This year we are doing my group coaching course together via this podcast! It's free and it only gets better as the year progresses. In January we are working on building the habit of a morning prayer routine. I highly recommend the rosary. It's only about 20 minutes and you'll meditate on the whole life of Jesus with each passing mystery. Before moving on to decluttering in February, get your morning prayer routine going. This program builds on itself and you'll need a strong foundation of faith if you are going to succeed this year. If you're new, give this first episode of 2026 a listen to hear where to begin: 316. Your 2026 Life Overhaul Plan: Faith, Clutter, Debt, Diet and More! If you've never prayed a rosary or you want to see how you can incorporate it into active decluttering, here is the first episode of my rosary declutter series from last summer. 288. Summer Declutter Series Week ***Are you so overwhelmed with clutter that you find yourself unable to make any decisions? Do you plan on decluttering only to find yourself standing in a room confused about where to start? Are you hoping motivation will strike and you'll get it all done in one weekend? If this sounds like you, let's work together. Book a one hour virtual coaching session via Zoom. Together we craft a decluttering plan and I walk you through the process. You'll complete much of the decluttering on your own time at your own pace. I just give you the roadmap and the accountability. Cost $77 per hour. Virtual Coaching Schedule Not sure what you need? No problem! Book a complimentary 15 minute clarity call. We'll meet via Zoom and see if working with me would benefit you. Email me at: tightshipmama@gmail.com to schedule a time. Companion planting can feel confusing fast. Charts, rules, and exceptions make it hard to know what really works. But what if you already understand companion planting better than you think? The foods you naturally cook together often grow well together, too. In this episode, I share a simple way to think about companion planting by looking at familiar kitchen pairings. Tomatoes and basil. Onions and peppers. Carrots and celery. When you connect what belongs together on your plate with what thrives together in the garden, companion planting starts to feel intuitive instead of overwhelming. free download: The Beginner's Garden Resource Vault Get complimentary access to a library of printable charts, guides, and tools to help you grow food with less overwhelm.
CJ Bruce is the Founder and CEO of The Missing Ingredient, a Sacramento-based food marketing agency that helps healthful and sustainable food and beverage brands grow. The agency specializes in performance marketing, paid media, influencer campaigns, and AI-driven strategies. Since 2016, CJ has led a team of 15, working with brands like Amy's Kitchen, Sumo Citrus, Baskin-Robbins, and Milk Bar. A certified plant-based chef and former food influencer, he combines his passion for food and technology to help brands stand out, connect with consumers, and scale. In this episode… What makes some food products stand out while others fade into obscurity? Why do certain brands go viral, gaining devoted fans almost overnight, while others never leave the shelves? Could the secret lie in the right mix of marketing creativity, influencer partnerships, and technology? As noted by food marketing veteran CJ Bruce, the intersection of creative passion, tactical strategy, and AI integration defines the modern path to success. He highlights the importance of building genuine relationships with influencers rather than relying on one-off partnerships, creatively engaging consumers through contests, and leveraging digital workflows to scale brands quickly. By combining micro-influencer campaigns, viral video content, and AI-driven processes, even niche products can gain cult followings and achieve measurable growth. He emphasizes that balancing technology with authentic human connection is key to capturing attention in today's fast-moving food landscape. In this episode of the Inspired Insider Podcast, Dr. Jeremy Weisz sits down with CJ Bruce, Founder and CEO of The Missing Ingredient, to discuss mastering food and beverage brand growth in the digital era. They explore how CJ uses AI to streamline campaigns, the strategies behind viral influencer marketing, and how to tap into emerging food trends for rapid growth. CJ also shares practical tools and workflows that help brands scale while staying agile.

