Senator Joe Manchin & Heather Manchin. Their Plan To Break The Two-Party Machine. Why Montana Could Change Everything.

The Independent Movement's Tipping Point. How One Senate Seat And Two Or Three House Seats Are All It Takes To Break Both Parties. For the first time on Independent Americans, Senator Joe Manchin and Heather Manchin sit down with Paul Rieckhoff to lay out exactly how they plan to break the grip of the rigged two-party system. Joe Manchin knows what one honest vote can do — he was the deciding vote in a 50-50 Senate and got more done in the 117th Congress than most Congresses in a generation. Heather Manchin brings the business mind: mapping the billions of dollars flowing left and right, the closed primaries in 16 states that shut independents out, and the digital strategy needed to punch through the echo chambers and actually win. Together, they make the case that this is the tipping point — and that a handful of independent seats in the House and Senate could change everything. And that their efforts through their new Independent Leadership Council initiative can help to propel that change. The conversation goes deep on Montana, where combat veteran Seth Bodnar now has a true three-way shot after the DSCC's preferred Democrat refused to step aside and the GOP hand-picked a Trump rubber stamp. Joe and Heather explain why independent veterans are the natural leaders of this movement, why the "spoiler" slander is draconian and antiquated, and why building a leadership pipeline from mayors and school boards up to the Senate is how you actually rewire American politics. It's a candid, tactical, and deeply hopeful conversation about turning frustration into structural power — and doing it before the 2026 midterms. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Check out the Independent Leadership Council here. -Millions of American veterans are being locked out of primary elections in the country they served. Thomas Sowell is one of the thinkers I have recommended for years, particularly for his criticism of simplistic explanations for racial disparities. But I think one of the central arguments in Black Rednecks and White Liberals does not hold up as well as many conservatives assume. In this reaction, I respond to Hunter Matz's discussion of Sowell's thesis on the Joe Rogan Experience and examine the argument that Southern “redneck” culture was largely responsible for the cultural problems of black Americans.I look at the West Indies comparison, the distinction between Appalachian and Southern plantation culture, the influence of the planter class, the history of slavery and Reconstruction, Northern education, Booker T. Washington, the Great Society, and the cultural changes that followed. My argument is not that culture does not matter. Quite the opposite. Culture matters enormously. But history is complicated, and I do not think we can explain modern black American problems by simply pointing to Southern rednecks. As I say toward the end of the video, I have not argued that anything is in anyone's DNA or blamed one group of white people for everything. I am arguing that the history is more complicated than this particular explanation allows.Jon's Music: jonharristunes.comTo Support the Podcast: https://www.jonharrismedia.com/support/Become a Patronhttps://www.patreon.com/jonharrispodcastSubstack: https://substack.com/@jonharris Follow Jon on Twitter: https://twitter.com/jonharris1989Follow Jon on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jonharris1989/00:00 – Why I Am Reacting to Joe Rogan02:43 – Thomas Sowell's “Black Rednecks” Thesis04:00 – The Problem With the West Indies Comparison06:35 – Are Ghettos and Black Culture Unique to America?08:33 – Did Black Americans Simply Adopt “Redneck Culture”?10:00 – The Cornwall and Ebonics Argument12:10 – Who Actually Lived in the Southern Black Belt?15:35 – Why Eugene Genovese Matters16:58 – Reconstruction, Education, and Booker T. I want to alert you, so you don’t miss out on expert analysis and insider perspectives from my guests who provide tips that can help you uplift the community, improve your financial planning, motivation, or advice on how to be a successful entrepreneur. Keep winning! Two-time Emmy and Three-time NAACP Image Award-winning, television Executive Producer Rushion McDonald interviewed Attorney S. Diane Clair. A Georgia-based attorney, real estate law professor at Kennesaw State University, and founder of a law practice specializing in real estate, estate planning, probate, business, and contract law. The discussion focuses on wealth building through real estate investing, asset protection, and estate planning strategies for generational wealth. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Purpose of the Interview The primary purpose of the interview was to: Educate listeners about real estate investing opportunities, including lesser-known strategies such as tax liens and tax deeds. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Stress the importance of working with qualified legal professionals instead of relying on Google, social media, AI tools, or generic legal templates. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Promote wealth preservation through estate planning, particularly trusts and business structures. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Encourage minority communities to create estate plans and pass wealth to future generations. