I explore social and personal topics such as sexuality, tokenism, and identity with the aim to guide my audience's perspective and awaken awareness within their personal perception. "Dr. Anika Ackerman is a urologist with specialized areas of interest in sexual dysfunction, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, kidney stone disease, and BPH. Dr. Ackerman has been pursuing education in cosmetic medicine and training since medical school. She feels it is a privilege to be a physician and to help patients improve their health and well-being. She is also a firm believer in the statement, “If you don't like something about yourself, change it.” Dr. Ackerman strives to remain on the cutting edge of medicine and to practice compassionately as if she were treating her own parent or sibling. She uses her TikTok channel to educate both men and women about sexual dysfunction, hoping to break the taboo about talking about sexual health.I grew up and went to medical school in New Jersey, before heading to Duke for my residency. Midway through, I transferred to Columbia to finish my urology residency. I then moved back to Morristown, NJ to begin work at a urology practice. That led me to COR Med Spa, a spa that intrigued me because they were building out a sexual wellness program. It's such a taboo subject for women to discuss their sexual desires, so I saw this as my opportunity to give females the attention they deserve. It can be daunting when starting a career in sexual dysfunction. You can lack confidence for a number of reasons, and begin to wonder how you can incorporate it into your daily practice. It was hard having those initial conversations with patients, as most are afraid to ask the questions that need to be asked in order to get to the bottom of their issues. There are a lot of patients who don't realize there's a correlation between one of their health issues and sexual dysfunction, and correcting the blood pressure or managing diabetes will help to correct the issue. As a urologist specializing in sexual dysfunction, the biggest lesson I learned was that patients wanted to ask these questions, I just needed to get the conversation going. It's my goal to use my TikTok channel as a way to make sexual health both fun and educational. Before I had my channel, my reach only went as far as my patients, but with a platform like TikTok, my reach goes much further than the waiting room. I'm able to educate women about treatments they may have never heard of, whether it be for incontinence or sexual dysfunction. I've had patients drive more than two hours because they saw my videos, and I've been recognized in the ER. This new chapter of education is helping me normalize and bring awareness to sexual health and dysfunction, making it less taboo for both men and women to talk about."Read the Full Article HereYou can follow me on TikTok (https://www.tiktok.com/@dr.anika.ackerman) or Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/dr.anika.ackerman/?hl=en).

Alissa Kacar - How Women Can Succeed in Golf

"There are inevitably so many factors that go into achieving and then maintaining real success. Right at the forefront is understanding what you are really trying to achieve and what you will consider to be a satisfactory level of success when you get there. For me, achieving real success at something has always required the usual ingredients: preparation, practice, patience and perseverance, or a willingness to fail enough times to learn how to overcome and achieve a higher standard consistently. It has also always meant staying true to myself and doing it my way. When I discovered golf and started posting on social media about the trials and tribulations a beginner golfer goes through, I was truly surprised and gratified by the amount of support and encouragement I received. I felt a real and personal connection. So it has always been extremely important to me that the person that shows up in the posts at @NewLadyGolfer is really me, and that the story I tell there is the real story. Let's face it, there are lots of social media personalities out there and we will probably never know how many are an honest representation of the person behind the posts. That was never an option for me; I could never consider anything I might achieve to be a real success if the effort and (like golf) the results didn't have genuine integrity about them. That genuineness has to extend to everything I do. I don't compare myself to other golf influencers or social media personalities. Through my posts, I try to stay true to sharing each part of the golf journey my followers have decided to come along with me on. I like to “stay in my lane” and see where that takes me. It doesn't have to look or feel like anyone else's journey; it is simply what it is. That way, there is clarity and an inevitable uniqueness to the content that I hope makes it more interesting and compelling. Whether I will ever achieve true success on a golf course is in the hands of the golf gods, but telling the story of my golf journey genuinely and honestly in the content I post will always be the most important factor to the success I achieve in social media with @NewLadyGolfer.I was fortunate to be selected as the first official social media host for The Farmer's Insurance Open in 2020 and the experience I gained was invaluable. It has led to opportunities to host and create unique content for other golf tournaments and to TV hosting opportunities. I am currently hosting GolfLife, a golf lifestyle show that airs nationwide each month. I am also very excited to be teaming up with The Century Club again to host The Farmers Insurance Open in 2021. And of course, my work to improve my game on the golf course continues!"Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/newladygolfer/Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/alissa-kacar-12266811b/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/newladygolfer/