Chloe Tucker Caine joins the show to discuss her fascinating transition from a national tour leading lady to a high stakes real estate powerhouse on Netflix's Owning Manhattan. She shares the vulnerable reality of arriving in New York expecting a parade only to find herself bartending and eventually running an "illegal" Airbnb business out of her Hell's Kitchen apartment. Chloe opens up about the secret life she led while establishing her real estate career, including sneaking off to vocal lessons and dance classes between property showings because she feared being dismissed as just another "annoying theater kid". The conversation dives deep into the creation of her viral "property musicals," a niche that blends her performance background with luxury sales to help move quirky listings that had previously sat on the market for years. Chloe reflects on the lessons learned from being cut on the first night of an MTV reality show and how motherhood has shifted her professional perspective from wanting to be a "shark" to simply being her authentic self. From recording her single "Fly High" for her daughter to her dreams of playing Velma Kelly in Chicago, Chloe proves that you don't have to close the door on your passions to find massive success in a new field. Chloe Tucker Caine is a multifaceted performer and real estate agent who starred as Sophie in the national tour of Mamma Mia!. She is a central cast member on the Netflix series Owning Manhattan and a top agent at the SERHANT. brokerage. Just in time for KBIS this year, I sat down with Jason McGraw from EmeraldX and Leanne Wood with Flying Camel to talk about the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) to preview the upcoming 2026 event in Orlando. This conversation dives deep into the strategic shifts for this year's show, including the expansion of the floor plan to nearly 1.2 million net square feet and the introduction of a new editorial format for product debuts. A major theme for KBIS 2026 is the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across the industry. From the dedicated “Technology” track in the Voices from the Industry (VFTI) conference to live panel debates on AI’s role in luxury design, the show is positioning itself as the epicenter for modern design workflows. The team also discusses practical “pro-tips” for navigating the massive Orange County Convention Center, ensuring attendees maximize their time between the West, South, and North halls. You still have time to register and prepare for a groundbreaking event that will shape the way you think about your design business and sharpen your specification skills. And if you are going to the show this year in Orlando, please make sure you stop by the KBIS Podcast Studio and say hello. The KBIS 2026 Footprint: With over 700 exhibitors and 100,000+ expected professionals, Jason McGraw explains the logistical expansion into the Discovery District (located in the Rosen Centre) and how to navigate the skybridges and shuttles. Innovation Hour: Replacing the traditional “Design Bytes,” this new fast-paced “show + tell” session at noon on February 17th allows brands to present tactile stories. The audience will vote live for “Most Innovative” and “Most Unexpected.” AI and Technology: Leanne emphasizes how AI is no longer a “future” concept but a daily tool. This year features a “Technology Activation” and sessions focused on AI-powered customer journeys and smarter design workflows. The Best of KBIS Awards: The awards have expanded to seven categories, including “Sustainable Standout” and “Wellness Trailblazer.” Winners will be announced live on the NEXTStage on February 18th. The KBIS Podcast Studio: Now relocated to the West Hall Lobby, the studio—hosted by Josh—will feature 12 live sessions covering leadership, luxury, and the “business of design.” Wellness & Sustainability: For the first time, these two tracks have been merged into a unified focus, reflecting the interconnected nature of healthy, resilient living environments. Firefighters are trained to run toward danger — but too often, their own health is what's at risk. In this episode of the Plant Strong Podcast, Rip sits down with fellow firefighter Andy Schaefer of Avon, Ohio, whose journey into plant-based eating began with a life-altering decision: donating one of his kidneys to his brother-in-law.Determined to be as healthy and resilient as possible, Andy adopted a whole-food, plant-based lifestyle more than five years ago — and the results were undeniable. Faster recovery, dramatically improved biomarkers, more stamina on the fireground, and a renewed sense of purpose. Today, Andy is leading from the firehouse kitchen, fueling his crew with plant-strong meals that leave them feeling energized, focused, and ready to perform when the alarm sounds. From zucchini fritters that changed an entire shift's perspective on food, to the deeper reality that nearly 85% of fire calls are lifestyle-related