As our team takes time off for the holidays, we are sharing the conversations Sarah and Beth had this year about Habits of the Heart. This first episode originally aired in February for our premium members on Substack. Whether you’re also taking a well-deserved break, spending time with family, or just looking for something meaningful to listen to, we hope you’ll join us to revisit (or enjoy for the first time!) this thoughtful exploration from Sarah and Beth of this powerful, prescient book. In this episode, they discuss the introductory, and imagine where the authors would push them, and investigate what the meaning of “the pursuit of happiness” was to the founders in comparison to how we define it now.       If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, unmotivated, or like you just cannot seem to move the needle forward right now, this episode is your sign. Evie and Lindsey deliver a short, powerful entrepreneur pep talk filled with tough love, honest encouragement, and practical reminders for those seasons when business and life feel heavy. They talk about why slow progress is still real progress, why asking for help is a strength not a failure, and why comparison, especially on social media, will rob you of joy faster than anything else. The girls reframe failure as proof that you are trying, remind you that someone else's win does not equal your loss, and encourage you to stop letting fear, procrastination, or overwhelm keep you frozen. You'll also hear a simple but game changing productivity mindset shift using the five minute rule to help you push past resistance and finally start the task you've been avoiding. This episode is part encouragement, part reality check, and part loving nudge to get honest about what you want your life and business to feel like, and then take responsibility for making the shift. If you needed a reminder that you are capable, not behind, and not alone, this one is for you. Today's theme is a powerful one: joy is our first and most fundamental responsibility. Not as a performance, and not as something we wait to "earn," but as a daily priority we practice—one breath, one choice, one moment at a time. In this longer, bonus-style meditation, you'll be invited to release the habit of postponing your happiness and to reconnect with what's already present beneath the noise. You'll be guided into a simple breathing technique designed to cultivate joy from the inside out—a gentle way to shift your nervous system toward ease, brightness, and quiet aliveness. As you breathe, you'll strengthen your ability to choose joy—softly, sincerely, and without guilt—so it becomes a steady inner home you can return to anytime. This is day 3 of a 7-day meditation series, "Awaken to Joy Celebration Meditations," episodes 1297-1303. ABOUT THIS WEEK'S MEDITATION JOURNEY: As the year gently comes to a close, this special episode of Awaken to Joy Celebration Meditations invites you into a sacred pause. Between this week's celebrations of Christmas and Hanukkah, and any other spiritual celebrations, light and love are celebrated in different ways—but the invitation is the same: to slow down, reflect, and soften into gratitude. This special bonus episode of Awaken to Joy is part of a meditation series I recorded a few years ago—created not for a moment in time, but for moments like this. As the year draws to a close and the light of celebration fills the season, I wanted to offer this meditation as a gift of gratitude to you, my listeners. These reflections are timeless by design—an invitation to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with peace, gratitude, and inner light. Whether you're celebrating, resting, or simply needing a pause, this meditation is my way of saying thank you for being here. May it bring you calm, comfort, and gentle joy as one year ends and another begins. ✨ With deep gratitude, ✨ A moment of stillness, just for you ✨ A new beginning softly forming. Welcome to the Christmas week edition of Keep the Heart. This reading of Luke chapter two is a long-held tradition in many homes, and it is a wonderful way to place the focus on the Christ of Christmas.  The birth of Jesus marked the birth of our Saviour. He came into this world as the Sinless One on a mission, and because He died, we have the gift of eternal life. Do your children know that the tradition of gift-giving is related to the greatest gift ever given? Christmas is not celebrating us. It's honoring Christ. We could say that Jesus is the most ignored Birthday Guest of Honor ever to walk this earth! Let's overrule the commercial focus on getting and turn the focus on being sacrificial givers, just like Jesus. After Christmas when so many things go on sale, this would be a great time to purchase items to donate to local food banks, clothing closets, homeless shelters, and other charitable organizations. Include gospel tracts with the donations. You never know who may read that tract and receive the ultimate gift of salvation. Here's a great