Season two is about love that our culture pushes into the shadows and this episode is about love between two porn performers, Jetsetting Jasmine and King Noire. When we asked other porn performers what couple they felt are the best example of a healthy, amazing love, Jetsetting Jasmine and King Noire were always the reply. So often our culture projects bigoted, two-dimensional stereotypes onto porn performers. In contrast, this episode, which is all about their love, helps to humanize and get closer to the truth. When asked how our culture might love porn performers better, King said, “Just realize that we are humans.” That shouldn't be a big ask, but in America, unfortunately, it is. Their epic love is just a part of this episode. In addition to being performers, Jasmine is a psychotherapist and King is a musician. Both of them have a heavy social justice focus. Over ten years ago, their fans, who were mostly Black and Brown people would ask, “Why aren't we (Black and Brown people) shot well? Why aren't we ever shown kissing? Why is it so bad.” And so, through their production company, Royal Fetish Films, King and Jasmine give their fans the corrective experience they have been asking for. This episode is not just about the relationship between to porn performers, but also their relationship with their fans and our culture. It's an episode about breaking down bigotry and creating art and beauty through porn. We hope you join us for another episode of Open Deeply, where again, we feature amazing humans who are shifting culture towards a more open and loving world. Want to connect? Here are 3 ways to connect with me or other adventure families through Ordinary Sherpa: For a quick 1:1 with Heidi buy me a coffee For a cohort adventure challenge: https://ordinarysherpa.com/challenge In a community of other adventure families: https://ordinarysherpa.com/arena Website for this episode: https://ordinarysherpa.com/061 I was first exposed to the Jetsetting Family through their podcast when I was looking for inspiration from families who travel. Through their podcast episodes and Instagram feed I felt like I was on so many of the travels with them and they opened up my world to places I hadn't heard of or were not in my zone of awareness. Jessica is a photographer and social media content creator for The Jetsetting Family. Three years ago, she sold most of her stuff and took her family on a full-time adventure around the world. In two years, she visited more than 40 countries with her husband and two young children, working with dozens of brands in the travel and hospitality industry. She now calls Florida home, and is always ready for the next big adventure! Key Takeaways They bought a home that ended up being exhausting. It felt like “we were always saving for the next repair.” They were spending so much time and money on things that weren't important to their family. One of the items they wanted to prioritize was travel. When single, young and had all the energy in the world she liked fast travel. But with 2 young kids, fast travel was exhausting. The transition from vacation mindset to lifestyle mindset is a learning curve. After 9 months the settled into a routine of having 2 down days and work days built. You can only travel as long as your budget allows. They planned to travel for 6 months, thanks to Instagram following they were given discounted free stays reducing their expenses. Then expanded to tours and eventually at the end of their 2 years of full-time travel had secured substantial paid contracts. “If you are going to travel full-time you have to learn to take everything as it comes. The reality of travel is there are beautiful moments and there are really hard moments.” “Yes kids might not remember the travels, but seeing how they adapt, the funny questions they ask along the way, and how it becomes so normal to them is really a beautiful experience” (9:09) Cruises are great taste test of where you want to go, but don't allow you to go deep. Transitioning home she is reminded of how much more exhausting it is to travel from a home base than to travel full-time. When you are traveling full-time you aren't thinking about what to pack because everything you own is with you. It costs a lot to travel and own a home. I think people see full-time travel families as families who are really wealthy, or have some secret to life. The reality is you are substituting living expenses instead of paying car ownership expenses you are paying for a flight, instead of rent or mortgage you pay for lodging. Being at home it feels like we have our own independent lives, we spent much more time together while traveling. After a year of travel, anytime they were at a location 1 month or longer they would enroll in local schools or activities where they would have daily exposure to other kids. Families interested in exploring full time travel might want to explore Instagram. Many families are passionate about the lifestyle and want to make it accessible. Send them a DM and ask your questions, chances are they have content or insights to share. For every bucket list place you go, you end up adding 2 more. You meet people and they offer gems or suggestions. Lessons learned from fulltime travel: https://www.thejetsettingfamily.com/lessons/ Pros and Cons of travel vs. being home. Hello everyone, I just wanted to pop in today and wish everyone a Happy New Year. Who can relate to me when I say 2021 didn't exactly go according to plan? Ever wish that life came with a delete button? I can relate! Now I'm a big believer that sometimes these blunders are part of the learning experience. The new year brings new beginnings and opportunities, you change your direction in life and not dates, change your commitments and not the calendar, change your attitude and not the actions, and bring about a change in your faith, your force, and your focus and not the fruit. Only you can make that change, if you want to travel more, travel don't wait on others because you will miss that opportunity at the right moment. Stop being available to others that want take 5 seconds of their time to help you.Let the old year end and the New Year begin with the warmest of aspirations to start that new chapter in your life. This is the perfect opportunity for you to write an incredible story on your journey of a new you.May you live up to the promises you have made and may you create for you and your loved ones the happiest New Year ever.Thank you for listening today to Jetsetting with Jek travels podcast, please subscribe to be notified of upcoming podcasts. Until next time.