medical emergencies, this conversation is about service, brotherhood, and reclaiming health — one plate at a time.Key TakeawaysPeak performance starts with the fork. Andy's plant-based diet helped him recover quickly from kidney donation surgery and outperform expectations on physically demanding fireground drills.Leadership doesn't require a badge or rank. By cooking plant-based meals at the firehouse, Andy inspired his crew to eat more plants, feel less fatigued, and perform better on shift.Firefighters are tactical athletes. Like professional athletes, first responders must be ready at any moment — and nutrition plays a critical role in stamina, breathing control, and long-term health.Sadly, nearly 85% of fire calls are lifestyle-related medical emergencies and not fires, at all.Episode WebpageWatch the Episode on YouTube

In this Teen Tidbit, I share how the kitchen is one of the most powerful places to pass on family values through working side by side toward a common goal. Cooking together naturally opens up conversation and creates opportunities to model what matters most, whether that is serving others, being good stewards of our resources, or choosing real food as part of daily life. I talk about how asking teens to cook foods they may not personally enjoy teaches empathy and service, how flexible cooking skills help reduce food waste and stretch a grocery budget, and how making simple meals from whole ingredients builds healthier habits without being overwhelming. When teens learn to cook, adapt recipes, and use what they already have, they gain far more than a meal, they absorb the values that shape your family culture and carry them into adulthood.Get the parenting video series now at raisinghealthyfamilies.com/teenvids or check out Teens Cook Real Food at raisinghealthyfamilies.com/teenscookResources We Mention for Passing on Family Values in the KitchenTeens Cook Real Food courseFree 3-part video series on parenting teens intentionallyTeen Tidbit 1 on ownershipTeen Tidbit 2 on agencyTeen Tidbit 3 on overcoming perfectionismWays to avoid food wasteCream of vegetable soup frameworkChicken stockHere are some of my favorite baby steps for eating more real food.Subscribe to the podcast so you don't miss any episodes this week! Episode 95 - Murdock and Marvel: 2021 As the Covid-19 pandemic entered its second year comics continued to charge forward, with the unchallenged biggest year in the history of the medium (so far!) in 2021. She and Stick have uncovered a book that could finally wipe out the Hand, but it requires a King and a Queen. Translation: Daredevil and Elektra. Matt refuses, believing prison is his penance. Elektra walks away… but not from Hell's Kitchen. On the streets, Elektra becomes Daredevil — literally putting on the horns to protect the neighborhood while Matt can't. Her first night nearly kills her until Stick intervenes, confirming the book's prophecy: only one of the King or Queen survives. Meanwhile, symbiotes descend on the city, targeting a mother and her daughter Alice, and Elektra-as-Daredevil jumps straight into the chaos. The symbiote crisis explodes everywhere at once — Typhoid Mary joins the fight, Fisk scrambles for control, and the creatures even breach Matt's prison. Mistaking them for Venom at first, Daredevil is briefly overtaken by a symbiote tied to Knull himself, who offers partnership and power. Matt rejects it the hardest way possible — strapping himself into an electric chair to burn the symbiote out rather than escape prison. Elektra's war turns personal as Mary bonds with a symbiote and targets her. In a brutal construction-site showdown, Mary kills Alice's mother, nearly kills Elektra, and walks away believing Daredevil is dead. Elektra survives, consoles Alice, and quietly takes the orphaned girl under her wing — not to comfort her, but to prepare her. “First you're sad,” she tells her. “Then you're angry. That's when I can help.” Back inside, Matt spirals — poisoned, hallucinating, and haunted by the deaths tied to his past as a prosecutor. Inmates die mysteriously; the warden circles him like a vulture, and when Daredevil is lured into the yard, he's jumped, stabbed, and left bleeding out as the warden declares him dead. Crime shifts hands in Hell's Kitchen while Matt is down. Elektra shakes down Izzy Libris, demands tribute, and Izzy responds by handing control of Hell's Kitchen to Butch — an Owl defector and, in a major reveal in the Daredevil Annual last year, Wilson Fisk's son. Meanwhile, Mike Murdock is posing as Matt on the outside, secretly working with Butch to undermine Izzy from within. Matt survives the prison attack and wakes up in the hospital to Foggy, Kirsten, Cole North, and the FBI. They want his help investigating a string of inside-job murders in exchange for commuting his sentence. Matt agrees… but insists he'll still serve the full two years. This isn't about freedom anymore — it's about responsibility. Everything