closing verse reminding us why Jesus came to this earth. It's in Luke 19:10, which says this: "For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost." Christmas blessings to you and your loved ones. In our fourth installment of Surviving the 90s, we're revisiting Heart - the band that not only churned out hits across multiple decades, but played a key role in the burgeoning Seattle music scene of the 80s and 90s. Known for a string of massive hits like "Barracuda," "Crazy On You," "Magic Man,"  and more in the 70s, the chart-topping band suffered a downturn in the early 80s only to return with two successful albums, 1985's self-titled record and the 1987 follow-up Bad Animals, both of which achieved multi-Platinum status. But as the musical landscape shifted in the 90s, the band released their 1990 album Brigade to a shifting musical landscape, and doubled-down with the out-of-step Desire Walks In in 1993. Though new hits failed to materialize, they continued to remain relevant thanks to their strong ties to the Seattle scene and the undeniable talent of Ann and Nancy Wilson. We revisit their biggest hits, their activity in the 90s, and try to determine: did Heart thrive, adapt, or fade during the decade?   Songs In This Episode Intro - Barracuda 21:49 - Heartless 41:31 - Wild Child 51:16 - Will You Be There (In The Morning) Outro - Magic Man   Support the podcast, join the DMO UNION at Patreon. What's next for Discovery Park of America? In this special Reelfoot Forward episode, CEO Scott Williams sits down with senior collections and exhibits director Jennifer Wildes and manager of marketing and PR Zac Willis for a look at what's ahead in 2026 at the museum and park. The conversation offers a behind-the-scenes preview of upcoming exhibits, major events and cultural celebrations, including plans tied to America's 250th anniversary, new permanent exhibitions, expanded educational programming and returning events that have become regional traditions. Listeners will hear how Discovery Park selects exhibits, balances popular demand with mission-driven storytelling and plans year-round experiences for children and adults. As Discovery Park commemorates the 230th anniversary of Tennessee's statehood and the national America 250 celebration, several new exhibits will open next year. The museum will host "Home, Heart, Heritage: Quilt Exhibition Celebrating Black History," a traveling exhibition from Monthaven Arts and Cultural Center that features five double-sided quilts celebrating Black American contributions to Tennessee and the nation. Listeners will also learn more about "Brushstrokes of a Young Nation: The Art of David Wright," which will be on display in the Southern Artist Showcase Gallery. The exhibition will include prints by celebrated Tennessee artist David Wright, whose paintings of early settlers, frontier life and America's expansion offer a vivid visual journey through the nation's formative years. Another major highlight of Discovery Park's Tennessee America 250 programming discussed in the episode is the Celebrating 250 Years of Independence event July 3–4, 2026. On Friday, July 3, country music artist Mo Pitney will headline a free outdoor concert as part of Discovery Park's Rhythm on the Rails series. Whether you're a longtime member, a first-time visitor or simply curious about how a regional museum plans for the future, this episode offers a candid, informative look at how Discovery Park continues to evolve while staying rooted in the stories of West Tennessee and the Reelfoot Lake region. Advent E4 — We're ending our short Advent series with a reflection on love. In the Hebrew Bible, the word “ahavah” involves faithfulness to God and living by his wisdom, but it also means showing practical care to others—especially the vulnerable. Jesus views this love for God and neighbor as the greatest command, and he expands it to be indiscriminate, radical kindness and generosity even toward our enemies. The New Testament authors were so blown away by this kind of love that they adopted an obscure Greek word for love, “agape,” and redefined it to be a self-giving, sacrificial love that Jesus demonstrates in his life, teaching, death, and resurrection. In this episode, Jon and Tim explore the main biblical words for love, showing how the story of Advent characterizes agape as God's own essence and our calling. FULL SHOW NOTESFor chapter-by-chapter notes including summaries, referenced Scriptures, biblical words, and reflection questions, check out the full show notes for this episode.CHAPTERSThe Hebrew Bible's Understanding of Love (0:00–13:17)Agape and Jesus' Redefinition of Love (13:17–21:25)God Is Love (21:25–31:10)Reflections on Love With JoDee (31:10-36:12)OFFICIAL EPISODE TRANSCRIPTView this episode's official transcript.REFERENCED RESOURCESThe Affections of Christ Jesus: Love at the Heart of Paul's Theology by Nijay GuptaAhavah / Love: Though not referenced directly in the episode, this 2017 video explores the same biblical