"I was born and raised in Juarez, Mexico and I migrated to El Paso, Texas at the age of 13. Despite not speaking any English, I began working to help support my parents with our financial situation by selling candies in school and cleaning restrooms.Later, when I was in high school, I decided to join the medical program at Bel Air High School and was accepted into the dental program. Working as a Dental Assistant was not my passion, but it seemed like the only option available to me, so I thought that was going to be my career. My parents never went to college and didn't know much about the process, so college was never a part of my plan.My counselor from high school was the only teacher who believed in me and encouraged me to apply to go to college. I decided to listen to him, and long story short, I was accepted into UTEP.I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) with a bachelor's in Computer Science and a minor in Math. I worked for NASA in the Summer of 2017 and the Summer of 2018. Later on, I interned at Apple where I got to meet Tim Cook. I'm currently working for an awesome company called Google.""This summer I had the privilege to be a NASA intern at the Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Cape Canaveral, Florida.Interns play a vital and important role at NASA. I worked with the cyber security branch, which allowed me to develop security information, event manager reports, and analyses to protect KSC's next Launch Control System. I learned about different cybersecurity concepts and assisted with protocols, vulnerability assessments and reports, patching reports, security monitoring, and malware scanning. I helped secure the center, its rockets, and its systems.NASA gives you the opportunity to be part of agency groups, and meet people from throughout the program across the United States. NASA employees always were willing to share knowledge that helped me grow. I was part of NASA's Hispanic Outreach and Leadership Alliance (HOLA), and Kennedy Networking Opportunities for Women (KNOW).I was nervous at the beginning of this journey because I left my friends, family, and city for the first time, but this experience was incredible. It impacted my life so much. This internship has prepared me better for my future. It helped me grow as a person, especially in my self-confidence. It proved to me that hard work pays off. These opportunities are not easy to obtain, but when you work hard, you get rewarded. This internship was a blessing and an opportunity for me. To work with one of the most amazing federal agencies had been one of my life's goals. I got to see a live launch for the first time in my life. I got to see behind the scenes and learn how they create rockets and new technology. I also had the honor to work and interact with people from different ethnicities and learn about their cultures. My favorite part of this internship was attending important events and meeting celebrities such as Vice President Mike Pence; U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Florida; and Buzz Aldrin, the second man to walk on the moon.It was a great experience. As a Hispanic student, it was an honor to represent The University of Texas at El Paso at NASA. Roe v Wade Overturned - History

"On June 24, 2022, the Supreme Court ruled in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization (JWHO). The ruling upheld Mississippi's ban on abortion at 15 weeks of pregnancy, overturned Roe v. Wade, and ended the federal constitutional right to abortion in the United States.By overturning Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court erased nearly 50 years of precedent. They took away our power to make our own personal medical decisions, and they gave that power to lawmakers. The court's decision most harms Black, Latino, Indigenous, and other people of color — communities for whom systemic racism has long blocked access to opportunity and health care. The ruling will have a ripple effect, spreading abortion bans across the United States. About half the states in the country could move to wipe out abortion access. Some of these states have policies that ban abortion immediately. Others are led by lawmakers who are hostile to abortion and have a history of passing abortion restrictions.Thirty-six million women, plus many others who can become pregnant, are at risk of losing abortion access in their state. The Supreme Court's Roe v. Wade ruling on January 22, 1973, decriminalized abortion nationwide. It gave people the right to access abortion legally all across the country and freed patients to access the health care they needed when they needed it without fear.Despite all the attacks on abortion rights, the Supreme Court had — until now — honored Roe v. Wade's core principle: that the Constitution protects a person's right to make their own private medical decisions, including the decision to have an abortion prior to fetal viability. The court honored that principle through decisions in key abortion rights cases, including Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania v. Casey and Whole Woman's Health v. Hellerstedt. So, what changed? The makeup of the Supreme Court. Three relatively new Supreme Court justices — Neil Gorsuch, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett — brought records hostile to reproductive health and rights to the court.Beyond the numbers, personal stories show that abortion is an essential health care service — no matter the reason."https://www.plannedparenthoodaction.org/issues/abortion/roe-v-wadePodcast Art: Hannah Packer