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Key Takeaways 1. Don't Rely Solely on Google, Social Media, or AI for Legal Advice Clair warns that many individuals attempt to create wills, trusts, and legal documents online without professional guidance. She emphasizes that legal matters require experienced attorneys because AI and internet sources may provide incomplete or incorrect information. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Why it Matters Legal mistakes can create costly problems later. AI-generated content can be inaccurate. Estate planning and real estate transactions require professional review. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] 2. Real Estate Is a Powerful Wealth-Building Tool Clair argues that real estate remains one of the strongest ways to build and transfer wealth between generations. She highlights its relative stability compared to stock market fluctuations. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Benefits Mentioned Builds long-term wealth Generates passive income Creates assets that can be inherited Helps achieve financial freedom [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] 3. Start Real Estate Investing Through a Business Entity One of Clair's first recommendations is to establish a legal business structure before purchasing investment properties. Recommended Structures LLC Corporation Other formal business entities [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] She repeatedly stresses that investment assets ideally should not be owned in an individual's personal name. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] 4. You Don't Need Large Amounts of Money to Invest A major myth she debunks is that real estate investing requires significant capital. Entry-Level Strategies Tax liens Tax deeds Foreclosure purchases Fix-and-flip projects Rental properties [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] According to Clair, investors can begin with relatively small amounts by purchasing tax liens and earning interest when property owners redeem them. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] 5. Estate Planning Is Largely Ignored Clair shares a startling statistic: Approximately 64% of Americans do not have an estate plan. Among minorities, that number rises to about 70%. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] She believes the problem is educational rather than financial, noting that even wealthy celebrities frequently fail to plan their estates. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] 6. Trusts Are Better Than Wills for Many Situations Clair strongly favors trusts, especially irrevocable trusts, as vehicles for preserving wealth. Advantages of Trusts Avoid probate Potential tax benefits Asset protection Easier transfer of wealth Can operate while the creator is still alive [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Difference Between a Will and a Trust Will Takes effect after death Goes through probate court Directs distribution of assets [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Trust Can function during the owner's lifetime Avoids probate Can provide stronger protection and tax advantages [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] 7. Asset Protection Is Essential Clair explains that trusts can own: Real estate Bank accounts Businesses Investments Other valuable assets [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Because the trust, rather than the individual, owns the property, there can be additional protection from lawsuits and claims. [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Notable Quotes On Legal Services Beyond Personal Injury Law "You can hire lawyers for way more, and we can assist you in way more." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Using AI for Legal Matters "AI is not really something you want to trust... It creates and makes up stuff." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Professional Guidance "You want to book a consultation with an attorney." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Real Estate Investing "A lot of people have that misconception that you have to have a lot of money to start investing in real estate, and that's not true." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Generational Wealth "Real estate is something that is the best thing to invest in and pass down to future generations." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Estate Planning "This is not a money thing... It's an education thing." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Trusts "The best estate planning instrument is always going to be a trust." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] On Asset Ownership "Don't have anything in your own name, have it in the name of the trust or in the business." [S. DIANE CLAIR | Txt] Overall Message Attorney Diane Clair's central message is that wealth creation and wealth preservation must work together. Building assets through real estate is important, but equally important is protecting those assets through proper business structures, trusts, estate planning, and professional legal guidance. The interview encourages listeners, especially entrepreneurs and minority communities, to think long term about generational wealth, asset protection, and financial legacy rather than short-term gains. The Latest Proposal to Tax Roth IRAs: Should you be worried?

