Our special guest for today's New Year episode is Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., innovator, psychophysiologist and director of research at HeartMath® Institute Research Center. One of Rollin's primary areas of focus is the physiology of emotion, investigating the mechanisms by which emotions influence cognitive processes, behavior and health. Hear his transformative journey from a communications engineer to a trailblazer in consciousness studies. He shares transformative early experiences with Doc Childre, founder of HeartMath, which ignited a profound heart awakening and reshaped his life's mission. Rollin reveals how the heart's electromagnetic field communicates emotional states between individuals and can synchronize heart rhythms. We discuss why it's important for people to consider their “emotional diet", as he guides us through the intricate connections between the heart and brain, shedding light on the heart's crucial role in intuition and decision-making. We unpack the science behind how emotions like love and appreciation can shift physiological states and why heart-brain coherence is key to emotional balance. We also discuss the groundbreaking work of Mae-Wan Ho, Ph.D., on the multidimensional quantum coherence of living systems. Learn about the brain of the heart, the intrinsic cardiac nervous system (ICNS), and how HeartMath techniques can enhance intuition and increase synchronicity. Rollin explains the implications of these phenomena for energy healing practices and global, collective coherency. Furthermore, he provides practical steps for self transformation from mindfulness to the awareness of what he calls “the vibrational spectrum of love”. Whether you're intrigued by the science of heart coherence or its broader implications regarding human interconnectedness, this episode offers a compelling look at the heart's profound role in our existence and the science behind it.Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., is director of research at HeartMath® Institute Research Center, a professor at Florida Atlantic University, and a psychophysiologist. In today's episode I'm reuniting with someone who has had a profound impact on my journey as a biohacker, Rollin McCraty, the director of research at the HeartMath Institute. Rollin specializes in the physiology of emotion, and his research explores how emotions impact cognition, behavior, health, and global interconnectivity. I first encountered Rollin nearly two decades ago during my tenure at the Silicon Valley Health Institute. Back then, I was a young enthusiast, navigating the intricate world of anti-aging and longevity, learning from the seasoned wisdom of octogenarians who were defying the natural aging process. Rollin introduced me to the profound connection between cutting-edge science and practices often dismissed back then, like meditation. In a world where admitting to meditating could raise eyebrows and questions about your sanity, Rollin illuminated the scientific links connecting our biology, nervous system, and conscious mind. It was a revelation, a glimpse into the integral role these connections play not just in personal well-being but in the unseen, yet palpable, impact we have on others. Now, as a 50-year-old with the biological markers that defy my calendar age, I attribute part of my own transformation to insights gained from pioneers like Rollin. As a biohacker, personal development isn't just a journey inward but a meticulous tuning of the body's ‘hardware' to optimize function and performance. In this episode we're uncovering the impact our energetics can have on others and the world around us. We talk about heart rate variability and coherence, and its importance in aging. We discuss the magnetic environment we live in, and the human response to these natural phenomena. We talk about the impact of phones on our biology, how technology can potentially be harnessed to positively affect human consciousness and global coherence, and changing DNA with intention. And if you're now motivated to dive into coherence training, we give some tools for that. It's an honor to have Rollin on the show today, a testament to the evolution of biohacking, where the convergence of science and consciousness isn't just acknowledged but celebrated.(03:39) Unlocking the Power of Heart Rate Variability & Earth's Natural Rhythms• What heart rate variability is why it's important for understanding aging• My experience as a HeartMath coach and using a heart rate variability monitor• How we affect each other from our heart rate coherence• Research conducted through the Global Coherence Initiative on fields line resonances• Why it's beneficial to be in sync with the rhythm of the earth• An overview of the Schumann Resonances(33:37) How the Earth's Magnetic Environment Impacts Our Biology• The global magnetometer measuring system• How understanding the magnetic environment we live in can help us be more resilient• What disturbed fields can do to humans• How our phones impact our biology• Measuring global consciousness with Global Consciousness Project 2.0• Recognizing and pushing past our own limiting beliefs(46:35) Exploring Coherence Training & Quantum Consciousness for Healing• Using technology to affect consciousness in a positive way• Global Coherence app• How we are becoming aware of what we're feeding the field • Where to start with becoming more aligned and shifting into coherence• The role of mitochondria in coherence training• How you can change your DNA with coherence and intention• Biohacking's link to epigenetics• The World is Your Petri Dish with Bruce Lipton – #336• Tap into Tapping: The EFT Episode – Dawson Church # 474• Mastering Brain Waves and Creating Mind Bridges – Dawson Church – #653• Channeling healing through energetic fields at Joe Dispenza workshops• Biohacking Conference: biohackingconference.com• Rollin's work with Joe Dispenza• Quantum level processing and consciousness• Global Coherence Initiative: heartmath.org/GCI• Read: Science of the Heart by Rollin McCraty• Read: Heart IntelligenceResourcesDave Asprey's NEW Book ‘Smarter Not Harder' is out now: https://daveasprey.com/books Website: heartmath.orgInstagram: @heartmathinstituteGlobal Coherence Initiative: heartmath.org/GCIThe Human Upgrade is produced by Crate Media.