word ahavah.Agape / Love: Also not referenced directly in the episode, this 2017 video explores the same biblical word, agape.Check out Tim's extensive collection of recommended books here.SHOW MUSIC“Clouds ft. ahmo” by Lofi Sunday“Warm Hugs” by Lofi Sunday & Cassidy Godwin“Snowflakes” by AvesBibleProject theme song by TENTS SHOW CREDITSProduction of today's episode is by Lindsey Ponder, producer, and Cooper Peltz, managing producer. DUELING MONUMENTS AND THE HEART OF DARKNESS THEME Colleague Robert G. Parkinson. The feud extends into the 20th century with "dueling monuments" in Ohio, where the Cresap Society and local residents erect competing memorials near the site of Logan's Elm to debate the history. Parkinson concludes by returning to the "Heart of Darkness" theme, using Conrad's metaphor of "the flicker" to describe how people create narratives like patriotism to cope with the bewilderment of their reality. He emphasizes the role of contingency, noting how the American Revolutiontransformed violent frontiersmen like Cresap into celebrated patriots while Native Americans like Logan were marginalized. The discussion focuses on a famous document known as "Logan's Lament," published in the Pennsylvania Journal, in which a Mingo leader named Loganblames a "Colonel Cresap" for the cold-blooded murder of his family. Musical Journey Through the Final Week of December: This Week in Music History As the calendar year draws to a close, the week of December 22nd through December 28th stands as a powerful reminder that music history never sleeps—not even during the holidays. In this captivating episode of “This Week in Music History,” hosts Buzz Knight and Harry Jacobs take listeners on an extraordinary journey through decades of musical milestones, tragic losses, and triumphant achievements that have shaped the soundtrack of our lives. The conversation opens with a poignant reflection on the end of another year of exploring music’s rich tapestry. Buzz muses on how, despite covering similar calendar dates year after year, they continue to uncover new stories and perspectives. “When you think about it, you would think, well, if you do it year after year, you’re going to be talking about the same things,” Buzz observes. “And the truth is, we continue to uncover new and different things.” This sentiment perfectly captures the infinite depth of music history and the endless stories waiting to be told. The Clash’s Revolutionary Voice Falls Silent December 22nd marks the anniversary of one of punk rock’s most devastating losses—the death of Joe Strummer in 2002. Born John Meller, the Clash frontman passed away from pneumonia at a time when his influence on music and culture was still reverberating through generations of artists. The Clash represented more than just a band; they were a political and social force that challenged conventions and inspired countless musicians to use their platform for more than entertainment. Strummer’s legacy as a voice for the disenfranchised and his commitment to authentic, passionate rock and roll continues to inspire artists today. A Candle in the Wind That Lost Its Luster The hosts touch on Elton John’s iconic “Candle in the Wind,” originally written about Marilyn Monroe in 1967. While the song initially resonated as a beautiful tribute, its later reworking for Princess Diana’s funeral created what Buzz describes as “overkill.” The constant repetition following Diana’s tragic death in 1997 caused the song to lose some of its original emotional impact for many listeners. This phenomenon speaks to how even the most beautiful pieces of music can become dulled through overexposure, demonstrating the delicate balance between honoring memory and respecting the power of restraint. Cheap Trick’s Complex Family Dynamics A fascinating deep dive into the internal dynamics of Cheap Trick reveals the complicated nature of band relationships and business structures. Rick Nielsen, the legendary guitar player known for his collection of hundreds of guitars—including his famous five-neck Hamer guitar—represents the performative and creative heart of Cheap Trick. The band’s 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction marked a peak moment, but beneath the surface lay complex tensions. The departure of bassist Bunny Carlos and the subsequent addition of Rick Nielsen’s son, Dax, initially appeared to follow the pattern of other famous rock family transitions, like Michael Anthony’s replacement by Wolfgang Van Halen in Van Halen. However, the reality proved far more nuanced. Buzz’s research uncovered ongoing strife within the band, though Carlos remains part of the Cheap Trick corporation—a business structure similar to Journey’s arrangement with Steve Perry. This setup ensures that founding members maintain ownership stakes even when they’re no longer actively touring, though it can also create lasting tension and legal complications. The hosts explore the darker side of band politics, touching on stories of sabotage and ego