in marriage evolves, and men must adapt leadership, presence, and identity. Boundaries and emotional safety create desire, not chasing or people-pleasing. Physical health fuels confidence and leadership, especially inside marriage. Community accelerates growth, when men commit to accountability and action. Belly fat changes how your heart is built and works, even when your weight and body mass index (BMI) appear normal Men face earlier and more severe heart damage because they store more fat deep in the abdomen, which increases pressure on the lungs and forces the heart to work harder with every breath Standard scales miss this risk, but simple waist measurements reveal hidden stress on your heart long before symptoms appear Beer bellies form when cellular energy fails, pushing fuel into fat storage instead of burning it for daily function Restoring metabolism through food choices, gut repair, and daily movement reduces belly fat and protects heart structure over time

I sit down with Mark Walsh for a wide-ranging and unfiltered conversation about the collapse of meaning in modern life and how it is impacting men in particular. We explore why young men feel lost, why modern psychology and culture are failing them, and what it actually takes to stay grounded in an increasingly chaotic world. We talk about masculinity, embodiment, faith, community, and why comfort-driven modernity is producing anxiety rather than fulfillment. This is a challenging conversation that does not offer platitudes, but it does offer a path forwardSHOW HIGHLIGHTS00:00 - The Death Cult of Modernity01:21 - What Is Really Happening to Young Men06:15 - Meaning, God, and the Collapse of Culture10:28 - Why Modern Life Feels Insane16:10 - The Gender Divide and Radicalization23:47 - Why Men Feel Politically Homeless31:30 - Joker Energy and Cultural Breakdown36:27 - The Four Reconnections Men Need44:16 - Feminism as Ersatz Religion48:20 - What Modern Psychology Gets Wrong54:22 - How Men Become Embodied Again***Tired of feeling like you're never enough? In this powerful, unfiltered conversation, Coach Frank Rich sits down with Keith Yackey, founder of The Married Game, to unpack the real reasons intimacy, attraction, and connection fade inside modern marriages — and how men can take ownership, rebuild polarity, and transform their identity from the inside out. Keith shares his personal story of losing his marriage despite financial success, confronting painful truths about his own passivity, and discovering that if he was the problem, he could also become the solution. Together, Frank and Keith explore masculinity, leadership, emotional safety, discipline, trust, self-respect, and why becoming the strongest version of yourself is the foundation for a thriving relationship. This is not a "relationship advice" episode. It's a wake-up call for men who are ready to stop blaming, stop hiding, and start becoming the man they were created to be. What You'll Learn in This Episode Why most men silently feel disconnected from their wife — and why shame keeps them stuck The hard truth about attraction: why it fades and how it's rebuilt How passivity, people-pleasing, and validation-seeking kill polarity in marriage Why doing what you say you'll do builds trust — and trust fuels desire The connection between identity, discipline, and intimacy How porn, secrecy, and self-betrayal erode masculine presence Why real transformation must be done for yourself, not for approval The difference between chasing validation and embodying leadership How men can begin rebuilding confidence, playfulness, and connection What it truly means to raise your standards and live congruently When a man has cleaned up his side of the street — and what happens next How honesty about desire, truth, and self-respect leads to freedom Key Takeaways from the Episode If you're the problem, you can also be the solution. Ownership creates hope. Attraction isn't negotiated — it's embodied. Trust is built by doing what you say you'll do, consistently. Men must stop living for validation and start living by standards. Identity transformation changes everything — body, mindset, marriage, purpose. Safety fuels desire. Emotional stability creates polarity. Self-discipline builds self-trust, and self-trust builds masculine presence. You don't change to save your marriage. You change because that's who you are. The healthiest relationships are chosen, not negotiated. Honesty about what you truly want is the starting point of transformation. About Keith Yackey Keith Yackey is the founder of The Married Game, a coaching company dedicated to helping men rebuild attraction, intimacy, and polarity in their marriages by becoming the strongest version of themselves. His work focuses on masculine identity, leadership, emotional mastery, and self-respect as the foundation for connection and desire. After nearly losing his own marriage despite outward success, Keith committed himself to understanding attraction dynamics, masculine embodiment, and relational polarity. Today, he coaches men around the world through programs, books, and media that challenge men to confront uncomfortable truths and rise to higher standards in every area of life. Keith is also the host of The Married Game Podcast, where he explores marriage, masculinity, sexuality, and personal responsibility with raw honesty and depth. What does it actually mean to live The Impossible Life? In this episode, Garrett Unclebach and Nick Surface break down the vision behind the podcast and the deeper meaning of living a life that looks “impossible” to the world but is fully possible with God.You'll hear the origin story of the