Hello everyone, today we're going to review the Sandos Playacar Resort. Now I have stayed at this resort on personal trips and on our hosted group trips. This is my favorite resort out of the three Sandos properties in Cancun. I love it because of the beach is so relaxing, you can sit out under the cabana and enjoy the view with your significant other drinking a refreshing beverage taking it all in.This is a budget friendly resort that's an excellent choice for family vacations, group trips, or a couples trip if you're looking for a quick getaway. I love how each section is separate from each other with its own little amenities. Sandos Playacar is an all inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. The beach resort sits on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Riviera Maya and guests enjoy direct beach access.Spend your days swaying in hammocks beneath the palm trees in the beach area or enjoying an exotic cocktail by the swimming pools. When it comes to food and drinks Sandos Playacar has an excellent choice of restaurants and bars offering international cuisine, gourmet dining, beach snack bars, buffets, swim up bars, and more.Guests can enjoy mini golf courses, tennis, fitness center access, world-class spa, and much more. Another highlight of our all inclusive Playa del Carmen resort is the outstanding entertainment, from daily activities to spectacular nightly shows you will never get bored during your all inclusive vacation with Sandos. Now Sandos Playacar is one of the few Playa del Carmen resorts with a brand-new water park, located just in front of the white sand beach with awesome ocean views the water park offers non-stop fun and adventure for everyone. The resort has 9 restaurants on property with different options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with 24 hour room service. The good thing I like with the properties is that you will constantly be asked when you enter if you have any food allergies or restrictions. Its best beforehand when reserving to let the resort know of all restrictions and restaurant have a list clearly detailed of different food options.Though it is known as the beautiful Caribbean vacation hotspot, Playa del Carmen has so much history and culture. Situated within the Riviera Maya, this wonderful place used to be home to a prominent Mayan community. The Mayan Culture lives on and is shown through breathtaking Mayan Ruins that are a must-see during your getaway. For more information visit our website and fill out a trip inquiry or send us an email at vacations@jektravelsllc.comI have enjoyed my time with you today on the Jetsetting with JEK Travels podcast. Show of hands, anyone else feeling that itch to travel, the need to escape this cold weather ASAP and dreaming of beaches and margaritas? Well this podcast won't help the feeling, but it WILL give you some inspiration to think about when to plan a vacation. Some people relish getting on the open road and driving from destination to destination on vacation. They enjoy the flexibility starting and stopping whenever they want to affords them. Time is not a factor – lots of extra time is padded in to accommodate possible traffic delays of the unexpected detour. For some, this is the only way to travel. For others, not so much. That's what makes vacationing so fun.Traveling isn't entirely about tours, beach excursions, and history – it is also about meeting new people and forming connections. Some of the best moments in your trips will be when you meet with people after a long day of activity and talk about life. You'll meet people from all over the world who are in search of the same thing as you, giving you an instant kinship. Hearing about the lives and people that wait for them back home will give you a feel for who they are outside of their sarong and open a view to what life is like in a different part of the world. There are many reason to talk yourself out of traveling, but take a look at them… are they good ones? Time waits for no one and the world is ever changing. Beaches erode, the political environment changes – things may not be the same when you finally get around to doing it.When is the best time to plan, if you have time we recommend at least 6 months to a year out or longer. This gives you time to make get the accommodations that you want based on availability at an affordable price. Also you can make flexible monthly payments till your vacation is paid off. You make a small deposit and pay your trip off 45 - 60 days or monthly payments before traveling depending on your trip details. This is great if you have a group of people traveling with you this gives them time to make payments over time especially they're paying for different family members. Traveling during off season is cheaper, but if you select your dates out far enough in advance you can get some great rates. Some of the things you get when working with a travel professional is.Customer advocacy: Expert guidance:Personalized service:Professional advice: Time: Unbiased information: Value: First-Hand Experience: Look for a travel professional that is an expert in your chosen destination or type of travel.Don't wait. Go. Travel to the place you've always wanted to go or make your very firt foray outside of your comfort zone. See the world – you'll be happy that you didWell that's all for today's episode of Jetsetting with JEK Travels. I enjoyed speaking with