As a special treat this week, we've delved into our collections to give you some deep cuts from our favourites – things like Queen, Bowie, Joe Cocker, Nick Cave and TISM. We think you'll love them, In Rock News, Jeff delves into songs that turn 60 on 2025, looks at Sunday Lunch with Toyah and Robert Fripp, and looks at Yachtley Crew, a strange phenomenon from California. Our Album You Must Hear Before You Die this week is Raw Power (1973) by Iggy and the Stooges. The lo-fi production on this highly influential album is the source of much tension between Bowie and Iggy, much of it not fair. We liked it! Enjoy. This week we talk Old School. A movie that perfectly encapsulates the changing attitudes in comedy and America at the turn of the millenium. One of the birth of the frat-pack movies, this film shows us the gen-x midlife crisis and is really a fantasy film for that demographic. It was hugely influential. We were both college studends at the time this movie came out and we saw it's influence and reach first hand. Everyone loved it. It was monumental. but what does it say? It's a fantasy in that there are almost no consequences of note for the main characters and any one opposed to them is punished severely. Haha, funny, until people think that's how life should be!This movie was the beginning of an era of Bro-Comedy and the careers of all of it's leads. But what does it actually say about society? Listen on to see what we think.Support the showhttps://www.instagram.com/black_guys_on_white_movieshttps://www.youtube.com/blackguysonwhitemovieshttps://www.teepublic.com/t-shirt/65911790-black-guys-on-white-movies-podcast?store_id=3540214

Motos and Friends is powered by the Yamaha R7. The R7 is part of Yamaha's R World, and the R7 is your gateway to a new generation of supersport machine. In our first segment, Editor Don Williams checks out the new Honda Rebel 1100T with the DCT gearbox. This is a different kind of cruiser; it certainly has some sportiness to it, and with a nod to touring with small bags and a fairing, it's easily capable of day-long rides too. In our second segment, Associate Editor Teejay Adams talks to A-list Hollywood stuntman, Joe Bucaro. Joe has spent nearly 40 years riding and crashing motorcycles; drifting and crashing cars, and stage-fighting as the stunt double for many of your favorite action stars. Remember the Harley jump by Schwarznegger in Terminator 2? Yep, that's him. Joe has also doubled extensively for Gerard Butler in most of his movies; Jason Mamoa in the upcoming ‘Fast and Furious 10'; and also for stars such as Chris Pratt, Vince Vaughan, Steven Seagal and countless others. In Butler's latest movie ‘The Plane' Joe tells us about a two-and-a-half minute fight sequence that they managed to shoot in just one, complete take. Joe's fearlessness and incredible talents on a motorcycle, in a car, on a horse, and of course his fighting skills, have kept him kinda safe over the years, and still doing what he loves. This chat is a fascinating and entertaining peek behind the curtain into Hollywood and the fun of making movies. So, from all of us here at Motos and Friends—we hope you enjoy this episode! On the Second Sunday of Advent, Fr. Eric speaks about St. John the Baptist's refusal to baptize the Pharisees and the Sadducees at the River Jordan (Mt 3:1-12) in discussing the need to move beyond a sense of mere duty and obligation to embrace fully the invitation to love God and others. As a key example, Fr. Eric refers to the film "The Break-Up" (2006) starring Vince Vaughan and Jennifer Aniston. Watch Catholic Latte on YouTube and Facebook. Outro: Hummingbird. Text: Our point-of-view character for this chapter is Dr. Bobbie Carter, who is shocked when a helicopter arrives through a horrible storm carrying a fatally wounded construction worker. She's lied to about the injury, told that it's a construction accident, when it's clearly a mauling – and then the injured worker speaks: raptor before vomiting blood and spasming on the floor, to his death. Then the body and all evidence of the injury are whisked away by the InGen Construction Sikorsky, and they're gone forever. The word raptor makes the not-usually-superstitious Costa Rican aides at the clinic extraordinarily superstitious, because it reminds them of the hupia, a vampiric spirit that kidnaps newborns. Carter looks up the word in the dictionary and see that it means: bird of prey. Discussion surrounds how to read "Raptor," raptor bites, being sick v. being injured, the art of deception, half-baked ideas, power and safety, the Safety Dance, and Building a Mystery. May cause drowsiness. Do not take prior to operating heavy machinery: Find it on iTunes, on Spotify (click here!) or on Podbean (click here). Thank you! NSW finally looks to escape this hellish facade, that is this lockdown and as such, this week Sen tells the boys that his firm is looking to head back to the office soon as we discuss sharing an office with unvaccinated people. This podcast is firmly pro-vaxx and looks down on people who are anti-vaxx. We also discuss another firm who have been in the news this week for racist sketches and comments made by their HR department - you literally couldn't make this stuff up. Our game this week is “Madlib Madness.” Ro and Migs go head-to-head as they provide various nouns, adjectives and adverbs in an effort to come up with the funniest paragraph. This week we explore Owen Wilson, rune, Danny DeVito and Vince Vaughan. Finally, we end the episode with a fan favourite segment “Compare and Contrast” where we debate and rank various things, this week we tier characters from the popular Netflix show, Squid Game. The show features incredibly nuanced and flawed characters who could be analysed to the Nth degree - so of course instead, we allocated them to one of 5 tiers. Also this week: PwC, bats, communism, Harry Potter and Big Brother. Segments this week: The Logue: Tired of reaching around each other (at least on the podcast), the boys have instead decided to reach around the week's news stories, events and viral trends. Madlib Madness: The boys tackle some madlibs, and as expected, things turn debaucherous very quickly. Compare and Contrast: Named in honour of our favourite HSC English essay questions, the boys debate the most pressing issues in society and attempt to agree on a ranked tier list, which may end up in broken friendships and definitely will end up being wrong. ___________________________________________________ FULL PODCAST EPISODES

