Writer/Director Darius Marder’s Feature Film Debutt looks to smack its way onto Amazon and seemingly some theatres in December this year! The story follows a heavy metal Drummer named Ruben as he and his lead singer girlfriend tear up the indie Metal scene. But Ruben’s entire world comes crashing down around him when he begins to lose his hearing. Considering his entire world and livelihood relies entirely on sound, the more his hearing dissipates, the more he struggles to adjust to this new world. Learning to cope with the fear of not being able to hear his passion or continue it has his head all fucked up and him trying to cope by going to a farm for deaf kids, learning how to rebuild from the ground up! ‘The Queens Gambit’ - Now normally, a limited release series on Netflix, especially one about chess, wouldn’t make waves onto Trailer Park. But I mean come on, Anya Taylor-Joy. Nuff Said. This series follows Anya playing the lead character of Beth Harmon, a seemingly innocent little orphan who one day in her shitty childhood discovers her love for chess. By the time she is a teenager, she is already revered as one of the world's most premier players, in a usually male-dominated ‘sport’ (using that term loosely). But what seems to be a ‘woman against the man’ type fairytale story soon is revealed to be a dark dive into a world of mental anguish, depression, drugs, and booze! Is this enough to get our attention?! Coming to Netflix, 23rd of October. ‘The Croods 2’ - Following on from the ‘smash hit’ that was 2013’s ‘The Croods’, this is exactly the sequel we’ve all been waiting for! Ryan Reynolds, Nic Cage, Emma Stone, and all the A-Listers are back in this return to the Stone Age! We find the gang continuing on their journey as the world's first family or so they think until they run into the aptly named ‘Betterman’s! A much more civilized and evolved family, trying to create a more modern society! They face the same challenges as last time just with a few more ‘modern’ jokes like watching ‘tv’ (a window) and harvests as straight as the eye can see! All I’m gonna say is, my son and I loved this one when it first came out but now… now part of me hopes they’ve grown out of these types of animations by the time this one hits cinemas on Boxing Day! ‘Supernova’ - From writer/director Harry Macqueen comes this tender love story starring two incredible actors in the form of Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci. The story follows the two men, partners of 20 plus years together. As they journey out on a road trip together across the English countryside, they are faced with their future together as one of the men is battling the early stages of being diagnosed with early-onset dementia. As his condition worsens and worsens, the limits and boundaries of their love and life get pushed to the brink as this one better come to Australian cinemas as you know your boy is going to cry like a bitch! Coming to some international cinemas and hopefully Australian theatres, late December! ‘The Wolf of Snow Hollow’ - Rounding our Trailer Park this week we have a potential little horror gem on our hands! The Wolf of Snow Hollow comes to us with a tale thrown about as many times as shit on a wall! A small-town sheriff's deputy is faced with many issues in his life, severe alcoholism, a bitch of an ex, a daughter who don’t want none of that shit, and a town who just wants him to catch a killer! But this ain’t no ordinary killer, it’s a mother fucking werewolf! But don’t try telling him that! He’s sick of everyone saying it’s a werewolf, even though clearly in the trailer they reveal a pretty mean looking wolfman! The town of Snow Hollow won’t ever be the same with the amount of bloodshed on their hands! Coming to select US theatres, next week! ‘YASSS OR PASSS’ October 1st - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘Ne Zha’ - ‘Home’ - ‘Antebellum’ - ‘If you’re THIRSTY for a Recommendation, May I suggest taking a drink from this Stream-ing service?!’ (Top Pick From Each Service for the week by Mitchell) Netflix - Johnny English Stan - HOLY SHIT, Everybody Loves Raymond finally has a streaming home!! Episode 125 - ANNOYINGLY LOUD MOTORCYCLES?! Harry Potter fans rejoice this week! Fantastic Beasts 3 has been confirmed to start production by lead Eddie Redmayne and the Hogwarts RPG game announcement looks magnificent! Dwayne Johnson apparently destroys his own security fence because his power went out and he might be a little bit late for work. What a donkey. There’s a Robocop Prequel series in the making which is going to tell the story of the first films Corporate Villian ‘Dick Jones’... which means No Robocop. So why then? Harry Potter open-world game coming! PS5 Pricing and Release Date confirmed! POWER MOVE. Game publishing company Bethesda who publishes Skyrim, Doom, Wolfenstein, dishonored, Fallout, etc… and all the companies connected, was just bought by Xbox for 7.5 billion dollars! In response to the Microsoft/Bethesda Buyout, Playstation fans are calling out Playstation to buy Konami! More news, with the preorders being available for PS5 and Xbox Series X, not only are people struggling to place their order because of sheer volume but idiots have also bought a bunch of Xbox One X’s by mistake. Figures show the sales numbers of One X’s have skyrocketed! AT HOME WITH 2c3pod!! Dylan Watched: the lighthouse Mitchell Watched: ‘Scoob’ and Ted Lasso TRAILER PARK! ‘The Father’ - Our first trailer off the park this week is one that took me a little by surprise even though it shouldn’t have! Oscar-winner Sir Anthony Hopkins leads the way alongside Oscar winner Olivia Coleman in this gripping story about a father and daughter coming to terms with Hopkins' dwindling mind. At the chipper age of 83, Hopkins believes he is still as ‘spritely’ and ‘aware’ as ever of the world around him, but seeing his daughter go to all kinds of lengths to ‘help’ him he becomes confused and angry about this. He begins to question people he should know, habits he should be used to, and even the very fabric of reality. Is this just a tale of an older gentleman losing grip on reality or is something much sinister going on? Florian Zellar’s directing DeButt is coming to theatres, Jan 2021. ‘Moonbase 8’ - Our second trailer this week is one I’m not too sure about. It all sounds fine and dandy, John C Reily, Tim Heidecker, and Fred Armisen all starring in a comedy with heart full of Goofy moments, funny one-liners and moments of real drama… but my concern comes with that it is set in the desert and is about them being successful astronauts… I’m not going to say what I think it is copying, I’ll hold back on that. BUT the story at hand revolves around the three gentlemen as they replicate life in space, seemingly competing with a neighboring ‘test’ moon site for a spot aboard the next space mission. They go through expected challenges like filtering urine to drink, to intense desert storms. All with their own reasons for wanting to space like proving their love to their father, wanting to succeed after a failed marriage and even to spread the good word about Jesus Christ! It does seem funny and full of heart but hell, I’m gonna say it: Poormans ‘SpaceForce’?! Coming to showtime November 8. ‘Nocturne’ - Hold the phones everybody. Hold the phones. Could we be looking at Mitchell’s potential double-wide this week? This gripping film (writer/director Zu Quirke’s Feature Film DeButt!) tells the story of two sisters, both incredibly successful classical musicians vying for a spot in a highly regarded, prestigious classical musical school! What? That doesn’t sound gripping? That doesn’t sound thrilling? Well as we say each week, pause the podcast and watch this trailer. From the producers of ‘Get Out’ and ‘Whiplash’ comes this Blumhouse and Amazon production about two sisters, both incredible musicians but one is always in the other's shadow. When a student at the prestigious classical music school kills herself, there is an open spot and the sisters compete for that spot. When you’ve been living in your sister's shadow for so long, how far will you go to step into the light? Full of demonic elements, maybe a drip/drab of witchcraft, and a hell of a lot of psychological mind fuckery, this film with a ‘basic bitch’ plot is sure to take us on an intense ride! The best part yet, coming to Amazon, 13th of October. ‘Evil Eye’ - Now that I have tricked you all brilliantly with my fantastic writing I can tell you this is the second of four films coming to Amazon next month from Blumhouse productions! How did we get so lucky?! ‘Evil Eye’ tells the story of a young Indian woman living in New Orleans. When she meets a charming gentleman, her heart is filled with joy and it seems like the man of her dreams has arrived. She is overjoyed and cannot wait to tell her mother back home in India and her mother is equally thrilled with the news! That is until she starts to have flashbacks to her dark past and a terribly abusive relationship she once suffered through and the more she sees and learns about her daughter's new boyfriend, the more convinced she becomes that this man is the reincarnation of her once long time abuser. Suspenseful, dramatic, and genuinely thrilling, this story looks like it hits all the right notes and could be a sleeper hit. Coming to Amazon, October 13! ‘Between Earth and Sky’ - Now there is some mild confusion about the name of this film but it seems like the film's title is being changed to ‘The Lie’ for it’s Amazon release (this being the final Blumhouse film coming to Amazon next month). ‘The Lie’ tells the story of a small family, a mother, father and their teenage daughter and how one simple act of kindness can bring a family together while tearing another’s apart. While heading to a dance camp, Kayla and her father Jay see Kayla's best friend on the side of the road. When they pick her up to give her a lift to the dance camp, they stop off for a pee break on a secluded snowy road. All seems well until blood-curdling screams are heard and when Jay comes running he finds his daughter on a bridge saying she pushed her friend off and killed her. Now they must decide, do they pretend like they never saw her friend cover their daughter's murderous tracks or do they reveal the truth about their potentially psychotic child? Coming to Amazon October 6! ‘Black Box’- Our final of the four Blumhouse/Amazon productions this week comes to us in the form of the directorial DeButt from Emmanuel Osei-Kuffour! Black box tells the story of a man who has suffered an incredible brain injury from a car accident that killed his wife. Now he struggles through life with his daughter as he tries to piece back together with the fragmented memories of his past. He finds some hope when a lovely scientist one day says she has a new experimental treatment that could help him recover his memories. Yay! That’s fantastic right?! Well, maybe not so much as his memories seem to be overtaken by Exorcist looking mother fuckers!! Exactly what you would expect from Blumhouse and oh boy, this one is a keeper!! Coming to Amazon ‘Wandavision’ - Our final trailer this week is one Dylan and I have been waiting for 111 episodes for! (Seriously, go back to episode 14 and ENJOY). Now I have no god damn idea what the plot is for Wandavision other than it telling of The Scarlet Witch and Vision (from the MCU) living together as a couple seemingly in parallel universes or maybe even the afterlife in many strange scenarios. I honestly have no idea. BUT, there is a charming supporting cast, fascinating possibility of a dark undertone and I am getting serious Milk Visions here so I am all on board!! Oh wait… coming to Disney Plus… damn, December this year! ‘YASSS OR PASSS’ September 24th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) The High Note Four Kids and It Cats and Dogs 3: Paws Unite ‘If you’re THIRSTY for a Recommendation, May I suggest taking a drink from this Stream-ing service?!’ (Top Pick From Each Service for the week by Mitchell) Netflix - Enola Holmes just came out yesterday. Episode 124 - BILL SHAKESPEARE’S SONNET WHAT? TRAILER PARK! Dune’ - Our first trailer off the park this week is for a film we have been hearing about seemingly for the last two years or more. About how spectacular and fantastical this big-budget bombastic film will be. Well now finally we have our first look at Denis Villeneuve’s epic imagining of ‘Dune’! Now to be brutally honest, I know nothing of the Dune story or the novel or 1984 cinematic version so the trailer to be made next to no sense but what I gather is it is set in a futuristic world where some kid has like dream powers. You know, like he has visions or something. And his dad is like the boss man of like a tonne of planets and stuff and then his dad tries to take over a planet but the people fight back or something. And the kid, well he’s like ‘yeah, Nah, not taking that shit old man!’ And he like fights alongside Aquaman against his dad, you know? All joking aside, the film looks like it lives up to its nutty budget and is going to be an epic journey in the theatre! Very excited to check this one out coming Boxing Day, 2020. ‘Hubie Halloween’ - Okay… how does this keep happening? How do we keep giving Adam Sandler the chance to make a film while portraying the exact same character every time? I’ll tell you how: because now matter how stupid the film looks, No matter how much I whinge about that he is just playing the same character, No matter how many of his friends he crams into the film for stupid one-liners… I will STILL end up watching this film because it is so conveniently on Netflix. Curse you, Sandler!! Hubie Halloween tells the ‘story’ of Sandler being the local nut job, always reporting anything out of the ordinary to police, always trying to be a nice guy but really just inconveniencing everyone and copping the brunt of bullying from the local kids and adults alike. But this Halloween something is off, something is wrong and he is the only one who can stop it! But who will believe him? Who will help him before it’s too late?! Let’s find out together, October 7! ‘Freaky’ - Well if this isn’t the greatest idea for a film ever I have no idea what is! We all love Lindsay Lohan and Jaime Lee Curtis’ absolute classic film Freaky Friday of course. And we all adore the incredible Rob Schneider and Rachel McAdams’ mix up film The Hot Chick Yeah? Well, what if we combined the two together and I dunno put Kathryn Newton in the role of the pretty high school girl and then you know, put Vince fucking Vaughn in the creepy old guy role and switch their bodies. Oh, wait, not juicy enough? Why don’t we make Vaughn’s character a serial killer? Oh yes, everything about this trailer screams ‘Shut up and take my money’ as we see almost a cliche teenage horror film but one that has me itching to see it!! Add in the fact this film is written and directed by the guy who brought us Happy Death Day 1 & 2 AND is a Blumhouse production. Yup. I’m in. Coming to theatres late November/Early December. ‘Save Yourselves!’ - In the social media and tech-driven world we live in, have you ever actually considered switching off from everything with your significant other and heading out to a secluded cabin and spending a week away from the world? Sounds pretty good right? Just being away from it all. But what if the oonnnnne time you choose to do that, the world is attacked and in aided by floofy poofs!!!! I mean, ALIENS?!? This is the case for young 21st-century couple Jack and Su as they find themselves isolated out in the woods while the world around them is being taken over by the most floooofiest poooofs! I MEAN ALIENS!! How can they survive without any knowledge of basic survival skills or YouTube tutorials?! Coming to on-demand October 6! ‘8 7’ - Our final trailer this week is written and directed by the uber-serious Aaron Sorkin and has an incredible cast including but not limited to Eddie Redmayne, Alex Sharp, Sacha Baron Cohen, Jeremy Strong, John Carroll Lynch, Yahya Abdul-Mateen, Mark Rylance, Frank Langella, and my boy Joseph Gordon-Levitt. So with that kind of set up, there’s probably not a lot of humor to be had with this description and review of the trailer. We can’t end Trailer Park like that. So why don’t I put on a terrible British accent to read it out and try to lighten the mood? Here goes nothing! *The story tells of 7 men who were put on trial in the late 1960s for causing a huge public uprising against the system, setting off a chain of rioting and injury and death. Whilst they never intended to cause pain and suffering, they got all the attention they wanted for their cause as their trial brought about National and international headlines as they were all sentenced in the courts. Will they have the book thrown at them or will they walk away Scott free?! Those lucky todgers! Coming to Netflix on October 18th. ‘YASSS OR PASSS - September 17th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘Trolls World Tour’ ‘The Secret Garden’ ‘The Broken Hearts Gallery’ ‘Swimming for Gold’ ‘An American Pickle’ @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. 122 - The Oldest A Human Has Lived?! TRAILER PARK! ‘The Boys in the Band’ - Our first trailer off the park this week is another Netflix special! Set in New York in the year 1968, a group of outlandish and flamboyant gay men gathers together to celebrate a birthday! They have cake, decorations, several drinks, and chain smoke the house down as they reminisce and share stories of their journeys. Clearly quite a few of them have former love connections together as the tension builds throughout, leading to what I can only describe as ‘the adult gay mans party game equivalent to a teenagers sleepover prank calling the game’. Each man takes turns calling the one person they have truly loved in the past. Whilst sounding silly, the film actually looks like a tense and dramatic event that seems to lead to a gripping finale. Potentially. Coming to Netflix 30th of September. ‘The Glorias’ - Our second trailer this week is one that screams ‘Totally Not Made for Mitchell and Dylan’!! ‘The Glorias’ is a semi-autobiographical film based on the life of world-renowned women's activist and feminist, Gloria Steinem. Telling the story of her fighting for women’s rights and equality among peers, she blazed a trail unlike any other and influenced so many women through time to stand up and make a move. Julianne Moore plays the titular character based on the autobiography written by Steinem. I honestly don’t know what Moore to say except it’s coming to Amazon Prime, September 30th! ‘Possessor’ - Well holy shit. What an unexpected mind fuck of a treat this was! The trailer for the upcoming film Possessor tells of a seemingly gripping sci-fi thriller film centered around a futuristic style of ‘Hitmen’. We find a run of the mill average woman, played by ‘Andrea Riseborough’, as she works for a company tasked with carrying out hits on victims. But the way this is done is by entering a random civilian's mind and controlling their body. Basically making the person who’s body and mind they overtake the killer and leaving the real killer, who’s back in a lab under a mask, free. When she is assigned the biggest hit yet, for some reason she cannot pull the trigger, thus setting off a chain of events leading to the man whose body she tried to control coming to try and hunt her down. Seriously, watch this trailer. Coming to theatres the 9th of October. ‘The Comeback Trail’ - Trailer number 4 this week screams major potential as we see the likes of Robert De Niro, Tommy Lee Jones, Morgan Freeman, Zach Braff, and Emile Hirsch all-star in this hilarious dark comedy! Set in 1974, Braff and De Niro lead the way as they star as producers in Hollywood who have gotten in deep with the Mob (led by Freeman) and they owe them quite a bit of money. As they struggle to come up with ways to pay back the debt they concoct a plan: beginning filming a movie, have a big insurance policy on the main star, and then ‘accidentally’ kill him in a stunt and collect the insurance money. Genius! Enter Tommy Lee Jones as the lead star in a western they're shooting. The only issue is, Tommy Lee Jones is a hard mother fucker to kill! Looks like we could be in for a riot of a good time! Coming to theatres 13th of November! ‘Shithouse’ - Trailer Park was created with the express purpose of being able to review big Hollywood blockbuster trailers that everyone knows about and also to bring to light the lesser-known trailers from up and coming writers/directors trying to stake their claim on the industry. This week's‘ film festival favorite’ comes to us in the form of ‘Shithouse’! The story follows a freshman in college who is homesick and not having the college experience he had imagined. One night while crashing on a couch in the dorms, he comes across a sophomore who also seems to be isolated like he is. Together they hang out, share personal stuff and spend the night lustfully lusting over each other. Confused with what the night meant to each other, the journey follows the two as they struggle to understand what that night and each other really mean to them. Filled with some clever lines and packed to the brim with heart, Cooper Raiff’s Writing/Directing DeButt has some potential behind it! Coming to select theatres on October 16. ‘YASSS OR PASSS - September 10th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘After we Collided’ - ‘Bill and Ted Face the Music’ - ‘Slim and I’ - ‘Becky’ - @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. Episode 120 - REGULATION RIM HEIGHT?! TRAILER PARK! ‘Enola Holmes’ - Our first trailer off the park this week is one that took me by surprise! After Robert Downey Jr turned me off the character of Sherlock Holmes many moons ago, I didn’t think it would take the chick from Stranger Things to turn me back on! TO THE CHARACTER, TO THE CHARACTER! God damn it, but anyway! This story isn’t fixed around the legendary Holmes but instead his 16-year-old little sister. Millie Bobbie Brown portrays Enola (Backwards spelling of Alone) who has grown up close to her mother and her quirky ways. On the morning of her 16th birthday, she wakes up to find her mother missing. When her two elder brothers (Sherlock and the other one) come to find their mum, they plan on sending Enola away to a preppy ‘lady’ school. But that ain’t Enola’s jam. It doesn’t take long before she escapes the school and is out taking karate lessons and becoming a master of disguise! Will she be able to find her mother before her famous brother? Is her mother alive? Imagine if she wound up dead, fucking imagine. Heading to Netflix September 23rd! ‘Larry’ - Okay, for a split second I thought that this was heading down the ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ route with the movie she makes about ‘killer’ phones. You know, like you answer the phone and you die… technology coming to kill us… you know… Kristen bell… BUT ANYWAY! ‘Larry’ or aka ‘Come Play’ is the story of a young autistic boy named Oliver and his struggle to socialize and make friends. Of course, he lives in 2020 and so his only friend is his tablet. Parenting 101, I should know! One day while mucking around with a ‘Filter App’, the filter he has on picks up a face behind him, like we’ve all experienced. But then just his regular camera picks up some shadowy figure and then BAM! The monster in this monster movie is revealed and not hidden at all and legitimately we see every inch of Larry and well, what’s the point? There is now zero mystery to what this monster looks like, the trailer was full of jump scares and ‘cliche’ moments and it’s focused on the technology being needed to ‘see’ the monster and I love Gillian Jacobs but ugh… I don’t think I can do this… coming to EVERYBODY’s SCREEN, Halloween!! Spooky!! ‘The 40 Year Old Version’ - Now isn’t this intriguing. The 40-Year-Old VERSION, not Virgin is an upcoming Netflix film about an African American woman (played by writer/director Radha Blank) who was once one of the 30 under 30 to watch in the playwriting world of theatre. 15 years later, she finds herself teaching disrespectful high school kids about playwriting but has never had that breakthrough she seems destined for. Sick of the disrespect from her students, fellow playwrights, and the world in general, she has an epiphany: what if she stopped trying to write plays and began… rapping. She writes some catchy tunes, heads to a studio, and bam, here comes Run DM-SHE! A film festival favorite, this one has been picked up by Netflix for a worldwide release on October 9th! ‘Come Play’ Literally, I wrote down ‘Larry’ and ‘Come Play’. I wrote the same fucking movie down twice. And then kept it in the notes. And then wrote this explanation. And then kept writing. What the fuck am I doing? Now I know what you’re thinking ‘okay yeah, that was kinda funny but let’s wrap this up Mitchell!’ Hey, you don’t tell me what to do! I’ll write and say as much as I want! What? Do you think I’m just rambling? Pfffft, not a chance! Obviously I’m stalling for time because trailer park is light this week and we need to pad out an entire episode people! Come on, get your head in the game! But anyway, where was I? Oh right, I wrote the same movie down twice, my bad. Coming to a podcast studio, right now! Thoughts Dylan? ‘The Doorman’ - Well here’s the trailer for a film that the whole podcast can ignore! Seriously, I guarantee after this very moment in time, we will never discuss this film again. But jokes aside, we have a job to do! Let’s review the trailer for ‘The Doorman’! The story follows a decorated soldier returning from combat, back to New York City where they need to get back into reality and find a job! Lucky there is an opening as a doorman! Now considering this plot screams ‘straight to DVD’, who would you have in mind to play the doorman? Mel Gibson? Russel Crowe? Steven Segal? Nicholas Cage? No way, it’s future ‘Queen of the On-Demand’, the former Batwoman herself, Ruby Rose! She is the former decorated soldier tasked with her most challenging mission yet, making sure the rich people who live in the building never have to touch a door handle again! Oh and also, there’s a gang of thieves that have the building on lockdown to steal some rich families artwork *coughforceofnatureplotmuchcough*. What is it with gangs of thieves stealing art? I know it’s valuable but how do you sell that and not get tracked down? I just don’t get it. But anyway, straight to DVD and on-demand, October 9! ‘YASSS OR PASSS - September 3rd - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘Fatima’ - This week's foreign film comes from the land of Portugal as the film tells of ‘historically’ accurate events of a family of Shepard’s who has visions of the Virgin Mary, inspiring believers while angering the local church… ‘Wild Grass’ - We have a second foreign film offering this week in the form of a Chinese romantic drama. Now I’m going to read you the word for word IMDB description and we’ll see if you can decipher what it means: “In the 1990s, the two girls and a boy who first entered the society tested the incredible destiny they experienced in the pursuit of a new life. In the flourishing 1990s, they rose up with the dream and they survived.” What? ‘The New Mutants’ - After 89 years of waiting and with all the main actors having passed away due to old age, we finally have, THE NEW FUCKING MUTANTS! @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. Episode 118 - SINGAPOREAN TELEVISION DRAMA?! TRAILER PARK! ‘The Batman’ - Well well well. Look who’s laughing now! You all doubted me. You all questioned why I would do this. “Trailer Park?!” They said. “That’s stupid!” They said. “No one cares about Betty-Sue your cousin wife!” They said. “Mitchell, Trailer Park is a waste of time, who wants to review trailers?!” They said. THIS. IS. GOD. DAMN. WHY. Our first trailer off the park this week is one that has the entire pop culture world in a frenzy right now! Matt Reeves's upcoming entry into the DC Universe looks like it’s straight out of a psychological thrilling graphic novel and what a treat we appear to be in for! R-Pats plays the titular character and as Dylan and I have said on numerous occasions, it looks almost confirmed that he will knock this out of the fucking (trailer) park! We don’t have a hell of a lot to go off plot-wise but we see The Batted Man coming up against some worthy foe in The Riddler played by Paul Dano and amazing incredibly well disguised, heavily made-up Colin Farrel as The Penguin. The usual suspects of Alfred Pennyworth, James Gordon, and Catwoman also feature and seriously, Jesus, we say this every week while reviewing these trailers, ‘Paise the Podcast and watch along with us’ but seriously, I mean it, if you haven’t seen this trailer yet. Stop what you’re doing, watch the trailer, and get hyped the fuck up. DC, you’ve done it again! Coming to theatres everywhere like I dunno, a ducking incredible Batman film, 1st October 2021. ‘Zach Snyder’s Justice League’ - Now, as any regular listeners to the show already know, I am not a ‘superhero’ or ‘comic book’ fan, so I am not well versed in the realm of the justice league or the happenings with Zack Snyder’s cut off the film. So, I shall give you an amateurs breakdown of this trailer and what I see. The trailer opens with a goblin looking dude slamming a scepter into the ground. We then see Henry Cavill screaming about his career woes, transitioning into Gal Gadot looking fancy as fuck as Casey Affleck's brother stares menacingly into a hologram. Oh and here comes Jason Mamoa just in time to take his shirt off. Can’t blame him tbh. Oh damn, that football player just jumped that dude!! Who’s this fella with the blue lightning hands? That’s weird. Some guy was just punching or digging a grave? What is going on? HOLY COW THAT'S BATMAN. Not R-Pats… but still?! Apparently Amy Adams is in this and Jason Mamoa just turned to water. She’s sad. There’s another goblin and some half metal dude looks super tired. Some lazar is trying to open a package or something and Oh My God, the half-metal dude just watched a guy disintegrate! Now there is a butt tonne of lizard goblin dudes fighting all of the superhero people and the fast dude looks like he’s stuck in a cyclone lol. Amy Adams gets hugged in some corn and there’s a lot of CGI/Green Screen fighting going on and The Flash seems to run weirdly. Standing tall together, the superhero peeps are gathered together as the older Affleck tells them they are UNITED!! And that’s that! Coming to HBO max, 2021! ‘War with Grandpa’ - Well, we knew it wouldn’t last forever. Trailer Park had a good run but I’m gonna have to wrap it up now! Because it ain’t getting any better than this! Here we find the most anticipated trailer in years, ‘The War with Grandpa’! And who is Grandpa you may ask? Nonother than Robert Fucking De Niro! He plays, as you can imagine, an old dude who needs to be put in a home but he’s stubborn so he moves in with his daughter and takes his grandson's room. Oh boy, his grandson does not like this one bit and declares WAR with his grandaddy and it’s on!! All the silly family-friendly pranks ensue and starring a stacked cast of Oldies alike, this could be some family fun. OR, more likely, an embarrassing healing pile of shit. Remember when De Niro played a dirty grandad like 3 years ago. Oh how the turntables… coming to theatres October this year! ‘Death on the Nile’ - All aboard the love boat! Or should I say: MURDER BOAT! That’s right, Hercule Poirot is back baby! Following the success of 2017’s ‘Death on the Orient Express,’ we have the follow-up murder mystery, ‘Death on the Nile’. A jilted lover intimidated by Wonder Woman herself seems pressed to kill another woman or something, don’t know! All I do know is that there are pretty people (and Russel Brand) on a boat and someone does some stabby/shooty murdering and bam, we get a seductive French man with a glorious mustache on the case to solve said murder and get everyone safely back to shore before there is more stabby/shooty murders! All aboard! Coming to theatres in October 2020! ‘On the Rocks’ - What if I told you our next trailer was an Apple original film produced by A24?? You’re intrigued.. I’ll continue. What if I told you it’s a dramedy starring Rashida Jones and Bill Fucking Murray?! Yeah, I thought so, sold! Jones stars as a young mother who tries to reconnect with her father, Murray because she feels like her life is falling apart. Murray believes her busy husband may be cheating on her so they spend some quality father/daughter time stalking her husband to see if they can catch him up to no good! But what if she is just in a rut as she says? What if she’s just going through a tough patch in her life and her father is misleading her? What if this movie has no point but is just good old, dark dramedy fun? Either way, you have my interest ‘On the Rocks’! Coming to Apple Plus, October 2020. ‘Let Him Go’ - To be honest, looking at the poster for this film and seeing the cast, I thought we might be ending trailer park on a bit of a dud note. Remind me not to question Kevin Costner and Diane Lane again! ‘Let Him Go’ tells the story of an elderly couple grieving over the death of their son. All they want to do is take care of their grandson but when their son's widow marries into the terrifying ‘Wee-Boy’ family (doesn’t that name strike fear into your heart?), this may prove more difficult than first intended. All jokes about the hilarious ‘Wee-Boy’ name aside, this family does seem terrifying. Spousal abuse, child abuse, insinuating murder, and delicious steaks await the couple as they try to encourage their dead son's former wife to come home with them so they can take care of their only grandchild. Lots of drama and brooding Costner await us in this thriller! Coming to cinemas, 4th of February 2021. ‘YASSS OR PASSS -August 27th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘The Eight Hundred’ - ‘Climbing Blind’ - ‘Tenet’ - @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. TRAILER PARK! ‘The Devil All The Time’ - The first trailer off the park this week is from Director Antonio Campos, commanding an all-star cast through the murky waters that is ‘The Devil All the Time’. A young orphaned man finds himself torn between his father's dark past and his troubled present as he struggles to get a grip on who he can trust and where he should go. There seems to be something in the water of this small town as everyone seemingly has something to hide. A shady sheriff, a perplexing preacher, a cold-hearted couple, and a lonesome lover are just the tip of the iceberg that is this confusing yet highly intriguing story. Crawling onto Netflix like a box of spiders crawling onto a disabled man's face, the 16th of September. ‘Freaks - You’re One of Us’ - This is what we’ve all been waiting for, Germany’s answer to X-Men! Yes, you heard that correctly, the trailer for the German film ‘Freaks: You’re One of Us’ is all about a poor waitress who is struggling her way through the murky world of being a single mother, stuck in a job trying to support herself and her child. Until one fateful night when she discovers she has superpowers! Indestructible, incredible strength, she’s a weapon!! And one night at work she gets approached by ElctroMan! A superhero in hiding with a couple of other dudes, looking to recruit her to his team of underground crime fighters! Now together they can… save the day? But with great power comes bad guys who want it or something. Sliding onto Netflix like a disappointing costume that just doesn’t fit right, September 2nd! ‘Unpregnant’ - You know it’s going to be a stellar trailer when the first thing you see is ‘HBO MAX Original’. Yay. But anyway, here we find the trailer for ‘Unpregnant’. The story revolves around a high school girl who ‘uh oh spaghettio!’ Has gotten herself pregnant! Well, I mean, not just herself, I mean, someone else helped but, well, you know! Now she has decided to get a shmishshmortion but she cannot do that without parental consent and she can’t tell her parents so who does she get? Her former childhood friend, with whom she used to be Besties. Now the two girls must travel 15 hours either way to the only shmishshmortion clinic around. Stolen cars, road trip snacks, camping out under the stars, and Gus from Breaking Bad all await in the Dramedy we won’t be able to watch. Ripping onto HBO Max like a fetus from a teenager, 10th of September. ‘Young Wallander’ - Kurt Wallander is a recent graduate from the Police Academy (no, not the funny one from the ’80s) in England and he lives in the equivalent of the ghettos. When a terrifying yet intriguingly cool murder happens near his home, he reveals himself to be a policeman to his neighbours and essentially ‘outs’ himself. With his connection to the ‘poor’ people around him, his police chief says to chuck the baby faced, fresh, new, inexperienced rookie onto the case for funsies basically. So now the Young Wallander must try and find a killer on his first-ever case and find out how deep this case actually runs. Exploding onto Netflix, like the body of a man with a grenade in his mouth, September 3rd. ‘Magic Camp’ - Abra. Kadabra. ALAKAZAM!! Now that I’ve listed my favorite Pokémon, let’s talk about a movie trailer! ‘Magic Camp’ is the next Disney Plus original film coming to their service. Two world-renowned magicians (Played by Adam Devine and Gillian Jacobs) return to the childhood magic camp where they got their start and first found their love for magic. They decide on a friendly wager, who can teach their group of misfit children the best tricks and win the annual magic show or something?! Unfortunately the best part about this movie isn’t in the trailer as the legend that is Jeffrey Tambor owns the magic camp but they didn’t show him in the trailer. Boo-urns. But with all of that being said, the biggest question still remains: Do Magic Camps actually exist?! Burning its way onto Disney Plus like a kid absolutely burning another kid by calling out his trick, now! ‘Away’ - the final trailer this week is out of this world! Literally! In this 10 part series, we see the story of some incredibly brave men and women tasked with being the first astronauts to make it all the way to the red planet, Mars. A touching series about all of the sacrifices the astronauts make to complete this journey, being led by none other than two times Oscar winner Hilary Swank. With all of the drama one would expect from a gut-wrenching story of adventure and love and prosperity, can this captivate Dylan’s attention given it is about a topic he absolutely loves BUT is wrapped up in 10 parts?! Let’s find out! Crashing onto Netflix like a teenage girl's only parent on earth crashing to the floor in a coma, September 4! DIDN'T MAKE THE CUT - ‘Lost Girls and Love Hotels’, ‘All Together Now’, ‘YASSS OR PASSS -August 20th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘Lowdown Dirty Criminals’ - https://youtu.be/RX74m8y5yyQ - A kiwi crime/comedy about a couple of guys just trying to make life easier but seemingly getting themselves into all sorts of trouble with the wrong people! ‘Saint Judy’ - The story of immigration attorney Judy Wood, and how she initiated the change in U.S. law of asylum to save women's lives. First released into US theatres in March 2019, this film can go fuck itself. Episode 114 ‘TRAILER PARK! ‘Judas and the Black Messiah’ - Our first Trailer off the Park this week is a historical take on the famed Black Panther Party of the ’60s and ’70s. The story follows Chairman of the party Fred Hampton and his rising and uplifting legend of trying to bring about change in America. Throughout this tale, it tells of a foot soldier of his William O’Neil and how he gets cornered by the FBI to be an informant for them and to bring down Hampton and the Entire Black Panther organization. With an incredible cast, this film brings to light a tense battle and standoff between races and authority and still feels as relevant today as it would have back in the ’70s. Streaming into theatres like the tears of a moved woman, 2021. ‘I’m Thinking of Ending Things’ - Well isn’t Jesse Plemons the star of trailer park this week?! No complaints here! But anyway, From academy award-winning screenwriter Charlie Kaufman comes this drama/Thriller about a young woman traveling to meet her boyfriend's parents for the first time. The running narration through her head throughout the trailer keeps coming to the same thought ‘I’m thinking of ending things’ and it is unclear if she means her relationship or her life. But what follows once she arrives at her new in-law's house is as confusing as that question with Toni Collette and David Thewlis are strikingly bizarre. From hallucinations to strange sounds to creepy diner waitresses, this story is as much of a mind fuck as expected from Writer/Director Kaufman. Shaking its way onto Netflix like a dog shaking for the rest of the time, September 4th. ‘Ratched’ - From the Creators of American Horror Story and starring longtime screen queen of the show Sara Paulson should give you an indication of what to expect in this brand new Netflix series. This is an original origin story set in the ’60s of the iconic character of ‘Nurse Mildred Ratched’ from the acclaimed film ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoos Nest’. Set in a mental hospital, Nurse Ratched picks up a job as a nurse (obviously), trying her best to ‘help’ those in need. But it seems as if the patients are the least of her trouble as she goes about her business dealing with snarky fellow nurses, incompetent service station workers, and the heads of the hospital regretting hiring her. So many strange events in this trailer, it’s hard to grasp what is what and where the story will go but one thing is for sure, it’s going to be fucked up! Appearing onto Netflix like a name being written on a peach, September 18. ‘Get Duked!’ - Ahhhh, an Amazon Original movie coming our way to deliver the goods! This trailer tells of four young cities ‘thugs’ tasked with orienteering their way through the Scottish highlands, as sort of a team-building exercise. Trudging through the unknown lands they come across soggy paths, dangerous trenches, and muddy waters but the last thing they expected to come across was a group of wealthy dame hunters. The only problem is, THEY are the game being hunted! Now the four misfits must fight for survival against the crazed madmen (led by Eddie Izzard) and get super-duper high while doing it. Exploding onto Amazon, not like a homemade bomb thrown over a hillside, August 28! ‘I Am Woman’ - ARE YOU REDDY?! ARE YOU HELEN REDDY?! Obviously not but SHE is! This trailer tells the story of Australian born Singer/Songwriter/Activist Helen Reddy and her journey through the tumultuous waters of the American Music industry in the 1970s. Struggling to get through the thick, male skulls that controlled the music industry, she managed to start a movement of empowerment and equal opportunity among her peers and bosses, becoming a ridiculously successful recording artist and being fondly known as the queen of pop in the ’70s. With a list of accolades longer than a lot of more recognizable names of the era, this Hollywood-ised’ telling of her story is sure to leave an impact. Crashing onto Stan like a plane into a building, September…. 11…. oh… ‘Alone’ - Ending off trailer park this week with a potentially wonderful surprise. This trailer seems cliche. It seems redundant. It seems like we’ve seen it all before. Because we have. But if it’s done well, none of that matters. The trailer for ‘Alone’ tells the simple story of a woman looking to pack up and move her life across the country. Along the way she ends up being tailgated by a crappy looking car and then it leaves her. She stops to get fuel and the car is there. A creepy ass motherfucking man's car is broken down and he needs assistance but she’s smart and doesn’t stop because it’s the same car again! And finally, she has her tires slashed and is abducted by the man in the very same car! Shock and or awe! She ends up being confined to his basement where we find out this ain’t his first rodeo and he is an experienced killer. Now she must try and escape through the secluded woodland with the mustached mad man hot on her heels! Snapping into theatres like a serial killers ‘broken’ arm pleading for help, September 18. DIDN'T MAKE THE CUT - ‘The Third Day’ ‘YASSS OR PASSS -August 6th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘Made In Italy’ - Liam Neeson leads the way in this weeks ‘scraps out of the bottom of the barrel new film’ coming to theatres this week. Neeson and his son are grieving over the loss of their wife/mother and travel to Italy to renovate a house and I’m sure to learn about love and life and blah. ‘Force of Nature’ - Mel Gibson is a grumpy old man who won’t move from his chair even though there is a category 5 hurricane. Why won’t he move from his chair, instead choosing to put his daughter and police officers' lives in danger? Because he has lots of money and the bad guys are gonna get it! Uh oh! ‘La Belle Èpoque’ - This dramatic French film is about a man reliving his past and walking through a week in his life he doesn’t want to forget. Episode 112 TRAILER PARK! ‘Teenage Bounty Hunters’ - Our first trailer off the park this week is one that could be a surprise hit for us?! We have ‘Teenage Bounty Hunters’. Now I’ll admit, that title does not suck me in but after watching, I think I’m excited! Here we find the story of twin 16-year-old girls, trying to make their way through high school and love and losing their virginity AND also, they have teamed up with a grizzly old gentleman to become kick-ass bounty hunters!! With a trailer packed full of genuinely funny one-liners, hard-hitting action, and uncomfortably and illegal sexcapades, this may be one to check out! Smacking onto Netflix like a book thrown by a naked criminal into a 16-year-olds face, August 14! ‘Honest Thief’ - Well, well, well! Looks like Mr. I’m Now A Romantic Drama Star Liam Neeson wasn’t getting his kicks from starring in boring dramas! He’s back in the totally relatable action films we know him from with ‘Honest Thief’. Telling the story of the 106-year-old Neeson as an experienced Bank Robber, looking to turn himself in for a reduced sentence, so he can spend the rest of his life with his new girlfriend! Woot Woot! But when two crooked Feds try to frame him for murder and steal the money for themselves, it’s up to the man with the walking frame to take them down and reveal the truth before he is locked up forever and his girlfriend doesn’t forgive him! Awwww! Exploding into cinemas like an excessive amount of explosives used in a trailer, October 9! ‘Misbehaviour’ - Ser in rockin’ London in 1970 we find this trailer for ‘Misbehaviour’! Natalie Portman and Greg Kinnear star in this film surrounding the Miss World pageant. When Portman's character has had enough of the sexualized world surrounding pageants and the example it is setting for young girls in the world, she gathers together a group of women to fight back and to disrupt the competition. Standing up for what is right, the examples the media places on women and blatant sexism in the world, they fight to attend the event and literally… make noise during the pageant? Like, it’s all for a really good cause, and the meaning behind it is great but literally… I think the climax of the film is just them yelling during the telecast? Okay.. Snapping onto theatres and on-demand like a dirty old man saying ‘And Bikinis’, September 25. ‘Kajillionaire’ - ‘Kajillionaire’ tells the story of the ultimate family, living the American dream! A loving mother, father, and daughter do everything together. They eat together, they travel together and most importantly, they steal together. Yup, this criminal family has been doing this their whole lives, but not stealing big things, just packages from the post office, food, and water off airplanes, just small things. The title comes from Richard Jenkins' character saying ‘Most people want to be Kajillionaire’s, but me, I just prefer to get by’. And that is the way he and his wife have raised their mid twenty-year-old daughter until they bring a stranger in to help them with a big heist. Then she begins to question everything she knows. Expanding into theatres like a whole bunch of bubbles and foam, September 25th. ‘Black is King’ - Um…. okay…. so, here we have the trailer for Black is King. Imma just say this now, it’s streaming exclusively on Disney Plus now, it came out at the beginning of the week. So this ‘film’ is labelled as a ‘Visual Album’ from Beyoncé. Now what is a visual album you say? I have no fucking clue. But the trailer has a fair chunk of Narration so I imagine if this ‘film’ is released as an actual ‘album’, there’s going to be some weird ‘songs’ on it. I just, I don’t know anymore man. I mean, hey, that’s cool, you do you Queen Bey, but a ‘film’... that’s an ‘album’? I’m just so confused. And it says the ‘songs’ are reimagined from the Lion King (2019 version *barf noise*), reimagined for today’s youth in today’s society… but wasn’t that film about animals? And lions and zebras and shit? Not kids from the hood? I don’t know… I just…. yeah…. ‘Chemical Hearts’ - The trailer for ‘Chemical Hearts’ is as informative as it is gripping. This 2020 documentary surrounds the rise and some might say the peak of Australian rock legends Grinspoon and their monster hit ‘Chemical Heart’. Hailing from Lismore right here in New South Wales, the boys won Triple J’s unearthed competition in 1995 with the song ‘Sickfest’ and that’s where all the madness began. Following the triumphs of humble beginnings playing in pubs and clubs at open mics and rising through the ranks and annals of Aussie folklore, the documentary heavily focuses on the writing and recording of their 2002 album ‘New Detention’ from which the song ‘Chemical Hearts’ is taken. From groupies, cocaine, alcohol to mosh pits, join us on this epic Australian Rock journey like no other. *Pause for Effect* Just kidding, ‘Chemical Hearts’ is an Amazon original movie about two teenage kids trying to get through the murky waters of high school by writing for the school paper. Ones an awkward boy, the other is a Crippy Girl. Slapping onto amazon like a lying podcaster promising a music documentary, 21st of August. ‘YASSS OR PASSS -August 6th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) OLD CLASSICS - THE BREAKFAST CLUB, The Hobbit Trilogy and Train to Busan - Peninsula @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. Episode 110 ‘TRAILER PARK’ ‘Truth Seekers’ - Our first trailer off the park this week is one we can all get behind as we see everybody’s favourite British duo Nick Frost and Simon Pegg teaming up once again! In this Amazon original 8 episode series, we see the British gents as Paranormal Investigators, going across the country to film for their web series. Searching for ghosts and ghostly activity, they appear to have stumbled across something much bigger that has them in way over their heads. With the help of Samson Kayo, Emma D’Arcy, and the legend Malcolm McDowell, can they take down those friendly ghosts and something much more sinister?! Peering onto Amazon Prime like a chubby Brit politely saying hello to ghosts, soon!! ‘Terrifier 2’ (Teaser) - Heeeeeeeee’s Back! That’s right ladies and gentlemen, roll up, roll up because Art the Clown is back for more Bloody Mayhem then we ever anticipated! Following on from the events of the first film, an early ’20s female and her younger brother are discussing the murderous events of the first film and Lil Timmy (don’t know if that’s his real name, but it fits!) is concerned because they never found his body. Being a teaser trailer there isn’t much more to go on with