Kirbi's music journey began in sixth grade during choir rehearsal. Her teacher overheard her singing, gave her a solo, and, so moved by her voice, urged her surprised parents to consider voice lessons. Although she initially pursued a career in physical therapy, Kirbi realized that music was her true calling. At ITEXPO / MSP EXPO in Fort Lauderdale, Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, spoke with Lloyd Tjom, Director of Sales at Transaction Network Services (TNS), about the growing importance of RCS and the future of trusted messaging. TNS is also a member of the Cloud Communications Alliance (CCA). TNS operates at the center of the communications ecosystem, providing numbering, routing, authentication, and identity services to carriers and communication service providers (CSPs) worldwide. As messaging evolves beyond SMS and MMS, TNS is focused on helping the industry deliver secure, reliable, and commercially viable Rich Communication Services (RCS). “RCS is the evolution,” Tjom explained. Originally introduced by the GSM Association in 2007, RCS has gained new momentum with broad device support—including adoption by Apple—bringing both Android and iOS into alignment. With that shift, RCS is positioned to become a mainstream messaging channel capable of supporting richer interactions and higher trust. Unlike traditional SMS, RCS enables branded messaging, verified sender badges, logos, read receipts, and interactive features such as carousels and embedded actions. “If they're a vetted partner that has got the branding as well as the verified mark, then you know you're dealing with the right party on the other end,” Tjom said. In an era of phishing and spoofing, verified identity and “know your business” (KYB) vetting are essential components of restoring trust in messaging channels. Tjom emphasized that the phone number remains central to digital identity. For many consumers, a single mobile number has followed them for decades, becoming a stable anchor of trust across carriers and geographies. As RCS scales, however, CSPs must address fragmentation, infrastructure inconsistencies, and bad actors within the ecosystem. Broader adherence to standards, stronger onboarding controls, and rapid mitigation of vulnerabilities will be critical for unlocking RCS's full commercial potential. At ITEXPO / MSP EXPO in Fort Lauderdale, Doug Green, Publisher of Technology Reseller News, spoke with Corey Moullas, Founder & CTO of EMAK Telecom, about a bold thesis: in the age of generative AI, voice will not be a side channel—it will be central to how businesses communicate and brand. EMAK Telecom, a VoIP and UCaaS provider founded a decade ago, built its own platform from the ground up with a focus on improving internal workflows and elevating the caller experience. The difference today, he says, is the maturity of AI models capable of delivering empathetic, context-aware responses. “With the new technologies rolling out today, it's actually extraordinary,” he explained. At the same time, he stressed the responsibility that comes with such power. “We have to be very responsible about how we use these tools… they can be used for good or used for evil.” EMAK's internal philosophy—“do the right thing”—guides product decisions and long-term vision. As AI becomes embedded in enterprise communications, EMAK's strategy positions voice not as an afterthought but as the primary interface between humans and technology. It's been said that you spend the first forty years of your life looking forward, and the last forty looking back—from death toward your life. But what if you never get the chance to look forward? Imagine being young and told you may only have a year to live. All around you, you see people living the life you've been cheated out of. How would that feel? How could you find hope in that? These are the feelings and questions that children with cancer—and those who love and support them—face every day. Jed Doherty sat down with two powerful experts to discuss exactly that on a new episode of his long-running podcast, Reading With Your Kids. One was a doctor. The other was an equally powerful expert: a child in remission from brain cancer. Dr. Katerina Levi is a pediatric mental health clinician who recently completed a residency at Broward Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While there, she helped treat children battling cancer and often spoke with them in a garden on the hospital grounds. This experience, along with her dissertation research on bibliotherapy—therapy conducted through books—prompted her to write The Healing Garden. The book follows Alex, a boy diagnosed with cancer. Over the course of the story, Alex meets a new friend: a talking bear. The bear provides actionable, evidence-based psychological advice in language children can understand. At the back of the book is a guide for parents and caregivers to help support children through this trying time. But why books? Why not just therapy sessions, or one person talking to another, or direct instruction? Katrina offers an answer: "Children's storybooks provide a non-confrontational way to discuss difficult topics." She adds that "children can often identify with characters in books," giving young readers a safe pathway to explore emotions such as frustration, anger, fear, and sadness—feelings that children with cancer experience far too often. The other guest on this episode is no stranger to the power of art. Cassidy Stocker, daughter of previous Reading With Your Kids guest and author Shannon Stocker, is a child in remission from brain cancer. Her cancer is currently gone, though recurrence is always a frightening possibility. Cassidy is a painter who