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Today's episode of the podcast features Dr. Rollin McCraty, Director of Research at the HeartMath Institute. The primary focus of the HeartMath Institute is on the connection between the heart, brain, and emotions, and how this connection can impact health, well-being, and overall performance. Here are some key aspects of HeartMath:Heart-Brain Connection: HeartMath emphasizes the importance of the heart in influencing our emotions, cognitive functions, and overall physiological state. Research conducted by HeartMath suggests that the heart communicates with the brain in ways that can affect our emotional responses, decision-making processes, and stress levels.Coherence: One of the central concepts in HeartMath is "heart coherence." This refers to a state in which the heart's rhythms become more ordered and harmonious. Achieving heart coherence is believed to have a positive impact on mental and emotional well-being, as well as physical health.Techniques and Tools: HeartMath provides various techniques and tools to help individuals achieve heart coherence. These techniques often involve practices like rhythmic breathing, focusing on positive emotions, and using biofeedback devices to monitor and improve heart rate variability.Applications: HeartMath techniques and tools are used in various contexts, including stress management, performance optimization, and emotional regulation. They have been applied in educational settings, corporate environments, healthcare, and sports performance.Research and Science: The Institute of HeartMath conducts research to explore the scientific basis of their methods and to demonstrate the benefits of heart coherence and emotional regulation. Some studies suggest that HeartMath techniques can help reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and enhance cognitive performance. It's important to note that while many people find value in HeartMath practices and techniques, the scientific community may not universally accept all of its claims, and more research is ongoing to better understand the mechanisms and effects of these practices.I hope you enjoy this episode with Dr. McCraty, which is but a tiny portion of what you'll discover studying HeartMath in-depth!In this interview with Rollin, you'll discover:-A bit of Rollin's life history and career measuring consciousness...02:00-What is "heart math" and how does it equate to "heart coherence"?...06:00-A case study of how just one incoherent person can distort the energy in an entire room...11:00-Does our physical heart have its own consciousness separate from our mind?...14:40-Coherence correlated to physical activity...17:00-How collective action and thought affect global trends, for better or worse...21:30-Any one of us have the power to build or destroy an entire city with our level of consciousness...25:30-How to learn more about HeartMath™...30:10-And much more...Resources mentioned:Global Coherence PulseRollin's profile at Heart MathAbout the guest:LinkedInRollin McCraty, Ph.D., director of research at the HeartMath Institute, is a professor at Florida Atlantic University. Have you ever had times when you felt like you were able to achieve outstanding results without much effort? Conversely, have you ever gone through phases where your energy simply felt “off” and you weren't sure why? One compelling explanation for these fluctuations that we all experience stems from the earth's solar cycles and energetic fields. While it may seem that these forces are out of our control, research indicates that we are constantly feeding into them at the same time that they are affecting us. By becoming more aware of your own energetic system and those operating around you, as well as by taking steps to self-regulate and become more coherent, you may be able to access greater productivity and harmony within yourself, your teams, and the world at large. As a psychophysiologist and the Director of Research at the HeartMath Institute, Dr. Rollin McCraty studies the physiology of emotion, heart-brain communication, and the global interconnectivity between people and the earth's energetic systems. Findings from his research have been applied to the development of many educational programs and technologies to optimize individual and organizational health, performance, and quality of life. Dr. McCraty has also acted as principal investigator in numerous studies examining the effects of emotions on heart-brain interactions and autonomic cardiovascular, hormonal, and immune system function, as well as in studies to determine the benefits of self-regulation focused interventions and heart rhythm coherence feedback in diverse organizational, educational and clinical populations. In Episode 156 of The MINDSet Game® podcast, Dr. McCraty discusses the following: The latest research findings from the Global Coherence Initiative, a science-based cooperative project intended to help unite people in heart-focused love and intention Incredible findings from other studies that have explored how the earth's energetic fields affect humans both individually and collectively How greater coherence can create more successful teams, as well as tools that can help leaders elevate their own energy and that of their teams To learn more about research from the HeartMath Institute, visit https://www.heartmath.org. Tapping into Your Intuitive Guidance While it might sound a bit ‘woo' or out there, the truth is that we all have intuitive guidance to help us make decisions and choices in all areas of life, really. It's called your emotional guidance system, and when you learn how to tune in and trust it, you will start to notice patterns when something feels right, be it something you sense in your body or an image you might see, or an emotion you feel. You'll also learn how to decipher what ‘no' feels like within your own inner guidance. I've interviewed many experts, luminaries, and scientists on the show, like Gregg Braden, Sonia Choquette, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Rollin McCraty, Dr. Judith Orloff, Laura Lynne Jackson, and many others who have discussed the importance of tapping into and listening to your intuition. As Sonia Choquette shared in her interview, remember that intuition literally means ‘your inner teacher.' In today's solo episode, I decided to honor my intuition and pull cards from a few of my favorite decks to see what showed up as messages, themes, and wisdom for all of us. As always, my friend, take what you like and discard the rest. And above all, make sure you run all of what I share through your own brilliant intuitive guidance. It will never lead you astray! How To Use Oracle Cards There are many ways to use oracle cards. The way that I love to use them is by no means scientifically backed, but it is a process I've been using for years that has been spot on for me and for those in my Sacredology community (where I give intuitive messages from time to time). I first like to get a sense of which deck wants to ‘play' with me. Once I've decided, I take the cards out and begin to shuffle them while I state a very clear intention that sounds like this: “May I pull a card(s) that is for the highest good for me and all those I'm here to serve. May this card(s) shed light, open hearts, and bless me and everyone involved.” I then shuffle and often span the cards out in my hands to see which one feels like it wants to be pulled out. Often it's the top card, but sometimes it's another card wedged in the deck. I trust my guidance and have never pulled a card that didn't fully resonate. I'd encourage you to practice this process or one that works for you and take note of the cards you get and what they mean to you. After time, if you continue to play with your intuition and the oracle cards, you will start to see patterns, themes, and wisdom that I'm confident will guide you through whatever is going on in your life. Playing and tapping into the wisdom of my cards has helped me enormously in connecting more deeply with my ‘me-est me.' The Oracle Cards In this Episode I pulled some powerful cards in this solo session, and I am sharing the card, main message, and where you can get them below. I'd love to hear from you what resonates the most and what you're discovering about yourself. The You-est You Intention Deck juliereisler.com/shop The first card I chose was: Integrity The intention: Integrity is the cornerstone of having a life that works with ease. I choose to align my words and actions with my highest intentions and to follow through on what I say and commit to. I show up in my life today with integrity and responsibility for all that occurs in my life. The second card I chose was: Laughter The intention: Laughter is healing for my body and soul. I will find time to invite laughter into my day to lighten up myself and those around me. Ask yourself, where might you add more integrity to your life? Where are you in and out of integrity? Note: Do not judge yourself either way here. Also, look at where and how you're adding levity, laughter, and lightness to your life. Animal Spirit Guidebook Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3JO4gju The next deck I picked from is another one of my favorites. This beautiful deck will give you incredible guidance and insight connected to different animal spirits and the four elements: water, air, earth, and fire. The card I chose was: Vulture Deeper meaning: The vulture signifies both a guardian and a purifier. This is one of the most misunderstood creatures, as its gift is purification and helping to bring you back into balance. Something to think about: What you think is a tragedy or mistake is actually a blessing in disguise Sacred Traveler Oracle Cards Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3LurwE3 I use the Sacred Traveler deck all the time and almost every month. The card I chose was: Mystic Healer- Healing energy flows through you. Deeper meaning: You are a healing force, even if you are just becoming aware of this or aren't sure how to use your healing abilities. For healing to occur in outward relationships, it must first happen within yourself. You, my friend, do have the ability to heal within yourself. Use the art and gift of visualization and tap into deeper trust and faith that all is working out for your highest good. What is being revealed is here to be healed. The Cosmic Journey Oracle Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3TlgTFy Yanik Silver was on my podcast earlier last year, and I absolutely love his Cosmic Journal and Cosmic Journey Oracle cards. There are lots of excellent questions that will prompt deeper reflection and inner awareness. The first card I chose: #44 - Words Create Your World Deeper meaning: First off, this is the title of a chapter in my book, Get a PhD in YOU. I believe this to my core. Your words are the magic wand in your life. Get present, slow down, and notice what you're saying to others and yourself. Be mindful and careful with your words, my friend. They create the life you are living now and in the future. The second card I chose: #39- Your Effortless Effort is Fully Required Deeper Meaning: Do your best AND go with the flow. This one spoke deeply to me, especially as a recovering overachiever. Stop pushing and trying to make things happen. Tap into the Universe's balanced yin/yang energy, move into harmony with your effort, and use effortless effort to manifest your greatest desires. I'd love to hear your thoughts after listening to this episode. I had so much fun doing this for you and would love to know if it resonated with you and if you'd like me to do more intuitive guided episodes with oracle cards. We live in a time where old paradigms are disintegrating and where it is profoundly important to heal what needs to be healed in ourselves and call forth our inner leaders. It is paramount that we look inside, instead of looking outside for the "one man who fixes it all", or the "one hero that saves the world". It is the heroine or hero within all of us that can begin the shift inside and then extend it to our planetary community. It is a time to heal and step into our full power and help others rise into their full potential, too. How do we connect with and nurture our inner leader and how can we help others become the best leaders they can be?Our guest Jennifer K Hill has some profound insights on this. Jen is an Evolutionary Leader, conscious entrepreneur, author, speaker and TV host. She has hosted popular shows with leading minds such as Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Rollin McCraty, Dr. Dain Heer, and many other global luminaries. After selling her first company in 2018, she recently co-founded a new company in the wellness space, Om Heals, a platform that custom matches you with energy medicine practitioners from around the world who best suit your needs based on a proprietary, matchmaking algorithm.Jen is also the author of 101 Spiritual Tools For Uncertain Times. In the book she shares the tools she has gained from various teachers, mentors and friends over the past 15+ years of her spiritual journey. Today she will share with us some of these tools that can immediately be applied and help us heal and step into our power. In this episode with Jennifer Hill, you'll discover:-Jennifer shares the prayer she says prior to engaging in any type of her business...04:15-Accidental adversarial relationships defined...09:05-The many hats worn by Renaissance Woman Jennifer K. On this episode we discuss heart health as it relates to healthspan but not in the conventional manner that you'd think. We aren't discussing cholesterol, blood pressure, or hardening of the arteries. It turns out that monitoring the beat to beat variation and the time intervals between heart contractions, however, provides an incredibly valuable window into what is going inside our body, possibly AS