podcast, why “possible” became the foundation, and how the Impossible Life isn't about self-help—it's about full surrender, biblical transformation, and becoming a living demonstration of what Christianity actually looks like in real life.Garrett and Nick unpack 5 core pillars of the Impossible Life: submission to God, wanting greatness (God's definition), identity, belief, and principles—and how each one builds a man who is resilient, disciplined, purpose-driven, and fully aligned with God's plan. It's Monday, January 26th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com. I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus The Iranian protests are putting Christians at greater risk The Islamic Republic of Iran is hostile to protestors and Christians alike. Lana Silk of the Christian organization Transform Iran said, “Police are indiscriminately shooting into the crowds. The people try to fight back, but they are unarmed and almost entirely defenseless.” She is certain that more than 12,000 Iranians have been killed, and quite possibly 30,000 or more, reports International Christian Concern. She said, “The streets are now being patrolled by tanks and aggressive armed security forces. People are being rounded up, beaten, imprisoned, and killed. Men, women, and children, it doesn't matter.” Anyone who dares to go outside is in danger. Though Iran's Islamic regime, where 95% of the population is Muslim, treats almost none of its people well, it tends to be especially ruthless with its Christian minority. Iran is currently ranked as the 10th-most oppressive country for Christians. The Iranian government makes no secret about its attitude toward Christianity. Such worship in the country's main language -- Persian, also known as Farsi -- is essentially outlawed, as is any Christian literature written in that language. Matthew 5:10 says, “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven.” Vice President Vance announces expansion of Mexico City Policy Appearing at the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Friday, Vice President J.D. Vance spoke up for life, reports LifeNews.com. VANCE: “With the Dobbs decision, what the President did, what the Supreme Court did, was put a definitive end to the tyranny of judicial rule on the question of human life. He shattered a 50-year culture of disposability, one that treated human life as expendable the moment that it became inconvenient. And he empowered our nation and our movement to build a culture of life from the grassroots up.” Vice President Vance outlined some of the Trump administration's pro-life accomplishments. VANCE: “We started by undoing the evils we saw under the previous administration, like, for example, throwing priests and grandmothers in prison for praying outside a[n abortion] clinic. That's over; we stopped it. (cheers) “Where the previous administration mandated taxpayer funding for abortions, including travel costs across the entire government, this administration ended it. (cheers) We have expanded conscience protections for health care workers and defended faith based foster care and adoption. “This administration launched fraud investigations into Planned Parenthood affiliates (cheers) for millions of dollars in [Paycheck Protection Program] loans that were unlawfully received and unlawfully forgiven by the Biden administration. You should not be able to commit fraud and use taxpayer money for abortion. It's that simple! (cheers) “At many of our departments, we've reinstated a ban on the use of fetal tissue in federal research. That's another big one, and this is something we're so proud of. We're returning accountability to our foreign policy as well. “Under Joe Biden, it was the policy of the United States to export abortion and radical gender ideology all around the world. That is what they did with your tax money. (boos) They would relentlessly bully developing countries into parroting their far left views. But under President Trump's leadership, and with our great Secretary of State, we believe that every country in the world has the duty to protect life.” And Vice President Vance cited an expansion of the pro-life Mexico City policy. VANCE: “Today, our administration is proud to announce a historic expansion of the Mexico City policy. We're going to start blocking every international [non-governmental organization] that performs or promotes abortion abroad from receiving $1 of U.S. money. (cheers) We're expanding this policy to protect life, to combat DEI, and the radical gender ideologies that prey on our children. “The rule will now cover every non-military foreign assistance that America sends. All in all, we have expanded the Mexico City policy about three times as big as it was before. And we're proud of it because we believe in fighting for life.” Proverbs 31:8 says, “Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves.” ICE shot and killed man in Minneapolis Federal agents shot and killed a 37-year-old man in Minneapolis on Saturday morning, less than three weeks after an ICE agent fatally shot Renee Good, amid an ongoing surge in immigration enforcement action across the city, reports CBS News. Alex Pretti, an ICU nurse who worked at the Minneapolis Veterans Administration hospital, was identified as the man killed by a Border Patrol agent. CBS News in Minneapolis reported, “Videos from the scene show that Pretti was holding a cellphone, not a gun, when he was shot.” However, ICE Commander Gregory Bovino said the agent acted in self-defense after attempting to disarm Pretti. Listen. BOVINO: “An individual approached us Border Patrol agents with a nine millimeter, semi-automatic handgun. The agents attempted to disarm the individual, but he violently resisted. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, a Border Patrol agent fired defensive shots. “Medics on the scene immediately delivered medical aid to the subject, but the subject was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect also had two loaded magazines and no accessible ID. “This looks like a situation where an individual wanted to do maximum damage and massacre law enforcement. Then, about 200 rioters arrived at the scene and began to obstruct and assault law enforcement.” That's when an armored ICE vehicle was pelted by stones by angry Leftists. (audio from the streets of Minneapolis) Trump sues JPMorgan Chase for $5 billion over 'political' debanking And finally, President Donald Trump is suing the JPMorgan Chase bank and its CEO Jamie Dimon in a $5 billion lawsuit filed last Thursday, accusing the financial institution of debanking Trump for political reasons, reports Fox Business. The president's attorney, Alejandro Brito, filed the lawsuit Thursday morning in Florida state court in Miami on behalf of the president and several of his hospitality companies. Brito quoted JPMorgan's code of conduct, which states that the bank operates "with the highest level of integrity and ethical conduct." The Trump lawsuit asserts, "Despite claiming to hold these principles dear, [J.P. Morgan Chase violated them by unilaterally—and without warning or remedy—terminating several of [the] Plaintiff's bank accounts." This is not the first time. Sam Brownback, Trump's Ambassador for Religious Freedom, wrote a New York Post column last year in which he said, “If you've ever had a rug pulled out from under you, then you know how it feels to suddenly lose access to your own bank account. That's what happened to me in 2022, when JPMorgan Chase, America's largest bank, abruptly canceled our newly opened account for the National Committee for Religious Freedom. “[We] launched a national campaign to collect and tell the stories of those who, like us, had been canceled or punished by their banks, payment processors or even insurance companies. We found that most debanking victims have two things in common: Their finances are in order, and they're conservative or religious.” Proverbs 11:3 says, “The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity." Men flytande, väldigt bra.
Summary: In this first episode of the year, the guys crack open the idea of what it means to be new—not just with gym memberships and resolutions, but deep in the rewiring of old patterns, assumptions, and emotional blind spots. Dan kicks things off by admitting his old “default setting” was to walk in the door wondering what he'd done wrong—proof that sometimes the battlefield is the hallway between the garage and the living room. From there, Jeremy confesses his own default: being right about everything. But a surprising comment from his son at a hockey game (“There's so much more going on than what's on TV”) hits him like a puck to the head and opens up a whole new way of seeing relationships. Kevin brings in the pastor's line, “Do you want to be right, or do you want to win?”—and discovers that relational victory doesn't always mean keeping score. Dan, meanwhile, reflects on curiosity as an antidote to assumption, while Jeff learns that geology may rock, but people matter more. Between dad jokes about rock stars, cul-de-sacs, and Fraggle Rock sing-alongs, the group lands somewhere between reflection and revelation: Becoming aware of your patterns.Accepting feedback without self-defense.Taking action toward connection, not correction. By the end, they circle back to hope. If yesterday was about living on autopilot, this year is about choosing manual drive. “Participating in my own discovery,” Dan quips, “gives me the opportunity to participate in my own recovery.” So whether you're trying to read a face, repair a marriage, or just survive mornings before coffee, this conversation reminds you—every default can be rewritten. Pull Quotes “There's so much more going on than what's on the screen.”“Do you want to be right, or do you want to win?”“Participating in my own discovery gives me the opportunity to participate in my own recovery.” #justtheguys #danholmes #actuallyautistic #neurodiversecoupletips #neurodiverse men
Catherine, David and Matt review a day which promised much only to deliver little in the way of drama, but did feature several incredible performances from some of the sport's biggest names and rising stars. Part one - Men's results. We start with the news of Jakub Mensik's withdrawal and how much it could help Novak Djokovic, before moving on to the day's matches which saw standout performances from Carlos Alcaraz, Alex de Minaur and Learner Tien. Can De Minaur trouble Alcaraz? And how much will Tien be at a disadvantage against Alexander Zverev as a lefty? Part two (37:53) - Women's results. We cover Aryna Sabalenka finding top gear to beat a battling Victoria Mboko, Coco Gauff continuing her dominance over Karolina Muchova in the day's best match, Elina Svitolina keeping up her remarkable record against Russians by beating Mirra Andreeva, and an outstanding performance by teenager Iva Jovic to dismiss Yulia Putintseva. Around the Big Ten with Jamie Mac Starts at 0:51 Indiana Football won a natty. We say again: Indiana Football won. A natty. The Ohio State fans are crying Signs, it's great! Putting this in context because there hasn't been a more surprising national champion in any sport? Maybe Leicester but IU had the worst W% historically of any champion. Arc of college football is the big schools consolidate their chances of