Allyson Bio:“I am a prosperity transformation coach. My mission in life is to end struggle and bring joy to the worlds of one million women and men. I developed Success Without Struggle: The Prosperity Approach because my own journey was filled with so much struggle, I practically choked on it every day. I started my online business in 2013 because I wanted to change my family tree from one filled with scarcity thinking and playing small, to prosperity thinking and playing HUGE! I wanted to make cool memories with my husband and our four children in exotic places around the world, and show them a better way to get to their dreams. And so I began my hike. By 2015 I'd built my company up to multiple six figures, bringing in about $25,000 a month. We'd never come close to making that kind of money! And for a while, we did get to make those cool memories in fun places: Hawaii, Disney World, cross-country trips, and road trips. We remodeled the house, bought new cars, and had fun buying things without having to look at the price tag. But there was a dark side to success. I was terrified I would fail, and I showered in self-doubt all day every day, second-guessed every idea I had, yearned for the weekends when I didn't have to spend every waking moment working my business, and lived in the agony of overwhelm and “not enough.” I was such a head case that I woke up at 2 am every morning with my guts twisted in anxiety thinking, “Oh NO! What have I done? I've created this lifestyle for my family…but what if I can't maintain this? What if I can't sustain this? WHAT IF WE LOSE IT ALL? What will we do?” The worst part was that I was fully aware that I was a head case! I KNEW I was getting in my own way! I KNEW I was making it harder than it actually was. And I had no idea how to stop. I micromanaged the journey, felt defeated before I even started, and hated my life because I felt so powerless. The belief that backed all the hard work I was putting into my business was that it was too big for me and that I couldn't handle it. So, slowly but as surely as night follows day, my business began to collapse. And no matter what I did—mentors, strategies, a marketing team, programs I implemented—nothing changed. I continually felt like I was dangling off the side of a mountain, naked and exposed to the elements, and slipping more every day. If you prefer the gentler slope as you Rise Up your mountain… (which is what I offer in my Rise Up Group Mentoring program) Or you want to be tethered to me as we thrill in the exhilaration of Ascending to the top and then Quantum Leaping to your next mountain… (which is what I do in my private mentorship, and is not for the faint of heart!) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B076HTT4S5/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_tkin_p1_i0

There is also now evidence that being affiliated with WWCode advantages women seeking interviews, such as a member who was told by SpaceX that one of the reasons they wanted to speak with her was because of her relationship with WWCode. While the lack of women in technology is a top-of-mind discussion in the U.S., it is a global issue. But despite the fact that you might be rocking sweats over slacks, Queenly co-founders Trisha Bantigue and Kathy Zhou say that they had half a million in sales last year, and over 100,000 people visit their website every day.“So many women bought dresses to just dress up and feel normal at home when everything else around the world was not,” Bantigue said. “It helped them feel grounded and stabilize themselves in this crazy chaotic pandemic environment.” The canceled events have also found new homes, such as Zoom weddings, Twitch pageants, socially distant proms, and graduation car parades. The co-founder added that content creators on TikTok and YouTube have also bought Queenly dresses." https://techcrunch.com/2021/02/18/yc-backed-queenly-launches-a-marketplace-for-formalwear/Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