important as our expected lifespan. This biofeedback healthspan hacking measure is known as heart rate variability. We will also discuss how we are all connected on a global scale of synchronization through a global information field that has a lot to do with the heart. My special guest, Dr. Rollin McCraty PhD, has spent his life studying the connection between the heart, mind, body, and energetic fields. He is Director of Research of the HeartMath Research Center at the HeartMath Institute. As a psycho-physiologist, his research interests include the physiology of emotion, heart-brain communication and the global interconnectivity between people and the earth's energetic systems. Whether intentionally or unintentionally, most people develop baseline thought patterns over time that shape how they feel emotionally and how they respond to life events. While it may seem that these thought patterns are produced exclusively by the brain, the heart also plays a major role – and in order to change thought patterns that are no longer serving you, it's essential to shift the rhythms of the heart. As the Director of Research of the HeartMath Research Center at the HeartMath® Institute, Dr. Rollin McCraty has extensively studied the connection between the heart and the mind, as well as the physiology of emotion and how emotions influence cognitive processes, behavior, and health. In Episode 85 of The MINDSet Game® podcast, Dr. McCraty discusses some of his findings as he shares: How the brain's amygdala functions, and the role that the heart plays in processing thoughts and emotions How your heart's energy can affect those around you, and why heart-centered change is the key to improving dynamics in families, organizations, and other groups Simple tools for shifting your physiology into a calm, coherent state and gradually replacing maladaptive thought patterns with ones that will serve you more effectively The benefits that these heart-centered practices can have for you, your relationships, and the world at large Dr. McCraty's research interests include the physiology of emotion, heart-brain communication and the global interconnectivity between people and the earth's energetic systems. Findings from this research have been applied to developing tools and technology to optimize individual and organizational health, performance, and quality of life. Dr. McCraty has acted as Principal Investigator in numerous studies examining the effects of emotions on heart-brain interactions and on autonomic, cardiovascular, hormonal, and immune system function, and outcome studies to determine the benefits of positive emotion-focused interventions and heart rhythm coherence feedback in diverse organizational, educational and various clinical populations. He has been featured in several documentary films such as I Am, The Truth, The Joy of Sox Movie, The Power of the Heart, Solar Revolution, The Living Matrix, and many others. Moshe Gersht is a USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author, sought-after speaker, and spiritual teacher. But previous to that, Moshe had quite the different life, spending nearly a decade touring the United States as the singer and songwriter for a popular Los Angeles based rock band, opening up for acts such as The Plain White T's, All Time Low, and Yellowcard. After a profound spiritual awakening in his 20s, he made the difficult decision to leave the music world behind and immerse himself in a journey of spiritual discovery. Moshe moved to Jerusalem, where he has spent the last fifteen years studying in the wellsprings of Talmud, Chassidus, Kabbalah, and Spirituality. He has since devoted his life to seamlessly bridging the worlds of the Torah tradition, mystical wisdom, the true nature of the human mind, and our collective struggles. For years he studied under the guidance of several of the world's premier rabbinical figures, and has found a niche for himself sharing his love of life, people, and spirit through speaking, teaching, and writing. Moshe's new book, It's All The Same To Me: A Torah Guide to Inner Peace and Love of Life (Spirit House, February 16, 2021, 978- 1736139004) became an instant USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestseller. After a decade and a half of deep and dedicated study, It's All The Same To Me gives readers a new lens on life. In this spiritual guide, Moshe inspires readers to discover the freedom and joy of a life lived in connected "sameness." Gersht introduces the powerful kaballistic idea of Hishtavus, which reveals how transcending our ego is not only essential to personal happiness, but also the key to loving every aspect of our life. -------------------------------------- Time to Take Your Power Back with

As Salaamu Alaikum You are listening to a Delivery Driving episode. Delivery Driving is about thoughts that come to me when I'm driving and I feel compelled to share with you. So, I press record to deliver the thoughts and content that's on my mind. References: Abu Huraira reported: The Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, “No child is born but that he is upon natural instinct. His parents make him a Jew, or a Christian, or Magian. As an animal delivers a child with limbs intact, do you detect any flaw?” Then, Abu Huraira recited the verse, “The nature of Allah upon which he has set people,” (30:30) Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 1292, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2658 Surah 7:172 – And ˹remember˺ when your Lord brought forth from the loins of the children of Adam their descendants and had them testify regarding themselves. ˹Allah asked,˺ “Am I not your Lord?” They replied, “Yes, You are! We testify.” ˹He cautioned,˺ “Now you have no right to say on Judgment Day, ‘We were not aware of this.’ Heart Math Insitute - The Heart Math Institute conducted a study where they have found that the heart senses emotional information five to seven seconds before it happens, while the brain senses it three to five seconds beforehand. In other words, when we have an intuition, it starts with the heart. It senses things before the brain. The heart has a mind of its own, and in fact, Dr. Rollin McCraty, the Director of Research of the Heart Math Institute, states: “We observed the heart was acting as though it had a mind of its own and was profoundly affecting perception, intelligence, and awareness.” https://www.heartmath.org/research/science-of-the-heart/intuition-research/ And more importantly, our Lord has taught this to us. In Quran, Surah Al-Hajj 22:46 Allah says in English translation, “and have they hearts wherewith to understand (reason) and ears wherewith to hear? Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breasts that grow blind.”