winning—last time a new school entered the ring it was Florida, which represented a demographic shift. What does this mean? Not a secret sauce but IU built similarly to 2023 Michigan: a base of players who played together a long time and some elite pieces added. They get better ROI by ignoring HS recruiting, put a lot of time and money into scouting. Similarity to Dusty May in that Cig knows what he needs and scouts the hell out of the rest of the sport. [The rest of the writeup and the player after THE JUMP] 2. Hot Takes and Men's Basketball vs Ohio State Starts at 27:20 Takes hotter than it's not outside. OSU game was annoyingly close. At one point Michigan was 2/16 from three and under 50% from the charity stripe. Biggest story of the game is the way Michigan held Bruce Thornton in check—the one hedge to center court that Mara got called for a foul was an awful call, but a proof of concept for how they defended OSU, which was to not give Thornton any space. Great Crisler crowd kept getting into highs and then a low-percentage event would derail, like their 17%-shooting big Christoph Tilly making a pair of threes (one a bank), 24%-shooting Amare Bynum making a deep contested jumper, and Mobley getting a bank three as shot clock is dying. Missed front ends made FT shooting feel extra annoying, somehow righted in the 2nd half. Big part of that was 21 good minutes from Trey McKenney. Liked Cason and McKenney more than Cadeau in this one: OSU has a 7'0" center and a 7'2" center but both of them are glued to the floor, which favors YOLO players. Annoying turnovers trying to figure out their zone. 3. Men's Basketball vs Indiana and a Nebraska Preview Starts at 54:03 Less annoying game, as Indiana was without Tayton Conerway for all but two minutes, and nobody else has the ability to get to the rim. IU couldn't even get the ball inside the three-point line. They finished 11/34 (32%) from three and that was because they made twice as many as they should have. IU only got five ORebs as they abandoned the glass to stop Michigan's transition game but terrible Nick Dorn shots that went off the back iron were their best way of getting the ball in the paint. Final score doesn't reflect the game because once Michigan got up 20-5 they put it in cruise control—this time it wasn't LJ Cason on the one drive for a layup. Will Tschetter's defense on Tucker DeVries was also a major factor. Nebrasketball is truly good. Very well-coached team, has a good system that turns everybody into Nebraska: 11th in taking threes, 6th in opponent 3PA/FGA. Have to slow down the game to protect stretch C Rienk Mask, who's the key to that offense. Might be without small four Braden Frager and been without SG Connor Essegian most of the year so there's a 23% shooting big in Berke "the Turk" Buyuktuncel that you can hide Mara on. The problem with that is it takes Mara out of the paint so you can't get away with playing as aggressively on the perimeter. Think we saw the prototype for how they want to play against Nebraska in that Oregon game. Might be able to do what Illinois did, was to take shots but then crash the glass because they don't have a lot of size. 4. Women's Basketball wsg Ira Weintraub Starts at 1:15:12 Time to get to know the best women's team in school history. Three losses were all similar: got way behind in the 1st quarter, fought their way back, came up short. Defense is fantastic, play the full court and cause a lot of turnovers which creates offensive opportunities. Get bogged down a bit in the half court and struggle to make their FTs. WBB officiating is beyond atrocious. Washington loss was a schedule thing after 2OT late game vs Oregon, but UConn and Vandy losses showed they can play with the elites and just need one more big basket from the super sophs. Hockeybear is blogging the team and making Team Sheets (key). It's not so easy is it? Super sophs: Holloway runs the offense and sets the defensive tone, Olson is a bucket, Swordsy is hero, and then they're getting a year from a growing Delfosse and UCLA transfer Dudley. Mostly a seven-woman rotation with Sofilkanich giving them some size inside, BQD a nightmare of a defensive pest, and then growth from Crockett who gives them some more size when they need it. Can they compete with the ELITE-elites? Nobody's unbeatable this year; Michigan is a solid two-seed, feel like floor is Sweet 16, has the make of a team that ends up losing a Final Four game en route to a big run next year. What if most sexual shame isn't personal failure—but bad information? In this episode, Dr. John talks with Dr. Justin Garcia, Executive Director of the Kinsey Institute, about what the science actually says about desire, intimacy, fidelity, and pair-bonding. They unpack why “normal” is a misleading idea in sex, why many couples are touch-deprived, and how stress and low-level threat responses can shut down connection and arousal. You'll also hear surprising research on men and heartbreak, what people truly want in long-term partners and what might be behind the so-called “sex recession.” The throughline: curiosity is a powerful aphrodisiac—and you're not broken, you're under-informed.Key topics covered (bullets): “Am I normal?” why the data says variation is the norm The “touch crisis” and why many partners feel touch-starved Men, romance, and why breakups can hit men harder Trust, kindness, and “self-expansion” as core mate preferences Stress, trauma, and the nervous system's impact on desire The sex recession: is it real, is it bad, and what might be causing it Sexual literacy: why better information improves connection and consent Want To Learn More About Relational Happiness?