the rest but we do know that Lil Miss Early 20’s goes to a costume party where she runs into the TERRIFYING (get it) Clown and there is buckets of blood to follow! What a work of Art! HA! Spraying onto I assume Netflix like many a bloody squib, later this year! ‘Sputnik’ - With our third trailer this week we find a potential Russian Gem here and what I believe to potentially be Dylan’s Double Wide! Potentially even my double-wide just because of the name. ‘Sputnik’. It’s just fun to say! The lone survivor of a failed spaceship mission has returned back to the motherland but the military is holding him in extreme quarantine for reasons he doesn’t understand. But those reasons are justified as there is a bloody alien/parasite inside of him. One woman is tasked with trying to separate the two but can she and the military pull it off before this otherworldly creature reigns chaos upon mother Russia?! Jabbing into a limited theatrical US release like a needle to the neck, 14th of August! ‘Rogue’ - Looks like Megan Fox has taken the Bruce Willis approach to filmmaking, crashing her way into the competitive world of On Demand Action Flicks! Here we find Fox as the leader of a bunch of mercenaries tasked with rescuing the governor’s daughter from some Human Trafficking people out in the middle of… Africa? I assume Africa because while they’re on the run back to safety they stop at an abandoned house where they realising it isn’t just the Traffickers they need to worry about, there’s also a rogue Lioness on the loose! Aw snap! What a pickle they have gotten themselves into! But the perfectly ‘make-uped’ Fox will surely take everyone down! Hoo-Rahing onto on-demand like a man about to be mauled by a lion, August 28th! Killroy Was Here - Okay, so what we have here is the first trailer for Kevin Smiths' next film, Killroy Was Here. Just released at ‘ComicCon at Home’, this trailer is as intriguing as it is confusing. The story tells of the legend of a murderous man with a lust for blood named Killroy and a small town that has kept his legend alive. It then tells of a priest coming to help two troubled youths and then propositioning them. It then tells of a man live-streaming his own death by an alligator mauling him. It then tells of a young girl needing a heart transplant and raising money for that. And finally of a man in a strange rubber mask murdering everyone, who I think is Killroy but honestly, I don’t know. I just don’t know. Seems a little low budget and confusing, but hey, it’s a Kevin Smith film with Harley Quinn Smith, Jason Mewes, and Chris Jericho. So I’ll give it a fucking crack! Slicing onto On Demand like a blade through the main characters' face, spoiling that she’s going to die, later this year! DIDN'T MAKE THE CUT - ‘Lovecraft Country’, ‘Wizards’, ‘YASSS OR PASSS - July 30th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘Unhinged’ - Good old Rusty Crowe leads the way in this one as a man with a smidge of Road Rage! All he wants is an apology, that’s not so bad, right? ‘The Secret: Dare to Dream’ - Here comes Katie Holmes and Josh Lucas in this romantic drama about a widowed woman and her kids meeting a dude who’s so lovely but…. he has a secret. Shhhhh! ‘23 Walks’ - A beautiful romantic film about an elderly couple whose love grows over the course of 23 walks with their dogs… Woah. Intense. Episode 108 ‘TRAILER PARK’ ‘Project Power’ - With our First Trailer off the Park this week we have a brand new Big Budget Netflix extravaganza in ‘Project Power’! If there was a magic pill you could take that gave you 5 minutes of unlimited power, would you take it? Pfffft, of course, you would! Well, that’s what Jaime Foxx and Mitchell’s dream man, Joseph Gordon-Levitt are you against in ‘Project Power’. JGL plays a tough as nails cop and Foxx a Dad out for revenge as this pill (which allows you to unlock your unique superpower for 5 minutes) is unleashed on their streets in what seems to be a ‘trial’ or test of sorts, by some shady and very wealthy drug lords. The pill seems to be taking the streets by storm but no one mentions the other potential major effect of this pill: a serious case of dead-ness. Creeping onto Netflix like a very naked invisible man, August 14th. ‘Hard Kill’ - Sueeeeeeeeeeee! Oh sweet baby Jesus we have ourselves EXACTLY what Trailer Park was made for with the trailer for ‘Hard Kill’! Have you been thinking to yourself ‘gosh darn, there really just isn’t enough ‘straight to on-demand’ action films nowadays!’ You have? Well great! But have you also been clamoring for said film to star the legend of the on-demand films Bruce Willis?! You have? Well fuck, clean yourself up because you’re excited! It’s time for Hard Kill! Willis stars as a rich guy who has important Tech or something and he must recruit the handsome lawnmower guy from desperate housewives to lead a team of mercenaries to protect his tech and save his kidnapped daughter from The Pardoner. An evil ex-soldier who… wants the tech? Or money? HES BAD, is what I’m saying. HOORAH! Also starring a former ‘wrestler’ in Natalie Eva Marie. Snapping onto On-Demand like a bad guys shin bone being stood on, August 28th! ‘Ted Lasso’ - Now I know we normally don’t review ‘TV Series’ trailers here in our Trailer Park but how could I personally pass up a brand new comedy series, about sports AND starring the king of ‘punching above his weight’ Jason Sudeikis?! Here Sudeikis is playing the titular character ‘Ted Lasso’, a born and bred American who happens to be a coach of American Football. But when he takes a job over in Muffa Englund to coach ‘British Football’ (you know… soccer), the sports world is up in arms. Now he must face the challenges of being in charge of a group of Prima Donna male football stars, adjusting to a new country AND most importantly, learning how to fucking coach a sport he has ZERO experience in. Slurping onto Apple Plus like an American drinking hot brown water, August 14th. ‘Words on Bathroom Walls’ - Well wasn’t this an unexpected treat! It looks as if Trailer Park is trying to push Mitchell’s limits this week and test whether or not they can make him cry! Here we have an ambitious Trailer called ‘Words on Bathroom Walls’. A PG-13 story about a young high school couple going through teenage problems and facing cute high school issues together. The only difference is the main character Adam suffers from intensely severe Schizophrenia. And unlike a lot of schizophrenia cases, he doesn’t just hear voices, he sees every people talk to him and sees all of his imaginings. Struggling to cope with his condition, medication and finding his way, a girl tries to get close to him but he pushes her away repeatedly. With a talented young cast and strong supporting cast including Walton Goggins, Molly Parker, and Andy Garcia, this teenage drama actually has some serious potential. Scorching into theatres like acid poured over a child’s arm, 31st of July! ‘Tesla’ - Here we find a trailer as odd as it is riveting. ‘Tesla’ is the story of Nikola Tesla, the mysterious inventor, and engineer of the late 19th century. Ethan Hawke plays the lead role in this film first screened at Sundance earlier this year. I say this trailer is odd because I’m not entirely aware of how they’re going to tell this story, given there is a reference to Google, what looks to be a smartphone being scrolled on by Thomas Edison and Tesla himself picking up and using a very modern microphone. Could be a unique sleeper hit or could be a train wreck. Colouring me intrigued would be an understatement. Zapping its way into a limited theatrical release like a bolt of man-made lightning into the sky, 21st of August. ‘The 2nd’ - Do you remember Ryan Phillippe? You know, the guy from ‘I know what you did last summer’? No? He was the hottie in ‘Cruel Intentions’? No?? What about ‘Flags of our Fathers’?? Really? Still no? You must know him from ‘Crash’! No?! Well, I don’t remember him either. But anyway, he leads the way in this non-stop thrill ride of a direct to on-demand action film set inside a high school! When he goes to pick up his random ass country looking son from a prestigious school, it turns out a senator's daughter's life is in danger when a group of troublemakers comes to abduct her! But they didn’t expect to run into the lethal weapon that is Ryan Phillippe! Oh, that spells trouble for them! Smacking its way onto on-demand like a fist from hell, December! ‘YASSS OR PASSS - July 23rd - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) The Burnt Orange Heresy - Babyteeth - The Vigil (Actual premiere week!) - OLD CLASSICS - Love Actually, Moulin Rouge, Elf, The Matrix Trilogy. @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. TRAILER PARK ‘Tijuana Jackson: Purpose Over Prison’ - In our first trailer off the park this week we find ‘Tijuana Jackson: Purpose over Prison’! This mockumentary film follows writer/director and lead star Romany Malco (the guy from a 40-year-old virgin who says ‘pussy on a pedestal’) as the titular character Tijuana who is recently released from custody prisoner with his sights set on becoming a billionaire. He plans on doing that by becoming a motivational speaker to current inmates and I assume school kids. Building his brand from the ground up isn’t the only challenge for this over the top character as he also has a very observant Parole Officer breathing down his neck and asking about sexual positions?! How inappropriate! Lols. Chomping onto on-demand like a set of obviously fake teeth, July 31st! ‘She Dies Tomorrow’ - Neon pictures brings us our second trailer this week with the tense, gripping thriller that seemingly flirts with dark humour in ‘She Dies Tomorrow’. The trailer follows Amy and she has a problem: she knows she is going to die tomorrow. Reaching out for help she contacts who friend Jane who comforts her but wakes up with a problem: she knows she is going to die tomorrow. So Jane visits some friends at an awkward dinner party and tells them the great news. Well now they know she is crazy but they all now know that THEY are going to die tomorrow. Do you see what is happening here? The fear of dying TOMORROW is contagious. How far will it spread? Are people actually dying? Jumping onto on demand like an old lady jumping when the lights turn off, August 7. ‘Endless’ - Well we know what kind of trailer we’re in for when they tout it is from a producer of ‘A Star is Born’. Here we have a vividly dramatic trailer about young lovers Chris and Riley. Madly in love and enjoying an endless summer, we see the adorbs duo get into a little argument in the car and then BAM. Nek Minute, head-on collision. Riley wakes up to see her parents and Chris is chilling there but OH NO, she can’t see or hear him cause he’s dead. So he’s a ghost, she’s a grieving girl and from the afterlife, he like fucks with her and gives her hope they can somehow make that work. Did someone order a pizza with extra ghost dick? Cause she’s getting a delivery! SMASHING its way into theatres like a teenager's car into an accident, August 14! ‘Fried Barry’ - Now here is a trailer park special! The absolutely INSANE trailer for Fried Barry is almost too crazy to describe, you need to watch this one for yourself. BUT I digress, the film is based on the insanely successful short film of the same name which was a huge film festival favorite. In the trailer, we see Barry, a drugged-up nothing of a man going out for another big bender when all of a sudden, he is abducted by aliens. What follows is what seems to be an alien possession of Barry and his new Alien occupant takes Barry’s body out for a bender and a racer of a good time in the city. Cape Town, South Africa hasn’t had this much to worry about since District 9. Squirting into theatres like the pre-birth out of a hookers vagina (yes I just said that), later this year, ‘Stage Mother’ - Well here we find a story as old as time! A Baptist church-going Texas mother gets the call she never wanted to hear. Her long lost son across the other side of the country has passed and she must go and make sure he is put to rest peacefully. Seems all fine and dandy until you find out he was outcast by his parents for being a flaming homosexual who owned a Drag Bar and now SHE inherits the bar. But business is down and it’s not looking good until she somehow changes her ways and influences the bar into becoming a singing drag show and here we go! Now they’re off to the DRAG race! Episode 104 TRAILER PARK ‘The Tax Collector’ - Kicking off Trailer Park this week we have Shia LeBeouf and Bobby Sotto starring the next feature film from Writer/Director David Ayer (Suicide Squad, Fury, Training Day and many more). Here we find LeBeouf and Sotto star as a couple of Tax Collectors for some of the heaviest and meanest thugs and gangs in the LA area. Sotto is a family man while LeBeouf is a hardened loner who almost seemingly gets off on hurting people and loves his job. When Sotto’s family seems to be taken hostage and their lives are