clashes. There are tales of Journey band members allegedly pulling on Steve Perry’s microphone cord during performances to make him trip—petty acts of revenge that reveal the intense pressures and personalities at play in successful rock bands. Yet they also note that time can heal wounds, pointing to Perry and Neal Schon’s apparently warm relationship at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction, despite whatever conflicts may have existed in their past. The Therapeutic Approach: A New Model for Band Longevity In a refreshing counterpoint to tales of band dysfunction, Buzz shares insights from his conversation with The Head and the Heart on his “Music Saved Me” podcast. This indie pop alternative band has taken an innovative approach to managing interpersonal relationships: group therapy. Band members openly discuss how they’ve used professional counseling to navigate the challenges of creative collaboration, life on the road, and the inevitable conflicts that arise when passionate artists work together for years. This revelation prompts fascinating speculation about how many legendary bands might have avoided breakups, lawsuits, and lasting bitterness if they’d embraced therapy earlier. The deeply personal nature of musical creation—leaving your heart exposed in every performance, every recording—makes these relationships particularly vulnerable to conflict. As Harry notes, “even if it’s a drummer or a bass player, it’s still your piece of that performance of that song you left your heart out there.” The music exists forever as a testament to that vulnerability, creating permanent emotional stakes that can intensify disagreements and hurt feelings. Joe Cocker: A Voice That Couldn’t Be Contained The passing of Joe Cocker at age 70 in 2014 brings reflection on an artist whose expressive, explosive performances made him unforgettable. While 70 might not seem particularly old from our current vantage point—as Buzz and Harry, approaching 60 and 70 respectively, can attest—Cocker’s hard-living lifestyle took its toll. His performances were legendary, inspiring John Belushi’s spot-on “Saturday Night Live” impersonation that Cocker himself found hilarious. Cocker’s career highlights include his cover of The Beatles’ “With a Little Help from My Friends,” which became the theme for the television series “The Wonder Years,” and “Up Where We Belong,” his duet with Jennifer Warnes from the film “An Officer and a Gentleman.” The latter song became inextricably linked with that powerful film starring Richard Gere and Lou Gossett Jr., whose portrayal of a drill instructor was genuinely frightening and contributed to one of cinema’s most memorable moments—Gere’s character’s desperate declaration: “I got nowhere else to go.” Eddie Vedder: The Humble Superstar December 23rd celebrates the birthday of Eddie Vedder, born in 1964, whose appreciation for musical history and those who came before him sets him apart in an industry often dominated by ego. The hosts draw parallels to Dave Grohl, noting how both artists exhibit genuine humility and respect for their influences. Vedder’s collaborations with Neil Young, particularly their version of “Rockin’ in the Free World,” helped establish his credibility beyond Pearl Jam circles, while his passionate renditions of The Who’s classics—especially “Love, Reign o’er Me”—have become legendary in their own right. Vedder’s versatility shines through in his cover work, from The Waiting by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers to The English Beat’s “Save It for Later,” featured in the television series “The Bear.” His interpretation of Tom Petty’s “Room at the Top” particularly resonates, described as “so beautiful” in its delicate handling of Petty’s original composition. The discussion of “The Bear” opens a tangent about the show’s exceptional soundtrack curation, featuring all Tom Petty covers including a barn-burning version of “Runnin’ Down the Dream” by Larkin Poe. Despite Pearl Jam’s reputation for deep cuts and extensive catalogs—which might intimidate casual fans—the hosts acknowledge being captivated whenever they hear Vedder sing anything. His voice and interpretive skills transcend the barrier of familiarity, making even unknown material compelling. The Unsung Guitar Legends of Country Music The conversation shifts to Glen Campbell, whose passing on December 24th prompts reflection on his extraordinary but often underappreciated guitar skills. Campbell represents a generation of country musicians whose technical prowess gets overshadowed by genre stereotypes. Like Roy Clark, Campbell could do virtually anything on guitar, yet many people don’t associate country music with virtuoso instrumentalists. Campbell’s session work tells the story of his versatility—he played on albums by The Monkees, The Beach Boys, Frank Sinatra, and soundtracks for Elvis films and Phil Spector productions. This breadth demonstrates how the Nashville studio system produced some of the most skilled musicians in