Dr. Hans-Joachim Maaz ist Psychiater und Publizist. Geprägt durch die Vertreibung seiner Eltern aus dem Sudetenland und sein Leben in der DDR hat Maaz sich ein Leben lang mit der bundesdeutschen Gesellschaft aus psychoanalytischer Sicht auseinandergesetzt. Maaz Bin Bilal is a poet, translator, and academic. His first collection of poetry, Ghazalnama: Poems from Delhi, Belfast, and Urdu, was shortlisted for the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar. His translations of Fikr Taunvis's Partition diary, The Sixth River, and Mirza Ghalib's Persian long poem on Banaras, Chiragh-e-Dair, Temple Lamp, were also critically noted. Reviews of his books may be found in Wasafiri, World Literature Today, The Hindu, Indian Express, and other publications. His poems have been translated into German, Hindi, Irish, and Bengali. Maaz was the recipient of the Charles Wallace Trust fellowship in writing and translation in Wales (2018–19), and the Akademie Schloss Solitude fellowship in writing in Germany (2022–23). He holds a PhD on the politics of friendship in E. M. Forster's work from Queen's University Belfast and teaches literary studies at O. P. Jindal Global University. Er kommt gar nicht hinterher, die Deutsche Gesellschaft zu analysieren. Diese Zeiten liefern immer mehr Stoff. Er tut es in Interviews, Artikeln und vor allem in vielen Büchern, die hoch spannend zu lesen sind. Mein Favorit darunter ist: "Die narzisstische Gesellschaft". Die Rede ist von dem Psychiater, Psychoanalytiker und Psychotherapeuten Prof. Hans-Joachim Maaz. Seine weiteren Titel lauten Gefühlsstau, "Das falsche Leben", "Das gespaltene Land" oder "Angstgesellschaft". Im letzten Jahr kam er mit "Friedensfähigkeit und Kriegslust" bei Frank & Timme heraus. Dazu hatten wir hier bei Radio München bereits ein Gespräch veröffentlicht, das der Autor Rumen Milkow führte. Rumen Milkow hatte erneut die Gelegenheit, mit Prof. Maaz zu sprechen, denn das Buch gibt noch viel mehr her, wenn man die nächsten Reaktionen unseres Landes auf Kriegsgeschehen beobachtet. Rumen Milkow wollte zunächst wissen, was Prof. Maaz unter dem Begriff Kriegslust versteht. Das Gespräch war zunächst bei MEGA Radio Aktuell erschienen.

Wie es um das Bildungsniveau in Deutschland steht, zeigen die heute veröffentlichten Ergebnissen der PISA-Studie. Im Fokus des internationalen Leistungsvergleichs stehen die Kompetenzen der 15-Jährigen in Mathematik, Naturwissenschaften, Lesen und erstmals auch im kreativen Denken. An dem „Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)“ nahmen dieses Jahr 81 Staaten weltweit teil. Was kann in Deutschland für mehr Bildungschancengleichheit getan werden? Dieser Frage gehen wir mit dem geschäftsführenden Direktor des Leibniz-Instituts Prof. Dr. Maaz nach. Außerdem erklärt Prof. Dr. Susanne Prediger, Professorin für Mathematikdidaktik und fachbezogene Professionalisierungsforschung, die Bedeutung von Sprache für die Mathematik und wie wir Mathe wieder erlebbarer machen können.

Ursache einer bejahenden Haltung zu Gewalt ist oft ein Gefühlsstau, ausgelöst durch frühkindliche Traumata. Exklusivabdruck aus „Friedensfähigkeit und Kriegslust“.Gesunde Menschen sehnen sich nach Liebe und einem friedfertigen Umgang miteinander; sie verabscheuen Gewalt und Hass. So könnte man jedenfalls meinen. Das Problem ist nur: Es gibt zu viele kranke Menschen, wenn man eine psychosoziale Definition von Krankheit zugrunde legt. „Lust auf Krieg“ — das ist als Phänomen gar nicht so selten. Viele individuelle Entwicklungsstörungen können sich im gesellschaftlichen Kontext dann zum „Bellizismus“ aufsummieren — zu einer auch ideologisch unterfütterten Kriegsbereitschaft als Staatsdoktrin. Die Ursachen liegen in gestauten Gefühlen, die Kinder in der Folge einer zu rigiden Sozialisation nicht zum Ausdruck bringen konnten. Vielfach können Aggressionen sublimiert werden — zum Beispiel in Form eines karrierefördernden Wettbewerbsdenkens. Unter bestimmten Umständen sind diese Auswege jedoch versperrt, und es kommt zu Phänomenen wirklich bösartiger Gewaltbereitschaft. Wo diese nicht physisch ausagiert werden kann, äußert sie sich oft in der Bejahung militärischer Kriegshandlungen durch die Bürger. Der renommierte Psychotherapeut Hans-Joachim Maaz erhellt in seinem neuen Buch die individualpsychologischen Ursachen der wiederentdeckten „Kriegsfähigkeit“ Deutschlands.Ein Standpunkt von Hans-Joachim Maaz.Die Kriegslust wird im digitalen Wörterbuch der deutschen Sprache als „rasche Bereitschaft zu einer kriegerischen Auseinandersetzung“ definiert (1). Ich halte „Kriegslust“ für ein Symptom einer psychosozialen Erkrankung, der ich für die individuelle Psychopathologie den Namen „Belliphilie“ (von lateinisch bellum — der Krieg — und griechisch philia — Liebe, Neigung) gegeben habe, um die persönliche Kriegslust eines Menschen von einer politischen Haltung, die den Einsatz militärischer Mittel zur Durchsetzung von Zielen befürwortet, zu unterscheiden. Book 12. Food Truck 777 Life takes some unexpected turns sometimes. In life, we also meet some very interesting characters and that is what inspires me. Have you ever had a person that you looked at and wondered... How do you manage to function at all in society? That is the basic premise of this book. Taking a fish out of water story of a very rich, snobbish arrogant individual and putting them in a highly unlikely situation. To torture them