Should you stop doing Roth conversions as part of your retirement planning after Senator Ron Wyden's new legislation targeting specific retirement accounts? David McKnight breaks down the key aspects of the proposal and what it actually means for the average American (and their retirement).  Show Notes In this episode, David McKnight looks at whether you should stop doing Roth conversions following Senator Ron Wyden's introduction of legislation for taxing Roth IRAs. For David, 99.9% of Americans should continue investing in Roth accounts with a high degree of confidence. One of the biggest misconceptions floating around is that Congress wants to start taxing everyone's Roth IRA.  However, that is simply not what Senator Wyden's proposal does, as its focus are so-called mega-retirement accounts. These are retirement accounts – whether traditional IRAs, Roth IRAs, or Roth 401(k)s – that have grown to extraordinary sizes, often tens or even hundreds of millions of dollars. Senator Wyden's proposal only applies to taxpayers with very high incomes ($400,000 for individuals; $450,000 for married couples) and only if your combined retirement accounts exceed $10 million. In other words, if you don't have more than $10 million spread across your retirement accounts, the proposal doesn't apply to you. Do you exceed that threshold? Then, know that the proposal would require annual distributions from the excess amount. The rule becomes even more restrictive when balances exceed $20 million. David believes that the average American shouldn't be nervous about investing in Roth accounts – he shares four reasons why. Reason #1: Congress likes Roth accounts, because, from a Government's perspective, Roth accounts accelerate tax revenue. The second reason is the fact that Roth assets are still a relatively small piece of the retirement landscape. "Most retirement money in America is still sitting inside traditional tax-deferred accounts", he explains. Reason #3: the Government has always had an implicit agreement with America on Roth accounts. The fourth reason why David doesn't believe you should be nervous about investing in Roth accounts is that they're still your best protection against what's coming down the road. The national debt is set to grow by $2 trillion per year over the next 10 years and $3 trillion per year after that. According to a Penn Wharton study, once the country hits a debt-to-GDP of 200% in 2040, no combination of increasing taxes or cutting spending will prevent the nation's financial collapse. That's why, David is confident that around 2035 Congress will have little choice but to tax increases. In this episode of the Explaining History Podcast, we are joined by John McDonagh, professor of practice at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, former Massachusetts state legislator, and key architect of Obamacare. He is here to discuss his new book, America's Wrong Turn: U.S. Healthcare in the Neoliberal Era – a searing diagnosis of how a revolution in economic thinking turned the American healthcare system into a global outlier. The United States spends more on healthcare than any other advanced nation – by a staggering margin – yet its health outcomes rank near the bottom. Life expectancy has been declining since 1980. The infant mortality rate is embarrassingly high. And while every other wealthy country covers 99–100% of its citizens, the U.S. still leaves millions uninsured.John explains how a single chart – showing U.S. healthcare spending as a percentage of GDP – reveals the story. In 1980, the U.S. was the highest spender but still in the pack. Then something happened. Around 1982–83, the U.S. "jackrabbited" away from every other nation. The culprit? The neoliberal revolution – the ideas of Milton Friedman, Friedrich Hayek, and the Mont Pelerin Society – that captured American policy under Ronald Reagan and transformed healthcare from a public good into a site of value extraction.John traces how monopoly capitalism, private equity, and the mantra of "maximising shareholder value" have hollowed out the system. Hospitals are bought by private equity firms, stripped of their land and buildings, and turned into tenants paying exorbitant rents. Two companies now control 90% of dialysis care. Antitrust enforcement has collapsed. The result is a system that Americans hate – but feel powerless to change.Yet John is an optimist. He argues that the feedback loop of public revulsion is building, and that the neoliberal era – though its effects persist – is over. The seeds of hope lie in renewed antitrust activism, grassroots organising, and the eventual replacement of a corrupt administration.Topics covered:U.S. healthcare spending vs. outcomesThe 1980s inflection pointThe neoliberal revolution and its key thinkersMonopoly capitalism in healthcarePrivate equity and value extractionThe collapse of antitrust enforcementMilton Friedman's "shareholder value" doctrineThe NHS and the politics of healthcareHope for reformJohn McDonagh's America's Wrong Turn is published by Johns Hopkins University Press. In this video, Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger discuss reports that Tucker Carlson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Thomas Massie, Joe Kent, and other former MAGA Republicans are exploring a political movement that could potentially evolve into a new party centered on an anti-war, genuinely "America First" platform. Jimmy says he welcomes the group's stated opposition to foreign wars and foreign lobbying while expressing skepticism about whether it will become a genuine alternative to the Republican Party or simply influence it from within. The discussion also argues that bipartisan support for military intervention and corporate influence in politics are major obstacles to meaningful political reform, while calling for a broader coalition that crosses traditional left-right divides. Throughout the segment, Jimmy emphasizes anti-war politics, campaign finance reform, and reducing the influence of special interests in U.S. government.