starts breaking loose at once: Elektra and Alice survive an ambush when Alice pulls the trigger herself; Fisk and Mary quietly plan their future over dinner; and Ravencroft calls with catastrophic news — Bullseye has slaughtered everyone inside and escaped. Two Daredevils. A rising crime heir. And the Devil's deadliest enemy is back on the board. The final story arch of 2021 is an action packed 6-book story arch called “Lock Down”. In this episode, Caroline Stanbury sits down with Allison Ellsworth, the woman who turned a simple kitchen experiment into Poppi ,a global brand valued at $1.9 billion. What started as a personal health solution made at home became one of the most disruptive beverage companies in the world. From Shark Tank to scaling a billion-dollar business, Allison shares what it truly takes to turn an idea into an empire and what success actually costs behind the scenes.✨ A must-listen for anyone with ideas, ambition, and the courage to start, even if it begins at the kitchen counter. Thanks for listening! We've long been told that health starts in the gut, but what if the key to ageing well begins with your muscles? This week I'm joined by Dr Gabrielle Lyon, physician, author of Forever Strong, and founder of the muscle-centric medicine movement. Gabrielle's work reframes how we think about muscle not just for strength or aesthetics, but as a powerful metabolic and endocrine organ that drives longevity, energy, and resilience. In this episode we discuss:
In this episode, we perceive an attempt to change a person’s course of action, as depicted in Sangam Literary work, Aganaanooru 168, penned by Kotampalathu Thunjiya Cheramaan. The verse is situated amidst the soaring peaks of the ‘Kurinji’ or ‘Mountain landscape’ and portrays the dangers of treading through this domain in the dark. In this little trip to the highlands, we get to hear the confidante say these words to the man, as he prepares to leave after his nightly tryst with the lady: “After spending nights with you, full of affliction, she remains with tear-filled eyes at other times; And so, you must give it up, O lord of the sky-soaring mountains! In the shadow of a peak called ‘Pallaankundram', spreads a town called ‘Kuzhumoor', filled with fine cattle. Here, rules a king called ‘Uthiyan', the one with an unswerving heart, who has assumed the duty of charity. Akin to the uproar in his kitchen, cascades resound in the slopes of the majestic mountain ranges. Here, embracing its dark mate that has just given birth, a male elephant stands in guard of its calf with a swaying gait, even as a strong, harsh-eyed, striped tiger leaves its cozy den in the cave in loneliness, and steps out, roaring aloud amidst the mountain bamboos, in the dead dark of the night, when the mountain folk are fast asleep. Indeed, you must give up your trips through these small bushy paths, frequented by beasts many, at this hour!” It’s time for a midnight stroll through the mountains! The confidante talks about how the lady is all smiles and delight when she is with the man, during their nightly trysts, but the moment he leaves, she seems to be filled with suffering, with tears threatening to leap beyond the bounds of her eyelids. So, the confidante tells the man that he must give up something he’s been doing. Without directly telling what it is, she goes on to talk about a king named ‘Uthiyan’ and his town of ‘Kuzhumoor’, a town in the shadow of a peak called ‘Pallaankundram’, which translates as ‘the peak of cattle many’. No coincidence, the town is said to have many cattle indeed, echoing its wealth. The confidante takes us to the kitchen of this king’s palace and there’s a loud noise, lot of uproar, why because the king had sworn to uphold unceasing charity. That’s why his kitchen was always abuzz! The confidante has mentioned this fact only to place in parallel that uproar to the resounding roar of the cascades in their mountains. And here, she points to how a male elephant is embracing its female and guarding their newborn calf, even as the roar of a tiger that has left its cave resounds in the air. The confidante details how all this is happening in the middle of the night and it’s his walking in the dark amidst those narrow mountain paths that the man must give up! ‘Don’t you add angst to the lady’s heart’, the confidante seems to be telling the man, revealing how much the lady fears for the man’s safety, echoing her love for him. At the same time, telling the man that the lady cannot bear to be apart from him. In a hidden way, the confidante tells the man the only path forward was to forget this temporary trysting and seek the lady’s hand in marriage. ‘Marry her, marry her’ indeed, but interesting that we got to listen to the uproarious sounds in an ancient kitchen that never stops working, and keeps piling mounds and mounds of food, for all those who arrive at that doorstep, seeking! A capture of generosity and prosperity in one shot!

