What happens when Apple makes a $2,000 foldable phone that apparently hates left-handed people?You get 43 minutes of The Rizzuto Show doing what it does best: taking one mildly ridiculous topic and driving it directly into left-handed presidents, witch costumes, midnight margaritas, Mortal Kombat nostalgia, creepy horror movies, celebrity gossip and an AI-generated Eminem song that fools 100,000 people.Just another productive morning.Episode 32 begins with the show discussing reports and early reviews of Apple's foldable “iPhone Duo,” including complaints that its design is much friendlier to right-handed users. The hinge, rounded edges and relocated controls supposedly create an awkward experience if you insist on holding the phone with your left hand.Moon's response?The world is built for right-handed people. Get over it.And with that, our comedy show launches into an investigation of whether left-handed people might actually have the better deal everywhere else.Rizz runs through supposed advantages for lefties in baseball, tennis, boxing, fencing, complex math, art, music and even language recovery after certain brain injuries. The crew gets into famous lefties like Jimi Hendrix, Paul McCartney, Bill Gates and Oprah, along with the surprisingly large number of left-handed presidents.This also gives Lern an opportunity to provide several historical theories that absolutely nobody should put on an exam.Her future college course already has a name: “Things I Think, But Can't Prove.”Everybody passes.Then the episode turns into movie-review central when Lern reports back from Practical Magic 2.She and her mom went to the theater dressed as witches, expecting to find an entire coven waiting for them.There was no coven.They were the witches.Fortunately, midnight margaritas were involved, so dignity was never really part of the evening.Lern gives the movie an 8 out of 10 and talks about its humor, heart, nostalgia and emotional moments. She admits she may either be entering a sentimental phase of life or becoming clinically depressed, which seems like a perfectly reasonable way to review a movie.Then we discover Rafe also saw Practical Magic 2.Alone.Rafe explains that he wanted to support Sandra Bullock and help the movie succeed despite the rough critical reviews. He liked the movie, enjoyed the mother-daughter energy in the theater and gave it roughly a B.Of course, the crew is much more interested in the visual of one lone man sitting among groups of mothers and daughters watching Practical Magic 2.Especially once imaginary witch hats and the phrase “Bangers Only” enter the conversation.Moon has the male-nostalgia counterpart ready: Mortal Kombat 2.For him, it scratches the exact same itch. It doesn't need to reinvent cinema. It just needs to make him feel like the kid who went to see Mortal Kombat repeatedly in the '90s. Karl Urban shows up as Johnny Cage, the cheese level rises appropriately, and Moon happily returns to being a Mortal Kombat nerd.Then everybody puts on their extremely unofficial film-critic hats for Obsession and Backrooms.The crew discusses Obsession and its wonderfully simple premise: a guy uses a magical “One Wish Willow” to wish that a woman would love him more than anything else in the world.Great idea.Surely nothing horrifying could happen there.Moon likes how the movie plays with recognizable feelings of love and infatuation before pushing them into increasingly disturbing territory, while Rafe appreciates the simplicity of the magical object that kicks everything off.Then Moon describes Backrooms as this generation's The Blair Witch Project — built around internet lore, liminal spaces, camcorder-style filmmaking, anticipation and the jump-scare language younger audiences grew up with through games like Five Nights at Freddy's.Rizz also squeezes in the Mr. T documentary because apparently we're running a multiplex now.Then it's time for Crap on Celebrities, and this comedy show somehow gets even busier.The transcript gets into Lady Gaga reportedly appearing with a newborn alongside fiancé Michael Polansky, possible new music from My Chemical Romance, Oasis teasing an announcement, and the show's ongoing investment in whether Ella Langley can knock Mariah Carey off a chart record.Naturally, the crew's proposed strategy is simply to play “Choosin' Texas” continuously until Mariah's Christmas empire collapses.We also get entertainment talk involving The Odyssey, Alan Ritchson, Helen Mirren embracing AI for quick medical questions, and the wonderfully specific revelation that Mirren once lamented Kurt Cobain never getting to experience GPS.Forget the music he never made.The man never got turn-by-turn directions.That's apparently the tragedy.Dakota Johnson and Machine Gun Kelly dating rumors send Rafe into emotional distress because he has had enough of MGK getting involved with attractive women. A resurfaced Dustin Hoffman interview sparks a much more serious discussion about consent and past allegations surrounding the actor. Courteney Cox talks about potentially directing a future Scream, and the crew immediately starts constructing an increasingly ridiculous meta-Scream movie that eventually involves Jennifer Aniston.There's also news of another Family Stone movie, giving Lern yet another sequel to something she loves and another opportunity for the entertainment industry to weaponize nostalgia against her.Finally, AI comes for Eminem.An AI-generated track presented like a new Eminem song reportedly racks up more than 100,000 YouTube views before being removed. What do concussions, Mexico City, a $2,000 foldable iPhone, midnight margaritas, tanning beds and a robot vacuum catching an alleged cheater have in common?Absolutely nothing.So naturally, we put them together.This three-episode collection of The Rizzuto Show combines some spectacularly unrelated conversations into one giant funny podcast featuring physical trauma, international rock-star adventures, technological betrayal, relationship debates and enough questionable judgment to keep everybody employed for at least one more morning.The chaos begins with a simple question: has anyone on the show ever been knocked out cold?Moon recalls childhood injuries and the 219 stitches he's had in his head and face, along with moments when a hard impact made everything go black. Rafe remembers a helmet-to-helmet football collision that left him seeing lights before collapsing. Lern doesn't think she was ever fully knocked unconscious, although her cousins apparently made a respectable effort when they were kids.Meanwhile, Rizz reveals that his social-media algorithm has correctly identified his primary interests as cooking videos and watching people get absolutely demolished.Personalized technology is beautiful.From there, Moon returns from Mexico City after performing with Goldfinger at