Episode 4202 │ August 10, 2026 Congress never approved a national camera network. Corporations built one anyway — county commission by county commission, one at a time. WHAT THIS EPISODE COVERS  Scott Kesterson maps the rapid expansion of Flock Safety's automatic license plate reader network — now over 113,000 cameras nationwide despite Congress never approving a national surveillance program — and exposes the mechanism that made it possible: companies offer counties the first year free, bypassing public hearings because sheriffs can approve donations without commission votes, then leverage near-zero churn once the poles are in the ground and the data lock-in is established, a $7.5 billion company built on the same renewal model as municipal fluoride contracts. Scott confirms that FBI preliminary 2025 data shows violent crime down 9.3%, murder down 18.1%, and property crime down 12.4%, even as 69% of survey respondents believe crime is rising nationally — a fear-driven perception gap that political incentive structures exploit, since a sheriff's career survives a privacy violation but rarely survives a preventable crime, and the episode traces the documented pattern of FBI entrapment cases like the Newburgh Four and a Portland bombing plot to warn what AI-scanned camera networks will do once they begin flagging repeated drive-bys as suspicious behavior with no discernment. The episode closes with a practical action plan: a free downloadable Citizens Field Guide under Bards FM's downloads section that walks any resident through auditing their county's ALPR data-sharing agreements, building the specific evidence needed to bring a real argument to a county commission for non-renewal. KEY QUESTIONS ADDRESSED  How did a national surveillance network of over 113,000 automatic license plate readers get built when Congress never approved one — and why does the county-by-county corporate strategy, offering free first-year cameras that bypass public hearings, mirror the same model that made fluoride contracts nearly impossible to remove once installed? Why does crime perception run in the opposite direction of actual crime statistics — with FBI data showing violent crime down 9.3% and murder down 18.1% in 2025 while 69% of Americans believe crime is rising — and what does that gap reveal about how fear rather than data drives acceptance of surveillance technology? What does the documented pattern of FBI entrapment cases like the Newburgh Four and a Portland bombing plot reveal about what happens when AI-scanned camera networks start flagging repeated drive-bys as suspicious — and what specific action can any resident take right now to audit their county's camera data-sharing agreements? As news of Trump sneaking off Air Force One continues to make headlines, people are questioning the decision to leave unsuspecting journalists and White House staff members on a plane that had a credible enough threat to remove the President from it. Air Force One essentially became a decoy aircraft to hide Trump’s actual ride, a nearby military jet. Reaction online has been swift and harsh, many calling the President a coward, shameful and weak for hiding in a catering truck while Americans were potentially put in harms way. Most Americans checked out for August. Paul Rieckhoff didn't. From a beach house on Long Island, he cuts a fast, urgent episode to hit what the corporate media won't touch: today is primary day in Connecticut, Minnesota, Vermont, and Wisconsin, and across those four states 21 of 22 U.S. House races are effectively decided before November ever arrives. Connecticut is the sharpest example — the only fully closed primary this week — where 935,892 unaffiliated voters, the largest voting bloc in the state, are legally barred from casting a ballot in the election that will actually pick their representatives. Paul breaks down the numbers town by town, names the 129,563 Connecticut veterans caught in that lockout, and explains why so many of them refuse to join a party on principle — the same principle they swore an oath to defend. Then he pivots to Montana, where Democrat Alani Bankhead just blew past the 5 p.m. deadline to drop out, guaranteeing she'll split the anti-Republican vote and torpedo independent veteran Seth Bodnar's shot at an incumbent Trump rubber-stamper. It's a rigged two-party system on full display in a single news cycle — and a reminder that nobody else is counting these voters, so we will. -WATCH full video of this episode here. -Check the IVA overview of Washington State's primary this week.  -Millions of American veterans are being locked out of primary elections in the country they served. The House of Representatives has voted to make daylight saving time permanent in the United States. If the measure is approved by the Senate and becomes law, most Americans would no longer spring forward in March or fall back in November. For more than a century, changing the clocks has been used to make better use of daylight, but the practice has long divided opinion. Supporters argue it boosts productivity and removes the disruption of changing the clocks twice a year. Critics warn that permanent daylight saving time could affect health and road safety as people face darker winter mornings.Around the world, governments have taken different approaches. Some have scrapped seasonal clock changes altogether, while others continue to observe them. We examine why daylight saving time was introduced and whether the case for changing the clocks still stacks up today. Is Muscle Power More Important Than Strength For Longevity?

    The B.rad Podcast

In your 30s, you start to lose a certain percentage of muscle tissue year over year, and that rate really accelerates when you hit 60. But everything we've been told about the importance of maintaining muscle as you age is roughly around half right. Maintaining muscle mass and muscle strength is a key driver of longevity, but even more important is maintaining muscle power and explosiveness. They are not the same. A recent 10-year study of nearly 4,000 adults revealed that those with lower muscle power and explosiveness had a six to seven times higher mortality risk compared to the strongest, most powerful group, while differences in pure strength were insignificant once age and health history were factored in. I explain the difference between sarcopenia and dynapenia, why muscle power is the first thing you lose and you lose it more quickly than anything else, and why we lose our anaerobic conditioning, muscle strength, and power at around 40% per decade, compared to roughly 10% for aerobic conditioning. I also share practical ways to develop and preserve muscle power and explosiveness safely, so you can maintain that important attribute throughout life and avoid the devastating consequences of falls. TIMESTAMPS: Muscle mass and muscle strength are not the same but both are key drivers to longevity. [01:01] Sarcopenia is age-related loss of muscle mass or muscle strength. Dynapenia is the age-related loss of muscle power and explosiveness. [02:25] Training has risen in the level of sophistication where athletes can perform better. [05:16] We have an obligation to hone things like coordination, balance, agility, and timing. [07:22] Dynapenia is defined as the loss of the nervous system's ability to recruit what muscle you still have. [10:10] Muscle mass declines the slowest. Muscle strength declines faster than muscle mass declines. Muscle power declines faster than all the others. [14:29] Falls should be in our central focus as something that is really concerning to us. Overall, there are 14 million aging Americans who fall every year, resulting in three million emergency room visits. [19:20] How do you train for power specifically as opposed to just building your muscular strength? [20:34] All manner of complex kinetic chain acuity starts with your feet. Your feet play a huge role in balance stability, proper movement through the kinetic chain and proper execution. It's Tuesday, August 11th, A.D. 2026. This is The Worldview in 5 Minutes heard on 140 radio stations and at www.TheWorldview.com.  I'm Adam McManus. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Timothy Reed Canada euthanized Christian grandmother against her will The nation of Canada continues down the dark path of euthanasia. This time, comes this shocking story, where the state euthanized Brigitte Stegemann, an 83-year-old Christian grandmother, against her will and the will of her family. On the Euthanasia Prevention Coalition blog, her granddaughter said,  “One of our greatest ethical concerns is that GG had explicitly declined [Medical Assistance in Dying], stating it violated her Christian faith. Once a vulnerable patient explicitly declines this path, the facility should never have targeted her for re-evaluation behind closed doors while her primary advocate was away.” More than 5% of all deaths in Canada are attributed to Medical Assistance in Dying. It is the fifth leading cause of death there. Psalm 94:4 and 6 cries out: “How long shall they utter and speak hard things and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves? … They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.” Severe drought in Europe and blazing hot July in America God has brought a severe drought on Europe. Since 1836, the month of July was the driest for England and Wales in recorded history, reports Reuters. Similarly, the United States experienced the hottest July since 1895.  Also, March 2026 was the hottest March ever — 9.4° above the 20th-century average. Ukraine drone attack killed 13 Russians, injured 75 Ukraine's drone attack on Russia's oil hub killed 13 citizens and wounded another 75 over the weekend, reports PBS.  