Most of us have experienced being near someone whose energetic vibration or presence helped us feel more comfortable and at ease. Now, research is helping to explain how our vibrational energies, especially our moods and emotions affect others, as well as this discovery's implications for humanity. During this time of the COVID-19 pandemic, when virtual meetings and physical distancing are expressions of care, new research is indicating how we can energetically support and lift each other's vibrations and the planetary vibration even though we are apart. Join Deborah Rozman and her guest, HeartMath Institute Director of Research Rollin McCraty, PhD, who will discuss exciting research findings on how heart-to-heart synchronization can occur between people located miles apart and without phone or online contact. They will also discuss new findings on how our heart's rhythms can synchronize with the resonant frequencies in the Earth's magnetic fields. One implication of this interconnectivity research is that synchronized heart energy can potentially help raise the planetary vibration and lift human consciousness. Rollin McCraty will also talk about how collective heart-focused intention (such as what we may help create in these Add Heart Calls) might foster a reservoir of coherent heart energy that can redirect planetary consciousness toward harmonious solutions. We will close with a heart-focused meditation to energize our intentions to add more heart to increase our personal and social coherence, and help raise the planetary vibration.
It's the holiday season — a time when people all over the world celebrate holidays and connect more with their hearts as they share kindness and care. Research findings have shown that we influence each other more than we may realize through energetic fields that surround us. Though they are invisible to most, these fields are generated from our thoughts, feelings and emotions. In this month's Add Heart Call, join Deborah Rozman, our host and HeartMath Inc.'s CEO, as well as her guests, HeartMath leaders Rollin McCraty — who is the HeartMath Institute director of research — and Howard Martin, HeartMath Inc.'s executive vice president. Together, they will talk about the energetic fields that surround us and the unique opportunity to utilize the amplification of the holiday energies to add more heart coherence to help lift our personal, social and global consciousness. Together, we'll close with a heart meditation to amplify our intentions to practice more care, compassionate latitude, patience and kindness throughout the holidays. Doing this helps lift the energy field, which makes it easier for others to feel their own hearts and a lift in their spirits. With a little practice, this can become our new way of life — a new normal — for the new year.

Do you ever wake up feeling a sense of anxiety or grief, but have no personal reason to feel that way? As it turns out, we are all connected on a global scale of synchronization through a global information field. Dr. Rollin McCraty has spent his life studying the connection between the heart, mind, body, and energetic fields and is here today to share the results of his research with you. Key Takeaways If you are looking to better understand the resident frequencies of the global coherence, you must: Understand how the heart communicates with the brain, body, and people around you Accept that globally we are synchronized to each other and the earth Find energy through magnetic fields and feed the field with positivity and compassion Gaining Clarity On The Heart’s Coherence with Dr. Rollin McCraty Rollin McCraty, Ph.D. is the research director at the HeartMath Institute and a Florida Atlantic University professor. Dr. McCraty is a psychophysiologist who studies the physiology of emotion. Focused on the mechanisms by which our emotions influence the cognitive process, behavior, health, and the global interconnectivity between people and the Earth’s energetic systems, he is passionate about the heart’s role in health, behavior, performance, and quality of life. The Connection Between The Heart and The Body There are four primary ways in which the heart connects to the body and communicates with the brain. The quality of these neuro signals affects your brain's function and your perceptions of the world. The magnetic fields of our Earth carry this information and can impact our ability to synchronize with each other and the world around us. Heart rate variability, intuition, and field line residences all play a part in these frequencies and can have a huge effect on your experiences in the world. Improving the Global Information Field For The Greater Good Throughout his research, Dr. McCraty has proven the slow wave of global synchronization that is taking place. We are all contributing to the global information field, and Dr. McCraty argues that by feeding this field with positivity and compassion that it is possible to become better in sync with ourselves, our peers, and the world as a whole. By taking self-responsibility for ourselves, we can increase inclusiveness, collaboration, and cooperation to build a healthier and happier global information field. Dr. McCarty is making the deniable undeniable and confirming what many of us intuitively know to be true. Are you ready to align your heart and brain and start feeding into the field positively? Share your thoughts on Dr. McCraty’s research, hypothesis, and predictions with me in the comments section of the episode page. Every cell in our body feels that magnetic field, as do other people around us.” (6:10) “What we are really showing is what all the great philosophers and religions all around the planet have been talking about for millennia, which is that the heart is that doorway, if you will, to that deeper part of ourselves.” (16:03) “It is metaphorically like measuring the heart rhythms and brain waves of planet earth. As it turns out, it may not be a metaphor, but ill keep it at that for now.” (23:24) “The only thing that could really explain this is that they were all synchronizing to something external that was everywhere in California, some environmental signal. It turned out to be the time during the magnetic field. Exactly the power of the rhythms that I was talking about earlier that overlap our hearts and brains ” (33:27) “Were finding that people really are synchronizing globally, which really is amazing. We like to talk about ‘on some level we are all connected’, I hear that all the time. And what these studies are showing is that we really are, and this is the level are connected at.” (35:49) Links HeartMath Institute Website Heart Intelligence by Doc Childre, Deborah Rozman, Howard Martin, and Rollin McCraty Science of the Heart: Volume 2 by Dr. Rollin McCraty mWave Technology Inner Balance Device Find the full show notes for this episode here Keep up with all things Love Is Medicine Follow Razi on Facebook | Instagram
Everything that surrounds us and is within us is made of energy— from the sun and the spectrum of light that enables nature and us to grow; to the bioelectricity in our cells that encourages regeneration; and to the plants we eat, enriched through photosynthesis. The immensity of this energetic life force is something we humans can’t see or touch or hear or feel, but it’s there. The world is electric, and it is time to adjust our frequency. In today’s episode, ALICE asks, ‘What is your frequency?’ and we hear from renowned experts in the field: Dr. Mae-Wan Ho, Hal Puthoff, Dr. Rollin McCraty, Fritz Albert Popp, Jill Purce, and Rupert Sheldrake.