with mundane, everyday life sort of shit that we all need to do but he does not. Being rich means having privileges, let's face that fact. But what happens when you never had to deal with any of the average things that "normal" people need to deal with. The stress This is how the novel goes for the most part. To torture and upset the arrogant son of a bitch to the point where he needs to give up. Yet with an ego the size of a small country, he knows he cannot give up. This tension between arrogance, ego and failure is where this character is plopped into. He is not a fish out of water really. He is just living his life on a very upper level of society and does not see the way others live. This oversight is not his problem. He has been brought up with a silver spoon in his mouth and therefore he doesn't know better even though he should. He must endure the stress of everyday life in order to learn. This is where he grows as a character and learns that being nice is not a weakness. Real life. Tossing a Kardashian into the "real" world and making them lose every privilege in their life would surely bring them to their knees. I know what you are thinking. This could never happen, yet you could be wrong. There are plenty of athletes and celebrities that have had it all and lost it. Some have even ended up on the streets and forgotten. So yes it can happen. But how does one recuperate after hitting rock bottom? Well, that is where I as the writer come in and fix up a life I have torn down. While this book's main character is based on a real-life character, he has yet to lose it all. Even though at times I feel he should, so he too could learn a valuable life lesson. The back of the book. A rich young man falls from grace and must find a way to fend for himself when he loses everything. Unlikely friendships are formed when Maaz loses his father, his family business and his friends. Being poor does not always mean having nothing. Maaz must learn real-life lessons the hard way when he ends up with nothing and must start over alone. Life is hard when you have no friends and family to depend on. Friendships are formed when Maaz realizes that there is more to life than money. However, his road to realization is not as simple as he thinks. Compassion, friendships and giving back have very different effects on the mind and body. Today's episode is with Maaz Shaikh, a Junior Research Fellow pursuing his Ph.D. at the Centre for Linguistics, Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, India. Maaz is an emerging linguist having research interests primarily in language documentation and description, along with language revitalization, phonology, morpho-syntax, and historical linguistics. Last year, Maaz successfully defended his M.Phil. thesis at JNU on his heritage language Azamgarhi—a unique Indo-Aryan language, of which he is a semi-speaker. In this episode we will hear from Maaz on his experiences and opinions of “documenting” a language as an “insider” to the community. Der Grund unserer kollektiven Psychose liegt, so Maaz, im Zusammenspiel zwischen narzisstisch gestörten Eliten, die an ihrer Größe festhalten müssen, selbst, wenn sie Zweifel haben, und dem großen Teil der Menschen, die abhängig sind, die sich gerne führen und retten lassen wollen. Kurz: der Größenwahn und das Größenklein. Der Einzelne – von seinen Kompensationsmöglichkeiten beraubt – sucht den Schutz im Kollektiv. Und wenn dieser durch die Maßnahmen gegeben zu sein scheint, dann schließt sich das Individuum mit freudiger Bereitwilligkeit ihrer Durchsetzung an.   Im Gespräch mit mir redet der Psychoanalytiker über den Angstkomplex "Corona", die Spaltung der Gesellschaft, die Maaz als Krieg zwischen den Geschwistern, als eine Art Bürgerkrieg, bezeichnet, sowie den narzisstisch-gestörten Geisteszustand der Mächtigen. Er spricht jedoch auch, und dies ist ganz besonders wichtig, über rettende Auswege: Wege, die aktuelle Situation zu ertragen und Wege, wieder zueinander zu finden.   Dr. Hans-Joachim Maaz ist Psychiater, Psychoanalytiker und Autor. Knapp drei Jahrzehnte arbeitete er als Chefarzt in der Klinik für Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik in Halle und war langjähriger Vorsitzender der Deutschen Gesellschaft für analytische Psychotherapie und Tiefenpsychologie.   Er schrieb unter anderem die Bücher „Die narzisstische Gesellschaft“ oder „Das falsche Leben. Maaz has worked extensively with indigenous plant medicines and knowledge systems. Combining Islamic Sufi Mysticism with the medicine (Nixi-Pae/Ayahuasca) of the native Huni Kuin people from Brazil. As you'll hear, Maaz is a man with a life-long calling to work with Ayahuasca, but also to reignite and integrate ancient knowledge systems back into society to reinstate harmony with ourselves and nature. I first met Maaz at a Nixi-Pae (Ayahuasca) ceremony. I was astounded by his extensive knowledge and wisdom about plants and fungi as well has his ability to articulate the spiritual dimension of the experiences that they bring about. His ability to remain so centered and composed after drinking copious amounts of Ayahuasca and hold space in the strong, elegant way that he does made me feel like I was Frodo fighting alongside Legolas. I have since learned that this energy shines through Maaz in all that he does, and I am so grateful that he agreed to share some of it with us in this episode.
