Let's dive into wellness and weight loss for real life, including drinking, eating out, and skipping the grocery store. IN THIS EPISODE: (04:20) The creation of the Healthy Vibe Tribe(10:44) Discussion of the commitment level as a Healthy Vibe Tribe member(13:18) Noticing the transformation in healthy habits over 12 weeks(27:20) The Healthy Vibe Tribe principles made all the difference while traveling(33:37) Making the choice about drinking an alcoholic beverage(37:33) Going forward with the learnings from the Healthy Vibe Tribe(44:38) Tips on making life and health changes on your weight loss journeyKEY TAKEAWAYS:Weekly check-ins and shared goals fostered accountability and motivation, especially during busy times. Instead of fixating on the scale, shift your focus to how you feel—physically and emotionally. While tracking numbers offers helpful structure, lasting results come from staying present, consistent, and committed to progress over perfection.Being part of a supportive community and intentionally planning will help you maintain healthier habits during challenging times like vacations and conferences. Scheduling check-ins, packing snacks, and prioritizing wellness, can help you avoid the typical wellness pitfalls of travel.Transformation takes root when healthy decisions become second nature. This shift fosters a sense of empowerment and often inspires those nearby, creating a ripple effect that encourages collective growth. Consistent choices, made with intention, serve as a quiet but powerful example of what's possible when wellness becomes a way of life.QUOTES: (07:40) “Am I an example or a warning? You get to a point where you have to decide that time is important, and I don't want the quality of the subsequent decades of my life to be different because I kept saying, ‘Next Monday is gonna be the time.'” - Shannon: Healthy Vibe Tribe Member(21:31) “There's something really powerful about the words we use, not just in terms of lost weight, which many of you listeners know, is like nails on a chalkboard to me. We remove it, we release it.” - Jenn Trepeck(32:22) “But the point is that perfection is not required, and bringing the exercise clothes is still progress over where we've been before.” - Jenn Trepeck(35:04) “When we start to make quality choices, it inherently invites other people around us to do it too, in a way that's not pushy. Our consistency in healthier choices allows the people around us to adapt.” - Jenn Trepeck(40:19) “Accountability, even if it looks a little bit different, is keeping the things in place that we know helped us get here.” - Jenn TrepeckRESOURCES:Want to Jump Into Round 2 of the Healthy Vibe Tribe? From Paycheck to Paycheck to Property Portfolio: A Budget Coach's SecretsLet's face it, real estate investing is a rollercoaster. One minute you're riding high on a successful flip, the next you're grappling with a leaky roof (and a two-year-old who mysteriously clogged the sink, resulting in a ceiling renovation). But amidst the excitement and occasional plumbing nightmares, there's one constant that can make or break your success: your budget. This week, we had Zach Wechel, founder of MyBudgetCoach.com, on the show, and he shared some seriously savvy strategies. Forget the mental math and guesswork; Zach advocates for zero-based budgeting, a game-changer for anyone aiming to build wealth, whether it's in real estate or beyond.Zach's journey started unexpectedly—two kids and a pandemic created an urgent need for a budget. What followed was not only a transformed family life but a passion project that's helping countless others gain control of their finances. He emphasizes that budgeting isn't just about restricting spending; it's about intentionally allocating every dollar. Think of it as assigning each dollar a job before it even leaves your account. No more mysterious disappearances into the void of "miscellaneous spending"!Key Takeaways from Zach's Budget Wisdom:Zero-Based Budgeting: The cornerstone of Zach's approach, this method allocates every dollar to a specific category before spending. It's like assigning a job description to each dollar, preventing random spending sprees. This is particularly important for real estate investors who often deal with irregular income streams and unexpected expenses. The "Living Document" Budget: Zach stresses that a budget isn't a static document. It's a living, breathing entity that adapts to changing circumstances (like an unexpected water leak in your new investment property). Regularly review and adjust your budget as your life and priorities evolve. The Power of Planning: A budget isn't just about tracking spending; it's about planning for the future. Zach advocates for creating "buckets" for specific goals, like a down payment fund for your next investment property or even Christmas gifts (because let's face it, inflation hits even Santa's sleigh).Embrace the "Buckets": This is not a financial advice, but a life hack. Having specific buckets for goals like that next investment property, holiday spending, or even those inevitable emergency repairs can keep you on track, reducing stress and helping you stay ahead of the curve. The Accountability Partner (a Coach): Zach's platform, MyBudgetCoach, offers more than just an app. It provides access to certified financial coaches who can guide you, provide support, and ensure you stay accountable to your goals. Sometimes, having someone else to hold you accountable makes all the difference.Get Signed Up For MyBudgetCoach.com HERE!Watch the original VIDEO HERE!Book a call with SCOTT HERE!Love the show? Fr. Mike introduces us to the Book of Proverbs, while reflecting on the lack of devotion Israel has shown towards God and the Book of the Law. Much like God gave the Book of the Law to Israel, he's given the Bible to us to continue following him faithfully. Today's readings are 2 Kings 22, 2 Chronicles 33, and Proverbs 7. This chapter goes into the details of how to make this a reality in your marriage and family. No one in the world wants you to succeed more than your loving and devoted spouse. But it will take the two of you to make this work.