We are standing within each other's heart field. Rollin McCraty, Ph.D., Director of Research at the HeartMath Institute explains that our hearts generate a magnetic field 3 feet from our body.

What’s the first thing we do to express empathy to someone else? We say “my heart goes out to you”. But what does that really mean? In this episode, I had the privilege of picking the brain of one of the world's top experts in the field of Coherence and the connection between the heart and the brain. His name is Dr. Rollin McCraty. He is the director of research at the HeartMath Institute, a professor at Florida Atlantic University. McCraty is a psychophysiologist whose interests include the physiology of emotion. One of his primary areas of focus is the mechanisms by which emotions influence cognitive processes, behavior, health, and the global interconnectivity between people and Earth’s energetic systems. He has been with HeartMath Institute since its founding in 1991 by Doc Childre. You’re going to want to listen closely to Dr. Rollin as he goes deep into the world of intricate connections and pathways between the heart and the rest of our body. We talk quite a bit about HRV (heart rate variability) and what that means as well. You’re going to learn how the heart has its own brain. How the heart connects to the brain and how breathing in certain ways can make you more coherent, resilient, and a better human being. This show was brought to you by me. If you would like to support me and the show you can find my website at sleepbiohacker.com and @sleepbiohacker on Instagram to learn more about me and my products and services. Also a quick heads up...We talk about a unique device in this show called the Inner Balance and I’ll have links to that on my site if you’re interested in learning more. That’s it for now. If you could imagine what it feels like to KNOW something with ever fiber of your being, and finally someone PROVES to you what you've always hoped was true... this is the experience of interviewing Rollin McCraty of HeartMath. So many of my clients (and me included) have suffered from what he calls 'mal adapted baselines' where our brain literally looks for matches of what it finds familiar that feels 'good'... yet it quite unhealthy for us... and when we find what's healthy it's so unfamiliar to our brain's sensory matching system the we turn away from a good man/good woman/healthy match. YET THERE IS HOPE! And there is technology to support the retraining of your brains through the coherence of our hearts. We can create new set points. We can create new baselines. We can vibrate as love, coherence, appreciation, care and kindness. We can attract and create healthy partnerships... AND we can elevate global coherence to one where we choose what's best for the planet. We can measure the contribution we're making with HeartMath's device, Inner Balance. We can feed the field with what uplifts humanity. You matter. Every feeling counts. And we can't think out way into coherence, we can only feeeeel our way... you will LOVE this interview! p.s. Coherent breathing is a fascinating yet simple technique that brings our autonomic nervous system into a state of “coherence” – all of our internal rhythms begin to synchronise, and the nervous system comes into an efficient state of balance – with unbelievable benefits… Heartmath co-founder and biofeedback researcher, Dr Rollin McCraty shares his scientific approach whilst highlighting the power compassion in the meditative process to supercharge its benefits.

To learn more about HeartMath, go to HeartMath.com. Dr. McCraty had so much wisdom to share about the science behind heart intelligence and on today's topic of intuition. While this is a longer episode, I can't recommend this interview enough. You will get a better understanding of how our heart is really what leads our brain and then body's response. Here are some of the most powerful takeaways: Things We Learned From This Episode The biggest stress point in the world is because of a lack of alignment of our heart (where intuition is found) and our mind. There are three kinds of intuition: Implicit Knowledge - what most of us are aware of, as this is our unconscious memory, otherwise known as 'dual process theory'. A secondary kind is known as Insight. This is what we'd refer to as our 'ah-ha' moments, meaning our unconscious is still at work just in a slower manner than with implicit knowledge. Energetic Sensitivity - This is our nervous system's ability to detect and respond to signals in the environment. The commonly used phrase, 'the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife', refers to this idea of being able to sense other's energy. We know scientifically that our heart radiates in a magnetic field that is at least 3 feet past our body. Empaths and those with deep empathy and sensitivity to energy can feel what others are feeling. Non-local Intuition - this is the kind of intuition we can't explain as it's across time or space. Any human being with a heart can learn to better tune in and connect with their heart intelligence. What we know from research and scientific data is that contrary to common thought our heart is the predictor of reaction before our brain. Our heart shifts first, then on to the brain, and lastly, we get effects in our body like a gut reaction, chills or stress response. A beautiful unifying factor is that all religions regard to the heart as the seat of intelligence. We are starting to understand from a scientific standpoint how and why this happens. The language of intuition is emotion. Comments like 'this feels right' is actually right on point. It is our feelings, whether it be joy, peace, overwhelm, frustration, etc. that allows us to tune into our intuition. This is the first episode of the "local series" on the Alter Your Health podcast where I'll be connecting with leaders, healers, and inspiring humans here in the Carbondale, Colorado area and surrounding Roaring Fork Valley. I was so happy to sit down with Deva and Eaden in their beautiful healing arts center, True Nature, in Carbondale. True Nature Healing Arts is a local vortex. Amazing energy and boundless beauty that is so appreciated by the members of the local community. You don't even have to take one of the amazing yoga classes or any of the spa offerings to enjoy the inspirational hub of Carbondale that is True Nature. With no prior connection or knowledge of their backgrounds, I was thrilled to get to know how these two souls came together in synergy, allowing intuition to lead them as they pursued their purpose. Some highlights of this conversation include... The power of "opposites" in relationship How to create a thriving business without a business plan The process of refining intuition Importance of multidimensional health to stay on purpose in life Listening to life's cues that keep us on our path You may also be interested in these episodes... Futures Intelligent Leadership: Innovative Wisdom for Future-Ready Leadership