threatened, the deadly duo must work together to get them back with as much bloodshed as possible of course! Also starring everyone’s favourite Latino Television dad, George Lopez! Bursting into American theatres like LaBeouf's cauliflower ears, August 7! ‘An American Pickle’ - It’s been a hot minute since one Seth Rogen has graced our presence on the big screen, and it looks like we’re going to be waiting a little longer as his next film is coming to HBO Max.. awesome. But here we have An American Pickle, a film about a man from the Eastern European country of Schlupsk, who immigrates with his wife to good ol’ Brooklyn. While they're trying to live out the American dream he gets a job in a pickle factory when one day, tragedy strikes and he falls into the pickle brine and dies. OR DOES HE?! 100 years later he awakens from the brine and it turns out, he was perfectly preserved in the broth and is now the same ‘age’ as his Great Great Grandson. While trying to adjust to the modern world and overcome the loss of all the people he knew, he and his GG Grandson start-up a pickle business! What could go wrong?! Punching onto HBO Max like a man from Schlupsk punching on with a Taxi, 6th of August. ‘Money Plane’ - This is the trailer we all needed this week and we didn’t even know it! A high octane, straight to DVD action flick starring a former wrestler! Here we have Money Plane! When a man with $40 million worth of debt has his outstanding bill paid off by an Uber rich guy, he needs to perform one favour to him. And no, it’s not a sneaky BJ under the table while he puffs on a cigar. It’s to gather together his crew of misfits to take down the mythical Money Plane. A casino with wings where no government can touch that has Billions of dollars on board. Sounds easy right? Wrong! I’m sure it’ll be insanely difficult! But nothing a man bun and Thomas Jane can’t handle! Crashing onto on Demand and DVD like (inevitably) a money plane from the sky, TODAY! ‘Amulet’ - Iiiiiiiiiit’s horror time! I’m the trailer for Amulet, we follow a man named Thomas, a former soldier seeking refuge. When he gets offered the chance to stay in a decaying old house, he is stoked with the opportunity to live for free in lieu of some odd jobs around the house trying to fix it up a bit. He doesn’t live there alone as there is a lonely young woman residing in the house along with her dying mother. Oh, poor love. But maybe something much more sinister is going on? Maybe the ‘dying’ old woman is actually a very hungry demon or something? All I know, if a Nun offers you a place to stay, you chuckle and then run the other fucking way! Flopping into American theatres like a dead fish on a chopping board, July 24! ‘Paydirt’ - A man on parole after serving time in prison teams up with his old crew to find the millions of dollars he stashed away in the desert before being locked up. That’s it, I literally just summarised the whole movie. But in the spirit of Trailer Park, let’s dig a little deeper! Pun intended! Luke Goss got himself set up and caught after a drug deal went wrong and the good old’ sheriff Mr. Val Kilmer himself got his man. But now he is out and free, Kilmer knows his man is up to no good again and even though he appears to be retired (careful how I say that!), he is still going to hunt him down before he gets to the loot! But it’s not just the sheriff after him, as the millions buried in the desert have become somewhat of a ‘legend’ and many other bad people have tried to find the money but to no avail! So he has a lot of attention to him as money is worth it… a lot… you know, cause it’s money. Also featuring a donkey load of the usual ‘straight to DVD’ action cliches! Grinding on demand like a stripper grinding on a thugs crotch, August 7! ‘The Silencing’ - Ending trailer park this week we have ourselves a little Cat and Mouse thriller! A man living in isolation in the woods teams up with the local sheriff to track down the man responsible for many young girls' deaths in the area. The man's daughter was kidnapped years ago and he believes that there is a killer who is detaining these women and then releasing them in the woods to hunt them for sport. The sheriff is like, so totally sick of this shit and is more than happy to team up with a regular dude to track this heartless killer down instead of, you know, using her police force? Seems legit. Exploding onto Canadian on-demand screens like a can of orange paint, 14th of August! YASSS OR PASSS - July 7th - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘The Legend of the Five’ - A group of kiddies on a field trip discover an old ‘relic’ of some kind that grants them superpowers! Now with these new talents, they are responsible for taking down an age-old evil from destroying the world!! A family fantasy adventure film starring teenagers of no name or notoriety. ‘War’ - A Bollywood action film following a soldier who is tasked with taking down his former mentor who has gone rogue after an unexpected killing! Starting some jacked-up Bollywood stars and has loads of explosions and intensity! Probably dancing too! ‘Waves’ - A coming of age drama, this story follows an African American family led by their well-intentioned yet domineering father as he and his family navigate life through south Florida after a devastating loss. Films Coming this week that are NOT new: ‘The Devil Wears Prada’, ‘The Jungle Book’, ‘Frozen’, ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’, ‘Predator’ and ‘Pulp Fiction’. @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. Episode 102 TRAILER PARK ‘Palm Springs’ - Our first trailer this week is a time-space continuum-based comedy set at a gorgeous resort wedding. Christin Milioti stars as a single woman attending a friend's wedding where she meets eligible bachelor Andy Samberg. As they embark on their lustful night, Samberg gets shot with a Bow and Arrow! As he crawls into a cave to die she follows him and they find a glowing light and then BAM. She wakes up and begins on the same day again. Essentially it’s Groundhog Day BUT more than one person can be knowingly stuck in the same loop. So together they are now stuck for eternity in the loop of the same day. Along the way they drink, do drugs, presumably fuck, fly airplanes, crash into trucks and bump into JK Simmons who also appears to be stuck in the loop. Exploding onto Hulu (god damn it!!) like a bomb from a wedding cake, 10th of July. ‘Ava’ - Jessica Chastain, John Malkovich, and Colin Farrel are teaming together in this new Action/Thriller from Director Tate Taylor. The film stars Chastain as a red-headed bombshell female assassin for hire who is incredibly good at her job. The only issue is, she likes a bit of talky talk. Bloody women! So when her boss finds out that she likes to talk to her targets before she kills them, he’s like, ‘Nah, not good aye!’ And puts a hit out on her. So now she and Malkovich must fight back against Farrell and a whole swoon of hit people. Cruising into theatres like a rich dude to his death, September! ‘Made In Italy’ - In the writing/directing debut for James D’Arcy we find action/thriller STAR Liam Neeson teaming up with Micháel Richardson for this….drama…. about a father and son who decide to head across the pond from their home in Motha England to a house they inherited from their deceased wife/mother in Tuscany, Italy. Tasked with the restoration costs, fighting old memories, and ‘rat baguettes’, they must first face the part before they can move into the future. Dripping into theatres like a water leak through a huge hole, August! ‘Greenland’ - Well… shit! Could this potentially be a Gerad Butler film I want to see?? Let’s find out together as we review the trailer for ‘Greenland’! Butler stars as the Prime Minister for the icy country of Greenland! NEK MINUTE, he’s a suburban father living in the US where there is a Commits fragment falling to earth. Everyone is excited to see this once in a lifetime phenomenon but oh no, they didn’t predict correctly and the commit fragment rips apart the US. With more fragments expected to fall, the race is on to save his family and in some way I assume, the entire human race! Filled with action doomsday cliches like traffic jams on bridges, aggressive military, and of course, a countdown clock! Ripping into theatres like the dust fragments from a commit, August 14th. ‘Respect’ - Oscar winners Jennifer Hudson and Forest Whitaker Star alongside a Wayans Brother in this autobiographical film about the legendary Aretha Franklin. Presumably telling the story of her rise in show business and all of the hurdles she had to overcome in her career, personal life, and spelling. With a stacked Cast (A Wayans brother cmon!) and interesting subject, this one may be worth a looksie when it screams into theatres Christmas Day, 2020. ‘Waiting for the Barbarians’ - Oscar winner Mark Rylance stars alongside THE Batman and THE Pirate of the Caribbean in this period piece and film festival favourite. Set in the 19th century at an unnamed Asian outpost/frontier, we find a Magistrate for the frontier questioning his leader's intentions when all they seemingly want to do is wipe out the ‘Barbarians’. As this is their land he doesn’t understand why they want to kill and displace the locals. Looks artsy, dramatic, and well-directed, the cast list is one to draw my attention enough! Marching to On-Demand like a man in silly glasses, 7th of August. ‘Target Number One’ (aka ‘Most Wanted’) - Forever a Heartthrob Mr. Josh Hartnett leads the way in this thriller about a Canadian Journalist in 1989 writing a story about a fellow countryman locked up in a Taiwanese prison under drug charges. Due to be executed for his crimes, is there more to the story than meets the eye? As Hartnett's character digs deeper, he begins to put his and his families live in danger and maybe there is more to this than just a drug smuggling. A government cover-up? There’s only one way to find out, watch the film when it slides onto on-demand, and select theatres like a crappy 1989 car drifting around a corner, 10th of July. YASSS OR PASSS - July 2nd - (Glendale, Kotara & Tuggerah) ‘The Personal History of David Copperfield’ ‘Sonic The Hedgehog’ ‘Love Sarah’ ‘Samsam’ ‘The Invisible Man’ ‘Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs’ ‘Bloodshot’ ‘The Current War’ ‘Jumanji The Next Level’ ‘Bad Boys For Life’ ‘1917’ ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ ‘Inside Out’ ‘Ghostbusters’ ‘DoLittle’ ‘The Gentlemen’ ‘Knives Out’ ‘Bell Bird’ ‘JoJo Rabbit’ ‘Little Women’ @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. BLOODY EPISODE 98 TRAILER PARK ‘Bill and Ted Face the Music’ - Lets kick this trailer park in Excellent style, Dude! Here we have the first teaser trailer for the highly anticipated (????) upcoming 3rd installment of ‘Bill and Ted’! And it’s time for them to ‘Face the Music’! 25 years after the finale of the second film ‘Bogus Journey’, we find out heroes haven’t saved the world with their music yet! Now they must travel forward in time in the time travelling phone booth (good luck finding a phone booth in 2020) and ‘steal’ the song that will save the world from their future selves! Only problem is, in the future, they are in prison and jacked to the fucking gills!!! Slamming into theaters like a radical guitar solo, August 27th! ‘7500’ - Well well well, what is this sneaking up on us starring Mitchell’s all time favourite man crush?! It’s a new thriller set high in the sky! Starting none other than JGL (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), 7500 tells the gripping story of a plane attempting to be hijacked by terrorists. Stuck hundreds of miles in the air, a pilot is faced with the unimaginable decision of letting the terrorists into the cock pit to command the plane or watch helplessly as they murder innocent passengers right out side the cock pit door. Has a strong claustrophobic vibe to it, almost in the same vein as the film ‘Buried’. Bursting into Amazon like a 747 crashing into a building (too soon?), today!! ‘Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga’ - What is every little boy and girls dream growing up in Australia? Prolly to get down the pub and sink a few schooies and join Centrelink bruh! Duh! But what about a young boy and girl growing up in remote Iceland? To compete and win the prestigious Eurovision Song Contest!! This new Netflix comedy tells just that breathtaking story through the comedic eyes of Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams as they play Lars Erickssong and Sigrit Ericksdottir better known by their stage name: ‘Fire Saga’! Growing up with only one goal in mind, they have never given up on their dreams despite being middle aged, no support, shunned by their community and having next to no talent. But that will not stop them in their quest for the win! Just make sure you don’t fall in love, otherwise you’ll end up like Seamen from Simon & Garfunkel. Pounding onto Netflix like cute