Lauren coaches T1D'S all over the world to achieve optimal diabetes management using her 360-degree approach, emphasizing wellness throughout the mind, body, and soul. She will discuss how her diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes changed her whole life and took her down a path she never imagined for herself. https://laurenbongiorno.com/Lauren Bongiorno Bio:"When I was 19 and home from school on Christmas break, I walked into my endocrinologist's office and they told me something jaw dropping. The news? My A1C was a 5.7- the best it had ever been since being diagnosed at 7. When the doctor told me, my mom hugged me with the biggest smile on her face and my endocrinologist started bragging to the nurse how much of a “star” diabetic example I was. While this celebratory moment was going down between the nurse, my endocrinologist and my mom, I couldn't help but feel so defeated. I know, not what you'd expect to hear.  On paper I was healthy, but deep down inside I didn't feel that way... When everyone around you keeps telling you how strong and amazing you are, but the way you feel doesn't match up, you feel like a fraud and like you're letting them down. This shouldn't have been the case. But it's how I felt. In college I wanted to lose weight, stabilize my blood sugars, and feel more in control of my diabetes. But I went down the path of restriction and obsession which ultimately got me a near perfect A1C but left me with a horrible relationship with food, an unsustainably restrictive lifestyle, and feeling less in control of my life then ever before. In short, here's what I learned at that time of my life about diabetes management: if you're interested in eating every meal at home, saying no to the movies with friends because you know the popcorn will be too tempting, restricting carbs, spending every 30 seconds checking your blood sugar, and scheduling your life around cardio machines in FEAR of not being enough, striving for perfection, and proving your worth to others, then you too can have a perfect A1C.I realized at my rock bottom ( after losing my menstrual cycle for almost 5 years from putting so much stress on my body) that seeing the endocrinologist every 3-6 months and depending on her for a “one stop diabetes shop” wasn't going to help me holistically move into the life I wanted: having more peace of mind, confidence in myself, stronger mentally and physically, more energized empowered, a good friend/daughter/ girlfriend, and simply the best, kick ass version of myself...I eventually found that the answer was in unraveling my old habits in what I was thinking and doing, looking inwards at what did/ did not serve me, and building a new, stronger relationship with myself, my diabetes, exercise, food, stress...everything. I understand how it feels to be frustrated by lack of results and trying to figure out what the “right answer” is to feeling your best balanced self is. Trust me, I've tried it all, I get it. But the truth is, when you prioritize your self care mentally, emotionally, and physically, you don't have to choose between freedom and good blood sugars. You can have both. I was supposed to go to law school just like my dad ( my younger sister Dana is now his retirement plan!) I wanted to fight to improve our food and health care system. But I decided to become a health coach instead. I made a last minute switch because I realized I didn't want to fight for years and years to create change. I wanted to empower and guide others to see a better way of doing things for themselves."Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

As a Co-Founder, Madeleine has partnered with many elite firms such as SV Angel and Y Combinator, both startup seed funds. She will discuss how the recruiting model varies across high-profile companies and how Talentdrop plans to compete with those big named powerhouses. Madeleine Nguyen Bio:I'm originally from the SF Bay Area. I went to Georgetown University in DC for undergrad where I played Women's Golf and studied Classics. I then went to law school at Washington University in St. Louis where I became interested in employment law, which led me to explore careers in HR and Talent. I wanted to get into tech so I pursued opportunities in recruiting, starting at a firm (Riviera) then going in house to Instacart, Snapchat, and Uber between 2013-2019. I left to start Talentdrop!Talentdrop is turning recruiting into an open marketplace, where hiring companies post bounties for their open roles and any recruiter or other professional can collect it by referring a successful candidate. Companies get more people working on their hiring problem without having to pay more for it, and now anyone can earn big recruiting bonuses previously limited to a few firms.Professional recruiters can now monetize the excess candidate inventory created from their primary business. This is work they've already done but previously couldn't benefit from. Likewise, candidates won't have to start the vetting process over from scratch again and again since they'll be able to be referred with context and get warm intros into hot hiring companies that can be hard to access. Companies can also share candidates in a more efficient way (for example, Company A has two great product candidates but only one headcount - they can refer the second).Machine learning will help us make better hiring recommendations faster.Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