Warped Tour. He describes roughly 40,000 people packed in front of their stage, with more than 150,000 tickets sold for the event overall. Mexico City's altitude makes performing an adventure of its own, but Moon comes back raving about the crowd, the people, the food and the sheer size of a city that seemingly never ends.There are chilaquiles. There are frijoles. There's an extremely nice hotel. There are also security precautions involving verified drivers and discussions of kidnapping risks, because apparently touring internationally occasionally requires more preparation than “bring your guitar.”Moon also gets reflective about the wealth disparity he saw and how traveling outside your normal bubble can violently reset your perspective.Then everybody talks airports, TSA rules and the possibility of approved non-ticketed visitors eventually being allowed back through security at select airports. This leads directly into old airport nostalgia, Global Entry complaints, confiscated toiletries and all the other tiny indignities we accept because somebody once decided 3.5 ounces of shampoo represents chaos.Lern then takes us into another terrifying environment:Youth baseball.After attending her best friend's son's game, she reports back on parents blocking views with tents, adults getting way too emotionally invested and one dad loudly criticizing his own kid while the kid is trying to hit.The crew gets into overbearing sports parents, adults attempting to relive their glory days through children, screaming at referees and umpires, and the incredible ability of youth athletics to turn otherwise functional adults into people who believe a 12-year-old's batting average determines the family legacy.And somehow that still isn't the weirdest concert-related story.At an outdoor gig, Lern encounters an audience member who brings their own guitar AND a battery-powered amplifier, sets up in front of the band and simply starts playing along.Not invited.Not hired.Not remotely part of the band.Just spiritually promoted themselves.Honestly, that confidence should be studied.Then another episode brings us the reported foldable Apple iPhone and the greatest civil-rights battle nobody expected: left-handed people versus phone design.The show discusses complaints that the foldable phone's layout is significantly friendlier to right-handed users. Moon's position is compassionate and nuanced:The world is built for right-handed people. Deal with it.Rizz responds by digging into supposed advantages of being left-handed in sports, creativity and other areas, which somehow becomes a discussion of famous lefties, presidents and Professor Lern's historically questionable theories.Her future college course remains undefeated:“Things I Think, But Can't Prove.”Everybody passes.The funny podcast then transforms into a movie-review program nobody requested.Lern and her mom go see Practical Magic 2 dressed as witches and discover they are apparently the only people who received the imaginary costume memo. The story summons the imaginary justice system known as Rizland, where the crew begins designing an increasingly elaborate form of Swamp Justice for the accused.Lern proposes public shaming.Rafe adds tanning.Rizz gets disturbingly enthusiastic about the cooking process.Nobody should give these people judicial authority.Ever.Next, Sex Time Fun Facts brings in a relationship dilemma involving a husband who wants to leave a stressful, high-paying career and pursue a calmer life. His wife worries about losing their lifestyle and wonders whether getting his testosterone checked might restore the ambitious “tiger” she married.The room immediately divides over burnout, money, responsibility, marriage and whether this man genuinely needs a healthier life or just discovered mushrooms at Burning Man and now wants to skateboard in Costa Rica.Underneath the jokes, the crew actually gets into the reality that people change during long relationships — and that figuring out how to adapt together may be more important than expecting your spouse to remain exactly who they were when you met.Very mature.Don't worry. It doesn't last.Because now we have a robot vacuum solving infidelity.The show discusses a story from Taiwan involving a husband who reportedly activated a robot vacuum remotely and discovered his wife with another man through the device's camera.Forget lipstick on the collar.The Roomba has evidence.The legal aftermath gets even stranger, but Rafe remains fixated on the true violation: another man allegedly sitting bare-assed on the couch where the husband watches football.Some betrayals simply cut deeper.That launches the crew into a debate over what actually qualifies as cheating.Flirtatious texts?Late-night conversations you hide from your partner?Keeping a dating profile for “validation”?Deleting messages?Saving somebody under a fake name?Talking to another person about problems in your relationship?Everyone draws the line somewhere different, although Moon offers perhaps the most useful conclusion: if you want a genuinely healthy relationship, maybe stop deliberately hanging out directly next to the line.This reasonable advice lasts until the show debates whether a straight married guy could theoretically maintain a Grindr profile exclusively for compliments.We tried.Three episodes. [School of Movies 2026] Back in 2021, after a surprising 24-year absence of Mortal Kombat live action movie adaptations while several really great cinematic story modes played out on the past four entries of the video game series, a movie finally emerged. It wasn't very good. But since we were all on lockdown and starved for entertainment many of us chomped it down like Baraka at a buffet. Then, five whole years later a sequel emerged that actually delivered on the basic, underachieving proof-of-concept that was pitched to us in that excuse for a first movie. Entertaining, grisly, a bit too self-conscious and at times historically inaccurate, this made for a fun time at the cinema and now we actually look forward to more. Mortal Kombat II ups the ante in every conceivable way over its 2021 predecessor (covered on this pod). It's bigger, bloodier, far more ambitious, and—this really seals the deal—it actually features the titular tournament. Released at the tail-end of Covid, Mortal Kombat dropped both in theaters and HBO Max on the same day. Earning a strong $84.4 million and konquering the streaming charts made this sequel a no-brainer. Sadly, despite WB's optimism and better reviews, Mortal Kombat II could only muster $129.5 million. Thus, a third film is stuck somewhere in the Netherrealm of development hell. Listen, WB, as the game strongly suggests to the winning player, "Finish" it. Now, sit back, soothe that Deadpool burn with a Juice Monster from Abomination Brewing, and don't get stuck in the Netherrealm!