kitty paws with marshmallow gloves, 26th of June. ‘Relic’ - Aussie Aussie Aussie! Horror Horror Horror! Well holy shit. Isn’t this just what we’ve been asking for?! Here’s hoping as we find a brand new horror thriller from Natalie Erika James (Feature film writing/directing DEBUTT), an Australian setting (not the fucking outback, oh my god!) of heavily wooded forest hosts a creepy old house. There lives a solitary old woman who’s husband passed away long ago. Her daughter and granddaughter head out to find her and possibly put her into a home. But what they stumble upon is something far more sinister.. Could they be facing a paranormal entity trying to erase all living creatures in its path? Or just an old bird who’s noggin is having a case of the ‘silly buggers’? We will find out when it rips onto ‘on demand’ like rotting flesh from an old ladies chest, July 10th! ‘The Surrogate’ - Just what the doctor ordered! And no I’m not talking about getting your best friend to be the surrogate for your baby because you have infertility issues. I’m talking about the hottest action star on the planet starring in this year's hottest sci-fi action blockbuster! In a futuristic world where people no longer have to leave their home as they connect their body to a Surrogate and send their robotic likeness out into the world to live the life they’ve always wanted. But when surrogates start being murdered and intern killing the controlling human, one man must stop the machine (literally) from destroying the human race! Based on the intense graphic novel by Robert Venditti and Brett Weldele, this trailer is an action packed, no nonsense thrill ride that will whet the appetite of any action junkie! Peeling into theaters like human like skin onto a robotic face, 24th of September, 2009! ‘Looks that Kill’ - Now come on. I mean, I know the podcast is getting bigger and our download count is increasing all over the globe but already?! Already, they have a film based on my life?! Jesus, well I guess we should talk about my ‘Looks That Kill’.... trailer review! Here we find an oddly charming trailer starring up and comers Brandon Flynn and Julia Goldani in this dark comedy about a teen named Max a boy who was born with a very unique physical condition. From the moment he was born, he has been a killer… but not blood thirsty killer, just that his face is so incredibly gorgeous, people die when they see it. Legit. That’s what this is about. He is forced to wear bandages and dark sunglasses from childhood in order to prevent innocent people from dying…. from his beauty. Again, why must they make films about me?! Falling onto on demand like a skeptical psychiatrist, today! ‘Archive’ - The year is 2038 and a brilliant scientist on the verge of the next big breakthrough in the evolution of Artificial Intelligence is faced with protecting his creation from the grasp of the evil corporation! He has more to protect than just his intelligence as he is trying to recreate his wife who was brutally killed in a car crash previously. So of course, he has his heart attached to this more so than his mind. Never a good combination. One thing is for sure, the voice of the A.I. Used is like totally realistic and convincing. It’s so real! Was just missing a few ‘bee Boop beep beep boop’s to cement the realism! Smashing onto On Demand like a 4WD through the face of a scientists wife, 10th of July. ‘Never too Late’ - Are my eyes deceiving me?! Is this the SECOND Australian film this week to get the nod of approval from us here at 2c3pod?! Could very well be as we find ourselves talking about ‘Never Too Late’! Now this Aussie film is much different from the last and no, it’s not a spin off sequel to the shitty fight movie series ‘Never Back Down’, it’s a dirty comedy starring a bunch of old blokes in a retirement home. The 4 men at the center of the film are war veterans who know their days are numbered and want to make a break to tick off the few things in their life they regret and try to make amends with family and do some things they never got the chance to do. While this story may have been told before in film, this has a very authentic Aussie feel to it and who doesn’t love an old man dick joke?! I know I love old man dick! JOKES, jokes! Old man dick jokes… *awkward laugh* Coming to on demand like an OLD MAN DICK. July 10th! Old Man Dick. @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. BLOODY EPISODE 97 Once again Dylan & Mitchell grace your eardrums with a lengthy podcast episode diving deep into the hottest topics just like the fact that COPS is canned after 32 years on air and probably good riddance. The Oscars has been pushed back to April due to ‘scheduling conflicts’ as well as the BAFTA’s. SPONGEBOB IS GAY?! Stephen King tweets about wanting to write a Jason Voorhees novel. Clive Barker is on a mission to claim ownership of Hellraiser again. 2c3pod favourite Elizabeth Moth is cast as the lead in new Ghost Thriller ‘Run Rabbit Run’. Ben Stiller is set to Direct a new Sci-Fi film called ‘London’. Quibi is by far the biggest flop of 2020. Warner Brothers don't think Superman would work as a standalone film and only works as a supporting character Bond, Baby Bond. BLOODY EPISODE 96 Secret Society of Second-Born Royals - Disney Plus is at it again! This time with a brand new original film aimed at pre-teens…. and maybe me? The story follows Sam, a regular teenager angry at society and ‘the man’ as she is constantly getting into trouble with the law, but there’s one catch. She’s gosh dang royalty! (To what kingdom I have no idea so please don’t ask). After getting herself into too much trouble in the shadow of her older sister (who is of course going to be queen), she gets sent away to a new school but not just any school, it’s the ‘Secret Society for Second Born Royals’! Her and her new classmates discover that while they may not be in line for the throne, they all have super powers!! Ka-Blam! And for generations the ‘second in lines’ have protected their kingdoms! Bombing onto Disney Plus like a former Glee cast members career, 17th of July! ‘Perry Mason’ - This 8 episode television series takes place in Los Angeles, circa 1932. A down on his luck detective, or more accurately as he says ‘Just a fancy word for Busy Body’, accidentally stumbles upon the case of a lifetime. There isn’t too much revealed about the case but we can see in the trailer at least 3 men, a couple of women and at least one child (“WONT SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN!”) are murdered in what we can assume is a case of a serial killer. Along the way we find out that he suspects the possibility of the police, the city and even the church are involved in a huge scheme or cover up! With a stacked cast of Emmy winners including Matthew Rhys, Tatiana Maslany and the legend himself John Lithgow, this is one I am very excited for!! Oh wait, it’s coming to HBO… NEVER FUCKING MIND! 21st of June. ‘Summerland’ - Last week we had a couple of absolutely edge of your seat war Epics, this week, we have Summerland! During World War II, a female novelist (I know right, a LADY writing books? Preposterous!) finds herself the new guardian to a young boy whose dad is off fighting in the war (we assume his mum is dead?). She initially says fuck this kid and doesn’t want a part of him cause she’s busy with her stories. But he won’t stop…. being a kid and low and behold, he grows on her. She opens up to him about life, love and lesbian-ism and ohhhh boy this story took a turn! For a minute there I thought this might be a creepy love story but nope she’s a scissor sister and now we have a story! Then his dad dies. Lots to unwrap here! Crashing into theaters like a war plane into the heart of a child, July 24th. ‘Dating Amber’ - Oh a wee spot of British humour is whot you’d like to go wif your croompets and tea?! Well here you go you golly wockle! Now that I have nailed my British accent and not stopped once to question Mitchell’s brilliant writing because I 100 percent understood the humour he was going for there, we can Discuss ‘Dating Amber’! Here we find two teenagers, Eddie and Amber, who are different then the other kids in their school… pause for dramatic effect… because they’re gay! And what do you do when you realize the truth and aren’t comfortable enough with yourself to admit it? You date another gay person and pretend to be straight! Sound confusing? It’s not really, it almost has a shade of ‘Easy A’ to it. But the story follows them as they discover themselves and their friendship and learn to accept who they are. Guzzling onto Amazon like a teen drinking cow piss, now! ‘Dantza’ - This. Now THIS is what Trailer Park was made for! In the trailer for ‘Dantza’ (that’s Dant-Za, not Dancer), we see After a hard working day in the field, the heavens open and a ferocious storm breaks out. When the rain eases off, life sprouts from the previously barren soil. A piece of fruit grows, ripens on the tree after surviving the scourge of the blight and goes on to turn into a juicy green apple from which cider is nicely produced. Then it is time to celebrate the bumper harvest and drink a toast to love! Now, let me be honest here…. I googled what this movie was about because WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT TRAILER?!? No seriously, everybody listening right now, pause the podcast, got to YouTube and type in ‘Dantza Trailer’ D A N T Z A and watch the 90 second trailer. I’ll wait. You watched it? Good now everybody all at once: What in the actual fuck is this?! Is it a stage production, a musical, an art film, a film about mutes who live on dirt and have never seen an Apple before so when one appears they silently ejaculate and dance everywhere?! Oh and there’s a didgeridoo playing over the trailer the whole time, why?! Also, Fire Swords. Just Cause! Coming to somewhere other than Spain, this year. ‘You Should Have Left’ - Here it comes barreling through the Park, it’s Mitchell’s Double Wide for the week!! Do you smell that? Oh you know it’s going to be a good trailer when the most delicious smelling actor is appearing in a new thriller! Kevin Bacon and the chick from Mama Mia Star in the next Universal/Blumhouse production ‘You should have left’. The story follows Seyfried, Bacon (lol, Fried Bacon), and their daughter as they travel to a secluded house out in the sticks for a getaway so Bacon can write his next script. But oh no, the seemingly perfect house isn’t what it seems and is hiding some dark, paranormal secrets that threaten the life of all involved!! Yes I know, a screenwriter going to a house that is haunted isn’t an all that original story (Vibes of The secret window, the shining and about 1000 other horror films) but you don’t understand; Kevin Bacon, Universal Pictures, Blumhouse Productions and Creepy wall puppets. This could be great!! And the best part? Scribbling to on demand and home rental like a ghost in a note book, June 19th!! @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. Bloody Episode 95 Dylan and Mitchell tackle the big topics yet again in Episode 95. They discuss in length such subjects as That BITCH Carole Baskin is at it again!! But this time, being mocked in a song by ‘The Tiger King’ songwriter. EVIL DEAD NOW NEWS LEAKED by Ash Williams himself Bruce 'Brucey Boy' Campbell. Unfortunately 2c3pod favourite James Wan’s new film 'Malignant' has been pushed back to 2021. His fiance Ingrid Bisu released a small video explaining that they were in post production but halted operations when ‘scheduling conflicts’ hit. Jon Favreau has announced ‘The Mandalorian’ season 2 will be on schedule and released in October as Mitchell realizes the Actor Jon Favreau and director Jon Favreau are in fact the same person. While most of the film/tv productions are still on hold in Australia, a low budget film has begun production just outside of Sydney and I’ll be damned if it doesn’t intrigue me! Russian Sci-Fi/Thriller film ‘The Blackout’ has picked up distribution in over 90 countries in a new deal, no word on an Australian release yet. 