Kyle and Greg sit down with WSSBC Membership Chair and Director, Peter Gutsche. Affectionally know as "Gooch" Peter has been a heavy lifter on our team and spends his falls guiding for Arctic Red River Outfitters and Arcadia Outfitting.Pete gets after it in the outdoors and spends weeks on end at his cabin in remote country living the good life. He is raising his family with that connection to the outdoors and you often see him with the whole family stalking BC's game. This past fall Pete had a close call with a Grizzly Bear staking claim on one of Peter's clients harvests. Fast thinking and that survival mentality resulted in all humans walking away with nothing but shaken nerves and a story of a lifetime. Peter was literally within feet of ending up on the receiving end of a Grizzly collision which would have ended poorly for all parties. Quick thinking and a calm cool disposition likely saved Peter and his clients lives. We dive deep into guiding in the Territories, hunting, whisky, a passion for conservation and of course our upcoming Mountain Hunting Expo and Salute to Conservation.Come visit with Peter and the WSSBC team at our Salute to Conservation and Mountain Hunting Expo. In this conversation, Max Gutsche, co-founder of Unifier, a content scaling platform, discusses how his platform uses AI to scale already existing content into different formats, providing a highly efficient way to repurpose knowledge. Contrary to generic AI generators, Max emphasizes the importance of starting with unique and creative knowledge and then using AI tools to spread it across different formats. He notes that investing huge amounts into unproven innovations often leads to failure, drawing an analogy with restaurants that test, refine, and settle on a successful menu. Max also stresses the importance of consistency, failure absorption capacity, and recording unique thoughts for content generation in the ever-evolving AI and marketing landscape. The discussion also covers potential legal issues with AI-generated content and predictions about the use of AI in producing web content. About Maximilian Gutsche I've built, failed and iterated over 9 products before making Unifire.ai work. My co-founder and I tried all kinds of business models and technologies from AI to crypto. This gives me a deep understanding of what potentially works and what doesn't. I oppose the bullshit corporate speech and hype cycles, that praise the next big thing. Think Metaverse, NFTs or drone highways.
See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

We've reached a point in time when everyone wants innovation, but most people don't know how to actually attain it. It's not easy, which is why there are so many failed brands and companies. In our era of AI, rapid change, disruption, and possibility, there are so many great opportunities within our grasp. However, smart, successful people consistently miss out. Their capabilities are limited by seven traps, and they rely on and repeat past decisions. They miss out on the potential of what could have been. If we could remove these traps, what could we accomplish? How much more successful could we be? Today's book teaches us how to think disruptively, providing specific steps to create real innovation and change. It combines our guests high energy provocative thinking with tactics that have been battle tested through projects with leading innovators like Disney, Starbucks, Amex, IBM, Adidas, Google, and NASA. In this episode, I talk to fellow German and nomad Luise Gutsche about the importance of a global (online?) support system, managing family life on various continents, the benefits of boarding school, and what it's like to be stranded in your home country when you didn't expect to be there that long. Luise is a passionate photographer, you can find her here. Her blog, Shanghai Calling (it's in German), is a treasure trove of topics. I highly recommend it! She's happy to connect with you, if you have any questions on expat life, boarding schools, etc., or just want to make contact. Of course, she's on Instagram too. Enjoy!Luise Gutsche

He's also a pretty amazing speaker and overall nice guy. Jeremy believes that there is a discipline and proven track to finding, discovering and using big ideas. That's what we're going to discuss. The city of Iowa City’s website promotes its “small-town hospitality” and its focus on “culture.” But a closer look at Iowa City, home to 70,000 and the University of Iowa, reveals a community trying to redefine itself as urban African-Americans relocate to the area. This is the focus of Robert E. “Ted” Gutsche‘s book, A Transplanted Chicago: Race, Place and the Press in Iowa City (McFarland, 2014). In it, he takes on the “Southeast Side” and all its meanings. “Southeast Side” has become a coded term by local press to describe an area of Iowa City it associates with crime and unruliness, sometimes even using the term when the actual crime does not occur on the Southeast Side. “Home to a mixture of white townies and new, black arrivals from Chicago, St. Louis, and other metro regions in the Upper Midwest,” Gutsche writes, “the Southeast Side is known–mythically–as a bastion of affordable housing, black families, and stories of devious behavior.” Through original interviews and research, Gutsche, a former reporter, shows just how wrong the press has it about Iowa City’s Southeast Side.