each and everyone of you thank you for joining me. Think back to when you first started dating, it was Hot and Spicy all the time. You couldn't keep your hands off each other, the sparks were flying. You only had eyes for one another and no one else, you waited in anticipation for the phone calls so you could spend endless hours tying of the phone. Some of you might be high school or college sweethearts. Years have passed and you're married now with kids, working 60-80 hrs a week, stressed out.Have you put your love life on the back burner taking care of home, your family, caring for aging parents maybe? We all know life happens and it gets hectic. Guess what your kids will grow up and move out the house starting their own lives just like we all did. It will be just the two of you like before. You need time away to destress and rekindle the fire isn't out you get it roaring all over again. Start out with baby steps and implement the date nights back into your life simple as going out to dinner once a week, go see a movie, or head out for a drink and listen to some good music. Let me paint the picture for you think about arriving at your designated location getting drinks upon arrival at the resort. Get whisked away to your oceanfront suite, you can sit out on your balcony sipping a glass of wine as the sunsets and wake up together watching the sunrise over a cup of coffee. How a couples massage at the spa, then enjoying a nice romantic dinner on the beach. You like the sound of that don't you. You make your way back to your room and your butler has turned down the room for you with rose petals and champagne waiting.Baby you're thinking now with the wheels turning that you want the brown sugar moment again and kickstart that fire again. I see you fire starter. Listen up we're always hosting group trips and we have our Couples St Lucia trip next year for Labor Day Weekend. Head over to our website www.jektravelsllc.com and click on the events tab. It will pull up all of our trips for you to view. Who knows that fire might be blazing once you leave St Lucia. Now it the time to reclaim back what you thought you lost but didn't to keep your relationship thriving. Studies show that people who vacation more are less tense, less depressed and less overworked, which naturally leads to better relationships with friends, family and their partner.Studies also show that couples who take breaks throughout the year to vacation and re-connect have a higher marriage satisfaction. Working while traveling has allowed them to lower their travel expenses, and stretch their budget so they can sustain their adventures as The Jetsetting Family.
Australian rock music was in the midst of one of its strongest periods in the late 1980's, with two bands in particular, The Poor and The Screaming Jets making significant headway with their aggressive brand of no-nonsense, straight ahead hard rock. Now, some thirty years later, both bands combine for a select run of shows this December with The Poor vocalist Skenie promising a blast from the past to remember."Yeah, especially over Christmas", he laughed. "Look out! We've been friends with the Jets boys for a long time and we have been talking about it and just wanted to do something. When we used to tour with them years ago it was a lot of fun and I can't see it being any different now".In the full interview Skenie answers a series of provocative questions put to him about The Screaming Jets vocalist Dave Gleeson, gives a couple of stories on touring with the Jets, looks back at the past and looks to the future of The Poor, reflects on the music scene when they started and the bands that came out of it, how much Australian rock has changed over the years and more.
In episode 18 I speak with Jess Sanchez of The Jetsetting Family. She and her husband Rod sold everything, quit their jobs and embarked on a life of full-time travel with their two young children Santi (5 years old) and Nora (2 years old). Their blog, YouTube channel and podcast chronicle their adventures, providing inspiration and resources for other families who hope to do the same.Jess shares how she and Rod made their goal a reality, how they currently support themselves financially, and what life on the road is like. She invites us to "find the tiny crazy " in our lives and push ourselves to adventure more - whether it's a huge lifestyle change or simply dedicating ourselves to traveling more. Her inspiring story is proof that if you can dream it, you can do it.Visit my website to learn more about me, and say hi on social media: @jetsetlisette.See Full Show NotesEnjoyed this episode? Rod and Jessica Sanchez thought they had it all… A comfortable home, comfortable jobs, and a comfortable routine. The "American Dream" was theirs for the taking. But what if that dream didn't turn out to be their dream? The more they worked, the less time they got to spend together. During their children's most formative years, they'd be spending the majority of their time away from them. The more they thought about it, the less it made sense. Turns out, either they're really impatient or they weren't made to live that kind of life to begin with. Because of this, they decided to sell everything, quit their jobs and travel the world as the Jetsetting Family. