Horror Movie Podcast Ep. 225: Celebrating the 10-Year Anniversary of Horror Movie PodcastWelcome to Horror Movie Podcast, where we're Dead Serious About Horror Movies. Episode 001 launched on October 25, 2013. And we recently hit the decade mark on October 25, 2023. For this episode, the owner of HMP, Pastor Matt Rawlings, has assembled all the hosts to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. He asked emeritus host, Jay of the Dead, to plan the agenda and moderate this episode. Jay also produced this particular show. All the hosts of HMP are present, and they include The VelociPastor himself, Pastor Matt Rawlings; Jackson “The Ripper” Rawlings; The Night Stalker Nathan Bartlebaugh; Vicious Victor “The Hellcat” Rodriguez; Bloodspray Trey Whetstone; as well as the HMP hosts emeriti: Dr. Shock, The Wolfman, Dr. Walking Dead Kyle Bishop, Gillman Joel, and Jay of the Dead.During the course of this episode, Jay poses three questions to his co-hosts that all pertain to Horror movie releases from October 25, 2013, and October 25, 2023. Here they are: What was the most haunting Horror movie? Which Horror film has been the most “important” or most influential for the Horror genre as a whole? And which Horror film do you want to personally champion because it is a surprisingly unknown Horror gem? Also, be sure to keep listening through the very end because Pastor Matt regales us with a creepy, real-life Campire Tale about demonic possession! Yikes!Note: This 10-year anniversary celebration episode is releasing through the usual Horror Movie Podcast website and feed, as well as the feed for Jay of the Dead's New Horror Movies. This episode is dedicated to all the fans of Horror Movie Podcast.SHOW NOTES[ 00:00:01 ] – Introduction- Welcome to Horror Movie Podcast, Episode 225!- Jay of the Dead welcomes the other HMP hosts: Pastor Matt, Jackson Rawlings, Nathan Bartlebaugh, Victor Rodriguez, Trey Whetstone, The Wolfman, Dr. Walking Dead, Dr. Shock, Gillman Joel[ 00:09:27 ] - A Few Thoughts on Reaching a Decade of HMP- Pastor Matt- Vicious Victor- Jay of the Dead- Jackson Rawlings- Trey Whetstone- Gillman Joel- Dr. Bishop[ 00:20:29 ] – Question 1: What was the Most Haunting Horror movie release?[ 00:54:28 ] – Question 2: Which Horror film has been the most “important” or most influential for the Horror genre as a whole?[ 01:36:24 ] – Question 3: Which Horror film do you want to champion because it is a surprisingly unknown Horror gem?Wrap-Up / Outro:[ 02:36:54 ] – BONUS: Campfire Tale – Pastor Matt's Possession StoryLINKS FROM THIS EPISODE:– HORROR MOVIE PODCAST.net– HMP: Passing of the Torch– Father and Son Watch Horror Movies– Land of the Creeps Ep. 215: South Korean HorrorCatch up with “The VelociPastor” Pastor Matt here:– Horror Movie Podcast– Father and Son Watch Horror MoviesCatch up with Jackson Rawlings here:– Horror Movie Podcast– Father and Son Watch Horror Movies– On X: @Kaine_Hero12Catch up with Nathan Bartlebaugh here:– Horror Movie Podcast– Phantom Galaxy– The Illustrated FanCatch up with Vicious Victor Rodriguez here:– Horror Movie Podcast– Website: vhrodriguez.wordpress.com– The Sound of Fear– Inside the Sound of FearCatch up with Trey Whetstone here:– Horror Movie Podcast– Screaming Through the Ages– On X: @ScreamingAgesCatch up with Dr. Shock here:- The DVD Infatuation Podcast (monthly)- Land of the Creeps horror podcast- The Illustrated Fan- Horror Movie Podcast- Film blog: DVD Infatuation.com- On Twitter: @DVDinfatuation- On Facebook: DVDinfatuation- Land of the Creeps Facebook: LotC Facebook Group- On Instagram: @dbjb6972- On Letterboxd: @dcoshockhmp- YouTube: Dr. Shock's ChannelCatch up with The Wolfman here:– Wolfman's guest appearance on the No Bodies Horror Podcast– Life Below Zero: First Alaskans– The Savage Nobles on SpotifyCatch up with Dr. Walking Dead here:- Email Dr. Bishop here: bishopk@suu.edu- Dr. Walking Dead's Bio Page- Book: American Zombie Gothic- Book: How Zombies Conquered Popular Culture— Kyle's Amazon Author Profile— Doc of the Dead zombie culture documentary— Kyle's re-animated Twitter: @DrWalkingDead–