'The Wretched’ film passes $1 million so congratulations to them!! While ‘Becky’ has now opened and taken number one for the box office for the weekend with HUUUUUGE numbers!! Let’s talk Gun Laws!! With who else, Pearl Jam! They’ve released the uncensored music video to their hit ‘Jeremy’ this past week for the first time ever. The song was released in 1992! WHAT DID WE WATCH? BLOODY EPISODE 92 ‘TRAILER PARK’ ‘Paatal Lok’ - Kicking off Trailer Park this week we find an Amazon Original, Hindi spoken television series! The series follows the story of a police officer given the case of a lifetime: to track down and capture four would be assassins, accused of plotting to murder a high ranking journalist. The group of four are said to be from the ‘Paatal Lok’ which is essentially ‘hell’ or ‘the land of the insects’. Let me explain, the world is supposedly segregated into three ‘realms’, the heavens where the rich and powerful preside, earth where regular joe blows live and finally, Pataal Lok, HELLLLL. With the officer in charge discovering more and more and falling into a twisted, personal mess, can he apprehend the suspects before they carry out their plot? Or will these demons from Hell carrying out their master plan?! Slashing into theaters like a knife across a hobos face, NOW! Premiered on Amazon Prime this past Monday! ‘Blood & Water’ - Oh what’s that?! Just one international television premiere wasn’t enough for you?! Alright ya greedy bastards, here comes another with ‘Blood and Water’! I’m this South African series we follow a teenage girl named Puleng who after transferring to a new high school, has to deal with all of the typical teenage dramas faced with a new student. On top of that though, she discovers that she may not be who she thinks she is when a near identical student confronts her. Was she abducted as a child? Was she adopted? What is her family hiding? Who are the ‘Royals’ and why are they so god damn popular and pretty?! So many questions, not enough time! Well, I’m sure six episodes is enough! Dropping onto Netflix like a baby being dropped at the fire station, Wednesday just gone! Yup, this one is ready and waiting for you too! ‘Unhinged’ - Everybody has had a little road rage before right? We’ve all beeped at a slow moving car in front yeah? Or said ‘come on!’ To someone not moving at the lights yeah? And we’ve all been chased down and murdered for using our horn yeah? No?! Well Fat Russell Crowe knows what I’m talking about! The academy award winner stars opposite Caren Pistorius and Jimmie Simpson as ‘The Man’, a road rage and life ruining extraordinaire! After a woman beeps at his truck for not moving in heavy traffic, he wants an apology which he does not get. This leads to a series of events of which no one would expect! From following her home, breaking and entering, burning a house down, running down a civilian at a petrol station and turning a couple of cops into literal pancakes, the madness will never end… unless she apologizes? Flipping into theaters, yes, THEATERS, like a very outdated flip phone, July 1st! ‘Fast and Fierce: Death Race’ (aka ‘In the Drift’)- Okay, Okay, Okay… there's ‘B-Movie’ rip offs and then there’s this… if it’s not the name being almost identical, or the near identical font used in the trailer, or it’s the scantily clad women waving flags, or it’s the gun play, or it’s the cartel, or it’s the- Jesus, do I really have to keep going?! But hey, maybe the story is original, let me explain. There’s a man who is in debt with some bad people. But he has a chance to pay them off by competing in the highly illegal and underground ‘Death Race’! If he wins the $5 million prize, his debt is paid! Only problem is the race is in Viva La Mexico and the cartel is there and the race is dangerous and tough… and dirty… and… sexy…… and…. fuck. I lost interest before I started…. but hey! DMX is the main star! So that’s, something! Rolling onto on demand or DVD or some shit like Paul Walker in his grave, who the hell knows?! ‘Anderson Falls’ (aka ‘Darkness Falls’) - Detective Jeff Anderson is a man at his wits end. After the apparent suicide of his wife, he becomes convinced that she was murdered. Despite no one believing him in the police force or his personal life, he uncovers a pair of men who appear to be serial killers and are incredibly smart about it. When he thinks he’s got his men, he appears to put his son in harm's way and his whole world becomes unraveled as he tries to find the truth and put the perpetrators behind bars. As far as ‘B-Movie’ thrillers go, this one actually has some appeal! Co Starring the legendary Gary Cole and Lin Shaye and leading man Shawn Ashmore (Ice Man in the X-Men series), this is one I may actually be looking out for! Breaking into on demand like a father and son looking to murder, sometime soon! ‘Control Z’ - You selfish bastards! You want ANOTHER international television series trailer review?! Well, we aim to please as we bring you ‘Control Z’! Here we find another teenage drama set in a high school, but this time, with a hint of a psychological twist! Sofia is the outcast in her school, the ‘freaky’, ‘creepy’, ‘observant’ girl who has no real friends and just watches everyone cruise along. That is until it is revealed that there is a hacker who is going to leak the school students deepest, darkest secrets one by one. Sofia wants to find out who is leaking all the secrets before the school is turned upside down into chaos! Uh oh, too little too late as we see massive brawls, bloody noses and ridiculous levels of bullying in the trailer. It’s time to brush up on your Spanish and get ready for this high school drama! Appearing on Netflix like a transgender girls coming out party on a projector screen, Last Friday. ‘Crshd’ - Oh yes oh yes! Here we find the never before story of a college freshman trying to lose her virginity! Never been told story! Get excited! Here in this feature film directing deButt by Emily Cohen, we find ourselves following the last week of College Freshman Izzy, who after an entire year of college is still a virgin! Gee-Whillickers! So she needs to pop that cherry with the help of her two best friends and they figure, the only way to do that is to get invited to the uber exclusive ‘Crush Party’. A party which you can only be invited to if someone attending the party is ‘crushing’ on you. So they set their sights on allllll the dicks and hope they can get one inside Izzy before she heads home! Hopefully not as a sad, pathetic Virgin. Am I right?! Coming to on demand like.. well, you know… it’s a ‘cum’ joke, later this year! @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. BLOODY EPISODE 90 TRAILER PARK ‘Space Force’ (official teaser trailer’) - From the mind of Greg Daniels (The Office, Parks & Rec, King of the Hill) comes this much more ‘Greg Daniels’ feeling show, Space Force! The story is loosely based on Donald Trump's brilliant idea to split the Air Force into a new division that goes beyond the air, to space! So what better to do than mock it in a new hilarious comedy! With a stacked cast including Steve Carell, Noah Emmerich, John Malkovich, Ben Schwartz, Jimmy O Yang and an incredibly old Fred Willard, this has major comedic potential! Shuffling onto Netflix like a Steve Carell shuffling to a Rupert Holmes classic, May 29th. ‘Think like a Dog’ - Get ready to sniff some butts and eat your own vomit because it’s time for ‘Think Like a Dog’! Here comes the family film no one asked for, as a young genius boy experimenting with reading minds, develops the technology to read his dogs thoughts! But with great tech comes great enemies trying to steal said tech with any means possible! Enter Kunal Nayyar as the villain! (Good to see his post Big Bang career is going well!) Also starring Megan Fox and Josh Duhamel as aging parents far from their transformers days. As the Tagline says, ‘Anything is Paw-sible’! Jumping into on demand rental (not surprisingly) like a dog from a window, June 9th. ‘The King of Staten Island’ - From Director Judd Apatow comes this semi-autobiographical comedy about Pete Davidson and his life. When his fire fighting father passes away during the events of September 11, Pete must cope with growing up and becoming a man without him. From his younger sister going to college and his mum dating another fireman, the slacker with dreams of tattooing must learn how to love his life accepting that he may have no potential. With an all star cast including Marisa Tomei, Steve Buscemi, Bill Burr and hey, Dylan’s favourite Jimmy Tatro, the laughs seemingly will come hand in hand with the drama and hopefully provide a good time! Dropping onto on demand like an eight foot tall guy into an above ground pool, 12th of June. ‘Shirley’ - 2c3pod Hitlist stalwart Elizabeth Moth is at it again! This time in a chilling dramatic, suspenseful role as the titular character ‘Shirley’. She stars as a novelist looking for her next inspiration which she finds in a young couple who come to stay at their place for a stint. While there, the young couple, most notably the female, discover the mind games and chilling realization that they are the influence for the next novella. But how will this story end? Will they come to learn that their ending has already been written?! A film festival favourite which has earned distribution for later in the year! So smacking into theaters like fingers on a typewriter, TBD. ‘Becky’ - Let's continue this trailer park train of films with singular female names as the title shall we?! Here we find a new horror/thriller by the name of ‘Becky’! The story of young girl and her father Jeff (the perfect name for any character Joel McHale plays #6seasonsandamovie), who along with Jeff’s girlfriend head to a cabin in the woods for a relaxing weekend. But to their shock, 4 prison inmates have escaped and a re looking for a key. But not just any key, a Nazi key. Oh, did I not mention the escapees are nazis?! Oh, did I not mention Kevin Fucking James is the lead Nazi?! Yup, you heard that right and I’ll tell you what, it looks incredibly fun and not a single bit comedic! Shock and or Awe! Striking onto on demand like a nailed board into a nazis skull, June 5th! ‘Babyteeth’ - Well well well, look what we have here! An Australian drama. An Australian drama with potential? Here we have Babyteeth, the feature film directorial debutt from Shannon Murphy sees the story of young girl who is very sick named Milla, who falls head over heals in love with a slightly older boy named Moses. Unfortunately for Milla’s parents, Moses happens to be a small time drug dealer and fully sick mad cunt! (AKA, a bogan, lol). Can their two very different worlds co-exist or will the Centrelink que be too much for everyone to handle? Ripping onto on demand like a wig from a cancer patient, June 19th. ‘Inmate #1: The Rise of Danny Trejo’ - we just had Potentially an Australian film we may want to witness and now a documentary we definitely want to see? Looks like it with Inmate #1! This documentary is all about the incredible rise of Danny Trejo as it follows his rough beginnings all the way to the highest points of his career. From murder to drug addiction to jail time to the big screen, this story deserves to be told and looks like it could be as captivating as any fictional story man could tell. Dying to get onto screens like Danny dying in almost all of his films, later this year. @2c3pod Aussie Pop Culture Podcast ~ 2 Episodes every Wednesday and Friday + YOUTUBE bonus content. BLOODY EPISODE 86 ‘Yasss or Passs: Blassst from the Passst!’ - ‘ April 2010 Edition! “Well here we are in April 2010! The world is a crazy place right now! When two brothers pull off a robbery and are on the run from the cops, they must seek medical attention as one of the brothers got shot in the leg. But where do they go? The hospital? Pfffft, no, they’d get busted! An after hours medical clinic? No way! That’s a direct ticket to jail! What do they do? Follow a doctor to his home and hold his wife, daughter and father hostage until he performs surgery on the injured brother and saves his life at the threat of having his family murdered? Fuck yes! Seems like a reasonable outcome! All I know is this doctor has squeezed his way into a Cottees Jar because you better believe he’s in a JAM now! *Pause for laughter*. Popping into TV screens like a bullet popping into a leg, May 22! ‘Peninsula’ (aka ‘Train to Busan 2’) Now, we all know we both love a GOOD zombie flick, so what better than a Zombie flick set in a world where ‘Zombie’ and the undead are just, the norm? No no. I’m not talking about a silly comedy like Zombieland, how about a non stop action, thriller, gorefest like Peninsula! Following up on the critically acclaimed 2016 Korean film ‘Train to Busan’ we have this sequel. It’s going to be hard when he keeps throwing the child off of roofs and having grenades go off at his feet! Coming to Netflix like Michael Bay jizzing at an explosion, today! ‘Capone’ - Al Capone. The most notorious gangster in US history is having another reboot in this new telling of his latter years. Capone (played by the ever talented Tom Hardy) has just been released from prison. Only problem is, Capone is suffering from severe dementia and can’t even remember his fucking name. Is this the story of one of the deadliest men in crime history’s fall from Grace, or the brilliant act of a genius pretending to be past his prime? Chomping onto the internet like an alligator chewing a crotch, May 12! ‘Upload’ - What if you lived in a world that when you die, you can choose your own after life? You could perfectly ‘live’ in a world where you control every aspect of that world and continue your ‘life’ in complete bliss? Well have all your questions answered in this terrifying sci fi film…. wait…. what? This isn’t a dark sci-fi film? This is a TV series…. a COMEDY tv series…. created by Greg Daniels?