sells her landscapes, and the proceeds go toward buying gifts for other children with cancer undergoing chemotherapy. When Jed asks how and why she came up with this idea, Cassidy says she "felt less alone, more happy." Though Cassidy was only in eighth grade at the time of the interview, she speaks with clarity and wisdom far beyond her years. She shares how undergoing chemotherapy felt "completely unfair," and how it "feels like you're alone in your sickness," even as nurses, doctors, and family members—who are healthy—care for you. Yet Cassidy has not allowed her experience to harden her heart. Instead, she encourages other children to be grateful for the life they have and reminds them that "sadness and anger are not a way to live." She understands that death can come suddenly, and she chooses to live with purpose, gratitude, and generosity. Cassidy has formalized her gift-giving into the nonprofit charity Gifts For Gold. The videotaped deposition of Virginia Roberts Giuffre taken on January 16, 2016, in Fort Lauderdale sits at the center of the bitter legal war between Epstein survivors' attorneys Bradley Edwards and Paul Cassell and Alan Dershowitz, who was accused by Giuffre of sexually abusing her when she was a minor trafficked by Jeffrey Epstein. In the deposition, Giuffre gives a detailed, sworn narrative of how she was recruited by Ghislaine Maxwell, groomed, trafficked to powerful men, and moved across multiple jurisdictions while still underage. She identifies Epstein's residences, flight patterns, intermediaries, and specific encounters, placing her allegations firmly inside the broader trafficking structure rather than as isolated claims. The testimony was preserved on video precisely because her lawyers anticipated that credibility, consistency, and demeanor would become central issues in the defamation battle that followed. In addition, he was Administrative Governor, managing and overseeing the Board’s operations, personnel, and financial performance. Prior to his appointment to the Board, from 2002 until 2006, Kevin served as Special Assistant to the President for Economic Policy, and Executive Secretary of the White House National Economic Council. TRUMP Warsh has compared Bitcoin favorably to gold as a “sustainable store of value,” indicating a positive view of gold’s role in the financial system.  However, his nomination led to sharp declines in gold and silver prices (e.g., silver fell up to 26% in one day), as markets interpreted him as an inflation hawk who might pursue tighter monetary policy, reducing the appeal of precious metals as inflation hedges.  This reaction stemmed from fears of less dovish Fed actions, which had previously driven gold’s rally amid uncertainty over Fed independence.  Warsh’s broader hawkish stance on inflation aligns with “hard money” principles that could indirectly support gold, but his emphasis on shrinking the Fed’s balance sheet and normalizing policy suggests he prioritizes institutional reform over promoting gold as a standard. Is Kevin Warsh Pro-Sound Money?Yes, Warsh is a strong advocate for sound money principles, emphasizing disciplined, anti-inflationary monetary policy. He views inflation as a “monetary phenomenon” and “a choice” driven by excessive government printing and spending.  As a former Fed Governor, he was often the most hawkish voice, opposing aggressive rate cuts during crises due to inflation risks.  He criticizes the Fed’s “mission creep,” oversized balance sheet, and reliance on quantitative easing (QE), arguing these enable fiscal irresponsibility and distort markets. Warsh calls for “regime change” at the Fed, shifting away from Keynesian models toward rules-based policy that incorporates money supply considerations and reduces interventionism. He stresses credibility, clear rules, and accountability to maintain sound money.   In a 2025 Hoover Institution paper, he advocated scrutinizing monetary policy under a framework that could include constitutional measures for prosperity and idea diffusion. Warsh has been vocal against Powell’s leadership, echoing Trump’s frustrations with high interest rates and calling for “regime change” at the Fed. He has moderated his hawkish stance to support lower rates, arguing AI-driven productivity allows growth without inflation. Credibility and Market Reassurance: Warsh is seen as a “traditional” pick with Fed experience, reassuring investors amid fears of a loyalist appointment that could undermine independence. The filing notes that Veliz has refused to pay a $998 per-day fine for the 943 days since she was told to return to her home country, and reveals that Immigration and Customs Enforcement sent her an official notice of her total fine in April. Taken together, it appears Jeffrey Epstein was drafting or shaping a message for Boris Nikolic that effectively functioned as blackmail, pressuring Bill Gates for financial compensation. However, later emails suggest Gates helped Nikolic launch his next investment fund and maintained a working relationship with him afterward. The Amber Hagerman Taskforce searched far and wide for suspects. Whether a perpetrator was known, like a Fort Lauderdale, Florida child rapist and killer, or was yet to be apprehended, such as the monster responsible for raping and killing a 12-year-old girl in a Houston suburb, there was certainly no shortage of suspects to scrutinize. Even an obsessive tipster came on the Taskforce's radar. But police investigating the January 13th abduction and subsequent murder of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman couldn't catch a break that led to an arrest, or enough proof that actually made them believe they'd identified their guy.