any genre, even if they didn’t always receive recognition outside country music circles. The discussion of Campbell also touches on Brian Wilson’s 1964 breakdown, a tragic moment that had long-lasting consequences for the Beach Boys and Wilson himself. The psychological damage inflicted by Wilson’s abusive father Murry Wilson—compared to Joe Jackson’s treatment of his children—demonstrates how family trauma can derail even the most talented artists. Brian’s struggles with touring and performing were just the beginning of severe mental health challenges that would plague him throughout his career. The Police: Reunion Done Right In 2007, The Police earned recognition as the year’s highest-grossing tour, thirty years after the band’s inception and 24-25 years after their previous collaboration. The reunion tour, which Buzz witnessed in Las Vegas, comprised over 150 shows worldwide and generated nearly $400 million—not a bad payday for a comeback. This success demonstrated the enduring appeal of Sting, Andy Summers, and Stewart Copeland’s unique blend of rock, reggae, and new wave, proving that some artistic chemistry remains potent even after decades apart.Support the show: https://takinawalk.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Hope for Right Now Podcast – Trust in the Impossible: An Advent Series, John the Baptist While Walking with Purpose founder Lisa takes time to write our next women's Bible study, Laura is keeping the Hope for Right Now podcast going strong with a four-week series: Trust in the Impossible: An Advent Series. Advent is meant to be a time of interior reflection—the weeks we prepare our hearts and homes to receive the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. But with the secular world's demands and distractions, keeping our eyes on what matters can be challenging, and the season of quiet we dream about feels impossible. What if this Advent, we said no to the overwhelm of the secular world and yes to the overshadowing of the Spirit? Each week, Laura introduces a Biblical figure from the gospel of Luke, whose story reveals the secret to a simple, peace-filled Advent—one where we yield to God's will, respond in faith, and trust in the impossible.   Today's Biblical figure: John The Baptist. If you tend to neglect John the Baptist during Advent, be sure to tune in and discover why he is significant to the gospel, but also to us right now, in these last days before the birth of Christ. Open your Heart to our key Scripture. Luke 1:57-66 Open your Bible to other Scriptures referenced in this episode. Luke 11:28: Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it! Isaiah 40:3–5: A voice cries: “In the wilderness prepare the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God. Every valley shall be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; the uneven ground shall become level, and the rough places a plain. And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of the Lord has spoken.” Matthew 3:1–3: In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judea, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” For this is he who was spoken of by the prophet Isaiah when he said, “The voice of one crying in the wilderness; prepare the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.” Luke 1:41–44: Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, and she exclaimed with a loud cry … For behold, when the voice of your greeting came to my ears, the babe in my womb leaped for joy. Doubt and unbelief: The lack of faith that makes trusting in God's plan and power challenging. Sin: Unconfessed sin creates a barrier to a close relationship with God. Self-sufficiency: The belief that we can get by without divine help. Lack of forgiveness: A huge hinderance to your spiritual progress.  External/circumstantial obstacles Worldly distractions and desires: Focusing on material possessions or the cares of this life more than God. Distractions and being too busy: A busy schedule can leave little time or energy for spiritual devotion. External pressure and societal expectations: The world can be tough, and it may not understand or support your faith.  Lack of clarity or understanding: Misinformation, wrong teachings, or a failure to understand God's will can create confusion. Magatte was key voice and important influence in the film I directed, Poverty, Inc. She is a force for promoting freedom, the dignity of the person, and entrepreneurial solutions to poverty in Africa and throughout the world. I've know Magatte for many years and am delighted to have her on the podcast. We discuss the misconceptions surrounding African poverty and the need for economic freedom and institutions of justice – private property, rule of law, and ability to participate in the formal economy - for fostering opportunity and human flourishing for the poor. At the end of our conversation we also talk about poverty in America, the American dream from the perspective of an immigrant, emphasizing the need for a balance