This shifts the burden of learning onto the quorum or class members and prevents “spiritual engines” from turning off during a lecture. Implementing Solution-Based Councils: Instead of sharing “happy thoughts,” leaders should present specific ward or family conundrums—such as helping elderly members attend the temple—and ask the council to generate actionable solutions. Closing the Feedback Loop: When a council generates a solution, leaders must take those ideas to the Ward Council or Bishopric and report back to the members. The last time I got out of prison, I was coming out with no money. All of my money was gone. Assets, too. I got a "Dear John" letter in prison. I had set up my wife for success in my mortgage business where she wouldn't have to stress about money. She had a good paying job and I had rental assets to keep her afloat. She ran off with the landscaper and sold all my shit. Burned through all my savings. Ground zero never hurt so bad. A wasteland of despair and emotional, spiritual, mental, and financial damage. I had to rebuild all over again. By myself as I had many times before in my life. But I used dark motivation to do so. And here's what I know........sometimes our enemies are sent to be our motivation, but over time, as you level up in your life, your motivations will change. They'll become lighter at every level of accomplishment and success you attain. Don't allow yourself to continue to be surrounded by those who you use as motivation. Dark motivation creates more darkness through intention. This is why its important to stay surrounded by good people, with good intentions. As you become more successful, people will want to be your friend, but don't be too quick to take them in; that's not your job. Take time to get to know them. Learn what they're about. Insulate yourself with high-vibrational people with killer intuition. Over the course of your life, you'll see what drives you and motivates you will change in every season. It could be wanting a new house, new friends, more business, a bigger company, or a better relationship with your family and loved ones. Whatever it is, use light motivation over darkness. That which you use to motivate yourself manifests. “Send Coach John a message”Today being the day that we are honoring Martin Luther King, Jr., I found a post from Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) and his #MindsetMonday thoughts shared this quote: “If you can't fly then run, if you can't run then walk, if you can't walk then crawl, but whatever you do you have to keep moving forward.” What a powerful reminder for every single day, but especially today! I found this catching my eye for many reasons - one for sure is that I need to keep moving forward in my attempt to not let negativity, anger, hatred, etc., enter into my heart and mind. Too much of the BS out there that I unfortunately let into my life and I can't let it go. This morning was no exception. People I know, like and thought I respected, keep putting stuff out there that simply sets to tear apart and cause trouble. I will keep moving forward, however I have to, so that I can keep encouraging others, putting out things that help people on their life's journey, along with trying to balance out the “crud” that people put out there. One of the things that I remind myself of is that the people that put out the “crud”, are really sharing what they are all about, the problems they have in life, the hurt they are going through, etc. It's worth my efforts every day for sure!