Russia says they shut down 450 drones. In addition, Russia killed 21 people in Kyiv in this ongoing drone-based tit-for-tat warfare. The changing military alliances overseas Internationally, nations are lining up in allied positions. Just last week, Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia signed a pact, in which all three nations agreed that an attack on any of the three nations would be taken as an attack on all. Pakistan's relationship with China has also warmed up considerably.   China supplies Pakistan's military weaponry and Pakistan strongly supports Beijing on Taiwan, Xinjiang, Tibet, Hong Kong, and the South China Sea. If we include China's growing relationship with Russia, this axis of powers now holds 6,100 nuclear warheads in total, almost exactly the same number held by the allied powers of the United States, the United Kingdom, France, India, and Israel.  Keep in mind: God is over all the armies of the Earth. Isaiah 13:4–5 states that “The LORD of hosts musters the army for battle. They come from a far country, from the end of Heaven, the LORD and His weapons of indignation, to destroy the whole land.” Columbia hit by major earthquake Another devastating earthquake hit Colombia yesterday morning, killing 111 people, reports the Associated Press. It was 7.4 on the Richter scale. This follows another 7.5 earthquake in Venezuela a few weeks ago, that killed 5,000 people. Colombia produces 80% of the world's cocaine.  However, Friday marked the first day in office for Colombia's new president —  Abelardo de la Espriella. He is an admirer of President Donald Trump and had promised an "all-out war" on the drug cartels. South America has swung to the right over the last few years. Now eight countries are led by presidents who would align more with President Donald Trump. Only three South American nations are led by presidents that bend towards the left including Brazil, Bolivia and Venezuela. Two-thirds of Americans support the death penalty Pew Research has found that Americans favor the use of the death penalty for murder convictions, in line with Genesis 9:6.   A full two-thirds of Americans say they favor the death penalty, and only 32% oppose it.  The numbers have remained about the same for the last seven years. Yet, in the first half of 2026, capital juries chose not to execute the murderer at least 19 times, more often than to execute. Murders in America average 15,000 per year, yet on average, only 23 murderers are put to death.  That's one-tenth of one percent!  And this year, only 19 murderers have received the death penalty.  Genesis 9:6 says, “Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in His own image.” Network for Hope shut down for its immoral organ donor system The Department of Health and Human Services has decertified Network for Hope, an organ transplant organization that was exposed for unsafe and immoral practices. Heidi Klessig of Life Site News explained, “Removing Network for Hope's certification was absolutely necessary, but will not address the most pressing problem underlying our current organ donation system: organ donors must be biologically alive in order to donate viable organs.” Attorney General Todd Blanche eager to end mail-order abortions And finally, newly appointed Attorney General Todd Blanche has pledged to work towards solidifying pro-life gains across the country, as well as to end mail-order abortions. Not surprisingly, all Democrats voted against Blanche's nomination.   According to Americans United for Life, “Through his statements and actions as Acting Attorney General, Mr. Blanche has shown himself to be a sincere advocate for human life and a faithful servant of President Trump's pro-life agenda.”  And Blanche himself has stated, “If states have said, ‘We are going to protect the unborn and we're going to protect every life from the moment of conception,' we're putting practices and policies in place so that other states and other organizations can't attack that. They can't do things like they're doing with mailing in mail-order drugs.” Close And that's The Worldview on this Tuesday, August 11th, in the year of our Lord 2026. Print story United States exits United Nations Livestock group The United States government is pulling out of the United Nations' Global Plan of Action for Sustainable Livestock Transformation, The New American reported.  The decision, announced by the Officer for the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Paul Welcher, comes because the declaration promotes climate change, so-called equality, and other radical policies.  Per Politico, “The plan, which is completely voluntary, was finally adopted by delegates on Friday [July 17]. It advises countries to address issues such as biodiversity, animal welfare, emissions and how to prevent the spread of disease.”