*** Spoiler Warning: The Cell (2000)*** We sensory dive into the mind of a psycho killer in this weeks "Is it an Isekai", only to find that it's full of elaborate set design and bondage gear. The contradictions of the human mind, folks! We're talking about The Cell. The visually arresting and suspenseful sci-fi thriller direct by Tarsem Singh starring beautiful queen Jennifer Lopez and wretched goblin man Vince Vaughan. It's pretty good... but is it an isekai? Find out from (12:36). A trolley is barrelling down the tracks towards some unsuspecting workers. You can flip a switch to save them, at the cost of the life of one worker on another track. What do you do? Easy, I throw myself on the tracks. I'd rather take my chances in another world than have to answer a ridiculous hypothetical. Just how ridiculous and how hypothetical is the trolley problem? We get into it from (24:19). This weeks recap segment covers: Episode 7: It Seems Shinobu Has a Shinobi's Intuition! (49:35) Episode 8: It Seems Aoi's Specs Are Greater Than Imagined! (1:28:05) Episode 9: It Seems Tsukasa Has Seen Through Everything! (1:52:10) Closing thoughts at (2:28:47) Sigh and groan. We spend another episode going way too long on how terrible this anime is. To be fair, High School Prodigies has finally gone overboard into heretofore unseen territories of vileness. Not only is this show constantly high on its own lib fumes, it seems the level of creepy content just continues to creep upward and it's starting to get upsetting. No one is likeable and the story is barely there. So how are we able to talk about it for as long as we do? We're simply trying to understand! By re-treading the awful events of these episodes we slowly make sense of it whilst also keeping each others sanities intact. Come stare into the abyss with us! It's Part TWO with the hilarious Bill Burr. And guess what... Bill Burr flies helicopters. For real. And he's telling Steve all about it - why he wanted to, how he learned, where and when he practices, and if he's ever had any close calls! He's also giving an inside look at the writer's room of his Netflix show, "F Is For Family," what it's like working with Vince Vaughan (the producer backing the show), why he relates to crying babies on planes, when he stopped working clean, and if there's really such a thing as "extra bits" in stand-up.

