Andy Serkis, reprising his role as Alfred in The Batman Part 2, has confirmed that filming for the highly-anticipated sequel is scheduled to commence early next year. Directed by Matt Reeves, known for his dark and gritty vision of Gotham City, the film is slated for release on October 2, 2026. Serkis praised Reeves' script writing prowess and expressed enthusiasm about returning to the role alongside Robert Pattinson's Batman. Amidst his busy schedule, which includes directing and starring in The Lord of the Rings: The Hunt for Gollum, Serkis continues to be a key figure in blockbuster franchises.
This week we're bypassing the randomizer for yet another Guest's Choice episode which also happens to be another Channel KRT crossover, in which the very awesome Kit Quinn "makes" us watch one of the very finest pieces of mainstream filmmaking of the 2010s, a megabudgeted CGI-heavy blockbuster tentpole sequel set in an expansive cinematic universe in which visionary writer/director James Gunn, rather than simply make a soulless cash grab and let the franchise spin its wheels, uses his uniquely enormous canvas to tell an emotionally affecting fable about the desperation of loss, the ripple effect of abuse, the joys and pitfalls of parenting, and ultimately the power of the bonds we form between each other. It's also got a talking raccoon, a character named "Taserface," a David Hasselhoff cameo, and a scene where the main character turns himself into Pac-Man. How could an episode be made into two parts with the split occurring at the very end of the movie's synopsis? Lots of disagreement about Yondu, apparently. Join Eduardo, Peach3z, Chris, and Robbie as they conclude their discussion of GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2. Where will it end up in everyone's rankings? The answer may surprise you!
It's our most contentious episode yet as the guys get together to talk about GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 2! Battle lines will be drawn as Eduardo and Peach3z find Drax too ridiculous to take seriously, while Chris and Robbie want to focus on the heart beneath the humor (but also the humor). There was so much to talk about, we actually had to split this into two episodes! So come a little bit closer and enjoy part one of this wham bam shang-a-lang of a podcast!