In this inaugural episode, host Tyler Mongan shares background on the Futures Intelligent Leadership Flowcast and what you can expect in future episodes. 71% of organizations admit their leaders are not prepared for the future (Brandonhall State of Leadership Survey - 2015) and many organizations claim that current leadership training programs are not meeting the needs of their clients (Center for Creative Leadership: Future Trends in Leadership Development - 2014). What are we doing to train and prepare leadership for the future? How can leadership become more future intelligent? Is there a neuroscience-based approach to leadership that can help? The work being done at HeartMath Institute has deeply resonated and intrigued me for years. I've studied heart rate variability and cardiac coherence in my own body and have experienced the power of connecting my heart space and breath with emotional health, stress resilience, and overall health and wellbeing. It was such an honor and pleasure to connect with Dr. Rollin McCraty, the director of research at HeartMath, and dive deep, but not TOO deep, into some of the heart science that has been uncovered over the last few decades. We talk about how so many metaphors - following the heart, trusting the heart, opening the heart, we're all one, love is medicine - are actually not metaphors, but scientifically validated realities. Some highlights include... Rollin's background and journey that led him to connect with Doc Childre and co-create the HeartMath institute The science of Heart Rate Variability (HRV) and cardiac coherence How stress and emotions influence HRV and create risk factor for all disease The connection between cardiac coherence, intuition, and synchronicity How global and cosmic energies influence human energetic systems The power of "Global Coherence" to transmute stress and problems of modern times Hope for the future and the evolution of consciousness You may also be interested in these mental health and spirituality episodes... Dr. Rollin McCraty drops some truth bombs on how much intelligence, wisdom and knowledge the heart has within its physiology, and how we can use that to our advantage.
Rollin McCraty, the Director of Research at the esteemed HeartMath Institute, establishes the credibility of this NASA-inspiring organization and drops the mic on subjects of personal mental balance and the science behind self-centering; the impact of local happenings on mood and measurable electrical bio-energetics of a community; the collective "think," and how large groups of likeminded consciousness can create a measurable electromagnetic field, detectable on a global level. Rollin scratches the surface of HeartMath's 25 years of research and establishes the full credibility of this NASA-inspiring organization. The takeaways are vast and amusing. Rollin humors my whims and goes there on some wild topics that I hanker for further clarity on. I won't even try to capture them here. I hope you enjoy.

I talk a lot about the power of your thoughts and the power of yours words. This has been the single most powerful thing that I’ve done on my journey through self discovery to living fully alive. And it’s watching what comes out of my mouth. I think about the power of my words, and how important it is to train our brains, train yourself to believe something, that’s all our beliefs are anyways, something that we’ve told oursevles over and over again enough times that we believe it is true. Our words are so powerful. They literally create neuropathways in our brain that end up being the road map to our entire life. It’s how we interpret our lives, by the affirmations we are affirming to ourselves every day. You are already saying affirmations every day whether you realize it or not. The stories you tell yourself every day: This is a really hard week. I’m so exhausted. I’m so stressed out. I’m so overwhelmed. There aren’t any people in my town that I’d want to be friends with, money doesn’t grow on trees, I’ve always been broke, I’m so sick, it’s just genetic, people are so stupid, no one will want to buy this from me, I can’t speak to save my life, I’m so awkward... These are all affirmations. Everything coming out of your mouth is an affirmation. Your brain can’t judge for you. And when they are unconscious, you never have any control over what these affirmations are. They are default. The same things that were taught to you by your parents, church, school, friends, environment, culture etc - and they could be the cause of some really deep pain in your life. It takes everything you say or think as fact. It’s up to YOU to challenge your thoughts and rewrite them if they aren’t what you want to be true. So I want to help you effectively train your brain so that you DO have choice over your life. Choice over what you are affirming. So that you are affirming things that are life giving. That you choose to believe the best about who you are, and the best about the world. Because it’s all relative. BEACH BALL STORY So let’s train our brains the way we want to. That rigs life in our favor. Let’s exercise our creative agency, and affirm some powerful beliefs in our life. But before I share 4 tips on supercharging your affirmations… I’ll have to explain one of the biggest problems with them. People will create these great affirmations and start saying them daily. They sound good, they are formulated correctly, they should be working. BUT HERE IS THE Problem with affirmations: When you say something over and over again but your BODY doesn’t believe it - it’s going to be incongruent and it won’t take root. If your physiology isn’t engaged, you body says NOPE. We can’t get there. There is discord and you can’t really believe it. So the secret is engaging your body. Y’ALL THIS IS PROFOUND. When you learn how to do this, it will be a game changer for your affirmations. It will actually rewire your brain so quickly. And it will knock fear in