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Synchronize your watches because it's time... to give a fuck! We weigh in on the NFL Boycott and make an attempt to see both sides. James kicks it off (see what we did there) looking at two articles from the Root on opposite sides of the conversation. We'll catch you up on the man that started it all, Colin Kapernick, and theorize the real reason he's not getting picked by a team, why the NBA isn't having this same problem supporting it's players in their peaceful protests, and just what you can do to get involved! If you haven't participated in any #resist/#persist movements this year: now's the time! Nnekay continues the conversation examining the history of our National Anthem that we hear are sports games all the time, along with it's author. It might not surprise you that it comes from racist roots, and Francis Scott Key, author of the Star Spangled Banner... was a white supremacist. Also did you know about the missing 3rd stanza? What got his beef started with Black folks, turning him into a past day Taylor Swift? But FIRST! James is back to the Estados Unidos, and is back to his Carmen San Diego tricks again. Jetsetting to Portland for a Marvel THWIP Shoot in Portland, James has something he'd like to discuss in regards to this "liberal" town. Also legendary Voodoo Donuts... we need to talk. Life After Hate is an organization that needs your dollas! It was started by former white supremacist in Portland, working to end the irradiation of the KKK... See why we need to talk about Portland? Most importantly we need to talk about our friend... Ms. Jackson- cause we at nasty (definitely living up to our EXPLICIT in this episode). James has some inside scoop on why she's crying on stage, after her divorce, and what really happened in the marriage... ALLEGEDLY (for legal reasons). Also, Nnekay has tips about the power of a Manj wig. Ever on an airplane and not sure what to watch? James has been on so many planes he's got your airplane movie reviews! Rough Night Out, Baywatch, Alien:Covenant, The Mummy, Unbreakable, which one's to watch and which to.. skip! Stick around to the end to hear James' bombshell announcement! (3) 30 minute exercise sessions per week That’s it!! If you’re not watching out for you, who is? You should be vibrant and exuberant every day. Is your job really more important than your health? Meditating creates calm and focus in most people. If we take the time to do it every morning, calm and focused is how we will lead our entire day. To take control of our waistlines We need to stabilize our sugar. There are a host of neurological problems that we are seeing today due to high insulin levels. Easiest way to stabilize sugar and stay in shape: Quit eating CRAP: Corn Rice All grains Potatoes Balance the protein, fiber and carbohydrate intake with a 3 to 1 to 3 ratio= PFC 3-1-3 Eat every 3 hours for only 8 to 9 hours during the day. For meditating it’s super easy to download an app on your phone and have it guide you for 15-20 minutes everyday. Super easy. To keep track of your food, download FitnessPal and keep track. Super easy. We carry around our phones everywhere so we can all certainly do this. Rock That Dress in 10 days 10 day program to lose 8 pounds. Perfect for those of us trying to not only fit into that dress, but rock it! Executives are more time crunched than most people. No one is watching out for them. It’s lonely at the top. How to keep your health on check when you’re traveling? When you’re flying you tend to suffer from high altitude sickness. Most think they’re jet lagged. Tips to immediately make you feel better when you land: Drink lots of water Find a gym at your hotel, find something that makes you breathe heavy Plan your food. Have your own snacks with you . Recommended Snacks: hard boiled eggs, fresh veggies, raw nuts without sugar, beef jerky, EPIC bars. Tips for exercise: Need to pretend our life depends on it (like you’re being chased by a tiger!) There are very few people using it anymore, which is ok. But it doesn't make sense for me to do the drawings with so few using it. I know it is mostly because my podcasting has been so irregular and haphazard. I do hope you are using smile.amazon.com. It does the same type of thing but it goes to your charity of choice! I shop through it to support DEW Haven here in Maine, An animal rehabilitation, educational haven for rescued and abandoned animals. Tested very early due to my BMIBaby bump envy big time. But I am showing(although people who don't know me, probably just think I'm chubby!)Working on setting up some part time work for when I'm on maternity leave. Doctor is very happy with the pregnancy so far. Wt is holding steady after regaining 3 of the 9 lbs I've lost. She's ok with that too. Very relieved on how well my company took it! Super supportive. Which is great. Also had to get my short term disability approved through Ameriflight. Thankfully that went well also. Some have asked about gifts for our little peanut. There is a "Stork on the Fly" tab on the website. 3 registries listed and other notes and things on the "Baby list" registry. You can add things from other websites, kind of like adding things to pinterest! Many of the etsy people are people I know and like to support their businesses. It has happened already that I have liked something someone is knitting or crocheting and added it my queue and someone freaked out and contacted Heather to tell me to stop it! Please feel free to contact her if I do it to you! She'll tell me to back off!
