POPULARITY

As broadcast May 19, 2022 with plenty of extra heartache for your old school idealism. Tonight we mark the combustible but amicably broken up marriage between Stevie Wonder and Rita "Syreeta" Wright in 1970 and the amazing music that emerged from the acrimony in the end, including their lifetime friendship. After that, we play a lot of combustible funk & soul artists from back in the day while also wishing Sam Smith a very happy 30th birthday and marking new tunes from Drop MVP's like Monophonics, Surprise Chef, and Robohands amongst others. For parts 3 and 4 Dan Lloyd brings the rock and we turn it up to 11 by noting Spinal Tap's ostensible rise from the grave for a sequel. We also had new tunes from Viagra Boys, Cave In, Dune Rats, and our favorite new band Teen Jesus and The Jean Teasers to round things out for the show.#feelthegravityTracklisting:Part I (00:00)Syreeta – I Love Every Little Thing About YouSisters Love – Give Me Your LoveAlice Clark – Don't You CareThe Diddys feat Paige Douglas – Intergalactic Love SongsMonophonics – Sage MotelMonophonics – Love You Better Part II (32:21)Robohands – La Em CimaSurprise Chef – Spring's ThemeSam Smith – Stay With MeLittle Beaver – Get Into The Party LifeMica Millar – Heaven KnowsCharly Brown – The Sub Club pt. 1 Part III (61:09)My Chemical Romance – The Foundations of DecayViagra Boys – TroglodyteDeath Cab For Cutie – Roman CandleSports Team – The GameCave In – ReckoningPart IV (91:12)Dune Rats – Melted Into TwoTeen Jesus and the Jean Teasers – Girl SportsSpinal Tap – Tonight I'm Gonna Rock You TonightWeird Nightmare – WreckedLake Malice – Magic SquareBayside – Strangest Faces

Hey~ sorry for being away so long. I put an update at the end for everyone interested. You can also always feel free to reach out to me on my social media or email as shown below :D ___ Today's episode is just my weird ramble to start of this new year: 2021! I am back to being and talking with myself and blabber on about the strange dream I had a couple of days back. It actually made me realize how I see sought changing my life's decisions in my twenties and regretting everything and anything. However now in my thirties I feel that I finally started to understand this a little bit. And I stopped looking back while accepting my past completely. In ways this made me realize 2020 was not too bad after all :) Happy to be back and hope to see you soon. ~ Carsten ___ All the best to #loveisnottourism Really hope everyone else stuck will get the opportunity soon to meet their partners where ever they may be. https://www.loveisnottourism.org/ ___ Feel free to say hi: beingwithmyself@posteo.org Instagram too: https://www.instagram.com/nezuminotabi/ I'm always interested in getting to know other people.