I moved around the world, then to the U.S., and a few months later I was spending all my weekends selling goods at a local flea market with my broken English. For a long time, this was my family's only income. I thought this was a normal teenager's life. I was just trying to navigate life in a different country while figuring out who I was. Before coming to the U.S., life was much simpler. I only had to go to school, get good grades, be the leading student in my class, and have fun with my friends. Everything else from household chores to preparing for food were all taken care of.Growing up as an Asian woman, I embraced the power of working hard. I had to get up early and work with my family, among other things to better my family and myself. I put on a “mask,” let's call it my “not-crying mask,” while continuously finding a way to get to the next level. I held a mentality back then that if I don't push myself no one will. I think my efforts paid off when I got two master's degrees and broke into the highly competitive cardiovascular surgery field.Strangely enough, despite how many marks I was able to check, I was not satisfied. This is a common saboteur for professionals called “Stickler,” and my version of it is “Miss Nothing is Good Enough.” I then decided to break out of my comfort zone to become an international speaker to empower women in healthcare like me. Myself, too, as I had to learn to neutralize “Miss Nothing is Good Enough.” I stepped outside of my comfort zone to become an international speaker to empower women in healthcare. With the right system they can have both — a powerful career and a passionate life without feeling overwhelmed, underappreciated, or being undervalued.Busy and ambitious healthcare professionals are burning out at record times while experiencing severe mental trauma during this pandemic. Reports also found that they are among 20% of the death rate caused by COVID-19. The stress will likely linger — we just passed the second wave, and now there's a potential third wave on the way.Healthcare workers are put in a tough spot, making impossible decisions and working under extreme pressure. They want to show up as the best practitioners but they are already overworked. A national medical research database, Medscape, found that 64 percent of physicians are more stressed out yet receive little support from their organizations during COVID19.After overcoming constant work-related stress, I now empower busy professionals to restore their mental immunity, reboot efficiency, and create a life they love."Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

She has gone through many ups and downs recovering from this dreadful day but her greatest joy in life has been becoming a mother. Inez is also one of the few people in the world to pass the level 3 Court of Master Sommeliers Advanced exam. She will discuss her journey through life post-9/11, and how she has continued to grow into an inspiring woman. Instagram: @inezribustelloInez Ribustello Bio:Inez Ribustello grew up in the small town of Tarboro, and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998 with a degree in journalism and mass communications, but her dream was to pursue a career in the culinary arts. She moved to New York City to attend ICE. After her externship she began a job at Best Cellars wine store. She went on to become an Assistant Cellar Master at the renowned World Trade Center restaurant Windows on the World. She was promoted to Beverage Director, making her the wine buyer for the largest grossing restaurant in North America. For two years, Ribustello worked in Atlantic City and was in charge of wine selection, service, and education for the Borgata's 11 restaurants. In 2002, she and her husband opened On the Square, a combination restaurant, wine bar, and wine store. In addition to running On The Square, she is an Adjunct Professor at East Carolina University in Hospitality Leadership, Wine & Beverage Management. That sheer coincidence, the randomness of her, and her now-husband Stephen Ribustello, both being off work that day, and her being home in North Carolina, is the backbone that holds together the two seasons of her life, as told in her new memoir Life After Windows. In it, Ribustello traces her journey from naive, privileged Southern belle to becoming one of the most powerful people in the New York wine scene during the dot com bubble. When the September 11 terror attacks destroyed her world, in both a literal and spiritual sense, she found herself back in the very town she vowed to never return to, opened On the Square, one of North Carolina's most heralded restaurants, and, eventually Tarboro Brewing Company.Ribustello's memoir is a microcosm of her personality — fast-paced, bubbly, with the occasional epithet tossed in to remind you that she's not the proper Southern girl she once was. But it's also raw and honest and at times gut-wrenchingly sad. For someone who lives and raises her family in the same small town where she grew up, that kind of brutal honesty, about her struggles to return to her Christian faith after 9/11, about how the restaurant industry both brought her some of her greatest joys and lowest lows, about any myriad of issues that “we just don't talk about in public,” can be terrifying. Ribustello seems to approach the act of revealing her entire life to the world with the same pragmatic optimism she has leaned on to get her through the past 20 years. The book is woven through with opportunities to take a break from the dark stuff and laugh, and one would imagine that's exactly how Ribustello lives her life. When things get hard, when the world gets dark, there is always family, friends, work, and of course, laughter.Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

