What if the difference between being good and being truly great was simply a mindset shift?Too many entrepreneurs and business leaders play it safe—setting goals that feel achievable instead of ones that push their limits. They stay “relatable” instead of aiming to be remarkable. But according to today's guest, Jon Acuff, real breakthroughs happen when you set goals that challenge you.Jon Acuff is an INC Top 100 Leadership Speaker and the New York Times bestselling author of ten books, including his most recent, All It Takes Is A Goal.In this episode, we break down why so many people settle for less than they're capable of—and how to break free from it. Jon shares how standing out beats blending in, how AI can amplify (not replace) your work, and why setting bigger, more challenging goals is the key to unlocking remarkable success. We also dive into the psychology of goal setting—why most people fail, how to tap into the right kind of motivation, and why belief follows action (not the other way around).3 of the biggest insights from Jon Acuff …#1.) Remarkability vs. Relatability—Why Playing it Safe is a MistakeMost people try to blend in, but standing out is where the real opportunity lies. Jon explains why financial advisors and business owners should focus on being remarkable rather than just relatable—because the people who get remembered are the ones who dare to be different.#2.) The Future of Content: How AI is Changing the GameAI isn't replacing creators—it's amplifying their work. Jon shares how he's leveraging AI to identify viral moments, repurpose content, and create more impact with less effort. The key? Using AI as a tool, not a crutch.#3.) Motivation vs. Belief—The Key to Achieving Big GoalsIs it motivation or belief that helps you hit your biggest goals? Jon breaks down the two types of motivation—fear-based and reward-based—and why taking action, even before you fully believe in yourself, is what truly leads to success.SHOW NOTEShttps://bradleyjohnson.com/103FREE GIFT + JOIN THE DBDL INSIDER CREWToday's Gift: Get a free copy of Jon's book, "All It Takes Is a Goal: The 3-Step Plan to Ditch Regret and Tap Into Your Massive Potential" [while supplies last]To get access to today's free gift AND become a DBDL Insider with VIP access to future resources and exclusive content, text "103" to 785-800-3235. *Message and data rates may apply. His talks leave audiences permanently transformed, offering innovative perspectives on leadership to improve company culture and empower organizations to discover new successes. Countless companies have unlocked productivity, performance, and profits by implementing his 7 Pillar Strategy.  In this episode, Dean Newlund and Chris Dyer discuss:Creating and maintaining a strong organizational culture in a hybrid work environment.Prioritizing employee well-being while maintaining high performance.Balancing between leadership and followership.Transparency, trust, and sense of belonging among remote workers.Misconceptions about leadership and the importance of empathy. Key Takeaways:Culture is defined by the norms and unseen behaviors of how work gets done. The speakers emphasized that culture isn't just the visible aspects like company values, but the unwritten rules and expectations around things like decision-making, communication styles, and handling challenges.Prioritizing work-life balance and avoiding burnout is important for engagement. Leaders need to actively prevent overwork and create flexibility. Leadership can be developed from within through small, project-based opportunities. Giving employees a chance to lead temporary projects and tasks helps identify potential and build skills with less pressure.Transparency and daily check-ins are important for building a remote culture. Regular communication that is open about challenges and priorities helps remote employees feel informed and connected to decision-making.Rather than getting lost in technical details, leaders should help employees understand how innovations may shape their work overall so they can adapt mentally to ongoing disruption. "Culture is the norms and behaviors and the unseen things that happen or don't happen when we get our work done.” — Chris Dyer Connect with Chris Dyer:  LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/chrisdyer7/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@chrisdyer.comInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/chrispdyer7/  Twitter (X): https://twitter.com/ChrisPDyerWebsite: https://chrisdyer.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/chrispdyer7YouTube: https://youtu.be/NtgtkAoGgT4   See Dean's TedTalk “Why Business Needs Intuition” here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EEq9IYvgV7I Connect with Dean:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCgqRK8GC8jBIFYPmECUCMkwWebsite: https://www.mfileadership.com/The Mission Statement E-Newsletter: https://www.mfileadership.com/blog/LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/deannewlund/X (Twitter): https://twitter.com/deannewlundFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/MissionFacilitators/Email: dean.newlund@mfileadership.comPhone: 1-800-926-7370 Show notes by Podcastologist: Hanz Jimuel Alvarez Audio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. On episode 377 of the No Limits Selling Podcast, we have Bob Burg and Paul Smith. Paul is one of the world's leading experts in business storytelling, one of Inc. Magazine's Top 100 Leadership Speakers of 2018, a storytelling coach, and bestselling author of the books The 10 Stories Great Leaders Tell, Lead with a Story, Sell with a Story, Parenting with a Story, and Four Days with Kenny Tedford. Bob is the Hall of Fame Keynote Speaker on Referrals, Relationship Building, and Genuine Influence. He is the co-author of the international bestseller, “The Go-Giver” and founder of The Go-Giver Success Alliance.  In this powerful panel podcast, the conversation is focused on the importance of storytelling and trust in sales. The speakers highlighted the necessity of building trust through personal stories, active listening, emotional engagement, and transparency. They discussed the challenges of storytelling and the need for honesty in communication to establish trust in both personal and professional relationships. The podcast emphasized that trust and storytelling are crucial in sales strategies. Understanding customer needs helps build trust, whereas self-centered stories are ineffective for creating connections. Trust enhances rapport and brings prospects closer. Honesty and transparency are essential for earning trust, and Stephen Covey's "Speed of Trust" underscores trust's importance in business. Techniques like active listening, honesty, and fulfilling commitments are vital for building trust. Effective storytelling involves emotional engagement, combining facts with emotions, and can alter brain chemistry and create curiosity.