As the U.S. birth rate continues to decline, some politicians are calling for policies that encourage Americans to have more children, otherwise known as pronatalism—even as abortion access, contraception, and maternal health care face growing challenges. Professor Carolette Norwood explains what pronatalism is, why debates over population growth are often intertwined with race and immigration, and how these conversations intersect with reproductive justice and policy.   For more on this topic: Read an interview with Norwood in The Hilltop, Pronatalism and the Politics of Childbirth Check out her article, More than Abortion: Why Reproductive Justice Matters in Cincinnati Post-Roe, co-written with Thembi Carr and published in the Journal of Women, Politics & Policy Read her paper, Forced to Birth: A Case Study of Ohio's Six-Week Abortion Ban, Its Impact on Black Women in Cincinnati and Its Relevance for Reproductive Justice in Ohio and Beyond, published in Health Matrix: The Journal of Law-Medicine

    This week Seth Paridon and John Parshall take a look at the unfortunate, but inevitable, end of the defense of Bataan. After months of defending the peninsula valiantly, and short on everything but guts, the defenders finally capitulate under the guns and relentless assault of the Japanese army. Sick, exhausted, demoralized, and flat worn out, the Americans and Filipinos do the best they can against the fresh troops of General Homma's 14th army. Unfortunately for General Jonathan Wainwright's men, the best they can do at this stage is simply not enough. Bereft of supplies, food, medicine, and everything but Japanese, the inevitable defeat of the Fil-American forces on Bataan finally comes to fruition. And while the fighting is over, the misery for the defenders and those who survived the campaign is about to begin. Tune in to hear the final epic story of the heroic defense of the Philippines in 1942. #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #essex #halsey #taskforce38 #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #mastersoftheair #8thairforce #mightyeighth #100thbombgroup #bloodyhundredth #b17 #boeing #airforce wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #usnavy #usa #usarmy #medalofhonor #enterprise #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #cv6 #midway #wwii #wwiihistory #ww2 #worldwar2 #usnavy #usnavyseals #usmc #usmarines #saipan #usa #usarmy #aircraft #aircraftcarrier #battleship #battleships #ussenterprise #aircraftcarriers #museum #hollywood #movie #movies #books #oldbreed #1stMarineDivision #thepacific #Peleliu #army #marines #marinecorps #worldwar2 #worldwar #worldwarii #leytegulf #battleofleytegulf #rodserling #twilightzone #liberation #blacksheep #power #prisoner #prisonerofwar #typhoon #hurricane #weather #iwojima#bullhalsey #ace #p47 #p38 #fighter #fighterpilot #b29 #strategicstudying #tokyo #boeing #incendiary #usa #franklin #okinawa #yamato #kamikaze #Q&A #questions #questionsandanswers #history #jaws #atomicbomb #nuclear #nationalarchives #nara #johnford #hollywood #fdr #president #roosevelt #doolittle #doolittleraid #pearlharborattack #salvaged #medalofhonor #tarawa #malayalam #singapore #guadalcanal #china #burma #oil #marinecorps