between material prosperity and moral values. Magatte emphasizes that Africa will only thrive through entrepreneurship, political and economic freedom, and a commitment to rule of law and human dignity.Biography Magatte Wade is founder of SkinIsSkin, and Senior Fellow at Atlas Network, the leading organization of African free-market think tanks. Turner walks through the fault lines of modern biology, pointing to the quiet mind-like shimmer in organisms shaping their worlds. The conversation moves slowly, deliberately, as if the universe itself were leaning in to listen. Explore the concept of 'praying without ceasing' as explained through 1 Thessalonians 5:17: "Pray without ceasing.” This insightful video delves into the idea of regular, heartfelt prayer and how it connects us to a divine 'live stream' from heaven. Discover the joy and power of prayer as more than a duty, but a delightful interaction with God's presence, supported by biblical references and historical anecdotes. God Himself is the initiator of prayer. Prayer begins in God and we are all just joining in the Live Stream of prayer that Heaven is already making available. All we have to do is to join it and be carried along with the Stream of Prayer that is flowing from Him. ‘Without ceasing' means REGULARLY, without any unnecessary gaps, as often as required. The word 'adialeiptos' (translated ‘without ceasing') was used to describe a tickling cough. A tickling cough is not one where you cough non-stop. It means that you cough without long gaps between coughs! *I. Let's move from RARE PRAYER to REGULAR PRAYER. Regular prayer doesn't mean that we are praying 24/7, but that we are in a constant flow of prayer. We are constantly accessing Heaven's Live Stream of prayer, which catches us up into God's Presence to walk with Him. “Praying at ALL TIMES (in every opportunity) with all kinds of prayer IN the SPIRIT (Ephesians 6:18). This is the key to joining Heaven's Live Stream of Prayer. We struggle to join it with our head! Our head is too limited. That's why we have the Holy Spirit living within our spirits, who makes us able to join that Live Stream. He helps us to tune into the bandwidth of Heaven and join in with what's flowing from God's Throne. We need to PRAY in the SPIRIT. Praying in tongues is one way we can pray in the Spirit, and join Heaven's Live Stream, but it is not the only way. Praying in the Spirit is praying from the Spirit within us, depending on the Spirit to lead and empower us in prayer. It is a way in which we pray, and a place from which we pray, more than it is a kind of prayer. *II. Let's move from HEAD to HEART. We will never be able to pray without ceasing, if we pray only from our HEAD. We have to go from prayer that only comes out of our HEADS to praying from our HEARTS, prayer in which we bring up from the core of our being, expressing God's life & heart of God within us. It's praying from our HEART. Martin Luther: “Prayer is climbing up into the heart of God.” God invites us to pray from His heart - praying from His lap, from His Father heart. We hear His heartbeat, as we put our head to His heart, like the beloved disciple (John) at the Last Supper, who laid his head on Jesus' chest (John 13:23). We can hear His heartbeat and pray His heart. The Holy Spirit will give us the right word to return to the Father in prayer. Prayer is joining God's Live Stream, so what pours out of Heaven through His Word & Spirit enters into us, and through prayer we offer it back to Him in Heaven. Then He responds in the Earth with answers: “So shall My Word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and prosper in the thing for which I sent it” (Isaiah 54:11). Man was never designed to live only from his HEAD. Man was designed to live from his HEART, from the core of his being. And so, let us PRAY from there. *III. Let's move from DUTY to DELIGHT. God wants us to take us from the DUTY of prayer to the DELIGHT of prayer. For many people, prayer is a CHORE, or worse a BORE, when it is so much MORE! Prayer is a DELIGHT. In Matthew 21:13, Jesus quoted from Isaiah 56:7: “I will make them JOYFUL in My House of PRAYER.” There is JOY in the House of PRAYER. Have we found joy in prayer? If not, let's get into Prayer's Live Stream. God's Live Stream will carry you on and carry you up! Psalm 34:5: “They looked to Him (in prayer) and their faces were light (radiant with joy).” When we look to God in prayer, rather than looking to ourselves and our own resources, we go beyond the DUTY and the DISCIPLINE of prayer, and get caught up in the DELIGHT (joy) of prayer. 1Thess 5:17 is the meat in the sandwich: “pray without ceasing.” 1Thess 5:16 & 18 are the bread. These 3 verses are a triptych of simple exhortations: “(1) REJOICE always, (2) PRAY without ceasing, (3) in everything GIVE THANKS” (1Thess 5:16-18). God doesn't want us in the DRUDGERY of prayer! He wants us to discover the DELIGHT of prayer. So, let us join Heaven's Live Stream of Prayer that God has made available to us.