Learning the basics of many of the 35 languages represented in Alperton's student population, including Hindi, Punjabi, Nigerian and Ghanaian, Andria has been able to reach out to her once marginalized students to earn their trust and, crucially, establish relationships with their parents, many of whom do not speak English. Andria has gone against the grain, taking the time to understand her students' lives beyond school by visiting their homes, riding with them on the bus, and standing at the school gates with police officers to welcome students as they arrive at the start of the school day. Thanks to her efforts, Alperton is now in the top 1 to 5% of the country in terms of qualifications and accreditations.  Andria will discuss her book, “Those Who Can, Teach” and the many hardships that teachers have had to overcome while being very underappreciated by society.https://www.andriazafirakou.com/Instagram & Twitter: @andriazafAndria Zafirakou Bio:Andria teaches at Alperton Community School, a secondary school academy in the inner city borough of Brent. It's no easy task. Brent is one of the most ethnically diverse places in the country and 130 languages are spoken in its schools. Pupils come from some of the poorest families in Britain, many sharing one house with five other families and others exposed to gang violence in the London borough with the third highest murder rate in the UK. Children arrive at the school with limited skills and already feel isolated from staff and each other, making engaging with them all the more difficult and all the more vital. The odds were stacked against her succeeding, but Andria defied them. Working as an art and textiles teacher and as a member of the senior leadership team tasked with earning the trust of her pupils and their families to better understand the complex lives they've come from, she redesigned the curriculum across all subjects from scratch  while carefully working alongside other teachers so that it resonates with her pupils. She helped a music teacher launch a Somali school choir and she created alternative timetables to allow girls-only sports that would not offend some of the more conservative communities, leading the girls' cricket team to win the McKenzie Cup.Learning the basics of many of the 35 languages represented in Alperton's pupil population, including Gujarati, Hindi, Punjabi, Nigerian and Ghanaian, Andria has been able to reach out to her once marginalized students to earn their trust and, crucially, establish relationships with their parents, many of whom do not speak English. Among such inhibiting factors she hypothesized that limiting beliefs developed through life and work place anxieties may be significant contributors to practitioners' lack of actual performance. This research has led Dr. Gubacs-Collins to the study of Meridian Based Therapies such as EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and to Kinesiology Muscle Testing. To advance her studies Dr. Gubacs-Collins has received several certificates in the above-mentioned areas and is using her knowledge of the past many years to develop a research line and course of study in the effectiveness of Meridian Based Therapies and Kinesiology Muscle Testing. In addition, Dr. Gubacs-Collins is working with athletes and performers from MSU to reduce and eliminate performance anxiety in their respective fields. She, herself, also loves to perform and play sports and many of the sports she teaches she played and/or coached on a competitive level at one time or another. Her latest achievement was to complete a feat of winning the Ridgewood Country Club Golf Championship, a became the champion of all sports offered in this club; this was a first in the club's history. She developed a blueprint for winning and to helps people in all areas of life at MSU become the “champion” they were meant to be.Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