Why does The Great British Baking Show feel soothing while Hell's Kitchen activates our nervous systems? In this episode of Put Your Books Down, Natalie Sanderson Jones and Angela Bingham dive into the psychology of cooking shows, celebrity chefs, and why watching adults scream over risotto is somehow considered entertainment. From Gordon Ramsay's public persona versus his real-life charm, to Paul Hollywood's quietly terrifying handshake, the hosts unpack why kindness feels radical in competition television. They compare Top Chef, Hell's Kitchen, The Bear, and British Baking, explore whether chefs have to be ruthless to succeed, and break down why some shows feel emotionally safe while others feel exhausting. Along the way: Ratatouille metaphors, chef egos, true crime comfort viewing, spatchcocked chickens, and why yelling is not a personality. If you love pop culture analysis, food TV debates, and honest conversations about why some shows calm us while others overwhelm us, this episode delivers. Here's a cosmic riddle for you: A blind man and a mod walk into a bar…. Is it a coffee bar, with a make-shift stage on a corner platform, attended by the beatnik intelligentsia?, or is it a sweaty discotheque packed with beautiful people unabashedly swinging their hips? It's definitely a transmogrifying chamber where the musical output of a sharecropper or convict from the work farm can be turned into sexy jazzbo stylings through the sleight of hand of some nifty cultural appropriation and syncopated finesse. There are many manifestations of the “blues” and here we have two vastly different - practically unrecognizable from each other - masters - Sleepy John Estes (1899-1977), and Georgie Fame (born 1943) - existing across the pond, across generations, and across many layers of lived experience, but bonded by their singular love of this primitive music that started in the Mississippi delta, and went on to conquer the world. SLEEPY JOHN ESTESEverybody thought that Sleepy John Estes was dead because Big Bill Broonzy said so. Blind in one eye, folks called him “sleepy” because of a low blood pressure disorder, or some believed he had narcolepsy. He started recording in the 20's with Hammie Nixon on harp, made some records, went basically “radio silent” throughout the 40s and 50s until Sam Charters rediscovered him in 1962, blind and frail, and kick-started his late in life fame. “Rats in my Kitchen” was recorded at Sun Studios in 1952, but it wasn't until 10 years later that his recording career gained traction, fueled by those he was influencing across the pond, like Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin. Sleepy John always wrote about his life, and this record has an almost journalistic authenticity. GEORGIE FAMEWhat can one say about Georgie Fame? The man has style for days, and it was thus from the very beginning - in shark skin suits, tab collars, and skinny ties. Born in 1943 as Clive Powell, Georgie Fame and his Blue Flames made their bones swinging his Hammond organ in the mod clubs of the early 60s, and had big commercial hits with Yeh Yeh, and The Ballad of Bonnie and Clyde. Recently, he's name checked all over the place, and has done notable collaborations with Van Morrison and others. In Parchman Farm you can hear the undeniable influence of the coolest of the cool white blues men, Mose Allison, and the organ of Booker T and the MGs' Green Onions - a persuasive combination. I'm sure that Bukka White, who wrote this bottle neck Delta blues shouter in 1940 had no inkling that his experience in the Mississippi State Pen would become such a sexy signature tune. You never can tell….
What is a ghost kitchen? Thanks for asking! For many of us, it's been a long time since we last set foot in a pub or restaurant. We've become more accustomed than ever before to navigating our favourite food delivery apps until we find something that catches our fancy. But do we actually know how and where our meals are prepared? Don't they need a restaurant in order to prepare delivery food? So are ghost kitchens going to kill off traditional restaurants? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! To listen to the last episodes, you can click here: What is poverty porn? What is Stop Asian Hate? Who is Ousmane Sonko? Elle Simone Scott recently died of ovarian cancer at the age of 49. This week's Reheat is our conversation with Elle from 2021.Elle once said that a food stylist's job is to tell the story of the food — and in her work on shows for Bravo, Food Network, and America's Test Kitchen, she went to great lengths to do just that. Combing through boxes of cereal for the best-looking cornflakes? Check. Throwing ice cubes across the room to capture the perfect splash? No problem. Elle joined us to share some food styling secrets — and got real about her background in social work, why representation matters in food photography, and her battle with cancer.Read Elle's obituary in The New York Times. This episode originally aired on January 4, 2021, and was produced by Dan Pashman, Emma Morgenstern, Andres O'Hara, Tomeka Weatherspoon, Tracey Samuelson, and Jared O'Connell. Jacques Pépin just turned 90, and he's spent his career defying expectations. By 1958, at the age of 23, he had cooked for three French presidents. But he left that life to work at a high-end restaurant in New York, then gave that up to cook at Howard Johnson's, making food for the masses. After a life-altering accident, Jacques found his next love: teaching other people how to cook. By the early ‘90s he was one of America's best-known TV chefs. This week, Dan visits Jacques at his home in Connecticut, where the chef shares his recipe for SPAM, talks about his pivot to Instagram, and discusses the pleasures of a life spent experimenting.Jacques Pépin's latest book is The Art of Jacques Pépin: Favorite Recipes and Paintings from My Life in the Kitchen. This episode originally aired on January 24, 2022, and was produced by Dan Pashman, Emma Morgenstern, Andres O'Hara, Johanna Mayer, Tracey Samuelson, and Jared O'Connell.