We break out of our normal format a bit for this BONUS EPISODE! How so? Well, #1, we watched a movie that we were all pretty sure we'd like (and, spoiler alert, we did) -- the body-swap horror-comedy "Freaky," and #2, instead of doing letters and recommendations, we take a bit of extra time to talk to our guest about her long career. Who is that guest? The wonderful Barbara Crampton, star of legendary horror movies Re-Animator, From Beyond, You're Next, and a little movie that doesn't get mentioned on our show a lot -- Castle Freak. And folks? Barbara is just an absolute ray of sunshine who was a delight to talk to (off-mic as well -- she spent a bunch of time just chatting with us and inquiring about our health and well-being). We hope you enjoy this as much as we did.Wikipedia synopsis of Freaky.
Amanda Alvaro, joins me to help keep us all calm when it comes to the Covid19 vaccine. There are massive logistics to figure out of course, but the bottom line is that we have procured enough vaccines for every Canadian citizen, so let’s all take a deep breath and listen to facts that Amanda brings to the show this week. What would compel someone to try and make a mark in the cosmetic industry? An industry that’s already brimming with competitors, many of those with deep pockets? Lorelei Hummel from Calli Essentials shares why she felt she had to jump in and start an all natural, nutrient rich skincare line and how she competes with the big players. Anne Brodie brought me a horror movie this week, and knowing how much I hate horror movies, I knew there must have been a reason she decided to share Freaky starring Vince Vaughan with me. There is, and now I can’t wait to see it. Plus, she has holiday shows to keep us blissfully counting the days until Christmas. There is a clear link between mind and body when it comes to our health, which means in 2020 we have to be extra attentive to the damage stress could be causing. Andrea Donsky from NaturallySavvy.com joins me to share what stress can do, and the benefits of including pre and probiotics to your diet. Aly Pain, What She Said’s resident expert on all things to do with teenagers, wants you take a minute to reset expectations with your teens now for the upcoming holiday season, and allow them the space to grieve what they’ll be missing. Finally, keeping spirits bright this holiday season is going to be challenging with social distancing mandates in effect, a worrisome economy, and loneliness affecting us all which is why invited Dr. Andrea Dinardo to share her best tips for surviving and thriving through holiday 2020.
On this week's episode of the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER!, we have made it to Thanksgiving Eve! For many people, we have a long four-day weekend ahead of us with our immediate family... the same family you have been quarantining with since mid-March. But have no fear, as the guys at WCPEver have you covered. This week, you get: One of our longer episodes, as we know you will have plenty of time to listen to it. A fun conversation with friend-of-the-show Vince Vaughan of the Technically Drinking Podcast. Vince and his crew (Eddie, Eden, and Taylor) have been knocking it out of the park for the last two years as the premier podcast for nerds who like to argue and drink. Vince brought along a list that he is working on to rank/categorize all of the many movies derived from comic book origins. Will we spend a lot of time discussing the Fantastic Four films? Not likely. Is Black Panther one of the all-time greatest comic book movies? We may be swaying Vince's opinion. Should Superman: The Movie and Superman II be viewed as separate films or one long film? One of the many questions that are raised during our discussion. As always, we have our Pick 3 selections for this week, sponsored by our friends at Clint's Comics. Please remember to support your local comic shops, especially as we head into the holiday season. Shops will be closed on Thursday, so be sure to pick up your new stack of books today! We would love to hear your comments on the show. Let us know what you've been reading or watching this week. Contact us on our website, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or email. We want to hear from you! As always, we are the Worst. Comic. Podcast. EVER! and we hope you enjoy the show. The Worst. Comic. Long before construction crews show up with steamrollers or bulldozer to build a road, an entire spectrum of experts has been involved in the planning and execution of that project, sometimes for decades. Your hosts examine the role of The Hidden Industry in these projects and compare it to your favorite candy bar. (What exactly is "nuget", anyway?) Oh, and they still find time to debate the comedic talents (or not) of Will Ferrell and Vince Vaughan and their relation to Tzatziki sauce.

A spectacular day at Mega Success with three huge celebrities. Dr Phil - who needs no introduction! Over almost two hours, he was amazingly insightful. I could listen to him all day. Omorosa from the Apprentice, former political aide to President Donald Trump and writer also appeared for some fantastic interaction with my Coach, JT Foxx. Last for the day was Actor, Vince Vaughan. So exciting to meet Vince as I love two of his movies; Dodgeball and The Internship. I love how down to earth each of these celebrities are - just like you and me, it's just that they do extraordinary things. One thing resonates over the past two days - everyone, even celebrities, have insecurities and they all have a burning desire to improve everyday, be resilient and make a difference in this world through hard work.

And the impact of the struggle keeps us from discovering the life of an overcomer. Today Vince Miller is joined by Vince Vaughan as they continue the series on being an overcomer, with the topic on Ownership.

Often we don't think of nurturing as a masculine activity, but it's extremely masculine. And there's a lot of leadership, care, and development involved in it. Nurture is the process of caring for the development of another, which is primary to our role as a leader, husband, and father. Today Vince Miller and Vince Vaughan discuss their success and failures in nurturing their marriage and what to do about it.
When it comes to marriage, I believe men and women, sometimes have these over romantic ideas of what marriage is going to be like. I know I did. Often romantic ideas include that we think marriage is going to be easy, or that we are going to get our way, or that the other person is going to match our ideals. And when these assumed ideals are not met, we encounter a sobering moment. Today Vince Miller with special guest Vince Vaughan spend a little time talking about we do this and what we can do about it.

CT Fletcher is one bad-ass MoFo, and he's taking on Steve Austin! They're talking shit, and cutting promos on each other... and throwing down one serious challenge to a certain head honcho at WWE! They're also talking classic Corvettes, the 10 Commandments Of Muscle Growth, movie making & filming fight scenes, a little nutrition, and what happens when you try to show off for one hot girl at an arm curl competition!