She is now based back on her family farm in Cooraclare, County Clare where she matures new make spirit in a purpose built bonded rackhouse and blends it with mature whiskey to create the brand's signature style. Here, she speaks to Candice Tucker about the whiskey bonding process, the advantages of being a woman and the rising demand for Irish whiskey"Of course, my experiences will be shared by all women who work in such industries, but I think it's very powerful to be underestimated. Irish whiskey continues to be a mostly older male environment and most of them scoffed at me when I started the business, but I went on to launch the first ever design led luxury Irish whiskey and this year made Drinks International Top Ten bestselling Irish Whiskey list, so who's scoffing now? When you are underestimated you can fly under the radar and achieve incredible things without anybody standing in your way as you are not perceived as a threat.""I have built and am continuing to build the most comprehensive library of flavours of Irish whiskey in my rackhouse. We operate in a similar way to a perfumer: we build a whiskey by blending layers of flavours together. By ensuring I have styles of whiskey from multiple craft producers I have a really vibrant pool of flavours to pull from. This results in utterly unique whiskies and styles."Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

You see, problem solving is what I LIVE for, and to show just how much it means to me, I once rapped Vanilla Ice's “If you got a problem, YO! I'll solve it!” in an interview with four Executives and an HR rep (which I was subsequently hired for because they know commitment when they see it).In 2020, I transferred from Computer Information Systems to Information Science and Technology at UArizona, where I met and fell in love with Data Science and the R programming language!Prior to this, I've had a long and wonderful career in multiple fields, earning a wide range of knowledge and broad skill set to match. I've worked in the Energy sector and for the Army as a Technology Scout, researching new and emerging innovations for, taught myself web design about a decade ago when I spent obscene amounts of time in downtown Las Vegas and have gone from making fun of Squarespace and Wix to using them primarily for my clients.People say I'm pretty funny, but really, it's just that I love to laugh and share in the joy of others in nearly every moment of every day. Humor is vital to my life, as is excellent communication and holding firm to a set of values to guide me. I know it's cliché, but it's true that team synergy, a group that cares about and roots for each other both inside and outside of the office is what I'm looking for. I'm not interested in climbing a ladder unless I'm doing it with my team.My husband and I unexpectedly fostered and adopted two young girls, and in that time, I've found that flexibility and putting them first is paramount to living a balanced life. I tend to incorporate my career into my life rather than having it be two separate things, and this seems to work really well because I do my best work in cycles.I'm all about the results-oriented workflow which frees me up to use my time wisely. I can be very intense so have become good at knowing when I need to take a break and when I can harness the power, so whether it's 3AM or 11PM, I'm meeting deadlines with excellent, high quality work.I've been to War twice but deployed three times, won a National Championship (and everything else I competed in) as a professional athlete for the U.S. Army and was once asked to try out for the Army Marksmanship Team because I'm also a crack shot. I have been Time Magazine's Person of the Year - twice, in fact - once in 2003, and then again in 2006, and I'm not above using emojis alongside the written word. I also volunteer much of my time and am a firm believer I was meant to serve.Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!

He and his wife, Marcy Myles-Clark, thought it might have just been another busy week at work. Then, a cough developed; then a fever. Both Tee and Marcy were eventually diagnosed with COVID-19.Marcy, who had a milder case, started to feel better. However, Tee's condition continued to get worse. He went to Howard County General Hospital, where an X-ray showed he had COVID-19-related pneumonia. He was admitted, placed on a ventilator, and soon transferred to The Johns Hopkins Hospital.Tee spent a total of 28 days on a ventilator in an intensive care unit (ICU). Marcy says there were several tough moments during that time. Tee's condition was so grave at one point, she was allowed to don protective gear to safely visit him in the hospital. Fortunately, he made it through. Marcy believes that a 100-plus person international prayer group she formed, called the “TC Prayer Warriors,” made all the difference in getting them through the ordeal. Both during and after Tee's ICU stay, a team of physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, rehabilitation physicians and psychologists provided intensive rehabilitation services to rebuild his muscles and improve his endurance, swallowing and voice — all of which were severely affected by COVID-19 —as well as help with anxiety that developed as a result of his illness. After 46 days, Tee left the hospital on May 6. He lost 40 pounds and had muscle weakness, but both he and Marcy were happy and thankful they could still celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary, which was the day before his hospital release. Marcy says his doctors called him a “walking miracle.”Make sure to subscribe & review Lady Empire above for the opportunity to be featured!