the face. It will create a state that is magnetic. That pulls things to you. That manifests what you are working on creating. The secret is in the body. Just saying your affirmations is not enough. And this is why Tony Robbins changed the name from affirmation to INCANTATION. It’s a small but POWERFUL distinction. “An incantation is not only that you speak it, but you embody what you are saying with all the intensity that you can. And then you do it with enough repetitions that it sticks in your head. If you don’t change your physiology you won’t get anything.” - Tony Robbins We don’t hope to be in a good state, we demand it. And we do this through engaging our bodies. We are signaling to our central nervous system that we are READY! When you say your affirmations from now on, you have to get your body in a peak state. So I want to share with you my 4 secrets to supercharge your affirmations by engaging your BODY. 4 Secrets: Stand up - engage your whole body - One of Tony’s incantations “God’s wealth is circulating in my life, it flows to me in avalanches of abundance, all my needs, desires and goals, instantaneously appear by infinite intelligence for I am one with God and God is everything!" Energy/Emotions - actor playing out a role. We want every affirmation to generate an emotion. Because our emotions are like magnets. They call in the same vibration. Emotions are just vibrations. And we create them. If I told you to get really sad right now, could you do it? Yes or no? YES. If I told you to get happy right now could you do it, yes or no? Yes. Even though positive emotions feel a little harder sometimes because we don’t have as much practice feeling them. And our negative emotions are often much easier to get to because we’ve just practiced them to the point where it feels easy and natural. But our emotions are magnets. When we feel love - we attract love. When we feel generosity we attract generosity. It colors our lens. It’s what we experience, it’s what we see. It’s a state we are in. But we can CREATE emotions and energy. Like an actor... Shake your head up and down for yes FEEL gratitude - elevated feeling at the end. Visualize it. Feel it as though it were already true. Pause after the hype to slow down and feel the gratitude in your heart. What does gratitude feel like? Where do you feel it? Train your body! “The heart generates the largest electromagnetic field in the body… The electrical field is about 60 times great in amplitude than the brain waves. The magnetic component of the heart’s field, which is around 100 times stronger than that produced by the brain…can be measured several feet away from the body.” -Rollin McCraty, PhD So y’all the secret is in your physiology - so use this to your advantage. When you work out - do your affirmations. When you’re in the car - scream your affirmations. Find places where you can get to an elevated emotion and move that body as you affirm to your brain your best life! YES YES YES!
Your heart sends more signals to the brain than the other way round! In this fascinating interview, Rollin McCraty, Scientific Director of the HeartMath Institute, explains how the heart can actually regulate brain activity and the implications of that for health, wellbeing, performance and resilience. He discusses the concept of heart coherence and the relevance of our emotions, and that we can actively learn how to self regulate. He also talks about the ability of the heart to influence those around us and the role it plays in our interaction with the earth itself. For more information go to HeartMath.orgFor a 20% discount on Heartmath products, go to HeartMath.co.uk and enter the coupon code 'LONDONHEAL' at checkout!Become a London Heal Insider and receive EXCLUSIVE access to extended show notes at Londonheal.com

For nearly three decades, the Institute of HeartMath has been researching the human heart – an organ many people believe is just a pump that circulates blood throughout our bodies. Led by its chief researcher and co-founder, Dr. Rollin McCraty, HeartMath has proved the heart is actually a source of great intelligence that plays an enormous role in shaping our choices and decisions. And the feelings and emotions that people experience every day at work also prove to have a major impact on determining their level of engagement, commitment and initiative. After you finish listening to this podcast, you’ll be convinced that the idea of leading from the heart isn’t just the wisest thing a leader can do – it represents the future of workplace leadership.

Have you ever walked into an office and instantly felt comfortable – or completely the opposite? That "vibe" is all about energy – or rather, your sensitivity to that energy. The ways that energetic sensitivity affects corporate culture is the starting point for Dawna Jones' two-part discussion with Dr. Rollin McCraty from the the HeartMath Institute, whose research explores this intangible phenomenon. All working relationships with customers and colleagues start with you and your energy. And sales staff, teams, managers, executives are unknowingly creating a measurable electro-magnetic field that can be registered not only around you but also with a collective ‘energetic blueprint’ that characterizes company culture. In this first interview, Dawna explores how the mechanism works and how to make it work for you.
All the talk about heart-centered leadership is confronted by heavy reliance on rational and logical thought dismissing intuition and the heart’s intelligence as something in the ‘flaky’ department or as a fickle and undependable guide. Yet everyone has had an experience that they could not explain, a bit of serendipity, a hunch, a sense, a gut-feel. Successful entrepreneurs rely on it. If your intuition has not served you well, it is likely to be because you simply aren’t tuned in. In our interview with Dr. Rollin McCraty, research scientist with the Heart Math Institute, he reveals the results of a study that illuminates the role the heart plays in processing intuitive information and demystifies exactly how that information is conveyed. At a time when decision-making is increasingly complex, rapid, with either not enough or way too much information, his findings provide a framework for understanding how the gift of highly energy sensitive people and the occurrence of random flashes of ‘knowing’ create a powerful and reliable tool – that is, if you are aware enough to know what you place your trust in.
